Prayer for Grace for our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our new president as he takes office. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

               Given September 7, 2017

                R. We cannot control the weather. We need a
big wind where the Holy Spirit comes through and
blows all the rebellion against God away.
We are in Clearwater – CLEARWATER –
waiting and a hurricane is coming close
                soon. CLEAR-WATER. Dear God please
                protect Florida and surrounding areas
from these hurricanes and help people
traveling. Dear God help us to obey your
will and live in unity and in love.
Help us with this Priestly Mailing of Fr. Joe's
new homily book and help priests to start
prayer chapters dedicated to the Sacred
                Heart and Immaculate Heart.
On the night of the 5th we prayed in
Clearwater and Mary appeared to me and
she prayed with us and begged us to listen
to her and spread this message Jesus
gave in God's Blue Book – the Mighty Medicine –

                R. She said she wanted to take people to
the Heart of her Son so they would
love Jesus more and more intimately.
Mary said the strength we need is in loving
God and having Him in an intimate love
                union in our heart.

Jesus told us that satan is really strong
and he wants us to be unloving and lying
to ourselves about our sins. Instead we
need to realize sin hurts relationships
with God and others and we must admit
our sins and ask for forgiveness and
work to be reconciled in our relationships
                with God and others –

God will forgive our sins and have mercy
if we go to Him. We need to prepare our hearts
and be pure and holy – CLEAR-WATER –

We are sinners and we hurt our relationship
with God and others when we sin – so we
need to repair the breach – not deny our sins,
but tell God we are sorry when we sin
and ask for forgiveness and mercy.

On the 5th Mary said souls are going to hell
and we need to reach them with this message –
spread the Blue Books and the prayers Jesus
gave us. We need to listen to her. I saw
streaks coming down from her eyes –

                R. and she told me
it was tears – that nobody is listening
here and we need to stop offending God
and listen to this message. Sin hurts
relationships – To keep denying that we
sin brings guilt – this guilt that is
in the person who sins and doesn't
admit it – covers it up – has consequences.

Bishop Sheen talks about the guilt
of Lady Macbeth because she and
Macbeth plotted and killed the King. They both
had tremendous guilt and she kept washing
her hands from the blood she had illusions
about on the dagger they used – abnormal
                guilt –

Bishop Sheen told of a man who stole
money – who suppressed it and had so
many health problems because of the
guilt – he would not admit for a long
time he stole – he had real guilt from
                stealing.

It is bad for us and has consequences to
deny and cover up sin and guilt, lying to
ourselves when we need to come clean –
ask for forgiveness and mercy from God –
restore our relationships when we deceive
our brothers and lie to them –

Jesus paid the price for our sins. God
came to this earth to show us that we
need reconciliation. Jesus shed His Blood
for our sins. We have the Holy Sacrifice
of the Mass – the Sacrifice of Calvary –
                sacramentally made present.

    From the Priestly Newsletter

Through the Eucharistic Sacrifice Christ the Lord desired to set before us in a very special way this remarkable union whereby we are united one with another and with our divine Head, a union that no word of praise can ever sufficiently express. For in this sacrifice the sacred ministers act not only as the representative of our Saviour, but as the representative of the whole Mystical Body and of each one of the faithful. Again, in this act of sacrifice, the faithful of Christ, united by the common bond of devotion and prayer, offer to the eternal Father through the hands of the priest, whose prayer alone has made it present on the altar, the Immaculate Lamb, the most acceptable victim of praise and propitiation for the Church’s universal need. Moreover, just as the divine Redeemer, while dying on the Cross, offered Himself to the eternal Father as Head of the whole human race, so now, ‘in this clean oblation’ He not only offers Himself as Head of the Church to His heavenly Father but in Himself His mystical members as well. He embraces them all, yes, even the weaker and more ailing members, with the deepest love of His Heart. (Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis AAS, XXXV, 232-233)28

"Without the shedding of blood there is
                no forgiveness of sin"     (Hebrews)

                R. Jesus shed His Blood for our sins!

A Prayer before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

Let me be a holy sacrifice and unite with God in the sacrament of His greatest love.

I want to be one in Him in this act of love, where He gives Himself to me and I give myself as a sacrifice to Him. Let me be a holy sacrifice as I become one with Him in this my act of greatest love to Him.

Let me unite with Him more, that I may more deeply love Him. May I help make reparation to His adorable Heart and the heart of His Mother, Mary. With greatest love, I offer myself to You and pray that You will accept my sacrifice of greatest love. I give myself to You and unite in Your gift of Yourself to me. Come and possess my soul.

Cleanse me, strengthen me, heal me. Dear Holy Spirit act in the heart of Mary to make me more and more like Jesus.

Father, I offer this my sacrifice, myself united to Jesus in the Holy Spirit to You. Help me to love God more deeply in this act of my greatest love.

Give me the grace to grow in my knowledge, love and service of You and for this to be my greatest participation in the Mass. Give me the greatest graces to love You so deeply in this Mass, You who are so worthy of my love.

-Mass Book, December 27, 1995

                R. We see the blood used on the door posts.
They had to kill a lamb, unspotted –
they spread the blood so the angel of
death would pass over – The houses where the
blood was on the door post were passed - over
by the angel of death and they were spared.
                BLOOD is Sacred –

We eat His Body and drink His Blood at Mass.

God wants us to obey – He does not want
                our disobedience.

God wants us to ask for forgiveness
                of our sins.

It is awful to deny sin and not
ask to be forgiven and have mercy –

We see Jesus on the Crucifix – He paid
for our sins. We need to ask for forgiveness
                of God for our sins.

                    SACRIFICE

We know how many men and women
died as martyrs because they would
not deny God. Shedding of Blood –

                    SACRIFICE

Lamb of God who takes away the
sins of the world have mercy on us!

From the Mass Book

January 2, 1997

"In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen."

"The grace of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."

God pours out His grace in this Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It is the greatest gift when God gives Himself to us.

We share with God His life, given to us abundantly in the Mass.

He gives Himself to us and we give ourselves to Him. The great love affair between God and man: His Holy Mass.

The priest is another Christ to us. It is Christ present, through the priest, celebrating the Mass. We must see Christ in the priest, see Him celebrate the Mass, see His beautiful brown hair, His gentle face, see Him, our Savior. This Jesus Christ that came was born an infant and gave Himself to His death on the cross that we would share His life. See Him now in the Mass, giving Himself in the greatest gift of all. He gives us His divine love and His divine life.

Oh, we thank You for Your life. We know Jesus died and rose and gave us a sharing in His holy life. His life is now abundantly poured, as a fountain to us, especially in the Mass.

Then we hear His word. Let the word of God penetrate our being. Let us feel this Living Word of God. As a two-edged sword, it comes forth with such conviction and love and it penetrates the souls of the faithful with such love. It is food indeed, food for our soul.

He is the Good Shepherd. He speaks to us. He gives us all we want. "Yahweh is my shepherd, I lack nothing." (Ps. 23:1)

He gives us green pastures, and His water pours out and refreshes us. He outpours His grace as a fountain to feed us with His life.

He is a just God, good and kind, all loving, for He is Love. We want for nothing for He outpours His love and His life to us in the Mass. We feast on His Body and Blood and are fed with His Word. We become one in Him and He shares Himself with us.

It is through the Mass celebrated by the hands of a holy priest that we will experience the Mass the way Christ intends. These writings are insights which hopefully will help lead you to the spring of life-giving water, the fountain of love and life He outpours in the Mass.

There will be a new earth when men will see with the light of seven suns. They will know God. A people walking in darkness will see a great light. They will no longer be blind, they will be enlightened, they will love God with the greatest love in the Mass. They will feast on His Body and Blood and will be united as one body in His holy Church through His life given to us in the Eucharist.

We will drink copiously from the fountain of grace which He pours out in the Mass. We will be filled with His love, absorbed with the love of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and feasting on His divine life.

We see with the vision of God. We partake in such a union with God. We see with the light the Spirit gives to us. The priest celebrates the Mass and we know God with such an intense knowing in this union. We are saturated with His life flowing from the hands of His consecrated priest.

And I look at Him, the priest, and I see Jesus there. I see Him giving Himself to me. I see the new and Holy City. I see with such clarity the great gift that God gives to us in the Mass!

We learn how to love in the Mass, for we unite to God. He gives us such an intimate sharing in His divine love that we carry His love out to the world. In this union we know His loving to an intense degree and we carry this love out to others. We share in an intense way in His divine act of loving. He, Who is love, gives Himself to us and we are absorbed in His love and we know intensely how God loves. We are filled with love for God and for each other, for, in the oneness He is loving through us. He gives us lights into His loving capacity and we know His loving power in an intensity we did not know before.

We then pray. We offer up our intentions for this Mass. It is now we who intercede to Him to outpour His grace on us and help us with these intentions.

We pray for this reign of peace when the Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph and men will fervently love and adore God with burning love. We pray for all souls and the Church and we beg for His help, His love, His grace.

We offer ourselves as a sacrifice. We offer the bread that will become the bread of life.

The priest mixes the water and the wine and we realize how His Divinity mixes with our humanity.

We offer the wine that will become our spiritual drink-His blood.

I give myself to Him and I beg to be cleansed of my sins with the washing of the hands.

"May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of His name, for our good and the good of all His Church."

We ask Him to accept the gifts we want to give Him, we give Him thanks, we lift up our hearts in thanks and praise and we sing out:

"Holy, Holy God, of power and might…" we sing Him praise and thank Him-oh, God we love Thee so much."

My heart is so filled with such awe. I cry because I love Him so much.

Every word in the Mass, I love. The priest consecrates the host and changes it into the Body and Blood of Christ.

Oh, it makes me cry for I am so struck with awe at what happens at the Consecration. I unite in the oneness with the priest, with Christ and with all present, with heaven and earth. I am one in that moment, united in the sacrifice of Christ giving Himself to the Father.

This is the moment when I unite in such oneness with Christ in the purity of Mary's heart. I give myself as a sacrifice. I offer myself to the Father.

The Father looks down and He sees us united to His Son's Sacrifice. It is in this oneness that His grace is outpoured on us, that we die to that which is not like Him and that the Holy Spirit works in the heart of Mary and fills us with His life.

I am in ecstasy as I realize more and more the great gift of love that God gives us in His holy Mass. I am taken to such heights, being wrapped in the presence of God. It is rapture, this Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

It is a great gift, experiencing this intense presence of the Almighty God: Through Him, With Him, and In Him.

We pray to the Father the prayer as Jesus taught us and beg, "thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

We pray: "For the Kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and forever."

We beg for peace in our hearts. We share this peace with one another. Then we beg of the Lamb of God. I want to get down to the ground and beg for His grace, mercy and forgiveness for our sins.

Please, God, I see us as a sinful people. I want the grace and mercy to flow abundantly.

He raises the Host and says: "This is the Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world, happy are those who are called to His supper."

We respond: "Lord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I shall be healed."

I receive the Almighty God in Communion. All I want is Him. Oh, God, I want you, I adore you, I worship you, I love you.

Oh, for this moment when God gives Himself to me. Oh, God, words do not express this time-this intense presence of You within my being. Oh, sweet Savior, I love You!

You share Yourself so intimately with me. You imprint on my soul a knowing of Your Divine Being that is so intimate in this Communion when You give Yourself to me.

Oh, let our hearts be open to His grace that we may know this great gift more, that we will partake more fully in this greatest act of love with Divinity.

He shares Himself with us, the Almighty God, in such oneness. This is the greatest way to bind us with each other, to unite with each other in the Mass and Communion.

And so I sing the love of God, the love of His Mass. I beg you to pray for the grace that He can teach you in these writings about His most intimate love affair with man, the gift of Himself-the gift He gives us in the Mass.

The Holy Sacrifice, the sacrifice of Calvary, sacramentally-made-present in the Mass when He gives Himself to us with the greatest love!

And what does He ask in return? He asks that we love one another, that we give Him the glory, the thanksgiving, the adoration that is His due as the Almighty God.

He sends us forth with His blessing to share His most intimate love with all. We go forth as other Christs in the world. For He is alive this day and He lives in us and He gives His love to others through us. We act as channels of His life to one another.

The Mass is the richest source of His life. His life flows through the body, the Church, especially through the Sacraments and the Mass.

Oh Jesus, from the fountain of life that pours forth from Your pierced Heart, give us holy priests whose hearts are consecrated to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary to celebrate the Mass-that there is such oneness between the priest and Christ that His grace will flow copiously.

We thirst for the fountain of life pouring forth from the pierced Heart of Christ. It is His life we seek and find in the Church. It is His love we want and we experience the greatest love affair with God in the Mass.

These books on the Mass are accounts of my intimate love affair with our Almighty God. Many experiences were enlightenments I received in the Mass.

I strongly advise all to pray, to say the Holy Spirit Prayer, the Consecration Prayers, and the Prayer before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, before Mass. (These prayers follow this message).

This book is the journey into the red room, the inner chamber of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, through the gateway, the pure and Immaculate Heart of His Mother.

It is in the Mass we give ourselves in such love to our Holy God. He gives Himself to us and we give ourselves to Him.

                    of the world!

                R. If I deny sin how can I be forgiven?

When we sin we hurt others – sin
                is not isolated –

Excerpt from the Spirituality of Fatima

by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

October 13, 1917

In her message that day, Our Blessed Mother told the children:

I am the Lady of the Rosary. I have come to warn the faithful to amend their lives and to ask pardon for their sins. They must not offend Our Lord any more, for He is already too grievously offended by the sins of men. People must say the Rosary. Let them continue saying it every day.(17)

NOTE:

17. For background material on Fatima, I am particularly indebted to  Our Lady of Fatima's Peace Plan from Heaven (Rockford: TAN Books and Publishers, Inc., 1983). p.7.

                R. Denial of guilt for sin can turn inward
in depression. The person ought to know
there is punishment for sin –

Look at Jesus on the cross –

So they can deny that they deserve punishment
                    and project punishment – guilt
on others to escape the consequences
of their guilt and when they do
watching others suffer for their sin –
they can get relief for a short time
                    for watching others be punished.

In sin we hurt our relationship
with God who loves us SO MUCH!
                We need our relationship with
God restored after we sin and
hurt others. We must not deny
the sin, but ask for forgiveness and
mercy of God and others –

We need the examination of conscience.

An Examination of Conscience

We tell God we are sorry for all the Masses we attended and we were distracted and thought of other things.

We tell God we are sorry for not offering our daily lives united to the Mass as a sacrifice.

We tell God we are sorry for not trusting in Him.

We tell God we are sorry for not thanking Him for the gifts He has given us.

We tell God we are sorry for not singing so deep from our hearts in Mass and participating in giving Him the praise He so rightly deserves.

We tell God how much we truly love Him.

We tell God we are sorry for not recognizing the love others gave us and thanking them for all their help when they helped us.

We tell God we are sorry for all our sins and we want to be like Him.

                R. Satan is the father of lies –

                God is Absolute truth –

Satan is out to deceive men!

                Satan wants to destroy –

Satan wants to tear down –
                    tear apart –

The devil wants to tear apart – destroy
things – take out unity – lead to
                isolation, pride, anger, jealousy,
                envy, slothfulness, lust and
                gluttony.

                    The devil wants discord in
                families, communities, churches,
                schools, work places – the
devil wants to tear - apart relationships.

The devil comes ahead like a roaring
lion wanting to destroy – tear apart –
the devil becomes more and more
aggressive and he is a liar –

The devil wants to bring down
                violence on innocent others. Look
                at the crime of abortion,
                physical, sexual and emotional
abuse, the cycle of abuse –
                acted out on the innocent!

                    The devil wants chaos and
                confusion, conflict, things breaking,
                disordered, disoriented, NO PEACE.

Jesus sweat Blood in the Garden
seeing all that would reject His
                love and lose their soul.

Mary appeared – Jesus spoke to
me – souls are going to hell because
                of their sins.

We must try and reach them with
this message – that is why Mary
                spoke –

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

Excerpt from The Spirituality of Fatima

by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

July 13, 1917

"During her appearance in July, Our Lady, in answer to Lucia's plea, promised that in October she would work a great miracle so that all might believe and know who she was. Again, the Mother of God told the children to sacrifice themselves for sinners and to say many times, especially when making a sacrifice, this prayer: "O my Jesus, I offer this for love of Thee, for the conversion of poor sinners, and in reparation for all the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary." (11)

"During this same July apparition, Mary showed the three children a vision of Hell. She told them:

"You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish, in the world, devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If people do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.

"The war (World War I, then raging) is going to end. But if people do not stop offending God, another and worse one will begin in the reign of Pius XI. When you shall see a night illuminated by an unknown light [January 2, 1938], know that this is the great sign that God gives you that He is going to punish the world for its many crimes by means of war, hunger, and persecution of the Church and the Holy Father. (12)

"To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of Reparation on the five first Saturdays. If my requests are granted, Russia will be converted and there will be peace. If not, she will scatter her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be destroyed....

"But in the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, Russia will be converted, and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world." (13)

THE CHILDREN SEE HELL

As she spoke these words, Our Lady stretched out her hands, and bright rays came forth which seemed to penetrate into the earth. All at once the ground vanished, and the children found themselves standing on the brink of a sea of fire. As they peered into this dreadful place, the terrified youngsters saw huge numbers of devils and damned souls. The devils resembled hideous black animals, each filling the air with despairing shrieks. The damned souls were in their human bodies and seemed to be brown in color, tumbling about constantly in the flames and screaming with terror. All were on fire within and without their bodies, and neither devils nor damned souls seemed able to control their movements. They were tossing about in the flames like fiery coals in a furnace. There was never an instant's peace or freedom from pain.

Jesus: I want you to consecrate the human race to Sacred Heart of Jesus. I want to be enthroned in all homes, churches, and businesses.

June is the month of the Sacred Heart. I want to be king and center of all hearts. I will keep My promises given to St. Margaret Mary of Alacoque. I promise all this from My most Sacred Heart. Consecrate your chapter to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Consecrate the church or room in which you hold your meeting.

Today is First Friday. I want you to circulate the message I gave to you on consecrating your homes to My Sacred Heart. Make booklets available for people to be able to consecrate their homes and businesses easily. Use the message I gave to you when you consecrated your home.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph. Consecrate all homes and businesses to Our Two Hearts. Tell all to have displayed and honored, pictures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. May and June are the months of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Tell all to consecrate their homes to Our Two Hearts. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. On this day, the 5th of May, 1995, First Friday, I request that you spend the next two months encouraging all to do this consecration.

Gather your friends and say the prayers I have instructed you to say. Sing "To Jesus Heart All Burning" and "Immaculate Mary." May these Two Hearts of love give all members of the human race peace, joy and love in their hearts.

R. Jesus said He desires to be honored by men in the Blessed Sacrament.

Jesus: Circulate the Blue Book messages. They promote this devotion. How My Heart is filled with happiness by the souls who come to the tabernacle and sit with Me. I am Jesus Christ, I wait and long and thirst for My precious souls to come. The souls of men have turned cold. I want souls to come to daily communion and be with Me in front of the tabernacle.

Men's hearts have turned cold. They do not know what love really means. I want hearts that are filled with fire for love of God. Men's hearts have turned to stone.

You are to promote devotion to My most Sacred Heart. I want hearts that burn with love for My Heart. It is through Me that you will know the Father's love. I am the Way, I am the Truth, I am the Life.

Offer a holy hour for the indifference, ingratitude, and sacrileges committed against Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, the Sacrament of His greatest love.

R. He promises great graces to those who give reparation to His Sacred Heart and who tell others about offering reparation to Him.

The Father's Will for Us - Our Source of Peace

  • Pope John Paul II instructs us: "The Church, as a reconciled and reconciling community, cannot forget that at the source of her gift and mission of reconciliation is the initiative, full of compassionate love and mercy, of that God who is love (see 1 John 4:8) and who out of love created human beings (see Wisdom 11:23-26; Genesis 1:27: Psalms 8:4-8)…He created them so that they might live in friendship with Him and in communion with one another.

"God is faithful to His eternal plan even when man, under the impulse of the evil one (see Wisdom 2:24) and carried away by his own pride, abuses the freedom given to him in order to love and generously seek what is good, and (instead) refuses to obey his Lord and Father. God is faithful even when man, instead of responding with love to God’s love, opposes Him and treats Him like a rival, deluding himself and relying on his own power, with the resulting break of relationship with the One who created him. In spite of this transgression on man’s part, God remains faithful in love.

"It is certainly true that the story of the Garden of Eden makes us think about the tragic consequences of rejecting the Father, which becomes evident in man’s inner disorder and in the breakdown of harmony between man and woman, brother and brother (see Genesis 3:12 ff; 4:1-16). Also significant is the Gospel parable of the two brothers (the parable of the ‘prodigal son’; see Luke 15:11-32) who, in different ways, distance themselves from their father and cause a rift between them. Refusal of God’s fatherly love and of His loving gifts is always at the root of humanity’s divisions.

"But we know that God…like the father in the parable (of the prodigal son), does not close His heart to any of His children. He waits for them, looks for them, goes to meet them at the place where the refusal of communion imprisons them in isolation and division. He calls them to gather about His table in the joy of the feast of forgiveness and reconciliation.

"This initiative on God’s part is made concrete and manifest in the redemptive act of Christ, which radiates through the world by means of the ministry of the Church." 13

Luke 1: 46-55

And Mary said:

My soul proclaims
    the greatness of the Lord
and my spirit rejoices
    in God my Saviour;
because he has looked upon
    the humiliation of his servant.
Yes, from now onwards
all generations will call me blessed,
for the Almighty
has done great things for me.
Holy is his name,
and his faithful love extends age after age
    to those who fear him.
He has used the power of his arm,
he has routed the arrogant of heart.
He has pulled down princes
    from their thrones
        and raised high the lowly.
He has filled the starving with good things,
    sent the rich away empty.
He has come to the help
    of Israel his servant,
        mindful of his faithful love
—according to the promise
    he made to our ancestors—
of his mercy to Abraham
and to his descendants for ever.

        A MEDITATION ON TWO STANDARDS

The one of Christ, our supreme leader and lord,
the other of Lucifer, the deadly enemy of our

PRAYER.   The usual preparatory prayer.

window at a former Jesuit Seminary

137. FIRST PRELUDE.   This is the history. Here it will be that Christ calls and wants all beneath His standard, and Lucifer, on the other hand, wants all under his.

138. SECOND PRELUDE.   This is a mental representation of the place. It will be here to see a great plain, comprising the whole region about Jerusalem, where the sovereign Commander-in-Chief of all the good is Christ our Lord; and another plain about the region of Babylon, where the chief of the enemy is Lucifer.

139. THIRD PRELUDE.   This is to ask for what I desire. Here it will be to ask for a knowledge of the deceits of the rebel chief and help to guard myself against them; and also to ask for a knowledge of the true life exemplified in the sovereign and true Commander, and the grace to imitate Him.

FIRST PART

THE STANDARD OF SATAN

140. FIRST POINT.   Imagine you see the chief of all the enemy in the vast plain about Babylon, seated on a great throne of fire and smoke, his appearance inspiring horror and terror.

141. SECOND POINT.   Consider how he summons innumerable demons, and scatters them, some to one city and some to another, throughout the whole world, so that no province, no place, no state of life, no individual is overlooked.

142. THIRD POINT.   Consider the address he makes to them, how he goads them on to lay snares for men and bind them with chains. First they are to tempt them to covet riches (as Satan himself is accustomed to do in most cases) that they may the more easily attain the empty honors of this world, and then come to overweening pride.

The first step, then, will be riches, the second honor, the third pride. From these three steps the evil one leads to all other vices.

SECOND PART

THE STANDARD OF CHRIST

143.   In a similar way, we are to picture to ourselves the sovereign and true Commander, Christ our Lord.

144. FIRST POINT.   Consider Christ our Lord, standing in a lowly place in a great plain about the region of Jerusalem, His appearance beautiful and attractive.

145. SECOND POINT.   Consider how the Lord of all the world chooses so many persons, apostles, disciples, etc., and sends them throughout the whole world to spread His sacred doctrine among all men, no matter what their state or condition.

4 Days before Fr. Carter's Death

                R. The diabolic hates the Eucharist!

The devil wants people to take out
                    the cross.

December 19, 1996

THERE IS A MAN ON THE CROSS

God wants union with us. He wants fire. Many try to love God with a cold heart. They tell Him words that they think they should say that are loving.

When one loves, they do not need to be prompted to say words. From the depth of their being they cry out their words of love. It is a cry from within, from the fire within their chest, behind the words. The words are burning in their chest and must be released because of the fire behind them.

We are as blind men. We do not see the great gifts that God gives to us. It is as if we stand by the shore of the sea and throw little words at Jesus. We must not be afraid to jump into the water and be completely immersed in His love. He was consumed with such love for us. He gave Himself to His death on the cross.

There is a man on a cross and he tells us so many things. He does not have to speak. When we study Him on the cross, He speaks to us with His pierced hands, His head covered with blood, His body withered and beaten. He speaks to us of His undying love.

Oh, beloved Savior, I am blind. I am selfish. I do not see the great reservoir of love that you give to Me. I see the man dying on the cross. How do I see Him? Do I see a figure and think, oh, is it a pretty cross, would it look good in my living room? Do I see the cross and think, oh, I guess I should have one in my house, others will think I am holy then? Holy people do have a cross in their homes.

Do I see the body of a man, a live man? Do I see His labored breath? Do I see His chest move as His Heart beats within? Do I see the real skin of a man? Do I see the real blood He shed? Do I see the light that silhouettes His withered body? Do I see the Light of the World? Do I see the tender skin of an infant laid on bare wood in the manager and then the torn, lacerated, bloodied skin of this man?

This is love! There is a man on the cross. There is a child born to us today. He is the Light of the World. His light is shining in the darkness, but people do not see. They see the wood, but they view it for the beauty it will create in their newly decorated living rooms.

The cross is not a thing of the past, the cross is with us today. We carry it on our backs as He showed us we would, but we try to take it off and throw it away.

It is in the cross there is the resurrection. It is by meditating on the crucifix, we see His undying love. We must open up our eyes and see. Pray for vision to see clearly the man Who gave Himself for love of us, Our Divine Lord.

And how do we return His love?

Love is spontaneous, love is fire in our hearts, love is alive and emitted with force. God is love.

Do we realize that His last thoughts on the cross were for us. In this agony, as He hung on the cross, He was consumed with burning love for us. When He was scourged at the pillar, He was comforted by our acts of love that we give to Him today. Our burning love for Him was sweetness to His most Sacred Heart in the moments of His bitter Passion.

Love gives and wants to give its all. A person in love does not need to be prompted and told to love. Love wants to give.

Love is given spontaneously, it is not controlled. Love is tenderness pouring forth from the heart. Love is not concerned with commitment, love by itself is committed. It pours forth from the mouth of the lover because of the fire burning deep inside.

Let us study the battered body of Christ on the cross. As I study His

pierced hands and feet, His head crowned with thorns, the blood pouring forth from His Heart, as I view the lacerations covering His body, I feel His word well up in my heart. He speaks to me in the depth of my soul and I hear Him say, "I love you. I love you. I love you, to My death on the cross."

He gives, He gives, He gives to us constantly. He gives and how is He treated by us? We take and we take and we take and we don't even say thanks. Thanks for our breath, our heartbeat, the beautiful sky, the sunlit day, the moon at night, the beautiful eyes of our friends. Oh, how many things He gives to us and how ungrateful we are!

How is your day? Is your glass half-empty or half-full?

How often my glass is half empty, as I am reminded by my spiritual director, Fr. Carter. How often I do not thank Our Divine Lord for His gifts!

When I am filled with love, I see more clearly. The secret is to know God's love. We must pray for the grace to know His love more and for the grace to love Him more.

There is a man on the cross. Do we see His undying love for us? He speaks no words. He shows us the crucifix. The words are alive in our hearts.

The Father created us to love and to be loved. God is love. He wants union with us. He gives Himself to us. This is love. There is union in proportion to how I give myself to Him.

Jesus gives and gives and gives and we treat Him "nonchalantly". He gives us love, but we must give ourselves to Him to have union with Him. He wants us to be one with Him.

We must relish the great gifts He gives to us - the greatest gift being the gift of Himself. We should anticipate the great gift of receiving Him in the Holy Eucharist with such eagerness in our hearts. The words I feel in my heart are expressed in the song, "I Love You, Jesus":

Oh Burning Heart, Oh Love divine, how sweet You are to me. I see the host, I know You're here to love and care for me. I know Your love a little now, so dear You are to me. Come give me life, abundant life, I thirst to be with Thee. I cannot say. There are not words to say what my heart feels. I love You so, I scarce can breathe when You come into me. I know Your love a little now, so dear You are to me. Come give me life, abundant life, I thirst to be with Thee. Your tender Heart, Oh how it beats for love of each this day. I want to give You all my love, surrender totally. I know Your love a little now, so dear You are to me. Come give me life, abundant life, I thirst to be with Thee.

When we awake at night, we must think of Him and how we will receive Him the next day. We long to go to Communion to receive Him. We love Jesus in the Eucharist so much. A King comes to us. He enters our body and unites with our soul. He is the King of the kingdom of heaven…He is our Lover, He is the Almighty God, a Divine Person, and He comes to us. He wants us to come to Him with such longing. He wants us to think of Him all day. He wants us to long for Him.

Ps. 63:1-8:

God, you are my God, I pine for you;
my heart thirsts for you,
my body longs for you,
as a land parched, dreary and waterless.
Thus I have gazed on you in the sanctuary,
seeing your power and your glory.
Better your faithful love than life itself;
my lips will praise you.
Thus I will bless you all my life,
in your name lift up my hands.
All my longings fulfilled as with fat and rich foods,
a song of joy on my lips and praise in my mouth.
On my bed when I think of you,
I muse on you in the watches of the night,
for you have always been my help;
in the shadow of your wings I rejoice;
my heart clings to you,
your right hand supports me.

The priest says in the Mass at the Offertory, "By the mystery of this water and wine may we come to share in the Divinity of Christ, Who humbled himself to share in our humanity." He gives Himself to us. He shares His Divinity with us. We are human creatures and He shares Himself with us. My heart burns when the priest puts the drop of water in the wine. This is, indeed, a great mystery that God remains with us today, truly present in His Divinity and humanity in the Holy Eucharist, that He gives Himself to us in Communion, and that He waits for us to come to the tabernacle and be with Him. He wants to outpour His divine love and His divine life to us.

We should swoon for our Lover the Almighty, Divine God, yet we go to Him with such cold hearts. He wants our burning love.

The song "I Love You, Jesus":

Come give me life, abundant life, I thirst to be with Thee.   end of excerpt

Song: I Am a God of Justice

                R. The devil tells people

                    Do what you want –

                    You have time –

From a Lenten Homily, March 24, 2000

Live in the Moment

Today’s Gospel in its story certainly points ahead to Jesus in His Passion and death. And as we read passages such as this during the Lenten season, we are reminded once again that the Church in her Liturgy of the Word gives us an opportunity to undergo a purification, an ever deepening cleansing of ourselves so that we may be a more fit instrument for receiving the great graces which are to be given to us at the time of the Resurrection memorial on Easter. And so all in all, Lent is a time of purification to prepare us for ever-greater gifts of the Lord. It’s a time of self-discipline, a time to renew our efforts to be self-disciplined in the service of the Lord. Self-discipline is an aspect of purification. And I suggest that one of the most difficult acts of self-discipline in the spiritual journey is to concentrate on the present moment. We have a very strong tendency to disregard the importance of the present moment by focusing in a wrong way on the past or in a wrong way on the future. There are proper occasions for thinking of the past and the future. For example, we have to learn from the past and we have to prepare for the future, but our great emphasis has to be upon the present. There is a Latin axiom which says, age quod agis, age quod agis, which means: do what you are doing, concentrate on the present. And of course we are familiar with that term in the history of spirituality: the sacrament of the present moment. And so the discipline of Lent certainly encourages us to include in a deeper self-discipline a greater determination to get as much as we can out of the present moment. People with a terminal illness have an opportunity as they prepare for death for increased prayer, contrition, love of God. However, some are taken very, very quickly. But for those who have the opportunity of knowing with some certainty the time of their death, I’m sure as they look back on their lives, they are saddened by the many times they did not use time and opportunities for the service of the Lord properly, and are overjoyed at those times in which they did use the present opportunity properly. A great means we have of living in the present properly is a greater focus upon our Lord. For if I have that awareness of the fact I am united with Jesus here and now, why should I be concerned so much about the future or the past? Yes, a great help in living in the present and deriving all the good we can from it for ourselves and others is an ever greater focus upon Jesus, because the more I focus upon Jesus and the more I live with Him in the present moment, the more I am satisfied with the present moment. And so let us in our Lenten activity resolve to grow in that self-discipline - which is very difficult at times - to really live in the presence with the fullness of our being as much as is possible, with the help of God’s grace. Now is the day of salvation. Now is the day of salvation.

                Song: Live This Day

Seek True Treasures

February 17, 1994 5:30 a.m.

Jesus: My little ones, how are you doing? Are you getting bogged down in this weather? Do you know yet that you do not control the elements? You live every day and you think you have much to do to control your actions but you do not see the eyes of Him Who watches over you with loving care.

I give to you this earth and all you need to sustain your life here. Man worries about the earth and if this or that will happen. Man has become so independent that he thinks he controls all things and he needs to worry about his present and future.

You, My favored, chosen ones, know that life here lasts but a moment and like smoke it is gone without a trace. Look at your ancestors. So few people ever remember their ancestors, yet your ancestors thought that at every moment their actions were so crucial. Little ones, you hold on to life. You hold on to these little happenings here and you worry in vain! Look at the big picture, My little ones. Here today, gone tomorrow, and where are you going?

The days go by with such speed. "Oh," you say, "Where have the years gone?" You think every second is so important. You worry, you fret, you wander empty roads and I watch you. I see you with your emphasis on the moment. You are being deceived, My little ones. It is in seeing the moment as part of eternity that you really know what is going on. Each moment you live, you are the teacher about the God Who dwells in your breast. Each moment you live, you are My messenger to this cold, scared world. Nothing you do means anything except as you are serving Me.

Take off your glasses. Behold the life above. See every moment as a drop of the life to come. See every moment as part of eternity. All these drops together make up your pass into My kingdom.

You worry, you wonder, you fret, you hold on. I give you a toothache, I take it away. One second and a toothache is gone. Is that not how it is with life–one second and it is gone? Oh, how those little precious moments seem to die away and you scarce can remember what happened! Yet during people's lives those moments seem earth-shattering. Those moments are yesterday's forgotten memories. You hold on, you fret, you fume and I watch you let go of each moment, only to become forgotten by today.

Store up your moments as part of eternity. Every moment here is part of your pass to My kingdom. How are you living this moment? Is it used to give service to Me and preach My gospel? Are you making all your moments count towards your eternity? Each moment is but a breath and it is gone. Did you use the moment I gave you to do My work? This time is not yours. I can snatch your moments away in one breath. It matters, My children, only as you choose to serve Me and spread My love!

If everyone had God as their primary goal, what love you would possess. What power you would know, because God is the mightiest force. I have all the power. Other power is false power!

Do you get it yet? Do you think anything you hold on to is so precious here? Here today, gone tomorrow, and I snatch you from your seats and you never return to finish what you deemed so important.

Are you comprehending My words here? The body is but an instrument to get you around. Reach with the spirit within. Live from the soul. Communicate with Me in your soul. Look for the unseen world that surrounds you constantly. Die to yourself.

You have a soul at this very moment that is a vibrant spiritual force alive within you. Live from your soul, My little ones. Focus on your soul. Live from your heart. Do not fret and fume for the things of this world. Here today, gone tomorrow, and then forgotten. Today's moments, yesterday's forgotten treasures. Do they mean so much or do you forget what seemed so important?

Reach with the soul. Live for God. Each moment is your chance to store up treasures for eternity. They will never be forgotten. What you do to help others to know Me will never be forgotten. How you loved will never be forgotten. How you gave lives on in those you touched. Your love is like a bubbling brook. It bubbles and keeps on bubbling. Your selfishness dies the moment after you live it.

Love is the force. Love is the power that reflects the God above. Love is not selfish. Love does not demand its own way. Love gives and doesn't stop giving. On the day of judgment it will be found in the hearts of those you touched. Think of only yourself and watch your moments become yesterday's forgotten moments. Love your brothers and watch the world reflect the love you gave, from now to the end.

Love or selfishness? I call you to love. I call you to plant a seed that grows into a mighty oak. Plant My seeds of love. Ask not how you can attain your goal but how you can fulfill the goal of God. Love God, love one another. Too simple, too hard for many.

Love, children. Reflect the God Who dwells within your soul. Store up your moments forever lest they become yesterday's forgotten treasure.

Like ripples on a pond, your love never dies. It reaches on and on and goes into the moments of eternity. Love is lasting. Love never dies. Love God, love one another. Die to yourself and live.

R. Cooperation – Doing the will of God

Seeking God's will in all we do –

It is so much love for God we
do not want to offend Him –
    just to please Him.

Love for God –

Love for His will –

Love for the Commandments of God

God calls us to be Christ to others –

God is love –

We are loving in our actions –

God the Father created us to love.

Remember the beatitude

"Blessed are they who hunger and thirst
for justice, for they shall be
    satisfied."  (Matthew 5)

God is all just!

God calls us to perfection and
    holiness –

                    Matthew 5: 20

    "Unless your justice exceeds that
    of the Scribes and Pharisees,
you shall not enter the Kingdom of heaven."

Seeking justice shows us that
    a person is reaching
    holiness in the spiritual life.

We are to follow in the footsteps of
    Jesus –

Song: I Am a God of Justice

R. What is in the man –

Does he hunger and thirst for justice –

Is he impudent, self - seeking
    and offending God?

We are to seek perfection –
    Doing God's will –

We desire to do God's will – It is
    our delight –
We desire it with all our hearts
set on this and living in
        love –

"Blessed are the merciful, for they
    shall obtain mercy"  (Matthew 5)

This means we have compassion
    for others –

We are kind and full of charity
    towards others – we have
    the gentleness of Jesus –
We have pity and love for others –
not filled with remorse or anger
    and self-pity for ourselves.

God will be merciful to us if
    we are merciful – full
    of forgiveness for others –

Be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect!

We are all sinners and yet we can
ask God for forgiveness for our
    sins, having sorrow for sins
    and go beyond to forgiveness
    and mercy toward others who
    are in need.

Christ was compassionate towards
    men –

We are to be Christ-like –

Live the Christ-life –

We are to be meek and compassionate.

Jesus was meek in heart –

That means Not combattal –
    seeking arguments –
    living in anger, retaliation,
    punishment, full of remorse

Be Christ-like at all times –

"Blessed are the pure of heart, for they
    shall see God" (Matthew 5)

We are to seek innocence – so
we do not offend God with
    the slightest sin –

We see through the eyes
    of the heavenly Father –

Our hearts magnify the Lord
    like Mary –

We are the reflection of God living
    in us –
    We seek God –
We seek growth in purity of heart –
    We want God dwelling, operating
        in us –

The Holy Spirit fills our soul –

    We seek the beatific vision
for eternity in all we do –

We have purity of heart and are seeking the
vision of God, through God's eyes –

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for
they shall be called children of God"  (Matthew 5)

Living to help men to reconcile
    themselves together –
be united – work as one in
    togetherness –

Self-discipline –

Peace inside in Jesus –

Not seeking conflict, crisis,
    turmoil, chaos –
    running a roller coaster
    of hatred –

Peacemakers seek being a 'son of God'.

"This is My beloved Son, in
    whom I am well pleased."

The Holy Spirit is in him.

The Holy Spirit brings Peace in the man –
    unity – love – reconciliation –

Dispensing the peace of God –

Like Fr. Joe –

Not a person of discord –
    argumentation –

"Blessed are they who suffer persecution
    for justice sake for theirs
is the Kingdom of heaven"  (Matthew 5)

Jesus' Heart is a Heart of love!

Jesus' Heart shows this love to the people –
courage to suffer for us –
    not a coward of sneaky
    ways to hurt others –

Jesus suffered for others –

Jesus took on our sins –

Jesus paid the price for our
    transgressions

The man who suffers for the
    mission to spread the
    Good News of Jesus even
    though he is persecuted –
    he suffers with the meanness
    and sinfulness of abusive, hateful
    men –

Jesus was meek and persecuted by
    sinful men – Jesus loved
    and was hated, not accepted
    by His own –

                   John 1: 16

    Indeed, from his fullness
we have, all of us, received
        one gift replacing another

We are to live to promote the
    Kingdom of God –

We are to perform our duty for
God in love for God and
    others willingly –

We are to imitate Christ –

                R. God calls us to love.

Matthew 22: 34-40

‘Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?’ Jesus said to him, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself.  On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.’

                R. We have a choice to love or not to love.

Here is what our Lady did in the
                    July 13, 1917 vision.

There was never an instant's peace or freedom from pain.

of Peace. She is warning us
100 years ago at Fatima –

1 Corinthians 15: 20-26, 28

In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first–fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first–fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet.

When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

                R. We are to have relationship with God –
We were created to know, love and
serve God and love our neighbor
                as ourselves.

God wants us to live in the real
world. God is the boss. It is
as He tells us – We are to obey
the Law of God – the 10 Commandments
                and live by His Word.

We are not to make a fictitious world
in our head how we see things –
Reality is in God – God is light –
                God is Absolute truth –

                Jesus says

"I am the way, the truth and
                        the life"

God has put us here to prepare for
heaven  – God intends us to work and
we will struggle – Does it matter if
God gives us a pebble or a boulder to
carry – We do His will in love –

We are docile and obedient and
loving. God is our Creator – We
are the creature – We should not
do what we want – we must seek
                the will of God.

                    We have distorted vision because
of our wounded human nature –
God gives us baptism – a sharing
in His life – We seek to see more and
                more through God's eyes to
raise us up. We seek to be
filled more and more with His life –

                    A person giving into satan
                is distorting his vision worse
and worse if he fails to admit
                his bad habits, sins and
                continues in denial.

A person who is blind cannot
see. We are here to prepare
ourselves for the beatific vision –
this takes being obedient to God –
living under His law – preparing
                ourselves for heaven by following
Jesus, living by the Word –
The Church helps us on our
journey to be in the right
                vision –

Matthew 5: 1-12

Seeing the crowds, he went onto the mountain. And when he was
seated his disciples came to him. Then he began to speak. This is
what he taught them:

How blessed are the poor in spirit:
the kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
Blessed are the gentle:
they shall have the earth as inheritance.
Blessed are those who mourn:
they shall be comforted.
Blessed are those
who hunger and thirst for uprightness:
they shall have their fill.
Blessed are the merciful:
they shall have mercy shown them.
Blessed are the pure in heart:
they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers:
they shall be recognised
   as children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted
   in the cause of uprightness:
the kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

Blessed are you when people abuse you and persecute you and
speak all kinds of calumny against you falsely on my account.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven; this
is how they persecuted the prophets before you.

Luke 1: 46-55

And Mary said:

My soul proclaims
    the greatness of the Lord
and my spirit rejoices
    in God my Saviour;
because he has looked upon
    the humiliation of his servant.
Yes, from now onwards
all generations will call me blessed,
for the Almighty
has done great things for me.
Holy is his name,
and his faithful love extends age after age
    to those who fear him.
He has used the power of his arm,
he has routed the arrogant of heart.
He has pulled down princes
    from their thrones
        and raised high the lowly.
He has filled the starving with good things,
    sent the rich away empty.
He has come to the help
    of Israel his servant,
        mindful of his faithful love
—according to the promise
    he made to our ancestors—
of his mercy to Abraham
and to his descendants for ever.

I will take you deeply to

Joyful Mysteries

Mary’s Heart

Mary and Jesus were still appearing at the Holy Spirit Center.

The Annunciation

1. R. Put yourself in the presence of God. God dwells in our graced, baptized soul. Put aside all the distractions of the day and focus on the lives of Jesus and Mary.

2. R. Come and dwell in the heart of the Virgin Mary. Be so aware of the gentleness and the kindness and the love in her Immaculate and pure heart. Focus totally on the heart of Mary.

3. R. Experience this rosary as you feel the emotions that Mary knew and felt and the love of Jesus all through the rosary. See Mary when the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, listen to the conversation between Mary and the angel.

4. R. Recorded in the heart of Mary are all the events, her relationship with Jesus. Mary pondered many things in her heart. Put yourself there as the angel appears to Mary and as Mary responds to the angel.

Luke 1:38

Mary said, ‘You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.’

R. Mary lived her life according to His will, always pleasing her Father as a sweet little daughter loves her Father. Mary always obeyed the Father. She lived her life seeking to do His will. Mary shows us her love for God the Father.

5. R. Mary conceived the Child Jesus in her womb through the power of the Holy Spirit. Mary felt the life of the Child Jesus grow within her womb. Focus on the feelings in Mary’s heart. Recorded in her heart are all the tender events of the life of Christ. As we focus on these events through the heart of Mary we will join ever closer to His Heart.

6. R. The life of the Child Jesus as He grew in the womb of His Mother depended on the heart of Mary beating. The Two Hearts, the Heart of Jesus and the heart of Mary, within the same body, beating in such closeness, Mary and Jesus’ Hearts beating as one from the beginning.

7. R. So many events in the life of Christ recorded deeply in the heart of Mary. Mary knew she carried the Child Jesus within her womb. Mary the Mother of God. Mary carried Jesus in her womb.

8. R. Oh, tender heart of Mary, let me feel with your heart and know the Child Jesus more with your heart. Let us learn more about Jesus’ life as we join ever closer to your Immaculate and pure heart.

9. R. It is through the rosary and meditating on the lives of Jesus and Mary that Their lives become alive in our life. We pray in every prayer united to Their Two Hearts. We beg to be filled more and more with His life in our graced, baptized soul. Help us as we meditate on these mysteries of the rosary to understand more and more the mysteries of the lives of Jesus and Mary. We want to be examples of your life living in us.

10. R. It is through baptism that we share in His Divine Life and the Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwell in our graced, baptized soul. We wish to be filled more and more with His life in us. Feel the vibrancy of this life in us, as we are saturated more and more with His life every day as we go to the Eucharist. It is through the rosary that we meditate on Their lives and live Their life more fully in all of our actions.

The Visitation

1. R. Oh, tender Heart of the Child Jesus, that was formed in the womb of the Virgin Mary, help us to unite ever closer to Your tender and gentle loving Heart through the heart of Your beloved Mother.

2. R. Mary went to visit her cousin Elizabeth. Her heart is bursting with such joy to share the good news. She goes to one person and tells the great news that she is carrying the Child Jesus within her womb. In the rosary chapel, there is the window on Jesus ascending into Heaven. Mary goes to one person and as Jesus ascended into Heaven He left behind the Apostles to carry out the work that He had begun. This day He gives to us this mission - to carry out His life, death and resurrection in our lives. As we meditate deeply on these mysteries of the rosary, the lives of Jesus and Mary live more in our lives. We join more fully in the liturgy as we know more and more about Their lives.

3. R. Mary carried the Child Jesus within her womb. The child within Elizabeth’s womb, leapt for joy. Today we receive Jesus in the Eucharist. We receive the presence of the Almighty God. We receive the Almighty God, Jesus Christ, in His Divinity and His humanity in the Eucharist. Should we not leap for joy at the fact that the Almighty God gives Himself to us!

4. R. God the Father chose the Virgin Mary. God the Father so loved this world that He sent His Son Jesus in her womb. Mary is the Singular vessel. We unite in deep union with Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the heart of Mary, her Immaculate Heart. Mary loves the Father so much. Mary loves her Son. Mary is the Spouse of the Holy Spirit. We will unite in the deepest union with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit through Mary’s heart.

5. R. The heart of Mary knows the Heart of Christ. Mary pondered so many things in her heart. We should love God through Mary’s heart - love our brothers through Mary’s heart and love all the little children of the world through Mary’s heart. If I dwell in the heart of Mary, I will love more and more as Mary loved, with her pure and gentle heart.

6. R. Mary carried the child within her womb. Mary is the

Mother of God. Mary, full of grace.

7. R. The more I unite to the heart of Mary, the more I dwell in her heart, the more I will act in pure and gentle likeness to Mary, perfect handmaid of the Lord. The more I love with Mary’s heart, the more I am united with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

From Tell My People

The Holy Spirit

Jesus: “My beloved friend, tell My people to pray daily to the Holy Spirit. They are to pray for an increase in His gifts. My people must realize that the Holy Spirit comes to transform them. The Spirit desires to transform you more and more according to My image. Those who are docile to His touch become increasingly shaped in My likeness. He performs this marvel within Mary’s Immaculate Heart. The more one dwells in My Mother’s Heart, the more active are the workings of the Spirit. The Spirit leads Mary to place you within My own Heart. In both Our Hearts, then, your transformation continues. The more you are formed after My own Heart, the more I lead you to the bosom of My Father. Tell My people all this. Tell them to pray daily for a greater appreciation of these wondrous gifts. I am Lord and Master. All who come to My Heart will be on fire to receive the gifts of the Spirit in ever greater measure! I love and bless My people!”

Reflection: The Holy Spirit is given to us to fashion us ever more according to the likeness of Jesus. And the more we are like Jesus, the more Jesus leads us to the Father. Do we, each day, pray to the Holy Spirit to be more open to His transforming influence? Do we strive each day to grow in union with Mary? The greater our union with our Mother, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, the greater is the transforming action of the Holy Spirit within us.   end of excerpt

The Birth of Jesus

1. R. Jesus came into this world a little baby to be loved. Approachable and lovable, He waits for us this day to come and be with Him and to tell Him of our deep love for Him.

2. R. Oh, Heart of Jesus, I long to unite so much more tenderly to your Heart. It is through the heart of Your beloved Mother that I will know so much more about You and the tenderness of Your love. Help me to dwell more and more in the heart of Your Mother and thereby dwell deeply and lovingly in Your precious Sacred Heart.

3. R. There was such tenderness between the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. From the first moment of conception she carried the child within her womb and felt the child grow and move within her. Recorded in her heart were all of these incidents in the life of Jesus. For two mysteries of the rosary the Child Jesus was within the womb of the Virgin Mary, and He received His life through her heart. In the third mystery of the rosary Mary gave to Jesus her precious milk, and He was dependent on Mary for His physical life in this mystery.

4. R. We see Mary tenderly hold the Child Jesus in her arms. We see her as she holds the lifeless body of her Son in her arms under the cross. It is in Mary that we will unite deeper and deeper in the Heart of Jesus. It is in dwelling in her heart, in knowing His life in all the details, as she knows His life, as she pondered all of the aspects of His life, that we will know Him more and more.

Dear Mary, help us to dwell more and more in your heart and Jesus’ Heart.

5. R. A little baby, born in the town of Bethlehem, such quietness, but this is the Son of God who came to this earth to save man from his sins.

6. R. Jesus was rejected at birth. He died on a cross. Both on bare wood.

7. R. Jesus came to show us the way and His way is the way of love, born a little baby in the town of Bethlehem. The Son of God, He is not adorned with gold and silver, but comes humbly in a manger, wrapped in swaddling clothes and the angels sing the glory of God.

8. R. Mary kept all of these things in her heart. Mary pondered all these things. How the heart of Mary knows the Heart of Jesus - all the details and incidents of Jesus’ life!

Dear Mary, help us to know more and more our beloved Jesus as you knew Him. Help us to know Him in our Hearts, to be there as we meditate on these mysteries of the rosary, to be there in the town of Bethlehem and see the Child Jesus, born in the Manger, in such poverty, to see the love that Jesus came in such poverty, for love of us.

9. Song: See the Eyes that Look at Mary

10. This is a message from your Mother

Mary: To all my beloved that I have gathered here. It is a very important message that I am delivering to you. It is My dear ones, dwelling in my heart, that you will know more and more the love of my Son, in seeing through my eyes, my Son Jesus. As you meditate on the Mysteries of Our lives, as you see through my heart, you will know my Son more and more. Jesus came into this world in my womb. Jesus was held in my arms and Jesus was held in my arms under the cross.

R. Mary kept all of these things and pondered them in her heart. Mary peered into His eyes on the way to Calvary and in that look, the summation of Their lives together: all of the little things that happened in the life of Jesus. Mary saw all these events when she looked in His eyes. Mary pondered all of these things and kept them in her heart. It is in going to the heart of Mary and dwelling in her heart that she will reveal to us many secrets in the mysteries of her life and thelife of her Son. She will teach us to love with her pure and tender heart, to love her Son, to love the Father, to love the Holy Spirit, to love our brothers as she tenderly loved all her little children of this world. This message is an important message from Mary to us, a great gift to realize that as we meditate on the mysteries of the rosary and see the life of Jesus through her eyes.

R. See through her eyes as she saw her Son, lying in the manger. See through her eyes as she nursed her Son Jesus at the breast and her child, the Child Jesus looked tenderly into her eyes. As we look into the eyes of Mary, we will know more and more about our beloved Jesus, her Son.

The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple

1. R. Joseph and Mary took the Child Jesus to the temple.

2. R. Simeon, the Prophet, led by the Holy Spirit, prophesied the sufferings of Jesus and Mary to come.

3. R. And from that moment on, Mary knew of the sufferings of her Son and she kept all of these things and pondered them in her heart.

4. R. We see the intimacy between the Child Jesus and Mary. For Jesus knew all things and Mary knew of the sufferings that would come. When she looked at her child, she knew of these sufferings.

5. R. And Simeon tells Mary, “a sword too shall pierce your heart, O Mary.” The Heart of Jesus was pierced with a lance and what flowed from the Heart of Jesus was the sacramental life of the Church, blood for the Eucharist and water for baptism. Mary is the Mediatrix of all grace.

6. Mary: Tender and gently I held the Child Jesus within my arms in the temple and my heart was torn within my breast to hear the words of the prophet Simeon. My heart, that knew the Heart of my Son, Jesus. I watched Jesus at play and watched Him as He grew to the beautiful young man that gave His life for you, my beloved children. I am Mary, your Mother and I ask you to see through my eyes the life of my Son Jesus and to ponder in your heart, as I pondered His ways and His love.

Mary: Ponder deeply in your heart, His love for you. You do not know the gentleness and the kindness with which my Son loves each and every precious soul. Come to my heart and I will teach you of the love of my Son, the love that He has for you. I am Mary, your Mother. I love you with the deepest motherly love. It is in meditating on the mysteries of the rosary that you will live more and more in Our lives. That the world will see through you, the reflection of my Son Jesus as He comes to you. It is in your being that you teach so many lessons to those that you touch.

Jesus calls you to love Him with your whole heart, your whole soul and your whole being. Meditate deeply on these mysteries of the rosary and dwell in my heart. See through my eyes, feel as I felt the sorrow and the joy. The mysteries of the rosary will make the life of my Son live within your hearts. These are Rosaries from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Meditate with your whole heart and join in such oneness with Our Hearts.

7. R. See through the tender eyes of Mary as she peered into the tender eyes of her Son on Calvary. His face, covered with blood, and His head crowned with thorns! See in that look the summation of His life to that point. How the heart of Mary knows the Heart of Jesus, and in that look all of the memories that she shared with her Son, see through her eyes and know His love.

8. R. See the eyes that look at Mary, her tender, infant child. See the child’s heart beat so tenderly the Savior of the world.

9. Sing: See the Eyes that Look at Mary

10. Hail Mary

The Finding in the Temple

1. R. When Jesus was 12 years old He was taken up to the temple for the feast of the Passover with Mary and Joseph. The Child Jesus was lost.

2. Mary: It is so simple, My dear sweet little children, to come and dwell in Our Hearts. Our Hearts are filled with such love, as you unite more and more in Our Hearts, you will be one with each other. I am Mary, your Mother. Come and dwell in my heart and dwell in the Heart of my Son Jesus.

3. Mary: In the brightness of the light of the Almighty God you will know His power within your heart, for Our way isthe way of light. Focus on the presence of the Almighty God dwelling within your graced, baptized soul, and know this life, this light alive within your soul.

I am Mary, your Mother. Dear, sweet children, as you dwell in my heart, you will dwell so deeply in the Heart of my Son. Realize at every moment the presence of the Almighty God within your being. Feel the light within your chest and the light of this love will radiate from your eyes and from your being and be transmitted to all my little children of this world. My little children are suffering and in pain. I am calling you to the light that shines in the darkness to unite with Our Hearts and to transmit the messages of Our love to all those you touch. I am Mary your Mother. I am present and I am with you. I am protecting you with my motherly love and caring for your every need. Join closer and closer to me, your Mother of love.

4. Mary: You may be surrounded by darkness and it may seem to close in on you but the presence of the Almighty God within your hearts will guide you in the darkest night. I am Mary, your Mother, come and dwell in Our Hearts and you will go into the darkness and what will be transmitted from you is a light that will shine in the darkest night for the love of God is a force and a power too mighty to be contained and it will be emitted from your being. I am Mary, your Mother.

5. R. And the darkness came and it folded in and the hearts of many were filled with fear and anguish and in the dark night the light was felt within those who were fixed deeply in the love of God.

6. Mary: Hearts that are cold and hard cannot unite to the Heart of my Son. Open wide your hearts and let me pour Our abundant love into your hearts.

7. Mary: Children of light I give to you the gift of my Motherly love. Accept this gift in exchange for all bitterness and anguish in your hearts for purity and for love.

8. Mary: I love you, my children.

9. Jesus: I love you, I love you, I love you.

10. Sing: Little Baby Hands and Feet

Mary and Her Heart

R. Mary and her heart, all her gentleness, all her love, all her memories, all her emotions in dealing with the Child Jesus as she carried Him within her womb, as she nursed Him and took care of Him, all the memories in her heart and in her pure and gentle heart, the way that she loved the Father with such immense intensity, the way she loved her spouse the Holy Spirit with such deep, deep love, and the way she loved her Son Jesus, every detail of His life, the way she pondered His ways, the way she kept so many things in her heart. It is in dwelling in the heart of Mary, it is as I operate in this oneness from Mary’s heart, that I will more operate with purity and love. As I interact with others, I will love through the heart of Mary, I will love the Father and I will love the Son and I will love the Holy Spirit through the heart of Mary. I will love God through Mary’s heart, with gentleness, with purity, with deep love. I will love God more like Mary’s heart as I dwell and become one in her heart. I will love others through the heart of Mary. Mary, that loves each and every soul with such tender and beautiful love for her little children. I will love my brothers more as she loves her little children. When I pray to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit I will pray with this intense love through Mary’s heart. As I dwell in the heart of Mary, as I act in oneness with this heart of Mary, I will praise and love the Lord through her heart. How can I give honor and praise to God? Through Mary’s heart that loves God more than any other human person can, I can give great honor to God by loving through Mary’s heart. Immaculate Heart of Mary, may I forever dwell within this Immaculate Heart and in such purity give love to God and all others through the heart of Mary.

When we dwell in her heart we share her knowing of living in Jesus, her dwelling in Jesus, and of being one in Jesus.

The first place that Jesus made His entry as a man into the world was in the womb of Mary. So sacred and so holy the body of Mary to hold the Savior of the world, the Son of God.

It is so clear that it is the Father’s will for us to come through Mary. Let our hearts dwell within the heart that gave life to the beloved Son of God. The heart that beat and gave Him life. Let us dwell in this holy place.

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year (2011/2012)
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Audio CD - Read by Father Edward J. Carter

Priestly Newsletter — 2000 #1 — CD.Christ is Our Strength — Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our—selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
