                May 3, 2011

                R. You stole my heart Lord —

For Your goodness to me —
So often I take things for granted —
The people You gave me to love —
The people who have helped me —

Let me see through Your eyes and
Not selfish eyes of my own —
Let me see through the eyes of Love —

Acts 4: 32-37

The whole group of believers was united, heart and soul; no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, as everything they owned was held in common. The apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus with great power, and they were all accorded great respect. None of their members was ever in want, as all those who owned land or houses would sell them, and bring the money from the sale of them, to present it to the apostles; it was then distributed to any who might be in need.

There was a Levite of Cypriot origin called Joseph whom the apostles surnamed Barnabas (which means 'son of encouragement'). He owned a piece of land and he sold it and brought the money and presented it to the apostles.

                R. We see the history of the Church —
Jesus suffered and died for our sins —
We hear this all through these scriptures —

                Jesus humbled Himself
Jesus rose from the dead —

The apostles in carrying out this
                    teaching of Jesus were so
                    active in the world —

Jesus taught them when He was with
                    them —
                    Jesus was preparing them for
                        this mission —

Jesus' message is of leading all
of us to the Father —

We are to give witness to Jesus who
is one with the Father —

When we are one with Jesus
we are one with the Father —

The Feast today is Philip and James —
Help us to follow in their footprints
                    to preach the Gospel with
                    our lives —
by living the Gospel message —
                    by witnessing with our lives
                        to the Gospel message of
                        loving God and loving others
                        as ourselves —

Sing: Come Lord Jesus: Send us Your Spirit
Renew the face of the earth —

                R. Oh God give us Your grace —
Oh God help us to share more abundantly
                            in Your life —
Oh God help us to see all these precious
gifts of love You give us everyday —

Oh God we love You so much —
Oh God we pray for the whole Church —
Oh God thank You for the Eucharist —
Oh God thank You for our priests —

Words of Jesus to Members of
Shepherds of Christ Associates:

"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.

"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.

"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."

- Message from Jesus to Father Edward J. Carter, S.J., Founder, as given on July 31, 1994,
feast of Saint Ignatius Loyola, Founder of the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits)

                R. Oh Jesus,
                Oh Jesus,
                Oh Jesus,
Oh Jesus, thank You for the priest
Oh Jesus, thank You for the Mass

Sing: A Priest is a Gift from God

                R. Oh God — pour Your Blood on the whole Church
Oh God — pour Your Blood on the whole world —
Oh God help us to begin these prayer chapters —
Oh God we thank You —
Oh God we love You —
Oh God help us to be holy —

Oh God help us to live the Gospel
message of Love in our lives —

Oh God help us to be witnesses to the Gospel —
Oh God help us to have
                    Light, Happiness and Peace

                R. Oh God thank You for these gifts

The Our Father

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

                Sing: Abba Father

                Sing: Dwelling Place

Communion Antiphon

Jesus Christ, you are the faithful witness, first-born from the dead,
you have loved us and washed away our sins in your blood.

Psalm 93: 1-2, 5

Yahweh is king, robed in majesty,
robed is Yahweh and girded with power.

The world is indeed set firm, it can never be shaken;
your throne is set firm from of old,
from all eternity you exist.

Your decrees stand firm, unshakeable,
holiness is the beauty of your house,
Yahweh, for all time to come.

John 3: 7-15

Do not be surprised when I say:
You must be born from above.
    The wind blows where it pleases;
    you can hear its sound,
but you cannot tell where it comes from
        or where it is going.
    So it is with everyone
who is born of the Spirit.

‘How is that possible?’ asked Nicodemus. Jesus replied, ‘You are the Teacher of Israel, and you do not know these things!

‘In all truth I tell you,
we speak only about what we know
and witness only to what we have seen
and yet you people reject our evidence.
If you do not believe me
when I speak to you about earthly things,
    how will you believe me
when I speak to you about heavenly things?
No one has gone up to heaven
    except the one
        who came down from heaven,
    the Son of man;
as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert,
so must the Son of man be lifted up
    so that everyone who believes
may have eternal life in him.

                R. We know Jesus is the Lamb of God
                    we pray

Lamb of God

Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

Sing: Holy God we Praise Thy Name

                R. When we love God — we hate sin —
If we really love God we don't want
to offend Him by sinning —

When we love someone we don't want to
                    do them any harm —

When we love God — we don't want to offend
                    Him by sin

                Jesus is a Person —

We have the desire of our heart to obey Him —

We want to serve Him more perfectly to
                    please Him —

We love our neighbor because God
tells us to love them —
We don't want to punish or hurt
                    our neighbor because of temptations
of satan to rise above them —
                    be condescending to them —

We want our neighbor to be all God created
                    them to be —

                They are unique —

They have a unique part in the mission to serve God and
we want to be united in helping to
                    build God's Kingdom —

Not give into satan who wants division —
                    being over — pettiness — love-hate relationships —
where we deceive someone by acting loving
                    and then hurting them —

We are bound in word and deed to try to be more and more
in the image of Jesus, in every
thought we want unity and love to help
                    build God's Kingdom —
to work to reach the souls Jesus died and rose for —

                Jesus is love —
                God is love —
God commands us to love —

Our pass to heaven depends on whether we
learned to love God as He deserves and
if we loved our neighbor as ourselves —
                    this is a commandment —

Matthew 22: 36-40

'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'

                R. This is a command from God for our lives —
                God is love

                Sing: We Have Been Told

The disposition of our heart is to be a heart of love —
How is the disposition of our heart —

Jesus has asked us in the Shepherds of Christ to spread this
devotion to His Heart and Mary's Heart —

Their Hearts are Hearts of pure and perfect love —
Jesus shows us His Heart of Love —
Jesus is the Sacred Heart of Jesus
A Heart of Divine and perfect Love

                R. This love God wants from us is rooted in faith —
                    We believe in God —
We see the world through the Father's eyes —
We see the world through the eyes of love

The spirit of the first disciples was a spirit of
unity and love — They believe deeply in
Jesus — they taught about Jesus who
died and rose — They spoke of this
gift God gave to the world —

They shared their wealth to build the Church —
The Trinity is the most perfect community —

The Indwelling of the Trinity and the Life of Grace p. 37-39

The spiritual life, the life of holiness, begins at Baptism. Archbishop Luis Martinez says:

"When we are born we are endowed by God with all we need for our human life, a complete organism, and a soul with the full range of faculties. Of course they are not all developed from birth, but we have them then as the source of everything we are going to need in life. And thus it is also in the spiritual order. When someone is baptized, he receives in all its fullness that supernatural world which the Christian carries within his soul. He receives grace, which is a participation of the nature of God; the theological virtues, which put him in immediate contact with the divine; the moral virtues, which serve to regulate and order all his life; and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the divine, mysterious receivers for picking up the Spirit’s inspirations and movements."2

Another author states: "The Three Divine Persons inhabit the sanctuary of our soul, taking their delight in enriching it with supernatural gifts and in communicating to us a Godlike life, similar to theirs, called the life of grace.

"All life, however, implies a threefold element: a vital principle that is, so to speak, the source of life itself; faculties which give the power to elicit vital acts; and lastly, the acts themselves which are but its development and which minister to its growth. In the supernatural order, God living within us produces the same elements. He first communicates to us habitual grace (the life of sanctifying grace) which plays the part of a vital supernatural principle. This principle deifies, as it were, the very substance of the soul and makes it capable, though in a remote way, of enjoying the Beatific Vision and of performing the acts that lead to it.

"Out of this grace spring the infused virtues and the gifts of the Holy Spirit which perfect our faculties and endow us with the immediate power of performing Godlike, supernatural, meritorious acts.

"In order to stir these faculties into action, He give us actual graces which enlighten our mind, strengthen our will, and aid us both to act supernaturally and to increase the measure of habitual grace that has been granted to us.

"Although this life of grace is entirely distinct from our natural life it is not merely superimposed on the latter. It penetrates it through and through, transforms it and makes it divine. It assimilates whatever is good in our nature, our education and our habits. It perfects and supernaturalizes all these various elements, directing them toward the last end, that is toward the possession of God through the Beatific Vision and its resultant life." 3

Our being in the state of sanctifying of grace and the special indwelling of the Persons of the Trinity within us always exist together. We cannot have the one without the other. Our life of grace, which is a sharing in Trinitarian life, allows us to know and love Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in a most intimate fashion. Through grace we are in the image of the Trinity, and we enjoy special relationships with the Divine Persons.

Again, we listen to the words of Archbishop Martinez as he speaks about our relationships with the Divine Persons:

"Love, we have said, is the foundation of devotion to the Holy Spirit, as it is also the foundation of Christian perfection. But love as a reflection of God, as His own image, is something that encloses within its simplicity a boundless wealth and a variety of forms. Who can fathom the depths of love?

"Human love in all its manifestations is admirably in harmony with the love of charity; it is confident in filial love, trusting in friendship, sweet and fruitful in the love of husband and wife, disinterested and tender in the love of a mother. Our love of God must include all these forms of human love; every fiber of our heart must vibrate when the harmonious and full canticle of love bursts forth from it. But since God is one in essence and triune in Persons, our love for Him takes on a particular aspect accordingly as it is directed to each one of the divine Persons.

"Our love for the Father is tender and confident like that of children; eager to glorify Him as His only-begotten Son taught us to do by word and example. Love for the Father is the intense desire to have His will fulfilled on earth as it is in heaven. Our love for the Son, who willed to become flesh for us, is characterized by the tendency to union with Him and transformation into Him; by imitation of His example, participation in His life, and the sharing of His sufferings and His Cross. The Eucharist, mystery of love, of sorrow, and of union, reveals the characteristics of this love.

"Love for the Holy Spirit also has its special character, which we should study in order completely to understand devotion to Him. We have explained how the Holy Spirit loves us, how He moves us like a divine breath that draws us to the bosom of God, like a sacred fire that transforms us into fire, like a divine artist who forms Jesus in us. Surely, then, our love for the Holy Spirit should be marked by loving docility, by full surrender, and by a constant fidelity that permits us to be moved, directed, and transformed by His sanctifying action.

"Our love for the Father tends to glorify Him; our love for the Son, to transform ourselves into Him; our love for the Holy Spirit, to let ourselves be possessed and moved by Him."4

Luke 24: 46, 26

and he said to them, ‘So it is written that the Christ would suffer and on the third day rise from the dead,

Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer before entering into his glory?’

Psalm 18: 50, 21, 23

He saves his king time after time,
displays his faithful love for his anointed,
for David and his heirs for ever.

since I have kept the ways of Yahweh,
and not fallen away from my God.

I am blameless before him,
I keep myself clear of evil.

                R. Even when the Apostles were arrested serving
the Lord in helping to build the Church —
the angel brought them forth —

They were prisoners of men and they were set free by
                    the power of God —

Sin keeps us stuck as prisoners — we can be
set free through the sacraments of penance —

John 3: 16

For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
    may not perish
but may have eternal life.

                R. God so loved the world He sent His only
begotten Son — this is the unfathomable
                    love God has for us

Jesus is the Light of the World

Satan wants to lead souls in darkness —
                Satan works in deception
                Satan is evil —
                Satan hates
                Satan wants isolation
Satan wants seeking dominance for dominance sake —

Satan tries to weaken structure by attacking
just authority by those under them —
                    rising up —
                    attacking structure needed —

John 15: 16, 19

You did not choose me,
no, I chose you;
and I commissioned you
to go out and to bear fruit,
fruit that will last;
so that the Father will give you
anything you ask him in my name.

If you belonged to the world,
the world would love you as its own;
but because you do not belong to the world,
because my choice of you
has drawn you out of the world,
that is why the world hates you.

                R. Jesus came and established His Church —

                What a gift

Look at all that have attacked the Church
                    and it has survived —

The Apostles saw first hand —
They saw Jesus teaching and walking the earth —
The hierarchy are the descendants of the
                    Apostles —

When World War I was raging Mary's message at
                    Fatima was reparation —
she even told the children to do this and
                        sacrifice —

Jesus at the end of the century began
                    the Shepherds of Christ —
Jesus told Fr. Carter to start these prayer chapters

Novena al Espiritu Santo  Franηais

Novena al Espiritu Santo  Portuguκs

                R. Jesus told me to have these 8 days of prayer
                    a month —
                    4 in Florida
4 in China in reparation —

Praying for devotion to the 2 Hearts —

                Mary said at Fatima —
Bishops needed to consecrate their diocese
to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and
if we don't do what she said at Fatima we would
                        have another War —

At the end of the century —
Jesus gave Fr. Carter this Movement —
                    In December, 1996 — Mary's image appeared
on the building for all to see —

77th Anniversary of Mary's appearance at Fatima

The Birth of the Full Ministries
of the Shepherds of Christ

"I wish to share with you part of a message which Jesus gave us on October 13, 1994. The message tells us about the expansion of the Shepherds of Christ movement:

'My beloved priest-companion, today I come to you with another mission. I am asking you to establish Shepherds of Christ Ministries. At My request you have already begun the priestly newsletter, "Shepherds of Christ", and the prayer chapters, Shepherds of Christ Associates...

'I am giving you this message on this day, the 77th Anniversary of the Great Apparition at Fatima, because of the close connection between the Shepherds of Christ movement and the Fatima message. The Fatima message is centered in devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart, especially in consecration to Our Hearts. Shepherds of Christ Ministries is also centered in devotion to Our Hearts. I will use Shepherds of Christ Ministries as a great instrument in helping to bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. When this occurs, My Church and the world will be experiencing the great era of peace promised by My Mother at Fatima.

'Today, then, October 13, 1994, the 77th Anniversary of the Great Apparition at Fatima, marks the birth of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. I pour forth the great love of My Sacred Heart to all. I am Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.'

Consecrate Your Churches, Home, and Workplace to Our Hearts

Jesus: I want you to consecrate the human race to Sacred Heart of Jesus. I want to be enthroned in all homes, churches, and businesses.

June is the month of the Sacred Heart. I want to be king and center of all hearts. I will keep My promises given to St. Margaret Mary of Alacoque. I promise all this from My most Sacred Heart. Consecrate your chapter to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Consecrate the church or room in which you hold your meeting.

Today is First Friday. I want you to circulate the message I gave to you on consecrating your homes to My Sacred Heart. Make booklets available for people to be able to consecrate their homes and businesses easily. Use the message I gave to you when you consecrated your home.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph. Consecrate all homes and businesses to Our Two Hearts. Tell all to have displayed and honored, pictures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. May and June are the months of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Tell all to consecrate their homes to Our Two Hearts. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. On this day, the 5th of May, 1995, First Friday, I request that you spend the next two months encouraging all to do this consecration.

Gather your friends and say the prayers I have instructed you to say. Sing "To Jesus Heart All Burning" and "Immaculate Mary." May these Two Hearts of love give all members of the human race peace, joy and love in their hearts.

R. Jesus said He desires to be honored by men in the Blessed Sacrament.

Jesus: Circulate the Blue Book messages. They promote this devotion. How My Heart is filled with happiness by the souls who come to the tabernacle and sit with Me. I am Jesus Christ, I wait and long and thirst for My precious souls to come. The souls of men have turned cold. I want souls to come to daily communion and be with Me in front of the tabernacle.

Men's hearts have turned cold. They do not know what love really means. I want hearts that are filled with fire for love of God. Men's hearts have turned to stone.

You are to promote devotion to My most Sacred Heart. I want hearts that burn with love for My Heart. It is through Me that you will know the Father's love. I am the Way, I am the Truth, I am the Life.

Offer a holy hour for the indifference, ingratitude, and sacrileges committed against Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, the Sacrament of His greatest love.

R. He promises great graces to those who give reparation to His Sacred Heart and who tell others about offering reparation to Him.

"It is better to obey God than
                    human men"
                    Peter said

Acts 5: 27-33

When they had brought them in to face the Sanhedrin, the high priest demanded an explanation. 'We gave you a strong warning', he said, 'not to preach in this name, and what have you done? You have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and seem determined to fix the guilt for this man's death on us.' In reply Peter and the apostles said, 'Obedience to God comes before obedience to men; it was the God of our ancestors who raised up Jesus, whom you executed by hanging on a tree. By his own right hand God has now raised him up to be leader and Saviour, to give repentance and forgiveness of sins through him to Israel. We are witnesses to this, we and the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.' This so infuriated them that they wanted to put them to death.

he who is of the earth
    is earthly himself
and speaks in an earthly way.
    He who comes from heaven
    bears witness to the things
        he has seen and heard,
    but his testimony
        is not accepted by anybody;
    though anyone
        who does accept his testimony
is attesting that God is true,
since he whom God has sent
    speaks God’s own words,
for God gives him the Spirit
        without reserve.
    The Father loves the Son
and has entrusted everything to his hands.
Anyone who believes in the Son
        has eternal life,
    but anyone who refuses
        to believe in the Son
            will never see life:
    God’s retribution hangs over him.’

Matthew 28: 20

and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you. And look, I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.’

                R. Jesus gives us the Blessed Sacrament —

He remains with us — truly present
in the Eucharist — He loves us so
                    very much

Revelation 5: 9-10

They sang a new hymn:
You are worthy to take the scroll
and to break its seals,
because you were sacrificed,
    and with your blood
you bought people for God
of every race, language, people and nation
and made them a line of kings and priests for God,
to rule the world.

Acts 5: 34-42

One member of the Sanhedrin, however, a Pharisee called Gamaliel, who was a teacher of the Law respected by the whole people, stood up and asked to have the men taken outside for a time. Then he addressed the Sanhedrin, 'Men of Israel, be careful how you deal with these people. Some time ago there arose Theudas. He claimed to be someone important, and collected about four hundred followers; but when he was killed, all his followers scattered and that was the end of them. And then there was Judas the Galilean, at the time of the census, who attracted crowds of supporters; but he was killed too, and all his followers dispersed. What I suggest, therefore, is that you leave these men alone and let them go. If this enterprise, this movement of theirs, is of human origin it will break up of its own accord; but if it does in fact come from God you will be unable to destroy them. Take care not to find yourselves fighting against God.' His advice was accepted; and they had the apostles called in, gave orders for them to be flogged, warned them not to speak in the name of Jesus and released them. And so they left the presence of the Sanhedrin, glad to have had the honour of suffering humiliation for the sake of the name. Every day they went on ceaselessly teaching and proclaiming the good news of Christ Jesus, both in the temple and in private houses.

                R. We see the multiplication of the loaves
                    Jesus did —

We know the gift of Jesus truly present
in the Eucharist feeds us today —

John 6: 1-15

After this, Jesus crossed the Sea of Galilee—or of Tiberias—and a large crowd followed him, impressed by the signs he had done in curing the sick. Jesus climbed the hillside and sat down there with his disciples. The time of the Jewish Passover was near.
Looking up, Jesus saw the crowds approaching and said to Philip, ‘Where can we buy some bread for these people to eat?’ He said this only to put Philip to the test; he himself knew exactly what he was going to do. Philip answered, ‘Two hundred denarii would not buy enough to give them a little piece each.’ One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said, ‘Here is a small boy with five barley loaves and two fish; but what is that among so many?’ Jesus said to them, ‘Make the people sit down.’ There was plenty of grass there, and as many as five thousand men sat down. Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed them to those who were sitting there; he then did the same with the fish, distributing as much as they wanted. When they had eaten enough he said to the disciples, ‘Pick up the pieces left over, so that nothing is wasted.’ So they picked them up and filled twelve large baskets with scraps left over from the meal of five barley loaves. Seeing the sign that he had done, the people said, ‘This is indeed the prophet who is to come into the world.’ Jesus, as he realised they were about to come and take him by force and make him king, fled back to the hills alone.

Jesus: Pray for the little ones making their first
                    communion —

I long for the children to come to Me —
to want to receive Me —

My little ones are to be told of how
I love them so much —
focus on your love for Me and
teach them by your example —

                When you give —
let your gift be for My honor and glory
                    not your vain glory —

Let your gift be pure and done with
                    much love —
not to attain power and affections
                    for yourself —

Surrender to the Father's will —
                    Pray to be holy and
To know — This is My Movement and
                    I am directing it —
I am Jesus, I was sent by the Father —

Mary's image in Clearwater was a gift of
the Father to all to know the message
                    I give —
of your need to be holy and to pray —

Don't give into satan to hurt this work
I am accomplishing through you —

They jailed the children at Fatima —
                    they were children!!
                    They did this, jailed children,
                    to block the message —

They jailed and flogged the apostles to
                    block My message!!!

Now I deliver this message to you to
unite and do what the Father has
called you to do to help —

Your discontent is coming from your
                    own control, division and
                    your jealousies —

                See My Mother

                Know the Father's message
Know His Plan to bring the Reign of My Sacred Heart
and triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart

And serve Me with fire —

Have faith! In all the gifts I have given
to you why do you give
                    into satan —

Thank Me for My gifts to you —
                Be pure of heart —
Be kind in all your gifts given —

A bitter heart makes you bitter —

I am Jesus the Savior —

I walked on the water —
When Peter doubted he started to fall in —
                Have faith in this mission!!

When you serve Me you take up your
                    daily frustrations and remember
those who gave their blood as
a sacrifice to the Father and went
before you to help build My Church —
I am Jesus — I give you little
sufferings and you forget, I died for
you and suffered the passion —
If you walk in My footsteps you
too — will suffer or you have
                    not followed Me —
in the building of My Kingdom

Ecce Fides is a work dedicated to defending Catholic beliefs through reason, Scripture, and the life of the Holy Spirit. "It is important that we (as people of God) return to the source of life, our faith, which is usefully exposed in this volume, and take it out to our contemporaries, evangelizing them and their cultures and inculturating the Gospel." Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15
Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15
Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Guiding Light - The Word Alive in Our Hearts. - Cycle A (partial) — Homilies by the Reverend Joe Robinson given at St. Boniface Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a tremendous honor Fr. Joe has allowed us to share these great gifts with you – for greater holiness and knowing more and more about God. $10

Shepherds of Christ Prayer Manual. The Shepherds of Christ has prayer chapters all over the world praying for the priests, the Church and the world. These prayers that Father Carter compiled in the summer of 1994 began this worldwide network of prayer. Currently the prayers are in eight languages with the Church’s Imprimatur. We have prayed daily for the priests, the Church, and the world since 1994. Associates are called to join prayer Chapters and help us circulate the newsletter centered on spreading devotion to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and helping to renew the Church through greater holiness. Please form a Prayer Chapter & order a Prayer Manual.

Holy Spirit Novena Booklet. In four languages with the Imprimatur with 18 scripture readings for two complete novenas – this very powerful Holy Spirit Novena has prayers for prayers for Protection by the Blood of Jesus, Healing, Strength and Light, To Be One with God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, One with Jesus, To Dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, Prayer for the Holy Spirit and His Gifts, and the Word Alive in Our Hearts. All these prayers take about 10 minutes daily recited out loud. $1

Spirituality Handbook. Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. did 3 synopsis of the spiritual life. The Spirituality Handbook, the Priestly Newsletter 2000 Issue 3 and the Tell My People book. The way of spiritual life proposed to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates is centered in consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. All aspects of the spiritual life discussed below should be viewed as means to help members develop their lives in consecration to Christ, the Sacred Heart, and to Mary, the Immaculate Heart. $3
Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #1 - CD. - Christ is Our Strength - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our-selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #2 - CD. - Suffering: A Source of Life - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. Fr. Carter knew suffering that year. His voice is so powerful as he read each Newsletter from his heart and soul. "Every man has his own share in the redemption. Each one is also called to share in that suffering through which the redemption was accomplished. He is called to share in that suffering through which all human suffering has also been redeemed. In bringing about the redemption through suffering, Christ has also raised human suffering to the level of the redemption. Thus each man in his suffering can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ..." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
