the spring flowers will come out all over, the air will be
fresh and the breeze dance across our foreheads and
we will be warmed by a golden sun high above that sheds
golden rays down on our weary little bodies.
A hand greater than ours runs this vast universe.
I am a grandma and I look into the eyes of a little child
that one day is not here and then all of a sudden, the cries
and little body of a beautiful baby comes to us, with
little fingers and toes and a little heart waiting for love in
the big world.

I had never led the rosary except at home and with my children and then we took turns. Father Carter said again "lead the rosary" and so I did. Then he said when a few people joined us "Sing a Song" I thought okay, I guess I can do it without a piano so I did it. |

That began my career of leading and praying the rosary in
public.
The day is sunny and the sky is Virgin Mary blue, – what is
that you say?
One day I hadn't seen Mary (only once she had appeared
July 17, 1993 in my dining room) and then that July 5, 1994
I would see Mary daily for 14 months. And I began to
know the
Hearts of Jesus and Mary from the way they spoke
to me when I
received the rosaries in the Red Rosary book.
The message I remember so deeply implanted in
my soul those last 9 months Mary appeared daily was to reach
the schools with the rosary and the meditations and consecration
cards. Our president sent out this picture of Mary this
year.

Messenger: In October, 2000 we had
requests for over
80,000 rosaries from Catholic schools and we
didn't have rosary makers to fill them,
but we did
finally get all the rosaries for the schools that requested
them and are sending them out to them now.
Mary especially likes Walter's rosaries for the schools,
you can get packets by calling Morrow or e-mailing
and we can send them to you if you want to make
rosaries for the schools. We
have
a rosary factory in
Florida in the Virgin Mary building. Here is a

Excerpt from The Spirituality of Fatima and Medjugorje
During this same July apparition, Mary showed the three children a vision of Hell. She told them:
You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish, in the world, devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If people do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.
The war (World War I, then raging) is going to end. But if people do not stop offending God, another and worse one will begin in the reign of Pius XI. When you shall see a night illuminated by an unknown light [January 2, 1938], know that this is the great sign that God gives you that He is going to punish the world for its many crimes by means of war, hunger, and persecution of the Church and the Holy Father. (12)
To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of Reparation on the five first Saturdays. If my requests are granted, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. if not, she will scatter her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be destroyed....
But in the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, Russia will be converted, and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world. (13)
The October 13 vision was accompanied by the great Miracle of the Sun described in the previous chapter. In her message that day, Our Blessed Mother told the children:
I am the Lady of the Rosary. I have come to warn the faithful to amend their lives and to ask pardon for their sins. They must not offend Our Lord any more, for He is already too grievously offended by the sins of men. People must say the Rosary. Let them continue saying it every day.(17)

May 31, 1994 During the summer of 1993, Father Edward J. Carter, S.J., Professor of Theology at Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, began to receive mystical locutions (messages) from Jesus and Mary on a regular basis. In a message given on May 31, 1994, Jesus asked Father Carter to begin the publication of a spirituality newsletter for priests. To be sent to more than 60,000 priests in the U.S.A., and also to priests in other countries, the newsletter is published by Shepherds of Christ Publications, an arm of Shepherds of Christ Ministries, and will be distributed bi-monthly. The title of the newsletter is Shepherds of Christ. Jesus has asked that chapters be formed to pray for the needs of priests around the world. The chapters are to pray in a special way for the spiritual success of the priestly newsletter, as well as to aid in the financial support of this publication. The chapters and members are to be called Shepherds of Christ Associates. Our Lord has stressed that Shepherds of Christ Associates become an international movement. |
October 13, 1994 Jesus speaks: 'My beloved priest-companion, today I come to you with another mission. I am asking you to establish Shepherds of Christ Ministries. At My request you have already begun the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the prayer chapters, Shepherds of Christ Associates... 'I am giving you this message on this day, the 77th Anniversary of the Great Apparition at Fatima, because of the close connection between the Shepherds of Christ movement and the Fatima message. The Fatima message is centered in devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart, especially in consecration to Our Hearts. Shepherds of Christ Ministries is also centered in devotion to Our Hearts. I will use Shepherds of Christ Ministries as a great instrument in helping to bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. Jesus speaks: I am the Bread of Life. I give you My Word and the Eucharist to feed you. Father Carter is My Bread of Life priest. It is through these messages given to the messenger and through the priestly newsletter that I wish the hungry souls to come for My ardent on fire love.

Mary speaks: I
appeared all through the century to you my beloved
earth.
At the end of the century My Son Jesus wrote through
my messengers Rita and Father Carter to help
bring about the Completion of the Mission
I began at Fatima, to help bring about
the Reign of His Sacred Heart.
Oh my children, please help me.
I am the Lady clothed with the sun,
I am the Lady of the Clouds.
I appear in sky color to you.
Revelation 12: 1-2
Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, robed with the sun, standing on the moon, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant, and in labour, crying aloud in the pangs of childbirth.
Messenger: I write now to you.
Messenger: The last day Father said Mass he was really sick,
he said it and then went in the hospital. He was
so holy.
His whole life was dedicated to writing about the
spiritual life. He coughed every time he talked all summer,
but he managed to write down his grand synopsis
of
the spiritual life in the 20 page Newsletter he wrote
in
June. He was determined to get it done. He wrote 17
books
and 33 Newsletters for the priests and the world
in
the last 33 years of the second millennium. Jesus
told
him to begin the movement in 1994.
He had a Doctor's in theology. I wish everyone could have
seen him those months when he wrote the last Newsletter
on Work. He knew labor. He labored hard to get all his
writings to us. Reading his Newsletter on work should
show us how a dying man who gave his life for
Jesus
and to bring the great Reign of peace
thought
as he labored to bring that writing to us.
The second to the last newsletter, the 20 page
Newsletter, was a summation of the spiritual life.
This
Newsletter he knew would go on forever and ever
in the
Church helping priests and all men.
Our Lord told him to begin the Movement and begin Prayer Chapters.
This was in 1994 on the feast of St. Ignatius. Father
Carter was a Jesuit
priest, it was on the feast of St.
Ignatius he got the message to begin the
Newsletter and the Prayer Chapters to help bring
about the Completion
of the Mission Mary began at
Fatima. 6 years later the Newsletter
goes to 75,000 priests. It goes in English and
Spanish in 90
countries, over 245-250 bishops and
cardinals use the Newsletter
for their dioceses.
After Father went into the hospital I hardly saw Father after
that, in the 3 months I talked to him
several times on the phone
daily and communicated to him through the fax. I went to a few
Masses a priest said and
they wheeled in the sick, skinny, priest
I loved so much, but most
of my time those last 3 months were
doing what he told me to do. Jesus had directed him to continue
the work of the Newsletter with his writings and to get the Prayer
Chapters
started all over the world to help with the Completion
of the
Fatima Mission. When he was in the hospital I saw him a
good part of the day. I met with him for a long time in the parlor
in November at his residence but most of the communication was
through long telephone conversations and faxes working to
continue this mission as Jesus had instructed him. The last time I
saw him was December 14, 2000, 4 days before he died. Here is
the picture of that meeting. It was at his Jesuit residence.
Messenger: Father worked so hard on that 20 page Newsletter,
it
was the synopsis of his whole life and he wrote about
the
spiritual life, our life with God and he was taping it
so he
could see if there were any typo's etc. He worked
so hard to make
everything perfect, so no errors were
in any writings, so they could
be passed on and circulated
to Cardinals, bishops and priests all over
the world.
He was sick when he was reading it, but he forced
himself
and he explained how it was set up to me. He told
me
about it. In the Newsletter he talked about the overview
of
the Spiritual life, the life of grace through baptism,
our relationship with Jesus who is
Mediator.
He wrote of our relationship with the Father, the
Holy
Spirit and Mary. Then he told me (all this from
the table of contents of the newsletter) how we live out the
spiritual life in the Church. The Heart of the
Spiritual
life is in the sacraments and the Eucharist.
Father says in his newsletter on priesthood
"Through the sacrament of Holy Orders,
Jesus has
provided His Church with priests who play a major
role
in the dispensing of this life which
Jesus
has come to give and to give most
abundantly."
Priesthood is key to the life of the Church.
Prayer is the key exercise of the spiritual life.
And I quote from Father's Newsletter about our relationship
with
others.
"Growth in the Christ-life gives us an increased
awareness of our relationships with others.
That is to say, the true Christian is keenly aware
that, to a great degree, God intends each of us to
press on toward maturity in the spiritual life
through proper relationships with our fellow
human beings."
From Father's Newsletter on the Christian and the World I quote:
"God calls us to share His love for His creation.
Growth in Christ develops our awareness of this
truth. The Christian should have a deeper love for
the world than the non-believer."
Purification
Growth in the spiritual life entails an ongoing
and progressive purification.
Faith
From Father's Newsletter on the Vision of Faith I quote
"Through faith we share in God’s knowing activity
in a special way, and we are able to know God and
creation in relationship to God in a supernatural,
God-like fashion.
If we are to properly progress in the spiritual life,
we must allow this vision of faith to more and more
penetrate our activities."
Hope
The virtue of trust is extremely important for
growth in the spiritual life.
From Response to God's Love I quote
"Christian hope is a virtue that allows us to tend toward God
in Christ as our absolute fulfillment, our absolute future. Hope
allows us to trust that God will grant us the graces necessary to
achieve this goal."
Humility
Humility is a very important virtue given to us
for the spiritual journey.
One of the blocks to the spiritual life, Father said,
was lack of humility.
Strength in Weakness
We must realize our weakness and see our
strength is in Him.
Living in the Present Moment
I quote from Father
"I suggest that one of the most difficult acts
of self-discipline in the spiritual journey
is to concentrate on the present moment."
This is necessary Father says for growth in the spiritual life.
Surrender to God
We must surrender to God. We give ourselves more
and more to Jesus.
We are guided through the Church
Mind and Heart
We cannot become heartless and too much
focused in our minds.
The Mystical Life
The mystical life is the relative ultimate development
of the spiritual life itself.
Father talks about the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and
the life of Consecration.

Messenger: Father wrote his whole life about the Spiritual life,
his first book Response in Christ
is the beginning.
In the new Newsletter he explains the
Christian Life of Grace.
In it he explains grace in general. He
explains the Graced Christian, their

Holy Spirit, Mary, the members of the
Church, and the relationship with
man and his world.

He said the spirituality handbook was

all Shepherds of Christ
members
should read it over and
over.
This is on tape as Father
Carter
reads it.
The Newsletter issue 3, 2000 was a great work.
He
worked hard and he told me how Jesus
wanted
it out and told me how important
it
was.
We struggled so much for money for it. It was hard
on Father writing it while he was literally dying.
He told us Jesus said it must go out. After
he worked so hard to meet the deadline, we did
not
have money for the Newsletter and it was
held
up. Father was upset because Jesus told
him
it must go out. God the Father gave me
strong
messages to get this newsletter out.
I felt that God might punish the earth
because
even after Mary appeared on the
building
we couldn’t get help to pay for the
newsletter.
Father prayed every day at Mass. He wanted to
please
God.
He was told of the urgency of this.
Finally someone gave us the money.
The person told us he promised Jesus while visiting
Rome that he would help us.
Do you believe? Do you realize the gift given to us
in
Father Carter's writings. He was directed
to
write to the priests. We have struggled
for
money to do what God asked him to do.
I have cried for help to do what Our Lord and Our
Lady
have
asked for.
We just don't know the gifts
in
Father
Carter’s writings and how it is
so
important to help bring about this
great
Reign of the Sacred Heart.
Here is an excerpt from a letter I recently wrote
to a man on March 8, 2001.
. .
.This
Newsletter was Father Carter’s 32nd Newsletter out of the 33 he published
while
he was alive (speaking of Father Carter's newsletter An Overview
of the Spiritual Life). It was his “baby” to help lead the priest into a deeper love
union with Jesus and help them in their spiritual life. In the 17 books he wrote
the last 33 years of the second millennium (the last 33 years of his life) they were
written with this deep connection to Jesus. All his books went through strict
discernment and most have the Imprimatur, I think all the
Nihil Obstat
He
was praying every day for funds for the Newsletter to be sent to
the 75,000 priests. We operate on donations. Father prayed
at Mass every day for this. We pray with all our hearts, in China,
Indiana, our Eucharistic Center, where the
international mailing
is sent from. They pray on the hour (during the day) for all the needs
of the
movement and they pray at least a couple of hours every night
at 6:20 all before the tabernacle. We have a retreat every
month for 48 hours before the
exposed Eucharist praying
so hard for grace to be outpoured on the souls of the
earth,
telling Jesus how much we love Him. We want to make reparation
to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary for the offenses against them and we
offer our prayers at this retreat for this.
We
plead for grace for the souls of the earth. We pray
united as a body.
Father
gave me instructions to get the Newsletter Issue 1, 2001 out in
January with his writing on Grace. I just never realized
he would be dead. It costs us
$70,000 to send the Newsletter
to the Priests for Printing and Postage. We pray
hard and the funds come.
We prayed so hard for Father’s 20 page Newsletter
and a
man came and he promised Jesus he would help us while he
was in Rome. He wanted to give the money to help
Jesus, he said.
It
is really hard. In October we had over 80,000 orders for
rosaries for schools. We have to get people to make
all these rosaries. Sometimes we don’t
send the rosaries
because we don’t have people to make them.
Sometimes we
don’t send them because
we don’t have
funds to send them.
Our
Lady wants all things being shipped from our
Eucharistic Center in China Indiana…
The
man who donates money must realize what a light they are
to
the world. The Newsletter goes to 75,000 priests who affect millions
of people in Churches, in the Body of Christ and others all over the world.
Now
we are struggling so much to send out this Newsletter
Issue 1, 2001 to so many priests that Father taught about Jesus. This
instrument Jesus told him to write. We will tell
them about his death and then give about 50,000 priests in the
US the prayer manual to begin Prayer Chapters.
This is what Jesus told Father
Carter to do, to begin these prayer
chapters. Jesus said He would give great grace
to those who pray the prayers
to
lead
them to the depth of His Heart and His
Mother’s Heart.
75,000
Priests will get the Newsletter that talks
about the Morning Offering. When Father Laurentin did
his article on Clearwater he included the little prayer
of morning
offering Jesus gave me in French.
Now so many priests will think more
about consecration
and the morning offering from reading the Newsletter. If people
offered up their days in union with the Mass, so much
grace could be outpoured on the earth. This
could change the face of the earth.
This Newsletter Father wanted. We are on
the
mountain top now.
Father is interceding from the other
side
for grace for the world for the Reign
of the Sacred Heart
in all Hearts.
If priests began prayer chapters all
over the
world with the Prayers Jesus gave
Father Carter it
could help majorly to bring to completion the
mission Mary began at Fatima that the
Sacred Heart will Reign in the hearts of
men on this earth.
We are at battle. This is the war.
Christ is Victorious.
We want to reach the
souls so more will go to heaven, so they will be
on the right side with Jesus.
This is our mission, to pray for the
souls, the priests, the Church
and the world and to get others to be united with us praying
for the priests the Church and the world.
We are sending this current Newsletter
