                November 7, 2014

                R. What God commands us to do is to love.

One who is drawn closer and closer to God
must be consumed with wanting to
love God more and to know His love
                    more.

One who is drawn closer and closer to God
is one who is seeking to know God
more, to know love of God, neighbor
                    and self more.

It is God's will we are being formed more
and more in His image and likeness –

As we advance more and more in
the spiritual life, it is our burning
compulsion to love – love God more, know
God's love for us and love our neighbor
                    as ourselves.

We love more what God has created – We see
ourselves as stewards caring for what
God has given to us –

We see the darkness of satan – the darkness
of satan tearing apart at relationships,
the darkness when there is division,
                    where things are destroyed, things
God gave us to love and care for and
to be full of gratitude –

There was a song we used to sing in Church –
For the Beauty of the Earth –

When I see Mary and Jesus appear it is such
beauty – sometimes the light is so
beautiful I cannot even describe it –
                    Light always accompanies an apparition,
but it is not even like the light from
an electric bulb, it is a light – so
                    intense, so different, so . . . I cannot
                    even describe the light –

God created the seen and the unseen –

We see what Jesus said to Thomas
Blessed are they who have not seen –
                    Blessed – He says –

We walk by faith and not by sight –
We are to seek to be as God wants us to
                        be –

Today I know God is calling us to put
                        Him first –

To seek to know how much God loves
us and what that means to
know God's love more and more –

What feels right to me is love –
What feels right to me is unity –
What feels right to me is joy to know I am
in God's care, God's world, God is
the Creator and I am grateful for
all He is, all He gives me, people
He put in my life etc. –

The devil wants division, tearing apart,
                    darkness, fear, destruction, violence –

                God is love –

Jesus is telling us in this Movement of His love
and how much He loves us –
This does not change - ever – no matter
                    what inhumane thing some men
                    are doing to others

God is love – unchanging and with us –

God gives us so much –

It is our duty to love Him –

                God is light –

How pompous of man to ignore God –
How pompous of man to be so ungrateful
when God loves us so much.

We are to love what God has made –

What a gift – God gives us these beautiful
fall days, the sun in Florida,
the ocean with its beauty –
                    the beautiful green hills –
                    and flowers and trees –

                R. He gives us a snow covered hill –
even the beautiful fur trees capped
                    with the winter snow –
He shows us leaves and blossoms
and snow falling in the air
                    before us –
what beauty to be in any of this and

In the mystical lights I saw the golden
veil go across the chapel on
                    August 13, 1996 –

I have seen this veil He places
before me - in visions across
                        the sanctuary –

Do you know that God is truly present
                    in His Divinity and humanity
                    in the tabernacle where many
                    altars are in Church –

And in this setting He has painted the
                    altar and eves with mystical
light and dropped a veil of
                    description - I cannot even
                    describe –

                Have faith –

                    God is with us –
                    The seen and unseen –
If we saw our own graced soul
we would fall on our faces –

We are to be in awe of the Eucharist –

We are to respect our brothers and
                    love them –

The members of the body of Christ should
be deeply united by baptism, by
                    their union in God –

Spreading the Consecration to the Hearts
of Jesus and Mary will strengthen
that unity in the Church among
                    its members –

The more we circulate these messages - the
                    more man understands that we
are to be one in God –

If I am one deeply in Jesus,
If I am one with my Father,
                Living in the Holy Spirit
and you are one with God –
We are one in our hearts –
We are one in Him –
Living in the Sacred Heart of Jesus –
                Life in the Spirit –
Children of God the Father –

We are building, bringing forth fruit
                    for the Kingdom –

                Not tearing down –
                Not darkness –

                    Love never dies –
to learn to live in love –
to learn unity and peace –
                    Not selfishness and fear

John 14: 26

but the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit,
whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you everything
and remind you of all I have said to you.

                R. The Holy Spirit teaches us in our hearts –

                Sing: Veni Sanctus Spiritus

In baptism we receive a sharing in
God's life. Our knowing and loving
                    capacity is elevated.

                Fr. Carter says

"Growth in the Christ-life gives us an
                    increased awareness of our
                    relationships with others.

That is to say, the true Christian
is keenly aware that, to a great
                    degree, God intends each of
                    us to press on toward
maturity in the spiritual life through
                    proper relationships with our
                    fellow human beings."

                Excerpt from June 11, 2008

                    Faith
From Father's Newsletter on the Vision of Faith I quote

"Through faith we share in God’s knowing activity
in a special way, and we are able to know God and
creation in relationship to God in a supernatural,
                           God-like fashion.
If we are to properly progress in the spiritual life,
we must allow this vision of faith to more and more
                           penetrate our activities."

                    Hope
The virtue of trust is extremely important for
                              growth in the spiritual life.

From Response to God's Love I quote

"Christian hope is a virtue that allows us to tend toward God
in Christ as our absolute fulfillment, our absolute future. Hope
allows us to trust that God will grant us the graces necessary to
                           achieve this goal."

                    Humility
Humility is a very important virtue given to us
                              for the spiritual journey.
One of the blocks to the spiritual life, Father said,
                              was lack of humility.

                    Strength in Weakness
We must realize our weakness and see our
                              strength is in Him.

                    Living in the Present Moment
                            I quote from Father

"I suggest that one of the most difficult acts
of self-discipline in the spiritual journey
is to concentrate on the present moment."

This is necessary Father says for growth in the spiritual life.

                    Surrender to God
We must surrender to God. We give ourselves more
                              and more to Jesus.
We are guided through the Church

                    Mind and Heart
We cannot become heartless and too much
                              focused in our minds.

                    The Mystical Life
The mystical life is the relative ultimate development
                              of the spiritual life itself.

Father talks about the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and
                              the life of Consecration.

                    end of excerpt

                November 7, 2014 continues

                R. The Holy Spirit is the fruit of love –

                The Holy Spirit brings union

                God is love
And in Him there is no darkness –

To love and care for all He created
and to be grateful for all He has
                    given us.

One who is knowing God more and more
marvels at the love of God for
                    his children.

Because of knowing God and His love for
us, fear is diminished and trust
                    is increased.

                R. Fr. Carter says

"Made secure in this love, they have
                possessed the courage to undertake
                the ordinary with uncommon devotion
                and the heroic with dominant
                determination. Consumed with
                this love, they have continually
pushed forward to accomplish more for
                Christ and His Kingdom."

                Transformed by love the
                    mystic lives what St. Paul
                    told us

Galatians 2: 19-20

...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

                R. We can never understand here the
depth of God's love for us –
We can never understand it and
yet the infinitude of His love is real –
Is for us to seek –

We have been commanded to love God
first – with our whole heart,
our whole soul and our whole
being and love our neighbor as
                    ourselves!

Jesus shows us His Heart as a constant
                    reminder of His unfathomable
                    love for us!

                God loves us so much!

We are to respond with love to God –

                Response to God's Love!!

                Response in Christ!!

Christ tells us about the treasures of
                    His Heart –

                From Tell My People

How Much I Love You!

Jesus: "My beloved priest-companion, how often I tell you how much I love you! And what great joy and peace I give you when I tell you this! How often I press you closely to My Heart! Daily I draw you ever more deeply within My Heart! There I allow you to experience the overwhelming riches of My Heart. I have shown you, as you dwell within My Heart, the secret of finding amazing peace, joy, and happiness. I have shown you that to dwell within My Heart is to experience a foretaste of Heaven!

"I allow you to dwell so deeply within My Heart because I have given you the gift of dwelling within My Mother's Heart. The more one dwells within Mary's Immaculate Heart, the more she places that person within My Sacred Heart.

"My beloved friend, keep telling My people about all the wondrous riches contained in Our Hearts! Keep reminding them that they live in the age of the Two Hearts. Keep telling them that the quickest and most secure path to the highest sanctity is to dwell within Mary's Heart and My Heart!

"I am Lord and Master. I plead with My people to listen to My words and to live them! I love My people with a tremendous love, and in this love I give them this message."

Reflection: Jesus again begs us to come and experience the riches contained in His Heart and Mary's Heart. How foolish we are if we fail to accept His invitation! How many pursue the false riches of this world, and refuse the true riches which Jesus offers. We must determine each day, with God's help, not to be included among those who reject the riches which Jesus offers in order to pursue the false promises of happiness which the world holds before us. The world can't give us happiness. Jesus can.

Prayer: Jesus, we desire to be united to Your Heart and to Mary’s Heart ever more closely. Allow us to overcome the obstacles which prevent us from doing so. We ask you to take our petition to the Father in the Holy Spirit.

end of excerpts

                R. Christ shows us His Heart as a Symbol
                    of His love –

                The devil is hate –

The devil doesn't even want anything
about the Sacred Heart to be discussed
                    or out there –

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994

                Song: A Song from Jesus

                R. The secret to the spiritual life
is living God's will in love –
putting one's will in the will of God

Seeking God's will before all else and
this conformity to God's will, will
bring us in the arms of His
                    infinite love –
Closer in our love relationship with Him –

If the world gives you lemons –
                    make lemonade!

To have happiness – we must be able to
                    control ourselves!
We must be able to control our actions.

We have a free will –
We have been given our reasoning –
                    we want "right-thinking"

                We must seek "pure happiness"
                                    "perfect happiness" –

This means we seek to do God's will –
                    We control ourselves –
We have a free will and want our
habits to be good habits of
                        faith, hope, love, humility,
                        prudence, temperance –

                We discipline our will –

We have a free will and we seek
                    "right-thinking" rooted in God's
                    will for us –

We don't let our passions and desires
                    to taint our thinking because
we want our tainted will over
                    God's will –

                R. On Pentecost we say this Sequence.

From the Lectionary

                        Pentecost Sequence

Come, Holy Spirit, come!
And from your celestial home
Shed a ray of light divine!

Come, Father of the poor!
Come, source of all our store!
    Come, within our bosoms shine!

You, of comforters the best;
You, the soul's most welcome guest;
    Sweet refreshment here below;

In our Labor, rest most sweet;
Grateful coolness in the heat;
Solace in the midst of woe.

O most blessed Light divine,
Shine within these hearts of yours,
    And our inmost being fill!

Where you are not, man has naught,
Nothing good in deed or thought,
Nothing free from taint of ill!

Heal our wounds, our strength renew;
On our dryness pour your dew;
    Wash the stains of guilt away;

Bend the stubborn heart and will;
Melt the frozen, warm the chill;
Guide the steps that go astray.

On the faithful, who adore
And confess you, evermore
    In your sev'nfold gift descend;

Give them virtue's sure reward;
Give them your salvation, Lord;
Give them joys that never end. Amen.
Alleluia.

                Sing: Veni Sanctus Spiritus

                R. God has given us a soul –

We seek to live by what God wants of
                    us –

We don't give into the body, that wants,
many times to seek comfort –
                                        pleasure –
                                        dominance –
                                        food –
                                        power

We live in a material world –

We must seek what God wants for us.

The passions in man can effect his
reason and will if he does
                    not control them –

We can have passions that can move
us to good or evil –

A passion of anger or rage –
A passion or desire for over affection –
A passion to be over (for power)
                    (seek dominance for dominance sake)

St. Ignatius tells us about letting go
                    of inordinate attachments –

Excerpt of The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, by Louis J. Puhl, S.J.

136. THE FOURTH DAY - A MEDITATION ON TWO STANDARDS (excerpt)

142. THIRD POINT.   Consider the address he makes to them, how he goads them on to lay snares for men and bind them with chains. First they are to tempt them to covet riches (as Satan himself is accustomed to do in most cases) that they may the more easily attain the empty honors of this world, and then come to overweening pride.

The first step, then, will be riches, the second honor, the third pride. From these three steps the evil one leads to all other vices.

end of excerpt

                R. There are emotional drives within men.

We have sense appetites that must
be controlled according to God's will.

Even choosing to eat what our body
needs to be a healthy body is
an act of the will, if the healthy
food is available and we choose
to not eat or to eat something
that - if we over indulge –
hurts the health of the body.

                Controlling oneself – sexually –

                Controlling oneself and over indulgence
                    can come in many inordinate
                    attachments –
                    addiction to gambling,
                    and other addictions –
                    power, pride, being first,
                    being right, being selfish,
                    not working with others and
putting it first so we can do our
                    own thing –

We can just keep eating for comfort or
anxiety – eating too much –
                    eating too little –

                Fr. Carter always told me
                    doing it just right –
                    according to God's will –
not too much – not too little of
                        a thing –

A thing can be good in itself and we
                    can use it or
be with a person – if it is God's will –
                        2 hours –
but to be possessive – to try to force
someone to stay with us by
                        setting a trap, making something
wrong – they have to address and
                        fix - can be evil!

Control for Control sake is evil –

                Seeking authority over just authority
given to us – to be over is
                    wrong –

Any form of manipulation to hurt
another and tie them up, to
                    possess them –
                    is wrong

We have a free will and we can
                    use right-reasoning to do
                    God's will in love –

                Loving God first –
                Loving others as ourselves –

Loving God deeply with our whole
                    heart, our whole soul, our
                    whole being.

Some people are addicted to excitement –
                    they aren't doing, really, what
God wants of them, they get
                    bored and then make trouble
for someone else so there is confusion
                    and excitement –

How can somebody - do this to God who
                    is so good to us?

Loving God is wanting His will –
Loving God is wanting to please God –

                Loving God is controlling one's
                    unruly bad habits and moving
more and more to the virtuous life –

We cannot get these statues any more –
the men making them were from
Portugal and no longer do so

We will have a limited number
until they are gone –

These statues are a treasure, a work of art

At the end of this message are healings
from statues and the Jesus
and Mary waters –
