Dear God —

Father, Son and Holy Spirit —

                I know You in me

More and more, the Holy Spirit guides
me, counsels me, fills me with
                    love —

                Oh precious God —

You are real and I know Your presence
                    deep within me

Song: Your Presence Pervades My Soul

I go to the Eucharist and You oh God love
me so much to fill me —

                I am not empty —

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit live in my
                    graced soul —

                I know God in me

Oh Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, why
do so few souls recognize Your
gifts — Your love given to us in
                    the Eucharist

Oh mystery of mysteries — oh fill me
Holy Spirit to reach out to know You —
Oh Holy Spirit to see beyond the mud caked
eyes into the clearness of Your vision —
to reach so far for Your vision

To be penetrated with the desire for greater
grasp of the mystery of Your love —

Oh Holy Spirit — I love You - so very much —

Oh nights of darkness can move in, but
not to one seeing with eyes of love
of God — knowing Him within my
                        graced baptized soul

                    I am thirsty for You

Like a dry and dreary desert land
I seek to be filled with Your
                        unquenchable grace

Oh I see beyond the magnificent
light You give — I see the reality of
You my God — depth and reality — love
                and unquenchable thirst —

                    hoping and reaching for You
                    waging lips when the Divine
Almighty God comes to us in
                    communion and fills us
waging lips, mud clogged eyes —
                    open my heart God —
                    set me free —
Let Your light fill me with knowledge
and love more and more for you

So here we are and we seek to be quenched
by You and the distracting voices of
others pierce our silence and get in
the struggle, You are still filling my
                    soul —

In the death there is the resurrection

There is mystery in His Word

Filling me with the gift of knowing
                    Him — knowing truth deeper
                    and deeper

Sing: Prayer for Union with Jesus

Song: Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart. (refrain)

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart. (refrain)

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart. (refrain)

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart. (refrain)

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart. (refrain)

Ezekiel 34: 11-12, 15-17

“For the Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I myself shall take care of my flock and look after it. As a shepherd looks after his flock when he is with his scattered sheep, so shall I look after my sheep. I shall rescue them from wherever they have been scattered on the day of clouds and darkness.

I myself shall pasture my sheep, I myself shall give them rest–declares the Lord Yahweh. I shall look for the lost one, bring back the stray, bandage the injured and make the sick strong. I shall watch over the fat and healthy. I shall be a true shepherd to them."

"As for you, my sheep, the Lord Yahweh says this: I shall judge between sheep and sheep, between rams and he-goats.

1 Corinthians 15: 20-26, 28

In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet.

When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

Matthew 25: 31-46

‘When the Son of man comes in his glory, escorted by all the angels, then he will take his seat on his throne of glory. All nations will be assembled before him and he will separate people one from another as the shepherd separates sheep from goats. He will place the sheep on his right hand and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right hand, "Come, you whom my Father has blessed, take as your heritage the kingdom prepared for you since the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you made me welcome, lacking clothes and you clothed me, sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me." Then the upright will say to him in reply, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and make you welcome, lacking clothes and clothe you? When did we find you sick or in prison and go to see you?" And the King will answer, "In truth I tell you, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me." Then he will say to those on his left hand, "Go away from me, with your curse upon you, to the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you never gave me food, I was thirsty and you never gave me anything to drink, I was a stranger and you never made me welcome, lacking clothes and you never clothed me, sick and in prison and you never visited me." Then it will be their turn to ask, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty, a stranger or lacking clothes, sick or in prison, and did not come to your help?" Then he will answer, "In truth I tell you, in so far as you neglected to do this to one of the least of these, you neglected to do it to me." And they will go away to eternal punishment, and the upright to eternal life.’

I love You God with all my heart —

I long for Your presence after communion

My heart is quieted before You — in
                    the Church where you are
                    truly present

Men may seek vain glory — use waging
tongues — discount Your law —
Oh God - Your law is my
                    delight

To hear Your Word is my delight

                To follow Your precepts

                To preach of Your faithfulness

Men may reach for their wisdom, found
                    in hollow towers

Truth is found in the commandments,
Your Word, in the Church —

We do not have to be afraid — Your
truth is in these and we know
You no matter how far man has
                    STRAYED

I hold within me Your truth like
a precious gem — holding it
                    like treasure

                Your kindness I know

I thank You Lord - forever

And I sing the songs You call me
to sing — the songs of reparation
                    and love

Oh God, it is Your due to praise You and
love You and want to spend time
                    with You

Oh that men who want high spots would
see that You were honored and in
                    the high spot

But they (many) seek vain glory —
                    want power —
                    want recognition —
want others to bow to them —

Even after all Your wonderful works —
God they compete with You wanting
                    the high spot for themselves

Let us pray to the Holy Spirit to fill
us to carry the fire of God's message
                    to others

                Pouty children are that
                    self-focused —
                    drawing energy from others —
                    like an empty hole —
                    wanting to drain others —

But You God died selflessly — giving
                    us the commission in baptism
to go out and spread the Good News

Psalm 80: 12-13, 16

Why have you broken down its fences?
Every passer–by plucks its grapes,
boars from the forest tear at it,
wild beasts feed on it.

They have thrown it on the fire like dung,
the frown of your rebuke will destroy them.

                Bless us God

Who are we that You have given to us so
many good things and we respond
                    with ingratitude
We hang our heads in shame and
                        we could give to You

Our vocation is to give to others —

We have taken Your treasures and hid
them under the bush and it was
                    not Your will —
when You blessed us and told us to
pray and be of a happy joyous
heart for Your gifts given to
                        us

We may think being by ourselves and in control
                    is the answer —

When being this way leads to isolation and
Your way — although not easy is
to love — unite be one

Look at the man who says — I will
run my ship — ALONE —

                He had total control,

But the Master wanted a strong unit —
one of power — which sailed the sea
                    with grace and wisdom —
one that others would look up to and

He insisted on his archaic ways —
being by himself — like a clumsy
duck in the torrential waters —

No one looked up to him except to say —
we don't want our ship to look
                    like that man —

But he thought freedom was in this —
selfish — control — relying on his
                    own might and archaic ways

Ships can sail so smooth, but they
work better when they have a fleet —

Jesus:  Oh blind men - you see with your selfish
                    eyes —
the joy is in living according to the Father's
                        plan —

Being a body — rooted in God
I am the head of the body —

The guy who says — I do it my way, by
myself and I don't work with
                        others —

                    What challenge is that?

He is planted like a pole in cement —

The Church is built with living stone and
                        Christ the cornerstone —

                    You lack wisdom

Satan is the commander of hell

                        there is NO UNION there
                                    NO LOVE there
                                    NO JOY and laughing there

You are here to learn to be one —

                        Be one in God

                    From the Holy Spirit Novena

Prayer to Dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary

We seek to be one in God, to live and dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, our little heaven on earth, to experience life in the all perfect, pure, sinless heart of our Mother. We want the Holy Spirit to move in us and to be united to Jesus as the Bridegroom of our souls and be a most perfect sacrifice offered to the Father at every moment as we unite in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass around the world to help in the salvation of souls.

1 Corinthians 3: 9c-11, 16-17

you are God’s farm, God’s building.

By the grace of God which was given to me, I laid the foundations like a trained master–builder, and someone else is building on them. Now each one must be careful how he does the building. For nobody can lay down any other foundation than the one which is there already, namely Jesus Christ.

Do you not realise that you are a temple of God with the Spirit of God living in you? If anybody should destroy the temple of God, God will destroy that person, because God’s temple is holy; and you are that temple.

Psalm 46: 2-3, 5-6, 8-9

so we shall not be afraid though the earth be in turmoil,
though mountains tumble into the depths of the sea,

and its waters roar and seethe,
and the mountains totter as it heaves.

(Yahweh Sabaoth is with us,
our citadel, the God of Jacob.)
Pause

God is in the city, it cannot fall;
at break of day God comes to its rescue.
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms are tumbling,
when he raises his voice the earth crumbles away.

Come, consider the wonders of Yahweh,
the astounding deeds he has done on the earth:
he puts an end to wars over the whole wide world,
he breaks the bow, he snaps the spear,
shields he burns in the fire.

Ezekiel 47: 1-2, 8-9, 12

He brought me back to the entrance of the Temple, where a stream flowed eastwards from under the Temple threshold, for the Temple faced east. The water flowed from under the right side of the Temple, south of the altar. He took me out by the north gate and led me right round outside as far as the outer east gate where the water flowed out on the right–hand side.

He said, ‘This water flows east down to the Arabah and to the sea; and flowing into the sea it makes its waters wholesome. Wherever the river flows, all living creatures teeming in it will live. Fish will be very plentiful, for wherever the water goes it brings health, and life teems wherever the river flows.

Along the river, on either bank, will grow every kind of fruit tree with leaves that never wither and fruit that never fails; they will bear new fruit every month, because this water comes from the sanctuary. And their fruit will be good to eat and the leaves medicinal.’

John 2: 13-22

When the time of the Jewish Passover was near Jesus went up to Jerusalem, and in the Temple he found people selling cattle and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting there. Making a whip out of cord, he drove them all out of the Temple, sheep and cattle as well, scattered the money changers' coins, knocked their tables over and said to the dove sellers, 'Take all this out of here and stop using my Father's house as a market.' Then his disciples remembered the words of scripture: I am eaten up with zeal for your house. The Jews intervened and said, 'What sign can you show us that you should act like this?' Jesus answered, ‘Destroy this Temple, and in three days I will raise it up.’ The Jews replied, ‘It has taken forty-six years to build this Temple: are you going to raise it up again in three days?’ But he was speaking of the Temple that was his body, and when Jesus rose from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the scripture and what he had said.

                R. God has called us to follow Him —

To teach the world His ways of unity and love

To be a body united in Him

                God is the head

We baptized Catholics are the members of His body, the Church.

1 Thessalonians 5: 1-6

About times and dates, brothers, there is no need to write to you for you are well aware in any case that the Day of the Lord is going to come like a thief in the night. It is when people are saying, ‘How quiet and peaceful it is’ that sudden destruction falls on them, as suddenly as labour pains come on a pregnant woman; and there is no escape.

But you, brothers, do not live in the dark, that the Day should take you unawares like a thief. No, you are all children of light and children of the day: we do not belong to the night or to darkness, so we should not go on sleeping, as everyone else does, but stay wide awake and sober.

Matthew 25: 14-30

‘It is like a man about to go abroad who summoned his servants and entrusted his property to them. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to a third one, each in proportion to his ability. Then he set out on his journey. The man who had received the five talents promptly went and traded with them and made five more. The man who had received two made two more in the same way. But the man who had received one went off and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money. Now a long time afterwards, the master of those servants came back and went through his accounts with them. The man who had received the five talents came forward bringing five more. "Sir," he said, "you entrusted me with five talents; here are five more that I have made." His master said to him, "Well done, good and trustworthy servant; you have shown you are trustworthy in small things; I will trust you with greater; come and join in your master’s happiness." Next the man with the two talents came forward. "Sir," he said, "you entrusted me with two talents; here are two more that I have made." His master said to him, "Well done, good and trustworthy servant; you have shown you are trustworthy in small things; I will trust you with greater; come and join in your master’s happiness." Last came forward the man who had the single talent. "Sir," said he, "I had heard you were a hard man, reaping where you had not sown and gathering where you had not scattered; so I was afraid, and I went off and hid your talent in the ground. Here it is; it was yours, you have it back." But his master answered him, "You wicked and lazy servant! So you knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered? Well then, you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have got my money back with interest. So now, take the talent from him and give it to the man who has the ten talents. For to everyone who has will be given more, and he will have more than enough; but anyone who has not, will be deprived even of what he has. As for this good–for–nothing servant, throw him into the darkness outside, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth."

Psalm 118: 22

The stone which the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;

                What flows from God's house
                    is life giving.

Ezekiel 47: 1-2, 8-9, 12

He brought me back to the entrance of the Temple, where a stream flowed eastwards from under the Temple threshold, for the Temple faced east. The water flowed from under the right side of the Temple, south of the altar.                 Jesus:

                    You are living stones

Do not be like the Dead Sea.

Psalm 118: 2-4, 13-15, 22-24

Let the House of Israel say,
‘His faithful love endures for ever.’
Let the House of Aaron say,
‘His faithful love endures for ever.’
Let those who fear Yahweh say,
‘His faithful love endures for ever.’

I was pushed hard, to make me fall,
but Yahweh came to my help.
Yahweh is my strength and my song,
he has been my Saviour.

Shouts of joy and salvation,
in the tents of the upright,
‘Yahweh’s right hand is triumphant,

The stone which the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
This is Yahweh’s doing,
and we marvel at it.
This is the day which Yahweh has made,
a day for us to rejoice and be glad.

1 Peter 1: 3-9

Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in his great mercy has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into a heritage that can never be spoilt or soiled and never fade away. It is reserved in heaven for you who are being kept safe by God’s power through faith until the salvation which has been prepared is revealed at the final point of time.

This is a great joy to you, even though for a short time yet you must bear all sorts of trials; so that the worth of your faith, more valuable than gold, which is perishable even if it has been tested by fire, may be proved—to your praise and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed. You have not seen him, yet you love him; and still without seeing him you believe in him and so are already filled with a joy so glorious that it cannot be described; and you are sure of the goal of your faith, that is, the salvation of your souls.

John 20: 27

Then he spoke to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put it into my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.’

1 Corinthians 3: 9c-11, 16-17

                R. We are praying united in the Church

                God is in the building,

But we are worshipping in love

We are a community in that Church praying in love.

The Church is more than the building —

We are the community of love —

We are not to be singles, but united together
                    as one

                "We are God's building"

                We make one community —

Not a bunch of single people — but
                    praying as a body —

We are all members of the body of Christ
we need to be united in prayer and
                    working together.

Psalm 51: 3-6, 12-15

For I am well aware of my offences,
my sin is constantly in mind.
Against you, you alone, I have sinned,
I have done what you see to be wrong,

that you may show your saving justice when you pass sentence,
and your victory may appear when you give judgement,
remember, I was born guilty,
a sinner from the moment of conception.

But you delight in sincerity of heart,
and in secret you teach me wisdom.

Give me back the joy of your salvation,
sustain in me a generous spirit.
I shall teach the wicked your paths,
and sinners will return to you.

Deliver me from bloodshed, God, God of my salvation,
and my tongue will acclaim your saving justice.
Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will speak out your praise.

Romans 5: 12-19

Well then; it was through one man that sin came into the world, and through sin death, and thus death has spread through the whole human race because everyone has sinned. Sin already existed in the world before there was any law, even though sin is not reckoned when there is no law. Nonetheless death reigned over all from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sin was not the breaking of a commandment, as Adam's was. He prefigured the One who was to come . . .

There is no comparison between the free gift and the offence. If death came to many through the offence of one man, how much greater an effect the grace of God has had, coming to so many and so plentifully as a free gift through the one man Jesus Christ! Again, there is no comparison between the gift and the offence of one man. One single offence brought condemnation, but now, after many offences, have come the free gift and so acquittal! It was by one man’s offence that death came to reign over all, but how much greater the reign in life of those who receive the fullness of grace and the gift of saving justice, through the one man, Jesus Christ. One man’s offence brought condemnation on all humanity; and one man’s good act has brought justification and life to all humanity. Just as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by one man’s obedience are many to be made upright.

2 Corinthians 5: 20 - 6: 2

So we are ambassadors for Christ; it is as though God were urging you through us, and in the name of Christ we appeal to you to be reconciled to God. For our sake he made the sinless one a victim for sin, so that in him we might become the uprightness of God.

As his fellow-workers, we urge you not to let your acceptance of his grace come to nothing. As he said, 'At the time of my favour I have answered you; on the day of salvation I have helped you'; well, now is the real time of favour, now the day of salvation is here.

                CALL - RESPONSE

Nicene Creed

We believe in one God,
     the Father, the Almighty,

     maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
     the only Son of God,
     eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,

     true God from true God,
begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
        he came down from heaven:

by the power of the Holy Spirit
he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

     For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered, died, and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
           in fulfillment of the Scriptures;
        he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
