From Today's Mass

Jeremiah 11:18-20

Jeremiah persecuted at Anathoth

Yahweh informed me and I knew it; you then revealed their scheming to me. I for my part was like a trustful lamb being led to the slaughterhouse, not knowing the schemes they were plotting against me, ‘Let us destroy the tree in its strength, let us cut him off from the land of the living, so that his name may no longer be remembered!’

Yahweh Sabaoth,
   whose judgement is upright,
tester of motives and thoughts,
I shall see your vengeance on them,
for I have revealed my cause to you.

John 7:40-53

Fresh discussions on the origin of the Messiah

Some of the crowd who had been listening said, ‘He is indeed the prophet,’ and some said, ‘He is the Christ,’ but others said, ‘Would the Christ come from Galilee? Does not scripture say that the Christ must be descended from David and come from Bethlehem, the village where David was?’ So the people could not agree about him. Some wanted to arrest him, but no one actually laid a hand on him. The guards went back to the chief priests and Pharisees who said to them, ‘Why haven’t you brought him?’ The guards replied, ‘No one has ever spoken like this man.’ ‘So,’ the Pharisees answered, ‘you, too, have been led astray? Have any of the authorities come to believe in him? Any of the Pharisees? This rabble knows nothing about the Law—they are damned.’ One of them, Nicodemus—the same man who had come to Jesus earlier—said to them, ‘But surely our Law does not allow us to pass judgement on anyone without first giving him a hearing and discovering what he is doing?’ To this they answered, ‘Are you a Galilean too? Go into the matter, and see for yourself: prophets do not arise in Galilee.’

March 16, 2002

Dedicated to my sister Catherine, a religious sister for 26 years

Messenger:     Oh Jesus, I want to write to You. I thank You for the
opportunity to write and talk about my relationship
                            with You.

Today at Mass, I saw my deep connection as Your
spouse as never before. How one I am with You
as Your spouse offering up the sacrifice of myself
                            to the Father.

It is a beautiful symphony, the Mass. Such oneness
and harmony of all of the parts playing all at
once the beautiful drama of the Mass.

The word 'one' is there, I am so one with my Father, in
offering this sacrifice, I am so one with my beloved
spouse, so one with the Holy Spirit in offering
                            such a holy sacrifice.

It is the sacrifice of Calvary, sacramentally made
                            present in the Mass.

I offer myself to the Father.
I give myself completely to Him united to my
                            beloved spouse Jesus.

I stand under the cross with Mary, I come dwelling
in her Immaculate Heart and I come in the
Heart of Jesus, the Divine God.

My offering is so much more pure as I come
                            dwelling in Their Hearts.

And the Mass can be described as a symphony.
We play our part as deep intercessors.

The love within me swells for my Divine God,
                            each Person.

I relate to my beloved God in the way I am in this
relationship with God how I have matured to this point
in my life with each Person.

My deep union with the Father is working in
                                this symphony of love.

My deep union with Jesus, my beloved spouse
is in this holy sacrifice I offer.

My deep union with the Holy Spirit is there,
I am flooded with this deep love for
God, I am so one with God in offering
                                this Holy Sacrifice.

And I see with great vision. I feel this deep
oneness I have with all the saints and angels,
the souls in purgatory and all the souls of
                                the earth.

I want to write so deeply about what happens
inside of me in offering this holy sacrifice.
I want to write about the depth of
union I feel with all the souls and
                                    my oneness with God.

March 16, 2002 message continues

Messenger:     And we beg at the beginning of Mass for
grace to be outpoured and we unite in
such depth to all I have mentioned and
I pray so deeply to God and ask God to
outpour His grace on the troubled souls
in the world and all our priests and on our
                            Church.

We are so excited to come together to offer this
Holy Sacrifice and pray this way and we
know that God will hear our deep prayer
                            and outpour His grace.

Oh God, such an opportunity for grace in
the Mass, we are so excited indeed,
so excited for this gift and opportunity
to be able to be at Mass.

In the Mass I experience deep union with God.
For me it is my deep expression of the
love I have for the Divine God.

March 16, 2002 message continues

Messenger:         The Mass is a sacrifice.

I offer this sacrifice to God.

I know I receive an outpouring of His grace
for my special needs, and grace is
outpoured for the souls of the earth.

                            I tell God thanks.

                            I petition God.

I want to help make reparation to God for
                                the offences against Him.

The Mass is to help atone for the sins of men.
The Mass helps me know God more deeply.
I receive special blessings in the Mass.

When we love someone many things happen
when we get together with them. There is
                        relating to them.

I feel like when I go to the Mass, I unite
in a deep, deep way with the Divine God,
all of heaven and the souls on earth.
I feel connected to the souls in purgatory.

I love to go to Mass. It is in the Mass
I unite so deeply with the Divine God I want
this deep union with God. When I go to Mass
there is a harmony in my soul with the men of
this earth and all those in heaven. I feel this deep,
deep oneness I cannot explain, I feel a fullness,
I want to go to Mass and receive communion
for there is no place on this earth where I feel so
deeply united to God and with others in heaven
and on earth as I feel in the Mass.

There is so much I want to write about,
but I shudder to do so for some may fault
me for how I express myself in explaining my
spousal relationship with the Divine God.

More and more my focus is on heaven. My life
here below is a journey. It can be compared to
going to school and learning and the "pay
off" in the end is the diploma, but it really
isn't like that at all even though I use it to
                        describe the journey.

The "pay-off" for me is the fullness and
completeness I will experience in existing
in loving union with the Divine God for all
eternity. My life is that of being mystically
married to Our God, of living more my
spousal union with God and being united in
the deepest possible union with my Divine
                        God for all eternity.

And the journey really is of maturing
more and more in my loving union with each
Person of the Trinity and my relationship
                        with others for all eternity.

I grow in my loving union with the saints
every day. I advance more deeply in my
relationship with them. I know them more
deeply as I pray through their powerful
intercession. I unite more deeply to God
and in so doing I am more deeply united to
the saints in heaven. God has outpoured His
grace to me to love the saints so deeply.
He is the initiator, He gives the grace,
the relationship advances on very little
effort from me. God through His grace
unites my life deeper to the lives of the
                        saints.

A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb,
the Bridegroom of the Soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

March 16, 2002 message continues

Messenger:         Also God in His loving gifts of outpouring
His grace upon me gives me grace to love
so deeply His precious souls on the earth.
He gives me the vision to see the earth the
way He so desires with men loving God
so deeply and living according to God's
will, making the Sacred Heart of Jesus
the King and center of their lives.

I am not afraid for His hand is ever
upon Me and His Power is that of the
                        Almighty God.

This is reality. That God IS and is
                        Unchangeable and Almighty. God is
love and He shares His Divine Life with
us. I am saturated more and more with
His life. He outpours this to me especially
in the Eucharist where He is Truly
Present in His Divinity and Humanity.

March 16, 2002 message continues

Messenger:     This was the message Jesus gave to me
all through the Blue Books as He so
tenderly wrote His letters of love.

He cried out of the neglect given to Him
                        in the Eucharist.

He cried out of His desire to be loved.
He said He outpours grace to the souls
who spend twenty minutes with Him
after reception of the Eucharist and
He outpours grace to those who
come and adore Him when He is
present in the Sacred Host being
                            exposed or in the tabernacle.

I write of the Divine God and His desire
to love us so deeply and wanting
us to relate to Him and love Him
                            and adore Him.

I may write about a relationship with a
friend and may have trouble expressing
this love in words, but to write of my
                            loving relationship with the Divine
God, it feels very difficult to express
and yet He beckons me to do so.

There has been so much intimacy I have
experienced with the Divine God in Mass
and after Mass and before the tabernacle.
I know Him so intimately, but I am sure
what I write here is only scratching the
                        surface.

This is real, that God desires us to be
united deeply to Him. This is real, that we
can unite so intimately with God.

For all eternity if we love and serve our
God, as He desires, we will engage in the
deepest love union with our Divine God.

The more deeply we are united to our God
and all others, the more deeply we can
unite to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
being offered all over the world, all
                        through the day.

As members of the body of Christ we
are united to the Masses being celebrated
around the world. We want to unite all
of our activities to those Masses to help
bring down great grace for the priests,
                        the Church and the world.

Our life is lived in offering our lives as a
sacrifice in helping in the work of
                                 redemption.

We live in the moment, uniting all of our activities
to the Mass to help bring down grace for
the sake of souls and to help promote
the Kingdom. We tell God we are sorry for
our sins and sorry we have offended
                                Him and pray for mercy.

God is all Powerful, He is the Creator, it is
foolish for the creatures to ignore the
Creator. The child of God the Father
should always be aware of their union
with God and the souls of this earth.
We are here to help in the work of
                                redemption.

                            We are on a journey.
                            This is real.
The veil between heaven and earth seems
thinner and thinner for me as I
work ever harder to unite ever
deeper to my God and the souls.

In some of the ecstasies I have received and
insights I have been given, they have been
accompanied by a golden "see-through" veil
that sparkled that I cannot really explain
                                any further.

I described this thus in previous daily messages.

Excerpt from November 18, 1999

Jesus speaks:  I have given to My messenger the vision of the beauty of a celestial aura that has covered My sanctuary at certain times.

I give to you this vision. Picture the lights of heaven as a celestial veil of little gold dust, as snowflakes so close together and a veil of dense little mystical snowflakes covering the sanctuary where the Lord is in the Eucharist exposed or at the Consecration of the Mass.

end of excerpt from November 18, 1999

Excerpt from January 7, 2001

Messenger:  When I received beautiful visions, many times a golden veil would come down as I described above. It was such a beautiful aura of golden light, like a golden veil and all I could use to describe it was snowflakes. It doesn't look exactly like that either, it is the only way I can think of to describe it.

March 16, 2002 message continues

Messenger:           It was a golden transparent veil, but most of
the experiences were deep mystical experiences
and ecstasies where I am existent so
very deeply in God and lifted into a place
where I know deep insights into the
                                hidden mysteries, insights and
ecstasies in being so deeply saturated
with light and wrapped in the
embrace of the love of the Divine
God, knowing so deeply the love
of each Person as God acts on my
                                soul.

I want to write about that which is
mystical and I know so well in my
soul and yet it is so very difficult to put into
words or even explain my relationship with
my God and the other souls. There is enormous
                                oneness, harmony, love, satisfaction,
longing for more, wanting and satisfaction
in the same moment and greater understanding
into the depth of what it is, a little, to be
united to the infinite, all perfect all
                                Powerful God.

I love to read that scripture about the
                            unseen God.

Colossians 1: 15-20

Christ is the head of all creation

He is the image of the unseen God,
the first–born of all creation,
for in him were created all things
in heaven and on earth:
everything visible
    and everything invisible,
thrones, ruling forces,
    sovereignties, powers—
all things were created through him
    and for him.
He exists before all things
and in him all things hold together,
and he is the Head of the Body,
that is, the Church.

He is the Beginning,
the first–born from the dead,
so that he should be supreme in every way;
because God wanted all fullness
    to be found in him
and through him
to reconcile all things to him,
everything in heaven
    and everything on earth,
by making peace through his death
    on the cross.

March 16, 2002 message continues

Messenger:              We are here below and we get so caught up in
the things of this earth, but the presence
of God and the concept of vastness
                            is always before us.
The sky so far above us, the clouded abyss
out there as we travel the skies in an airplane,
the vastness of the ocean, the sand on the
sea shore, the cells in the body, the
possibilities for human life, and reproduction
of other living things on the earth...
Where does our desire to know about
the mystery of God end? It doesn't!! It doesn't end.

From the words of Fr. Carter, S.J.
in his book
Response to God's Love

                                 1

The Mystery of Christ and
            Christian Existence

Etymologically, the word mystery basically means that which is secret or hidden. It was used in a religiously technical sense even before Christianity. Mystery was used, for example, to designate certain religious rites of pagan Hellenism, secret rites that were closed to outsiders unless they had been properly initiated into them. In relation to Egyptian hermeticism, the word mystery was applied to initiation into secret religious ideas or doctrines. In reference to Christianity, God himself is the ultimate mystery. Radically, God is completely other and transcendent, hidden from man in his inner life, unless he chooses to reveal himself. Let us briefly look at this inner life of God.

The Father, in a perfect act of self-expression, in a perfect act of knowing, generates his son. The Son, the Word, is, then, the immanent expression of God's fullness, the reflection of the Father. Likewise, from all eternity, the Father and the Son bring forth the Holy Spirit in a perfect act of loving.

At the destined moment in human history, God's self-expression, the Word, immersed himself into man's world. God's inner self-expression now had also become God's outer self-expression. Consequently, the mystery of God becomes the mystery of Christ. In Christ, God tells us about himself, about his inner life, about his plan of creation and redemption. He tells us how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire to dwell within us in the most intimate fashion, how they wish to share with us their own life through grace. All this he has accomplished and does accomplish through Christ. St. Paul tells us: "I became a minister of this Church through the commission God gave me to preach among you his word in its fullness, that mystery hidden from ages and generations past but now revealed to his holy ones. God has willed to make known to them the glory beyond price which this mystery brings to the Gentiles—the mystery of Christ in you, your hope of glory. This is the Christ we proclaim while we admonish all men and teach them in the full measure of wisdom, hoping to make every man complete in Christ" (Col 1:25-28).

March 16, 2002 message continues

Messenger:               Why are not more focused on
delving into the numerous possibilities of
understanding the Divine Author rather than
trying so hard to focus much of their attention
on the sordid deeds of one who does perverted
                            deeds.
Do we want the balcony or the dirt? Do
we want sun light which truly exists or
darkness which leads our hearts into
depression and despair? Do we want to study
men and a man's sordid deeds and motives or
God and His infinite goodness and love -
The mystery of God - in less than the batting
of an eye He can reveal so much knowledge
in the soul that could never be recorded
in volumes from one end of the earth
                            to the other.
Do we want to focus on sordid deeds committed
by one who has given into the tauntings of satan
or deeper and deeper insight into the hidden
                            mysteries of the Divine God??
                                        Darkness or Light?

I want to write about the power of the Mass
and the importance of our priests and what
a wonderful gift God gives us in the priest
and why it is so important we
pray for them and for our Church.

Our Church is such a gift. We should
love our Church and love the priests,
                            to pray for them.

With fewer and fewer priests, there are
fewer and fewer Masses and the Mass
is such a source for grace for all of us.

Oh the situation is serious and Our
Lord has responded by giving Fr. Carter
this message and promising so much
grace to those who pray these special prayers.

Feast of St. Ignatius

Words of Jesus to Members of Shepherds of Christ Associates:

"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.

"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.

"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."

Messenger:              We help to make reparation to the
Hearts of Jesus and Mary when we pray
the litanies and we give such honor
to Mary when we pray the litany to her.
She is blasphemed and I quote from
Fr. Carter's book Mother at My Side

Excerpt from Mother at Our Side

by Father Edward J. Carter, S.J.

There are five types of offenses and blasphemies committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary:

1. Blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception.
2. Blasphemies against Her Perpetual Virginity.
3. Blasphemies against Her Divine Maternity, in refusing
at the same time to recognize Her as the Mother of men.
4. The blasphemies of those who publicly seek to sow in
the hearts of children indifference or scorn, or even
      hatred of this Immaculate Mother.
5. The offenses of those who outrage Her directly in Her holy images.

Messenger:           The litanies to Mary honors God in the beginning
and honors Mary in her motherhood and
                                virginity, queenship, as the singular
vessel and in her Immaculate Conception.

Jesus loves us to pray the litany to the
                                Sacred Heart.

Where He is so dishonored by so many,
we give Him so much pleasure
                                honoring His Sacred Heart.

He is the King of heaven and earth.
                            He is God.
                            He is all holy.
He is the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

I saw His Heart so consumed and on fire
for love of men, 5 years before
                                Mary appeared in Clearwater
                                December 17, 1991.

His Heart was so filled with intense
fire and light. It looked as
a pot bellied stove, but this cannot
                                describe it.

                            And I received this message

December 17, 1991 His Burning Heart

Messenger:  I was alone in All Saints Church after Mass and Communion, in front of the tabernacle, when I saw the Sacred Heart. It was red around the outside, then a layer of yellow and then the brightest light in the center. I felt heat and it looked like an open furnace.

I thought about it all day and it instantly gave me peace and warmth in my heart. This is the purpose of these lettersto draw hearts to the ardent on-fire love of Jesus. I received the following message that day:

"Open your heart to the fire of God's love. He is ablaze in your heart. He wants to dwell in you and love you and others through you. Love God, yourself and one another and experience the fire set aglow in your heart and experience the warmth of His love."

Messenger:           I write of my relationship with my
Divine God, I wish I could play
a movie of what goes on in the Mass
                                inside of me.

We need to pray for our priests now!!

The situation is so serious because
                                    the shortage of priests is
                                    increasing.

                            Oh God help us!!

February 7, 2002

To whom it may concern,

We circulate the Priestly Newsletter that goes to 75,000 priests in the world. This has been circulated since 1994 at the direction of Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. who had a doctorate in Theology and taught at Xavier University for over thirty years and author of eighteen books on the spiritual life and many other various publications.

Our primary purpose is to circulate this Newsletter. We are now sending three years of Newsletters in a book of 342 pages to 75,000 priests in the United States and 90 foreign countries. A special Newsletter is enclosed with Father Carter's powerful writing on Grace (2001 issue 1). This writing is also available on tape and on disc.

Our coequal purpose is to circulate prayer manuals Father Carter compiled for prayer chapters praying for the priests, the Church and
the world.

All of our printing and postage costs so much money.

We operate from the Virgin Mary building in Clearwater, Florida, pictures are enclosed. We use the building to spread materials and rosaries
to encourage people to pray for the priests, the Church and the world.

We also have a church we received from the diocese in China, Indiana where we distribute our materials and pray before the Blessed Sacrament hourly and about two hours or more at 6:20 every day. Monthly adoration before the exposed Eucharist is held for our members for 48 hours on the 12th of each month to the 14th.

We have a third center in Morrow, Ohio which is our communication center and mailing address.

We circulate rosaries handmade to Catholic schools all over the United States and meditation sheets and consecration cards. We try to send scapulars too when we have them. We supply many beads to our rosary makers for this.

We had difficulty all last summer securing funds for beads for our rosary makers. We were not able to send the 100,000 or more rosaries we usually send in October and May because of funds.

We need $10,000 every month for the loan on the Virgin Mary building. We pray nightly there usually for about two hours or more at 6:20. We pray all through the day there, hourly, many times before the image. A big prayer meeting is held on the 5th of the month. Prayers are prayed for about 4 hours for the priests, the Church and the world. We broadcast to at least 8 states and all join in the prayers, including Morrow and China.

We have a nursing home ministry and a prison ministry. We supply coloring books of the rosary mysteries and the Mass to children.

We desperately need funds for the printing and the rosary making operation and all the postage. Bishops from foreign countries beg for rosaries and prayer sheets with the Shepherds of Christ Prayers.

Now we are struggling with the monthly rent on the building and the postage for the foreign mailing of the Priestly Newsletter Book II.

We always need money for the rosary beads for the schools and the Virgin Mary building.

We also do a Holy Spirit Novena, but the little book has been out of print for some time because of lack of funds. Teachers like to use it for confirmation. We have prayer chapters using it daily all over the world.

We want to circulate pictures of the crucifix and Mary's image on the building, we are unable to do this because of lack of funds. Enclosed are pictures of the crucifix and the Virgin Mary building.

A very important part of our Movement is trying to get people to say the Morning Offering. Here is a card we distribute extensively, especially to Nursing Homes and school children.

Here is a short form of consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary that we circulate extensively.

Can you help us. It is a real shame to not even have rent on the building Mary appears on.

We need to tell the world about the Mass. This is another important aspect of our ministry. We have so many writings about the Mass. Mass Book I with the Imprimatur—and all Fr. Carter's writings and many other writings discerned by Fr Carter before his death.

It is a shame with all the money in the world not to be able to get the rosary beads to the rosary makers for school children who want them to pray the rosary.

Our movement is trying to do what Our Lady told us to do at Fatima for peace in the world.

    Can you help us?
