                July 7, 2015

                R. We need God's grace to act supernaturally.
We need God's grace to see the vision of God.
We need to want and love to do God's will.

We have to stop sinning to do this
and be pure. We must be accountable
and responsible for sin, repent and
                ask for God's mercy.

If we want to quit sinning we
have to pray for grace. We must
                want order, obey structure –
pray for grace to not sin –
                We have tendencies toward the
deadly sins – we cannot give
into them, we need grace to do this.
The deadly sins are: pride, greed, envy,
                    wrath, lust, gluttony, and sloth.

                    To perform supernatural, god-like
acts of loving and knowing we need
God's grace. Faith, hope and love are theological
virtues and we need to pray to God
for grace to increase in faith, hope and love.
It is a gift from God. God gives
                the grace if man seeks
this and man because he has
a free will must cooperate with
                that grace to have God-like,
supernatural actions. (If he is baptized.)
This way a man acts – cooperating
with God's grace – leads him to
happiness – The goal of the
                man is God!

                    God infuses into the soul
these gifts – God will increase
in us the gifts of faith, hope and love
which we receive at baptism –
God put His handprint on our
                soul –
We seek Him – these actions make
us happy. God as our goal
                makes us happy –

In baptism we receive a sharing
in God's life – the life of grace.

Man can reason and will. Man is
a human person. A dog does
not reason and will like a man.
                God elevates man's knowing and
                loving capacity in baptism to
share in God's loving and knowing
                acts. Man must cooperate
                with God to perform supernatural
acts – God infuses these gifts
on our soul. We can be
                raised to such heights with
                God's grace infused in our
                soul.

                    Everything we do that is
in this, is a gift of God's grace
                working in us –

                    We must seek to always
remain in the state of grace –
                not commit mortal sins –
keep the soul clean. We don't
                want to lose God's grace.
We seek to increase our grace.
God is all goodness. We should
                perform good actions to be
                like God!

We see the beatific vision –
We prepare here for life - eternal
                in heaven.

                R. Blue Book 15 Pray for this

                    Life

The Mass is the Sacrifice of Calvary
                    sacramentally made
                    present –

                Today's Readings

Genesis 32: 23-33

That same night he got up and, taking his two wives, his two slave-girls and his eleven children, crossed the ford of the Jabbok. After he had taken them across the stream, he sent all his possessions over too. And Jacob was left alone.

Then someone wrestled with him until daybreak who, seeing that he could not master him, struck him on the hip socket, and Jacob's hip was dislocated as he wrestled with him. He said, "Let me go, for day is breaking." Jacob replied, "I will not let you go unless you bless me." The other said, "What is your name?" "Jacob," he replied. He said, "No longer are you to be called Jacob,  but Israel since you have shown your strength against God and men and have prevailed." Then Jacob asked, "Please tell me your name." He replied, "Why do you ask my name?" With that, he blessed him there.

Jacob named the place Peniel, "Because I have seen God face to face," he said, "and have survived." The sun rose as he passed Peniel, limping from his hip. That is why to this day the Israelites do not eat the thigh sinew which is at the hip socket: because he had struck Jacob at the hip socket on the thigh sinew.

Psalm 17: 1-3, 6-8, 15

Prayer Of David

Listen, Yahweh, to an upright cause,
    pay attention to my cry,
lend an ear to my prayer,
    my lips free from deceit.

From your presence will issue my vindication,
your eyes fixed on what is right.

You probe my heart, examine me at night,
you test me by fire and find no evil.
I have not sinned with my mouth as most people do.

I call upon you, God, for you answer me;
turn your ear to me, hear what I say.
Show the evidence of your faithful love,
savior of those who hope in your strength against attack.

Guard me as the pupil of an eye,
shelter me in the shadow of your wings

But I in my uprightness will see your face,
and when I awake I shall be filled with the vision of you.

Matthew 9: 32-38

They had only just left when suddenly a man was brought to him, a dumb demoniac. And when the devil was driven out, the dumb man spoke and the people were amazed and said, ‘Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.’ But the Pharisees said, ‘It is through the prince of devils that he drives out devils.’

Jesus made a tour through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and all kinds of illness.

And when he saw the crowds he felt sorry for them because they were harassed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is rich but the labourers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers to his harvest.’

                R. Jesus cured the people possessed with demons.

We see Jesus healing and teaching and yet for most
of 30 years we do not hear much of Jesus'
                    life.

Jesus lived a quiet life with Mary and with
Joseph. We see our lives are lived, many
times in quiet, doing tasks that bring us
joy and suffering. God wants whatever we
do to be good actions, done according
to the Father's will, done in love.

We never want to sin mortally, but pray to
God for the grace to be holy and to
be ready to go to confession and confess our sins.

What has God called us to do today and do it with
enthusiasm and love. Do it united to those
He called us to work with. Obey just authority
                    over us.

The devil wants people to be independent –
we see the independence of Eve in the
garden – learning to work with others
is what we are to do – not try to be
independent, but united to the people
God has called us to serve –
Be in one mind and one heart –

Jesus always taught us to say before we speak
"I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with you in love."

                    I added yesterday

"Holy Spirit help us to serve God in one heart."

We have not been saying this and division,
                    confusion becomes a struggle.

Tonight we will watch the Bible Movie
                    Jacob

Given June 23, 2015

R. Dear Jesus, I offer You all I do today.

Soon the dark night will pass and the light of day like a person opening up the store for a new day, the dark of night will peel away and the morning light will come.

Jesus You are always there - at every moment, with me, to be with me in the day - I am not alone.
Today is the day You have made and when I go to bed tonight I can never live this day again.

The opportunities You bring, to do Your work today, are before me.
Help me to serve You and to let You operate me to do Your holy work.

Come Lord, fill me now with Your life in me.
Holy Spirit sanctify me, dwell in me, enlighten me, help me to be docile to Your touch, Please bless the work of my hands today.

Fear is a big way the devil tries to block what God wants us to do this day.
We can fear all kinds of things.
We can fear health, we can fear acceptance, we can fear we will be made fun of, we can fear nobody will hear us,
we can fear we are too tired or we can fear we are too fat or thin, we can fear that we won't have what we need, we can fear others will not accept us, we can fear...

Isn't that the way the media works to try to get us to give in.

Jesus, I give You myself to use for Your day today operating in me, I want to serve You, Come and dwell in me now.

Come Holy Spirit help me to be an empty vessel ready to be filled.

Mary, my mother, walk by my side.

Mary, my Mother, I come to dwell in your Immaculate Heart - take me to the Heart of Jesus.

Come to me Lord and possess my soul.

I offer everything I do all day united to the Mass.
I offer all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings to You Lord, united to the Mass for the building of the Kingdom of God, for the priest, the Church and the world.
I offer my day for my private intentions, I offer my day for my family and the Shepherds of Christ members and needs.

Come to me Lord and possess my soul.

Sing: Come Holy Ghost

Sing: Come to me Lord and Possess my Soul

I love you God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - come dwell in me now.

I adore You, I worship You, I love You, I thank You, God. Amen.

I surrender God in love to do Your will today.
Help me to love.
Dear Heavenly Father help me to see through your eyes.

Guardian Angel

"Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen."

                R. Man offers himself interiorly to God in the Mass.
He gives himself – it is offered to God so we
die to our selfish self and we will live
                the life of resurrection –

God the Father accepts the sacrifice of Jesus, His Son.
We unite our sacrifice to Jesus.
We adore God and recognize we are under Him –
our lives are in total submission
                    under Him.

We are to unite all we do as a sacrifice –
all day in total submission to the Father's
                    will –
We see ourselves as bowing to God,
giving ourselves to God – in every act –
An emptying of self to love and serve Him –
                    We interiorly empty ourselves –

A promise or vow of a religious of
                    poverty, chastity and obedience is
                    a way religious worship God.

A vow is a promise that a person
sees that he is held to.
Fr. Carter was so serious about his
                        vows –
It comes from a heart of love of
a religious to offer oneself to God because
                    of their marriage to God.

In religious these vows are under a
superior they obey in the consecrated
                    life.
It is showing God – they bind themselves
in this promise because they love
Him so very much. It is a
                        Covenant so to speak between
                        the religious and God –

It is so serious the Franciscans wear
a rope signifying poverty, chastity and
obedience by 3 knots, they display
                always before others.

Superiors ask for that which is to
help serve God and spread the Kingdom of God –
to help the person grow to be holy –
more and more in the image of God –

                From the Our Father
"... Thy will be done on earth
                        as it is in heaven"

A man of religion wants to worship
God. He wants to pray and sing
to God. His life is a life of love and service
given to his spouse, Jesus, so
a religious should want to pray
and sing openly to worship God, they love.
God wants this open worship –

Singing songs in great honor given
to God – honor of outpouring
                    to Him praise and
the gift of self in their marriage
                    to God –

Love is in the heart of the religious who
gives themselves as a gift to God –

Prayer and Singing, Praise and honor
is what God deserves – especially
                    from religious in community –
in Church – in worship – in
                    dependent surrender to God –

Man can worship himself before God –
Man can close his heart in
                    independence before God and
                    give bad example instead of
                    giving God what He deserves.

When the Eucharist is exposed it is very
powerful for a community to join
and sing songs to God and to
                    pray united together – especially
when the world is so focused on
their independence and fan fare –

God calls us on Sundays to spend this
                    Day worshipping and showing
worship before others to Him –
God wants love, praise, worship given
                    in loving surrender from those
who profess they are religious and
                    married to Jesus –

A person can show bad example before
Jesus, before others – when prayer
is called to honor Him –
how they openly rebel against it.
This drags down the whole Church
when a person sees that they
                    can't show any reverence
and worship to God – like He
                    isn't even there –

The person puts themselves before God –
a person can put another person
before God even during a worship
                    at Church.

The devil does not want any praise and love
shown ever to Jesus Christ in
                    the Exposed Eucharist –
The devil hates – he doesn't love –
The devil wants to block song and
                        prayers in community before God.

God wants the interior disposition of the
                    person taking vows and promises
to empty themselves and give great
                    love through prayer and song
                    to God –
to be a witness before others –
It is a paradox to wear a habit
and to go and be angry before
                        the Blessed Sacrament.

God wants to be loved and adored by man
and He is truly present in His
Divinity and humanity in the Eucharist

                God loves man –

God deserves honor and adoration and
                    praise.

God deserves our time to sing and pray
together in prayer and love –
our retreats are just this –

It is awful for one to show others
                    disrespect before God – truly
                    present in the Blessed Sacrament
when one is to be a witness and leader
of love and adoration to God.

                Who is our god –
                When we worship ourselves
                When we worship other people
When we worship sports, things –

God has called us to honor Him and keep
                    holy the Sabbath Day –
It is about Him – praying to Him –
going to Mass – loving Him –

The devil wants to stop love and devotion given
                    to God.

When we know and love God more and more
deeply – filled us with His grace
we do not give into satan –

The religious man wears a habit so he
can be the voice of what God wants
                    to the world.

God is to be honored and praised – A person
acting out of step – tries to disrupt,
confuse – tear apart the honor that is
being given to God. Worship shows
honor and love to God, order –

God is above – we are below –
                    God loves community prayer
                        in songs and praise before
                        Him –
His 8 days of prayer are for
                        this –
Dear God help us to put God
                        on the throne and not
                        give into the bad example
                        of others working against
                        love for God –

                Why would we unjustly offend
                    God if we recognized that
in prayer – we empty ourselves
before God, we lift our heart
                    to God –

Matthew 18: 19-20

'In truth I tell you once again, if two of you on earth agree to ask anything at all, it will be granted to you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three meet in my name, I am there among them.'

                R. Being right in relationships –
the order is God deserves worship and
                        praise
                    God deserves our respect –
                    God deserves love
God tells us to keep holy the Sabbath
                        Day –
                        It is God's day –

How grave is the way we show disrespect
                    before the tabernacle –

                God wants love –
                God wants honor –
                God wants respect –
God wants prayer and singing –
                    we give Him ourselves –
                    under Him –
                    empty ourselves in love –

God wants adoration chapels around the world
