The Mass and the Hearts of
Jesus and Mary

by Rita Ring

FORMED IN THE WOMB OF MARY

R. In order to grow more deeply in my love of Christ, I must unite to the heart of Mary. As Christ was formed in the womb of Mary, we are constantly being formed in her heart through the action of the Holy Spirit, she is a Spiritual Mother. I am constantly being formed in her heart through the action of the Holy Spirit.

Divinity and humanity meet in the womb of Mary. She carried the Christ Child under her heart. The union of the two Hearts began when the Holy Spirit came upon her. She was filled with grace. To house the God-made-Man, she must be full of grace.

Do you ponder on our own graced soul? Do we think of our graced soul after reception of the Eucharist?

THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

Written at Mass:

R. As Father read the Gospel, I was so connected with each word and filled with such emotion. I was so close to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, so deep in His love.

Every thought of Mary radiated in my body. To hear her name made me want to cry. I love her life. I love Jesus' life. I love the rosary. The rosary is alive in me.

MEN HAVE THEIR ROLE; WOMEN HAVE THEIRS

Written between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Holy Cross-Immaculata Catholic Church:

R. I knew I was supposed to be here. I had such sufferings during the Stations, wrapped in pain. I am so lost in the depth of the emotions. My heart is torn in the Stations.

I love His presence, her presence - I am so wrapped in this presence, I just want to be alone with Them. I just want to be with them in ecstasy.

Jesus says, "...Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?" (Mt. 12:48) There is a oneness in the roles of loving. Mary is His Mother, yet she is the New Eve, and He is the New Adam. He says, "...Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?" (Mt. 12:48) There is such oneness between all in the Body of Christ. There is such oneness in our hearts when we consecrate our hearts to Them. We are all children of the Father. He wants us to love each other and live according to His will.

In heaven, we will be in harmony, enjoying His love, His goodness, His mysteries. I understand this immense love between all, living in harmony in the Father's will!

We see the Lord, and we adore and worship Him and live in His love. His love is enough for us.

The family is a little church. The father is the head. The wife must obey the husband. She receives the seed. There are little children.

Mary is close to Jesus in one Heart. Wives should be close to their husbands in one heart. Men and women have different roles. When we disregard the virgin birth of Jesus, we disregard the virgin birth of the Church. Mary is always bringing forth her children.

Mary is not respected as she should be. There are blasphemies against Mary, against her as Mother of God, against her Immaculate Conception, against the virgin birth. We must go through the pure one, Mary, to go to the deepest chamber of the Heart of Christ.

Concerning the marital act, the focus many times is not on love between husband and wife and the procreation of children, the focus of this most beautiful act many times in today's world is on giving pleasure. The Church does not agree with artificial contraception. One purpose of the sexual act is procreation of children. When people control the sexual act by artificial birth control, they eliminate the purpose of this act for the procreation of children. The act must be performed according to the Father's will. The sexual act is a beautiful loving act created by God. It is not a dirty act, an act for senseless pleasure. It is a serious act created by God to express love between husband and wife and to bring about the procreation of children. It is God's act to bring a life into the world. He gives the life in this act, created by Him!

The devil has made sin out of so many things. The sexual act is a beautiful act given by God. It should be used according to the Father's plan and treasured.

Love, oh, love, oh love - that is God Himself, but how little is understood of real love! Love and forgiveness go hand-in-hand.

Jesus showed us how He always, always forgave. He forgave Mary Magdalene - His way is love!

To be like Jesus we must strive to eliminate division with others in our hearts. Our hearts must be filled with love. He is Love! To be as He is, is to love. Wives should be subject to their husbands; husbands should love their wives. Their roles are not the same. He gives the seed, she receives the seed and loves it.

Priests are representing Christ to us. He has been anointed and chosen by God and given power, through God, to change bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus. Priests should be shown the highest love, respect, and honor, for they are the chosen sons of God.

The priest must realize the great honor and dignity that is given to him. The priest has the great gift to administer the Sacraments.

Also, the priest should pray over people. The priest should pray over people for their healing. It is so powerful when a priest prays over people.

Women and men have different roles. Christ gave Mary to us as our Mother. Mary's role was not to be an anointed priest. Christ is the Head of the Church. Mary is the Mother of the Church. Her role is to bring forth her children so they are more and more like Jesus. Mary stands beneath the cross. Jesus is above her. He is the New Adam, she is the New Eve. "...Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?...Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." (Mt. 12:48-50) We are one in Him. He raises us to such heights. We share in His divine life.

It is through His Resurrection and Ascension, we share in His life.

We are creatures - He is divine. He allows us to share in His divine life.

He is raised on the cross. He gave Himself on the cross. He gives Himself to us now. We unite with God in the Holy Eucharist (the Mass). At the Offertory, we see the priest mix one drop of water with the wine. This symbolizes our humanity sharing in His Divinity.

He is raised high on the cross above the creatures. He is resurrected from the dead!

In Him, we are raised to new life. He ascends into heaven and opens the gates for us. He is the Way. He is the Truth. He is the Life. It is in Him, we are raised up, as we become partakers in His life.

Life flows from the Father, in the Holy Spirit, through the pierced Heart of Jesus, through the heart of Mary into us, and we act as channels of His life in this world. God is the Source of life. To leave out God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is to leave out the Source of life.

Life is not life if it is not rooted in Him.

The Church is the way this life is channeled to us. The family is a little church. Our roles are as the Father wills - men and women are not the same!

They are as they were created by Him. It is in living according to His will that we will have peace and joy.

We are called to unite with Christ - only in Him will there be peace and joy in our lives.

To make yourself supreme is to try to reign on the earth. You are without power. Only through Him will you operate in love, peace, and joy. God the Father loves us so much. He wants us to love each other as His little children. We must be humble and put aside pride and hatred. His way is love. He is God. He calls us to love in our hearts. He wants us to act like His Son, to love and forgive and be kind.

Alleluia. He is the King of heaven and earth. The Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph!

Joyful Mysteries

The Annunciation

Jesus: With a most tender heart open wide your hearts and let Me fill you with My abundant grace. I am outpouring to you great gifts at this moment.

1. Song: Hail Mary Gentle Woman

2. R. Let us make this rosary a gift of love from our hearts that we give to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. How Jesus longs to hear the words from our lips that we love Him! Jesus is waiting and longing for us to come and to tell Him of our love. Jesus says how few souls come to Me and tell Me of their love and I am longing and waiting to hear them speak these words from their hearts. Think of Jesus here, present in the tabernacle. Jesus is a Person. God loves us so much. Empty our minds of distractions and do God's will. Dear beloved Jesus, let us unite with you in the deepest union.

Let us focus on the presence of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit within our graced baptized soul, and as we unite deeper to You, let us give to You deeper love. You are the Almighty God, You are worthy of all our love. Let us think of the magnificence of the Almighty God and think of how small we really are, that God loves us so much. He is treated with such unworthiness, such indifference, and neglected by so many of His creatures that He loves. We pray to unite in deepest union with You that we can say with all of our hearts, I love You Jesus, I love You, Jesus. You, who are the Almighty God, deserving and worthy of all of our love.

3. R. Adam and Eve sinned against God. God promised to send a Redeemer. This is the love that God has for His creatures that after the offense of Adam and Eve, God sent His only begotten Son into this world that we could be saved.

4. R. Let us experience the mysteries of this rosary in our hearts. Let us envision the angel as the angel comes to Mary. Think of how Mary felt when the angel came. How Mary felt to be chosen to be the Mother of God. How do you think Mary felt?

5. R. We are so anxious and so worried about all of the events and the little details of our lives. Let us look at the lives of Jesus and Mary and meditate on how They lived.

6. R. Mary, always complied to the will of the Father. Mary said yes to the angel. Mary followed the will of the Father for she loved Him with such tender love. The Father had a plan. Mary was chosen to be the Mother of God.

The windows in this chapel are part of the Father's Plan. The Father has told me that each window is part of His Plan. When I walk in the chapel the windows come alive to me for they show us the lives of Jesus and Mary in the rosary. The rosary is such a great gift, given to us, for we grow more and more in our relationship with Jesus by meditating on the lives of Jesus and Mary in the rosary. His life becomes alive in us - when we look at the window depicting the Annunciation, we can envision ourselves there, and we can see the angel appearing to Mary - how important this mystery is in the course of Salvation History! Let us ask God for the grace to feel in our hearts these mysteries of the rosary, to love the events in the life of Christ and in our lives, and to act as the Father wills us to act in doing His will in love.

7. Song: The Angel Gabriel

8. Luke 1: 35, 38  The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. ...  Mary said, ‘You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.’

9. Song: O Holy Mary

R. Who are we that God loves us so much that He came to this earth, incarnate in the womb of the Virgin Mary? Who are we that God came in the womb of a human person for love of His creatures? God is love. We do not even understand minutely the love that God has for us but if we can meditate on the fact that the Almighty God came within the womb of Mary, a human person, we may understand a little more how much God truly loves His creatures and Mary became the Mother of God, a human person, the Mother of God! Mary espoused to the Holy Spirit and the Child Jesus was formed within her womb.

10. Excerpt from Response to God's Love by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

... In reference to Christianity, God himself is the ultimate mystery. Radically, God is completely other and transcendent, hidden from man in his inner life, unless he chooses to reveal himself. Let us briefly look at this inner life of God.

The Father, in a perfect act of self-expression, in a perfect act of knowing, generates his son. The Son, the Word, is, then, the immanent expression of God's fullness, the reflection of the Father. Likewise, from all eternity, the Father and the Son bring forth the Holy Spirit in a perfect act of loving.

At the destined moment in human history, God's self-expression, the Word, immersed himself into man's world. God's inner self-expression now had also become God's outer self-expression. Consequently, the mystery of God becomes the mystery of Christ. In Christ, God tells us about himself, about his inner life, about his plan of creation and redemption. He tells us how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire to dwell within us in the most intimate fashion, how they wish to share with us their own life through grace. All this he has accomplished and does accomplish through Christ.

Song: O Holy Mary

The Visitation

R. Mary made haste to the hill country to be with her cousin Elizabeth who had conceived a child in her old age.

1. R. When Mary and Jesus arrived the child in Elizabeth's womb leapt for joy at the presence of the Almighty God in Mary.

2. R. The Child Jesus was formed in the womb of the Virgin Mary. Mary is our spiritual Mother, given to us as Jesus hung high on the cross. He gave Mary to us - Mary the Mother of our Christ-life. Jesus was formed in the womb of His Mother through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are formed in the spiritual womb of our beloved Mother, through the Holy Spirit, more and more into the image and likeness of God. As we are formed more and more into this image and likeness of Jesus, we are led closer to the Father.

3. R. A baby in the womb is secure, they are dependent. There is such security there. Let us go to our spiritual womb, the Immaculate Heart of our beloved Mother and let us feel this security as we know that Mary, our beloved Mother, loves us with a most personal love and Mary cares for us for our every need. As we dwell in Mary's heart, Mary places us in the Heart of her Son, Jesus. It is in dwelling in Their Hearts that we will be secure against the terrors of the night for dark days are coming. Mary tells us of the dark days, but the refuge is found in dwelling in Their Hearts. We dwell in Their Hearts. We pray to be saturated more and more with His life in us. We are strengthened against the terrors of the night.

4. Luke 1: 41-44  Now it happened that as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leapt in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. She gave a loud cry and said, ‘Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord? Look, the moment your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb leapt for joy.

R. If we were there and Mary came and visited us with Jesus within her, we would be in awe, but Jesus visits us each time we receive the Holy Eucharist. Jesus comes to us and He dwells in us and I hear Him call out and He calls out and calls out to me, "tell them, tell them, that I give Myself to them and they leave after Mass is over." These are the special moments of greatest intimacy with Him. We unite with God truly present. God gives us great knowledge of Himself. He outpours His love abundantly and this deep, deep intimacy. We hear in Mass: Through Him, With Him, In Him!

R. Be one in Him: one, one - how intimate is this oneness that God wants with us that the Almighty God wants to be one in us! Closer than we can be with any person, God wants this oneness, that we identify with Him in such oneness that in our every breath and heartbeat we unite as He operates through us in this world today. In the windows in the chapel Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth. Mary goes to tell one person.

Across from these windows are the Glorious Mysteries and we see the Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles. Christ came to this earth. Jesus walked the earth. Mary told Elizabeth the good news. Jesus ascended into heaven and left behind the apostles to carry out His work. Mary was filled with the Holy Spirit and the Word became Flesh. The apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit in the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and the Virgin Mary. They no longer were filled with fear and thoughts of themselves. Who was first? They were filled with fearlessness and they went out to preach the Gospel. We are His apostles this day that He is sending out especially in the Shepherds of Christ Movement to spread His love to this world that is suffering and in pain.

5. R. Let us thank the Almighty God for the visits He gives to us when He comes into our hearts and unites with us in the Holy Eucharist and let us tell Him with all our hearts those words that He longs to hear from our lips: I love You, Jesus, I love You Holy Spirit, I love You My Father!

6. R. In telling our beloved God of our love for Him, He gives us great gifts for we feel His love deeper and deeper in our hearts.

7. R. Jesus, we adore You. We are thirsting for You. How we love You!

8. R. It is within the womb of the Virgin Mary that the Sacred Heart of Jesus was formed. The Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary, within the body of Mary - this is the intimacy between Jesus and Mary. As we meditate on the mysteries of the rosary we see this closeness between Jesus and Mary. If we can understand the closeness that Jesus had with His Mother, who is a human person, we can understand more how much Jesus loves us. Let us, at every Communion, make reparation to the heart of our beloved Mother for all of the blasphemies against her as Mother of God, as the Immaculate Conception and as a Virgin.

9. Hail Mary
10. Hail Mary

The Birth of Our Lord

R. The Child Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem, surrounded by the beasts of the earth and above His head a star shone brightly.

1. Jesus is the Light of the world yet this world is in so much darkness and Jesus cries out to us from the tabernacle to come for He is outpouring His abundant grace and His love and so few hear the call. Mary calls, "come to my Son in the Eucharist for He is there and He is waiting for you with such graces." But how few hear this call. We are given great graces in this rosary from the Heart of Jesus. Let us unite closer to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Let us open our hearts and ask Them to come in and unite with us so deeply.

2. R. Let us meditate on the fact that God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son. Jesus came into this world and took on a baby's body. Realize that Jesus came into this world in a little baby body. If we can see Him hanging on the cross and realize more and more the immensity of His love, what have we to fear when He has all the power and He loves us this much!

3. R. Jesus is the Light of the world. We are the children of this light. Mary is our Mother. Let us walk in the way of the light. Let us unite in the deepest union with Him. For, to be united with Him is to have this light within us and this light is too mighty to be contained.,

4. R. The light shines in the darkness. We see the Child Jesus in the crib in Bethlehem, surrounded by little sheep - Jesus is the Lamb of God.

5. R. The lamb that was led to the slaughter for love of us. Our hearts are hungry and we are searching for that which feeds our starved souls. Only the love of God will fill our souls. We see the lamb of God and we see Him as He hung on the cross and I hear Him call out from the tabernacle, "tell them, tell them, tell them - I am waiting, I am longing and I want to be so close to them. I am giving to them great graces when they come to Me and sit with Me in front of the tabernacle. Tell them, tell them, I love them, I love them, I love them. Tell them every letter I write is from My Heart to theirs, to read the letters as a love letter from me to them. Tell them of My love."

6. R. I see Mary as she stands beneath the cross and I feel the pain of her watching her Son as He hung, and the pain in her heart for her little lost children in this world. They tell me, "tell them, tell them, tell them. Tell them the message is that Jesus is alive and He is with you this day. Jesus is truly present in His Divinity and humanity in the tabernacle here, no less present than the day He was in the crib in Bethlehem, no less present than He was in the womb of the Virgin Mary, and He is neglected and treated indifferently." I hear His words and I hear Him call out, "I am alive, I am alive, I am alive." He says, "Tell them, tell them, tell them. Unless the messages of His burning love are circulated in the Church and in the world, the blood shed will continue. People are hungry, not even knowing what they are hungry for. They will continue to murder babies, will continue to search further and further for that which will fill them when nothing fills the starved soul but the love of God" and I hear Him say, "My Heart is bleeding for I love, I love, tell them I love."

Song: God's Love

R. I see Him in the stable in Bethlehem, the Son of God, in a little baby body. This is the love that God has for us - He came in the womb of a human person, He was born a little baby. He hung on the cross, because of His love. I hear the Almighty God call out to me over and over and over again, "Tell them, tell them, tell them. This is the mighty medicine for this world." He is calling out to us. His messengers, to carry the message of His love, this Christmas, into this world, and people are so occupied with the red and green bows and Jesus calls out to tell them of His love. He say, tell the children of My love. Mary calls out, pray the rosary, meditate on the mysteries of our lives. When you think of the babies that are murdered in the womb of their mothers, and we close our eyes, I hear Him calling out, "tell them of My love."

7. "Unless the messages of My love are circulated in the Church, the bloodshed will continue."

8. Song: What Child Is This

R. Jesus was rejected at birth, the Son of God. He hung on a tree, covered with blood and He gave His life and He remains with us this day in the Tabernacle and He calls out, I am alive, I am alive, I am alive. He is rejected and forgotten. Let us make our Christmas gift to Him the gift of uniting our hearts deeper and deeper in burning love with Him for He says, "how few souls come to Me and profess their burning love and I wait and I long and I want to be so close to My beloved ones."

9. Hail Mary
10. Hail Mary

The Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple

1. R. Jesus was taken to the Temple. Simeon, the prophet met Mary and Joseph and foretold of the sufferings to come.

2. "A sword too shall pierce your soul, O Mary."  R. Mary holds the little baby Jesus in her arms and hears the words of Simeon, "a sword too shall pierce your soul, O Mary." From this point on, Mary had a constant ache in her heart for she knew of the sufferings to come.

3. R. The pain and the joy: Jesus Christ gave His life that we would share in His Divine life. We have the gift of baptism where we receive this sharing in His life.

4. R. As we meditate on the mysteries of the rosary we see the pain and we see the joy. We see that Mary's heart was invisibly pierced with the sword. We meditate on the seven sorrows of Mary. Mary held all of these things in her heart. Let us dwell in the heart of Mary - Mary's heart, that is pure and sinless, that we may know Jesus more, through Mary's heart. Mary, who loves Jesus, with a most pure and tender love. As we dwell in her heart, as we pray through Mary, let all of our actions, all of our prayers, bring us to know her Son more. "And she held all these things in her heart."

5. R. To know Jesus a little is to want to know Him more and more, to love Him more and more. The Father chose Mary from all women to be the Mother of His Son. The Father chose Mary to be the way that He sent His Son into this world. This was the Father's choice. Jesus told Lucia that He wanted His Heart to be venerated next to the heart of His Mother. When we realize more the immense love that Jesus has for His Mother, who was a human person, we realize more how dearly He loves us, His beloved creatures.

6. R. To blaspheme Mary is to not realize the immense love that God has for His creatures. Mary is the Mother of God.

7. From Tell My People

The Holy Spirit

Jesus: My beloved friend, tell My people to pray daily to the Holy Spirit. They are to pray for an increase in His gifts. My people must realize that the Holy Spirit comes to transform them. The Spirit desires to transform you more and more according to My image. Those who are docile to His touch become increasingly shaped in My likeness. He performs this marvel within Mary's Immaculate Heart. The more one dwells in My Mother's Heart, the more active are the workings of the Spirit. The Spirit leads Mary to place you within My own Heart. In both Our Hearts, then, your transformation continues. The more you are formed after My own Heart, the more I lead you to the bosom of My Father. Tell My people all this. Tell them to pray daily for a greater appreciation of these wondrous gifts. I am Lord and Master. All who come to My Heart will be on fire to receive the gifts of the Spirit in ever greater measure! I love and bless My people!

Reflection: The Holy Spirit is given to us to fashion us ever more according to the likeness of Jesus. And the more we are like Jesus, the more Jesus leads us to the Father. Do we, each day, pray to the Holy Spirit to be more open to His transforming influence? Do we strive each day to grow in union with Mary? The greater our union with our Mother, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, the greater is the transforming action of the Holy Spirit within us.

8. Revelation 12: 1-2  Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, robed with the sun, standing on the moon, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant, and in labour, crying aloud in the pangs of childbirth.

R. Mary comes and she appears as Our Lady of Light to us. We are the Children of the light. It is in meditating on Their lives in the rosary that we will learn to love God more and more. It is through the Hearts of Jesus and Mary that we are led to deeper union with God.

9. Hail Mary

10. From the Priestly Newsletter Book III by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

The Holy Spirit And Mary

The late Archbishop Luis M. Martinez of Mexico strikingly speaks of the ongoing cooperation of Mary with the Holy Spirit regarding the reproduction of Jesus within us: "Christian life is the reproduction of Jesus in souls…

"Now, how will this mystical reproduction be brought about in souls? In the same way in which Jesus was brought into the world, for God gives a wonderful mark of unity to all His works. Divine acts have a wealth of variety because they are the work of omnipotence; nevertheless, a most perfect unity always shines forth from them because they are the fruit of wisdom; and this divine contrast of unity and variety stamps the works of God with sublime and unutterable beauty.

"In His miraculous birth, Jesus was the fruit of heaven and earth…The Holy Spirit conveyed the divine fruitfulness of the Father to Mary, and the virginal soil brought forth in an ineffable manner our most loving Savior, the divine Seed, as the prophets called Him…

"That is the way He is reproduced in souls. He is always the fruit of heaven and earth.

"Two artisans must concur in the work that is at once God’s masterpiece and humanity’s supreme product: the Holy Spirit and the most holy Virgin Mary. Two sanctifiers are necessary to souls, the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, for they are the only ones who can reproduce Christ.

"Undoubtedly, the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary sanctify us in different ways. The first is the Sanctifier by essence; because He is God, who is infinite sanctity; because He is the personal Love that completes, so to speak, the sanctity of God, consummating His life and His unity, and it belongs to Him to communicate to souls the mystery of that sanctity. The Virgin Mary, for her part, is the co-operator, the indispensable instrument in and by God’s design. From Mary’s maternal relation to the human body of Christ is derived her relation to His Mystical Body which is being formed through all the centuries until the end of time, when it will be lifted up to the heavens, beautiful, splendid, complete, and glorious.

"These two, then, the Holy Spirit and Mary, are the indispensable artificers of Jesus, the indispensable sanctifiers of souls. Any saint in heaven can co-operate in the sanctification of a soul, but his co-operation is not necessary, not profound, not constant: while the co-operation of these two artisans of Jesus of whom we have just been speaking is so necessary that without it souls are not sanctified (and this by the actual design of Providence), and so intimate that it reaches to the very depths of our soul. For the Holy Spirit pours charity into our heart, makes a habitation of our soul, and directs our spiritual life by means of His gifts. The Virgin Mary has the efficacious influence of Mediatrix in the most profound and delicate operations of grace in our souls. And, finally, the action of the Holy Spirit and the co-operation of the most holy Virgin Mary are constant; without them, not one single character of Jesus would be traced on our souls, no virtue grow, no gift be developed, no grace increased, no bond of union with God be strengthened in the rich flowering of the spiritual life.

"Such is the place that the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary have in the order of sanctification. Therefore, Christian piety should put these two artisans of Christ in their true place, making devotion to them something necessary, profound, and constant." 18

18. Archbishop Luis M. Martinez, The Sanctifier, op. cit. pp. 5-7.

The Finding of Our Lord Jesus in the Temple

1. Luke 2: 41-43  Every year his parents used to go to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. When he was twelve years old, they went up for the feast as usual. When the days of the feast were over and they set off home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without his parents knowing it.

2. R. When they realized that Jesus was not with them their hearts were in such sorrowing and they returned to find Him.

3. R. From the prophesy of Simeon, Mary knew much - she knew of the sufferings to come. Jesus, in His Divine knowing, knew things. There was such intimacy between Jesus and Mary. We look at the pictures of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and we see the look upon the faces of Jesus and Mary who knew they would suffer. It is in looking at that picture we see this deep intimacy between Their Hearts for They knew so many things in Their Hearts. Such oneness, They shared in Their Hearts from the first moment of conception.

4. R. Jesus calls us to such oneness in our hearts, oneness with the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, oneness in our hearts with one another. As it said in the reading in the Novena: to be in one mind, that we would be joined in one heart with one another, in deepest love. It said that they were in one mind, all of us living according to the Father's will and there would not be any bumping of heads. We would all live as in one heart and one mind, loving God.

5. Mary: I am Mary, your Mother, my dear little children. I call, I call, I call and my words fall on deaf ears, for who hears my cry? I stood beneath the cross of my Son and I knew many of my little children would be lost. I am calling out to you to come to the Heart of my Son. It is in your union with Him that He will live within you and minister to this hurting world. You are my children of the light that I am sending into the darkness. Open wide your heart and let my Son fill you with His burning love.

6. Mary: Satan is so strong in this world today. I call out to you, my children of the light, to pray the rosary. The rosary is a strong weapon against Satan. Pray the rosary as a family. Gather your children and pray the rosary. Teach them about our lives that they will know how they should live. You are my children of the light that I am sending into this sick world to spread this light. I call out to you from a Heart that is aching to reach my little children. Reach the little lost children in the world today. How my Heart cries out and who listens?

7. R. We are given such gifts that God speaks to us and that Mary calls to us. We are given great graces to join closer in Their Hearts. In these rosaries Jesus and Mary have promised graces to grow interiorly in our union with Them and as we grow in this union and They operate through us to the world, we carry the light within us. Who are we that God loves us so much, in all of our sinfulness and our faults, that we are given these great graces? Let us thank God for these gifts.

We open our hearts so wide to receive all of the gifts given with such gratitude and love and vow at this moment to love Him ever more fervently, for it is in loving Him, in dwelling in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and consecrating ourselves totally to their Hearts that there will be peace in this world.

8. Mary: I am Mary, your Mother. My little lost children are suffering and in pain, and I call out to you to deliver this message again and again, in my Immaculate Heart, to my little children. Please listen to this message one more time. I call out to you, for the souls of so many will be lost for their sins. I am Mary, your Mother, and I am calling out to you to listen to me.

9. Mary: Do you see the slaughter of the minds of children? Do you see the children as they walk the malls? Do you see the sin - the babies murdered in the wombs of their mothers? You are my children of light. Come to the tabernacle, come to Mass daily and pray the rosary with all your hearts. Pray each and every prayer, for you do not know the power of a heartfelt prayer.

I am Mary, your Mother, and I am petitioning that you receive abundant graces to join ever closer to the Heart of my Son. As you dwell in Our Hearts you will be saturated with His Divine light and your light will shine in the darkness.

10. Hail Mary

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Reflect on the Word - Cycle B —  The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - The Word Alive in Our Hearts

Priestly Newsletter 2000 Issue 1
Audio CD - Read by Father Edward J. Carter
$ 10.00  plus postage

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #1 - CD. - Christ is Our Strength - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our-selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #2 - CD. - Suffering: A Source of Life - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. Fr. Carter knew suffering that year. His voice is so powerful as he read each Newsletter from his heart and soul. "Every man has his own share in the redemption. Each one is also called to share in that suffering through which the redemption was accomplished. He is called to share in that suffering through which all human suffering has also been redeemed. In bringing about the redemption through suffering, Christ has also raised human suffering to the level of the redemption. Thus each man in his suffering can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ..." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
