Day 8 Period I.

The Novena Rosary Mysteries
for November 19th
are Glorious.

Prayer for Grace for our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

Mary: The devil is running rampant.

There is so much suffering in the world.
As you dwell in my heart, I place you in the burning vat of Jesus' love for you. Satan lies to people so they don’t know how lovable they are.

You need this Movement.

It helps you have this truth how much God loves you. God loves you because you are you. You are lovable, so loved by Jesus.

Don’t listen to Satan, he is a fallen angel. He said ”I will not serve God”.

1 Corinthians 13: 1-3

Though I command languages both human and angelic—if I speak without love, I am no more than a gong booming or a cymbal clashing. And though I have the power of prophecy, to penetrate all mysteries and knowledge, and though I have all the faith necessary to move mountains—if I am without love, I am nothing. Though I should give away to the poor all that I possess, and even give up my body to be burned—if I am without love, it will do me no good whatever.

Mary: I tell you as your heavenly Mother that loves you so much.

Use the Blue Books. They are Jesus' love letters to you.

Pray the Prayer for Union.

Pray the Shepherds of Christ prayers.

Jesus loves you so much. Remember the prodigal son.

Oh, Jesus wants your union with Him.

He loves you so much.

I love you more than any earthly Mother ever could.

I am your Mother of love.

I am Our Lady of Clearwater.

I am Our Lady of  Fatima in the Americas.

Use the Blue Books.

Pray the Holy Spirit Novena God gave you.

Pray the Shepherds of Christ prayers.

Spread them.

Be loving and help one another.

Be thankful. Obey God.

                November 18, 2018

                R. Jesus rode on a donkey on Palm Sunday –

Mary went to Nazareth on a donkey –

She carried Jesus in her womb –

                Like book ends

Jesus was born in Bethlehem and the Father
showed His acceptance of this great
night by the shining star –
There was not room for Jesus in the Inn –
His journey was on the donkey to Bethlehem
                        in Mary's womb –

Now the people hail Jesus as He rides
on the donkey on Palm Sunday –
King of David – Oh God –

Jesus threw out the money changers –

He was stepping on their turf going in
                    the temple doing this –

                Then He gave a parable

Which son did the Father's will?
                    The first son said "no"
                        then did it –
The second son said yes and
                        didn't do it.

It is God who put us here to do
                    His will not just talk
                        about it!

Our faith is not a matter of saying
                    right words –
then doing your own will, not God's
                    will –

Just spend time in a personal relationship
with God and beg to have the
                    Holy Spirit in you.

God is all Powerful – when He
dwells in you and you dwell
                    in God, you have strength
to do the right thing –

Putting God first and growing in virtues.

We can say we will do God's will, but
it must be in our actions we do God's will.

It doesn't work in marriage if a person
says they will do it and don't –
just give a lot of talk –

If we are not doing what God wants
it's not too late to change –

In a Gospel, Jesus asked His Apostles
who do you say I am –

Peter said: "You are the Christ, Son of the
                    Living God" –
Peter was given the keys –
                    The Pope has authority –
                    Jesus built his Church and
                        Peter was pope –
Jesus show us the 3 roles
                        prophet, king and priest –
Jesus came to give us His Church.
Christ is Priest, Prophet and King.

The Apostles knew Jesus was great –

The Apostles knew they had an important
role in the building of the Kingdom –

The Old Testament people had to be formed into
the people of God so then
God came to His people –
They were tested and tried to grow –

Jesus prepared the Apostles to carry
on His work – the Church.

Now God calls us to help in the
Reign of the Sacred Heart and
Triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart –

                Mary promised this at Fatima

When Peter said "You are the Christ,
Son of the Living God" –
                    Jesus praised him

Then when Jesus told Peter He
                    would suffer and die and
                    be put to death
Peter objected – Oh No –

                So Jesus said
                    "Get behind me satan"

                Peter was tempting Jesus.

Luke 9: 23-24

Then, speaking to all, he said, 'If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross every day and follow me. Anyone who wants to save his life will lose it; but anyone who loses his life for my sake, will save it.

                R. We are to ask for forgiveness of our
                    sins –

Jesus teaches us the Eucharist is His
                    Body and Blood –

                Thomas More obeyed God –
                    not the king –
                    He was beheaded –

What profit is it to gain the whole
world and lose your soul –

Jesus teaches us about eternal life
                    through the scriptures –
the priest – the Church –

                Jesus is the Living God.

John 11: 25-26

   I am the resurrection.
   Anyone who believes in me,
even though that person dies, will live,
and whoever lives and believes in me
      will never die.
   Do you believe this?

                R. Resurrection is a new life –
                    a happy life –

                Jesus raised Lazarus from
                    the dead –
this was a sign of greater
                    things to come for all
                    who believe in God –
                    Life beyond the grave –
                        IF we make our choice
                        to follow Jesus –

John 10: 10

I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full.

                R. Fr. Joe said he went to the
                    tomb of Lazarus and it
                    was so moving he could
                    hardly talk about it
                    for 4 years –

John 11: 25-26

   I am the resurrection.
   Anyone who believes in me,
even though that person dies, will live,
and whoever lives and believes in me
      will never die.
   Do you believe this?

Easter April 20, 2014 (excerpt)

HOMILY - ... Personally, my belief in the resurrection of Jesus is my source of strength. I know he is with me in prayer, in the sacraments, in the work that I do, and I know he is with those I love who have moved on to the next life. I hear they now have a movie about the book Heaven is for Real. I read the book a few months ago and enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. It fits in pretty well with other things I've read about near-death experiences.

I wish you all a deep faith in the resurrection of Jesus. It will be a source of strength for you, and I pray all of us one day may enjoy eternity in his kingdom. Amen.

Through Him, With Him, In Him

From Tell My People by Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J.

"What I say to you in the dark, tell in the day-
light; what you hear in whispers, proclaim
from the housetops."
(Matthew 10:27)

Jesus Has Come to Give Us Life

Jesus: "This is the day celebrating My Resurrection (Easter). The day of newness of life. I am Lord and Master. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Tell My people to come to Me if they wish to experience life in abundance. I want to give all an ever greater share in the life of My Resurrection. Without Me you cannot be happy, nor have peace, nor have real joy. Tell My people to surrender to Me more and more. The more they do so, the more they will experience My love, wisdom, power, peace, joy, happiness, mercy, and goodness. Within My Heart My people will find these riches. I am Lord and Master! Please listen to My words."

Reflection: Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus has come to give us life, and to give us this life in abundance.

When we were baptized, we were incorporated into Christ and His Church. When we were baptized, we received the life of sanctifying grace. This life is a created sharing in the life of the Trinity. Truly, we are called to live a God-like existence according to the teaching and example of Jesus! It is our duty and our privilege to develop our life of grace—our Christ-life—through our participation in the Mass, through the reception of the sacraments, through prayer, and through all other good works. Indeed, we are called to love God and neighbor more and more.

What a glorious life has been given to us! In a spirit of thanksgiving, and together with Mary our Mother, let us always strive to know Christ more intimately, to love Him more ardently, and to follow Him more closely, so that He will always bring us to a closer union with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Father, we are profoundly grateful for the life You have given to us through Jesus and in the Holy Spirit. Through the constant intercession of Mary our Mother, we ask for the grace to always be Your worthy sons and daughters.  end of excerpt

                R. God is with us –

                Savior

                Song: A Song from Jesus

                R. We must live according to
                    what is right.

                We are all sinners.

We are to be servants of God!

That's what God wants for us.

                We thank God for
                    saving us and
                    strengthening us,
                    and helping us to be
                    the best we can be.

                Wisdom 6: 12-16 around 100 BC

Wisdom 6: 12-16

Wisdom is brilliant, she never fades. By those who love her, she is readily seen, by those who seek her, she is readily found. She anticipates those who desire her by making herself known first. Whoever gets up early to seek her will have no trouble but will find her sitting at the door. Meditating on her is understanding in its perfect form, and anyone keeping awake for her will soon be free from care. For she herself searches everywhere for those who are worthy of her, benevolently appearing to them on their ways, anticipating their every thought.

                R. A wise person prepares ahead for some event –

                Common truth –

If we seek wisdom it will be found –

Oil is a symbol of good works –

We do not get credit for good works of others –

We are judged on what we did –

Jesus is the Bridegroom of our soul –

We are preparing for eternal life –

                We must be prepared –

We know of the second coming of Jesus –

God has given us this Movement to help us
prepare for the renewal of the Church
                    and the world.

Jesus invites us to the Royal Banquet.

Be watchful – a wise person is always ready.

                Be prepared –

                Repentance

Isaiah 11: 1-10

A shoot will spring
    from the stock of Jesse,
a new shoot will grow from his roots.
On him will rest the spirit of Yahweh,
the spirit of wisdom and insight,
the spirit of counsel and power,
the spirit of knowledge
    and fear of Yahweh:
his inspiration will lie in fearing Yahweh.
His judgement will not be
    by appearances.
his verdict not given on hearsay.
He will judge the weak with integrity
and give fair sentence
for the humblest in the land.
He will strike the country
with the rod of his mouth
and with the breath of his lips
    bring death to the wicked.

Uprightness will be
    the belt around his waist,
and constancy the belt about his hips.

The wolf will live with the lamb,
the panther lie down with the kid,
calf, lion and fat–stock beast together,
with a little boy to lead them.
The cow and the bear will graze,
their young will lie down together.
The lion will eat hay like the ox.
The infant will play
    over the den of the adder;
the baby will put his hand
    into the viper’s lair.
No hurt, no harm will be done
on all my holy mountain,
for the country will be full
    of knowledge of Yahweh
as the waters cover the sea.

That day, the root of Jesse,
standing as a signal for the peoples,
will be sought out by the nations
and its home will be glorious.

2nd Sunday of Advent (excerpt)

December 8, 2013

INTRODUCTION – (Isaiah 11,1-10; Romans 15,4-9; Matthew 3,1-12) The historical setting for today's first reading goes back 700 years before Christ. It was a time of great distress for Israel. The Assyrians had literally annihilated all of the area north of Jerusalem, an area known as the northern kingdom. It was very likely Jerusalem would be the next victim of the Assyrian army. In spite of all this, we hear in today's reading a message of hope - a promise of great blessings to those who have remained faithful to God. A great leader, filled with the Spirit of God, would usher in these blessings. This leader would come from the royal house of David - that is what Isaiah meant when he identifies this leader as "a shoot that would sprout from the stump of Jesse."

Jesse was the father of King David, as I'm sure you all know, and the kingship in Jerusalem was barely surviving as the word "stump" indicates.

HOMILY - ...The most important thing to remember about John is that he was a great prophet. Jesus said of him: "Amen, I say to you, among those born of women no one has arisen greater than John the Baptist." (Mt. 11,11) To conclude what I have to say about John, like most prophets, John was put to death because he offended those in power at the time.

As a prophet, God spoke through John and so the Church chooses today's reading because through them, God is now speaking to us. I think if there is any time in history John's message needs to be heard it is that it needs to be heard by people in today's culture. John's message was to repent, which means to have a change of heart. This means we need to have God first in our lives, not second or third or fourth, but first. When John said "do not say 'We have Abraham for our father,'" John was telling the Jews you can't presume because you are a member of God's chosen people you can do whatever you want without the possibility of any negative consequences. John is telling us, too, that we can't do what we want or make up our own rules just because we carry the name Catholic. It drives me crazy when I see people on the news who engage in outlandish behavior and then say they are Catholic. So what. Does that make their behavior okay? Or the same is true of those who claim "I don't have any religion but I'm a spiritual person," as many do today. Which is their way of saying I can live the way I want, and because I'm "spiritual" it's okay. It's God who makes the rules, not us. John says we, like a tree, must bear good fruit which means we must live a virtuous life and let God's law and God's Spirit guide our lives. It is an important message for Advent. As Christmas draws near, we can have parties and give gifts and send cards and decorate and bake, but as Thomas Merton writes "it's important to remember the deep seriousness of Advent, which should remind us that the King who is to come is more than a charming infant smiling in the straw. The Advent mystery focuses the light of faith upon the very meaning of life, of history, of humanity, of the world and of our own being." (Seasons of Celebration)

John's call to put God first is the same message that came from Jesus. One of the ways we do this is to put him first by giving him an hour of our time at the beginning of the week. Where will our lives of virtue lead us? The answer is right there in the first reading - to a new world, a world led by God's own Spirit, a world where justice will rule and where there will be peace. As we wait for that day to come, we must prepare for it now, John said, by living holy lives. Amen.

                R. Repent for the Kingdom of God is fast approaching –
                    Get ready for something –
                    Prepare – do something.

How are we preparing to meet Christ?

1 Corinthians 13: 1-3

Though I command languages both human and angelic—if I speak without love, I am no more than a gong booming or a cymbal clashing. And though I have the power of prophecy, to penetrate all mysteries and knowledge, and though I have all the faith necessary to move mountains—if I am without love, I am nothing. Though I should give away to the poor all that I possess, and even give up my body to be burned—if I am without love, it will do me no good whatever.

                R. Prepare –

Prepare for the future King - Emmanuel

                    God with us –

God gives us knowledge, fear of the Lord etc.

                    Peace –

God speaks of the lion laying with the lamb.

All will live in harmony on this earth.

                    John the Baptist says SOON
the Kingdom of God is at hand –

John the Baptist is a prophet –
he wore skin of animals –

The Bread of Life is the Word and the
                    Eucharist –

From the pierced Heart of Jesus
                    flowed Blood and water –
                    Water for Baptism
                    Blood for the Eucharist.

                R. Jesus gives us a sharing in His life and
feeds this life with the Bread of life –
In the Gospel we see Jesus fed over 5000.
Then the people wanted to make Jesus King.
Jesus told the people there is more
than free health care and free food.
Do not work for food that perishes –
God wants us to prepare for eternal life!

John 6: 35

        Jesus answered them:

I am the bread of life.
No one who comes to me will ever hunger;
no one who believes in me will ever thirst.

                R. We will have our chance to have a Mass
at our funeral I hope –

                Fr. Joe likes this scripture.

Wisdom 3: 1-9

But the souls of the upright are in the hands of God,
and no torment can touch them.
To the unenlightened, they appeared to die,
their departure was regarded as disaster,
their leaving us like annihilation;
but they are at peace.
If, as it seemed to us, they suffered punishment,
their hope was rich with immortality;
slight was their correction, great will their blessings be.
God was putting them to the test
and has proved them worthy to be with him;
he has tested them like gold in a furnace,
and accepted them as a perfect burnt offering.
At their time of visitation, they will shine out;
as sparks run through the stubble, so will they.
They will judge nations, rule over peoples,
and the Lord will be their king for ever.
Those who trust in him will understand the truth,
those who are faithful will live with him in love;
for grace and mercy await his holy ones,
and he intervenes on behalf of his chosen.

1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18

We want you to be quite certain, brothers, about those who have fallen asleep, to make sure that you do not grieve for them, as others do who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and that in the same way God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. We can tell you this from the Lord’s own teaching, that we who are still alive for the Lord’s coming will not have any advantage over those who have fallen asleep. At the signal given by the voice of the Archangel and the trumpet of God, the Lord himself will come down from heaven; those who have died in Christ will be the first to rise, and only after that shall we who remain alive be taken up in the clouds, together with them, to meet the Lord in the air. This is the way we shall be with the Lord for ever. With such thoughts as these, then, you should encourage one another.

                Jesus says:

I am the way, the truth and
                        the life –

                R. We know we are to prepare and expect
                    to die –

We want to share in His risen life
                    someday –

                We see Jesus died –
                We see Jesus rose.

We know that Jesus had the
                    last supper –
                    He then was tortured,
suffered and put to death –
                    Jesus remained faithful –

Jesus was faithful to His mission of
                    teaching, loving and doing
                    God's will.

                Jesus says:

Don't let your hearts be troubled –

                R. Jesus appeared to the Apostles, when
                    He appeared, Thomas wasn't
                    there.

                Jesus appeared again and said:
"I am the way, the truth and
                        the life" –

We need to pray for each other –
                    We will die someday –
                    Pray we are ready –
God raised Christ from the Dead –
We pray for us to go to heaven –
                    We pray for the world.
                    We go to the Eucharist.
We eat His Body and Blood of Jesus.
We pray to God to hear our
                            prayer –
                        We pray we see God
                            Face-to-face.

We pray for all of us.

God is our shelter and our strength.

The Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary
                    sacramentally made present –

We stand with Mary under the cross
at the Mass by the altar.

We pray for the priests, the Church
                    and the world.

We want to be prepared when
                    we die –

We pray to be ready –

We pray to see Jesus face-to-face.

We want to build the Kingdom of God while
                    we are on earth –

God has a unique plan for us in salvation history.

                We are to prepare and
let God's Kingdom grow in our hearts.

We are to produce fruit for
the building of the Kingdom of God –

We are to work for this –

The Lord wants us to grow, like planting
seeds and help others grow –

We get blessed for our labor, but St. Paul
says we must have love –

God is the Creator and chose us to
                    share in this work –

Jesus was trying to help people in
                    His home town and they
                    got angry because Jesus
was telling them what to do.

Jesus was just a simple carpenter –

God's work is never done –

                Be thankful for work –

Work has been given to us –

We learn from our mistakes –

Every day is a gift to work for Jesus.

Every man is to do his best –

Every man is to do his work
                    with all his strength
                    for God –

                Pray for life

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year (2011/2012)
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Audio CD - Read by Father Edward J. Carter
$ 10.00

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD.Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
