               January 14, 2016

Dear Friends,

I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with you in love.

If you read Fr. Joe's book like I did on the 13th you can see how awesome it is.

It helps me understand what is happening in the writings during the liturgical year.

It is so very good, it makes me so eager to live the liturgy in my life,
live in the liturgical year.

Well we have sent over 13,000 of Fr. Joe's new cycle books since the beginning of November to priests and hierarchy
all over the world.

It can enrich so many lives with the weekly sermon rooted in the Word, the Eucharist,
the liturgy,
the Mass,

Baptism, love and unity.

When a priest uses the book weekly he focuses on the Bread of Life to feed the people.

Say a priest says 4 or 5 Masses weekly
Think of how many souls could be reached with the people attending Mass.

Fr. Joe speaks of love and being a member of the body of Christ, living in relationships
all in the context of the scripture.

We see salvation history and its ups and downs -
we see our calling from God
and we see our part in salvation history.

God calls - we respond.

The body of Christ can help the world to raise up to greater perfection.

What are you doing to help this coming election in the United States.

This book of Fr. Joe's can help so many people every week.

We have sent over 13,000 books out to priests and hierarchy to every priest in your state.

We have sent the books to so many priests in the United States and all Bishops.

Can't you help us.

We also send a Prayer Brochure with the Shepherds of Christ prayers praying for the priests, the Church and the world.

We pray in adoration 8 days a month with usually 6 Masses for you, your family and the priests the Church and the world.

We pray in 24 hour adoration before the Exposed Blessed Eucharist in China for all this and for you.

The China mortgage is due tomorrow

and we are struggling because of giving so much money to the Ministries.

Can anyone help us with a donation.

Also we are printing another 20,000 of Fr. Joe's books
going to all the priests in the United States.

This can enormously help for this coming election.

A weekly Priestly Newsletter used about the scriptures and everything at Sunday Mass.

Please we need your help.

If you want to know what to do to help the world and especially all active priests in the United States please help us with a donation.

We need your help today.
Thanks for your prayers and help in advance.

God Bless you and love you.

                January 16, 2016

                R. Life is very short. We should enjoy
it while we are here. Enjoy it and
                live in the moment.

From a Lenten Homily, March 24, 2000

Live in the Moment

Today’s Gospel in its story certainly points ahead to Jesus in His Passion and death. And as we read passages such as this during the Lenten season, we are reminded once again that the Church in her Liturgy of the Word gives us an opportunity to undergo a purification, an ever deepening cleansing of ourselves so that we may be a more fit instrument for receiving the great graces which are to be given to us at the time of the Resurrection memorial on Easter. And so all in all, Lent is a time of purification to prepare us for ever-greater gifts of the Lord. It’s a time of self-discipline, a time to renew our efforts to be self-disciplined in the service of the Lord. Self-discipline is an aspect of purification. And I suggest that one of the most difficult acts of self-discipline in the spiritual journey is to concentrate on the present moment. We have a very strong tendency to disregard the importance of the present moment by focusing in a wrong way on the past or in a wrong way on the future. There are proper occasions for thinking of the past and the future. For example, we have to learn from the past and we have to prepare for the future, but our great emphasis has to be upon the present. There is a Latin axiom which says, age quod agis, age quod agis, which means: do what you are doing, concentrate on the present. And of course we are familiar with that term in the history of spirituality: the sacrament of the present moment. And so the discipline of Lent certainly encourages us to include in a deeper self-discipline a greater determination to get as much as we can out of the present moment. People with a terminal illness have an opportunity as they prepare for death for increased prayer, contrition, love of God. However, some are taken very, very quickly. But for those who have the opportunity of knowing with some certainty the time of their death, I’m sure as they look back on their lives, they are saddened by the many times they did not use time and opportunities for the service of the Lord properly, and are overjoyed at those times in which they did use the present opportunity properly. A great means we have of living in the present properly is a greater focus upon our Lord. For if I have that awareness of the fact I am united with Jesus here and now, why should I be concerned so much about the future or the past? Yes, a great help in living in the present and deriving all the good we can from it for ourselves and others is an ever greater focus upon Jesus, because the more I focus upon Jesus and the more I live with Him in the present moment, the more I am satisfied with the present moment. And so let us in our Lenten activity resolve to grow in that self-discipline - which is very difficult at times - to really live in the presence with the fullness of our being as much as is possible, with the help of God’s grace. Now is the day of salvation. Now is the day of salvation.

                Song: Live This Day

                R. We are here to be more and more in
                the image of Jesus.

How have we been made more
                and more beautiful likened Jesus?

We are a work in progress –
to be transformed and made more
and more holy – more perfect in
the eyes of the Heavenly Father.

God is 3 Persons in one God.
We become more and more knowledgeable
of God and His plan for us as we
grow in this beautiful image and
                likeness of God.

God's ways are eternal. Our life
is to never end, but to go on
                eternally in heaven.

Galatians 2: 19-20

...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

                R. We are a work in progress!

We seek to be possessed more and
more by the Holy Spirit. God is love.
God is light and in Him is no
                darkness. The more God possesses
our soul - the more we love in Him.

The soul was created to love.
The union with God is so beautiful –
man loves more and more in oneness
with God and he gives this love
to God and to others on this earth.
Love is unity – Love brings
                unity to those it serves.

God gives to us eternal life if we
love and serve Him as He desires.
God wants us to know His love
eternally. It is a process of
                becoming what God intended
us to be from the time He
created us – creatures of love –
likened more and more, in love, to Him.

God created us for relationship –
God created us for unity – God
created us to be one in Him.
The Holy Spirit wants to breathe into us
what we need to know, to be
all God intends us to be.
We have to be open for this Divine
                transformation.

The soul is waiting God's favor.
The soul seeks purity and God's
                Divine touch, the soul is
                surrendering waiting the brush
                of the Divine artist working
within them – leading them to
                a wider and wider transformation
                and union in God.

We pray the Holy Spirit Novena. We pray
for the Holy Spirit to possess our soul.

We can look at our whole life
as one above looking down and
seeing how we went off the
path – taking our life away from
God and trying to run the show.
As one on the top of a mountain
looking down at the path of our
life do we see how God lifted
us and helped us many times and
some times we ignored Him, and then,
how we walked over traps and
dark paths, fell into pits and
                briar bushes when we
ignored the finger of God working
                in our lives.

Do we see God watching us now
as we struggle on the path and
many times taking our focus away
from Him and walking in the darkness
instead of basking in His light –
                all the way.

Our life is a journey to be
possessed more and more by God.
Love grows more and more in the
soul as we surrender to God and
allow Him to possess us – we
are to be growing in this
surrender of letting go to God –
in unity to love – in reaching greater
perfection in our soul in relationships
with love of God and love of others –
Of being as God intended us to be
                creatures that are transformed
in love, of growing in greater
                perfection as God intended us
                to.

We can say more and more as
                Mary said.

Luke 1: 46-55

And Mary said:

My soul proclaims
    the greatness of the Lord
and my spirit rejoices
    in God my Saviour;
because he has looked upon
    the humiliation of his servant.
Yes, from now onwards
all generations will call me blessed,
for the Almighty
has done great things for me.
Holy is his name,
and his faithful love extends age after age
    to those who fear him.
He has used the power of his arm,
he has routed the arrogant of heart.
He has pulled down princes
    from their thrones
        and raised high the lowly.
He has filled the starving with good things,
    sent the rich away empty.
He has come to the help
    of Israel his servant,
        mindful of his faithful love
—according to the promise
    he made to our ancestors—
of his mercy to Abraham
and to his descendants for ever.

                R. We have a place here in salvation
history to do the work God called us
to do. We are to learn to live as
God wants us to. We are to be
growing more and more in our
unity with God as we become
more and more people of love
and grow in the image and
                likeness of God.

We see God and the beauty He
gives to us. The beautiful baby
and how man is to be
a creature of love. How those
taking care of that baby are to
teach them about God and love and
                relationship –

We see the sun and we can think
about light – how powerful the
light is – beyond anything we
                can imagine.

We are given a sharing in
Divine life in baptism and our
                knowing and loving capacity is
elevated so we can know and
                love on a supernatural
                level –

Why would we try to control things
in our own image and likeness, with
                all our imperfections and
                tainted human nature –

From the Holy Spirit Novena we say –

Romans 8:14-17

All who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God; for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!' The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God. And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that we share his suffering, so as to share his glory.

Romans 8:5-9

Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires; those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things. And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life and peace, because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God's Law, and indeed it cannot, and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God. You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made a home in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

1 John 4:12-16

No one has ever seen God, but as long as we love one another God remains in us and his love comes to its perfection in us. This is the proof that we remain in him and he in us, that he has given us a share in his Spirit. We ourselves have seen and testify that the Father sent his Son as Saviour of the world. Anyone who acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him and he in God. We have recognised for ourselves, and put our faith in, the love God has for us. God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him.

1 John 4:17-21

Love comes to its perfection in us when we can face the Day of Judgement fearlessly, because even in this world we have become as he is. In love there is no room for fear, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear implies punishment and no one who is afraid has come to perfection in love. Let us love, then, because he first loved us. Anyone who says 'I love God' and hates his brother, is a liar, since whoever does not love the brother whom he can see cannot love God whom he has not seen. Indeed this is the commandment we have received from him, that whoever loves God, must also love his brother.

1 John 4:7-11

My dear friends, let us love one another, since love is from God and everyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. Whoever fails to love does not know God, because God is love. This is the revelation of God's love for us, that God sent his only Son into the world that we might have life through him. Love consists in this: it is not we who loved God, but God loved us and sent his Son to expiate our sins. My dear friends, if God loved us so much, we too should love one another.
