Dear Friend,

I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with you in love.

Jesus asked us to finish one room in the priest house, so a priest could stay there. We have been working on this room for 6 months. We need $3,000 for the carpet, shades and furniture. Could anyone help us with a donation for the priest house to complete this room?

We have been working on the priest house for 6 years. Jesus would like a priest be able to stay there.

Thanks
Rita & Doris

                March 25, 2013 - Annunciation

                R. Adam and Eve sinned –

There-by the harmony on earth was
                    lost.
                    There was friction between man
                        and woman.

Genesis 3: 1-6

Now, the snake was the most subtle of all the wild animals that Yahweh God had made. It asked the woman, 'Did God really say you were not to eat from any of the trees in the garden?' The woman answered the snake, 'We may eat the fruit of the trees in the garden. But of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden God said, "You must not eat it, nor touch it, under pain of death." ' Then the snake said to the woman, 'No! You will not die! God knows in fact that the day you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods, knowing good from evil.' The woman saw that the tree was good to eat and pleasing to the eye, and that it was enticing for the wisdom that it could give. So she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate it.

                R. We see from the beginning after the
sin of Adam and Eve that Cain's offering
was not respected as Abel's was.

Abraham was tested by God –
Abraham proved his faith in God.

God made a Covenant with Abraham
to make him the Father of many
                    nations.

We see that we can give God what He
wants or refuse to give Him
what He wants rebelling against God.

                Sin is ingratitude to God.

We offend a good God when we
                    sin.

                We offend and hurt others
                    when we sin.

We hurt the dignity of the person
                    offended when we sin
                    against them.

God dwells in the graced, baptized
                    soul.

We do to Jesus, what we
                    do to others when we
                    sin against them.

Jesus was whipped for our sins and
His flesh torn from His body –
                    Jesus was unmercifully
                    crowned with thorns and
                    forced to carry the cross.

When we sin, we are responsible
for what we did to make
                    Jesus suffer – His hands
                    nailed to the cross, His
                    feet nailed to the cross.

                God gives us commandments –
God commands us to love –
                    Satan is hate –

God promised to send a Messiah.

The angel Gabriel appeared to Mary,
                    Mary was conceived without sin.

Luke 1: 26-38

In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the House of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. He went in and said to her, ‘Rejoice, you who enjoy God’s favour! The Lord is with you.’ She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, but the angel said to her, ‘Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God’s favour. Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.’ Mary said to the angel, ‘But how can this come about, since I have no knowledge of man?’ The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for nothing is impossible to God.’ Mary said, ‘You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.’ And the angel left her.

Luke 2: 1-7

Now it happened that at this time Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be made of the whole inhabited world. This census—the first—took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria, and everyone went to be registered, each to his own town. So Joseph set out from the town of Nazareth in Galilee for Judaea, to David’s town called Bethlehem, since he was of David’s House and line, in order to be registered together with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. Now it happened that, while they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to a son, her first–born. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the living–space.

                R. Jesus taught us
                Jesus worked miracles.
                Jesus chose Apostles to carry
                    out His work.

                Peter denied Christ, but he
                    suffered for offending God
                    and repented –
God made him vicar of the
                    Church.

                Judas was chosen too, but
                    he betrayed Jesus and
he did not go to Jesus
                    and tell Him how sorry
                    he was.

                God asks us today –

                    How are we betraying
                    Jesus in our lives when
                    Jesus calls us –

                How are we betraying Jesus
                    in our lives today –

Why do we offend God –

                Because of our sins
                    Jesus was whipped
                    and put to death –

Jesus told them to serve God –
                Jesus was eager for His
                Passion to serve God –
Jesus wants us eager to serve
God – not to be attached
                to inordinate attachments –
                power, affections, wealth –
for our own vain glory among men.

Jesus came to do His Father's will!

In St. Luke's Gospel we are
                    asked are you betraying
the Son of God with a kiss.

St. Luke wants us to do God's
                    will –

We are to serve God for His glory –
                    not be selfish and seek
                    power, affections for
                    vain glory and control.

                Why did they hate Jesus?

                R. Remember May 13, 1993 –
                    20 years ago –

Jesus says He wants to be one
                    in us.

                In the song
                    I Am Your Sacred Heart

                R. Jesus said - a person not
                    realizing this gift of
                    being pure inside, telling
the truth - can be like
                    a pigeon flapping in a
                    dark forest.

                From Blue Book 5

October 11, 1994

Take Shelter from the Rain in My Heart

(R. I saw a vision in my heart of a little wet child standing by a tree in the storm in a dark night. Just a little light, enough to see the child.)

Jesus: You are this little child. You are in the storm. The wind and the rain are beating down on you. You are cold. You are wet, as wet as you can be. You stand by a tree and the wind beats against you and the rain pounds harder.

My child, My child, there is such shelter in My most Sacred Heart. Come into My Heart, child. You will be protected from the wind that blows so hard on you. You will be out of the rain. It may pound down all around you, but your refuge is found in My Heart. My Heart is a burning furnace of love. See yourself, little child, stand by the tree and whimper and you want to go it alone? Let My Mother lead you by the hand. You, little child, come with Mary, your Mother. Let her take you to the shelter of My Heart.

John 14:6

I am the Way; I am Truth and Life....

There is not life without Me. My life I give to you that you will have life and have it abundantly. Today I give you My very own Heart on fire for love of you. Come to Me through Mary's pure and tender Heart. We will shelter you in the darkest storm.

R. When I am filled up with Your love, Lord, I do not whimper as a little child. I am filled with love and peace and joy. Take me, Mary, to the Heart of your very dear Son and place me there forever in a little pocket surrounded by His ardent love. I want to be lost deeply in the recesses of this Heart. How deep do you place me in His Heart? I want to be surrounded by the immense love of Father, Son and Holy Spirit and know, Mary, you are so closely united in this Heart!

This is the comfort in the dark, windy, wet night. This is my refuge. This is my life. This is the closest I can come to heaven on earth - to be united in such love with the Trinity and Mary!

Help me to let go of it all and come as a little child, running from the rain to the warmest shelter. A roaring fire, warmth, dry clothes and light - the light radiated by the Heart of Jesus. In the darkness I find my light in You. Alleluia. Praise God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Love to my beloved Mother. This is bliss.

Song: I am Your Sacred Heart

Jesus: Instead of being a flapping
pigeon in a dark forest –
one can come and dwell in
                    My Heart. Find refuge in
My Heart. My Heart is on
fire for love of you, I died for
                    your sins.

But I warn you, the more you
lie to yourself about sins and
anger and envy and jealousy –
                    the more angry you become
                    for you were created for
                    intimacy with God and
                    distancing yourself in
                    unrepented sin makes you
hard and angry in your hearts –

Hypocrites - those who give bad
                    example by acting as if
                    they are witnesses to Christ
                    and bear witness to
                    Beelzebub –

When I went to be judged by
                    the men - they screamed
                    crucify Him –
                    Barabbas was freed –

Did you take the hammer and
                    hammer My hand and
                    watch My hand pierced
                    by the nails –

I am forgiving the person who
                    is truly sorry for offending
                    God and others and making
                    recompense for their sins,
but to he who laughs while
                    they disrespect others –
                    I spit out their bitter
                        hatred from My mouth.
What you do to others, you
                        do to Me –

Jesus: The Mighty Medicine is the
                    Eucharist.

                You eat fish and vegetables
and fruit and animals to live –
                    you have life because
                    you eat life –

I feed you with My Body
                    and My Blood –

You have life and I feed you
                    with My life –
                    You are abundantly
                    filled by Me –

                I give you My Body
                I give you My Blood

                The devil hates the Eucharist.

You will quit being a flapping
                    bird in the wilderness
                    when you quit lying –

                They bound Me –

They led Me away whipping Me –
                    I have watched the sinners
                    whip their brothers with their
games and dishonesty – what you
do to others you do to Me.
I am the way, the truth and the life.

If you want Me to dwell in
                    you and be intimate with
                    Me – you cannot hate
                    and lie and punish
                    your brothers –

I was innocent and they beat Me –
                    whipped Me, scourged Me –
                    tore My flesh –
                    yelled, "Crucify Him" –

                They rebelled against God and
                    I was innocent – they
beat Me and beat Me –
My eyes full of Blood –
                    My teeth in My tongue

They led Me away to be crucified.

                Did you wash your hands
                    of any crime, when I
                    was whipped for how you
lied to Me and lied and
                    disrespected your brother –
                    rebelling against the
                    Father's will –

They put the cross on My back
                    and My shoulders felt
as if they were breaking –
                    Women wept for Me –
Weep for your own sins and
                        those you offended
                    when you were commanded
                        to love –

                They stretched My arms until
they pulled them - to nail
                    My hands –
                    pounding nails into My hands
                        and My feet –

I hung for 3 hours with nails
                    holding Me –
My body in pain you could
                    not even know – what
                    did I do – I was
                    innocent and I prayed
to the Father to forgive these
                    men – the men I loved –

I loved you and you betrayed
Me by lying to Me and your
                    brothers and making Me bleed.

                I hung –

The good thief asked to be forgiven,

                The bad thief like Judas
                    was hard in heart –
                    like Cain his heart was
                    hard – jealousy for his
                    brother – Cain killed
                    his brother in cold blood.

Did you nail My hands to
                    the cross with your
                    sins?

Genesis 1: 24-31

God said, ‘Let the earth produce every kind of living creature in its own species: cattle, creeping things and wild animals of all kinds.’ And so it was. God made wild animals in their own species, and cattle in theirs, and every creature that crawls along the earth in its own species. God saw that it was good.

God said, ‘Let us make man in our own image, in the likeness of ourselves, and let them be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven, the cattle, all the wild animals and all the creatures that creep along the ground.’

God created man in the image of himself,
in the image of God he created him,
male and female he created them.

God blessed them, saying to them, ‘Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven and all the living creatures that move on earth.’ God also said, ‘Look, to you I give all the seed–bearing plants everywhere on the surface of the earth, and all the trees with seed–bearing fruit; this will be your food. And to all the wild animals, all the birds of heaven and all the living creatures that creep along the ground, I give all the foliage of the plants as their food.’ And so it was. God saw all he had made, and indeed it was very good. Evening came and morning came: the sixth day.

Jesus: I see all things –
                I know your anger and
                    your lies against your
                    brother –

Genesis 1: 26-27

God said, ‘Let us make man in our own image, in the likeness of ourselves, and let them be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven, the cattle, all the wild animals and all the creatures that creep along the ground.’

God created man in the image of himself,
in the image of God he created him,
male and female he created them.

Jesus: I give you the Eucharist –
I feed you with Myself –

I have written My Blue Book
                    Messages about the
                    Mighty Medicine to all
My beloved, I died for –

Why would you not give the
ones, I died for, the Mighty Medicine
                    Mary's children are sick –
                    They need their medicine –
                    Feed the hungry –
                    Mary's children are hungry –

I give them Myself to feed
                    their souls –
                I died for them –
                I rose on the 3rd day –
I give you the Church –
I give you the sacraments –
I give you a sharing in
                    My life in baptism.

I showed Myself to them in
                    My glorified body after
                    the resurrection –

                R. Jesus is the Teacher –

Jesus: I give these writings –
                    I am your teacher –
                    Cursed for your iniquities –
I died for your sins –
By My wounds you are healed –

I give you a sharing in My
                    life in baptism –
                    and I feed that life
                    with Myself –

                I feed your soul with
                    Myself –

The devil wants you to serve
                    Him –

The devil wants to drive you
                    from intimacy with
                    Me by getting you to
                    lie and with your
                    distorted vision, see
                    through the eyes of evil.

                I give you:

Blue Book 8 See Through the
                                    Eyes of Mary –

John 15: 5-6

I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Whoever remains in me, with me in him,
bears fruit in plenty;
for cut off from me you can do nothing.
Anyone who does not remain in me
is thrown away like a branch
—and withers;
these branches are collected
     and thrown on the fire
and are burnt.

John 15: 9-17

I have loved you
just as the Father has loved me.
Remain in my love.
If you keep my commandments
you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept
    my Father’s commandments
and remain in his love.
I have told you this
so that my own joy may be in you
and your joy be complete.
This is my commandment:
love one another,
as I have loved you.
No one can have greater love
than to lay down his life for his friends.
You are my friends,
if you do what I command you.
I shall no longer call you servants,
because a servant does not know
the master’s business;
I call you friends,
because I have made known to you
everything I have learnt from my Father.
You did not choose me,
no, I chose you;
and I commissioned you
to go out and to bear fruit,
fruit that will last;
so that the Father will give you
anything you ask him in my name.
My command to you
is to love one another.

Jesus: I call you to love –
to give to others freely –
to serve God in love and with zeal.

    John 17: 20-23

I pray not only for these
but also for those
who through their teaching
will come to believe in me.
May they all be one,
just as, Father, you are in me
   and I am in you,
so that they also may be in us,
so that the world may believe
it was you who sent me.
I have given them the glory
   you gave to me,
that they may be one as we are one.
With me in them and you in me,
may they be so perfected in unity
that the world will recognise
that it was you who sent me
and that you have loved them
as you have loved me.

                Jesus: I died for you!!

                What more do you want?

                Accept Me as your Savior.

                Do you even hear My
                    voice?

You grow by obeying My Word.

By being happy to spread this
                    Good News –

Satan wants you to hate and
                    be caved in –

                Stephen was martyred
                    by Paul –

Stephen died for his faith –

                The Apostles were fearless
to their death – to bring
                    this good news –

Will you not spread the Blue Books?

                R. Jesus washed their feet.

                Satan hates the Eucharist –

                Satan doesn't want people –
                    praying before the Eucharist –

Satan wants hate when others love –

Jesus: When the just man speaks, the devil acts
                    to oppose the truth.

                R. Why did men hate Jesus?
                Why did Jesus have enemies?

When the just man acts, the
                    devil works through others
                    to oppose him.

A person who love's God, wants
                    not to offend God, the
                    good beautiful God.

                    The early Christians were
                hunted down and persecuted,
                martyred for their belief in
                Jesus Christ.

In the world today – Jesus
is denied – What are we
                doing for those today who
                are hungry?

Are we spreading the Good News?
Are we spreading the Blue Books?

Many of the Christians of the early Church
                    were sought out to
                    renounce their faith in
Jesus Christ or be put to death.

Jesus rose from the tomb –
                Jesus appeared to the Apostles
                    after His Resurrection.

The Apostles were afraid and hid
                    in the upper room
                    after Jesus' ascension –

The Holy Spirit came upon them and the
                    Blessed Mother and there
                    appeared over their head
                    parted tongues of fire.

                R. The Apostles were imprisoned
                    and they cried out –
                    "Thy will be done" –
                    They followed in Jesus' footsteps.
                    The Holy Spirit strengthened them.

                What a story –

So great was their faith in
                    Jesus many of the followers
                    of Jesus suffered martyrdom
                    and shed their blood for
                    Jesus –

                The light of Jesus –

Jesus is the Light of the World.

                The Apostles were imprisoned.
                The Apostles were joyful –
The Apostles did not give into temptation.

                Peter's discourse

Acts 10: 34-43

Then Peter addressed them, ‘I now really understand’, he said, ‘that God has no favourites, but that anybody of any nationality who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.

‘God sent his word to the people of Israel, and it was to them that the good news of peace was brought by Jesus Christ—he is the Lord of all. You know what happened all over Judaea, how Jesus of Nazareth began in Galilee, after John had been preaching baptism. God had anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and because God was with him, Jesus went about doing good and curing all who had fallen into the power of the devil. Now we are witnesses to everything he did throughout the countryside of Judaea and in Jerusalem itself: and they killed him by hanging him on a tree, yet on the third day God raised him to life and allowed him to be seen, not by the whole people but only by certain witnesses that God had chosen beforehand. Now we are those witnesses—we have eaten and drunk with him after his resurrection from the dead— and he has ordered us to proclaim this to his people and to bear witness that God has appointed him to judge everyone, alive or dead. It is to him that all the prophets bear this witness: that all who believe in Jesus will have their sins forgiven through his name.’

                R. The Earthquake

Acts 16: 25-34

In the middle of the night Paul and Silas were praying and singing God’s praises, while the other prisoners listened. Suddenly there was an earthquake that shook the prison to its foundations. All the doors flew open and the chains fell from all the prisoners. When the gaoler woke and saw the doors wide open he drew his sword and was about to commit suicide, presuming that the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted at the top of his voice, ‘Do yourself no harm; we are all here.’

He called for lights, then rushed in, threw himself trembling at the feet of Paul and Silas, and escorted them out, saying, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ They told him, ‘Become a believer in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, and your household too.’ Then they preached the word of the Lord to him and to all his household. Late as it was, he took them to wash their wounds, and was baptised then and there with all his household. Afterwards he took them into his house and gave them a meal, and the whole household celebrated their conversion to belief in God.

                R. The devil tempts –

Peter was tempted and denied Jesus
                    3 times –
                    Look at Peter after the
                    Descent of the Holy Spirit

Satan is there – trying to tempt us.

                Christ cast out demons.

                Peter denied Christ.

Jesus was tempted by the devil.

The devil wants men today to
ignore him so he can keep
                    working in secret.

St. Ignatius tells us about the
                    discernment of spirits in
                    the Spiritual Exercises –

How did Paul do all he did
                    after he was converted –

Jesus, the Son of God, was a
                    man – He had flesh
                    and blood.

                Jesus called the Apostles –
                Judas was called too --
                But Judas betrayed Jesus –

It was what was in the heart.

How is the interior offering in
                    the heart?

                Jesus called Peter, a fisherman.

                Peter and Paul were martyred.

                Paul said before his execution

2 Timothy 4: 6-8

As for me, my life is already being poured away as a libation, and the time has come for me to depart. I have fought the good fight to the end; I have run the race to the finish; I have kept the faith; all there is to come for me now is the crown of uprightness which the Lord, the upright judge, will give to me on that Day; and not only to me but to all those who have longed for his appearing.

                R. God wants us to control ourselves –
                    To not give into temptation.
If we keep sinning we become
                        a slave to sin.
We are free when we choose Christ.

God must give us grace for
                    self-control – we depend
on God – we have tendencies
                    to sin –

We have a free will to resist
                    and reject sin which
                    comes from our lower
                    nature –

We must pray for grace to resist
                    temptation –

We can't do whatever we feel!
                We can't follow our whimsical
                    impulses and pleasures.

We must curb and control our
                    passions to sin.

                We must struggle against
                    temptation and sacrifice,
                    doing what is right.

We must act by right reason,
                    not oppose right reason –
                    man has a distorted vision
of God and others and oneself.
                    Sin hurts our vision –
                        we become blind and
                        dull to the truth, the
                        more we sin.

The body exists for the soul.

                We must control ourselves
                    control our bodies –
                    impulses, desires

Galatians 5: 24

All who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified self with all its passions and its desires.

1 Corinthians 9: 24-27

Do you not realise that, though all the runners in the stadium take part in the race, only one of them gets the prize? Run like that — to win. Every athlete concentrates completely on training, and this is to win a wreath that will wither, whereas ours will never wither. So that is how I run, not without a clear goal; and how I box, not wasting blows on air. I punish my body and bring it under control, to avoid any risk that, having acted as herald for others, I myself may be disqualified.

                R. We are given these saints to
                    encourage us and to follow
                    their self-discipline and
                    denial –

Jesus gives us Himself in the
                    Eucharist: Body, Blood,
                    Soul and Divinity.
                    Jesus outpours His grace
to us, this helps us curb
                    temptation – Spread the
                    Blue Books!
                    The Mighty Medicine!

Jesus gave us the Last Supper –

John 3: 16

For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
    may not perish
but may have eternal life.

                R. Our quest for happiness is
                    in God –

                    This is our goal –
In heaven we will have the
                        beatific vision

                Baptism takes away original
sin and other sins, but we
                    suffer from tendencies
                    toward sin –

                Confirmation strengthens us
                    spiritually

                The Holy Eucharist

"Take and Eat, this is My Body,
                        do this in remembrance
                        of Me"

"This is My Blood of the
                        New Covenant, which
                        is shed for the forgiveness
                        of sins –
Do this in memory of Me"

                Jesus feeds the life we
                    receive in baptism with
                    Himself –
                    We eat His Body and
                        Drink His Blood.

Satan intends to sift us like
                    wheat.

                Peter denied Jesus –

                We have the sacrament
                    of Penance –

                We have the other sacraments:
                    Anointing of the Sick,
                    Holy Orders and Matrimony.

                Christ instituted these 7
                    sacraments.

                R. The devil works against God's
                    light –

The devil tries to turn men
                    against each other –

John 1: 11-12

He came to his own
and his own people did not accept him.

But to those who did accept him
he gave power to become children of God,
to those who believed in his name

                R. Our knowing and loving capacity
                    is elevated in baptism.

                VIRTUES – Good Habits

We must pray for an increase of the theological
virtues of faith, hope and love.
                    Also the moral virtues are
                        prudence, justice,
                        fortitude, temperance,
                        (humility, meekness
                        and chastity).

                    (adoration, piety, reverence, gratitude)

                BAD Habits – Vices –
                    Capital sins
                    (1) pride - excessive love of self –
                        loving oneself above God –
this is the beginning of all sins –

Ecclesiastes 10: 15

A fool finds hard work very tiring,
he cannot even find his own way into town.

                    R. seeking power etc. –
                        grasping for power –
from pride comes false ambition –
                        disobedience, snobbery, hypocrisy.

                    (2) Covetedness
love and desire of worldly goods
                        hard-heartedness to the poor –
                        lying
                        cheating

                    (3) Lust – inordinate liking
                        for self or indulgence
                        of the flesh –
                        loss of faith
                        chastity
                        lack of purity

                    (4) Anger –
                        St. Thomas says
                        "disordered desire of vengeance"
                        opposed to justice
                        opposed to love –
                        selfishness leading to
                        quarreling,
                        hatred,
                        fighting
                        this leads to great unhappiness
                        misery

                    Satan deceives

                    The virtues opposite of anger
                        is meekness (not combatal)
                        mildness
                        patience
                        peaceful dealing with ones neighbor

Matthew 11: 29

Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

                        Judas fled

                    (5) Gluttony:
                        inordinate desire for
                        food and drink

                    (6) Envy:

                        Unhappiness at another's
                            good and accompanied
                            by hatred and desire
                            to wish them harm

                        Envious of another's
                            success

                        also
                        – joyful at another's misfortune –
                           laughing at another's misfortune –

Envy leads to hatred and other sins

                        It is selfish –
                        It is connected to pride
                            (a sister to pride)

                        Wanting to destroy the happiness
                            of others

                        God wants us, commands us
                            to love like brothers.

                        Not being kind
                        Not helping one's brother for
                            their needs

                    (7) Sloth: Sloth is a capital
                        sin –
                        It is being lazy spiritually
                        Not wanting to strive for
                            spiritual perfection –
                            goodness –

                        Sin against giving God
                            the love we owe
                            Him –

A person sins by sloth when
                            they neglect their duties –
                            it can be spiritual
                            and religious too –

                        Puts off doing what God
                            wants them to do

                        Lazy

                        Religious indifference
                        Disinterest in prayer.
                        Disinterest in work.

God intends us to do things
                            and help build His Kingdom.

                        The slothful neglect necessary
duties that hurt God's Plan –

                        The people that are slothful
                            become a burden to others.

                        Neglect of duties religious
                            and other

                        Zeal is opposite of this.
It takes hard work and grace
                            to change.

We are to examine our conscience.

We want the vice or sin more
than we want God and His will for us –
like Eve in the garden did.

We are to examine our conscience.

Fr. Carter did it twice a day.

We must root out our faults,
one by one to grow in
                    the spiritual life and
                    be more intimate with
                    God –

The devil is always there –
He reads us like a green –
                    He knows our weakness –
                    Vices are bad habits from
                        practicing them over and
                        over again –

Sin is an act of the will to
                    turn from God –
                    this becomes our goal –
                    offense against God –

                Sin is hateful –
                Sin degrades us –
                So we feel shameful like
                    Adam and Eve –

Sin is rebellion against God –
                    Sin is rebelling against
                    God, our Creator –

                We are insulting the generosity
                    of a good God –

                God deserves to be loved.

                It is the blackest ingratitude
                    to sin against God –

We are to honor God –

                Recognize God as our Savior.

Jesus gives us the ability to have
                    salvation

                Sing: Save Us Oh Lord

                See Eve disobeying God.
                See Cain killing his brother.
                See the corruption at the
                    time of Noah –
                See Abraham's faith –
                See Joseph's brothers –

Exodus 20: 2-5

‘I am Yahweh your God who brought you out of Egypt, where you lived as slaves.

‘You shall have no other gods to rival me.

‘You shall not make yourself a carved image or any likeness of anything in heaven above or on earth beneath or in the waters under the earth.

   ‘You shall not bow down to them or serve them. For I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God and I punish a parent’s fault in the children, the grandchildren, and the great–grandchildren among those who hate me;

The Ten Commandments

  1. I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me.
  2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain.
  3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
  4. Honor your father and your mother.
  5. You shall not kill.
  6. You shall not commit adultery.
  7. You shall not steal.
  8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
  10. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.

Matthew 15: 8

This people honours me
   only with lip-service,
while their hearts are far from me.

John 16: 23

When that day comes, you will not ask me any questions. In all truth I tell you, anything you ask from the Father he will grant in my name.

Matthew 7: 7-8

‘Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. Everyone who asks receives; everyone who searches finds; everyone who knocks will have the door opened.

Jesus: I am the way, the truth and the life

                R. We owe God love –

We sin when we do not love.

Hatred of one's neighbor is wrong.

We are to know, love and
                    serve God.

From The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, by Louis J. Puhl, S.J. p. 12

                        23. FIRST PRINCIPLE AND FOUNDATION

Man is created to praise, reverence and serve God
our Lord, and by this means to save his soul.

From The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, by Louis J. Puhl, S.J. p.11

21.                     SPIRITUAL EXERCISES

Which have as their purpose the conquest of self
and the regulation of one's life in such a way that
no decision is made under the influence of any
    inordinate attachment

136. THE FOURTH DAY

        A MEDITATION ON TWO STANDARDS

The one of Christ, our supreme leader and lord,
the other of Lucifer, the deadly enemy of our
human nature

PRAYER.   The usual preparatory prayer.

window at a former Jesuit Seminary

137. FIRST PRELUDE.   This is the history. Here it will be that Christ calls and wants all beneath His standard, and Lucifer, on the other hand, wants all under his.

138. SECOND PRELUDE.   This is a mental representation of the place. It will be here to see a great plain, comprising the whole region about Jerusalem, where the sovereign Commander-in-Chief of all the good is Christ our Lord; and another plain about the region of Babylon, where the chief of the enemy is Lucifer.

139. THIRD PRELUDE.   This is to ask for what I desire. Here it will be to ask for a knowledge of the deceits of the rebel chief and help to guard myself against them; and also to ask for a knowledge of the true life exemplified in the sovereign and true Commander, and the grace to imitate Him.

FIRST PART

THE STANDARD OF SATAN

140. FIRST POINT.   Imagine you see the chief of all the enemy in the vast plain about Babylon, seated on a great throne of fire and smoke, his appearance inspiring horror and terror.

141. SECOND POINT.   Consider how he summons innumerable demons, and scatters them, some to one city and some to another, throughout the whole world, so that no province, no place, no state of life, no individual is overlooked.

142. THIRD POINT.   Consider the address he makes to them, how he goads them on to lay snares for men and bind them with chains. First they are to tempt them to covet riches (as Satan himself is accustomed to do in most cases) that they may the more easily attain the empty honors of this world, and then come to overweening pride.

The first step, then, will be riches, the second honor, the third pride. From these three steps the evil one leads to all other vices.

SECOND PART

THE STANDARD OF CHRIST

143.   In a similar way, we are to picture to ourselves the sovereign and true Commander, Christ our Lord.

144. FIRST POINT.   Consider Christ our Lord, standing in a lowly place in a great plain about the region of Jerusalem, His appearance beautiful and attractive.

145. SECOND POINT.   Consider how the Lord of all the world chooses so many persons, apostles, disciples, etc., and sends them throughout the whole world to spread His sacred doctrine among all men, no matter what their state or condition.

146. THIRD POINT.   . . .

"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.

"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.

"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."

Shepherds of Christ Associates

PRAYER MANUAL

Chapter Meeting Prayer Format

The prayer format below should be followed at chapter meetings of Shepherds of Christ Associates. All prayers, not just those said specifically for priests, should include the intention of praying for all the needs of priests the world over.

1. Hymns. Hymns may be sung at any point of the prayer part of the meeting.

2. Holy Spirit Prayer. Come, Holy Spirit, almighty Sanctifier, God of love, who filled the Virgin Mary with grace, who wonderfully changed the hearts of the apostles, who endowed all Your martyrs with miraculous courage, come and sanctify us. Enlighten our minds, strengthen our wills, purify our consciences, rectify our judgment, set our hearts on fire, and preserve us from the misfortunes of resisting Your inspirations. Amen.

3. The Rosary.

4. Salve Regina. "Hail Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, our mourning, our weeping in this vale of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary."

5. The Memorare. "Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but, in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen."

6. Seven Hail Marys in honor of the Seven Sorrows of Mary. Mary has promised very special graces to those who do this on a daily basis. Included in the promises of Our Lady for those who practice this devotion is her pledge to give special assistance at the hour of death, including the sight of her face. The seven sorrows are:

(1) The first sorrow: the prophecy of Simeon (Hail Mary).

(2) The second sorrow: the flight into Egypt (Hail Mary).

(3) The third sorrow: the loss of the Child Jesus in the temple (Hail Mary).

(4) The fourth sorrow: Jesus and Mary meet on the way to the cross (Hail Mary).

(5) The fifth sorrow: Jesus dies on the cross (Hail Mary).

(6) The sixth sorrow: Jesus is taken down from the cross and laid in Mary's arms (Hail Mary).

(7) The seventh sorrow: the burial of Jesus (Hail Mary).

7. Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, hear us. Christ, graciously hear us.
God, the Father of heaven, have mercy on us.
God, the Son, Redeemer of the world, have mercy on us.

Let us pray: O almighty and eternal God, look upon the Heart of Your dearly beloved Son and upon the praise and satisfaction He offers You in behalf of sinners and, being appeased, grant pardon to those who seek Your mercy, in the name of the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, world without end. Amen.

Promises of Our Lord to those devoted to His Sacred Heart
(these should be read by the prayer leader):

(1) I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.

(2) I will establish peace in their homes.

(3) I will comfort them in all their afflictions.

(4) I will be their refuge during life and above all in death.

(5) I will bestow a large blessing on all their undertakings.

(6) Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.

(7) Tepid souls shall grow fervent.

(8) Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.

(9) I will bless every place where a picture of My Heart shall be set up and honored.

(10) I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.

(11) Those who promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.

(12) I promise you in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the first Friday in nine consecutive months the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving their sacraments; My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

10. Prayer for Priests. "Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the Flock, we pray that in the great love and mercy of Your Sacred Heart You attend to all the needs of Your priest-shepherds throughout the world. We ask that You draw back to Your Heart all those priests who have seriously strayed from Your path, that You rekindle the desire for holiness in the hearts of those priests who have become lukewarm, and that You continue to give Your fervent priests the desire for the highest holiness. United with Your Heart and Mary's Heart, we ask that You take this petition to Your heavenly Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen"

11. Prayer for all members of the Shepherds of Christ Associates. "Dear Jesus, we ask Your special blessings on all members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. Continue to enlighten them regarding the very special privilege and responsibility you have given them as members of Your movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates. Draw them ever closer to Your Heart and to Your Mother's Heart. Allow them to more and more realize the great and special love of Your Hearts for each of them as unique individuals. Give them the grace to respond to Your love and Mary's love with an increased love of their own. As they dwell in Your Heart and Mary's Heart, abundantly care for all their needs and those of their loved ones. We make our prayer through You to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with Mary our Mother at our side. Amen"

12. Prayer for the spiritual and financial success of the priestly newsletter. "Father, we ask Your special blessings upon the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ. We ask that You open the priest-readers to the graces You wish to give them through this chosen instrument of Your Son. We also ask that You provide for the financial needs of the newsletter and the Shepherds of Christ Associates. We make our prayer through Jesus, in the Holy Spirit, with Mary at our side. Amen"

13. Prayer for all members of the human family. "Heavenly Father, we ask Your blessings on all Your children the world over. Attend to all their needs. We ask Your special assistance for all those marginalized people, all those who are so neglected and forgotten. United with our Mother Mary, we make this petition to You through Jesus and in the Holy Spirit."

14. Prayer to St. Michael and our Guardian Angels:

"St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen."

"Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen."

15. Pause for silent, personal prayer. This should last at least five minutes.

16. Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

"Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!

"Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock."

17. Daily Prayers. All members should say the Holy Spirit prayer daily and make the act of consecration daily. They should also pray the rosary each day. They are encouraged to use the other above prayers as time allows.

Sorrowful Mysteries

The Agony in the Garden

R. I read a message from Fatima during a July apparition when Mary appeared and showed them a vision of hell. She said, "You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish, in the world, devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If people do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.

"The war (World War I, then raging) is going to end. But if people do not stop offending God, another and worse one will begin in the reign of Pius XI. When you shall see a night illuminated by an unknown light [January 2, 1938], know that this is the great sign that God gives you that He is going to punish the world for its many crimes by means of war, hunger, and persecution of the Church and the Holy Father. (12)

"To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of Reparation on the five first Saturdays. If my requests are granted, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not, she will scatter her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be destroyed....

"But in the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, Russia will be converted, and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world." (13)

12. For background material on Fatima, I am particularly indebted to Our Lady of Fatima's Peace Plan from Heaven (Rockford: TAN Books and Publishers, Inc., 1983). pp.4-5.
13. Ibid., p.5.

1. Hail Mary
2. Hail Mary

R. Be with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. Put aside all of the distractions in your mind and open your heart wide.

Jesus: My dear, sweet children, I am Jesus and I come to you this day that you may be united closer to My Most Sacred Heart. I am giving to you abundant graces to unite in deepest union with My Heart. I ask you to be in the Garden with Me and experience My agony for all of My beloved ones.

3. Jesus: Open your heart and let Me penetrate your heart. Remove all the walls that surround your heart. Anything that blocks this union with Me, let go of all the grievances that you hold against others and feel the peace. Feel the peace deep within your soul as you forgive all others of their offenses against you. I knelt in the Garden and I saw before Me all the sins of all men from all time.

4. R. Think of how it is to love someone so deeply and how it hurts when they neglect you and treat you with indifference. It is the ones that we love so dearly that we are so hurt by. Jesus loves us with the deepest love and look how He is treated this day by those He loves. Look at how people use His name in vain. Look at the laughter at the name of Jesus, not respected and loved but used in video games with such disrespect. Jesus comes with a heart surrounded by a crown of thorns, the thorns pressing into His Heart for the indifference and ingratitude of sinful men and He calls out in this message how He loves us and wants to be so close to us. He is the light that shines in the dark night and He has called us to hear the message of His deep and burning love.

5. R. Jesus is alive! He is truly present in the tabernacles in this world in the consecrated host, in His Divinity and humanity, no less present than the day that He knelt in the garden. Jesus Christ waits for us to come and to be with Him. Many times He is alone in the tabernacle. Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist, the same as the day He walked the earth! Jesus waits and longs to be so close to us. Jesus is truly present in His Divinity and humanity and Jesus outpours abundant graces whereby we share deeper and deeper in His life and Jesus is neglected and forgotten by many He loves.

6. R. Jesus has chosen the religious in a special way and His Heart suffered the greatest agony for those that He had called and treated Him with such neglect and indifference.

7. R. The souls are so hungry this day. Look at the vile deeds in the world. Look at what children are being taught in the video games. The murder of an innocent baby in the womb of their mother! Jesus was in such agony that His sweat became as great drops of blood on the ground. I hear Him call out and call out and call out" Tell them, Rita, tell them. Tell them how I love. He says over and over again, "Unless the messages of His burning love are circulated in the Church, the bloodshed will continue." People that murder the babies within them are starved. We are starved to be fed with the burning love of God. not words, not lip service, but to know the love that He wants to give to us. Do we see Him as He hangs on the cross, dripping with blood, crowned with thorns? This is the love that God has – that He sent His only begotten Son into this world and He gave Himself as a sacrifice on the cross for us! But we speak of Him in surface love. Jesus shows us His Heart and Mary shows us her heart. Jesus says so few souls come to Me and outpour their burning love and how I wait in the tabernacle for them to come and to hear the words from their lips, "O, how I love You, Jesus. How I long for You, Jesus!"

Jesus wants an intimate relationship with us. Jesus gives Himself to us in His Divinity and humanity in the Holy Eucharist. Jesus wants us to give our all to Him.

8. R. How our acts of love comforted Him during His bitter Passion! The greatest agonies were not the agonies that He would experience to His body, but the agonies that He experienced to His Heart. In the garden He was bent over with pain for He was in agony to know all of the sins from all men, from all time.

9. Jesus: Open up your heart wide and I will give to you abundant graces so that you may unite deeper and deeper to My Heart. Come to My Heart, to the pure and tender heart of My loving Mother. It is through her heart that you will unite in the deepest recesses of My Heart.

10. Song: I Love You Jesus

Song: A Song from Jesus

The Scourging at the Pillar

Jesus: Surrender to Me and let go. This is a rosary from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. My dear ones, walk with Me through this Passion. Be there - experience as I experienced, the letting go, to allow those I loved to tie My hands and tie Me to the pillar.

1. Jesus: My Heart, consumed with the deepest love for you. I continued without resistance, to allow the men to beat Me.

2. Song: I Am Your Sacred Heart

3. R. Jesus stood at the pillar and they beat Him with such instruments that tore His flesh and made Him bleed. This is the love that He has for us, that God gave Himself and came to this earth. Jesus took on a human body and allowed Himself to be scourged unmercifully for love of us. Why do we not trust Him? Why do we not surrender ourselves to Him? Do we not see Jesus, covered with wounds, tied to the pillar? He is the way, the truth and the life. He shows us the way.

4. Jesus: It is in your surrender that you will have peace and joy in your lives. Give yourselves totally to God.

Jesus: My beloved ones, surrender, consecrate your hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Give yourselves to God to do always the Father's will.

R. It is in living in the Father's will that our peace and joy are found.

5. Hail Mary

6. R. We do not know what it is to unite with love itself. God wants us to be with Him for all eternity, united in the deepest love with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus has revealed to us insights into the mystery of His Divine love. Our souls search a barren desert looking for that which will satisfy us and nothing satisfies the starved soul but the love of God. Let us look at Jesus covered from head to toe with wounds, wide open wounds! Let us see Him tied to the pillar. Just think of the love that He has for us, that He subjected Himself to this treatment! Why do we not surrender and give Him our all? Jesus gave His all for us.

7. Jesus: You are the lights that I am sending into this world to shed the light in the dark night. Each one of you I have called here this day as I unite more deeply with your hearts. Will you give My love to this world that is hurting and in pain? I am Jesus. I shed My blood for you. This is the love that I have for you!

8. R. God is not far off. Jesus is alive and I hear Him call out: I am alive, I am alive, I am alive. Jesus tells me: Tell them when we are baptized we receive a sharing in His Divine life. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwell within us in a very special way when we remain in the state of grace. It is in this interior life that we will have peace and joy. We go to the world but we are united to Jesus in our hearts. Put together the minute pieces of your life to unite with the Almighty God who lives within you. Who tells us about Himself and tells us about ourselves? It takes time alone every day with Jesus to know Him more. If we love someone we want to spend time with that person. To have a love relationship with Jesus we must take the time to be alone with Him. Jesus is alive and He dwells in our hearts. Jesus remains in our hearts when we are in the state of grace in His Divinity. Jesus is truly present in His Divinity and humanity in the Holy Eucharist. Jesus is no less present than the day He was tied to the pillar. I hear Him call out: I am alive, I am alive, I am alive. Tell them I am alive!

9. R. Mary has said that it is so important that we pray the rosary, for as we meditate on Their lives, His life becomes more alive within us. Every word in the Scriptures becomes more meaningful. The rosary is so beautiful for we meditate on the lives of Jesus and Mary.

10. Song: A Song from Jesus

The Crowning with Thorns

Jesus: I call you to surrender. You will not let go. You hold on so tight to so many things. You must let go and put yourself totally in My hands. I am guarding you every moment. You are so filled with your fear and your incidentals. I love you with such deepest love – that I came to this earth and gave Myself for love of you. I am calling out to you this day to surrender, to take the wall down from around your heart and to open your heart wide. Let Me enter that We may join in the deepest intimacy with one another.

Sing: Little Child

1. R. They pounded into His head a sharp crown of piercing thorns and He did not resist anything that they did to Him. They spit on Him and they mocked Him. This was the Almighty God, the Son of God, who did not resist.

2. R. Jesus' face and body were covered with blood. Meditate on the face of Jesus after the crowning with thorns. Look into His eyes and see the love that He has for us.

3. Song: O Sacred head surrounded, reviled and put to scorn

4. R. Would we allow someone to pound thorns into our heads, to spit on us, to tear our flesh? As we go through our life we carry out His life, death and resurrection in our lives. All through the day we suffer little sufferings. How do we act as we struggle? Do we realize that He is allowing us to go through these sufferings, that we will go deeper in our life with Him? Do we realize that we follow the path that He trod? It is in the death that there is our resurrection. In our daily struggles all through the day that, if we stay rooted in Him, we grow deeper and deeper in our life with Him.

5. R. The price that He paid that we would share in His life!

6. R. How it comforts His Heart when we tell Him of our love for Him!

7. Song: I Love You Jesus

Jesus: In your every breath and your every heartbeat, I guard you and I watch you - as you walk and as you sleep. Do not be afraid for I am with you in all of your actions. I am guarding you and watching you. I am longing and waiting for you to tell Me of your love. My greatest agonies were not the agonies that I suffered to My body but the agonies that I suffered to My Heart. Buckled over in pain, My Heart, a Heart of endless love, and I wait for you, I wait for you through each moment of the day, to talk to Me, to be with Me so I may be joined ever closer to You and I want your love.

R. Let us not seek after senseless pleasures that do not satisfy the craving in our hearts which only You, God, can satisfy.

8. R. So many times we have such longing in our hearts to receive love. Such longing that our hearts hurt for wanting love. Jesus remains in the tabernacle - Jesus says to us over and over again how He is longing, longing for our love. We carry out His life, death and resurrection in our lives. We do not realize that this is the longing that He has for us - to come and to be with Him. We walk around with our hearts in pain, looking for that which will satisfy this longing when nothing, nothing on the face of this earth will satisfy the longing for love but the love of God! We were created to love God and to love one another. Our hearts are in pain until they rest in Him.

9. Song: I Love You Jesus

R. In marriage, every woman promises to every man that which only God can give. Share with God - great love. In this oneness, in all that you do, love in union with Jesus.

Jesus: I am Jesus. I love you with the deepest love. Come to Me, My sweet, little children and I will comfort you and shelter you in the deepest recesses of My Heart.

10. Hail Mary

The Carrying of the Cross

Jesus: You will be persecuted by many. I stood and they cried out, "Crucify Him, Crucify Him." In this world today you will be rejected by many that you love. You must come and dwell in My Heart, the Heart of endless love, waiting for you.

1. R. Jesus stumbled along with the cross on His back and He fell with His chin to the ground. His thoughts were always of us and how dearly He loves us.

2. R. How many times we fall each day. He is so close and we think that we are alone. How many times we go from Him. Jesus is in our hearts. All we have to do is go to our heart and dwell in His Heart. Go inside of ourselves to the red room, the interior chamber of His Heart and be protected from the cold, windy world - the world that is cruel and sometimes so hard to live in! That we can go to our heart and know always that if we are in the state of grace we have this deep presence of God within us: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and this is our shelter! Jesus showed us the way that He was persecuted: Jesus was whipped, Jesus was crowned with thorns - this is the way that He trod. The world tells us that we shouldn't have problems, but we see Jesus as He falls to the ground and struggles onward with the cross on His back. But, Jesus shows us, in carrying the cross and walking His way, that there is the Resurrection! It is in our sufferings that we are raised to deeper life in Him.

3. Jesus: I come to the simple. I come to those whose hearts are filled with love. Look into your heart. Let go of any anger or hatred toward any person in your life. Make your heart soft that I may enter into your heart and join with you in deepest love.

4. R. Look into Jesus' eyes as Mary looked into His eyes. Mary saw Jesus' head crowned with thorns and Jesus' face covered with blood. Mary saw in His eyes the love that He has, that He gave Himself for us. Why do we not look into His eyes? Why do we not reach deeper and deeper into our hearts to know Jesus more?

5. Song: I Am Your Sacred Heart

6. R. This is how the martyrs withstood what they suffered. They knew the interior presence of God. Think of how it is to embrace love, the all burning love of God and to know that it is inside of us at every moment - that it is there that the more we go to the Eucharist, the more we sit in front of the tabernacle, the more He outpours His grace, His life and, the deeper we share in His Divine Life God is within our hearts!

7. Hail Mary
8. Hail Mary

9. R. Mary walked with Jesus as He walked with the cross on His back. Mary peered into Jesus' loving eyes and Jesus peered into Mary's eyes and in that look there was such intimacy between those Two Hearts. It is through Their Hearts, it is in dwelling in Their Hearts, that we will have our little heaven on earth. It is in going to the pure and tender heart of Mary that Mary places us in the deepest recesses of Jesus' Heart.
Let us go to Mary, our Mother and ask her to help us to love her Son, Jesus, as she loved her Son, Jesus, in her heart, to love the Father as she loved the Father, to love the Holy Spirit, her Spouse, as she loved the Holy Spirit. It is in the heart of Mary that the Holy Spirit acts to sanctify us and to make us more like Jesus. As we become more like Jesus, we unite deeper to Him and to the Father.

10. R. It is in dwelling in Their Hearts that we will have a little heaven here on earth.

Jesus is Crucified and Dies on the Cross

R. Jesus gave Himself as a sacrifice on the cross. Jesus' hands were nailed. Jesus' feet were nailed, to the cross. Jesus came into this world in such poverty, in a cave. Jesus laid in a manger on bare wood and He died on bare wood on the cross.

1. Jesus: You hold on to such senseless things, My beloved ones. I am with you this day. Do not worry for I am guarding you in all of your actions. Stay rooted in My Heart of love and I will protect and comfort you in everything that you do. I am with you. I am Jesus, your beloved Savior. I came to this earth that you would have life and have it to the full.

2. R. Jesus came that we would have life. Jesus gave Himself as a sacrifice on the cross and gives Himself this day in the Holy Eucharist. I hear Jesus call out: "Tell them, I give them Myself and they run from the altar after Communion." It is in this act that we unite so deeply to our beloved Lord. Let us give ourselves to Him at the Consecration of the Mass. Let us die to ourselves that we will live deeper and deeper in Him. Let us unite in this sacrifice, become one in this sacrifice with Christ, to the Father. Let us die to all that is not like Him, that we will live in Him, that He gives Himself to us in the Holy Eucharist and we give ourselves to Him. This is the greatest act of intimacy between God and man and He gives Himself to us in the Eucharist and unites to us.

3. R. Let us treasure these moments when we are one with Him and let us at these moments help make reparation to the offenses against God and against the heart of Mary.

4. R. At Mass, the priest has the power to change bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus through the Holy Spirit. This moment, this sacred moment, when Jesus acts through the priest, let us be so united in this sacrifice that we give ourselves. I hear Jesus call out, "This is My Body." He speaks at the Consecration, "This is My Body, tell them, I give them Myself, tell them."

5. R. Jesus mounted the cross, His body covered with wounds, His head crowned with thorns and He gave His all in total surrender. Jesus gave His all – our life paid for with the price of His blood and He is neglected and forgotten this day by so many of His beloved ones. Jesus waits in the tabernacle. He is as present as the day He walked this earth, in the Holy Eucharist, yet He is forgotten by many. Let us help make reparation to His adorable Heart for the great gift of Himself to us.

6. R. Dear Father, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in the Holy Spirit, with all the angels and the saints and the souls in Purgatory, we ask You to fill us with such grace that we will know love and serve You more. That, from this moment on, we will participate in the Mass more fully, that we will unite in deepest intimacy with You, Almighty God, each time that we go to receive the Eucharist, we ask You to help us to love You more. Such giving of Yourself to me. Help us to love You deeper and deeper.

Dear Holy Spirit, fill us with the fire of God's love, to know that God's love is not inactive, that it is not only words but it is the love that God the Father gave His only begotten Son and that Jesus gave Himself as a sacrifice on the cross for love of us!

7. R. May we feel this action of the Holy Spirit within the heart of Mary as her heart dwells within the Heart of her Son. May we feel encompassed by the love of God, the Holy Spirit, acting in her heart, uniting us deeper to the Heart of Jesus and Jesus is one with the Father. May we feel this union with the Almighty God, deeper and deeper.

8. R. Jesus came into this world a helpless baby in the arms of His Mother and Mary held Him in her arms, under the cross. See Jesus' lifeless body in her arms. The Heart of Mary, a heart that knows and loves her Son –  Mary's heart that is sinless – a heart that is so close to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit! Let us unite with the Heart of Mary, to pray through her heart, to act through her heart, to love through her heart, that we may love God and love each other deeper and with a pure love.

9. Song: I Love You Jesus

R. The love of God - nothing on this earth compares to Divine love! The soul is only fed by the love of God. The soul is created to love God. God gives to us a sharing in His Divine life in Baptism. We will not be satisfied with anything but His Divine love. All things must be rooted in Him for He is the source of life and love. All life comes from the Father, in the Holy Spirit, through the pierced Heart of Jesus, through the heart of Mary, into us and we act as a channel as we give love to one another. Jesus is the source. Let us love God deeper and deeper every day.

10. Hail Mary

R. This is a rosary from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. May your hearts be filled more and more with His burning love. O, My Jesus, forgive us our sins!

 March 26, 2013 - Easter

                R. Easter is the greatest feast.

The Easter season lasts 50 days.

                7 weeks and ending on
                    Pentecost –

The Ascension occurs 40 days –

                We contemplate Christ's Resurrection
We celebrate the gift of baptism –
this sharing in His life –

                Sing: Alleluia #1 song

God wants growth in the Church
and new members in the family.

                Sing Psalm
Keep me safe, O God, you are my hope –

                Sing: Alleluia #1 again

                From Tell My People

"What I say to you in the dark, tell in
the daylight; what you hear in whispers, proclaim
from the housetops."
(Matthew 10:27)

Jesus Has Come to Give Us Life

Jesus: "This is the day celebrating My Resurrection (Easter). The day of newness of life. I am Lord and Master. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Tell My people to come to Me if they wish to experience life in abundance. I want to give all an ever greater share in the life of My Resurrection. Without Me you cannot be happy, nor have peace, nor have real joy. Tell My people to surrender to Me more and more. The more they do so, the more they will experience My love, wisdom, power, peace, joy, happiness, mercy, and goodness. Within My Heart My people will find these riches. I am Lord and Master! Please listen to My words."

Reflection: Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus has come to give us life, and to give us this life in abundance.

When we were baptized, we were incorporated into Christ and His Church. When we were baptized, we received the life of sanctifying grace. This life is a created sharing in the life of the Trinity. Truly, we are called to live a God-like existence according to the teaching and example of Jesus! It is our duty and our privilege to develop our life of grace–our Christ-life–through our participation in the Mass, through the reception of the sacraments, through prayer, and through all other good works. Indeed, we are called to love God and neighbor more and more.

What a glorious life has been given to us! In a spirit of thanksgiving, and together with Mary our Mother, let us always strive to know Christ more intimately, to love Him more ardently, and to follow Him more closely, so that He will always bring us to a closer union with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit.

                R. Sin is like a tomb that closes
                    me in –

Christ came and wants us holy –
                    having abundant life
                    in Him.

                Spiritual laziness keeps me
                    penned in –

We need God's grace to grow
                    in the spiritual life –

                Easter reminds us of complete
                    joy and happiness in heaven.

In Easter I should rid myself of
                    spiritual laziness –
                    I should throw out pride
                    and be renewed – life
                    fresh risen dough.

                Our knowing and loving capacity
                    is elevated in baptism.

                God's love heals us –

God wants us to not be enslaved by sin –

To break the chains of sin
                    that bind us –

"Come out of your tomb", Jesus says.

Acts 2: 36-41

‘For this reason the whole House of Israel can be certain that the Lord and Christ whom God has made is this Jesus whom you crucified.’

Hearing this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, ‘What are we to do, brothers?’ ‘You must repent,’ Peter answered, ‘and every one of you must be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise that was made is for you and your children, and for all those who are far away, for all those whom the Lord our God is calling to himself.’ He spoke to them for a long time using many other arguments, and he urged them, ‘Save yourselves from this perverse generation.’ They accepted what he said and were baptised. That very day about three thousand were added to their number.

                R. Sing psalm –
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord

                We see through Mary Magdalene's
eyes the glory of the resurrection.

Colossians 3: 1-2

Since you have been raised up to be with Christ, you must look for the things that are above, where Christ is, sitting at God’s right hand. Let your thoughts be on things above, not on the things that are on the earth,

                R. God is all powerful –
                God hears our prayers –
God wants us to have eternal joy
and be with Him forever in heaven.

Every day in Easter week we
                celebrate the Resurrection.

                Remember the Emmaus appearance
Jesus will say on the judgment
                    day

'As long as you did it for one
of these, the least of the
brethren you did it to Me.'

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Reflect on the Word - Cycle B —  The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - The Word Alive in Our Hearts
Inspiring Homilies covering partial year of Cycle A by Fr. Joe Robinson
$ 10.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - The Word Alive in Our Hearts. - Cycle A (partial) Homilies by the Reverend Joe Robinson given at St. Boniface Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a tremendous honor Fr. Joe has allowed us to share these great gifts with you – for greater holiness and knowing more and more about God. $10

Priestly Newsletter 2000 Issue 1
Audio CD - Read by Father Edward J. Carter
$ 10.00  plus postage

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #1 - CD. - Christ is Our Strength - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our-selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10

$ 10.00

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #2 - CD. - Suffering: A Source of Life - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. Fr. Carter knew suffering that year. His voice is so powerful as he read each Newsletter from his heart and soul. "Every man has his own share in the redemption. Each one is also called to share in that suffering through which the redemption was accomplished. He is called to share in that suffering through which all human suffering has also been redeemed. In bringing about the redemption through suffering, Christ has also raised human suffering to the level of the redemption. Thus each man in his suffering can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ..." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
