Colossians 3: 14-17

Over all these clothes, put on love, the perfect bond. And may the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it is for this that you were called together in one body. Always be thankful.

Let the Word of Christ, in all its richness, find a home with you. Teach each other, and advise each other, in all wisdom. With gratitude in your hearts sing psalms and hymns and inspired songs to God; and whatever you say or do, let it be in the name of the Lord Jesus, in thanksgiving to God the Father through him.

Matthew 11: 25-30

At that time Jesus exclaimed, ‘I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to little children. Yes, Father, for that is what it pleased you to do. Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, just as no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

‘Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light.’

Sing: Oh Come Oh Come Emanuel

                R. I do not know the future. I must
embrace the daily activities and live
united to Him. Everything I do a sacrifice
                in Him.

He doesn't give us our life all at once.
He gives us a day at a time, an hour
                at a time, a minute at a time –

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-11

There is a season for everything, a time for every occupation under heaven:

A time for giving birth,
a time for dying;
a time for planting,
a time for uprooting what has been planted.
A time for killing,
a time for healing;
a time for knocking down,
a time for building.
A time for tears,
a time for laughter;
a time for mourning,
a time for dancing.
A time for throwing stones away,
a time for gathering them;
a time for embracing,
a time to refrain from embracing.
A time for searching,
a time for losing;
a time for keeping,
a time for discarding.
A time for tearing,
a time for sewing;
a time for keeping silent,
a time for speaking.
A time for loving,
a time for hating;
a time for war,
a time for peace.

What do people gain from the efforts they make? I contemplate the task that God gives humanity to labour at. All that he does is apt for its time; but although he has given us an awareness of the passage of time, we can grasp neither the beginning nor the end of what God does.

                R. How gentle, indeed, are His ways
and He starts us out as cute little ones,
learning, not even walking or talking,
not being able to even eat big food or
tolerate foods – He gives us breast milk
from our mother and He lets her hold
us and give us milk from herself,
against her skin – that sweet touch
of a baby and mother with milk to
                sustain us. God is love.

His ways are ways of love – He gives
us a mother and father for why we
even came into existence – He wants
us to live secure in love in families,
with mother and father loving us,
protecting us, feeding us, caring for
                us. God is love!

God is love and He has a loving
plan – no matter how harsh things
become – with abortion etc., divorces,
God gave us a loving plan –

                God commanded us to love,
                to love God first and
to love our neighbor as ourselves –
God is kind and merciful –

God is gentle as the tender skin on
                    a cheek of a baby –
as new life when a little one is born –

Oh God - You brought us here in this
life - cute little babies –
                    little toes and little –
                    so we would grow –
                    God is love –

And He wants us to grow in love –
Our life - a life to love more and
                    more perfectly like Him –

He shows us His Heart –

He appeared pointing to His Heart –
rubbing the bottom of His Heart –

                God is love –
And He created us special –
All these beautiful talents - gifts
                    from Him –

                God is love
This Movement is a gift –

We can take this gift for granted.
                God deserves our thanks.
God deserves our love for His Movement.

Jesus has told us about Himself.
                God is love.

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

Isaiah 49:13-15

Shout for joy, you heavens; earth, exult!
Mountains, break into joyful cries!
For Yahweh has consoled his people,
is taking pity on his afflicted ones.

                R. Oh God, You are our Creator and
                    Jesus is our Savior –

Oh God You gave us Jesus in the
                    womb of Mary through
the power of the Holy Spirit.

Oh Jesus You give us Your
                    precious love in the Eucharist.

Come Holy Spirit fill us with the fire
                    of God's love –

God wants us to be a family
                    united in love –
brothers in the Father's family –

Oh Jesus You are our King, our
                    fortress, our all –

Oh God You are all just, all
                    merciful, all loving –

Come to me Lord and possess
                    my soul –

Jeremiah 23: 5-8

Look, the days are coming,
    Yahweh declares,
when I shall raise an upright Branch
    for David;
he will reign as king and be wise,
doing what is just and upright
    in the country.
In his days Judah will triumph
and Israel live in safety.
And this is the name he will be called, ‘Yahweh–is–our–Saving–Justice.’ "

‘So, look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when people will no longer say, "As Yahweh lives who brought the Israelites out of Egypt," but, "As Yahweh lives who led back and brought home the offspring of the House of Israel from the land of the north and all the countries to which he had driven them, to live on their own soil." ’

                R. Think of the Mystery of the Incarnation

Matthew 1: 18-25

This is how Jesus Christ came to be born. His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph; but before they came to live together she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Her husband Joseph, being an upright man and wanting to spare her disgrace, decided to divorce her informally. He had made up his mind to do this when suddenly the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, ‘Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because she has conceived what is in her by the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son and you must name him Jesus, because he is the one who is to save his people from their sins.’ Now all this took place to fulfil what the Lord had spoken through the prophet:

Look! the virgin is with child
and will give birth to a son
whom they will call Immanuel,

a name which means ‘God–is–with–us’. When Joseph woke up he did what the angel of the Lord had told him to do: he took his wife to his home; he had not had intercourse with her when she gave birth to a son; and he named him Jesus.

                Sing: Silent Night

                R. Dear God - give us faith to believe
more and more - help us to
                    love more perfectly –
                    endow us with an increase
of the virtue of hope –

And God granted children to the
                    barren wife – Alleluia

God is the Creator of all mankind.
                    Alleluia

Stand up oh men of Israel, stand
up for the King is to be
                    honored and adored –
Stand up, oh men, walk tall,
                    God brings you
                    blessing and honor and glory.

For you are our hope, Oh God –
                    I trust in You –
                    I depend on You –
I worship You, Oh my God.

Your works, oh God, are Mighty and You
                    have shown me the path
                    of life –

                In Your presence Lord before
You in the Blessed Sacrament --
all of heaven and earth declare Your glory!
Oh God I adore You and
                    I love You –
You are the Lord of Glory –
                    Alleluia
                    For God is love!!
Praise Him with your whole hearts!
                    Sound the trumpet –
                    Sound the Gong –

                Jesus has come
                Jesus has died
                Jesus is risen!

God have mercy on me for I
                    am a sinner.

I am weak, but in You, my God,
                    I am made strong!

Isaiah 7: 14; 8: 10

The Lord will give you a sign in any case:
It is this: the young woman is with child
and will give birth to a son
    whom she will call Immanuel.

    Devise plans as you may:
        they will come to nothing!
    Make what pronouncements you like;
        it will not come about!
    For God is with us!'

Song of Songs 2: 8-14

I hear my love.
See how he comes
leaping on the mountains,
bounding over the hills.
My love is like a gazelle,
like a young stag.

See where he stands
behind our wall.
He looks in at the window,
he peers through the opening.

My love lifts up his voice,
he says to me,
‘Come then, my beloved,
my lovely one, come.
For see, winter is past,
the rains are over and gone.

‘Flowers are appearing on the earth.
The season of glad songs has come,
the cooing of the turtledove is heard in our land.
The fig tree is forming its first figs
and the blossoming vines give out their fragrance.
Come then, my beloved,
my lovely one, come.

‘My dove, hiding in the clefts of the rock,
in the coverts of the cliff,
show me your face,
let me hear your voice;
for your voice is sweet
and your face is lovely.’

                Sing: Joy to the World

We thank You God for You have
                    blessed us abundantly,
                    Lord.

We sing to You, our precious God.

God will bless us, our families,
                    our countries if we turn

Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple

2. Jesus: Come to Me and let go to Me, let go of anxieties. Come and be alone, meditate deeply on My life and My presence with you. It is there you will find peace and joy. It is there you will find comfort.

                R. How gentle Jesus is!

Excerpt from Blue Book 9 - November 21, 1995 Rosary

Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple

3. Jesus: You go out to the busy world. You must come to the interior of your hearts, empty yourself of anger, jealousies, unforgiveness, pride, that I can fill you with My love and fill you with My grace. It is there that you put the pieces of your life together with giving yourself to God, moments alone with God. You are comforted and feel at peace. Come, My dear ones, into the interior of My Heart and I will care for you.

4. R. We see as we meditate on the rosary, all through the rosary, the Father’s plan unfolds. The Father’s plan for Mary to be the Mother of God - and how Jesus and Mary complied to this plan. We see the Father’s presence all through Their lives, They knew His love and They complied to His Will. We see the workings of the Holy Spirit in the prophet Simeon as he was led to the temple, when Joseph and Mary arrived. Focus on the presence of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus leads us in the Holy Spirit to the Father. There are 3 Persons in One God! It is in realizing the love of each Person that our hearts are filled with such dynamite love for God. Tell the Holy Spirit of our immense love. Outpour your love to God! Let our hearts burn for love of Jesus. God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit love us! Let us focus as we meditate on these mysteries, on the presence of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Let us feel the presence of the Triune God.

                R. 21 Years ago
I asked Jesus if He would write a book
                    to use my hand.

October 5, 1992 - 3:30am

R. Dear Jesus, Give me Your hand to write this book for you. I am your servant. I want to be Your hand to this world. If you, Lord Jesus, would write a book, what would you say?

Jesus:   My dear children,

Today I come to deliver a message to each of you. I want to tell you of each person's dignity, of their beauty and their self-worth. Each child is, oh, so uniquely precious to My Most Sacred Heart. Each child is full of the talents I have given to them. Each person is divinely created by God and given all these gifts to be happy and love one another.

The problem comes when you feel you will be left out. That you will be left by another who has trodden on you and will do it again. I see you all as My most precious children. I watch your every move and know all pain and anguish in your heart. My Heart aches, you have insecure feelings about yourself. I came to this earth I died for you. I felt cold, hungry, lonely on this earth. You need not worry that no one knows the pain and anguish in your heart. God created you with such special gifts and talents. It is important for you to raise above your wound and forgive those who hurt you.

You need only turn your will and your life over to Me and I will guide you in all your ways. I have all the Power. Many are not of My ways. The key to life is to recognize your faults, but still know you are this precious gift of My Father a gift to this world. This world is in need of your strength. Running yourself down, blaming others hurting them can cause you misery and pain. At this very moment, you are the precious creation of God!! You must operate with Me in your heart.

You need not run yourself down. I am with you every day guiding your ways, lest your foot stumble and you lose your way. You will not wander far from your path if every day you keep bringing your focus back to Me. If you dare let Me be at the helm, if you dare to really let Me run your life, I will do with you such wonders that you yourself would be amazed. But you will know with such ease when you did these things that you did not do them alone. You will know My power, moving the mountain, My power chipping at the stone, My power working on your hardest problem and you will be set free.

Oh yes, you will be set free and know a serenity that only comes from letting go and letting Me run your life. To you, My child, I have given all that is good. I made you My holy soldier, My warrior in a world of pain and hatred. You are the light that shines in the darkness, you are the coat to a cold child, you are the smile that warms a troubled and lonely heart. You are the comfort for everyone you meet, because My most precious Heart powers you, smiles through you, understands and loves through you.

Love your fellows for Me. There are so many troubled hearts that need to know My love. I can love through you if you let Me, I can be their friend through you if you let Me. I am He who comforts you and you are he who comforts them. My power is endless, it never runs out, there is not a power failure EVER. In your darkest hour, My light shines in the darkness and I say to you, "Oh blessed of My Father, look at yourself with awe, you are My creation, you are indeed so precious to Me, you are My light to this world, you are My hands and My feet and most of all My Heart."

Oh, you are My loving Heart, to those who are bowed down, to those who are lost in the darkness, you carry My smile and wear My armor in a world that is trying to tear one another down with hate and ugliness. There is gentleness, there is love, there is hope in you, if you open yourself up to Me. Be My knight to the world, wear My armor. I am your God and I will protect you from the darkness. Plug into My power, be not afraid, I go before you always and you can rest in My arms when you feel weary. You can put your head in My lap and weep, you will know, I am truly with you and you are My light to this world. I created you so special - to cast out fear in the darkness, to clothe the naked, to give hope to the oppressed, to be as I live in you and love through you and you are My smile and I touch My hurting ones through your love.

You are he who loves this world. You must stay plugged into My power-source This world is hungry for My love. It needs My love, I give to them through you. I am your God and I made you as a gift to the world. You are filled.

Focus on Me and your life will be abundant and whole, joy in suffering, freedom but you can take the knocks because you will know you do not go it alone, but with Me. I love you My precious child.

He gave me the talent message.

Picture of the Sacred Heart of JesusUse Your Talents

October 3, 1993 Chicago Marian Conference 11:30a.m.

Jesus: I am your Savior, Son of the Living God. I come to you that you might have life, not as the world gives you life, but My life which is life eternal. I carved you from My special carving and made you little less than an angel. I love you and cherish all the moments when you, My special child, come to sit with Me. I wait here and I hope you will choose to come, but I never force you. Your will is totally free and I give it to you because of My love and the will of the Father. I inform you in numerous ways. You do not have to guess and wonder. Come be with Me in this silence and all you need to know will be told to you. Your life is unfolding as a beautiful rose. Each petal falls and you plant My odors about as I so desire. I make your life full and sure as you trust in Me. No need for worrying, My little flower. My ways give you freedom if you listen to your heart. I am a personal God and you know Me as giving you fullness and life. You know there is some magnetism to Me and the way you crave to be part of Me. This is the work of the one, true God Who created you with a thirst that can only be quenched by Me. All roads that lead to Me give you fullness, worth, peace and joy, not as the world thinks, but as you yourself know true peace and joy. When I really touch you, you do not remain the same. I shed My Blood for you that you will have the life only I can give. What friend in this world would die for you? You, My child, were worth My dying for. I came that you will have life eternal and the gift I give is My Precious Blood for your sins. Come to Me in trouble and when you are bowed down. Come to Me in joy. Come to Me every day that you live and I will give you all you need. Seek to know Me more and more. Knowledge of Me, being with Me, are the only way to perfect peace. They lead to eternal life.

I have a divine plan for you. I created you with special gifts and talents to be used to do My work. They are not for your own self-promotion. You, My child, are nothing except as I created you. Why try to promote yourself? It is none of your own doing. I gave you the talents you are using. You had nothing to do with it. These talents were given to you to do My work. To use these talents to make yourself feel better than your brother is indeed a sin. You must realize they are loaned to you to work for Me. As you give someone a car, or loan them a place to stay, I loan you your talents to use to work for Me. If you do not work for Me and use them to make yourself better than your brother, you are offending Me. Likewise, if I give you talents and you do not use them because you think you are not as good as your brother, you are not being thankful to Me for My gifts to you. You are not using My gifts and that offends Me greatly. Each person was created by Me to do My work. Each person has all he needs to do My work. To be envious of others is fruitless. They have their job. You have yours. You are not supposed to do their work. That is why you were not given their talents.

Do your own work. Don't be envious of your brothers. Don't hide your talents. You did not earn them. I gave you your talents. You must sing because I will it. Others must do as I will them to do. It displeases Me to give you a gift and watch you hide it and make light of it. I give the gift. You must use all your gifts. They were given to you to do My work. Your brother has his gifts. Be grateful for your brother and he should be for you. You are all chosen by Me for a special mission. You know what to do. It feels right. I plant little seeds in your heart and all you do that is for you in the end feels right. You are not to be doing your brother's work or he yours. Talk to Me that you might know just what your work is and do it.

Do not hide your talents. Praise your God Who gave you these talents. Embrace and use them. This is not pride. This is My plan. I love you. I give to each of you, My precious children, as a mother who buys special Christmas gifts for each child. To buy gifts all the same for all your children is not to respect their specialness, their individuality.

Oh, I love you, little ones, so much. Please come to Me. I am so good and I wait to be with you and share My love with you. Come now. This is your top priority. All else will work when you come to Me first. I love you. You are My chosen children. Come and be filled and I make your loads light and I fill you with the Spirit of Salvation.

All roads that lead to Me are the right roads. Praise Me for I am good and I love you, little dear ones.

                R. One of my favorite messages He gave
                    22 years ago was
                    November 8, 1991.

November 8, 1991 - 4:00 a.m.

Jesus:  From this day forward, you will have love, peace and joy.

You are drawn to Me like a magnet - come home to Me and feel the inner joy in your heart.

I am with you always to the ends of the earth.

I am your God and you shall not have other gods besides Me.

I will be with you - that is My promise. I will be with you forever more. Cling to Me for I am strong.

Do not be afraid, for I will gently show you the way of the Lord.

Matthew 11: 28-30

‘Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes, my yoke is easy and my burden light.’

R. Jesus, save me from the snare of the devil, from his seed. Plant me on solid ground so I can prosper and be full and follow the ways of the Lord.

For You have gently touched my heart and I am warm and cuddly inside.

Your wish is my command. I must follow the ways of the Lord in all things and follow His path, doing His will.

You will show me this path, if I am open to You. All I need do is ask, and I will be answered.

Open my heart and my will to Your direction, Lord Jesus. You are with me in the night, in the rising of the sun and during the day. In all my trials, You are there. Open up my heart to Your word.

The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Give me Your direction so I might know what path You want me to take.

If I open my heart and listen, all will be revealed to me in His time. For the honor and glory of You Jesus Christ I ask these things in Your name and open my heart to Your direction.

Please help me to put aside the ways of the flesh and follow Your direction, Lord Jesus, this day and always to dwell in the house of the Lord.

Song: All My Days

R. Today is one of those days. Sing praise to God our Father, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit. Honor and glory to You, GOD.

Thanks for this letter, You wake me from my sleep. I thought I heard a noise, but it was You waking me to talk to me.

Your word is the word of God, and all honor be Yours for Your direction. It came from God and I must heed these words.

God speaks:  Put your anger aside, and make room in your heart for Jesus' love I pour into you right now. Replenish yourself with My love and My grace and be still, for I am with you this day. I will watch over you, and comfort you, and bring you into the land flowing with milk and honey. Listen to My word and be glad so that all might see your good works and praise your Father Who is in heaven.

I bless you and keep you ever in My Heart. Be ready to do My will and be blessed by Me. Listen and be glad, for I am with you until the consummation of the world.

Go now and live My word, My child. I love you.

Jesus: In the midst of confusion, be the light shining in the darkness, be life to those who are down-hearted. I have the power to do all things and I am within you, so you have the power to be My light to the world.

You are plugged into an undying source. I am there. I want to love, I want to give, I want to comfort and strengthen. I will do these things to My brethren through you, if you let Me.

Love your family, I have given them as gifts to you, to love and care for.

                R. Jesus is so gentle, so loving, He
is teaching us. He is all
                    perfect.

                God is love.

                Response to God's love –

How do we respond to God who
                    loves us - so much.

                God first loved us!

                From Fr. Carter, S.J.
"Christ has come, then, not to destroy
                    anything that is authentically human,
but to perfect it by leading it
                    to a graced fulfillment.
This is the meaning of the Incarnation.
The more God-like we become through
Christ, the more human we become."

                We live in Christ!

We live His life, death and resurrection in
                    our lives. Dying to
ways not likened to Him and
Rising to new life in Him.

                The Pascal Mystery – Death/Resurrection
We love Him so much - we give ourselves
for the reason we were created --
to know, love and serve God.

                Fr. Carter says
"The incarnation continues for all time.
Christ, of course, is the one who
                    fundamentally continues the Incarnation,
                    but he enlists our help.
The world no longer sees Jesus, no
longer is able to reach out and
touch Him. We are the ones who
now, in some way, make Christ
                    visible and tangible. In union
                    with the invisible, glorified Christ,
and depending upon him as our
                    source of strength, we continue
                    the Incarnation in its visible
                    and temporal dimensions."

It is a great privilege and responsibility
that is ours! We do, in fact
                    continue the Incarnation.

                R. From the book
                    Response to God's Love
                    Order from Shepherds of Christ
                    1-888-211-3041

                Fr. Carter continues
"The Christian is initiated into the
mystery of Christ, into his or her
                    role of prolonging the Incarnation,
                    through baptism."

Romans 6: 3-5

You cannot have forgotten that all of us, when we were baptised into Christ Jesus, were baptised into his death. So by our baptism into his death we were buried with him, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father’s glorious power, we too should begin living a new life. If we have been joined to him by dying a death like his, so we shall be by a resurrection like his:

                R. The nourishment God gives us for
our Christ-life is Himself in the
                    Eucharist.

We eat His Body, we drink His Blood,
                    we put on Christ –

                Fr. Carter says
"Here the entire course of salvation
history, as centered in Jesus, is
                    sacramentally renewed and
                    continued. Through this Eucharistic
                    encounter we become more
                    deeply incorporated into Christ
                    and his mysteries."

John 3: 16

For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
    may not perish
but may have eternal life.

Excerpt from Response to God's Love

                Fr. Carter says

Christ, in his descent into human flesh, has established a milieu of love. The life he came to give can flourish only in the framework of love. Indeed, we can summarize the meaning of the Christian life by stating that it is a response to God's love—a love that God freely gives to us without conditions or qualifications. Love is the beginning and the end. The main truth that we must comprehend is that the redemptive incarnation was wrought by God's love to raise us, in turn, to a deeper level of loving. Our further penetration into the mystery of the Incarnation can take place only in love. Incarnate love can only be understood and participated in more fully through our own life of love.

Another characteristic of our assimilation to the mystery of Christ is its personalism. There were numerous possibilities open to God, given his decision to redeem the human race. He actually chose, however, to accomplish our redemption in the most personalistic way; he communicated himself to us through the personal enfleshment of his Son. This means that God was giving himself to us through the warmth, the kindness, the strength, the gentleness, and the selflessness that emanated from the incarnate person of Christ. It was truly the incarnate, personal acts of Christ that redeemed us—his work and relaxation, his joy, his friendships, his love for Mary and Joseph, the training of the apostles, his concern for the most abject of those he encountered, his fatigue, his agony and death, and his resurrection. Our redemption was truly personalistic.

Moreover the personalism of the Incarnation continues. In union with Christ, we are called upon to help him continue his Incarnation in its visible, earthly dimension. Only one framework is available to us according to which we can help further the Incarnation—our personal lives, that is to say, our lives as individuals united as a people, the People of God. The human condition as we experience it—joyfully and painfully, too—also provides the soil for our participation in the continued Incarnation. Redemption continues to take place not when we try to remove ourselves from the human condition, but when we strive to live an authentically human life that is more and more in Christ. It is by living truly personalistic lives—that is, lives springing forth from the greatness of the person as created and redeemed by God, lives that do not flinch from the human condition—that redemption continues to be made visible to this world.

Christian personalism centers in our personal relationships with God and others, and again, Christ shows the way. Through the Word made flesh, the life of the Trinity has incarnationally manifested itself to mankind. The life of the Trinity centers in the personal relationships between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; but God's life is also his love gone out to the human race. The Incarnation projects this Trinitarian life into the temporal sphere. Jesus has come to tell us about Trinitarian life, to give us a share in it, to teach us that through grace we share in God's life—a life of relationships—by entering into deepened personal relationships with God and other persons. Redemption that is received and contributed to is the experience of these relationships. In other words, as Jesus has told us, the Christian life is summed up in love of God and neighbor. Out of these personalized love relationships flow many things; for example, redemption continued is the loving abandonment to the love of God that despite possible fear, allows a person to accomplish things that are totally beyond his or her natural courage. Or again, redemption continued is loving those who are afar off whom I will never see or know, but whom I know are my brothers and my sisters and whom my work and prayer can reach out and touch. Or again, redemption continued is the Christian hope and trust that allows man and woman to take the risk of the mutual self-giving that is marriage. Or again, redemption continued is the black person who continues to relate to his or her white neighbors in faith, hope, and love despite temptations to hatred and bitterness. Or again, redemption continued is the ecstasy and the agony of loving and being loved. Truly, the Incarnation visibly continued is our Christian faith, hope, and love made alive in our personal relationships with God and man.

In our assimilation to the mystery of Christ, then, we learn about love and the personalistic. We also learn a further truth—the value of the material, the tangible, in God's plan of redemption. The Incarnation established a set pattern for the redemption of the world, that is, redemption taken both objectively (the historical, salvific life of Christ) and subjectively (the redemption as applied to mankind). Christ redeemed the world through his humanity, which was a created and, in part, a tangible reality. As Jesus' humanity was indispensable for accomplishing the objective redemption, so also created things are necessary for continuing the subjective redemption. An outstanding example of this occurs in the Eucharistic liturgy, for bread and wine—material, tangible realities—are the central focus of the liturgical rite as they are changed into Christ's body and blood.

In assuming a human nature, then, Jesus has united to himself not only mankind, but also the material world. Not only the human spirit, but also the human body and the material world have been given a new dignity because of the Incarnation and enter so vitally into the Incarnation continued. Once for all let us lay aside the influence of Manichaeism, Gnosticism, and similar false teachings that denigrate that which is material. It is obvious that we do not always properly use material creation; at such times, we have failed to relate to material creation according to God's will. Let us remember, then, that Christ, in elevating the material to a new dignity, has accomplished this partially through that aspect of the Incarnation that is the cross—a dimension of the Incarnation that, along with its other aspects, must also be present in our encounter with the material. We must realize that such elements as Christian self-discipline and renunciation must find a place in our lives if we are to use material creation according to God's designs.

There are numberless applications of the value of the material, the visible, the tangible, in our Christ-lives: there is, for example, the warm, receptive smile of a friend and the reading of Scripture and the physical love of husband and wife and the exhilarating refreshment of a day at the seashore and God's loveliness that is reflected in a little child—and, of course, the list could continue on. The fundamental principle, however, is the same in all cases:—the human nature of Jesus, something that has been created and is in part material, has reached out and touched all these other things and experiences that are part of life in a material world. When we properly relate to them, they become for us extensions of the Incarnation. They are the redemptive Incarnation applied to us; in addition, they are opportunities for us to assist Christ in continuing his Incarnation for others.

The Incarnation, as we have briefly pointed out, was and is a rich and varied event. The truths that accompany Christ's descent into our world are numerous and capable of not only originally elevating us to a new life, but also constantly leading us to a deeper, richer, and more vibrant participation in that life. This is why Christ came to live in our midst—to give us life in abundance:

The Word became flesh
and made his dwelling among us.
                                    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
                                    Of his fullness
we have all had a share—
                                    love following upon love.

Jn 1:14-16

From Blue Book 8

From the Priestly Newsletter Book III by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

The Holy Spirit And Mary (excerpt)

“These two, then, the Holy Spirit and Mary, are the indispensable artificers of Jesus, the indispensable sanctifiers of souls. Any saint in heaven can co-operate in the sanctification of a soul, but his co-operation is not necessary, not profound, not constant: while the cooperation of these two artisans of Jesus of whom we have just been speaking is so necessary that without it souls are not sanctified (and this by the actual design of Providence), and so intimate that it reaches to the very depths of our soul. For the Holy Spirit pours charity into our heart, makes a habitation of our soul, and directs our spiritual life by means of His gifts. The Virgin Mary has the efficacious influence of Mediatrix in the most profound and delicate operations of grace in our souls. And, finally, the action of the Holy Spirit and the co-operation of the most holy Virgin Mary are constant; without them, not one single character of Jesus would be traced on our souls, no virtue grow, no gift be developed, no grace increased, no bond of union with God be strengthened in the rich flowering of the spiritual life.

“Such is the place that the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary have in the order of sanctification. Therefore, Christian piety should put these two artisans of Christ in their true place, making devotion to them something necessary, profound, and constant.”18

Assumption

1. Jesus: The seeds of time move exceedingly slow.

John 14: 2-3

In my Father’s house
there are many places to live in;
otherwise I would have told you.
I am going now to prepare a place for you,
and after I have gone
and prepared you a place,
I shall return to take you to myself,
so that you may be with me
where I am.

Jesus: Many do not want to let go of their world, they see before them the world as their end. I am Jesus and I am giving you My abundant life, this day. Will you come to My Heart and experience the great gifts, that I am giving to you?

2. Jesus: My Mother appeared as Our Lady of Fatima and she made many promises, the promises of Fatima are unfolding. My dear sweet children, your Mother Mary is forever by your side protecting you with her heavenly mantle. The Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph and there will be an era of peace. You My dear ones are very much a part of the Father’s plan. What you do minute by minute, second by second is so important to this plan. I am giving to you messages for this world. The world needs these messages. You must stay fixed in My heart. Do not let Satan distract you and lead you from your goal. Your goal is FIRST - LOVE OF GOD, and LOVE OF ONE ANOTHER and I am asking you this day to spend time to help Me to circulate these messages. Do not let Satan distract you in any way. I am Jesus, he does not want these messages to circulate.

3. Jesus: Are you tired? I am giving to you great graces to accomplish this task. Satan is pressing to try to stop you. Many souls will be touched through these rosaries, given from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Excerpt from the July 7, 1995 Rosary

Jesus Carries His Cross to Calvary

4. Jesus: Be surrendering as I surrendered to the Will of the Father. I carried the cross on My back, My arms in such pain, ripped and torn. I carried this cross always complying to the Father’s Will for love of you, dear ones. I carried this cross. Will you not carry the crosses that I give to you this day? Will you not surrender and say yes to the life that I am giving to you as you go through sufferings? You rise to new life in Me. Accept the cross. Do not give your crosses away. Come to Me and share deep, intimate moments within your sufferings. I am Jesus. I am attentive to your every need. Carry your cross and you too will be raised to new life. It is a constant struggle of ups and downs of sufferings in life. I withstood all of the pain that was constant. The pain that did not stop from the Agony in the Garden until I died on the cross. There was not any relief My dear ones. You are given little crosses to carry. You are given an opportunity to come and dwell in My Heart and the Heart of My Mother. Come and take refuge in Our Hearts. Release yourselves for I will carry the load with you. I am your beloved Savior, attentive to your every need. I am your Savior.

Assumption

9. Jesus: The seeds of time move exceedingly slow. My dear ones, many weeds must be taken out of a well cared garden. In your hearts you must weed out all the impurities and let your hearts be filled with My abundant love. If you allow the weeds to grow in your heart, they will take over the whole heart and your heart will become very dark and like stone. You must weed out the small weeds as they come, the small impurities, checking at every second for small weeds that are beginning to sprout. I am Jesus, the seeds of time move exceedingly slow. Many of your brothers are set in their ways. You must pray as you have never prayed before, for satan aims to stop your work here. He will do all that he can to stop any of the meditations from getting out to My beloved souls. I am Jesus, I am strengthening you for the days ahead. It is through these tapes that many hearts will be touched, the hearts of the needy and the hearts of the hungry. These are rosaries from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We are giving Our abundant love to all those who listen to these rosaries and giving great graces to each soul, to turn their hearts to deep love of God.

10. Jesus: As you are in your heart, so shall you be in this world. Consecrate your hearts everyday to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Come to the heart of My Mother and dwell in her heart. Be cradled and loved by her pure and tender love and she will mold you through the Holy Spirit more and more into My image. I am Jesus. I AM love. To know Me, to live IN Me, to live in My heart is to love. In the well cared garden there are few weeds. You must care to the weeding of your heart. If there is any anger or resentment in your heart, surrender and let go and trade any bitterness for hearts of love. I call you to sainthood. I am Jesus. It is in the ordinariness of your life that you become saints. Live to please the Father, to be as a child, obedient to the Father’s will, always living according to His will, always trying as a small, small child to please their Father, realizing always, the love of your beloved Mother.

In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #1 - CD. - Christ is Our Strength - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our-selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #2 - CD. - Suffering: A Source of Life - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. Fr. Carter knew suffering that year. His voice is so powerful as he read each Newsletter from his heart and soul. "Every man has his own share in the redemption. Each one is also called to share in that suffering through which the redemption was accomplished. He is called to share in that suffering through which all human suffering has also been redeemed. In bringing about the redemption through suffering, Christ has also raised human suffering to the level of the redemption. Thus each man in his suffering can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ–." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
