Prayer for Grace for our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

Please help me. Please help me.
I AM Mary your Mother.

Messenger: These pictures were taken after the 6:20 prayers during the rosary on May 5, 2001 as all the people stood beneath Mary. The change was vividly apparent. This is only a sample of the show that we saw as Jesus appeared in the lower 2 left panels. The window ended with a deep gold tone as seen in the pictures.

Matthew 18: 12-14

‘Tell me. Suppose a man has a hundred sheep and one of them strays; will he not leave the ninety–nine on the hillside and go in search of the stray? In truth I tell you, if he finds it, it gives him more joy than do the ninety–nine that did not stray at all. Similarly, it is never the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost.

Sing: Prepare a Highway for God

                R. Crooked ways - made straight –

                Satan weaves crooked ways –

                Satan twists the truth –

                Satan becomes brazen if he
                    gets away with it!!

                We must do reparation for
                    our sins –

                Do penance for our offenses
                    against God –

                Sing: Proclaim the Joyful Message

                Valleys are filled with penance
                fill your hearts –

God wants salvation for all –

God loves us so much –
                even those who are
                lost sheep –
captives to their own sin –

                    The mountains will be made
low – the valleys raised –
We have struggles in our lives
                we have to climb

Many ways that we have to
                work in difficult paths –
                some people think with
                twisted reasoning –

                We must offer up sufferings
                for grace, penance for
                our sins –

                God is all powerful –

                No matter what the mountain
                    we climb –
He will help us if we
surrender and turn to Him –

                We praise God
                We love God
                We adore God

                At His birth the angels
                sang Glory to God!!

                Christmas should bring us
                    joy and peace –

                Song: A Song from Jesus

                R. Jesus is our Savior –

                Sing: Yahweh You are Mine

Yahweh's love will last forever –

Isaiah 41: 13-20

For I, Yahweh, your God, I grasp you by your right hand; I tell you, 'Do not be afraid, I shall help you.' Do not be afraid, Jacob, you worm! You little handful of Israel! I shall help you, declares Yahweh; your redeemer is the Holy One of Israel. Look, I am making you into a threshing-sledge, new, with double teeth; you will thresh and beat the mountains to dust and reduce the hills to straw. You will winnow them and the wind will carry them off, the gale will scatter them; whereas you will rejoice in Yahweh, will glory in the Holy One of Israel. The oppressed and needy search for water, and there is none, their tongue is parched with thirst. I, Yahweh, shall answer them, I, the God of Israel, shall not abandon them. I shall open up rivers on barren heights and water-holes down in the ravines; I shall turn the desert into a lake and dry ground into springs of water. I shall plant the desert with cedar trees, acacias, myrtles and olives; in the wastelands I shall put cypress trees, plane trees and box trees side by side; so that people may see and know, so that they may all observe and understand that the hand of Yahweh has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.

                Sing: On Jordan's Bank

Isaiah 48: 17-19

Thus says Yahweh, your redeemer,
    the Holy One of Israel:
I am Yahweh your God
and teach you for your own good,
I lead you in the way you ought to go.
If only you had listened
    to my commandments!
Your prosperity would have been
    like a river
and your saving justice
like the waves of the sea.
Your descendants would have been
    numbered like the sand,
your offspring as many as its grains.
Their name would never be cancelled
or blotted out from my presence.

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.   end of Mary's Message

December 19, 1996

Mary: My dear children, I give to you, my Son, Jesus, born in a stable in Bethlehem on Christmas morn. He is the Almighty God, the Light of the World.

I appear to you, my children, on a (former) bank in Florida. You have made money your god! Do you know how cold are your hearts? You turn away from my Son, Jesus, for your money. Your money is your god.

I am Mary, your Mother. I do not appear as I once appeared to you. I am asking you today to circulate my message given on a tape on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, December 12, 1996. Please circulate this tape now. Give it to as many people as you can. I am Mary, your Mother. Please circulate my Rosary Book.  end of December 19, 1996

Mary: What makes a person do
                something wrong and then
                rather hide from the truth
to prove they are right –

                Why would being disobedient
                to God, angry, miserable
                be more appealing than
                peace and love and unity
                and obedience to God –
                joy in one's heart?

                First comes the sin –
                then the denial

                Satan wants people to
                hold out saying they are
                right – when they are
                wrong –
                then the pouting –
                holding out in anger and
                lies –

Not living by the truth –
                not being humble, but
                prideful, arrogant and
                lying – leaving the
                party doing this like
                a whipped dog in a
                boxing ring because
                satan tempted them
                and they served satan
                rather than being obedient
                to God –

Did you ever see an adult
                pout and want attention –
                This is satan tempting
                them and they aren't
                maturing in the spiritual
                life because of a stubborn
                will – they are trapped
                in satan's lire – serving
                him willingly –
                while satan is laughing at
                them –
being a victim of satan rather
                than a victor of God's –
Being a servant of satan –
                enslaved to him –
                captives of satan –

                Freedom is in doing
                    God's will in love

  Mary:
Is this man
Free?

                IS a man held
                captive free?

                What does the Babylonian
                    captivity teach you
                    about
                    Disobedience –

My children - tell the truth –
                    serve Jesus –
                    don't hold on to anger
                    like a pouting, arrogant child!!

                DISobedience
                anger
                pouting
                hatred

Mary: A man that is free
                    can do the job
                    and be focused
                    on it and God.

  This person is
    not focused
    on the job
    at hand.

                R. We thank God for sending His Son to Us.

We pray God's vineyard will grow!
We pray for our government and those in office.
We pray for people to open their hearts.
We pray for the souls on the edge of death.

The people were in exile, but we see
hope in the Isaiah readings –
God will not abandon us – we
can turn from sin and serve Him –
We punish ourselves by sinning –
living in lies and darkness –
We must live by what God wants
us to do to be happy –
We are sinners but we ask for
                        forgiveness and recovery –
We are to be servants of God.
We thank God for saving us,
                        strengthening us –
helping us to be the best we
                        can be –

Pray for the grace we need most.
Pray to do God's will in love –
                Pray to surrender to God!!

We pray to be open to God's
                    marriage of love to us.

We are called and we respond to
                    the call –
                    Don't shut down.

                R.  Response to God's Love
                Response in Christ

                God is Divinely just –

God wants us to be just,
                    obedient, loving –
                    living according to the
                    Father's will as His little
                    child –

What God asks of us is to
love as the Father wants –

                Mary was humble –

                Mary was carrying the
                    Son of God
                    and she went to visit
                    Elizabeth

                We pray for our welcoming
                    those who visit our centers
                    and being hospitable –

                Christ came a baby –

The person holding out in anger,
                    having attachments and
                    holding onto it is
                    NOT FREE to even
                    do what they are
                    supposed to do for
                    God –

                They have all this energy
                    sometimes to punish
                    and hurt others, but
                    can't give to others or
respond in love to God or
                    others

NOT FREE

ENSLAVED

God calls us to service –
Mary was filled with joy –
                Elizabeth had such joy –

                Luke is the Gospel of
                    joy in Cycle C –

                Elizabeth was filled with
                    the Holy Spirit –

                Elizabeth knew Mary was
                    the Mother of God (Prophetic)

1st Sunday of Advent

December 2, 2012

INTRODUCTION – (Jeremiah 33:14-16; 1 Thess. 3:12-4:2; Luke 21:25-28, 34-36) The prophet, Jeremiah, lived during the most devastating time in the history of Israel. He witnessed the Babylonian invasion which brought with it the destruction of Jerusalem and its sacred Temple that had been built by King Solomon. He saw many of his fellow citizens enslaved and taken into exile. Yet his words reflect hope and not despair. His hope is based not on human capabilities but on God’s faithfulness to God’s promises made to God’s people, promises made over 400 years earlier - during the reign of King David. God would bring to the throne a family member of the House of David, a just shoot, who would bring peace and security to Jerusalem. We still wait for peace and security - not only in Jerusalem but all over the world. The promised one from David’s line has begun his reign. The gospel tells us one day he will come in great glory to complete his work and to establish the kingdom of God forever.

2nd Sunday of Advent

December 9, 2012

INTRODUCTION – (Baruch 5:1-9; Philippians 1:4-6, 8-11; Luke 3:1-6) In today’s first reading, we hear from Baruch, the secretary of Jeremiah the prophet. He lived during the Babylonian exile over 500 years before Christ. Our first reading has the Babylonian invasion and destruction of Jerusalem as its background. Baruch speaks to the devastated city of Jerusalem and tells it to rejoice for it will prosper again. With the vision of a prophet, he tells Jerusalem to look east (toward Babylon) and see God gathering his people together to bring them back home. It is indeed a message of hope. This return of the exiles to Jerusalem is also poetically described in the Book of the prophet Isaiah. John the Baptist, who was sent to prepare the way for the Messiah, borrows from Isaiah to describe his own mission.

3rd Sunday of Advent

December 16, 2012

INTRODUCTION – (Zephaniah 3:14-18a; Philippians 4:4-7; Luke 3:10-18) Our theme for today, as it often is, is summed up in the Psalm refrain: “Cry out with joy and gladness, for among you is the great and holy one of Israel.” Our first reading from the prophet Zephaniah goes back about 700 years before Christ. The  Assyrians were the dominant force in the Middle East at that time. They were an unusually warlike, brutal people. Their capital city was in northern Iraq near modern day Mosul. Our first reading comes from a time shortly after the Assyrians annihilated the northern part of Israel. They brought severe suffering upon the southern part of Israel too, the area around Jerusalem, but they did not conquer it. Jerusalem would still be around for another  130 years until the Babylonians conquered it. Yet in spite of the pain the Assyrians inflicted upon Jerusalem, the people did not learn from the prophets that they needed to obey God in order to prosper. Idolatry and immorality were rampant among the people of Jerusalem. For example, the king of Judah offered his own son as a human sacrifice to the pagan gods of the Canaanites. Most of what is written in the Book of Zephaniah records his efforts to correct abuses among God’s people. Today we hear only the last part of the Book of Zephaniah as the prophet addresses those who are faithful to God. He tells them to rejoice and assures them God will rejoice and sing too because of his love for them and for all the blessings that will be theirs. Imagine how beautiful it would be to hear God singing.

There is something we should be aware of when we hear the second reading too. St. Paul is sitting in prison somewhere when he wrote this, and prisons in those days were really bad. Today’s prisons would look like a five star hotel by comparison. Yet, even as he sits in prison, Paul can be joyful and he is able to encourage the Philippians to have no anxiety and to rejoice always.

4th Sunday of Advent

December 23, 2012

INTRODUCTION: (Micah 5, 1-4a; Hebrews 10, 5-10; Luke 1, 39-45) In today's first reading the prophet Micah is speaking words of hope to God's people in Jerusalem during an attack by the Assyrians about 700 years before Christ. He promises salvation would come, and it would come out of an unimportant little village about seven miles south of Jerusalem named Bethlehem. Bethlehem had been the birthplace of King David 300 years before the prophet Micah. The greatness of the savior to come would reach to the ends of the earth. When the Magi came to Jerusalem looking for the newborn king of the Jews, 700 years later, this was the Scripture passage that guided them to where Jesus was. What an amazing prophecy; what an amazing way in which God fulfilled it!

                R. Doing God's will, not just
                    talking about it.

Mary teaches us about the heart.

                Her Immaculate Heart is sinless.

                Mary is the perfect handmaid
                    of God –

Mary always said "yes" to God.

Mary always did the will of God.

Mary teaches us to love the will
of God and to serve Him –

                Mary teaches us about obedience
                    to authority designated
                    by God.

                Mary teaches us about the
                    4th Commandment.

                What is important is not
                what men think, but
                what God thinks –

Doing God's Plan with love in
                    our heart is what God
                    expects of us –
                      - Giving God what He
                        wants like obedient
                        children –

                    Jesus came a little boy

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

                Sing: Hail Mary Gentle Woman

                R. God has all the power

                Nobody has power over God!!

                Mary was conceived without
sin. Mary is our Mother –
                    Mary is our model!

Adam and Eve came into the world
                    without sin –
They were jealous of God –
                        envious of God
                        because God told them
                        they could not eat of
                        the tree. They disobeyed
                        God – they wanted power.

They really were slaves of satan.

We were born into a sinful
                    race because Adam and
                    Eve sinned. They wanted
                    power!!

Mary always said "yes" to God.

                Mary said:
"I am the Handmaid of the
                        Lord."

We receive a sharing in God's
                    life in baptism –
We are given God's grace –
We can say "yes" to God.

                    Adam and Eve said
                        "We will not serve"

                    Adam and Eve said
                        "No" to God.

                Mary is our Queen –

Pure gift God the Father says –

Mary is Queen of heaven and earth –

                R. Mary is our model

Holy Mary, pray for us –

Mary please be the Queen of
                    our hearts –

                Mary we love you.

Mary, Holy Virgin, pray for us.

Tower of David, pray for us.

                Mary, Queen of our hearts,
                    help us, pray for us.

                Thanks for being our Mother!!

God is all holy, the font of all holiness.

Jesus teaches us about giving –
Jesus gives us His Body and Blood –

                God is love

                Jesus loves us so much.

                R. Jesus teaches us about love,
                    purity, about giving
                    and kindness –

Jesus is the Light of the world.
                Jesus teaches us about walking
                    in the Light –

Jesus shows us how He lived
                    in a family with Mary
                    and Joseph even though
                    He was God –

                Jesus shows us how He
                    taught 12 Apostles to
                    carry on –
                    Are we doing this?

                Jesus worked with others.

The Our Father

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

                R. God the Father is our Father –
we are His little child –

God gives us a sharing in His
                    life and feeds us.

                Grant us peace God –

Help us to be free from sin –

For the Kingdom and the Power
                    are Yours God –

                And the Glory is Yours
                    now and forever. Amen.

                Peace be with you –

Lamb of God

Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

                R. Behold - Jesus takes away the
                    sins of the world –

                Everlasting is God's mercy.

God loves us so much –
                God commands us to love

                God commands us to be
                    witnesses of His love –

                Christ living in us!!

John 15: 1-2, 4-5

I am the true vine,
and my Father is the vinedresser.
Every branch in me that bears no fruit
he cuts away,
and every branch that does bear fruit
     he prunes
to make it bear even more.

Remain in me, as I in you.
As a branch cannot bear fruit all by itself,
unless it remains part of the vine,
neither can you unless you remain in me.
I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Whoever remains in me, with me in him,
bears fruit in plenty;
for cut off from me you can do nothing.

                R. Sin brings guilt and shame –

                Sin brings darkness.

Today is the opportunity to grow
in what God is teaching us.
                    The Israelites could have
                    got through the desert
in 11 days – they wandered
                    for 40 years because they
would not do what God was
                    asking of them –

God is teaching us today in
                    the trial, are we
                    learning or
ignoring Him - only to have
                    another trial and another
                    trial and not learn what
                    we need to learn.

                Are we co-operating with
                    God and others for the
building of the Kingdom of God –

                Do we take responsibility
                    for our actions before God?

                Are we accountable and
                    responsible?

                Are we agreeable and encouraging
                    others from our strength
                    in God –

                Are we just –

                Are we fair to others

From January 27, 1992

I can never live the moments
                    of this day again

                When I go to bed
                    today is gone forever

                I must choose to treasure
                    each moment because
it is the only moment I have and
                    it only lasts one moment.

                R. Read the Parable of the Fig Tree.

God has given us love and gifts –

He gives us so much time to
do what He wants us to do –

God is merciful – we must
lead a life to please Jesus.

Jesus teaches us in the scriptures –

                No man is an island

                Jeremiah warned them - they
                    wouldn't listen.

They expected God to put up
                    with their disobedience!
                    God sent Jeremiah –
                    God warned them –

They would not listen to Jeremiah
                    They tortured him –

                Jeremiah was threatened with death

John the Baptist was beheaded –

                Jesus shed His Blood –
                    His innocent Blood

                Abel was innocent

                Cain slew him in
                    cold blood

                Babies are aborted –
                    it's VIOLENCE –

                Christ was crucified
                    for our sins –

John the Baptist shows us by example –
                    He served God

                Jesus was crucified, hanging
                    against the dark –

                Jesus is the Lamb once
                    slain that lives forever –

                Violence, injustice is
                    opposition to God
who is peace and love –

                Jesus died innocently –
Jesus suffered for our sins –
                Jesus paid the price –

We can change and obey God –

                Mary at Fatima told us
                    about CONVERSION

We are to build the Kingdom of God
                    in justice, love, peace.

                There are victims of violence
                    and terror all over
                    the world –
                    WE PRAY for them

The Lord is Kind and Merciful

                God called Moses to lead
God's people from slavery to freedom

                God told Moses He was
                    "I AM"

                God led Moses through
                    the desert

                Jesus didn't have time
                    on earth to play
                    with somebody playing
                    games trying to stop
                    Him –

                His days were numbered
                    on the earth

                All of our games are
                    numbered on the
                    earth –

                We have so much time
                    and that's it

               R. Elisha gave total commitment
                    to his vocation and
                    didn't look back!

This is our journey here to
                    go to eternal life –

                Prepare – for the future
                    of our spiritual life –
                    Prepare for Emmanuel –
Prepare for God with us –
                    Knowledge, fear of God
Peace – wolf lays down with lamb

John the Baptist tells us Kingdom of heaven
                    is at hand

John the Baptist was a prophet
                    wearing skin of animals

Adam and Eve wore skin of animals

John the Baptist told us to Repent!

Repent for the Kingdom of God is fast
                    approaching

                Prepare - get ready
                    some purpose
                    complete something

                How are we preparing
                to meet Christ

Sing: A Voice Cries out in the Wilderness

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year (2011/2012)
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Audio CD - Read by Father Edward J. Carter
$ 10.00

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD.Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
