We need funds to publish

Fr. John's Ecce Fides book.

October 25, 2007

We received a letter from a priest who
  wanted 500 Medicine of Immortality
books for his priests and wants to use
the Newsletter for 500 priests in India and
  the prayer manual.

Glaci told me it would cost
about $450 in postage to send the books.
In India this covers a really large area because
there are much more people to go with one priest.
This area with 500 priests could cover an
area close to the size of the United States. We are
really reaching the priests all over the world.
We have in a years time a book of letters of
responses from the hierarchy now 8 inches
high (now it actually has to be 2 books).

Those who help us spread this material,
Jesus asked us to do, are helping
us do what Mary, the Queen of Peace
asked us to do at Fatima. We need
your help. We are working night
and day to do what Fr. Carter was
told by Jesus to do 13 years ago.

We need your help.

Satan presses in and tries to
  break up people working together.
Every person needs to do the Father's
will — in this we will find our
  happiness.

When faced with a mountain —
I will not quit — I must focus on
God's plan and how important, Mary,
as Queen of Peace is to the world.
  I live for souls.

When faced with a problem — know
that God will work in the solution —
We don't want to speed up the solution
we want God's solution. There may be
a period of waiting — look Jesus hung
for 3 agonizing hours on the cross —
Jesus has called me — Jesus has called
you — we have exactly the right talents
to reach the world as Jesus asked us.
We can get tremendous grace for our
mission — grace to do this work —
  grace to fight satan —

Trials are trials and they are
  not fun.

        I want holiness, not giving
  into satan.

Holiness is seeing the beauty of
  Jesus in us.

Holiness is seeing the big picture
even when satan tempts us with
  selfish thoughts.

Holiness is letting go, when I
  have addressed what God wanted
and allowing God to work in His
plan and in His way for His
  honor and glory.

        Suffering is suffering — Jesus
hung on the cross — 3 agonizing hours —
for our sins — He was beaten, crowned
with thorns, whipped for our sins —
God allowed this — He is love and He
  loves us so much.

Love is not selfish and rude and
  manipulative — seeking pleasures to
  heal a wounded starved heart.

      Love is action.
Look at Christ on the cross.
Love is giving, not selfish pride.
Love is being one with Jesus and
Allowing His Light to shine from
            us even in suffering.

On a dark day — Jesus hung on
the cross to His death —
        today because of His tremendous
        love for us —
He gives us the Church —
The fountain of His life —
        through baptism we receive
        this tremendous gift a sharing
        in His life.

In the Problem there is the Solution —
what does that mean for me —
I pray to God and I do what I believe
is God's will, as a spiritual director,
I want to see when satan is acting
in a particular way trying to block
or stop what God wants to accomplish
  in the Shepherds of Christ.

We must all discern what is
good for us, what is God's will and
how He wants us to act. I do what
God has directed me to do with
a problem and then I must wait on
  the Lord —
I want the right thing according to
  His will —

There may be a period of anguish,
  waiting, suffering in which
I must endure so to let Him
work in His time, as He desires,
I pray for His grace to see with
God's eyes. I go to Mass, do my
hour and then my solution is
filled more with His life in me.

A Problem is to be dealt
with, but doing it without thought
and prayer can bring a worse
problem than the first — I want
  God's will — I must do what I can
and then pray for grace to act as He
desires of me for His honor and glory.
Waiting in the problem until it
moves can be great suffering — Jesus
hung on the cross for 3 hours —
Jesus was in the tomb 3 days —

I have waited for people to listen
to God to help us — It is when we
are doing God's will we are happy —
when we do not do God's will —
ultimately it leads to unhappiness —
  destruction of the soul.

So I do what I can with a problem —
then I wait for Him to work —

There is the pascal mystery of
  death and resurrection —

When I address the problem and must
wait, many times in suffering —
the devil can tempt us to act for
momentary relief — These can be
  disastrous moves —

It is far better to wait, to go to the Eucharist
if there is time, pray before the tabernacle
and filled with His life and His grace —
we will see things more through
  His eyes.  LIFE IN HIM.

YES LORD I COME TO DO YOUR WILL

        TO BE SET FREE OF

            INORDINATE ATTACHMENTS

            that can become like gods
            to us.

FREEDOM is found in God's will —

Feeling good is not the sign we
             are doing or not doing
             the right thing.

  Many times I suffer doing
            God's will —

  The key is love —

The key is doing God's will —

In confession we get lots of grace
        to avoid temptation and
        not to sin.

Getting grace — His life in us at Mass
        before the tabernacle can help
        us to avoid temptation and
        not to sin.

Psalm 23

Yahweh is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
In grassy meadows he lets me lie.

By tranquil streams he leads me
    to restore my spirit.
He guides me in paths of saving justice
    as befits his name.

Even were I to walk in a ravine as dark as death
I should fear no danger, for you are at my side.
Your staff and your crook are there to soothe me.

You prepare a table for me
    under the eyes of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
    my cup brims over.

Kindness and faithful love pursue me
    every day of my life.
I make my home in the house of Yahweh
    for all time to come.

Ezekiel 34: 11-16

“For the Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I myself shall take care of my flock and look after it. As a shepherd looks after his flock when he is with his scattered sheep, so shall I look after my sheep. I shall rescue them from wherever they have been scattered on the day of clouds and darkness. I shall bring them back from the peoples where they are; I shall gather them back from the countries and bring them back to their own land. I shall pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the inhabited parts of the country. I shall feed them in good pasturage; the highest mountains of Israel will be their grazing ground. There they will rest in good grazing grounds; they will browse in rich pastures on the mountains of Israel. I myself shall pasture my sheep, I myself shall give them rest–declares the Lord Yahweh. I shall look for the lost one, bring back the stray, bandage the injured and make the sick strong. I shall watch over the fat and healthy. I shall be a true shepherd to them."

                    Gift —
                    God gives to us gifts.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit are
                Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel,
                Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety and
                Fear of the Lord

                Generosity of God

God is not asking us to be concerned
                    with the richest clothes —

God is asking us to spread the good
news — to be the ones who encourage
who spread the Good News not for
                    our own selfish promotion, but
for the honor and glory of God —

I am here to have relationship with
God — to prepare myself for the
                    beatific vision

I am here to be one who at times
may walk in a world around
me that seems blind and yet

I do not join the blind men if I
am surrounded by them — I
                    keep my sight —

I do not let myself be impaired
in any way by those things
                    surrounding me —

My foot is on a solid path
My heart is always one with
God — my counsel comes from
Him as I live in deep
                    oneness in Him

Our Father, who art in heaven

The Our Father shows to me my
                    relationship with the Almighty
God to call Him my Father —
I have come from a most
elite house — the house of my
                    Father —
My Father is in heaven, my home
is to be forever with Him in
heaven — I have been asked
to prepare myself for this —
I am away at school — I am
being tested in His ways —
                    strengthened to be more perfect
                    like him

The children of Adam and Eve have
                    a wounded human nature and
God has sent me on a journey
to grow in greater perfection —
to die to my imperfections —

Matthew 5: 48

...You must therefore be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.’

I am here to lead others to grow in
                    greater perfection —

I am here to be the child of the Father —
more and more — so He would reveal
to me greater insight into the
                    hidden mysteries —

Matthew 11:25

At that time Jesus exclaimed, 'I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to little children.

                Hallowed be Thy name

                Here I am Lord
I come to do Your will
                No matter how hard —
                I say yes —-
I beg for Your grace —
                My beloved God —
To fill me with Your grace —
Christ is head of the Church —
                You outpour Your grace
                On us thankless race —
We are thirsty — we drink at
the fountain of Your life —
We come to do Your will —
                We thirst for You

God break our hearts of stone —
God help us to be pure
God what have You to do for me
Oh God I have heard You calling
                    me in the night —
God I will reach out to others
                    not be self-focused

Let us prepare ourselves here on
this journey to You — to the
                    beatific vision

                God outpour Your blessings —
                God we are imperfect
                We are sorry God —
                Please forgive us —
                    Forgive us our sins —
                    God have mercy on us
                    Forgive us —
Lead us to heaven some day to
be happy with you forever —

Wisdom 3: 1-9

But the souls of the upright are in the hands of God,
and no torment can touch them.
To the unenlightened, they appeared to die,
their departure was regarded as disaster,
their leaving us like annihilation;
but they are at peace.
If, as it seemed to us, they suffered punishment,
their hope was rich with immortality;
slight was their correction, great will their blessings be.
God was putting them to the test
and has proved them worthy to be with him;
he has tested them like gold in a furnace,
and accepted them as a perfect burnt offering.
At their time of visitation, they will shine out;
as sparks run through the stubble, so will they.
They will judge nations, rule over peoples,
and the Lord will be their king for ever.
Those who trust in him will understand the truth,
those who are faithful will live with him in love;
for grace and mercy await his holy ones,
and he intervenes on behalf of his chosen.

Psalm 91: 1-16

You who live in the secret place of Elyon,
spend your nights in the shelter of Shaddai,
saying to Yahweh, ‘My refuge, my fortress,
my God in whom I trust!’

He rescues you from the snare
of the fowler set on destruction;
he covers you with his pinions,
you find shelter under his wings.
His constancy is shield and protection.

You need not fear the terrors of night,
the arrow that flies in the daytime,
the plague that stalks in the darkness,
the scourge that wreaks havoc at high noon.

Though a thousand fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
you yourself will remain unscathed.
You have only to keep your eyes open
to see how the wicked are repaid,
you who say, Yahweh my refuge!
and make Elyon your fortress.

No disaster can overtake you,
no plague come near your tent;
he has given his angels orders about you
to guard you wherever you go.
They will carry you in their arms
in case you trip over a stone.
You will walk upon wild beast and adder,
you will trample young lions and snakes.

‘Since he clings to me I rescue him,
I raise him high, since he acknowledges my name.
He calls to me and I answer him:
in distress I am at his side,
I rescue him and bring him honour.
I shall satisfy him with long life,
and grant him to see my salvation.’

                Sing:  On Eagle's wings

"And hold you in the palm of
                    his hand"

"The snare of the fowler will
                    never capture you"

                God is faithful —
God loves us so much —

His Word is like a two-edged
                    sword —
                It lives in me
His Word is alive in my heart —

Oh God — hear and help me
Let me be fed at Your table
Oh God let me taste Your Word —
Let it live within my heart —

Romans 6: 3-4, 9

You cannot have forgotten that all of us, when we were baptised into Christ Jesus, were baptised into his death. So by our baptism into his death we were buried with him, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father’s glorious power, we too should begin living a new life.

We know that Christ has been raised from the dead and will never die again. Death has no power over him any more.

John 11: 25

Jesus said:

I am the resurrection.
Anyone who believes in me,
even though that person dies, will live,

John 14: 1-6

Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You trust in God, trust also in me.
In my Father’s house
    there are many places to live in;
otherwise I would have told you.
I am going now to prepare a place for you,
and after I have gone
    and prepared you a place,
I shall return to take you to myself,
so that you may be with me
where I am.
You know the way
to the place where I am going.

Thomas said, ‘Lord, we do not know where you are going, so how can we know the way?’ Jesus said:

I am the Way; I am Truth and Life.
No one can come to the Father
    except through me.

We always see the big pictures —
We spend our few short years
                        here in love —
We live in faith, hope and love.
We believe — we hope in getting
                        to heaven for us —
Great things have happened in our
                        lives —
We must beg God for insight into
                        the hidden mysteries —

Excerpt from Response to God's Love

by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

                                 1

The Mystery of Christ and
            Christian Existence

... In reference to Christianity, God himself is the ultimate mystery. Radically, God is completely other and transcendent, hidden from man in his inner life, unless he chooses to reveal himself. Let us briefly look at this inner life of God.

The Father, in a perfect act of self-expression, in a perfect act of knowing, generates his son. The Son, the Word, is, then, the immanent expression of God's fullness, the reflection of the Father. Likewise, from all eternity, the Father and the Son bring forth the Holy Spirit in a perfect act of loving.

At the destined moment in human history, God's self-expression, the Word, immersed himself into man's world. God's inner self-expression now had also become God's outer self-expression. Consequently, the mystery of God becomes the mystery of Christ. In Christ, God tells us about himself, about his inner life, about his plan of creation and redemption. He tells us how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire to dwell within us in the most intimate fashion, how they wish to share with us their own life through grace. All this he has accomplished and does accomplish through Christ. St. Paul tells us: "I became a minister of this Church through the commission God gave me to preach among you his word in its fullness, that mystery hidden from ages and generations past but now revealed to his holy ones. God has willed to make known to them the glory beyond price which this mystery brings to the Gentiles—the mystery of Christ in you, your hope of glory. This is the Christ we proclaim while we admonish all men and teach them in the full measure of wisdom, hoping to make every man complete in Christ" (Col 1:25-28).

We give to God our life - story —
We have only so many days here —
They are to be lived in deeper
                        love — deeper relationship
with God — for all eternity
                        we will live in this
                        relationship with God if
                        we go to heaven —

We are here to learn deeper
                        love with each other —
                        to do God's will —

From the pierced Heart of Jesus
                        flowed blood and water —
                        from which the Church
                        was born

Let us thirst at the table of the
                    Lord

Let us live on faith, hope and love —

Dear God help us to be prepared
                    more and more for heaven

Dear God help us to lead others
                    to heaven

Dear God help us to keep this
                    as our focus

                Sing:  You are Mine

                    God is our hope —
                    God is with us —
God wants us to turn to Him —
We offer Him our life —
We give Him our love —
                    We are not afraid —
                    He is with us
He loves us so very much
                    We are His —
We are united by the love of Jesus Christ

God let us lift up our hearts to you —
Let us give away our sad thoughts
                        and focus on you —

                Oh God we worship You
                Oh God we love You
                You are holy —
                You are almighty —
We love You God so much
                Help us —
                Bless us Oh Lord

We praise, love and worship You —
Oh Lord You are the fountain
                    of all holiness —

                Feed us with Yourself God
We unite to the sacrifice of
                    Jesus and give ourselves to
                    You Oh Father —

                God help us
You give us the Pascal Mystery

1 Corinthians 15: 54-58

And after this perishable nature has put on imperishability and this mortal nature has put on immortality, then will the words of scripture come true: Death is swallowed up in victory. Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin comes from the Law. Thank God, then, for giving us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord.

So, my dear brothers, keep firm and immovable, always abounding in energy for the Lord's work, being sure that in the Lord none of your labours is wasted.

We offer You ourselves Oh Father
We love You so much —
Help us to one day be with You
                    in heaven
Help us not to be blind

Jesus I trust in You.

The Our Father

Our Father, Who art in heaven hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

God we are sorry for our sins
Lamb of God have mercy on us
Lamb of God give us Your peace

                Oh God come to us
Fill us with Yourself, Oh Jesus —
Let our hearts sing with joy to
receive You in the Eucharist —
Oh God — our home will be with
                    you in heaven
Oh God give me Yourself that I might
more deeply share in Your life
We receive the Eucharist we receive
the Body and Blood of Christ Himself
I am united so very deeply to Christ
                    is receiving the Eucharist —
God fills me with His life —

This increases my likeness to Christ.
I am one with Him so deeply
                    one in receiving Him

                Christ instituted this Sacrament
                    Himself.
He wanted to be with us because
                    He loves us so much.
This is food for our soul.

John 6: 35-59

Jesus answered them:

I am the bread of life.
No one who comes to me will ever hunger;
no one who believes in me will ever thirst.
But, as I have told you,
you can see me and still you do not believe.
Everyone whom the Father gives me
   will come to me;
I will certainly not reject
anyone who comes to me,
because I have come from heaven,
not to do my own will,
but to do the will of him who sent me.
Now the will of him who sent me
is that I should lose nothing
of all that he has given to me,
but that I should raise it up
   on the last day.
It is my Father's will
that whoever sees the Son
   and believes in him
should have eternal life,
and that I should raise that person up
   on the last day.

Meanwhile the Jews were complaining to each other about him, because he had said, 'I am the bread that has come down from heaven.' They were saying, 'Surely this is Jesus son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know. How can he now say, "I have come down from heaven?" ' Jesus said in reply to them, 'Stop complaining to each other.

'No one can come to me
unless drawn by the Father who sent me,
and I will raise that person up
   on the last day.
It is written in the prophets:
They will all be taught by God;
everyone who has listened to the Father,
and learnt from him,
comes to me.
Not that anybody has seen the Father,
except him who has his being from God:
he has seen the Father.
In all truth I tell you,
everyone who believes has eternal life.
I am the bread of life.
Your fathers ate manna in the desert
and they are dead;
but this is the bread
   which comes down from heaven,
so that a person may eat it and not die.
I am the living bread
which has come down from heaven.
Anyone who eats this bread
   will live for ever;
and the bread that I shall give
is my flesh, for the life of the world.'

Then the Jews started arguing among themselves, 'How can this man give us his flesh to eat?' Jesus replied to them:

In all truth I tell you,
if you do not eat
the flesh of the Son of man
and drink his blood,
you have no life in you.
Anyone who does eat my flesh
   and drink my blood
has eternal life,
and I shall raise that person up
   on the last day.
For my flesh is real food
and my blood is real drink.
Whoever eats my flesh
   and drinks my blood
lives in me
and I live in that person.
As the living Father sent me
and I draw life from the Father,
so whoever eats me
will also draw life from me.
This is the bread
   which has come down from heaven;
it is not like the bread our ancestors ate:
they are dead,
but anyone who eats this bread
   will live for ever.

This is what he taught at Capernaum in the synagogue.

Such oneness between Jesus and man —
                    Food for our soul

John 6: 55

For my flesh is real food
and my blood is real drink.

The Eucharist is the food for the soul —
                The Eucharist strengthens the soul
                It helps us against temptation
                    and sin.
The Mass is the sacrifice of
                    Calvary, sacramentally made
                    present.
