Sorrowful Mysteries

Agony In the Garden

l. R. Let us place ourselves in the presence of the Almighty God. Think of Jesus, see His brown hair, His body clothed in a tunic and see Him walking on a sunlit day. Focus as if you were there and how it would feel to be this close to Jesus and walking next to Him. You are there at this time with Jesus and you are right next to Him. You can speak and He will hear you and He will speak to you. Does your heart burn to be so close to the Almighty God? Jesus is in this room, no less present than He was the day that He walked this earth. The Almighty God, the Son of God, is in this room and in the Holy Eucharist and He is crying out to us to unite in such oneness with Him, to be so close that He dwells within our hearts in such oneness as the bridegroom of our soul. Jesus wants this close union with us at all times. Let us surrender at this moment and during the mysteries of this rosary and ask Him for grace to help us join closer and closer in our union with Him, to know more and more the burning fire of His love.

l. R. Be with Jesus in the garden. Kneel beside Him. He asked the apostles to come and to watch with Him and they slept. Let us comfort His aching heart in such pain for all the souls that would reject Him and neglect Him and treat Him with such indifference - the souls from all time. He suffered in the garden such agonies to His Heart for His beloved souls that He loved so dearly and would treat Him with hatred and indifference and ingratitude.

2. R. Focus on the Heart of Jesus as we see the heart on the Sacred Heart picture, as we see Jesus on so many pictures, with His hands on both sides of His Heart, always showing us His Heart. His Heart is a burning furnace of love. He wants us to see His Heart, adorned in yellow, burning with such heat and love for us.

3. R. Are not our hearts burning within us as we think that the Almighty God so loved His creatures that He took on a human body and came into this world conceived in the womb of the Virgin Mary, a human person! Who are we that God loves His creatures so much He took on a human nature?

4. R. We endlessly search, day after day, for something to feed our starved souls when nothing on the face of this earth will feed our souls but only God can feed our soul. Jesus calls out constantly and is telling us, “I am here, and I am with you minute by minute, second by second, with a Heart that is filled with burning love, outpouring this love to you, My beloved ones. How I love you. I am so glad that you have come to be with Me in this room. I am longing and thirsting to unite deeper and deeper with you. Open wide your hearts. Release yourselves of any walls that surround your heart. Let go. Focus on My burning heart of love. I give to you this love, I dwell within you in a special way when you are in the state of grace. Do you feel My presence in this room? I am truly present in the consecrated host, no less present than the day that I walked this earth? Do you know that I come to you, My beloved ones, with My Heart burning and on fire? Open wide your heart. Let My love penetrate your starved soul.”

5. Song: I come to you with greatest love

6. R. Jesus, Jesus, the Almighty God! Can we ever realize a little bit that the Almighty God is in this room with us, truly present, in the Eucharist?

7. R. We run after such foolish things and God waits, day after day after day in the tabernacle for His beloved souls to come and to visit Him and to be with Him. He said to the apostles, “can you not wait one hour with Me?" Can we not come this day and spend some of our busy day with the Almighty God, truly present, waiting and longing to be ever closer to us?

8. R. You do not realize the great gifts that we are given, that God is here and waiting to share a love relationship with us!

9. Jesus: When the messages of My love are transmitted among the members of My church, the bloodshed will stop. I am calling out to you to come closer and closer to My Heart. As you unite in this oneness with Me, I will operate through you and minister to this world that is suffering and in pain. The most important thing you can do, My beloved ones, is to unite to Me.

l0. R. In the Mass we hear, “Through Him, With Him and In Him.” Let us pray for the grace to unite deeper and deeper in our union with Him for to unite with Him is to have all that we need.

Scourging At the Pillar

Song: I Love You Jesus

l. R. Come Holy Spirit, come into our hearts and fill us with the fire of God’s love. Transform us more and more in the heart of Mary into the image and likeness of Jesus.

2. R. We see our beloved Jesus as He stood at the pillar, tied, His hands tied and they beat Him, they tore His flesh with harsh instruments!

3. Jesus: My dear ones, I am asking you to meditate on the Passion. It is in meditating on My Passion that you will know more and more the immensity of My love. You must learn to go to the inner sanctuaries of My Heart and dwell there, through the heart of My Mother. Enter into My Heart through My pierced side, into the inner chambers of My Heart, into a room where you are secure and warm. I am waiting to caress you and hold you within My Heart. You will be protected from all of the storms that surround you for I am the Almighty God. I have all the power. I take you to My Heart and if the wind blows and the stars cease to shine you will find refuge in the inner chambers of My Sacred Heart.

4. R. Jesus stood at the pillar and He was beaten by those men that He loved, but His greatest agonies were the agonies to His Heart. Jesus was buckled over in pain from those who rejected Him and treated Him with such violence and such hatred.

5. R. How did the martyrs suffer martyrdom? Some were sawed in half, some were beaten, many were murdered. How did they suffer this martyrdom? They knew, within, the burning love of God, Jesus is giving to us great graces to join in deepest union with Him to know Him in the inner sanctuaries of His Heart. He is calling us to unite in such oneness that if even the stars would cease to shine and if the sun would fall from the sky, we would know the presence of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit within our hearts and our hearts would burn for love of God for we would know that God is all powerful and almighty and He lives!! He lives within us in a special way when we are in the state of grace. I see Jesus, bound and whipped at the pillar, but His eyes are gentle and loving. His face is full of love, love for the men that beat Him. This is the love that He wants in our hearts, love for those that persecute us, love for all men as He loved those that tore His flesh.

6. R. How do we do this? How do we love as He wants us to love? At every Mass, pray more and more for the grace to unite in deepest union with Him, to be healed of any hatred or anger, and to unite with Him in deepest love in the Holy Eucharist. For Jesus is love, to know Jesus intimately, is to have love in our hearts. We cannot hate and love at the same time.

7. R. Jesus stood at the pillar and they tore Jesus' flesh. Jesus was covered with blood and wounds and He loved those who beat Him!

8. Jesus: Unless the messages of My love are transmitted among the members of My Church the bloodshed will continue. I call you to unite with me in deepest union. Come to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and unite with Me in this sacrifice to the Father. Offer yourselves to the Father and unite in deepest union with Me when you receive the Holy Eucharist.

9. R. How is it that God loves us so much that He unites with us - the Divine God wants to be one with us, a human person! Jesus gives Himself to us in such union in the Holy Eucharist! It is in this union that we are filled with His immense love.

l0.  Hail Mary

Crowning With Thorns

R. Each one of us, was uniquely created by the Father and is so important to God's plan, each one of us, is so loved by Him. Let us pray for the grace to realize more and more the immense love that God has for us.

l. R. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwell within our graced, baptized soul. God wants us to be witnesses of love to others. Let us pray for the grace to realize the immensity of God’s love for us, for Jesus says, “unless the messages of His love are transmitted in the members of His Church, the bloodshed will continue.” It is in becoming one with Him and being filled with Jesus' love that we will be loving witnesses to others in the world.

2. R. How important we are to the plan of the Father! See Jesus with His head crowned with thorns and the men spitting on Him and hollering at Him, yet He withstood all of this treatment for He loved us to His death. He loved us!

3. Jesus: I am alive, I am alive, I am alive, and I am in this room with you at this moment. I call from the tabernacle to you, My beloved ones. I want such union with you. Come to Me and let Me bathe you in My love. I long and thirst to be so close to you. You will be pressed on day after day by the evil one. It is only in realizing My love that you will be a channel and carry this love to others.

Satan is very strong. He is pressing down on you, My faithful ones, for He wants souls for hell. I am Jesus. I am calling you to come and unite ever closer to My Heart for you will be the light shinning in the dark world, filled with My love. You will radiate this love to those that are suffering. Satan is running rampant at this time. He is causing much confusion and doubt in your lives. You must come to My Heart, through My pierced side. Come into the inner sanctuary of My Heart and I will bathe you with My burning love.

4. Song: I Love You Jesus

5. R. We go about our lives everyday and we live the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus in our lives.

6. Jesus: Who will I call if you do not answer? I am calling you. You will be pressed on. You will be tried. You are My beloved ones. I am calling out to you to be strong, to come to the Eucharist, to come and beg for the grace to be strengthened by My grace in you. I am giving to you abundant graces to grow deeper and deeper in your union with Me. I am Jesus, your beloved Savior. Many souls will be lost. I am calling out to you to unite and to help in the salvation of souls.

7. R. Jesus sat on a mock throne and He was crowned, with a piercing crown of thorns. Jesus' face was covered with blood. Jesus' garment covered His body, His garment covered the open wounds. He did not answer back. He did not call out. He was silent. He accepted the treatment and loved those that persecuted Him. He came to show us the way to live. He walked the earth. He suffered. He died. He rose and ascended into heaven. Jesus wants to dwell in us this day. Live in our hearts. He wants us to live His life, death and resurrection in our lives.

8. R. We struggle and we struggle.  In the deepest struggles, we experience deeper and deeper life in Him.

9. R. It is in handling the ordinary little problems that are sometimes the hardest to handle. Handle them with love and patience and ask the Holy Spirit to help us to be more and more like Jesus. Telling Him we are sorry when we realize how far we are from being like Him.

l0. Hail Mary...

Jesus Carries His Cross

R. They stood around Jesus with their angry faces and the hatred in their eyes. Picture yourself there and look at the faces of the men that are poking at Jesus and look at the face of Jesus filled with peace, and love. The faces of the men poking at Jesus were filled with hatred, anger and condemnation. He came to show us the way. Jesus came to show us the way that He wants our faces to look.

l. R. Jesus accepted the cross that they gave to Him. They put the cross on His back. It was so heavy Jesus scarce could walk but He accepted the cross and went His way. Jesus came to show us the way. Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem, in such poverty, rejected by men at birth. He carried His cross on His back to His death on Calvary.

2. R. Jesus shows us how He died on the cross and He rose on the third day. Jesus shows us that the way to follow Him is to take up our cross and follow Him. In the cross there is the resurrection if we follow Him. In Him is life. Let us walk this way through this mystery of the rosary and realize that, with all the crosses we can follow Jesus, and we can obey God's will.

3. R. In Jesus is the victory! Death/Resurrection. Follow Jesus, die to those ways not like Him - rise to new life. On the third day He rose victorious, adorned in white, His wounds glistening. We, too, carry our crosses but if we endure the suffering, and follow Jesus we can have new life.

4. R. Mary walked beside Jesus. Mary is His beloved Mother. As Mary walked and looked into His face, Mary saw the Son that she loved so dearly. Mary carried the secret in her heart, from the prophesy of Simeon, knowing that sufferings would come, knowing all through her Son's life that He would suffer and now Mary saw her Son, Jesus, covered with blood, Jesus' head was crowned with thorns, Jesus' body was torn, with the cross on His back and Mary watched Him fall, with His chin to the ground. Mary carried this in her heart for 33 years, knowing sufferings would come. Mary suffered by Jesus' side.

5. R. How the heart of Mary knows the Heart of Jesus. How pure and loving is Mary's heart! She is His beloved Mother of love. Mary loved her Son with the deepest love. It is in uniting to Mary's heart that we will love Jesus more deeply. Let us ask Mary to carry us deeper and deeper into the inner recesses of this burning Heart of love.

6. R. We could look into Jesus' eyes if we could see His beautiful eyes. We could see the most magnificent burning eyes of love. Let us go to the inner recesses of His Heart and ask Him to help us to experience more and more His burning love, to unite in deeper, deeper union with Jesus to be so one in Him. Such joy to unite with Him in the Holy Eucharist, to have this presence of God in our heart. Are not our hearts burning within us that God loves us so much that He carried the cross and gave Himself on a hill at Calvary?

7. R. We see so many times how we are stripped of things that are so important to us. Even words that people say to us, hurt us, abuse us, others can be very cruel to us. We see Jesus as they tore off His clothes and they treated Him with such cruelty and they pushed Him!

8. R. It is in joining deeper and deeper in the Heart of Jesus that we will have peace and joy in our hearts. The winds may blow and the stars may cease to shine but we will know His burning love within us.

9. R. I see Him so many times with His chin on the ground and the cross on His back and I look into His beautiful eyes, the eyes of such love and no matter what is going on - to see Jesus, the Almighty God, strung out on the ground, the cross on His back, gives us strength.

l0. Sing: A Song from Jesus

Jesus is Crucified and Dies on the Cross

R. Think of Jesus with His hands outstretched. They pulled His arms so tightly and they stretched His body and nailed His hands and His feet to the cross.

l. R. How was it for Jesus to know that they lifted the hammer and that they would come down and pound the nails into His hand?

2. R. How is it for us that He cries out this day from the tabernacle that He loves us so much but we are so blind that we do not realize that He gave Himself for love of us, that the Son of God came to this earth, incarnate, in the womb of the Virgin Mary, that He lived in a human body on this earth and that He gave His life because He loved us so much.

3. R. Stand with Mary under the cross as she looks up and she sees her beloved Son. A constant aching in her heart, Mary knew Jesus would suffer from the prophesy of Simeon. Mary stood beneath the cross and Mary saw her Son covered with blood and crowned with thorns. In her heart Mary knew souls that would suffer despite Jesus' sufferings. Jesus suffered for all men. Jesus is our Savior. Many men would throw away the gift Jesus wanted to give them. Some men even go to hell despite what Jesus did.

4. R. We do not need deep theology to understand the love of God. It is clear. If we look at the crucifix we see that Jesus so loved man that He came to this earth and He allowed Himself to be crucified and He died willingly that we would be saved. The crucifix is such a friend - to look at the crucified body of Christ as He hung on the cross, to look at the hands and to realize that the nails went all the way through, to see His head crowned with thorns, and to see that God loves us so much that He gave Himself! Jesus gave His last breath and the last beat of His Heart that we would be saved, that we would be with Him forever and ever in heaven.

5. R. Let us focus on the wounds of Christ. Look at the depth of the wounds in His hands from the nails. The suffering within the body, all the pain, carried within His body. We see on the outside of His body the wounds, but the pain within!

The Church this day is suffering within. The messages of His love are not being transmitted as they need to be among the members of the Church. We are to love as members of the body of Christ. God is love!! Mary appears and she calls out to spread the love of her Son, especially to the children. Many little children are not even being taught about the love of Jesus, they are being taught many vile and cruel and ugly and horrible things in this world today, but they are not being told about Jesus and how He loves them. We were created to know, love and serve God. To mention the word of God is scoffed at by many today, imagine that! To mention such vile things and such poison on television and the movies is accepted, but to talk dishonorably about God how offending to a good God. Mary appears and she asks us to pray, pray, pray for the children. We must contact the children. We must tell the children how Jesus and she loves them. We must tell the children about the Eucharist and teach children to pray the rosary.

Mary is calling out so strongly every day and this week I understood the deep sufferings that Mary suffered. Mary says we must reach the children. Mary is begging us to reach the children. Mary stood beneath the cross. Mary is the Mother of Jesus. Mary stood beneath the cross and she saw her Son covered with blood and wounds and she knew in her heart all that would be lost this day. Mary has said many children are going to hell. Children, her beloved children, that are in sin and use drugs etc. Mary is calling out to reach the children. Let us pray fervently that we carry the message of God’s love to this world, especially to children, for the children are being taught daily so many ugly things in this world, but where do they go if they have not been told about the love of God? We have been called by Mary to reach them.

6. R. Let us beg the Father, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, in the Holy Spirit, to give us abundant graces, to unite ever deeper to the Almighty God, to know more and more, every moment of our lives, the great gifts that we are given from the Almighty God, to know the Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwell in our graced baptized soul. Pray to know the immense love of God.

7. R. Jesus called out once when I was meditating on the crucifixion that He gave Himself for us, what more do we want? That He gives Himself to us this day! We do not treasure the great gift that we are given, how He is treated with such indifference and ingratitude by those who receive Him in the Holy Eucharist and run from the church and He calls out -  “tell them, tell them, that the Almighty God gives Himself to them and how He longs for us to visit and spend those precious moments after Communion with Him, when He gives us infinite knowledge of Himself!

8. R. I hear Him call out when the priest raises the host:  “This is My Body, This is My Blood.” This is what He gives to us. Jesus gives us Himself in the Eucharist. Jesus gives us His Body and His Blood. Lord, give us the grace to unite ever closer to You and to realize this most precious gift that we are given in the Eucharist.

9. R. Mary stood beneath the cross and Mary looked at the lifeless body of her Son - Mary held Him in her arms. The wounds in His side, the wounds in His hands and feet - His head punctured by the thorns! Jesus complied always to the Will of the Father. Jesus died on the cross for us. It is in the death there is the resurrection. Death has no power over Jesus! We must stay rooted in Him. Pray for a greater sharing in His life.

l0. Song: I Love You Jesus

Jesus: If the messages of My love are not transmitted among the members of My Church, the bloodshed will continue. I call you, My dear ones, to come and to unite in deeper union with Me. I am pouring out My abundant graces to you for I long and thirst to be so close to you. It is in this union that I will minister to this hurting world. I am Jesus and you have been called here by My Mother. It is through her heart that you will be placed deeper and deeper in the inner recesses of My Heart and know more and more My burning love for you.

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

Jesus said I want all involved in the Shepherds of Christ Movement to be involved in life in the Spirit Seminars.

R. We need to begin our Shepherds of Christ meetings with a song. We could sing "Come Holy Ghost," "Immaculate Mary," "To Jesus' Heart All Burning." Singing opens the heart. We, in the Shepherds of Christ Movement, should enroll in a "Life in the Spirit" seminar.

Jesus: Children need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Meetings can begin with Come Holy Ghost, Immaculate Mary, Hail Holy Queen and To Jesus Heart All Burning. All can sing softly without music.

Prayer is the lifting up of the mind and heart to God. Prayer and singing should be done devoutly, with gentleness and love. Songs should be love songs to Jesus.

Your hearts should join in one heart with My Heart. Your heart is to be in this oneness with My Heart and My Mother's heart and all others present. Your voice joins with the saints and angels in praising God. You are to be one in Our Hearts.

To focus on yourself is to break the harmony. Your focus must be on God. I am Jesus. Satan is pressing down and dividing many workers. He is talking in your heads.

I want you, Rita, to compile messages that will cover Life in the Spirit booklets.

Many children will be filled with the fire of God's love from the work you will do here.

A small booklet can be compiled with these messages and you can instruct others to carry out a 7 week program.

I am calling you to join this Life in the Spirit Seminars to the Shepherds of Christ Movement. I am calling you to compile the messages given in God's Blue Book and the Rosaries in a 7 week program of Prayer and Praise, that will include the Baptism in the Spirit.

The little booklets formed can be similar to those used at the Consecration of Homes and Business.

The members in the Shepherds of Christ Movement need to daily consecrate their hearts to the Sacred Heart, the Immaculate Heart and the Holy Spirit.

It is important before every prayer session that they pray the prayer to the Holy Spirit found in the handbook.

HE LOVES US IN OUR WEAKNESS

R. If we understand the great dignity and honor that God raised Mary, then we understand more about our relationship to Him.

To deny the importance of the connection between Mary and God is to miss an immense link between man and God. I recognize the betrothal of Mary to the Holy Spirit, that He is the Spouse of Mary - this intimate relationship between a Divine Person and a human person.

I see the intimacy between myself and Jesus. He wants to be our beloved Lover. He wants an espousal relation with us. In knowing that Mary is espoused to the Holy Spirit, it helps me to unite deeper in my union with the Divine Person, Jesus Christ.

In realizing that He (God) unites to me, I want to be so pure. I see my sins and my weaknesses, I must pray to the Holy Spirit to sanctify me. At the Consecration of the Mass, I die to myself and beg God to make me more like Jesus and Mary. It is in dwelling in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, I am made holy. The Holy Spirit works in the heart of Mary to make me more like Jesus. Jesus was formed in the womb of His Mother through the Holy Spirit. I am formed more into the image and likeness of Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, in the womb of Mary.

I see more and more how truly weak I am, and I need His grace. I need the Holy Spirit to make me holy. When left alone, I am tempted and fall into behavior that is not like Jesus. I absolutely am so dependent on Him!

It is only in Him that I am made holy, only in Him that I am strengthened. I am selfish and lack humility. It is only with His grace that I act selflessly and with virtue. He came and He rescued me from my sins and made me whole. I have a fallen, human nature. I am weak. I am self-centered and tend toward darkness many times. His way is light. His way is love. His way is peace. His way is the way.

Many times I do not recognize the great love I am given from God. I do not see the great gifts given. I do not give thanks to God for His great gifts.

I have so much to learn. In all my weaknesses and faults, He still loves me.

At the Consecration of the Mass, I offer up myself as a sacrifice with Jesus to the Father and pray He accepts my sacrifice freely given for reparation for my sins and the sins of others. I offer my entire self. We must give all of ourselves to Him.

I want to help make reparation for my sins and the sins of others to the Heart of Jesus, so greatly offended by the ingratitude of men.

I want to make reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for the blasphemies against her heart.

JOIN IN THEIR HEARTS AND TO EACH OTHER

R. I see the intimacy between Jesus and Mary and how He wants intimacy between each one of us. The joining of Their Hearts is the model for our hearts, joining to Him and to Mary and to each other.

I understand my relationship with God and with my brothers by further understanding the relationship between Jesus and Mary (the rosary helps us). I give my heart to Jesus and Mary, you give your heart to Jesus and Mary, and we are one in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Christ says:

But I say this to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you; so that you may be children of your Father in heaven, for he causes his sun to rise on the bad as well as the good, and sends down rain to fall on the upright and the wicked alike. For if you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even the tax collectors do as much? (Mt. 5:44-46)

Hatred of God is the worst - hatred against neighbor follows.

Heaven and Earth meet in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

The new Adam, the new Eve, Adam and Eve sinned, Jesus comes and saves us from our sins. Eve the Mother of the living, Mary our spiritual Mother.

Mary (Father said is Queen of Apostles) she is above in the mysteries (Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles).

She is above — Glorious mysteries.

We are body and soul.

THERE IS JOY IN SUFFERING

R. Last year on October 21, I saw Jesus. His hands on each side of His Heart. It was such an experience. The statue in the front of Holy Cross-Immaculata Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart looked alive and illuminated - surrounded by a mist. I opened my book to a message of Mary I received July 4th in Holy Cross-Immaculata telling me to pray the stations.

Mary: I wept outside the tomb of my beloved Son for the children in your world today. Little children being murdered, little children being taught vileness and sex at such an early age. The slaughter of my Son, the slaughter of the innocent today. Pray my beloved ones, meditate on the sufferings of my Son in the stations here. As you meditate on His passion and death your hearts will deepen in such love with Him. You must pray come to our hearts and find strength to continue your battle against the evil world. You are my apostles I send into the world armed with hearts of love. Harken to my call, for many of the little ones will lose their souls. What you do with your life will make such a difference in the salvation of many souls.

I am Mary your Mother, I am giving you my Motherly protection and love. Thank you for responding to this request.

R. I prayed in front of the tabernacle for the grace I needed most and was led to beg the Father that we could have retreats in Immaculata for priests and nuns, pray the rosary here and people could be out on the steps and hear what they say.

Jesus: Pray the stations here. Immaculata is the Center for the Shepherds of Christ Movement.

R. I wish we could have our meeting here and pray in front of the Lourdes grotto. Mary wants to come on a hill. I see immense joy of her under the cross, saw this all morning for souls that would be saved by His blood. I receive so much under the cross.

At the Mass of the Virgin, the readings talked about Eve and how she was tricked by the serpent. Then at the Psalm: Mary was filled with the Holy Spirit and cried out the Magnificat. Then at the Gospel: Mary was under the cross. Jesus gave us His Mother under the cross. Mary is the New Eve, Jesus is the New Adam.

"…My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord" (Lk. 1:46)

See Jesus on the cross and John below. This same sacrifice is sacramentally made present in the Mass. The heart of Mary has joy and pain. There is joy in immense suffering. Mary saw her Son die. Mary saw Him covered with blood. She screams out in the suffering. I understand some of the mystery. There is joy in sufferings. Mary's heart was torn within her to watch her Son die, but she knew of all who would be saved by His blood.

In the sufferings, a mystical experience, I experience, there is great joy. I understand in the suffering deeper insight into the hidden mysteries.

Jesus says: I AM ALIVE, I AM ALIVE.

R. There is such joy in sufferings, the level of intensity of understanding is so many faceted. Mary under the cross, she sees her Son covered with Blood, she knows her children that will die, she knows those that would be saved. In horror she cries out, in joy she weeps her tears for her children that will be saved. The sufferings of the Heart are indeed many faceted. Some day our bodies too, will be glorified, as Christ's body, in the resurrection. I see so much all through mysteries of rosary. Heaven and earth meet in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Jesus comes and saves us from our sins. Eve is the mother of the living; Mary is our spiritual Mother!

When I look at the rosary windows at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, I see Mary above the Apostles when the Holy Spirit descends upon them. She is the Queen of the Apostles. We are called Apostles today to spread the devotion of the two Hearts. We must go to our Mother Mary for help.

A quote explains this well:

As no other creature does, man's nature embraces a spiritual element as well as a physical one. Made up of spirit and body, we are at one and the same time immortal and mortal. We are the lowest of the spiritual creatures and the highest of the physical creatures. Through the goodness of God, we can also participate in the divine life of the Creator. When this participation occurs, the soul becomes Christ-like, the Holy Spirit dwells within the soul. Man then becomes truly the image and likeness of God.39

Notes: He wants us to be happy. We crave God, we cannot be attached to any person, place, or thing. We must live all things according to His will.

God is our Source. God is our goal.

What will make us happy is to know and love God. God so loved the world, He gave His only Son. Adam sinned, God provided a Redeemer. He kept His promise while He prepared men.

God gave His Son, incarnate in the womb of the Blessed Mother, this is His great gift to us. Jesus came to show us how to live and love. He left a perfect Sacrifice to offer to God - in which He is Victim and Priest - He left His Body and His Blood!

The Holy Spirit works in the Church today, continuing the Incarnation in the Church, and in us.

St. Augustine says: "The kingdom of heaven, O man, requires no other price than thyself, the value of it is thyself; give thyself to it and thou shalt have it."40 "…the most exquisite happiness consists in praising, adoring, loving, and being loved in return by a Being who is so great and good."41

Love is emptying of self. I must empty myself and make room for Him.

I must love God and love all His creatures as He commands me to do.

THE MASS

R. At Mass today, I had such a love for the Church today after Communion - I was in tears, loving the Church so much.

At Mass at All Saints; I received a terrific blessing. I experienced His immense presence. I was in a deep state of peace and ecstasy.

Jesus: From now on you will have my constant presence.

R. On October 22nd, I went to All Saints -  7:35am. I cried for 45 minutes, cried to be there — I love Jesus so much — Such peace.

I had such pains in my left hand — pains in my arm. Pains like His hand and arm hanging on the cross.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

Jesus: Pray with the heart, pray in one heart.

Sing: "Come Holy Ghost"

R. We must pray with the heart, pray in one heart - Sing "Come Holy Ghost".

The Holy Spirit is the love of the Father and the Son.

The Holy Spirit is the gift - God's gift to us.

He is the dispenser of every grace.

The Holy Spirit is a Paraclete and advocate. He is our Helper, Counselor, Consoler, Comforter, Guide, and Friend.

"…the Fathers of the Church liken the Holy Ghost to an artist who works to bring out the full beauty of God's image on the canvas of the individual soul by the brush-strokes of grace."42

Christ is the Head of the Mystical Body.

We are given the Holy Spirit at Baptism and increasingly so at Confirmation. He is present in a special way in a soul in sanctifying grace.

The Apostles saw all the miracles performed by Christ, but they wanted the first seats. They were changed when the Holy Spirit descended on them in the upper room.

Peter told Jesus he would be with Him, yet he denied Him three times. Jesus is love. Someone didn't obey Jesus, and James and John thought He should bring fire on them. Jesus said He came not to destroy, but to save. Peter, James, and John saw the transfiguration yet they slept in the garden. When they came to apprehend Jesus, the Apostles ran away in fear. After the Resurrection, the Apostles were afraid. They shut themselves off in fear. The Holy Spirit descended upon them, and they were changed from fear to fearlessness. They were new men. Thousands were converted and baptized. The Holy Spirit worked in the Apostles. We must open ourselves to the Spirit and allow Him to work in us. We must let go and let God do the work through us. Spirit, come and work in us.

OUR IMMORTAL SOUL

R. I am composed of body and soul. Let us go within ourselves and focus on our graced soul. Man was created with a mortal body and an immortal soul.

Let me see within myself the great gift I am given, a divine soul. Let me join with God in my spirit, forget all that is pressing on my mind, and experience the presence of the Almighty God within me.

Let me realize more the great gifts given to me. God shares His divine life with me. Let me feel such dignity and honor within myself that I have been created in the image and likeness of God.

Let the Spirit move within me to mold me more and more into a likeness of God. As the Spirit formed Jesus in the womb of Mary, let the Spirit form me in the spiritual womb of my Mother more into the image and likeness of God.

God sent His only Son that I would be saved and share in this life. God took the nature of a man. I can communicate with God. He took on flesh, conceived in the spotless womb of Mary. God enters this world in a mortal body, but death has no power over Him. Jesus showed us that on the third day, even though He was crucified and died, even though He was locked in the tomb for three days, that He rose to new life on the third day!

We, too, have a body that is mortal, that will die and be buried, but our life continues. We have an immortal soul. Our soul will never die.

All through the day, we suffer so many little deaths in our lives, but our strength lies in connecting to our spirit. Death has no power over Jesus. Death has no power over me. My body may be burned, I may be handed over, whipped and scourged, as they did to Jesus, but no one can ever kill my soul. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit live in me. Why do I fret and fume when I realize that the Almighty God lives in me!

I pray to the Spirit to enlighten me to know God. My heart sings for, even when I am pressed on, I feel the burning love of God radiating in my weak body. I pray that I will never offend my God. I love Him so much!

I have, within myself, the Almighty God. That which I crave is the Almighty God. I know this presence within. I possess the true treasure! I pray to the Spirit to help me to realize more and more the Almighty God alive within me.

Sin takes us away from God. My biggest fear is that I lose my God through sin. I pray for the grace to resist temptation to sin. I beg God for grace. I long. I thirst. I want to be saturated with His divine life.

THE PIERCED HEART OF CHRIST

R. I rested my head on the pierced chest of my Savior. I felt His presence and put my head on His pierced wound. I see His chest and wound so clearly experienced in my heart.

His Heart was wounded by the sins of man, I rest on His wound.

Open up the wound and go into His burning Heart. See the wound opening and enter into the great, red abyss of His love. It is in the wound that I enter.

His glorified body has this wound. It is from His pierced Heart that our life flows.

It is in the wounds, I get the life. The glorified wounds of Christ are my delight. He carried the cross. He bore the pain. He was pierced that we would live in Him!

AS I UNITE TO HIM I LOVE OTHERS MORE

R. I saw before me all my sins. I see how I make myself right and others wrong. I see my pride. I see Jesus, I see His gentleness and love, never condemning, always loving. He calls me to have mercy on all others. He calls me to love.

I know how I have offended Our Lord with all my ill thoughts toward my brothers. I do not have to justify my actions to anyone. I must love. Love is self-giving!

I see the bread, and it is changed into His Body. He can change me from my faults to being more and more like Him. He can change bread to His Body and wine to His Blood. He can change me from my faults to being more like Him. I can only change through His grace. I am weak and sinful.

I want to be like Him. It hurts me to know how He suffered especially in the garden and know how I have offended Him with my sins. He gives me such graces, and I am so ungrateful!

I unite in such union with Him in my sacrifice to the Father. I give myself and want to be made holy in this sacrifice. I unite in deepest union with the Almighty God, and I am touched by His love.

I want this transforming union with Him. I cannot think ill thoughts towards anyone. I must pray to the Holy Spirit for the truth. I must pray to the Holy Spirit to love God and neighbor. I must pray for greater grace to know, love, and serve Him. His way is always love. I must strive to always respond in love. Fr. Carter said the more I unite to Him the greater my gifts of charity towards others. The further I am from Him, the less my gifts of charity towards others.

Jesus said to him, "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too." (Mt. 22:37-40)

MY PRECIOUS JESUS

Written after Communion:

R. I cannot contain my emotion to call You, my precious Jesus. I love You with the deepest love. I cannot, in my body, express my love for You. In You, I live, I breathe, I am. In You, I exist and am. Only in You does life have any meaning at all. I scarce can breathe to tell You of my love. There are not words for me to express my love.

Guiding Light — Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light — Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light — The Word Alive in Our Hearts

Audio CD — Read by Father Edward J. Carter
$ 10.00  plus postage

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD.Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #2 — CD. — Suffering: A Source of Life — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. Fr. Carter knew suffering that year. His voice is so powerful as he read each Newsletter from his heart and soul. "Every man has his own share in the redemption. Each one is also called to share in that suffering through which the redemption was accomplished. He is called to share in that suffering through which all human suffering has also been redeemed. In bringing about the redemption through suffering, Christ has also raised human suffering to the level of the redemption. Thus each man in his suffering can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ..." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10

I recommend this book to all who wish to grow in their love for the Lord, who sustains the life of His Church through the precious gift of His Body and Blood.” Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I., Archbishop of Chicago $10
