A message for the Earth from Jesus

January 22, 1998

I am the Good Shepherd, these are My prayers, the prayers I give to help renew the Church and the world, all prayer chapters are asked to include these prayers (found in the Shepherds of Christ Prayer Manual). As My Apostles and Shepherds I ask you to encourage all existing Chapters to try to encourage all existing prayer groups to pray the Shepherds of Christ prayers. Encourage all Churches to pray these prayers. It is most urgent that the people of this earth concur with the Father's wishes to begin Prayer Chapters. This is an urgent request from the Good Shepherd. The flock will become one when they have given their hearts to Jesus and Mary. Encourage all priests to pray the Shepherds of Christ prayers. Your world will be lighted with great light as the people of this earth pray these prayers.

My promise is this to you My beloved earth: When you give your heart to Me and spread the devotion to My Sacred Heart, I will write your name In My Heart. I promise to give the greatest graces when you pray these prayers for renewal of the Church and the world and take all who pray them deeply into My Heart. The prayers I give will bring about the reign of My Sacred Heart and the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart. I am Jesus Christ, this is My message of January 22, 1998, Please circulate this message to your world. I am the Good Shepherd, I know Mine and Mine know Me and they follow Me. Grace My Shepherds, I will give you the greatest graces for spreading these words to this earth and to your Church. I love you, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of Man, it is the Plan of the Father that Prayer Chapters are begun immediately and the Priestly Newsletter is given to all priests. The Voice of the Good Shepherd speaks through it.

Hebrews 6: 10-20

God would not be so unjust as to forget all you have done, the love that you have for his name or the services you have done, and are still doing, for the holy people of God. Our desire is that every one of you should go on showing the same enthusiasm till the ultimate fulfilment of your hope, never growing careless, but taking as your model those who by their faith and perseverance are heirs of the promises.

When God made the promise to Abraham, he swore by his own self, since there was no one greater he could swear by: I will shower blessings on you and give you many descendants. Because of that, Abraham persevered and received fulfilment of the promise. Human beings, of course, swear an oath by something greater than themselves, and between them, confirmation by an oath puts an end to all dispute. In the same way, when God wanted to show the heirs of the promise even more clearly how unalterable his plan was, he conveyed it by an oath so that through two unalterable factors in which God could not be lying, we who have fled to him might have a vigorous encouragement to grasp the hope held out to us. This is the anchor our souls have, reaching right through inside the curtain where Jesus has entered as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest for ever, of the order of Melchizedek.

                R. How do we see ourselves?

Are we in conflict between the world
and what God is calling us to do?

Do we think that if I do something or
belong to something it should straighten
things out in my life and I don't
                have to do anything.

God gives us a free will to choose His
will or oppose His will. We are here to
prepare ourselves for heaven – to grow
in greater perfection – more and more in
                the image of Jesus.

This takes a goal to want to be
like Jesus, to want to change bad
                habits, jealousy, anger, envy, pride,
                gluttony, slothfulness, greed.

This takes a goal to know we are a
                work in progress.

God gives us each other to help us to
                grow in greater perfection.

God gave husbands – wives –
                Children have parents –

We work in families, with friends
trying to grow, to get along.

A person that sees themselves as perfect –
without sin – sees their life as
a time to prove they are right already
they don't need anyone to walk
with or they don't need to change –

They are missing the will of God to
become what He wants us to be –

They can focus their life on proving
                    nothing is wrong with them,
                    they are right, they never
                    do anything wrong – they
                    are perfect and do not
                    need to change –
                    People around them should
                    fit into their picture and
they just do what they want.

1 John 1: 8-10

If we say, ‘We have no sin,’
we are deceiving ourselves,
and truth has no place in us;
if we acknowledge our sins,
he is trustworthy and upright,
so that he will forgive our sins
and will cleanse us from all evil.
If we say, ‘We have never sinned,’
we make him a liar,
and his word has no place in us.

                R. A person that has as their goal –
God's will – knows they are a work
                    in progress –
they are seeking to grow in the
                    spiritual life –

God gives us a body and a soul –
the body exists for the soul –
We are to grow in greater faith,
                        hope, love, humility –

The world focuses on the body –

We are to grow in these virtues –

We need greater faith to see the
vision of God for man –

                In January 13th, prayer service
                    Jesus kept talking about
                    praying for greater faith,
                    hope and love –

We see what is around us,
                    but we must also focus
                    on the unseen –

Even our bodies are a mystery –

We see the outside, but what
is inside we don't see –
                    we can use x-rays etc.
                    to see inside, but we
                    don't know everything
                    in there –

Man can spend his time trying
to see if his body, inside,
                    is working very good –
on the outside we see the
                    skin, hair, face, etc. –

What about love in a man's
heart – do we see his
                    humility, his faith –

No we cannot see these things –

Neither can we see pride and
                    anger, jealousy, envy,
                    manipulation –

We can light a candle and see
                    light

                Or we can spread hatred
                    and anger, jealousy
                    and envy by acts that
                    are evil toward others –

God has called us to grow in love –
He knocks on our door –
He sends people to us that
                        are spiritual guides –
He gives us each other to
                        work with and love –

                Yesterday a road, bridge
                    collapsed on I-75
                    in Cincinnati –
                    a construction worker
                    was killed – under
                    tons of cement –

A man that never recognizes he
is put here and has a wounded
                    human nature and tendencies
                    toward the deadly sins
                    and tries to prove -
                He doesn't need anybody –
                He is perfect –
                He is never wrong –
Is closed in on himself –

Is he lighting a candle of love
                    to learn to become more
                    like Jesus?

God gave us confession to tell
                    our sins –

                God gives us the Mass.

                Lord have Mercy
                Christ have Mercy
                Lord have Mercy

We say at the Lamb of God

Lamb of God

Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

                R. We are accountable for our
                    actions –

It is difficult to work with
                    people who don't want
                    to change bad habits and
use tricks to try to force
                    their dysfunction on
                    others and in systems
                    that need order –

God put us here to bring
                    fruit for the kingdom

                To have greater faith –
to see the vision of God
to have love for each other.

Matthew 25: 31-46

The Last Judgement

‘When the Son of man comes in his glory, escorted by all the angels, then he will take his seat on his throne of glory. All nations will be assembled before him and he will separate people one from another as the shepherd separates sheep from goats. He will place the sheep on his right hand and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right hand, "Come, you whom my Father has blessed, take as your heritage the kingdom prepared for you since the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you made me welcome, lacking clothes and you clothed me, sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me." Then the upright will say to him in reply, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and make you welcome, lacking clothes and clothe you? When did we find you sick or in prison and go to see you?" And the King will answer, "In truth I tell you, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me." Then he will say to those on his left hand, "Go away from me, with your curse upon you, to the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you never gave me food, I was thirsty and you never gave me anything to drink, I was a stranger and you never made me welcome, lacking clothes and you never clothed me, sick and in prison and you never visited me." Then it will be their turn to ask, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty, a stranger or lacking clothes, sick or in prison, and did not come to your help?" Then he will answer, "In truth I tell you, in so far as you neglected to do this to one of the least of these, you neglected to do it to me." And they will go away to eternal punishment, and the upright to eternal life.’

Colossians 1: 15-20

Christ is the head of all creation

He is the image of the unseen God,
the first–born of all creation,
for in him were created all things
in heaven and on earth:
everything visible
    and everything invisible,
thrones, ruling forces,
    sovereignties, powers—
all things were created through him
    and for him.
He exists before all things
and in him all things hold together,
and he is the Head of the Body,
that is, the Church.

He is the Beginning,
the first–born from the dead,
so that he should be supreme in every way;
because God wanted all fullness
    to be found in him
and through him
to reconcile all things to him,
everything in heaven
    and everything on earth,
by making peace through his death
    on the cross.

                R. To light a candle –

To bring love to the world

Not be caved-in – in selfish
ways – trying to make others
                    live our
                    dysfunctional ways –

The Church and the World and
                    the individual
                    Christian is in the
                    state of becoming –

                God gives us
                    baptism – a sharing
                    in His life –

God gives us the Bread of
                    Life
                        The Eucharist
                        His Word –

God gives us His grace –

                Faith, Hope and Love are
                    theological virtues –
                    We have to pray for
                    their increase

Jesus is the Way, the truth and
                    the life

                Mary is sinless –

                Our spiritual Mother –

                Queen of Peace

                Mother at Our Side –

                God intends us to discipline
                    ourselves –
                    Discern the spirits
Make an act of contrition –

The incarnation goes on in us!

We are to life the life,
                    death and resurrection – Christ's
                    mysteries – in our lives

                LOVE

Matthew 22: 36-40

'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'

                R. Are males in the United States acting
                    like Jesus?

                Are father's acting like
                    God the Father - helping
to build the Kingdom of God?

                Mary says –

                    the family that prays
                    together stays together –

                When a person doesn't
                    contribute to the
                    community - the whole
                    body suffers –

Whatever we do that is good,
                    what God wants –
                    helps every body –
                    helps the body –

                We see basketball teams and
                    we know they must be
                    team players to win –

                We live the Pascal
                    Mystery of
                    death/resurrection –
                    We celebrate life each day

Christ came to teach us –

We must die to our ways
                    not like Him and
                    live greater life in
                    Him –

                Life is Dying and Rising
                    in Christ

                In baptism we get a
                    sharing in His
                    Life!

                We get the virtues of
                    faith, hope and love

God gives us the Church –

                The Church is the body
                    of Christ

1 Corinthians 12: 12-31

The analogy of the body

For as with the human body which is a unity although it has many parts -- all the parts of the body, though many, still making up one single body -- so it is with Christ. We were baptised into one body in a single Spirit, Jews as well as Greeks, slaves as well as free men, and we were all given the same Spirit to drink. And indeed the body consists not of one member but of many. If the foot were to say, 'I am not a hand and so I do not belong to the body,' it does not belong to the body any the less for that. Or if the ear were to say, 'I am not an eye, and so I do not belong to the body,' that would not stop its belonging to the body. If the whole body were just an eye, how would there be any hearing? If the whole body were hearing, how would there be any smelling?

As it is, God has put all the separate parts into the body as he chose. If they were all the same part, how could it be a body? As it is, the parts are many but the body is one. The eye cannot say to the hand, 'I have no need of you,' and nor can the head say to the feet, 'I have no need of you.'

What is more, it is precisely the parts of the body that seem to be the weakest which are the indispensable ones. It is the parts of the body which we consider least dignified that we surround with the greatest dignity; and our less presentable parts are given greater presentability which our presentable parts do not need. God has composed the body so that greater dignity is given to the parts which were without it, and so that there may not be disagreements inside the body but each part may be equally concerned for all the others. If one part is hurt, all the parts share its pain. And if one part is honoured, all the parts share its joy.

Now Christ's body is yourselves, each of you with a part to play in the whole. And those whom God has appointed in the Church are, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers; after them, miraculous powers, then gifts of healing, helpful acts, guidance, various kinds of tongues. Are all of them apostles? Or all prophets? Or all teachers? Or all miracle-workers? Do all have the gifts of healing? Do all of them speak in tongues and all interpret them?

The order of importance in spiritual gifts
Hymn to Love

Set you mind on the higher gifts. And now I am going to put before you the best way of all.

                R. The Church teaches us
                    the need for
                    community

                We help others attain
                    eternal life

                How many people put
                    a breakfast together –
                    from the get-go –

God intends us to live our
                    life in friendships
                    with each other –

                A proud person does not
                    grow –

                God resists the proud and
                    gives grace to the
                    humble

Priestly Newsletter Book II - September/October 1997

Scriptural Reflections

In all this Mary offers an example. Selfishness was totally foreign to her. She did not belong to herself. She belonged to God. She was not closed in upon herself. She was completely open to God. When God spoke, she listened. When God pointed the way, she followed. She realized that life is not a process a person masters by carefully mapping out one's own self-conceived plans of conquest, but a mystery to be gradually experienced by being open to God's personal and loving guidance.

Selfishness, then, did not close Mary off from God's call. Neither did fear. God asked her to assume a tremendous responsibility. He asked her to be the Mother of Jesus. Mary did not engage in a process of false humility and say that such a great role was above her. She did not say that she did not have the proper qualifications for this awesome mission. Briefly, she did not waste time looking at herself, making pleas that she was not worthy, telling the angel he had better go look for someone else. No, Mary did not look at herself. Her gaze was absorbed in God. She fully realized that whatever God asked of her, His grace would accomplish. She fully realized that although she herself had to cooperate, this work was much more God's than hers.

Mary's words, then, truly sum up what is the authentic Christian response at any point of life, in any kind of situation: "I am the handmaid of the Lord," said Mary, "let what you have said be done to me".

                R. The more humble you are
                    the stronger you are
                    because you draw
                    your strength from Jesus.

2 Corinthians 12: 9-10

but he has answered me, ‘My grace is enough for you: for power is at full stretch in weakness.’ It is, then, about my weaknesses that I am happiest of all to boast, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me; and that is why I am glad of weaknesses, insults, constraints, persecutions and distress for Christ’s sake. For it is when I am weak that I am strong.

                R. We can get so tied up in our
                    pride we fail to live
                    our creaturehood
                    under the Creator as
                    we need to –

                Humility helps me see God's
                    gifts to me –
                    I thank God –

                Humility makes me see the
                    wrong in me that
                        needs improvement –

                Humility – realizing our
                    creaturehood – living
                    according to the truth

                Mary did this perfectly –

                She is our spiritual Mother

                Temperance –

                    handle sense pleasures
                    properly –
                    according to God's will
