                Readings for Tomorrow

Isaiah 25: 6-10a

On this mountain, for all peoples,
Yahweh Sabaoth is preparing
a banquet of rich food,
    a banquet of fine wines,
of succulent food, of well–strained wines.
On this mountain, he has destroyed
the veil which used to veil all peoples,
the pall enveloping all nations;
he has destroyed death for ever.
Lord Yahweh has wiped away the tears
    from every cheek;
he has taken his people’s shame away
    everywhere on earth,
for Yahweh has spoken.

And on that day, it will be said,
‘Look, this is our God,
in him we put our hope
    that he should save us,
this is Yahweh, we put our hope in him.
Let us exult and rejoice
    since he has saved us.’
For Yahweh’s hand will rest
    on this mountain,

Psalm 23: 1-6

Yahweh is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
In grassy meadows he lets me lie.

By tranquil streams he leads me
    to restore my spirit.
He guides me in paths of saving justice
    as befits his name.

Even were I to walk in a ravine as dark as death
I should fear no danger, for you are at my side.
Your staff and your crook are there to soothe me.

You prepare a table for me
    under the eyes of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
    my cup brims over.

Kindness and faithful love pursue me
    every day of my life.
I make my home in the house of Yahweh
    for all time to come.

Matthew 15: 29-37

Jesus went on from there and reached the shores of the Lake of Galilee, and he went up onto the mountain. He took his seat, and large crowds came to him bringing the lame, the crippled, the blind, the dumb and many others; these they put down at his feet, and he cured them. The crowds were astonished to see the dumb speaking, the cripples whole again, the lame walking and the blind with their sight, and they praised the God of Israel.

But Jesus called his disciples to him and said, ‘I feel sorry for all these people; they have been with me for three days now and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them off hungry, or they might collapse on the way.’ The disciples said to him, ‘Where in a deserted place could we get sufficient bread for such a large crowd to have enough to eat?’ Jesus said to them, ‘How many loaves have you?’ They said, ‘Seven, and a few small fish.’ Then he instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves and the fish, and after giving thanks he broke them and began handing them to the disciples, who gave them to the crowds. They all ate as much as they wanted, and they collected what was left of the scraps, seven baskets full.

Jesus: I am the way, the truth and the
                life.

                R. Our goal must be God –

Therefore we do not want to
deceive in any way, but to bring
                to all things the truth.

We are here and we should have
as our goal God and we must
desire to please God, by willing
what God wants us to do –
so we pray for that vision of
                faith – to see God's Plan –
                we seek God's plan and
                God's vision and this should
be our goal – to be on the same
page with God – to have
                harmony –
                to want unity –
to seek the will of God and
                to operate in love –

God shows us this – obedience to God's
                    will in love –

Jesus died doing His Father's will –

Jesus operated in perfect love –

We are to seek knowledge of God –
                this is our delight –

We give loving obedience to God

We want to do God's will
                in loving obedience –

Jesus showed us how He obeyed
His Father's will to His death on
                the cross.

                    God loves our will freely
given to God's will – given
                with a heart seeking, longing
and loving to serve God by
doing God's will in love –

                    Jesus showed us in the
Garden – He obeyed the Father's
                will in love –

                    With the desire of His
                loving Heart – Jesus carried
the cross and obeyed the Father's
will in suffering and love –

                    Jesus' Heart is all pure,
                all perfect –

                    God is truth –

                    God has revealed to us
                about His truth –

We are to seek truth –

                    God is absolute truth –

Living in the truth helps us
to be one with God –

                    Living a lie, the smallest
lie distances us from God –

God is all knowing and all
                truthful.

                    God elevates our knowing and
                loving capacity in baptism –
                Knowing God on a supernatural
                level –
It is a capacity to be made
deeper as we live in Him,
as we live in His truth,
as we seek His will, His vision
and we want to do only that
                which pleases God –

                    Our life, our vocation is
                focused on serving God –
                our goal is God –

Our goal loving God and our
                neighbors as ourselves –

We receive this elevated human nature
to know and love in baptism –

We pray for God to increase in
us these virtues of faith, hope
                and love.

We want His life to abundantly
                fill us.

We seek increase of His grace.
We want to please Him, we
don't want lies to be in us –

                    God is absolute truth –

We are here to live our lives on
a journey to God. We seek truth on
this journey to God. We live in
the truth – we want unity with
                God.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit help us
to see and have knowledge of
our faults – to be able to
strive to correct what we need
to – to be more perfected as
God wants – more in the image
                of Jesus –

We do not want to live any deception
in ourselves, but seek to know
the truth about our own faults,
as not to offend God with the
                slightest sin.

We see the virtuous life –

                    We live the commandments of
                loving God first and loving
                others as ourselves –

                    God is love –

Our heart is to be more and
more in that image of Jesus,
                by loving God and loving
                others – because God commands
                us to love –

                    The deadly sins
                    pride, anger, jealousy, envy,
                slothfulness, lust and gluttony
are sins that drive us away
                from that intimate union with
                God. That make us miserable
because of this, that lead us
                deeper and deeper into darkness
                and blindness and dull the
                vision of seeing through the
eyes of faith the Father's Plan
and loving God and others as
                God commands us to do.

                Heaven is for lovers –

God elevates our knowing and loving
                    capacity in baptism so we
                    can actually love on a
                    supernatural level –
so we can see more and more
                    the vision of God –
                    and know God and want
only to do His will in greater
                    love –

                God calls Servants and Handmaids
of the Good Shepherd to follow
                    in the footsteps of the
                    Virgin Mary –

                    Mary is the highest
in purity of human creatures –

                Mary conceived without sin –

Mary shows us her love of
                    God the Father, the Creator
her love of Jesus to serve
                        God –
her love of her Spouse the
                        Holy Spirit –

                Mary is the perfect handmaid
                    of the Lord –

Mary: My soul proclaims the greatness
                    of the Lord –

                R. The more pure one is, the more
one seeks to be likened to the
                Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are
the Hearts of pure and perfect
                love –

                    We seek absolute truth –

                    We seek greater faith and
the plan of the Father – to see
                through His eyes –

                    We seek the light –

                    The deadly sins of pride,
                anger, envy, jealousy –
                dull the man –

We are to live a life of
                virtue –

                    We are to recognize anger
and pray for grace to deal
                with it –
                    not lie about it and
                    let it rule our lives

We want our minds to be lifted
                    up –

                To seek God –

To want to know God on a
                    supernatural level –
know His plan for men –
                    for us

What is the goal of God for us
                in why He created us.

God has a Divine Plan –

God created us with a purpose –

We see the big picture –

We want the big picture –

We want the plan of God to
                        enfold –

We are not locked in a tunnel
                    of anger and darkness –
                    where we are prone to
                    hatred, lies, anger,
                    jealousy, envy and pride.

                God is light –
in Him there is no darkness –

Every moment of every day He
                    gives us light and life
to serve Him as He desires –
to love with the Heart of Jesus –
to consecrate our lives to Jesus
to do the will of the
                        Heavenly Father –

                    to live virtuously –
to pray to God for grace to
                        raise above the natural –
                        to know God and have
                        greater insight into the
                        hidden mysteries –

                Jesus says:

I am the way, the truth
                        and the life –

                Living Lies makes you far
                    from My pure Heart –
                    You are accountable to
                    God for your actions
                    and responsible for the
                    effects of those actions –
                    pray for mercy and
                    forgiveness from God –
Live to be pure in heart
