                Given December 15, 2009

Christ wants this intimacy with us — to rest
in Him — to be existent in Him, just be in Him —
to thirst for Him and the gift of being in rest in
Him — knowing the Father and Son and Holy Spirit in this
intimacy with God — In this place of being
                in Him —

I thirst for Your presence Lord that my life will
be lived in Thee — To receive You in the Eucharist
and to be filled by Thee — alone with Thee —
feeling this peace and strength that only comes through
                intimacy with God.

Let me meditate on Your passion, Oh Lord,
knowing how deeply You suffered for the sins of men,
all of our sins — So I see the men who have said
"no" to You and with hope in my heart — I know
how You suffered for their sins and my sins, how
You paid the price for our sins, was whipped, wounded
for my sins and the sins of others who refuse You
                and offend You —

I believe that I can focus on His passion —
I believe I can be united to the Holy Sacrifice of
the Mass and can help bring down grace for
the world, for people we pray for in petitioning
God and trusting in Him, being deeply
united to Him in deepest love — the more one we
are with Him — the greater our holiness — the greater
our intercessory prayer — united in deepest oneness,
                intimacy with God —

But we must keep this as our focus - God —
trusting in God — deeper oneness with God — living
in Him — praying to the Holy Spirit to be more and more
sanctified — more and more holy —

We are one with Him and He lives in us in this
world — We are His instruments — We are ready for
His work — Intimacy with God — seeing through His
eyes — the more we work with others — the more
selflessly we can become — giving and taking — following
                right authority —

A person married must work with the other for
deeper oneness and still be as God wants them to
be as a unique contribution in the world —
Working in marriage, relationships with children,
children with school friends, growing up,
                marrying, relationships with grandparents,
                being grandparents ourselves —
working to learn to love God and to love others —
to die to our selfish ways, to learn to see
through God's eyes — not be selfish in our eyes —
seeing ourselves, our will, our agenda, our
                demands —

God is calling us to live by His will, His plan,
to act in love — When we see only through our
eyes and work little with others, we miss the
opportunity of learning what we need to know
to surrender to God's will and work in love,
as the greatest commandment demands, with
                God and others —

Fr. Carter in his book said when people were asked
why they married they said "To be loved" —
Fr. Carter further said as long as this is the attitude
to be loved, rather than to love we can
understand the high rate of divorce — people
marrying "to get love" rather than "to give love"
God calls religious to be holy — to give love
to God and others — if they see through their eyes —
themselves first — then they will not be
available to surrender to let God be the one who
is moving their life — He is the initiator — we
are the souls waiting His favor — Obedience
in religious life to those over us teaches
us about not being controlling and seeing ourselves
and our vision first and trying to mold everybody to our
vision, but in putting both feet off the ground —
following the vision of God — not seeking more
dominance for dominance sake, manipulation —
and the force some try to apply to turn an
institution into a private home where they
                are the master —

Obedience teaches us about following God —
People in today's world think they can get away
with living by what they say is their truth —
which is opposed to God's will — This idea
of this is my truth — that is your truth is
relativism — Reality is found in Christ —
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life —

Putting God first in our lives — seeing through
                God's eyes — not seeing through self-seeking,
                impure, greedy, jealous, lustful, slothful,
                gluttonness — controlling, prideful angry
                eyes - first —

When I see through impure eyes first - when it is
a habit — I make decisions with impure
goals, selfish goals, goals that hurt our
relationship with God and others — goals
that are selfish, against God's will leads
to division amongst men, division between
myself and God and this makes me unhappy —
and hurts others and offends God —
God is love — God intends us to live in His image
and likeness, to die to those vices, bad habits
that are impure and lead to division,
                hurtful, unloving ways —

Jesus calls us to be holy — to pray for the
people of this earth — to surrender to God's plan —
to do His will in love — to do all we can and when
we have to wait to surrender and trust in Him —
never to lose our trust — to know that God
calls us to holiness — A person manipulating
and hurting others should ask how they want
God to have mercy on them — Would we like
to be treated the way we treat others — seeing
                through selfish eyes —

Our whole life is to be lived learning to
be more and more likened to Christ — dying to
our impurities and rising in Him —

The Mass, the sacrifice of Calvary, sacramentally
made present where by we as members of the
mystical body of Christ unite every moment
of our lives dying to those unloving ways
not like Christ so we can live more the
                resurrected life in Him —

Our lives an offering, united to the Holy Sacrifice
of the Mass all through the day —

Hebrews 10: 5-10

You wanted no sacrifice or cereal offering,
but you gave me a body.
You took no pleasure in burnt offering'
   or sacrifice for sin;
then I said, 'Here I am, I am coming,'
in the scroll of the book it is written of me,
to do your will, God.

He says first You did not want what the Law lays down as the things to be offered, that is: the sacrifices, the cereal offerings, the burnt offerings and the sacrifices for sin, and you took no pleasure in them; and then he says: Here I am! I am coming to do your will. He is abolishing the first sort to establish the second. And this will was for us to be made holy by the offering of the body of Jesus Christ made once and for all.

Luminous Mysteries

R. For Pope Benedict

R. For Faith, Hope and Charity

R. Well today is the second day of the retreat and yesterday was the first day, and on the first day we always meditate on the Joyful Mysteries, on the second day of the retreat, we meditate on the Mysteries of Light. We recall how God created light and He said let there be light and there was light. God is all powerful and He has the power to do all things, but God gives us many things that we must endure, but He listens to our prayers and He is always with us. We must trust in Him now and ask Him for those things that we want healing for, for Orlando, for all our healing needs in the Movement, spiritual and physical. We pray for all the special intentions and we just want to be really close to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary united to the Mass praying this rosary.

John Baptizes Jesus in the Jordon

1. Hail Mary

2. And Jesus says let go. Let go and know that I am with you and that you are not to fear, but to do all things for the honor and glory of God, obeying the will of the Father as He dictates to you, not giving in because of weakness to those things that are opposed to His will, but to do the will of God in all things. And to do all things in great love, for it is love that I seek, that you love God and love one another, that you recognize the gifts that are given to you, that you let go now and let your hearts be consumed with love.

3. R. Dear God, we trust in Your might and Your power, and we come to You with all these intentions and we believe that You will hear our plaintiff cry and that You will help us. We see Jesus being baptized in the Jordon, and we review the great gift of our baptism given to us, this sharing in Your life. And we thank You God, and we praise You God, and we ask You to help us, for in suffering things are very hard, many times, and we may not do things exactly as we should, but what is important — that our hearts are always connected in obedience to God's will, that we do not deter from that, for it is for this that we will be judged, that we walked in the ways of the Lord, as You showed us Jesus, when You walked the earth, that You obeyed Your Father to Your death on the cross.

Today You ask very little things of us and because of our willfulness many times we do it our way when it is opposed to God's way, which can affect and hurt many others. But we think it's a little thing and what God wants of us is love. Love means doing God's will when it is hard and when it is not so hard. It means walking hand-in-hand with Our Savior, doing the work He has called us to do, in our daily lives, in sufferings and in joy, to know that God is using every thing in our lives when we surrender and try to do the will of the Father. Let us report for work this day. The work is — to let go and to let God dictate whatever it is that He wants with us, and to say 'yes'. Surrendering and asking Him to help us, to heal us, to help us to be more perfected, to heal in body, mind and soul and when He asks us to suffer, to suffer with love, looking at the bloodied face of Jesus, and knowing that in that face is the infinite love of Our Savior, who is always that close to us, but we must believe.

4. R. We were watching a movie on Moses and when Moses went up to get the 10 Commandments, they built a molten calf. Today many times we do not want to wait on the Lord and we don't really want to give in to His will. We want relief now. We want Him to do it our way. And He is teaching us, in the waiting as hard as it may be, that He has a plan, that He is with us always. He is teaching us and testing us in fire, like the gold that is tested in fire, and yet many times we may try to do something too quick, that will be the wrong thing to relieve our anxiety. God is calling us now to surrender, to follow His will and to know that, in that, is our joy, and it is tough love, that means, that we do what He holds us responsible for, that we do not walk away and allow things to happen, that are against His will, when it is our responsibility to see that they are done.

5. R. Surrender now and know that He is with us. He is with us, with a Heart that is consumed with love for us, with the same love that He had the day that He died on the cross. This Jesus, the Son of God came, consumed with love for us. He gave His life for us, that we could live with His life in us. Dear God, we thank You for the sacraments, especially in this mystery, the sacrament of Baptism whereby You fill us with Your life. Dear God, help us to treasure this life. Help us to reach more to know You with this special gift of sharing in Your knowing and loving capacity, and to know that the loving that we developed, and the knowing will go with us, when we live our lives to serve You, to honor You and do the will of the Father, for love will not die. In the service of the Lord, love will stay with us.

6. Jesus: Let go My chosen ones. Let go and know that I am close to you, that I love you with the greatest love. I died for you. I died for your sins and I speak to you today to lead you more in the ways of the resurrected life, but you must face the truth and tell your God and others that you are sorry, when you have done wrong. Make peace that tomorrow your day will be a day of intimacy with Me, as you live in the truth. I love you so and you are not perfect, for you have a wounded human nature and that is how you are. Say you are sorry when you are wrong and build a Kingdom of love.

7. Jesus: Built a Kingdom in your heart of truth, that when I come to you on Christmas morn, your heart will be filled with love and ready for Me to take My residence deeply there.

8. R. And we know that Mary is full of grace and that when we die and go to heaven, we too will be full of grace, that here we can be filled more and more with His life, His grace in us, the more that we go to the Mass, the more that we pray before the Blessed Sacrament, the more that we read His Word, the more that He feeds us, feeds our soul with the bread of life. Oh God, outpour Your grace that we may be abundantly filled with Your life. Help us — Help us now for we are the poor banished children of Adam and Eve.

9. R. These are the mysteries of light. See Jesus in the Jordon and John is baptizing Him. And the heavens opened and a voice from heaven says "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased", and above the head of Jesus we see the Holy Spirit. Oh God, come to us. Holy Spirit fill us with God's love and His life in us. Help us not to be filled with fear, but to be fearless, to walk in Your footsteps and to know that when we begin to be afraid, that You are right there with us. We must just focus on that and not give into the negativity of fearing that we are ever alone, away from Your side.

10. And Jesus says: I am with you now. Let go.

R. And let's say this with all our heart — Glory Be

The Kingdom of God

R. Let us not close our minds but be open to the fact that our whole life is to be lived in building His Kingdom. Dear God, give us the grace to not be selfish or seek affection for those things that will lead us from our focus, which is You. Help us to be holy and to live according to Your will, to model our lives after Mary, the perfect disciple of the Lord.

1. Hail Mary

2. Mary: I appear Our Lady of Light.

3. Mary: May the light of Jesus shine in your hearts, that others will see you as the witness, that you have been called by Jesus to be, that they will see the light within you, and that they will know more, the working of the Holy Spirit within you and the love of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World.

4. Sing: One little light in the darkness, then there were two and were three. Two little lights in the darkness, look at what has happened to me.

Mary: God has called you, my children, to be that little light in the darkness. Focus on the calling of my Son, Jesus. Do not give in to the evil one, who wants you to walk in the way of perplexity, but follow in the footsteps of Jesus, who wants you to walk in the ways of perfection, likened to your heavenly Father.

5. Mary: One that follows God, follows in strength and light and joy. Even in suffering, there is that confidence from knowing that you are not alone, and that God walks with you.

6. Mary: Even in suffering you know God's will for you.

7. Mary: Suffering is a part of life. Look at the Savior.

8. Mary: Help build the Kingdom with your lives given to Him.

9. Sing: One little light in the darkness, then there were two and were three.

10. Hail Mary

The Transfiguration

1. R. And He took them up Mt. Tabor and He was transfigured before their face, and He shown with the greatest light and white. God gives to us Himself in the Eucharist. He fills us with His life. He loves us so much. And even though there is suffering and problems and things in our lives, it never takes away this sweetness of the gift that God gives to us, in the Eucharist and in the Mass. Because we are suffering we cannot think that He is not with us, for it is in these times that He is with us more ardently than others. For we can see that afterwards, many times, how close we were to Him, because He was the only one that we could turn to, after exhausting all other possibilities and doing all that we could.

And God showed us the pages of a notebook, that were before us, but did not give us the answer. But He wasn't ready to turn the page, and we wanted it to be resolved, but for Him it was what He was giving us that day, and in it, outpouring His grace and His help and His love and His intimacy. But if we are always reaching for our solution, we will miss the day that He gives us today, with His prescription and His medicine.

Oh God, give us the courage to say 'yes' to the problems, to the sufferings, to the things that You have asked us to endure this day, with the courage of knowing that we are to trust in You and to not be afraid. That at every step, no matter how hard it may seem, that you have not abandoned us, nor will You ever, when we follow in Your footsteps and give our heart, lovingly in surrender to the will of God.

(And Mary is appearing so beautiful.) How did you walk, oh heavenly Mother, in the footsteps of Jesus, at the Marriage of Cana, when you saw that they had no wine, and you talked to your Son, and He listened, and He changed the water into wine. Oh blessed Lady, intercede for us, for we are the poor banished children of Eve, and the sufferings and struggles of this life, the unfinished business, the place of going from here to a new place, is very trying many times, and yet, it is the bridge that must be crossed, in order to get to the new place. But if one sees themselves as having to have the solution, they miss the bridges, they miss the crossing, they miss the new life.

2. R. We can say to God, 'Let it be this way God', and when it isn't that way, become very frustrated, and feel as if we should turn away. But this is not our answer at all. It is — 'God, could it be this way', and if He does not answer it that way, then we must say, 'I know You are here God and I know that You want things a certain way. My heart is Yours and I surrender to You and I wait for Your timing. And I will cross the bridge and I will stay here. I will go to the other side. Whatever it is that You want God. You are the one that is the Initiator and I am the one that follows' — as a dancer, as one that leads the dance and one that follows, is one that sails across the ocean without the turbulent water, but with the whisking of the Divine brush of the Almighty God, who painted our life and put us here, who helped us to be in love with others and to make our way in this world.

Why would He abandoned us, for He knew the Father's love in His death on the cross. He knew the Father's will and He preceded to the hill of Calvary, mounted the cross and said "Not my will but Thine be done." Oh God, the Blue Books and Your messages of surrender and love in the second Blue Book are so vital, that Fr. Carter said that the second Blue Book was a book of surrender. In missing the message that God gives to us, we are missing many fruits, that can lead us to a higher place of understanding and knowing You more, and being with You, in a much deeper way in heaven. Let us realize that today is Your day to prepare us for our eternal destiny. In rushing it or wanting it to be over, we may miss the greatest lesson of our lives. Let us let God do the choosing for what happens to us today. And not to be anxious that others will not even know how to respond to our anxiousness, but let us be wrapped in the peace and trust of Our God.

3. R. There is a time for everything, and sometimes the time is the time to wait. And sometimes there are the procrastinators, that block the very work that God wants done. And sometimes there are those that move too quickly, causing more problems than if they had waited as God intended. Whatever is Your will for us, dear God, make known, that we are not procrastinators, that we are not speedballs, that we will savor the moments according to God's will and let them unfold.

Holy Spirit come to our counsel, fill us and see that in our problems, that we are surrendering and asking You to help us that we can affect as many souls as possible, for this is our goal, that we one day, will be with You forever, and lead as many souls there as possible, giving You honor and love and praise, Our beloved God. Thank You for the gift of Yourself truly present in the Eucharist and for this rosary this day, in which Our Lady has enormously made her presence known. We are Your children and we love and serve You. Amen.

4. R. And He shows us how to be sons of God. He took the Apostles up Mt. Tabor and a voice was heard, "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. Listen to Him." Today, let us listen in our hearts, to the voice of Jesus, that tells us about His plan for our lives. Let us call upon the Holy Spirit to help us to know God's will and let us spend our time daily or as we can, receiving Our beloved Jesus in the Eucharist, and going to Him before the tabernacle, begging for that special grace that we receive there, where He is truly present in His Divinity and humanity.

Let us cry, God, as one in a carnival in reaching the high bell that tolls, 'Oh-h the jackpot' — the jackpot is Jesus truly present in the Eucharist, our Church, the priest, our life of grace through baptism, the gift of penance and the other sacraments, the sacrament of the sick that strengthens and helps us to heal, the sacrament of holy orders and matrimony. God, You are so good to us, to give us the sacrament of confirmation whereby we are strengthened through the Holy Spirit. Thank You, God for our Church, our priest and for the world. We offer all of our prayers for the priest, the Church and the world, and for our special intentions, and we believe that You will heal us if it is Your holy will, dear God. For we love You and we ask You for this today.

5. R. Can you imagine how the Apostles that He took up Mt. Tabor were, when He was transfigured before them? But Fr. Carter would always say to me, 'Rita, if you could see your own graced soul, you would fall over.' We do not see our soul with God's grace in it. But it is a sight of beauty that God fills us with His Divine life, through the sacrament of baptism and feeds that life through the Eucharist. Oh God, thank You. We praise You. We worship You and we love You. We trust in You and we believe. Give us what we need. Amen. Did you say Amen? Amen.

6. R. God, give us what we need. Outpour Your grace. Holy Spirit fill us with courage, and wisdom and knowledge and love. Help us to know the will of the Father. To this we say — Amen.

7. R. Did you ever see someone that is really cold, because it is cold outside, and they forgot their coat? And someone from afar comes with a nice warm beautiful coat and puts it on them? And it's like — 'oh thank you.' Dear God, we are the poor banished children of Adam and Eve. When we are in the state of grace, because we have not sinned mortally — dear God, at least, I don't think I did — cloth us more and more with Your grace, dear God, that we will wear the cloak that will be a special light to all that surround us — the light of being the witness that You want us to be of Your Divine life within us, abundantly outpoured — the coat of light. Amen.

8. R. Fill us with Your grace, oh God. Amen.

9. Hail Mary
10. Hail Mary

The Institution of the Eucharist

R. Dear God, thank You for this gift of Your love, that You come to us today in Your Divinity and humanity and that I receive You. You have given to us this gift of Your love and we are ever grateful, for it is indeed a most precious gift. Oh God, we thirst for the Eucharist, in which You come to us and give us Your healing and Your love. Outpour Your grace and let us know You more and more, for You do love us to give us such a gift.

1. Sing: Come to me Lord and possess my soul

2. Hail Mary
3. Hail Mary
4. Hail Mary
5. Hail Mary
6. Hail Mary
7. Hail Mary

8. Sing: A Priest Is a Gift from God

9. Hail Mary
10. Hail Mary

R. Jesus says He has heard our prayers.

Hail Holy Queen

July 31, 1994

Words of Jesus to Members of
Shepherds of Christ Associates:

"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.

"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.

"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."

- Message from Jesus to Father Edward J. Carter, S.J., Founder, as given on July 31, 1994,
feast of Saint Ignatius Loyola, Founder of the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits)
