A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

Messenger: Include Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center in 6:20 prayers.

Messenger: Our Lord wishes that we circulate
                        the Priestly Newsletter book II
                        to all the priests.

We also have bills from the printing
                        from the last two Newsletters.

If you can help or know someone who
                        can, please ask them.

We are still short rosary beads for
                        the rosary makers for rosaries
in the school for the month of October.

Our Lord would like us to purchase
                        B&M printing.

They have printed most of the materials
you have received and want to work
                        doing this work for Jesus.

Do you know anyone that can help us?

One of the major expenses is printing.
                        (They can also print books.)

Received 2001, Issue 1, SHEPHERDS OF CHRIST

Dear Father,

This is to thank you sincerely for the many copies of SHEPHERDS OF CHRIST, 2001, Issue 1, which I had received a few days ago and already distributed to all the staff members of this major seminary; the few remaining I have placed on the table of the Periodical Room where the students can sit and read at their leisure.  The material is so good and edifying that no one reading it can resist the call to a holier life.
I am deeply saddened to read of the death of Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J., a truly holy and learned man, who could not rest till he communicated his depth and wisdom to others like me. Gone to his eternal reward for doing so much for Jesus and fellow priests all over the world, I pray for his repose as I pray for his intercession on my behalf.
Wishing you all the austere joy of Holy Week, and freshness and fullness of joy at Easter,
Sincerely yours,
FR. MERVYN

Messenger:

I remember Mt. Krizevac in Medjugorje—we traveled the rough
road up the mountain, but oh at the top, the view was awesome.

We traveled the rough road many times here below, but we
have the Eucharist and the Mass and one another and the beautiful
world God gives us, but when we get to the end, if
we loved and served the Lord, oh we cannot imagine
        the glorious reward.

Hills and valleys—all the way up the mountain at Medjugorje, but oh the end.

Oh I know Him in the ecstasies and gifts He has given, I have
seen the transfigured Lord, but oh the sight of a priest
holding up the host and the joy of receiving Him. Music
for my soul. The Divine God comes to me a sinner and He loves me
so much and I love Him with all my heart. Oh God forgive
my ingratitude for Your gifts and please give me the great eternal reward
of everlasting life with You so deeply united to You my beloved God.

This is an excerpt from Father Willig's book as he talks
about some of his treatment and tests.

Excerpt from Father Willig's book

I tried to take care of myself through my daily treatment of immunotherapy, and I continued to receive this interferon and interluken mixture for several months. When I returned to my oncologist, Dr. Brian Mannion, I was eager to see if all my hard homework had paid off. As with every school, I had to take more tests. More CAT scans were ordered. Soon, I heard that the immunotherapy had not worked. The cancer not only was still in my lungs, but it had also grown in size and number. There were now more tumors in my right lung than there were previously.

(Lessons from the School of Suffering, a young priest with cancer teaches us how to live
by Reverend Jim Willig with Tammy Bundy.)

2 Corinthians 4: 8-10

We are subjected to every kind of hardship, but never distressed; we see no way out but we never despair; we are pursued but never cut off; knocked down, but still have some life in us; always we carry with us in our body the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus, too, may be visible in our body.

We need your help!

GREAT GRACE CAN BE released when we pray for our priests, the Church and the world before the Blessed Sacrament.

My name is John Weickert, President of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. Enclosed in this mailing you will find information promoting prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Our prayer movement, Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, is open to YOU. Imagine the grace released around the world as priests, religious and laity spend time praying before the Blessed Sacrament praying for the priests, the Church and the world! Please prayerfully consider this invitation to become a member. God gives us this precious gift of Jesus truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. There is such power in our prayers when we pray devoutly before the Blessed Sacrament. We need your help to pray for the priests, the Church and the world! We love you! God Bless!

In the Hearts of Jesus and Mary,

John Weickert,

President,
Shepherds of Christ Ministries

Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus

The Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus is a prayer movement which is under the direction of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. We are asking for volunteers who are willing to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for one hour, twice-weekly. Members of the Shepherds of Christ prayer chapters, as well as others, are invited to join this movement.
These apostles are to pray for the intentions given below. For part of the hour, you must use the prayers in the Shepherds of Christ Associates Handbook.  You may spend the rest of the hour as you so choose.
This prayer movement within the Shepherds of Christ Ministries is a powerful way to help in the renewal of the Church and the world. The name, Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, has been given to this movement.
This is indeed a special calling for you to unite in one heart with His Eucharistic Heart and pray for the following intentions:
  1. For the spread of the devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary culminating in the reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.
  2. For the Pope.
  3. For all bishops of the world.
  4. For all priests.
  5. For all sisters and brothers in the religious life.
  6. For all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, and for the spread of this movement to the world.
  7. For all members of the Catholic Church.
  8. For all members of the human family.
  9. For all souls in purgatory.
Jesus wants so much for us to come and be with Him. He is no less present in the tabernacle than the day He walked the earth. He will listen to our heartfelt prayers as Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus. His Heart beats in deepest love for us. How He loves His beloved priests and religious. He wants us to come to the Blessed Sacrament and pray to Him for them. Our prayers are especially powerful when we are before the tabernacle.
If you feel Jesus is calling you to be an apostle of His Eucharistic Heart, please complete the membership form. Please circulate this brochure and the sign-up forms. This is a call to priests, sisters, and laity, including children. The Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus do not have to be a member of the Shepherds of Christ chapters. There is such power in His Eucharistic Heart. Let us join one another and answer this call today. Adoration should begin as soon as possible.
Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus will receive the Shepherds of Christ Newsletter. It is very important to send in the membership form as soon as possible so we can send you the newsletter and any new information about the Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus.
As apostles, we will receive abundant graces from God and help bring about the renewal of the Church and the world. May you know the burning love of His Heart.

A Note from the President of Shepherds of Christ:

If you are devoted to Our Lady's rosary, we need your help! A member of our ministry is very devoted to Our Blessed Mother and he is helping to teach us how to grow our volunteer rosary makers. He estimates that we will need approximately $37,000 this year for beads alone! This translates into 22,339,500 rosary beads (yes, 22 million beads) assembled by volunteers into 378 thousand rosaries. The biggest users of our rosaries are the Catholic schools, who requested more than 100,000 rosaries last year.

Can you help us? I appeal to you for funds, whether large or small. We give because we love God, we love our Blessed Mother, and we love souls. We will accept gifts in many forms, besides cash or check donations, we can receive gifts directly in the form of stocks or property. These gifts can offer large tax advantages to the donor and increase the monetary value of the gift to us. Also if you can help assemble rosaries we need your help! If you can help us in anyway, please call or write us. God Bless!

I love you,
John Weickert

A rosary can be used to pray for healing. It is powerful to unite our prayers to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and pray through the powerful intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater.

In times of trouble, for special prayer, we can use our rosary and pray as follows.

A Rosary for Healing or for Someone with Cancer.

On one Hail Mary bead or as many as you desire, say:

May God heal                     through the intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater in union with the Mass and all the Masses being celebrated around the world.

Pray the Hail Mary or Hail Mary's then pray this after the Hail Mary.

May the cancer be uprooted and thrown into the sea.

We believe with all our hearts.

After the Glory Be — pray the following petition.

May                     be healed through the intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater if it be the holy will of God.

Note: You can look at Mary on the image rosary while you pray this rosary.

Note: The above section can be printed out from a PDF file, and you can pray the rosary looking at the pictures.

December 17, 2000, Mary speaks:

Help me to circulate my red and blue
    Rosary Books and the
prayers my Son gives to you.

This is a gift we give you.
All the revelations are gifts given to you.
My Son is the Light of the World.
He is Jesus born in a stable.
Will you help me?
He is the Light of the World. Help me, help me
reach my children of the world.
