Given October 14, 2009 - Morning

                R. One shoe on, one shoe off
break old habits that are not good
every time you think — one shoe off
                think —

I am a new creation with God's grace
                I control my thoughts
one shoe on, one shoe off —
                choose to be holy —

God wants us offering a holy sacrifice
                    today

                Pray to change
                To have peace

To be one with God in all we do
one shoe off reminds us to break
                    negative thinking and choose life

                Pray with me today
To be blessed — all of us by Jesus
                    To do God's will
Not be in rivalry with God's will

                Pray to be holy
                One with God
                Pray in love

Ask to be spread with the blood of Jesus on ALL of us
                Consecrate all our hearts
                Cast the devil out

Pray for the Holy Spirit like we did yesterday
                Pray to be blessed

Obey God — first and foremost
                Do His will

                Be married to Jesus
                Have peace

                Pray
                Today is Fr. Joe's birthday

                Pray hard
                Pray for an urgent intention

                Pray for Fr. Joe's book
                Pray for Fr. Mike

                Pray for all our needs

                Be one with Jesus
Break old habits — pray for grace
                Be partners with Jesus

                Don't look for excitement
                Don't have false expectations

                Be partners with Christ
                He is the bridegroom
                We are His bride

                Love
                Be a light
Do all things for His honor and glory

                Let go
Live our Shepherds of Christ vocation —
Our job God wants us to do —
                    do it as He wants

                He is the husband

                Pray for an urgent intention
                Pray for building payment
                Pray for the mailing

                Serve God in all things
Love God in loving others as God wants

Don't use others for our own vain glory

Our vocation is God's Plan for us
to win our eternal salvation —
                    Love it

                God knows our hearts
                Beg for purity of heart
                Be a light —

We are married to God —
                Give Him what He wants

                Pray to love —
one shoe on — one shoe off
Beg the Holy Spirit to fill us  — to
see what we need to change —
                    old "ground-in" habits that
                    hurt ourselves and others
                    and drive us from God

All our energies and activities are
to be directed to the honor and
                glory of God.

                    So we want affection, power
acceptance we lie to get it —
tell half truths — this is wrong —

                    Mary says
"Give Jesus what He wants" —

Be a handmaid of the Lord
Do not do it for vain glory —

                Bearing false witness is against
                    the commandments of God —

                Doing actions which create
confusion so we can control things
                    for our own dominance for
                    dominance sake are wrong —

                    God has a purpose
God wants us to serve Him

                A person wishing control for
                    control sake acts imperfectly
their goal is control — for
                    control sake —
                    an impure motive —

                While a person acting purely
wants the will of God —
                    their actions are for
His glory — not our vain glory —

A person who is envious and
acts because of that has an
                    impure goal —

                They wish to inflect misfortune
                    on another —

                While the person acting purely
                    seeks God's will and wants
to give Him what He desires

There is a chain reaction of deeds
that are done out of impurities
We saw the writing of Samuel
                    in last night's message —

2 Samuel 11: 1 - 12: 7

At the turn of the year, at the time when kings go campaigning, David sent Joab and with him his guards and all Israel. They massacred the Ammonites and laid siege to Rabbah-of-the-Ammonites. David, however, remained in Jerusalem. It happened towards evening when David had got up from resting and was strolling on the palace roof, that from the roof he saw a woman bathing; the woman was very beautiful. David made enquiries about this woman and was told, 'Why, that is Bathsheba daughter of Eliam and wife of Uriah the Hittite.' David then sent messengers to fetch her. She came to him, and he lay with her, just after she had purified herself from her period. She then went home again. The woman conceived and sent word to David, 'I am pregnant.'

David then sent word to Joab, 'Send me Uriah the Hittite,' whereupon Joab sent Uriah to David. When Uriah reached him, David asked how Joab was and how the army was and how the war was going.David then said to Uriah, 'Go down to your house and wash your feet.' Uriah left the palace and was followed by a present from the king's table. Uriah, however, slept at the palace gate with all his master's bodyguard and did not go down to his house.

This was reported to David; 'Uriah', they said 'has not gone down to his house.' So David asked Uriah, 'Haven't you just arrived from the journey? Why didn't you go down to your house?' To which Uriah replied, 'The ark, Israel and Judah are lodged in huts; my master Joab and my lord's guards are camping in the open. Am I to go to my house, then, and eat and drink and sleep with my wife? As Yahweh lives, and as you yourself live, I shall do no such thing!' David then said to Uriah, 'Stay on here today; tomorrow I shall send you off.' So Uriah stayed that day in Jerusalem. The next day, David invited him to eat and drink in his presence and made him drunk. In the evening, Uriah went out and bedded down with his master's bodyguard, but did not go down to his house.

Next morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it by Uriah. In the letter he wrote, 'Put Uriah out in front where the fighting is fiercest and then fall back, so that he gets wounded and killed.' Joab, then besieging the city, stationed Uriah at a point where he knew that there would be tough fighters. The people of the city sallied out and engaged Joab; there were casualties in the army, among David's guards, and Uriah the Hittite was killed as well.

Joab sent David a full account of the battle. To the messenger he gave this order: 'When you have finished telling the king all about the battle, if the king's anger is aroused and he says, "Why did you go near the town to give battle? Didn't you know that they would shoot from the ramparts? Who killed Abimelech son of Jerubbaal? Wasn't it a woman who dropped a millstone on him from the ramparts, causing his death at Thebez? Why did you go near the ramparts?" you are to say, "Your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead too." '

So the messenger set off and, on his arrival, told David everything that Joab had instructed him to say. David flew into a rage with Joab and said to the messenger, 'Why did you go near the ramparts? Who killed Abimelech son of Jerubbaal? Wasn't it a woman who dropped a millstone on him from the ramparts, causing his death at Thebez? Why did you go near the ramparts?' The messenger replied to David, 'Their men had won an initial advantage and then came out to engage us in the open. We then drove them back into the gateway, but the archers shot at your retainers from the ramparts; some of the king's retainers lost their lives, and your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead too.'

David then said to the messenger, 'Say this to Joab, "Do not take the matter to heart; the sword devours now one and now another. Attack the town in greater force and destroy it." That will encourage him.' When Uriah's wife heard that her husband Uriah was dead, she mourned for her husband. When the period of mourning was over, David sent to have her brought to his house; she became his wife and bore him a son. But what David had done displeased Yahweh.

David is rebuked by Nathan
His repentance

Yahweh sent the prophet Nathan to David. He came to him and said:

In the same town were two men,
    one rich, the other poor.
The rich man had flocks and herds
    in great abundance;
the poor man had nothing but a ewe lamb,
    only a single little one
        which he had bought.
He fostered it and it grew up with him
        and his children,
eating his bread, drinking from his cup,
    sleeping in his arms;
it was like a daughter to him.
When a traveller came to stay,
        the rich man
    would not take anything
from his own flock or herd
    to provide for the wayfarer
        who had come to him.
Instead, he stole the poor man's lamb
and prepared that for his guest.

David flew into a great rage with the man. 'As Yahweh lives,' he said to Nathan 'the man who did this deserves to die. For doing such a thing and for having shown no pity, he shall make fourfold restitution for the lamb.'

Nathan then said to David, 'You are the man! Yahweh, God of Israel, says this, 'I anointed you king of Israel, I saved you from Saul's clutches,

                Diamonds are more precious if
they have almost no flaws —

Our souls, we hope, will go to heaven
                    one day —

We teach ourselves how we want
to act or we accept some
                    style of interaction —

When I walk into a room of
                    people there are many ways
                    I can act —

                Habits are formed like knowing
how I tie my shoes —
                    I have a certain style —

Someone else may do it another way —
We may not see "eye-to-eye" on
                    tying our shoes —

A woman was making a ham and
                    cut off the ends —
                    her husband inquired why
did she always do that —

She said she didn't know —

In looking back, she saw her
                    grandmother had a little
                    pan and the normal hams
never fit the pan she had —
so she cut off the ends —

I made lots of deviled eggs — I
                    always cut them like this

I liked it that way —

My sister would put paprika on
hers — I did not like it
                    that way

If she came to my house she would
                    get the paprika and put
                    it on —

                My children wouldn't eat the
                    eggs then —

                Some people cut eggs for
                    deviled eggs like
                    this

the round way

Some people pick up after themselves and
                    organize everything —

Others never put things back and
                    lack order —

                Habits —

One may say dad was always angry
                    and treated my mom not
                    so nice —

Other may say — my dad always
taught us - how he loved
                    mom and we were to
                    respect her

One person may have a shy
                    personality by nature —
                    another not so shy, but
                    out going —

Well I am here to talk about
                    habits done out of jealousy,
                    anger, envy, because of
                    pride, greed, control,
                    lust, gluttony, sloth —

                We have tendencies toward these
                    because Adam and Eve our
                    first parents sinned

What habits are done that are
                    against God's will

That if we were married our
                    spouse may have left —
                    because of our bad, intolerable,
selfish habits we may have —

How can you do those things
                    in this
                    community
                    with Jesus as the spouse

                Be accountable —
When you are not acting nice toward
                    God and others

                Stop it —
                    You have a free will
                    God is love —
Selfishness, bad habits are not loving

    Give God

What He wants —

                Don't look for selfish

                    promotion —

                    Be open to let God
                        mold your heart

                        His way

                        IN LOVE

                Pray to be healed of
                    old wounds

                One shoe on
                    one shoe off

                Pray the Movement is blessed

                    Be obedient

Serve God as He wants in Love

October 14, 2009 - Late afternoon

Think of the pain of Mary to watch
her Son's suffering then she appears
to me today and ask us to help the souls
of her children and we give into lustful
                behavior, disobedience, control, gluttony,
anger when souls could be reached and
they are not because of the sinfulness
of those who could reach them.

Jesus who is so worthy of all our
                love — Oh Jesus, I love Thee — I
am sorry for my sins and the sins of
                the human race —

Quote to St. Margaret Mary — Jesus says:

"Behold the heart which has so much
loved men that it has spared nothing,
                    even exhausting and consuming itself
                    in testimony of its love.
Instead of gratitude I receive from
                    most only indifference, by
                    irreverence and sacrilege and
                    the coldness and scorn that
men have for Me in the
                    sacrament of love."

Promises of Our Lord to those devoted to His Sacred Heart as given to St. Margaret Mary:

    1. I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.
    2. I will establish peace in their homes.

    3. I will comfort them in all their afflictions.
    4. I will be their refuge during life and above all in death.
    5. I will bestow a large blessing on all their undertakings.
    6. Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.
    7. Tepid souls shall grow fervent.
    8. Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.
    9. I will bless every place where a picture of My Heart shall be set up and honored.
    10. I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.
    11. Those who promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.
    12. I promise you in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the
first Friday in nine consecutive months the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving
their sacraments; My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

  1. Song: At the Cross Her Station Keeping

John 19: 25-27

Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. Seeing his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing near her, Jesus said to his mother, ‘Woman, this is your son.’ Then to the disciple he said, ‘This is your mother.’ And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

Jesus' arms were stretched and nails
were pounded into His hands and feet —
He was nailed to the cross

August 23, 1993

On His Passion

Jesus: My dear child,
I was condemned to death, death on a cross. They gave Me a big cross and made Me carry it. They stood around and glared at Me. It weighed on My shoulder and I pulled at it until it finally moved. Every step was almost impossible as I dragged it, weighing so heavily on My shoulders.

My shoulder felt as if the bones inside would crack and the cross would fall through to the ground. I couldn’t drag it any more. I tried, I fell. I fell and its weight fell on Me. A guard hit Me with something sharp. It really hurt because he wanted Me to move, and fast! People were watching — on with the show! How dare I fall in the middle of the show! He hit Me again and the blow really stung Me. I got up because it hurt so badly. I tried to walk on.

My Mother was in the crowd. She looked at Me and her face looked red and hurt. Tears rolled down her cheeks like rain and as her eyes met Mine, I was hurt so by her sorrow! She was always by My side, silent and loving. She was My mother of love! She is always there next to you when you suffer.

I fell again and he (the guard) really hit Me. It (the cross) was so heavy that he and I together could barely move it. It seemed as I walked, heavier with the sins of the world heaped on it. My hands were bleeding. Blood ran from the wounds of My thorns and My head throbbed, seeming to make the wounds in My head bleed even more. Some of the Blood was dried, some of it running all over My Body. I had so many cuts and bruises — and people watched and laughed!

I am Jesus, Son of the Living God, and they laughed and mimicked Me! Oh, such hardened hearts! How vile can men’s heart become? The devil’s grip is paralyzing and crippling.

The walk was so long up a hill and over rocks — the cross had to be lifted over the rocks. My Body was bleeding so badly! My heart was pounding. I knew that the salvation of all men depended on My love. Therefore, I went through such agony.

I thought of My intense love for you — that many would go to heaven because of My suffering — and I continued to the top of the hill. At the top they laid Me on the cross and with a big hammer nailed My hands to it. It was the worst (suffering) yet. My hands were nailed with big nails and the big hammer. Oh, it was unbelievable! Then, as if that weren’t enough, with a big nail they nailed through both feet.

Then they lifted the cross and banged it into (a hole in) the ground. My shoulders ached from how I hung. My head bobbed and My neck ached and they laughed and said, "Now save Yourself." I hurt so much! I suffered this way for hours — which seemed like forever — and they glared at Me and laughed! My Mother watched in such agony.

For love of you, to My death I gave you My Body. My child, I shed My Blood and gave you My life that you might be with Me forever in heaven — not for a day, a month or a year, but forever with Me in heaven.

I am the true Bread come down from heaven. He who eats My Flesh will have life forever. For the drink I give you is My Blood and food you eat is My Body. Who would lay down his life for a friend? I did, for you. I love you this much, child. Forget about those who reject you. You have My life that I gave you and I give you life eternal.

I am the One true God. I am the Light of life. He who abides in Me will have life eternal, for the drink I give is My Blood and the food I give is My Body. Drink and eat and have everlasting life.

My child, that is all you need to know. Love one another and be good that you may enter into My kingdom.

end of August 23, 1993

They raised the cross — they let Jesus die,
Jesus could have stopped this —
                Jesus suffered for our sins

Jesus hung on the cross for 3 agonizing
hours — Jesus let us kiss You — Our beloved
                who died for us

Excerpt from February 13, 1997 Rosary

  1. R. I remember sitting in this chapel and I looked at the window where Jesus was being whipped at the pillar and I said to Jesus, I said, "Jesus, what were You thinking when You were being beaten?" And He said, "I was thinking of you sitting in the pew and telling Me of your love." For Jesus suffered such bitter persecution, such bitter wounds, but the love that we give to Him was sweetness during His bitter Passion. He was beaten, His flesh was torn, His Heart was broken, for He knew all the souls that would neglect Him, hate Him, and would be condemned to hell despite all that He did. But He also knew the great love that we give to Him and it was such sweetness to His Heart as He suffered during His Passion.

Given October 15, 2009

We have appetites — appetites for food, for pleasure,
for things we must control — God puts into our lives
this special way to learn discipline of our will. We cannot
eat chocolate cake all day if we desire it — We intellectually
know that our bodies need nutrients to live — eating too
much of something — too little can hurt our health — we
must balance things — we learn — we teach ourselves —
too much candy is not good — Disciplining the will — being balanced
is built into our needs to live in this life. A person cannot
overdose on wine, alcohol, beer — smoking hurts our health —
a person addicted by cigarettes, alcohol has bad habits also
things going on in their system that makes them want to drink,
                smoke etc. —

Bad habits need to be broken — In the spiritual life a person
can try to be in control, over others, doing their own will —
being on the top because they don't want anyone telling them
what to do — Order — God wants order according to His Plan —

God has the answers — He created us — He gave us the talents —
He made men to be able to reproduce, plants and animals,
the fish of the sea to reproduce — God keeps us in existence — it
is not wise to ignore God or to deny His existence so we can
do what we want — or the other way, some do — is say their
truth is 'relative' — dependent on what they choose to believe —

God has a plan — God gave us commandments — throughout
salvation history — man rebels because of his wounded human
nature and man has become corrupt as at the time of Noah —
Jesus came and He elevates our human nature through baptism —
we receive a sharing in His life —

But we still have these tendencies toward jealousy,
gluttony, greediness, anger, lust, slothfulness, envy,
seeking dominance for dominance sake —

These tendencies we are to keep in check and be pure
of heart and obey God — not rebel — the angels rebelled they
said — "we won't serve God"

Societies disobey God — the abortion is accepted by the
law — We need to pray the prayers God told Fr. Carter

and make reparation to God for our sins and
the sins of the human race —

Jesus has called the retreats in China — 4 days and with
the Mass (the sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made
present) to pray and sing and praise and thank God and
tell Him we are sorry for our sins and the sins of the human
                race —

God has given us the building in Clearwater — where
Mary's image appeared and told us to pray 4 days monthly
there in reparation and to offer these prayers as an offering
for the sins in our country — the United States and the world —

This is a message Jesus gave me — to end the Florida retreat
with the 5th and the China retreat with the 13th —

Man can rebel against God and say "you aren't telling
me nothing, and if you correct my lude ways I will act in
revenge because you have the audacity to tell ME anything"

What business works without order and rules — Why
would we expect the Divine Almighty God to create us
from nothing for His honor and glory and for loving Him
and others — creating us — giving us such dignity to
reproduce — to be created in the image and likeness of God
and then this God — who ordered all things
perfectly — does not want this rebellion and disorder because
of our wounded tendencies because of the sin of Adam and Eve —

Our human nature is wounded — grace helps us
to grow more and more in the image and likeness of God as
God intended — Through the pierced Heart of Christ the
                Church was born —

Oh God — I want to do your 8 days of prayer and thank you
for allowing us to have the Mass with the priest on
the many days we have it. Oh God — I thank you for the
privilege of the Eucharist and having it exposed in China, Indiana.
We are called by God to pray nightly at 6:20 — all over the
world — God can shower His grace if we do this — Mary
appeared to me every day for 14 months 1994 and 1995 when we
came to pray at 6:30 — Then here is how she appeared
in Florida for everybody to pray on the 5ths

The people God called to pray with me can say "yes"
or "no" — we all have a free will — It is on the radio.
No business lasts when the people under the boss says
"Don't give me directions and I can do what I want"
God gave us the commandments — God gives us gifts —
all these gifts are from God and we abuse the gifts —
I saw Mary appear October 5th and I saw Jesus appear October 5th —
the messages they gave 13, 14 years ago on October 5th are in
the Apostles Manual. I am a messenger and the Shepherds of Christ
is to help bring to completion the mission Mary began
at Fatima to help bring this era of peace —

Satan works in the memory — satan presses down in
fallacious reasoning, but when we live single lives
saying "nobody tells me nothing" we are going against
the Plan of God — God meant us to walk hand-in-hand —
God gave us rules and commandments — God gave
men and women each other in the sacrament of marriage
to raise a family and help each other grow in greater
perfection — dying to those ways that
are bad, selfish, controlling habits to be as God
intends us to be — a unit serving Him — working in
order — giving us the Church — the body of Christ — Jesus
                is the head —

We just don't want to obey God — when we sin and disobey
His rules — We want what we want and we do it —
A religious takes a promise to obey God and be celibate —
they can say "I don't want to and I will do my will and
scandalize others" Jesus has given us these prayers to
pray for the priests, the Church and the world, to help them
be strong in this willful world of disobedience —

Jesus gave Fr. Carter these messages

Words of Jesus to Members of
Shepherds of Christ Associates:

"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.

"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.

"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."

- Message from Jesus to Father Edward J. Carter, S.J., Founder, as given on July 31, 1994,
feast of Saint Ignatius Loyola, Founder of the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits)

Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus

My dear fellow Associate Members,

Jesus is calling special apostles to join a new division of the Shepherds of Christ Movement. Here is a message from Jesus given to Father Carter:

My beloved priest-companion, I am requesting that a new prayer movement be started under the direction of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. I am asking for volunteers who are willing to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for one hour, twice-weekly. Members of the Shepherds of Christ prayer chapters, as well as others, are to be invited to join this movement.

These apostles are to pray for the intentions I am giving you. For part of the hour they are to use the prayers of the Shepherds of Christ Associates Handbook. They may spend the rest of the hour as they so choose.

I will use this new prayer movement within My Shepherds of Christ Ministries in a powerful way to help in the renewal of My Church and the world. I will give great graces to those who join this movement. The name, Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, is to be given to this movement.

I am inviting My beloved Rita Ring to be coordinator for this activity.

I pour out the great love of My Sacred Heart to all. I am Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.

This is indeed a special calling for us to unite in one heart with His Eucharistic Heart and pray for the following intentions:

    1. For the spread of the devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary culminating in the reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.
    2. For the Pope.
    3. For all bishops of the world.
    4. For all priests.
    5. For all sisters and brothers in the religious life.
    6. For all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, and for the spread of this movement to the world.
    7. For all members of the Catholic Church.
    8. For all members of the human family.
    9. For all souls in purgatory.

When the world was corrupt, as at the time of Noah,
God flooded the earth for it was not loving to let
                this corruption go on —

God gave us our Lady's image — Our Lady of Clearwater,
                a sign of the rainbow

Genesis 9: 8-15

God spoke as follows to Noah and his sons, ‘I am now establishing my covenant with you and with your descendants to come, and with every living creature that was with you: birds, cattle and every wild animal with you; everything that came out of the ark, every living thing on earth. And I shall maintain my covenant with you: that never again shall all living things be destroyed by the waters of a flood, nor shall there ever again be a flood to devastate the earth.’

‘And this’, God said, ‘is the sign of the covenant which I now make between myself and you and every living creature with you for all ages to come: I now set my bow in the clouds and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I gather the clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds, I shall recall the covenant between myself and you and every living creature, in a word all living things, and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all living things.

                    God gives us the Church
                    God gives us the priest
God gives us Mary — Mother of the Church
                                                — Our spiritual Mother

Jesus: I give you the Movement of God the Father to help
to bring this era of peace and love — the Reign of My
Sacred Heart and Triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart —

God the Father: The more signs I give you the more willful
                    some become —
When you sin and hurt others — think of the
people — the amount of people — you have offended
                    with your selfish sins —

To you little men, much has been given and you
                    abuse My gifts

Where are you going child with your cloak
and hammer — a saint wears a rose of purity —
a gown of love — obedience to their God —
                obedience to authority —
child of heaven — a wreath is worn by saints
sacrificing their lives in purity for others,
                    for the Church —

You with your disobedience and impure ways
make a mockery of what I have asked for here —
You wear a cloth to send My people away —
Oh that you knew the purity of the saints
                    being wed to Jesus

Let your gift of purity be known by the
                    faithfulness of your vocation —
What makes you great in the eyes of
God is obedience to God and living
as the way I, the Father, wish
                        you to be

Rebellion — rivalry to My will — lying to live in
                    your sinful ways —

The devil is the great deceiver
                The devil is a liar
The devil is sneaky — two faces

Luring you into evil and you in your
willful ways CONSENT to the devil's
                    evil design

                    Souls are at stake

Live to serve Me, God the Father —
My Son died for your sins —

Be not pompous thinking God doesn't
                        know your evil hearts
I read your heart and know your ways —

                Live to please your God
                Live a virtuous life

Thank God for counsel to change to be
                    more holy

You hold onto your bad sinful habits like trophies
                    and you will soon have
                    museums

Jesus: How much does it cost you to tell Me your love —
How much I want to bless your holy work — when
you choose to work your own plan and
smite Me and My Father like those who disobeyed
the prophets of old and continued their sinful ways

Give Me your heart — now for the birthday
of the King Advances and Fr. Joe's book is My gift
                        to My priests —

Give me your heart and affection
                    Be faithful to your call

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994

                God the Father:
Pray for forgiveness of your sins
Beg for forgiveness and say you are sorry for
your unfaithfulness to God and to My Plan

Act of Contrition

"O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of Hell, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life. Amen."

                R. God allows us to suffer — God outpours His grace
when we suffer and love Him and offer it up as a prayer
in the suffering we must endure

                  Saint Margaret Mary

"The Heart of Jesus is closer to you when you
suffer than when you are full of joy."

                Saint Francis Xavier Cabrini

"The Sacred Heart of Jesus is an abyss of love,
a sure refuge, where we can take shelter in
every difficulty, and we can be sure He thinks
more about us than we think about our own
                affairs."

Saint Therese — Her last words

"To suffer is not enough: the evil one and the world
have their martyrs. We must suffer and carry our
cross IN THE Footsteps of CHRIST.

Take advantage of the little sufferings even more
than of great ones. God considers not so much
WHAT we suffer as HOW we suffer.
Turn everything to profit as the grocer does in his shop.

This glory of one who knows how to suffer is so
great that Heaven, angels and men, and even God
Himself, gaze on him with joy as a most glorious
sight. And if the saints in Heaven desired anything,
it would be to return to earth so as to bear
                some crosses.

Who could ever understand fully that eternal
weight of glory which a single moment spent
in cheerfully carrying a cross obtains for us?
Who could understand the glory gained in Heaven
                lifetime, of crosses and suffering."

Words of Saint Teresa of Avila

"To encourage ourselves to endure patiently
the labors and afflictions of this life, it is well
to reflect that they are much less than the pains of
                purgatory.

After all, God gives no more than what can be
endured; and His Majesty gives patience first.

I would always choose the path of suffering,
if only to imitate Our Lord Jesus Christ, if there
                were no other gain.

He who shall courageously present himself
to drink our Savior's chalice will find that a
certain divine strength will never fail him
                in persecutions.

I would willingly endure alone all the sufferings
of this world to be raised a degree higher in Heaven
and to possess the smallest increase of the
                knowledge of God's greatness.

In order to bear our afflictions with patience
it is very useful to read the lives of the saints
who endured great torments for Jesus Christ."

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

Excerpt from The Spirituality of Fatima

by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

July 13, 1917

"During her appearance in July, Our Lady, in answer to Lucia's plea, promised that in October she would work a great miracle so that all might believe and know who she was. Again, the Mother of God told the children to sacrifice themselves for sinners and to say many times, especially when making a sacrifice, this prayer: "O my Jesus, I offer this for love of Thee, for the conversion of poor sinners, and in reparation for all the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary." (11)

"During this same July apparition, Mary showed the three children a vision of Hell. She told them:

"You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish, in the world, devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If people do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.

"The war (World War I, then raging) is going to end. But if people do not stop offending God, another and worse one will begin in the reign of Pius XI. When you shall see a night illuminated by an unknown light [January 2, 1938], know that this is the great sign that God gives you that He is going to punish the world for its many crimes by means of war, hunger, and persecution of the Church and the Holy Father. (12)

"To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of Reparation on the five first Saturdays. If my requests are granted, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not, she will scatter her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be destroyed....

"But in the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, Russia will be converted, and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world." (13)

Matthew 5: 11-12

Blessed are you when people abuse you and persecute you and
speak all kinds of calumny against you falsely on my account.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven; this
is how they persecuted the prophets before you.

Matthew 16: 24

Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross and follow me.

1 Peter 2: 20-21

but what glory is there in putting up with a beating after you have done something wrong? The merit in the sight of God is in putting up with it patiently when you are punished for doing your duty.

This, in fact, is what you were called to do, because Christ suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in his steps.

St. Peter

1 Peter 4: 13

but in so far as you share in the sufferings of Christ, be glad, so that you may enjoy a much greater gladness when his glory is revealed.

1 Peter 5: 1

I urge the elders among you, as a fellow-elder myself and a witness to the sufferings of Christ, and as one who is to have a share in the glory that is to be revealed:

Hebrews 12: 1-3

With so many witnesses in a great cloud all around us, we too, then, should throw off everything that weighs us down and the sin that clings so closely, and with perseverance keep running in the race which lies ahead of us. Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, who leads us in our faith and brings it to perfection: for the sake of the joy which lay ahead of him, he endured the cross, disregarding the shame of it, and has taken his seat at the right of God’s throne. Think of the way he persevered against such opposition from sinners and then you will not lose heart and come to grief.

THE SEVEN SORROWS OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
AT A SHEPHERDS OF CHRIST MEETING

February 22, 1995

1. The Prophecy of Simeon
Mary, Joseph and the child Jesus went to the temple. Simeon, the prophet, inspired by the Holy Spirit, met them and told Joseph and Mary of the great sufferings of Jesus and Mary. He told Mary that a sword would pierce her heart. From that point on, Mary ever remembered the prophecy of Simeon whenever she beheld her child. When she looked at His little body, even as an infant, she knew He would suffer. Every time she clothed Him and watched Him at play, her heart was torn in her chest as she knew what He would suffer. And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!

2. The Flight into Egypt
Joseph was told by the angel to flee. Joseph, Mary and the child Jesus had to flee because of what might happen to Jesus. They had to pack for a long stay. The child Jesus was so small! They left on their journey, hearts full of fear, trying to protect Jesus. They were forced to flee into Egypt.

3. Jesus Is Lost, In the Temple
Imagine the sufferings in Mary's heart when she realized the child Jesus was not with them. Think of how it would be to lose your child and not know where he was or if anything happened to him. With sorrow in their hearts, Mary and Joseph returned to Jerusalem to look for the child Jesus. And a sword, too, shall pierce your heart, O Mary!

4. Jesus Carries His Cross
Song: See the eyes that look at Mary, her tender infant child. See the child's Heart beat so tenderly, the Savior of the world!
See the eyes of Jesus and Mary as they met on Calvary. Mary's Heart knew Jesus' Heart so well! From the first moment of conception and throughout His life, Mary was so connected with Jesus and now she peered into His eyes. The crown of thorns adorned His Head! Blood ran down His face! A heavy cross on His back! Wounded, His whole body covered with bleeding wounds! And her whole life flashed before her, the life that she had spent with Jesus. This was the beloved child that she had held in her arms when Simeon told Mary that 'a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!'

5. Jesus Dies on the Cross
Mary stood under Jesus' cross as He was put to death. The child that she had held in her arms as Simeon prophesied, And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary! Now Jesus is dead on the cross! He gave His flesh, He gave His blood so that we might be with Him forever in heaven. He held not back. He gave His all. He calls out to us this day to see through the eyes of His mother as she appears and calls out with a Heart of great love, "Return to the love of my Son! He is with you this day. He remains with you, no less present than the day that He hung on the cross, in the Eucharist. He longs for you to come and be with Him. He is in your brother. How can you not love your brother when Jesus died for your brother?"

Her Heart was pierced with a sword. His Heart was pierced with a lance. What came forth was blood and water, the sacramental life of the church. He lives with us this day in the Church. He gives to us His sacraments, the source of His life! He gives to us the Sacrament of Penance whereby any sin that we commit can be taken away through the priest. He wants us to be so close to Him! He gives us everything to be close to Him. But we see with such limited vision only those things that are right before our face, when the true reality is that which we don't see with our eyes, the reality of the invisible divinity of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in the consecrated Host! This is reality! This is our life! This is our power! This is God! And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!

6. Jesus Is Taken Down from the Cross
If we ever doubted for one second that we were loved, we could visualize the picture of Mary as she sat beneath the cross with the lifeless, battered, bruised and bloodied body of her Son in her arms, the same child that she held when Simeon prophesied her suffering. He gave His last breath. He gave the last beat of His Heart. He gave His all! This is the way He complied with the Will of the Father. He came to show us the way. He died in perfect peace. To His death He was in peace because He knew the Father's love. The Father loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son for love of us! The Spirit descended upon the Virgin Mary and the Word was made flesh! The love of the Two Hearts! Such immense love beating for us!

In all love there is suffering. Her Heart was pierced with a sword. His Heart was pierced with a lance. And a sword, too, shall pierce your Heart, O Mary!

7. Jesus Is Locked in the Tomb
And now Jesus, His body lifeless, is locked in a tomb! What cold reality for Mary to realize that His body is now gone! A stone separated her from her Son!

He gave His last breath! He gave the last beat of His Heart for love of each one of us! And she comes to us this day with her sweet, beautiful voice and she asks us to go to her Son and love Him! How can we refuse Jesus who spread His arms and gave His life for each and every one of us? How can we not trust Him when He loved us so much that He allowed them to tear His flesh, to crown Him with piercing thorns and, lastly, to hang Him on a cross? He truly gave His life for us! He, truly God, is with us this day, the same as the day He died on the cross, in the tabernacle! And we take it so lightly! Death has no power over Him! Locked in the tomb for three days, He rose triumphant on the third day as He had foretold. He comes to give us life. He gives us the sacrament of Baptism that initiates us into His life, that makes us children of God and heirs of heaven if we remain in the state of grace. He asks two things: love of God and love of one another! He came to show us the way and His way is love. To His death on the cross He loved each one of us! He calls out to each one of us here today to be His soldiers, to march on a world that has forgotten God, that has forgotten what it is like to love! It is a battle to live in this world. But the battle is won with hearts that are filled with His love, empowered by the grace and might that He pours out in the Eucharist. He calls out for us to come to the Eucharist and to the tabernacle and be fed with His very flesh and blood. To feed on Divine Life, the greatest nourishment, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God! This is the love He gives. This is the love He asks us to share.

Stations of the Cross

 February 22, 1995

1. Jesus Is Condemned to Death

Jesus:  My dear child, with angry hearts and hatred on their faces, they poked at Me and condemned Me to death. I stood so silent, My hands tied, in perfect peace, because I knew the Father's love. I knew the Father's Will. You too will stand your trials in perfect peace, the more you realize the immense love the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have for you. Pray to the Spirit to transform you more and more into My image and, through this transformation, you will be led ever closer to the Father. Oh, how I love you!

2. They Give Jesus the Cross

Jesus:  They gave Me a heavy cross, laden with the sins of the world. They placed it on My shoulder. It was so heavy I felt as if My shoulder would break. I ask you to carry little crosses, to experience little pains. I could not remove this cross from My shoulder. The weight was unbearable. It is through My suffering and death that you receive new life. It is through your sufferings this day that you will grow in your life with Me. Oh, child, I loved you so much that I took up the cross of salvation. I love you. Please realize that I am talking to you here. To My death I loved you. Oh, how I love you!

3. Jesus Falls the First Time

Jesus: The cross was so heavy I could hardly walk. I held on to My cross for greatest love of you and in compliance with the Will of My Father. It became so hard to walk! The cross was so heavy! I fell. I fell and the cross fell on Me. They poked at Me, they struck Me, they demanded I get up. The pain from the instruments they used to poke Me and strike Me was so great! I somehow managed to get up.

When you fall under the weight of your cross, come to My Eucharistic Heart. I am no less present in the tabernacle and in the Eucharist than on the day I carried My cross. I wait with the same love that I had for you when I carried this cross and suffered such agony. Oh, how I love you!

4. Jesus and Mary Meet

Jesus: I saw the face of My beautiful Mother. She was weak, her face reddened and full of tears. I saw her tender heart, her love, her anguish, her pain. I saw My dear Mother Mary. My Heart was comforted by the sight of her, but torn by her suffering.

Mary: As I looked into the eyes of my beloved Son, I saw His love. His head, bleeding and wounded. His body weak. His clothes covered with blood. I looked into His eyes and I saw His love for you. I call out to you today. I appear today with a face full of anguish and tears. I appear to call you back to the love of my Son. See through my eyes, as I peer into His eyes, the love He has for you this day to give of Himself for you. Oh, He loves you so much, my little children. See through my eyes the love of my Son. Oh, how He loves you!

5. Simon of Cyrene Is Forced to Help Jesus Carry His Cross

Jesus: The cross was so heavy I could not move. My persecutors became angry and forced a man to help Me. The cross was so heavy the two of us could barely move it. How is your cross today? Does it seem so heavy you cannot go on? I am forever watching you. When you are suffering the greatest, I am very close to you. It is in immense suffering that you realize My great love for you. Pray for grace to do always the Father's Will. Pray for grace to grow in your knowledge and love of Me.

6. Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus

Jesus: My face was covered with blood. From the crowd Veronica came forward with a cloth to wipe My face. On the cloth I gave to you an imprint of My bloodied face. This, My children, remains with you this day as a sign of My immense love for you. But more than any cloth, look beyond the visible consecrated host. I, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, remain with you, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, in the Eucharist this day, waiting and longing to be with you. Oh, how I love you!

7. Jesus Falls the Second Time

Jesus: Oh, dear ones, the road became harder and harder to walk. The cross was becoming heavier, My body weaker and weaker. My shoulders and arms hurt so much! My head throbbed as I walked. The blood came from My body, from My head to My feet. I was covered with open wounds. I could not go any farther. I stumbled and fell. Again they poked at Me, only harder, and with such hatred they kicked Me. Such vileness in the hearts of men! My greatest agony was not the agonies of My body, but the agonies of My heart for the love I have for all My precious souls. I loved them so dearly. I loved those who persecuted Me. Oh, how I love you!

8. Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem

Jesus: The women came to Me with their children, their tender hearts crying and wanting to comfort Me. I saw their love, their care. I saw the coldness of men's hearts for all time, the hatred, the anger, the sins, all the souls that, despite all of My sufferings and death, would be condemned to eternal damnation. I told the women to weep not for Me, but for themselves and their children. My greatest agonies were the agonies of My Most Sacred Heart. Oh, how I love you!

9. Jesus Falls the Third Time

Jesus: I fell hard the third time. I was so weakened I could not go on. My body collapsed under the cross from such exhaustion! My child, My child, My greatest agonies were not the wounds to the body. They were the wounds I experienced to My heart. Do you know a little more now how I love you? It is in meditating on My Passion and death that you will realize My immense love for you. When you fall, when you struggle, I give you the grace to get up. I never give you more than you can handle. Your strength will come from Me. Come to My Eucharistic Heart. I am waiting for you this day. Oh, how I love you!

10. Jesus Is Stripped of His Garments

Jesus: They took Me to the hill to crucify Me. They angrily stripped Me of My garments. They took off My clothes to whip Me. They had covered My bloody wounds with a dirty purple robe. Now, total surrender-they took off My clothes. I showed you the way to surrender, always complying with the Will of the Father. It is in living in His Will that you will have peace and joy, and life eternal some day. Oh, how I love you!

11. They Nail Him to the Cross

Messenger: See Mary as she holds the little Baby Jesus. See her as she washes His tender hands and feet. See her now as she watches as they pound into those same hands and feet the gigantic nails that fix Jesus to the cross.

Mary:
Oh, my dear ones, my heart was torn in my chest as they nailed His hands and feet to the cross. I ask you this day to walk the Passion with me and see through my eyes the love He has for you. He truly was nailed to the cross.

Jesus:
They pounded the nails into My first hand, then they stretched My body and nailed My other hand. The blood poured from these wounds that went totally through My hands. My pain was so immense, but then they nailed My feet! You do not know what pain I suffered, My child. My children, My children, for each one of you I suffered this pain. Oh, how I loved you!

12. Jesus Dies on the Cross

(Silence.)

Messenger:
He hung for three agonizing hours on the cross against the darkened sky. His greatest agonies were not the agonies of His body, but those of His Heart for the great love He has for each and every soul.

Jesus:
I gave Myself to you, My dear ones. I gave My all. I hung with My arms spread in total surrender. My head was punctured; My hands and feet were nailed to the cross. I gave Myself to you. I give Myself to you this day in the Eucharist. I give Myself to you. I, God, give you Myself! What more do you want?

Song:
Oh, burning Heart, oh, Love divine, etc.

Messenger:
They pierced His Heart with a lance and what flowed forth was blood and water, the sacramental life of the Church, water for Baptism and blood for the Eucharist. His life, death and resurrection live on in the Church this day.

13. Jesus Is Taken Down from the Cross and Placed in the Arms of His Mother

Messenger: His totally lifeless body was placed in the arms of His most loving Mother. As she had held the little baby body in her arms, she now received His bloodied, bruised body in her arms. This is how He obeyed the Father's Will. Jesus gave His life for us. The Father gave His only Son because He loves us so much. Mary, His Mother, our Mother and the Mother of the Church, is forever by His side. See Jesus in the arms of His loving Mother under the cross. This is love.

Mary:
I held His lifeless body in my arms. See through my eyes the love He has for you this day. He gives Himself to you today in the Eucharist. He loves you so much!

14. Jesus Is Locked in the Tomb

Messenger: His enemies rolled the stone up to the tomb and were pleased to have buried Jesus. Mary, outside the tomb, wept bitterly. The cold reality that He was dead! But death has no power over Jesus for on the third day He rose, triumphant, from the tomb! We are partakers in His divine life. Death has no power over Jesus. He is with us this day. He comes to bring us life to the full. He loves us so much!

January 2, 1999

Mary: I am Our Lady of Snows. I come to cover the earth with a soft white blanket of my love.

I come to bring peace to the earth. I tell you to let go of the anxiety in your heart and experience my peace and His love.

I am your heavenly Mother. I come to hold you and caress you and take you to my Immaculate Heart
