                Today's Readings

Deuteronomy 26: 16-19

‘Yahweh your God commands you today to observe these laws and customs; you must keep and observe them with all your heart and with all your soul.

‘Today you have obtained this declaration from Yahweh: that he will be your God, but only if you follow his ways, keep his statutes, his commandments, his customs, and listen to his voice. And today Yahweh has obtained this declaration from you: that you will be his own people—as he has said—but only if you keep all his commandments; then for praise and renown and honour, he will raise you higher than every other nation he has made, and you will be a people consecrated to Yahweh, as he has promised.’

Psalm 119: 1-2, 4-5, 7-8

How blessed are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in the Law of Yahweh
Blessed are those who observe his instructions,
who seek him with all their hearts,

You lay down your precepts
to be carefully kept.
May my ways be steady
in doing your will.

I thank you with a sincere heart
for teaching me your upright judgements.
I shall do your will;
do not ever abandon me wholly.

Matthew 5: 43-48

‘You have heard how it was said, You will love your neighbour and hate your enemy. But I say this to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you; so that you may be children of your Father in heaven, for he causes his sun to rise on the bad as well as the good, and sends down rain to fall on the upright and the wicked alike. For if you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even the tax collectors do as much? And if you save your greetings for your brothers, are you doing anything exceptional? Do not even the gentiles do as much? You must therefore be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.’

                priest and at Mass.

Sing: A Priest is a Gift from God

                R. God is giving us what we need, but do we
                    listen —

Here is a message given to Fr. Carter.

Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus

My dear fellow Associate Members,

Jesus is calling special apostles to join a new division of the Shepherds of Christ Movement. Here is a message from Jesus given to Father Carter:

My beloved priest-companion, I am requesting that a new prayer movement be started under the direction of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. I am asking for volunteers who are willing to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for one hour, twice-weekly. Members of the Shepherds of Christ prayer chapters, as well as others, are to be invited to join this movement.

These apostles are to pray for the intentions I am giving you. For part of the hour they are to use the prayers of the Shepherds of Christ Associates Handbook. They may spend the rest of the hour as they so choose.

I will use this new prayer movement within My Shepherds of Christ Ministries in a powerful way to help in the renewal of My Church and the world. I will give great graces to those who join this movement. The name, Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, is to be given to this movement.

I am inviting My beloved Rita Ring to be coordinator for this activity.

I pour out the great love of My Sacred Heart to all. I am Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.

This is indeed a special calling for us to unite in one heart with His Eucharistic Heart and pray for the following intentions:

    1. For the spread of the devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary culminating in the reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.
    2. For the Pope.
    3. For all bishops of the world.
    4. For all priests.
    5. For all sisters and brothers in the religious life.
    6. For all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, and for the spread of this movement to the world.
    7. For all members of the Catholic Church.
    8. For all members of the human family.
    9. For all souls in purgatory.

end of Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart

                R. We need to ask people to be Apostles of the
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Members —

                Jesus gave us this message

Jesus wants this prayer before the
                    Eucharist for the priests, the
                    Church and the world —

                Oh Sing Out

                Rejoice —

Jesus comes to us in the Holy Eucharist

Rise up Jerusalem, your time has come —

You are chosen by God —

A peoples dear to His Heart —

He wants to Shepherd you and lead you home —

And yet darkness is around, but
God's light streams through and it
                penetrates heart and soul —

When the night comes, candles are lit
and a constant presence is felt
                    before the Lord, truly present
                    in the Blessed Sacrament —

The Holy Spirit comes to heal us and make
                    us whole —
                    Darkness covered the earth and
                    His light shown round His
                    faithful precious ones —

For He never abandons us —

Even when we suffer He is so near
to us in the suffering —

Rise up Jerusalem, in the suffering
you feel His breathe upon you —
                    You know suffering and
Yet you know in it the Bloodied face and Jesus.
In that you know the white
                        heat of His love

Oh servants of God — live your
calling, don't be as the hypocrites
                    who smite the Lord —

                Rise up Jerusalem —
                    let your light shine —

                Jesus speaks

John 11: 25-26

   I am the resurrection.
   Anyone who believes in me,
even though that person dies, will live,
and whoever lives and believes in me
      will never die.
   Do you believe this?

                Jesus, the Messiah
                Jesus, the Son of God

                Sing: A Song from Jesus

John 5: 17-30

His answer to them was, 'My Father still goes on working, and I am at work, too.' But that only made the Jews even more intent on killing him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he spoke of God as his own Father and so made himself God's equal.
    To this Jesus replied:

In all truth I tell you,
  by himself the Son can do nothing;
  he can do only
what he sees the Father doing:
  and whatever the Father does
      the Son does too.
For the Father loves the Son
  and shows him everything
      he himself does,
  and he will show him
      even greater things than these,
  works that will astonish you.
Thus, as the Father raises the dead
      and gives them life,
  so the Son gives life to anyone he chooses;
  for the Father judges no one;
he has entrusted all judgement to the Son,
so that all may honour the Son
  as they honour the Father.
Whoever refuses honour to the Son
  refuses to honour the Father
      who sent him.
In all truth I tell you,
  whoever listens to my words,
and believes in the one who sent me,
  has eternal life;
  without being brought to judgement
  such a person
has passed from death to life.
In all truth I tell you,
  the hour is coming --
indeed it is already here --
  when the dead
will hear the voice of the Son of God,
and all who hear it will live.
For as the Father has life in himself,
so he has granted the Son also
      to have life in himself;
and, because he is the Son of man,
  has granted him power
      to give judgement.
Do not be surprised at this,
  for the hour is coming
when the dead will leave their graves
at the sound of his voice:
  those who did good
  will come forth to life;
  and those who did evil
      will come forth to judgement.
  By myself I can do nothing;
I can judge only as I am told to judge,
  and my judging is just,
because I seek to do not my own will
but the will of him who sent me.

                R. Jesus, the Suffering Servant

                Jesus is God Almighty

John 3: 17

For God sent his Son into the world
    not to judge the world,
    but so that through him
        the world might be saved.

                R. Oh God send Your healing grace
                    to us —
                    Open our hearts to hear
Your Word and be glad —

While Moses was speaking to God the
                    Jewish people made a
                    molten calf —

Oh that men understood the commandments
                    of God

The Ten Commandments

  1. I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me.
  2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain.
  3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
  4. Honor your father and your mother.
  5. You shall not kill.
  6. You shall not commit adultery.
  7. You shall not steal.
  8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
  10. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.

                R. On the front of Fr. Joe's Cycle A
                    Book —
                    We have this cover

                R. I saw doors part open before I
started to get this gift —

Today again I saw a big wood
door, but the key hole was
                    missing —

The title Jesus told me to put on
                    this book was:

The Word Alive in Our Heart —

In seeing a big brown door without
                    a key hole — I remembered
the cover of Fr. Joe's 1st
                    homily book —

We know what reality really is as
we focus on the Word —
In today's Gospel we hear the
word to love our enemies —

                Jesus had enemies —
They put Him to death —

He loved those men who whipped
                    Him and crowned Him with
thorns and put Him to death —

                R. What should we do to help the Church
to be as God wants it to be —
The individual Christian is in the
                state of becoming —
As we grow more and more as members
of the mystical body of Christ —
living this calling — Being committed
as God has called us to be —
                spreading the Good News —
We live the life, death and resurrection
of Jesus in our lives —

God the Father has a plan for us —
To be team players in this ballgame —
To work in love with others and
To love ourselves as God wants us to —

In today's first reading we remember
                    the 10 Commandments —

The law for the Israel people was
                    given to Moses —

The Ten Commandments

  1. I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me.
  2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain.
  3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
  4. Honor your father and your mother.
  5. You shall not kill.
  6. You shall not commit adultery.
  7. You shall not steal.
  8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
  10. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.

                R. The first 3 Commandments deal with
                    God —

  1. I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me.
  2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain.
  3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.

                R. How is our love of God in really
giving Him what is His due —

How do we spend Sunday - in
keeping holy the Lord's day —
                    It's His day —
How do we keep this day holy?

                The other commandments
5-10 tell us to love each other
                    and love ourselves —

Commandment 4 tells us to honor
                    our Father and Mother —

So many today are so busy with
their lives they do not think of
these laws given to man —

God is the one making the laws —
                God is the Creator —

The state cannot try to change
the basic laws of God —

                God governs the earth with
                    justice and right —

We see the constancy in the Church —
We know that there is one truth —
God calls us to love God and love our
                    neighbor as ourselves —

Matthew 22: 36-40

'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'

Deuteronomy 6: 2-6

And hence, if, throughout your lives, you fear Yahweh your God and keep all his laws and commandments, which I am laying down for you today, you will live long, you and your child and your grandchild. Listen then, Israel, keep and observe what will make you prosperous and numerous, as Yahweh, God of your ancestors, has promised you, in giving you a country flowing with milk and honey. Listen, Israel: Yahweh our God is the one, the only Yahweh. You must love Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength. Let the words I enjoin on you today stay in your heart.

                R. As we spread Fr. Joe's book to the
priests in the United States — now
                    21,000 - 22,000 we are looking in
that key hole at Jesus —

                R. The book gives that focus to our
                    priests weekly —
the liturgy of the Word —
                    in our lives —
the Word in our hearts —
                    the Word in us!!

                Christ instituted the 7 sacraments
to give man a share in His
                    Divine Life —

The sharing in His life is grace —
A man is born into this world —
A man is born spiritually of water
and the Holy Spirit in baptism —

Romans 6: 3-11

You cannot have forgotten that all of us, when we were baptised into Christ Jesus, were baptised into his death. So by our baptism into his death we were buried with him, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father's glorious power, we too should begin living a new life. If we have been joined to him by dying a death like his, so we shall be by a resurrection like his; realising that our former self was crucified with him, so that the self which belonged to sin should be destroyed and we should be freed from the slavery of sin. Someone who has died, of course, no longer has to answer for sin.

But we believe that, if we died with Christ, then we shall live with him too. We know that Christ has been raised from the dead and will never die again. Death has no power over him any more. For by dying, he is dead to sin once and for all, and now the life that he lives is life with God. In the same way, you must see yourselves as being dead to sin but alive for God in Christ Jesus.

                R. Christ is the Savior of mankind —

                Song: A Song from Jesus

                Song: I Love You Jesus

                R. Christ came obedient to God!!
                Adam disobeyed God —
God wants our faith in Him —
                To believe —

We respond to God's love to us who
                    first loved us —

In the plan of salvation —
                    men are to believe
Christ came to this earth —
The Divine Almighty Son of God
                            had 2 natures —
                            human and Divine —
                    Christ came a baby —
                    Christ walked the earth —
                    Christ lived amongst us —
Christ taught us about Himself —
Christ taught us about love —
                    Christ gave us miracles —
Christ obeyed the will of the Father.

                The name 'Jesus' in Hebrew
                    means 'Savior'.

                Christ was circumcised —

Christ shows us obedience and humility —
Mary and Jesus obeyed the Law —
                Mary was full of grace

John the Baptist, the cousin of Jesus,
                    preached repentance and the
                    coming of the Savior —

The Baptism of Christ by John
marked the beginning of the public
                    ministry of Christ —

                Christ possessed the fullness of
                    grace —

Matthew 3: 17

And suddenly there was a voice from heaven, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved; my favour rests on him.’

                R. Christ was 30 when he was
                    baptized —

Christ walked with men and talked
with men to teach them —
                    the Almighty God —
humbled Himself and took the nature of a slave —

                Christ fasted in the desert
                Christ showed us discipline —
Christ was without sin, but because
of His love for us He showed
                    us the way —

                He came in poverty —
He came to enrich us in the
                    ways of God —

                Christ was selfless!!

                Men hold onto things —

Some hold on - so they can manipulate
                    and control others for their
                    own vain glory against
                    God's will —

The devil even tried to tempt
Christ after He fasted in the
                    garden —

                After the temptation Christ
                    began teaching —

Jesus is the way, the truth and the
                    life —

The devil operates in secret —

                Christ was open —

He preached in the cities —
                    the Temple

                Christ did not conceal His
                    teaching —

The devil works in secret —
                    manipulating, lying, hating
the devil tempts men with power
and vain glory for themselves —

God has loaned us the world to do
                    His work —

God gives us the grace to think
and do things with our talents —
God wants us to help build
                    the Kingdom and pass our
                    knowledge on to build the
                    Kingdom of God —

The devil wants man to hoard
                    his talents, money, treasures,
                    knowledge for the man's
                    power and vain glory —

Christ spoke of the mysteries in
                    parables to reach His faithful
                    ones —

Jesus didn't tone down His teaching
                    depending on men —
                    He told the truth —
                    He taught openly —
                    He taught with authority —

The men He chose have handed down
                    His teachings to us —
                    Jesus taught by word and
                        example —
                    Jesus was open —

Jesus reveals to us more and more the
                    mystery of the Trinity

Excerpt from Response to God's Love by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

... In reference to Christianity, God himself is the ultimate mystery. Radically, God is completely other and transcendent, hidden from man in his inner life, unless he chooses to reveal himself. Let us briefly look at this inner life of God.

The Father, in a perfect act of self-expression, in a perfect act of knowing, generates his son. The Son, the Word, is, then, the immanent expression of God's fullness, the reflection of the Father. Likewise, from all eternity, the Father and the Son bring forth the Holy Spirit in a perfect act of loving.

At the destined moment in human history, God's self-expression, the Word, immersed himself into man's world. God's inner self-expression now had also become God's outer self-expression. Consequently, the mystery of God becomes the mystery of Christ. In Christ, God tells us about himself, about his inner life, about his plan of creation and redemption. He tells us how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit desire to dwell within us in the most intimate fashion, how they wish to share with us their own life through grace. All this he has accomplished and does accomplish through Christ.

                R. Jesus reveals to us more and more
the mystery of the Incarnation —

God gives us the miracle at Cana —

He gave us His miracles —
                    healing the sick,
                    forgiving sins,
                    curing the blind,
                    curing the lepers,
                    raising the dead,
                    healing the paralytics,
                    healing the lame,
the multiplication of the loaves and fish,
                    calming the sea,
                    fish in abundance —
                    He expelled demons —

                The miracles Jesus performed proved
                    He was God —

The miracles showed His power over
                    what He had created —

We see His great miracle in the transfiguration.

Matthew 17: 2-5

There in their presence he was transfigured: his face shone like the sun and his clothes became as dazzling as light. And suddenly Moses and Elijah appeared to them; they were talking with him. Then Peter spoke to Jesus. ‘Lord,’ he said, ‘it is wonderful for us to be here; if you want me to, I will make three shelters here, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He was still speaking when suddenly a bright cloud covered them with shadow, and suddenly from the cloud there came a voice which said, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved; he enjoys my favour. Listen to him.’

                R. Christ came to save the sinner —
                Christ is our Savior —

                Christ was condemned
                Christ was betrayed
                Christ was whipped
                Christ was crowned with thorns
                Christ shed His blood

                He was spit at —
                He was scorned
                He was put on trial
He was treated as a criminal
He was stripped of His garments —
His hands and feet nailed to the cross

                Christ our Savior —
                Christ was despised
                Christ bore our infirmities
                Christ was afflicted,
                Christ was mocked,
                Bruised for our sins

He suffered and died for love of us
and He gives us the Blue Books

Picture of the Sacred Heart of JesusI Died for You

February 23, 1994

Jesus: I want this emotion in the letter I told you to write. I, Jesus, Son of God, talk to you with such emotion! I am He Who died a brutal death for love of you. I died for you! I love you this much, to give My Life! Yet you couldn't even write when I asked you. You must do exactly as I say. I do not want you ever to say no to Me!

I have such emotion! I am telling you how I died a brutal death and you, My child, did not write for Me! What more can I do? What more do they want? You put others before Me or you would do as I command. I want you to do as I tell you every moment.

I am the Lord. I am the Son of God. Such emotion I let you feel for My death. I died. I am a person. I was human and I died for you. Think of yourself giving your life for someone and they do not care. What can I do to shake you? What more can I say? I am here and I am loving you and pleading with you to listen to Me with this emotion that God is telling you. I am Jesus. I died for you. I gave My life for you and do you even listen, My little sweet one? You didn't want to write it for My children. When I give you a command, you write. When I say do, you do. Selflessness! I am pushing you because I need your total surrender. Do not ever deny My writing to My loved ones. You have a responsibility. I don't care where you are when I talk. I am God and I talk to you. I am so present to you.

Listen. I need your selflessness. I need your surrender. I need your life, given for love of Me and Me alone. I need you to be the light that shines on the hill, that does not go in and out but is constant in My love. I need your commitment. I need your attention at every moment. I am feeding you My words every moment on paper and in your hand. You must obey Me exactly as I command. No questions, only action. I want action. Now! You write when I say write. I don't care where you are. You worry not for others. I am giving you the mighty medicine. Would you tell the doctor to wait? I am God and I do not ever want to wait while you play a safe game with Me. When I say do something, I want you to do it. You are My beloved and I am filling you with fire.

I am pushing you to do that which I need done. Do not ever stop to look around. Keep your focus on Me and My commands for you. I am using you every moment. I must be able to count on your constant consent to do My will immediately! I am calling you to this work and I want you to comply. I love you ardently. I am so full of love for you. Focus on this and this alone. I am Who am. I am God, child. Do not ever hesitate. Do not doubt or think. You must act as I act in you or My work will not be done.

Be selfless about My commands. You will do My work. You will spread My words of love and create emotion with My songs and I will use you to bring My flock to My love. I love every soul! You must spread My love.

Note: (Meditating on the Crucifixion) Going to Mass at the seminary at 8:00 a.m. was rushed. He said to me, "Where are you going, child. Do you not feel My presence with you?" A calm came over me. Then He started lamenting how He died for us, how He is a true person and He loves us so much. He said, "I died for you."

R. He gave His life for us. He is the little lamb led to the slaughter out of love for us. He said, "I need you to do this work now and I am pushing you." He was so upset! He died for us. He loves us so much as to give His life.

He begged me to spread His love, to tell others how He, bloodied, bruised and beaten, gave us His life.

Jesus: I am God. I am God. I died. Spread My love now! Now! Now! Now! Now! I am begging you not to hold back! Read these letters now, read and learn about My love. I beckon you to speak of My love. Shout it from the high roof. Proclaim it in the cities. Jesus Christ died for love of you and He is risen! I am He Who is God and I died for you!

Listen and preach My love and emotion here. Priests will create little cities, little cities in each church to spread the light of Christ to this sick world. Each priest can create his own little city, a powerhouse of God's love. God has all the power. His power is endless. It never runs out. It is might. You have no power except through Him. Churches filled with the intimate love of Jesus will be powerhouses.

I am God, My little ones. God can do all things. I can make your cities light up the darkness. I am the Way, the Truth, the Life. I am the light of life. I am God! I can do all things. I want to act in you. You need to be in constant union with Me. My priests, you need to be selfless. My soul and yours are one. I want to act in you.

Hold not back. Pray the Prayer for Union with Me.

                R. Christ teaches us about obedience to
                    the Father's will —

Christ hung on the cross of Calvary
                    between heaven and earth —

He hung for 3 agonizing hours to
                    His death —

Picture of the Sacred Heart of JesusI Died in Peace

August 31, 1993

Jesus: You are hurried. Relax and soak in My peace. Only My peace will quiet you. Your days are full of changes. You are adapting well, but always come back to My peace. Breathe in Jesus, out anxiety and fear. In Jesus, out anxiety. Quiet your mind and focus just on My face. See My sorrowful face, see Me with thorns. Bring yourself back to the Passion. It is because of you and your sins I suffered and died for all My children. How great is My love for you that I would die for love of you. Think of this-that you have a friend Who died for you. Oh, how I love, how I long to be with you to tell you of My infinite love for you. Your human minds cannot even comprehend My Divine love! In your deepest meditation you couldn't come close to all the love I have for you. But you must keep trying to know and feel this love. This is your salvation. This is what sets you free in a world of hate. You can always be drawn back to My love and know it is waiting for you always. It never stops. It is infinite. This is what comforts your troubled soul. When they scorn you and mock you, think of Me loving you. I am the all-perfect love. Always come back to Me. Don't let the world get to you. I am here, with peace, love, joy, rapture, being connected to your heart so divinely. I love you so much! I wish you would totally feel this love the way I want you to.

The only way you can experience Me more is to let go of the world more. In this bustling world, My peace reigns. It is in the quiet of your heart. It is within you and you can stay connected at every moment. You never have to lose this peace no matter what goes on around you. You can be a pillar of peace because I am peace. I am joy. I died in peace and dignity. My peace was not shattered even to death. You can experience this peace if you stay in Me. It is My gift I give you. Remember I was at peace at My death. You are being strengthened in your trials. You are growing in My peace. You are learning not to shatter to anything, that if you stay rooted in Me I never leave you and you remain at peace though the earth be shaking. For I am He Who lives in you. You can have this same consistency, but you must stay so connected to Me every minute, every second. Breathe in Jesus, out fear. Look at My face. It is there for you. Look and see Me, I am your rock. You will not falter or fall on your face. Your heart is rooted in My peace and My love. It is consistent, it is everlasting, it is intense and it is My gift to My children who remain fixed in Me. I love you.

The Resurrection

1. R. Jesus came to this earth, suffered and died for love of us, was locked in the tomb for three days and rose that we might share in His life.

2. R. We live His life, death and resurrection in our daily lives, our lives being a constant death and resurrection as we die to our imperfections and rise in greater holiness.

3. R. In baptism we are made children of God and heirs of Heaven. On our journey to Heaven, we are hopefully filled with His life more and more.

4. Song: New Life

5. R. They rolled the stone up to the tomb to secure Jesus, but death has no power over Jesus. On the third day He rose victorious! He is the Almighty God! Jesus was bound. He was tied. He was whipped. He was nailed to a cross. So silly, you say to tie God to a pillar and nail Him to a cross! Death has no power over Jesus!

6. R. Our lives are a constant death-resurrection. As we struggle, as we die to our imperfections, we are more and more perfected likened to Jesus.

7. Song: Choose Life

8. R. Jesus gave to the apostles the power to baptize and to forgive sins. It is through His pierced Heart that the sacramental life of the Church was born.

9. R. Jesus instituted the Church.

10. R. How favored we are that God so loved this world that He sent His only begotten Son into this world that we might be saved!

(Song between decades: Come Holy Spirit ...)

The Ascension

1.  Luke 24:50  Then he took them out as far as the outskirts of Bethany, and raising his hands he blessed them.

R. Jesus ascended into Heaven.

2. R. Who are we that Jesus comes, that He gives us His life? Jesus ascended into Heaven and the apostles were awestruck as they looked from the field below. They were filled with fear. Look at the apostles! These are the men that Jesus left behind to carry out His Gospel message. These are the men that He made head of the Church. He sent the Holy Spirit to strengthen them, to give them courage, to transform them from fear to fearlessness.

3. R. Jesus ascended into Heaven and said that He was going to prepare a place for us. But He has not left! He remains with us this day in His Divinity and humanity in the Eucharist.

4. R. Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist. Jesus is waiting and longing and thirsting for His precious souls to come and to be with Him for He loves each soul so much. He died for us.

5. R. Jesus is waiting and waiting. The indifference, neglect and sacrileges committed against Him in the Blessed Sacrament wounded His aching Heart. Jesus loves His precious souls to come. The Eucharist is the sacrament of His greatest love. Jesus remains in His Divinity and humanity. Jesus showers His abundant grace on His precious souls.

6. R. Outpour your precious life on us. We long to be saturated with your life, to be one in You. As we sit here in front of the Tabernacle, let us know Your presence, for You are no less present in this room than the day You walked on the earth. We beg You for Your precious grace, Your precious life to fill us.

7. R. Jesus gives us a sharing in His life in baptism. In Baptism, He elevates our knowing and loving capacity.

Song: I Am the Bread of Life

8. R. Jesus asks us to help make reparation to Him by sitting in front of the Tabernacle. To make reparation for the souls that treat Him with neglect and indifference. His Heart was wounded and He longs and thirsts and waits and waits and waits for souls to come.

9. John 6: 51-58

    I am the living bread
which has come down from heaven.
    Anyone who eats this bread
       will live for ever;
and the bread that I shall give
is my flesh, for the life of the world.’

Then the Jews started arguing among themselves, ‘How can this man give us his flesh to eat?’ Jesus replied to them:

In all truth I tell you,
    if you do not eat
the flesh of the Son of man
    and drink his blood,
you have no life in you.
Anyone who does eat my flesh
       and drink my blood
    has eternal life,
and I shall raise that person up
       on the last day.
For my flesh is real food
and my blood is real drink.
    Whoever eats my flesh
       and drinks my blood
    lives in me
and I live in that person.
As the living Father sent me
and I draw life from the Father,
    so whoever eats me
will also draw life from me.
    This is the bread
       which has come down from heaven;
it is not like the bread our ancestors ate:
    they are dead,
but anyone who eats this bread
       will live for ever.

10. Luke 24: 49

‘And now I am sending upon you what the Father has promised. Stay in the city, then, until you are clothed with the power from on high.’

(Song between decades: Come Holy Spirit ...)

The Descent of the Holy Spirit

1. Acts 2: 1-3  When Pentecost day came round, they had all met together, when suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of a violent wind which filled the entire house in which they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues as of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them.

2. Acts 2: 4  They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak different languages as the Spirit gave them power to express themselves.

3. R. They were transformed from fear to fearlessness. It is in Baptism that we are commissioned to go out and spread the Good News to the world. Come Holy Spirit! Fill us with Your grace so that we will be transformed from fear to fearlessness to carry out the Plan of the Father, to be His apostles, to go into this world and do the work He is calling us to do. We beg You for the fearlessness to do what You have planned for us to do. The apostles were fearless, they went out and preached, so many were converted, we at this Center are called here by Jesus and Mary to be part of the Plan of the Father. Give us the courage, give us whatever we need to be able to carry out the Plan of the Father.

4. R. We are Your little children, dependent upon You, dear Father. We ask You, through the Holy Spirit, to make Your Plan known to us so that we may carry out the work that Jesus came to this world to start. Help us to go into the world and to carry out His life, death and resurrection in our lives.

5. R. Let us feel the fire, the vibrancy inside of us, the fire of God's love. Dear Spirit, please live in us, so we may be filled up with such vibrancy to carry out this great message of the love of God, so we may be strengthened against anything the devil puts in our path to try to keep us from completing the work You have sent us here to do. As the apostles went out with fearlessness and so many were converted, help us to follow the Plan of the Father with fearlessness through the Holy Spirit and do exactly what You intended us to do.

6. R. Let Your life saturate our being that we are more one in You. Fill us with Your life, saturate us so that the life, the light that is within us is too mighty to be contained.

7. Jesus: You, at the Center, are My City set on a Hill that will shine to this world. I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. I fill you with My grace so that you may go into this world and shine as beacon lights into the darkness. My beloved ones, I lead you on your way. Feel this vibrancy within you. I love you with Divine Love. You are My special missionaries that I am sending into the world to light up the world with the love of God.

8. Jesus: May the fire of My Sacred Heart burn ever brighter in your hearts. May it radiate from your being. May you be a light on every path that you walk. May you know more and more My dear Mother, forever by your side, guiding you and protecting you with her mantle. As you walk your path, you are guided, you are protected, you are loved. My beloved ones, you are My lights that will shine to this world.

9. Song: Come Holy Ghost

10. Jesus: I want hearts that are filled with fire for love of Me for I remain a prisoner in the Tabernacle waiting the love of My precious souls. You are My lights that I send into the darkened world. Come to Me and I will fill you with My grace and you will light up the dark world. You are the City set on a Hill that will shine to this world. Pray to the Spirit, My beloved ones, pray to the Spirit to come more and more to this Center.

(Song between decades: Come Holy Spirit ...)

Jesus: I have not forgotten you. I remain forever by your side. I have carved you in My Most Sacred Heart. Your name is written there. Let go and surrender for I am so close to you and guarding you and protecting you. I am Jesus. How I dearly love you. Do not be glum for I give to you My grace. I give to you My light to light the world. Focus always on Me. Do not look to others to fill you, for your happiness, happiness is in Me. Focus on My Heart burning, on fire for love of you, My precious ones. I am so near to you.

The Assumption of Mary into Heaven

1. Jesus: Do not be glum for I am so close to you and I lead you on your way. Surrender and trust! This is the Plan of the Father. It is unfolding here in this Center. Put your trust in My Most Sacred Heart for I love you with the deepest, deepest love.

2. R. Mary was taken, body and soul, into Heaven. Mary remained on the earth some twenty years after Jesus' death. She remained with the apostles. She was here to help the beginning of the Church. Mary is Mother of the Church this day. Mary mothers us as we carry out His life, death and resurrection in our daily lives. We are commissioned in Baptism to carry out the work that Jesus began when He walked the earth. Jesus no longer walks the earth this day but He remains with us truly present in the Eucharist.

3. R. Mary, place us securely under your mantle. Lead us on our journey to the Heart of Jesus. Help us more and more to be holy. Mary knows the Heart of her Son. Mold us and shape us in Your Heart through the power of the Holy Spirit. Dear Holy Spirit, transform us in the heart of Mary into the image and likeness of Jesus and lead us closer to the bosom of the Father.

4. R. Mary remains with us forever by our side. As she walked by the side of Jesus all through His life and His Passion, as she stood under the cross and watched her Son suffer and die, she stands by our side and watches us on our way, on our journey as we grow in this graced life of Christ.

5. R. Jesus came to this earth, He died and rose that we might have the sharing in His life. Jesus is with us this day, filling us more and more with His life, the vibrancy of His life within us.

6. Sing: Refrain Bread of Life

7. R. How Jesus loves His Mother. How the Father loves Mary that from all women He chose Mary to be the Mother of God! He chose Mary, a woman, to be the way that He brought His Son into this world. What dignity and honor He gives to all women that He chose Mary to be the Mother of God! Jesus gave to us His Beloved Mother to protect us and lead us ever closer to Him on our journey to Heaven

8. R. How present she is with us this day, our Beloved Mother, mothering us constantly as she mothered Jesus. Mary is here to lead us closer to the Heart of her beloved Son.

9. R. The Father so loved Mary that He made Mary the Mother of God! Mary is so close to Jesus, she is the Spouse of the Holy Spirit. Mary is the singular vessel. Mary leads us to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

10. R. Mary leads us in this graced-filled life to our true home in Heaven.

Song: Choose Life

(Song between decades: Come Holy Spirit ...)

Mary is Crowned as Queen of Heaven and Earth

1. R. Mary was crowned as Queen of Heaven and Earth. She was given a golden crown. How the Father loves Mary! How Jesus loves His Mother! Mary is the Spouse of the Holy Spirit.

2. R. Our bodies will be glorified and taken into Heaven if we go to heaven, someday.

3. Jesus: I have chosen this Center to light this darkened world. You are My specially chosen ones to carry out the message of My life. Will you say yes to the call? On this Mother's Day, Mary is calling out to you to come to the Center with hearts that are pure and filled with love. Only pure hearts can unite with My Heart. A heart that is haughty cannot unite with a heart of pure love.

4. Song: Immaculate Mary

Jesus: You are the beacon lights that I will send into this world to light the darkened world. You have been called by My Mother to My Mother's House. Will you answer the call with your whole heart to put aside any of the debris that is in your heart and trade it for hearts that are pure? You are My apostles, you are My chosen ones, you I love.

5. Song: Choose Life

6. Jesus: This is My Mother's House. Mary is present in this house in a special way. I am Jesus. I send you as the lights to light the darkness. Mary is appearing to you as Our Lady of Light. I am illuminated and on fire for love of you. The Holy Spirit will come to this Center and will fill the hearts with the fire of God's love. Pray, pray, pray for the Spirit to come to you.

7. Jesus: The Plan of the Father is unfolding. You are the threads in this tapestry. You, I send into this world. You will receive an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Pray, pray, pray! Baptize men in the Holy Spirit. Get all to pray daily to the Holy Spirit, for He will transform the hearts that are filled with fear to fearlessness. He will sanctify their hearts and make them whole. I am Jesus. I remain with you in the Tabernacle waiting and longing for your precious love. I will fill your hearts with the fire of My love and the Father will be with you, My beloved ones, the more you unite to Me. Come and be one in Me. Pray for union. Heaven is given to those who love and serve the Lord!

8. Song: Come Holy Spirit

9. Song: See the Eyes that Look at Mary

10. Song: A Song from Jesus

Song: I Love You Jesus

Jesus: And the Holy Spirit will come to fervent hearts at the Center and the hearts will be turned to hearts on fire for the love of Jesus Christ through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Pray, My beloved ones, pray for all those involved in this Center. Pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Pray a novena for the Holy Spirit to come to this Center, have all fervently praying this novena. I am Jesus. I come to you this day. I gave My life for love of you. You are a City set on a Hill that will shine its light to the darkened world. My beloved ones, will you answer the call of My Mother to pray fervently to the Spirit for this?

This rosary was prayed in the Mother of Sorrows Chapel before Jesus in the Tabernacle and Mary in Our Mother of Sorrows statue. Rita, Cathy, Joe, Pat and Marty were present.

Rita stated that Mary was brilliantly illuminated - all in white - alive in the statue - bigger than the statue. Jesus, in the large Sacred Heart picture, was also illuminated.

We pray all prayers for the priests and the renewal of the Church and the world and for the Shepherds of Christ intentions. By the precious Body and Blood of Jesus we cast out Satan far from this place, our families, the Shepherds of Christ Movement, Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, the Church and the world. Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Reflect on the Word - Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - The Word Alive in Our Hearts

Priestly Newsletter 2000 Issue 1
Audio CD - Read by Father Edward J. Carter
$ 10.00  plus postage

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #1 - CD. - Christ is Our Strength - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our-selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #2 - CD. - Suffering: A Source of Life - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. Fr. Carter knew suffering that year. His voice is so powerful as he read each Newsletter from his heart and soul. "Every man has his own share in the redemption. Each one is also called to share in that suffering through which the redemption was accomplished. He is called to share in that suffering through which all human suffering has also been redeemed. In bringing about the redemption through suffering, Christ has also raised human suffering to the level of the redemption. Thus each man in his suffering can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ..." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
