Prayer for Grace for our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

Mary: Please come Friday
First Friday, May 5th, 2017
6:20pm to Clearwater.

                April 29, 2017

                R. Second Sunday of Easter we heard
                about Thomas.

                    Thomas reminds us that we
must focus on the unseen and
what we see. God is always there
for us. This is the message of the
Blue Books. God is watching us
and when we give ourselves to
God – the Holy Spirit guides us
to listen and do the will of God.
But we have to listen and be
ready to follow God and what
                He is telling us.

The voice of the Good Shepherd
speaks and His sheep hear His
                voice and follow Him.

God is a personal God – that is
the message of the Blue Books –

At the end of this writing is
                the scripture from last Sunday
                and the message delivered by
Fr. Joe. It is so beautiful – We
all are asked by God to pray for
Fr. Joe and his homilies and all
the books we sent. We sent 3,000
books to priests in the United States
this week with the prayer for the country
and the Shepherd of Christ Prayers.

People pray to God for help and
                God answers our prayers, maybe
not the way we think, but the way
we need. And if a person never
listens they keep the same mind
slot, not letting God in while
they try to control everything and
                everybody!!

God has a plan for us. He is the Creator
we are the creatures and we belong to
Him. He wants us to give our wills
following His Plan. God created us
so beautiful and He wants us to
grow more and more in His
image and likeness. The Holy Spirit
wants to touch us and we must
be humble and docile to His
touch – Heartfelt in love of
God with our whole heart, our
whole soul, our whole being and
                loving our neighbor as ourselves.

We must learn to listen to God,
to follow God – to know God in
our hearts – even when we don't
see Him – we need to put our trust
in the Sacred Heart of Jesus and know
God is helping us in our lives. Sending
                direction and love to us.

"My Lord is My Life and My Salvation."

"Man does not live on bread alone,
                    but on every Word that
comes from the mouth of God."  Matthew 4: 4

We need food to grow, to feed us
to build our bodies. Jesus gives us
His Word and the Eucharist to
feed us. The Word and the Eucharist
is the Bread of Life –

When we go to Mass we eat the
Body and Blood of Jesus – it
                feeds us.

                    Jesus is our Savior. Jesus
died for our sins. They wanted
to make Jesus a King – we see
                this on Palm Sunday and
Jesus had to resist the temptation
and He went away to pray –
to be with the Father in prayer.
Jesus did what the will of the
heavenly Father was – to die for
our sins. Jesus did the will
                of the heavenly Father. Jesus
suffered for us – so He died for
our sins. Jesus rose on the 3rd
day. Jesus did not give into
the temptation – Jesus did the
                Father's will.

In all of us is a "wild card"
we can obey the commandments of
God, do the will of the Father
and help others to know God –
we can love God with our whole
heart, our whole being, our whole
soul and live our life to prepare
                for heaven –
or we can oppose God – say
NO, NO, NO we need no one – we are
equal to You God. We can live like
this and be envious of those God
sends to be our guides on this
                spiritual journey and fight
                God's plan - day long.

                    Regina's sister-in-law is dying
and we should pray for her and her
brother. She found out she had
cancer and had 3 months to live.
She is close to the end.

                    My brother, Jim, has Parkinson's
disease, he did heart research his
whole life for others – he had a
                Doctors in Cardiovascular Physiology –
He worked hard and traveled around
the world in his research too –
His wife is so dedicated to him –
I ask you to pray for him –

We are here to think every moment
about preparing for our eternal salvation –
life is really short – God put us here
to love Him with our whole heart,
our whole soul, our whole being
and love our neighbor as ourselves.

I love to say the Joyful Mysteries –
Mary is the perfect handmaid of
the Lord. It makes me happy to
                meditate on God calling her
                and Mary saying "yes" –

Eve was prideful – Eve wanted
to be equal to God – Eve
disobeyed God and she was cast
                from the Garden of Paradise.
Eve had so many gifts and she
                disobeyed God –

Dear God help us to be wise and
prudent. We pray for those who
suffer persecution in the Name of Jesus.

Dear God we pray for those
who are terminally ill and their
                loved ones and care-takers.

Dear God we pray for those who
suffer from lack of what they need.
We pray people will be loving
                and generous and help them.

Dear God we pray for joy to serve
You and do Your will –

Dear God we pray for enthusiasm and
                    perseverance in living our
                    vocation –

Dear God, we know You hear
us – even if we don't
get exactly what we pray for –
                    We know God answers
                    our prayers – some way.

                God always listens to our
                    heartfelt prayers –

Dear God – help your people to unite –
Oh Lord – help us – Help us to love
the brothers and sisters You gave
                us in the Father's family.

Help us to serve You as You
                desire – Gather Your people
in the Heart of Jesus, united
                in love –
Help us to be holy –
Help us to be united –

We know God is a God of miracles.
We have seen people who were healed.
People who had drowned and it
seemed a miracle they were okay.
We are talking about Jesus –
                Jesus was crucified and died
on the cross. They put Him in
                a tomb. He rose on
the 3rd day and His body
                was glorified. Jesus rose from
                the dead.

On May 13th, last year a little
boy fell in the pool and we didn't
                know how long –
he was in the hospital two
weeks – There was no damage and
he is fine – in all ways.

God is a God of miracles –
                Miracles are ordinary for God,
we are called to believe in the
                miracles of Jesus.

Jesus rose from the dead –
On May 13, 2017 it will be
                100 years since Mary's first
                apparition in Fatima –

Mary appeared to me 1 1/2 hours
                in the China Church Tuesday.
She wants us to consecrate the
                whole world and our country
to the Immaculate Heart and the
                Sacred Heart.

Mary wants us to spread the
                    Blood of Jesus.

                1997

In Blue Book 17 – almost one year after
                    Mary's apparitions in Clearwater –
Jesus asked over and over again
to spread the Blood of Jesus on
                    the world at 6, 9, 12, 3 and to
consecrate the Church and the world
to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart.

                This was 20 Years ago.

Excerpt from October 13, 1997 Rosary

Jesus: ... I am asking you, My shepherds, to be the light to this darkened world, to carry the light into the darkness, to spread this Movement to the far ends of the earth, to carry My consecration to the hearts that are cold and empty. You are the apostles I call. I do not call every person an apostle. You are chosen. Your Movement will spread to the far ends of the earth, and it will be full of associates. You are the chosen ones. Will you answer this call? Will you help carry the light? Will you help with the completion of the Fatima mission? 80 years later, I have called you. Will you respond to My call? I am Jesus, the Son of God.

From Tell My People by Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J.

        Age of the Two Hearts

Jesus:  "My beloved priest-companion, I have allowed you to experience in extraordinary fashion the riches contained in My Heart and My Mother's Heart. I desire that you tell all My people about these riches. I desire that My people consecrate themselves to My Sacred Heart and to Mary's Immaculate Heart. My people are living in the beginnings of the age of the Two Hearts.

"After the time of the purification is completed, this new era of the Church and the world will become firmly established. This era will be characterized by the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. All those who consecrate themselves to My Heart and to My Mother's Heart will help to establish this glorious new age. I am Lord and Master. Please listen to My urgent request. Within Our Hearts you will experience the love and security, the peace and the joy, which you all desire. I love My people with a tremendous love, and in My love I give them this message!"

               From the Pre-Blue Book

October 5, 1992 - 3:30am

R. Dear Jesus, Give me Your hand to write this book for you. I am your servant. I want to be Your hand to this world. If you, Lord Jesus, would write a book, what would you say?

Jesus: My dear children,

Today I come to deliver a message to each of you. I want to tell you of each person's dignity, of their beauty and their self-worth. Each child is, oh, so uniquely precious to My Most Sacred Heart. Each child is full of the talents I have given to them. Each person is divinely created by God and given all these gifts to be happy and love one another.

The problem comes when you feel you will be left out. That you will be left by another who has trodden on you and will do it again. I see you all as My most precious children. I watch your every move and know all pain and anguish in your heart. My Heart aches, you have insecure feelings about yourself. I came to this earth I died for you. I felt cold, hungry, lonely on this earth. You need not worry that no one knows the pain and anguish in your heart. God created you with such special gifts and talents. It is important for you to raise above your wound and forgive those who hurt you.

You need only turn your will and your life over to Me and I will guide you in all your ways. I have all the Power. Many are not of My ways. The key to life is to recognize your faults, but still know you are this precious gift of My Father a gift to this world. This world is in need of your strength. Running yourself down, blaming others hurting them can cause you misery and pain. At this very moment, you are the precious creation of God!! You must operate with Me in your heart.

You need not run yourself down. I am with you every day guiding your ways, lest your foot stumble and you lose your way. You will not wander far from your path if every day you keep bringing your focus back to Me. If you dare let Me be at the helm, if you dare to really let Me run your life, I will do with you such wonders that you yourself would be amazed. But you will know with such ease when you did these things that you did not do them alone. You will know My power, moving the mountain, My power chipping at the stone, My power working on your hardest problem and you will be set free.

Oh yes, you will be set free and know a serenity that only comes from letting go and letting Me run your life. To you, My child, I have given all that is good. I made you My holy soldier, My warrior in a world of pain and hatred. You are the light that shines in the darkness, you are the coat to a cold child, you are the smile that warms a troubled and lonely heart. You are the comfort for everyone you meet, because My most precious Heart powers you, smiles through you, understands and loves through you.

Love your fellows for Me. There are so many troubled hearts that need to know My love. I can love through you if you let Me, I can be their friend through you if you let Me. I am He who comforts you and you are he who comforts them. My power is endless, it never runs out, there is not a power failure EVER. In your darkest hour, My light shines in the darkness and I say to you, "Oh blessed of My Father, look at yourself with awe, you are My creation, you are indeed so precious to Me, you are My light to this world, you are My hands and My feet and most of all My Heart."

Oh, you are My loving Heart, to those who are bowed down, to those who are lost in the darkness, you carry My smile and wear My armor in a world that is trying to tear one another down with hate and ugliness. There is gentleness, there is love, there is hope in you, if you open yourself up to Me. Be My knight to the world, wear My armor. I am your God and I will protect you from the darkness. Plug into My power, be not afraid, I go before you always and you can rest in My arms when you feel weary. You can put your head in My lap and weep, you will know, I am truly with you and you are My light to this world. I created you so special - to cast out fear in the darkness, to clothe the naked, to give hope to the oppressed, to be as I live in you and love through you and you are My smile and I touch My hurting ones through your love.

You are he who loves this world. You must stay plugged into My power-source This world is hungry for My love. It needs My love, I give to them through you. I am your God and I made you as a gift to the world. You are filled.

Focus on Me and your life will be abundant and whole, joy in suffering, freedom but you can take the knocks because you will know you do not go it alone, but with Me. I love you My precious child.    end of excerpt

 THE TWELVE STEPS OF AA

Here are the steps we took, which are suggested as a program of recovery:

                    1.  We admitted we were powerless over alcohol,
that our lives had become unmanageable.

                    2.  Came to believe that a Power greater than
ourselves could restore us to sanity.

                    3.  Made a decision to turn our will and our lives
over to the care of God as we understood Him.

                    4.  Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

                    5.  Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human
being the exact nature of our wrongs.

                    6.  Were entirely ready to have God remove all
                            these defects of character.

                    7.  Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.

                    8.  Made a list of all persons we had harmed,
and became willing to make amends to them all.

                    9.  Made direct amends to such people wherever possible,
except when to do so would injure them or others.

                    10.  Continued to take personal inventory and when we
                            were wrong promptly admitted it.

                    11.  Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our
conscious contact with God as we understood Him,
praying only for knowledge of His will for us and
the power to carry that out.

                    12.  Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps,
we tried to carry this message to alcoholics,
and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

THE PROBLEM

CHILDREN OF ALCOHOLICS:   These are the characteristics we seem to have in common
due to having been brought up in an alcoholic household:

                        1. We became isolated and afraid of people and authority figures.
                        2. We became approval seekers and lost our identity in the process.
                        3. We either become alcoholics, marry them or both or find another
compulsive personality such as a workaholic to fulfill our sick
                            abandonment.
                        4. We are frightened by angry people and any personal criticism.
                        5. We live life from the viewpoint of helping and seeking victims,
and are attracted by that weakness in our love and friendship
                            relationship.
                        6. We have an overdeveloped sense of responsibility, and it is easier
for us to be concerned with others rather than ourselves.
This enables us not to look closely at our faults, etc.
                        7. We get guilt feelings when we stand up for ourselves instead we
                            give in to others.
                        8. We become addicted to excitement.
                        9. We confuse love with pity and tend to "love" people we can pity and rescue.
                      10. We have stuffed back our feelings from our traumatic childhoods and have
lost the ability to feel or express our feelings. It hurts so much (denial).
                      11. We judge ourselves harshly and have a very low sense of self-esteem,
sometimes compensated for by trying to appear superior.
                      12. We are dependent personalities who are terrified of abandonment.
We will do anything to hold onto a relationship in order not to experience
the pain of abandonment. We are conditioned to these types of relationships.
                      13. Alcoholism is a family disease and we became para-alcoholics.
We took on the characteristics of that disease even though
we did not pick up the drink.
                      14. Para-alcoholics are reactors rather than actors.

THE GOALS
THE OPPOSITE OF "THE PROBLEM"

                        1. I feel comfortable and involved with people and authority figures.
                        2. I have a strong identity and give myself approval.
                        3. I accept and use personal criticism in a positive way.
                        4. I am becoming free from trying to fulfill my sick abandonment need.
                        5. As I face my own victim role, I am attracted by strengths and understand
weaknesses in my love and friendship relationships.
                        6. I am getting well through loving and focusing on myself.
                        7. It feels great to stand up for myself.
                        8. I enjoy peaceful serenity.
                        9. I love people who love and take care of themselves.
                      10. I am free to feel and express my feelings even when painful.
                      11. I have a healthy sense of self-esteem.
                      12. I am freed from the fear of abandonment in relationships as I rely
more and more on my Higher Power.
                      13. Through the ACA group, I examine and release para-alcoholic behaviors
I learned while living with the family disease of alcoholism.
                      14. I am an actor in this world.

THE PROMISES

                        1. We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness.
                        2. We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it.
                        3. We will comprehend the word serenity, and we will know peace.
                        4. No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see
how our experience can benefit others.
                        5. That feeling of uselessness and self-pity will disappear.
                        6. We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows.
                        7. Self-seeking will slip away.
                        8. Our whole attitude and outlook will change.
                        9. Fear of people and economic insecurity will leave us.
                      10. We will know intuitively how to handle situations that used to baffle us.
                      11. We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves.

improvement in the spiritual life --

May 16, 1998 - Prayer to the Father

My Father,

With my whole heart I desire to consecrate the whole world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I wish with my whole being for the salvation of souls and that man live according to Thy Holy Will. I pray my Father that we may be one in You and Your Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit that we may intercede to You for this cause.

It is this burning desire within my soul to spread the consecration to the far ends of the earth, that the cries of Your children are cries of glory and honor and adoration, praising God as their God.

My Father, at this moment a soul hangs on the edge of death. For all eternity they will go to a place. It is not the plot of this soul as it trods this barren land to decide on the edge of death. You created us that we would grow in our oneness with God, that we would mature more and more in our image and likeness to God.

And so My Father, I pray with every cell in my body for this earth. In the name of Your Son Jesus I consecrate all the souls of this earth to the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the Holy Spirit in union with the Holy sacrifice of the Mass with all the angels and saints and the souls in Purgatory.

I beg You Father for mercy.
I beg You Father for assistance.
I beg You Father to help us to spread this consecration to the far ends of the earth.

Please help us. We are helpless little ones coming in the heart of our Mother, bleeding from our wounds and our sins.

Your Son, Jesus Christ, shed the last drop of His Blood for the salvation of mankind. We wish to unite in this sacrifice, sacramentally made present in the Mass all over the world at every moment. Help us to make reparation to You for the sins of men.

Please my Father, help us. Held in the heart of Mary and the Heart of Jesus we come as the children of Eve to beg for the Reign of the Sacred Heart and the Triumph of Mary's heart. Look upon our love, Your shepherds in the Shepherds of Christ, our sacrifices and devotion to You Our Beloved Father. Come by the means of the Holy Spirit and sanctify us and make us whole, that we are one in Your Son Jesus, praying to You, Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus in the Holy Spirit united with all the angels and saints, in the heart of Mary. We beg for help for special intentions concerning the Movement. We beg for help to reach the Churches to give these prayers of Jesus to them, to reach the schools and the family. Help we cry as poor banished children of Eve. Help us Father to do this work the Good Shepherd has entrusted to us. Help us to be one in You that we act as intercessors to help this world to be turned to God as their God, loving, honoring and adoring Him as the Lord of Host is truly present on His throne.

We are Your children Father, we implore You to answer our prayer.
We love You, we worship You, we adore You, we thank you and we sing from the bottom of our hearts, Holy God we Praise Your Name. Alleluia

imperfections
like sticks
into our neighbors
or intimate others

May 16, 2004 message continues

Jesus speaks:        I call you to purity and peace.

                            I have called religious communities
to grow in great oneness for a
                        particular purpose.

These people may be thought of as
many rooms united in one house.

May 16, 2004 message continues

Jesus speaks:    The imperfection can be as pointed
                            sticks that come back again
and again and again until one
                            admits their problems to themselves
and prays for tremendous grace to get over
                            them

It may be a life long battle for one
to keep pride and control under
                        raps
an angry imperfection
lurking to come out and be heard.
Like a roaring lion, or hungry dogs
                        in the basement.

Sin is sin, many give into unloving
                            sinful ways, jealousy, lust, envy,
                            greed, pride,
wrath, gluttony, and sloth.

Messenger:        People can be getting along
                        then their imperfections come
                        out again and again
they operate
                        in the same pattern hurting
                        people around them they love.

How does a person live together
as a married couple for 50 or 60
                        years.

Matthew 22: 34-40

But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees they got together and, to disconcert him, one of them put a question, 'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets also'.

John 17: 20-23

I pray not only for these
but also for those
who through their teaching
will come to believe in me.
May they all be one,
just as, Father, you are in me
   and I am in you,
so that they also may be in us,
so that the world may believe
it was you who sent me.
I have given them the glory
   you gave to me,
that they may be one as we are one.
With me in them and you in me,
may they be so perfected in unity
that the world will recognise
that it was you who sent me
and that you have loved them
as you have loved me.

Messenger:       Christ took on all our sins
                            suffered with all our sins

                        In the Nursing home
                            people live each day

We have a life time of living our
                            vocation in love.

How did Christ live on this
earth as He did His work the
                            Father gave Him.

                        Christ is the example.

We are to live like saints.

                        Couples living together
                            grow in union.

                            Small acts of love.
                            Great acts of love.

We should pray for married couples
pray they may be united in
                            Christ in this
                            difficult world.

Realize this life is to lead us to heaven.

What is the key in this troubled
                                world living together
                                in marriage 60 years,
                                50 years, 25 years it
                                is LOVE.

Fidelity to each other is the sacrament
                                of marriage.

A servant and handmaid is married
                            to Jesus.

Revelation 21: 1-10

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne, ‘Look, here God lives among human beings. He will make his home among them; they will be his people, and he will be their God, God–with–them. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness or pain. The world of the past has gone.’

Then the One sitting on the throne spoke. ‘Look, I am making the whole of creation new. Write this, "What I am saying is trustworthy and will come true." Then he said to me, ‘It has already happened. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give water from the well of life free to anybody who is thirsty; anyone who proves victorious will inherit these things; and I will be his God and he will be my son. But the legacy for cowards, for those who break their word, or worship obscenities, for murderers and the sexually immoral, and for sorcerers, worshippers of false gods or any other sort of liars, is the second death in the burning lake of sulphur.

One of the seven angels that had the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues came to speak to me and said, ‘Come here and I will show you the bride that the Lamb has married.’ In the spirit, he carried me to the top of a very high mountain, and showed me Jerusalem, the holy city, coming down out of heaven from God.

                            spousal union.

May 16, 2004 message continues

Messenger:       There is joy in the vocation
                            Serving Jesus
                            being a handmaid
                            like Mary

                        Giving oneself for the joy
                            of serving Jesus

                            not for selfish pride

                            not to get old wounds
                            worked out on others
                            in the community

                        A handmaid and servant is
                            humble and docile
                            serving Jesus as His
                            bride in the Movement.

A handmaid and servant does their hour.

They do not sleep during this hour
                            every day.

                        They attend daily Mass.

                        They pray the 6:20 prayers.

                        They pray hourly.

                        They pray the rosary.

In the Mass we offer ourselves
                            as a sacrifice.

The Mass talks about our sin. In the
beginning of Mass we ask forgiveness
for our sins and for grace.

                        Christ died for our sins.

He came to this earth and gave
Himself to His death on the
                            cross for our sins.

1 John 1: 8-10

If we say, ‘We have no sin,’
we are deceiving ourselves,
and truth has no place in us;
if we acknowledge our sins,
he is trustworthy and upright,
so that he will forgive our sins
and will cleanse us from all evil.
If we say, ‘We have never sinned,’
we make him a liar,
and his word has no place in us.

May 16, 2004 message continues

Messenger:           Christ died for our sins, He
took our sins on His back, He
                        was whipped, crowned with thorns,
nailed to a cross, and hung for 3
                        hours for our sins.

                            Look what Judas did. Christ
loved Him even though He knew
                        He would betray Him.

It is pride to think we have
arrived and we do not have to
                        work on our imperfections. When
                        we act wrongfully, habitually in
                        relationships we hurt others and
                        our own spiritual life.

                            Many communities today have
                        dissolved because people do not
want to live under anyone, they
want to do things their own way.
The world teaches us to be out for
                        #1.

Jesus wants communities as the Shepherds
of Christ living for a common purpose in
                        oneness

Living as the spouse of Jesus.
                        Living to please our spouse.
Living our vocation in love and with
                        commitment.

May 16, 2004 message continues

Messenger:     Does that mean that I rattle it off
                            and do what I please

Or does that mean during retreat and
daily when I commit I kneel
                            before Jesus in the tabernacle
or before the crucifix and I
                            commit to my vocation.

Then I live my vocation, committed
to my vocation in love, playing
                            power games, passive-aggressive
games with others and the superior
is a far cry from living ones
vocation in holy love to please
                            Jesus our spouse.

The spiritual exercises are key in
helping one look at sin and their
                            attachments, praying for grace
to not be blind and to change
                            from hidden destructive habits,
doing all things for the honor and
glory of God, meditating on the
                            lives of Jesus and Mary.

The St. Ignatian retreat/Shepherds of Christ
retreat is centered around a different set of
mysteries of the rosary every day.
                        Jesus has promised tremendous graces
for healing from the retreats in
                        China.

Lets look at a dark room with lots
of furniture. A man goes into the room
in the dark and keeps hitting himself on
chairs, lamps, the sofa, a table. Unless
a path is cleared and he moves some furniture
                        so he can follow it
he will keep stumbling
into the furniture in the way as he walks
                        in the dark.

                            Our hidden imperfections are
like that. We keep stumbling into
                        them, they are usually habitual
behaviors from childhood and if some
friend or others tell us about our
ways, or a confessor, we like to
blame them and continue the same
                        way resistant to change.

Couple that with a community of
men and women living in different
                        houses, but working together, some
have broken marriages, some are fathers
and mothers of children who have been
                        real problems, some have grown
up in an alcoholic house, some
                        are very controlling and prideful,
some have lived alone for 60 years,
                        some are babies, or rescuers,
some are very angry people, sex offenders.

No wonder community religious life is
on the down side in a world that
                        is so secularistic and prideful,
with so many evil ways, luring
                        sexual pleasures on newsstands
                        everywhere even
health magazines
                        in the mailbox.

                            Convents and seminaries have
closed, Churches etc. and yet more and
more million and 1/2 dollar houses
are built every day as a second
home, hotels in Las Vegas that cannot
                        even hardly be envisioned, marble,
gold, so many rooms to accommodate
                        the pleasure city.

Where have all the sisters gone.
One, two or maybe none in some Catholic
                        schools. Many Catholic schools merged
                        or closed.

My sister who commit suicide on
                        the Blessed Mother's birthday after
being a Sister of Charity for 26 years
went from a postulant outfit using
only a wash bowl to a red dress
at 24 years and not living in a
convent any more. She had taken a
vow of poverty, required, many new
                        sisters did not have to.

Jesus is talking about servants and
                        handmaids loving their vocation.
Fr. Carter said he thanked God everyday
when speaking to us and prayed for
                        perseverance every day.

Excerpt from February 1, 1998

Talk by Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J.

Perseverance in the Movement—all vocations, all callings need perseverance. I pray for perseverance as a Jesuit every day of my life. I pray for perseverance. I’m suggesting to all of us that we pray for perseverance in the Movement and not just a status quo type of perseverance, but pray for a perseverance which will allow us to dynamically grow and be greater apostles in the Movement. And we have to take the means to persevere.

Messenger:       This is a vocation in the Shepherds of Christ.

How do you think Jesus likes whiners,
working out their games on the
                            leaders, leaders giving bad
                            examples in religious communities.

                        Jesus wants special spouses.
Living to love and please Him.

January 2, 1999

Mary speaks: I am Our Lady of Snows. I come to cover the earth with a soft white blanket of my love.

I come to bring peace to the earth. I tell you to let go of the anxiety in your heart and experience my peace and His love.

I am your heavenly Mother. I come to hold you and caress you and take you to my Immaculate Heart.

Jesus speaks:        I want big pictures of the
                        crucifix in Clearwater
                        circulated. I have attached
                        tremendous grace to those
                        who pray fervently before the
                        crucifix

Under the crucifix it must say

                        From St. Ignatius

"What have I done for Christ?
What am I doing for Christ?
What ought I do for Christ?"

On the back it should say

Cardinal Newman tells us: "Everyone who breathes, high and low, educated and ignorant, young and old, man and woman, has a mission, has a work. We are not born at random... God sees every one of us; He creates every soul, He lodges it in a body, one by one, for a purpose. He needs, He deigns to need, every one of us."10

10. John Henry Cardinal Newman, Discourses Addressed to Mixed Congregations, Longmans, Green and Co., pp. 111-112.

                        Some should be laminated.
Some about size of prayer manual.

Messenger:     Our vocation must be lived with
                            a pure intention to be
                            whatever God calls us to

                            to love and serve God.

We must strive to live each day
                            in joy, in love.
We must see the gifts God
                            gives us

See His grace given to us.

Pray for grace to live our vocation.

Do we identify with the passion
                            and forget about meditating
                            on the joy?

Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Think of the 40 days of lent
the 40 days of joy after Easter.

We are in those days of joy.

                        We are imperfect we must
                            strive to be more perfect,
but be loving for we are
                            imperfect and so are our
                            brothers.

Think of a mom or dad getting
up with the baby. The mom
                            breastfeeding it after she is
                            already exhausted, cleaning
up vomit for a sick child when
you have just had a new baby and are
                            breastfeeding a new baby.

THIS IS LOVE OF HER VOCATION.

                        Shouldn't a religious nun or
                            brother, love their vocation

                            serve Jesus and show love

Why are they a religious if they
                            complain about everything
                            they are asked to do

They are in the wrong vocation
                            possibly they should go
out to the world where they
                            can "call the shots".

                        Convents and seminaries are empty
                            don't you think you should
                            pray like Jesus said.

Words of Jesus to Members of
Shepherds of Christ Associates:

"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.

"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.

"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."

feast of Saint Ignatius Loyola, Founder of the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits)

A message for the Earth from Jesus

January 22, 1998

I am the Good Shepherd, these are My prayers, the prayers I give to help renew the Church and the world, all prayer chapters are asked to include these prayers (found in the Shepherds of Christ Prayer Manual). As My Apostles and Shepherds I ask you to encourage all existing Chapters to try to encourage all existing prayer groups to pray the Shepherds of Christ prayers. Encourage all Churches to pray these prayers. It is most urgent that the people of this earth concur with the Father's wishes to begin Prayer Chapters. This is an urgent request from the Good Shepherd. The flock will become one when they have given their hearts to Jesus and Mary. Encourage all priests to pray the Shepherds of Christ prayers. Your world will be lighted with great light as the people of this earth pray these prayers.

My promise is this to you My beloved earth: When you give your heart to Me and spread the devotion to My Sacred Heart, I will write your name In My Heart. I promise to give the greatest graces when you pray these prayers for renewal of the Church and the world and take all who pray them deeply into My Heart. The prayers I give will bring about the reign of My Sacred Heart and the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart. I am Jesus Christ, this is My message of January 22, 1998, Please circulate this message to your world. I am the Good Shepherd, I know Mine and Mine know Me and they follow Me. Grace My Shepherds, I will give you the greatest graces for spreading these words to this earth and to your Church. I love you, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of Man, it is the Plan of the Father that Prayer Chapters are begun immediately and the Priestly Newsletter is given to all priests. The Voice of the Good Shepherd speaks through it.  end of January 22, 1998

This message was received before a live statue of the Sorrowful Mother after Communion.
Message from Jesus: "Peace will abound when nations, churches, families and individuals are consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary."
"Fr. Carter is a pillar of light to the dark world. This is the explanation of the photo. It is through him, I will turn darkness to light. Circulate this message with the picture. Encourage all to consecrate their hearts to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to join the Shepherds of Christ Chapters, and the Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Movement to pray for your Church and your world. This is My Movement for renewal of the Church and the world, based in consecration, joining your every act to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, praying the rosary, and making reparation to Our Hearts, especially on First Fridays and First Saturdays. It is through your prayers and sacrifices many souls will be helped to be saved. Grace will flow from those whose hearts are consecrated to Our Hearts and the fire of My Love will light up this darkened world."
As you look at the picture, you see Fr. Carter's arm and hand on your left. This picture of Fr. Carter was taken July 2, 1996 at the Tuesday Shepherds of Christ Meeting at Tom Arlinghaus' Farm.    end of July 4, 1996 message

Second Sunday of Easter

Acts 2: 42-47

These remained faithful to the teaching of the apostles, to the brotherhood, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers. And everyone was filled with awe; the apostles worked many signs and miracles. And all who shared the faith owned everything in common; they sold their goods and possessions and distributed the proceeds among themselves according to what each one needed. Each day, with one heart, they regularly went to the Temple but met in their houses for the breaking of bread; they shared their food gladly and generously; they praised God and were looked up to by everyone. Day by day the Lord added to their community those destined to be saved.

Psalm 118: 2-4, 13-15, 22-24

Let the House of Israel say,
‘His faithful love endures for ever.’
Let the House of Aaron say,
‘His faithful love endures for ever.’
Let those who fear Yahweh say,
‘His faithful love endures for ever.’

I was pushed hard, to make me fall,
but Yahweh came to my help.
Yahweh is my strength and my song,
he has been my Saviour.

Shouts of joy and salvation,
in the tents of the upright,
‘Yahweh’s right hand is triumphant,

The stone which the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
This is Yahweh’s doing,
and we marvel at it.
This is the day which Yahweh has made,
a day for us to rejoice and be glad.

1 Peter 1: 3-9

Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in his great mercy has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into a heritage that can never be spoilt or soiled and never fade away. It is reserved in heaven for you who are being kept safe by God’s power through faith until the salvation which has been prepared is revealed at the final point of time.

This is a great joy to you, even though for a short time yet you must bear all sorts of trials; so that the worth of your faith, more valuable than gold, which is perishable even if it has been tested by fire, may be proved—to your praise and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed. You have not seen him, yet you love him; and still without seeing him you believe in him and so are already filled with a joy so glorious that it cannot be described; and you are sure of the goal of your faith, that is, the salvation of your souls.

John 20: 19-31

In the evening of that same day, the first day of the week, the doors were closed in the room where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, ‘Peace be with you,’ and, after saying this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy at seeing the Lord, and he said to them again, ‘Peace be with you.

    ‘As the Father sent me,
    so am I sending you.’

After saying this he breathed on them and said:

    Receive the Holy Spirit.
    If you forgive anyone’s sins,
    they are forgiven;
    if you retain anyone’s sins,
    they are retained.

Thomas, called the Twin, who was one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples said to him, ‘We have seen the Lord,’ but he answered, ‘Unless I can see the holes that the nails made in his hands and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I can put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe.’ Eight days later the disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them. The doors were closed, but Jesus came in and stood among them. ‘Peace be with you,’ he said. Then he spoke to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put it into my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.’ Thomas replied, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him:

You believe because you can see me.
Blessed are those who have not seen
        and yet believe.

There were many other signs that Jesus worked in the sight of the disciples, but they are not recorded in this book. These are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing this you may have life through his name.

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Litugical Year (2011/2012)
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Audio CD - Read by Father Edward J. Carter
$ 10.00

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD.Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
