Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

       

            Morning Offering

    Dear Father,
    I offer up all I do all day united to Jesus
    in the Mass, in the Holy Spirit, through
    the powerful intercession of Mary, our
    spiritual Mother, with all the angels and
    saints, and the souls in purgatory, for
    the priest, the Church, and the world.

Prayer of Love to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

Most Sacred, beautiful Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee.

Dear Father thank you for the precious love You have given me, all the years of my life.

I unite to You, Oh Holy Spirit, fill me with Your light and Your truth.

I see You, Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Your Heart is on fire for me, I love You so much, Jesus.

Dear Immaculate Heart of Mary, my Mother, please give me through your powerful intercession the motherly love I need to be an instrument in this world to answer that call you have asked for, to help the souls that need my prayers.

I offer up my sacrifices united to the Mass for the Grace to pray for the precious souls all over the world that need prayers today because of their hardened hearts, that refuse to turn from the evil they hold onto and live in the way Jesus shows us.

Dear Most Sacred Heart of Jesus I pray for the grace to help me in the Shepherds of Christ to be able to do what I have been called to do in Your Movement.

Please cast the devil into hell away from me and others in this mission, You have called in trying to accomplish what I have been called to do to help reach the souls You died for and to help these souls on this journey to one day go to heaven.

We have been called to love and adore and worship You, my Savior.
Oh Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, You are the Son of God, You are all good and loving, and worthy of my love, please spread Your Blood on me and this mission, You have called me to.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
You are all loving and worthy of my love.I love You with all my heart.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus I consecrate my heart to Your most Sacred Heart.
My heart is overwhelmed in love of Thee.

Most Holy Immaculate Mary, I give you my heart now and ask you to protect me in your pure and Immaculate Heart.

Holy Spirit infuse into my intellect wisdom, knowledge and counsel. Fill me with the vision to see through the eyes of God, to love with the Heart of Jesus and to know and love as You direct me in the Fathers will. Help me to co-operate with this grace to walk in this way in loving conformity to the Father’s will.

Please help the truth to be in me.

Thank You my God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, come and abundantly dwell in me in great oneness.Help me to grow in loving.
Help me to be obedient to God’s will. Help me to be united in oneness with God and others.

Why do we take what we have for granted.

We should thank God for all we have.

God gives us so many gifts.
We don’t want to be like the lepers who were healed and never thanked God.

An attitude of gratitude!!!

It takes 9 months to have a baby.

Advent teaches us to prepare.

At the right time the Messiah came.

God the Father created us and put us here when He wanted us here.

Mother Teresa said: “We must be people of hope. It’s not success that matters to God, but faithfulnes!Never stop trying.“

She said often “Do what you can, do it now and do it well”

“Rejoice always” she wrote: “do not be afraid, Jesus said. Put your hand in his hand and walk with him all the way. Keep the joy of loving Jesus in your heart, and share this joy with all you meet. Amen.”

3rd Sunday of Advent

December 11, 2005

INTRODUCTION – (Isaiah 61, 1–2a. 10–11; I Thessalonians 5, 16–24; John 1, 6–8. 19–28) As the celebration of Christ’s birth draws near, joy is in the air. It’s also reflected in today’s liturgy. The prophet speaking to us in our first reading tells us he was sent to ring glad tidings to the poor, that he rejoices in the Lord, and in God is the joy of his soul. The response, which is almost always from the Book of Psalms, is today taken from St. Luke’s gospel. It is Mary’s hymn of joy which she enthusiastically proclaimed when she visited her cousin Elizabeth after the annunciation. St. Paul in the second reading tells us to rejoice always. His instruction “rejoice” implies that rejoicing is more of a choice in attitude rather than a feeling that spontaneously comes over us. John the Baptist, whom we meet in the gospel, was an austere person, but his message was a joyful one, joyful because the Lord was coming. John was honored to have been chosen by God to point him out and to prepare the people for that coming.

HOMILY – John the Baptist announced the coming of the Lord. And I announce to you the coming of Sister Ann who will make an appeal for the Retirement for Religious at the end of Mass. So I will try to keep my remarks brief.

    Recently I read a book about Mother Theresa and in the spirit of today’s liturgy, a spirit of joy, I would like to make a couple of comments about her. She was once asked if she ever got discouraged. She answered that she is always happy. “Discouragement comes from pride,” she always said. “We must be people of hope. It’s not success that matters to God but faithfulness. Never stop trying.”

    You can imagine she had a lot of problems and cares in her ministry, yet she did not worry about yesterday or tomorrow. She often said, “Do what you can, do it now and do it well.” People of all walks of life, of every social standing and position went to her. She always gave them what she referred to as her business card. It was one of the most profound, yet simple, statements of the spiritual life I have ever come across. It said: “The fruit of silence is prayer. The fruit of prayer is faith. The fruit of faith is love. The fruit of love is service. And the fruit of service is peace.” Have you got my business card she would ask. First of all she gave God her time, then she gave people her time, her faith and her tender charity and all went away from her with hope.

    In a letter she wrote to a member of her community, we hear echoes of St. Paul who told us in today’s second reading, “Rejoice always.” She wrote, “Do not be afraid, Jesus said. Put your hand in his hand and walk with him all the way. Keep the joy of loving Jesus in your heart, and share this joy with all you meet.” Amen.

   

Everyone has a unique contribution to make to the Cause of Christ!!

Don’t waste precious time.

Move ahead in enthusiasm.

In love we die to our selfishness more and more, as we unite with God and others, we become more selfless, but united in love with God and others in greater unity.

Jesus emptied Himself for love.

A Few Thoughts

In the image of Jesus, our calling from God.

Jesus truly gave a pound of His flesh in suffering for our sins.

We can say: Think about “me”,
‘You don’t do enough,’. You don’t understand -

Who can understand unloving ways toward one another?
Jesus gave the last drop of His Blood, the last beat of His Heart, so we can be forgiven for our sins.

Jesus gave a pound of His body to pay for our offenses to God for being unloving, when God created us in love, in the image of Jesus, to love!!!

Jesus wants us eternally with Him in heaven.
Jesus emptied Himself to pay for our sins.
What we do to others, we do to Jesus.

How we forgive others, is how we will be forgiven.

God is light, so we will give in love, see with the light of 7 suns, help build the Kingdom of love on earth.

Love is giving for the good of the other.

Love is seeing through the eyes of love.

Love in unity and recognizing the dignity of all men, uniquely created by God for a purpose.

Jesus came with a kind and generous Heart.
Jesus came to save us from our sins.

Jesus is the Son of God.
And the Father said at the Transfiguration “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, listen to Him.”

Listen to Jesus!!
We hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, we follow Him.
We say at Mass “through Him, with Him, in Him.”

We live the Christ-life our calling in Baptism.

We put on Christ to love and treat our brothers as we would treat Jesus.

We are on the stage of life.
The part we were given by God the Father is to be more and more in the image of Jesus!
To love more and more like Jesus.
To be kind and generous, like Jesus.
To forgive and have mercy, likened to Jesus.

And to those who follow Jesus, the Father says: “This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased!!”
Why? Because we lived the Christ-life, more and more like Jesus.

Walking in Christ!
Rooted in Christ!
Built upon Christ!

Christ who lived the quiet life with Mary for 30 years!!!

The Sorrowful Mother

R. Mary stood beneath the cross of her
Son Jesus.

We all go through life in sorrows and
joys as we live with those we love and
then watch those we love die.

Mary tells us, as our spiritual Mother,
about what is truth and most important.

Mary saw Jesus suffer and die for our
sins so some day we could be with Him
forever in heaven.

We know when we love someone how
hard it is to be separated from them in
death.

Mary tells us, the truth in apparitions,
some souls will be lost despite Jesus’
love and suffering for them.

Mary gives us this prayer to pray 5
times in the rosary:”
Oh my Jesus forgive us our sins, save
us from the fires of hell, lead all souls
to heaven, especially those in most
need of thy mercy.”

John 3:16

For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him 
    may not perish
but may have eternal life.

Pray the Rosary, ask Mary to take us to the Heart of Jesus,
and place us in the Heart of Jesus.

Mary gives us the most important message.
“Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.”

Mary watched her Son, Jesus die for us because He wants us to go to heaven - someday, our true home!

Most Sorrowful Mother Mary, I love you so much, please take me to your heart, please intercede for the precious souls, Jesus died for, especially those in most need of His mercy.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee.

Novena to St. Joseph, Patron and Father

Dear Saint Joseph,

I turn to you, you who cared and
protected the child Jesus and the
Virgin Mary.
You taught men and women, the
love of God by your example in life,
and by your faithfulness of living
your calling in greatest commitment
and love.

You loved Mary and Jesus with the
most gentle, bonds of love.

You showed us how you
lived in loving conformity to the
Heavenly Father's will.

You guided Jesus and Mary's precious
lives with the Holy Spirit, Spouse of
the Virgin Mother of God.

Protect us and our family this day and
every day of our lives, like
you did the Holy Family of Nazareth.
We seek your powerful intercession.

How intimately you knew and loved
Jesus and Mary. You were so close to
them. You showed us love.

Your heart was pure and gentle and
yet you were strong in being their
manly protector on earth, intercede
for us to depend more and more on
God for all our needs, for when we
are weak we are strong in God.

St. Joseph please intercede for a

Help me, dear Holy Spirit to know the loving
embrace of God all the days of my life.

When I find doing God's desire for my life
difficult give me the gift of fortitude, dear
Holy Spirit.
Sanctify my heart to act purely for the
honor and glory of God.
I may be willing, but I need Your gift to
give me courage to act as You desire.
Help me to know and love the heavenly
Father's will for me and to do it in love
for the honor and glory of God.

Help me to always put God first in my life,
in love for God in my heart.

persevere in my life until I rest with Thee

Please Holy Spirit give me the gift of fear

that of purity in pleasing the Heavenly
Father, in my offering united to Jesus in

of piety to do that which pleases my Heavenly
Father with the tenderness as His little child.
Thank you God for all You give to me.
I pray this "All for the honor and Glory of
God". Amen.
 

Matthew 22: 36-40

'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'

Dear Holy Spirit, strengthen our will and
move like a Divine breath in our soul, to
be docile sons and daughters of our
Heavenly Father. Amen.

Prayer for Sick and Caregivers at Home

R. Dear God,
I pray Heavenly Father with all my heart,
in the Name of Jesus, united to the Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass, in the Holy Spirit,
with all the angels and saints and souls
in purgatory, through the powerful
intercession of Our Lady of Clearwater
to come to my aid now.

My loved one is very sick and he (she)
needs your help, God.
Outpour Your grace for me in this time
of need to have patience and wisdom to
deal with this now.

I give this sickness up to You, my God.
Please help me in dealing with this and
helping them in doing the right thing
and dealing with this.

I surrender this problem to You, my
Divine God.

Please send Your angels to help me.
Spread us all with the Precious Blood of
Jesus, cast the devil into the fires of hell,
dear Holy Spirit come to my aid.

I consecrate my home, ourselves to the
Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate
Heart of Mary, Thank You.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus I place my
trust in Thee.
Child Jesus of Good Health, help us.

Ask your precious Son Jesus to help me

You are the Mother of Jesus. You cared
so lovingly for Him in your life on earth.
You are His most perfect disciple.
Oh Mary, I love you so much, you are my
spiritual Mother.

There are many of my friends I ask you
to pray for, too.
I know your powerful intercession from
the wedding of Cana.
You stood beneath the cross on Calvary,
after you endured the bitter treatment of
your precious Son Jesus.
Oh Mary, you know so well the trials and
pains of life. Help me now, I turn to your
powerful intercession.

You stand by the altar at Mass and intercede
for Grace for us all day long, please never
abandon me, your little child.

Oh Mary I love you so, so much.

Oh Mary you are the Queen of Peace, please
help us in peace in the world, the Churchs,
the family, the work place for all your little
children of the world.
We need your help for peace now, hear our
pleas as we turn to your powerful intercession.

Joyful Mysteries

The Annunciation

1. Luke 1: 26-38

In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the House of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. He went in and said to her, ‘Rejoice, you who enjoy God’s favour! The Lord is with you.’ She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, but the angel said to her, ‘Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God’s favour. Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.’ Mary said to the angel, ‘But how can this come about, since I have no knowledge of man?’ The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for nothing is impossible to God.’ Mary said, ‘You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.’ And the angel left her. 

2. Jesus is our Savior. Jesus is our Redeemer. Jesus is our brother, the Son of God.
3. The Father created us in the image and likeness of Jesus.
4. The Father has a plan for us.
5. We are to live for the cause of Christ.
6. The more we love the world, the more we live as Jesus lived, the more that we can bring the goodness of God to others.
7. Mary was Immaculately conceived to be able to carry the child Jesus.
8. We are to pass over from death to resurrection in this life into living more and more the Christ life.
9. We can bring Christ to others the more we become likened to Christ.
10. We can be enslaved to the things of this world and live selfishly, or we can die to those ways, not like Christ and bring the cause of Christ to the world.

 

The Visitation

1. Luke 1: 39-45

Mary set out at that time and went as quickly as she could into the hill country to a town in Judah. She went into Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth. Now it happened that as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leapt in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. She gave a loud cry and said, ‘Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord? Look, the moment your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb leapt for joy. Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord would be fulfilled.’ 

2. Mary went to visit her cousin Elizabeth.
3. Elizabeth was with child, John the Baptist.
4. John the Baptist was Jesus' cousin.
5. John the Baptist was “A voice crying in the desert, preparing the way for the Lord.”
6. When Mary came to Elizabeth, the babe in Elizabeth’s womb leapt for joy.
7. Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months.
8. Mary said: “My soul doth magnify the Lord.”
9. Mary said: “My spirit rejoice in God, my Savior.”
10. Mary said: “The Mighty One has done great things to me.”

 

The Birth of Jesus

1. Luke 2:1-7

Now it happened that at this time Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be made of the whole inhabited world. This census—the first—took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria, and everyone went to be registered, each to his own town. So Joseph set out from the town of Nazareth in Galilee for Judaea, to David’s town called Bethlehem, since he was of David’s House and line, in order to be registered together with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. Now it happened that, while they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to a son, her first–born. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the living–space. 

2. Jesus was born in poverty in a stable in Bethlehem.
3. Jesus came a little baby, very approachable.
4. Jesus came our loving Savior.
5. Jesus is the Light of the world.
6. Jesus lived the Pascal mystery
7. Jesus' entire life was centered in His death and resurrection.
8. Jesus' whole life on earth was always in the process of experiencing transition.
9. He was always in a process of passing over, passing back to the Father.
10. That new life was the life of Resurrection.

 

The Presentation in the Temple

1. Luke 2: 21-24

When the eighth day came and the child was to be circumcised, they gave him the name Jesus, the name the angel had given him before his conception. And when the day came for them to be purified in keeping with the Law of Moses, they took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord—observing what is written in the Law of the Lord: Every first–born male must be consecrated to the Lord—and also to offer in sacrifice, in accordance with what is prescribed in the Law of the Lord, a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.

2. Prayer is love.
3. Prayer helps us to meditate on the mystery of Jesus and Mary’s lives.
4. We see the death/resurrection in this mystery.
5. Mary and Joseph took baby Jesus to the temple and Simeon prophesied of sufferings to come.
6. Mary’s heart was so filled with joy holding the baby Jesus as she came, and then Simeon told her of sufferings.
7. Death / Resurrection.

8.Sing: Little Baby Hands in Feet

9. A sword too will pierce your heart oh Mary.
10. Prayer is love and prayer is rooted in life.

 

The Finding of Jesus in the Temple

1. Luke 2: 41-52

Every year his parents used to go to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. When he was twelve years old, they went up for the feast as usual. When the days of the feast were over and they set off home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without his parents knowing it. They assumed he was somewhere in the party, and it was only after a day’s journey that they went to look for him among their relations and acquaintances. When they failed to find him they went back to Jerusalem looking for him everywhere. 

   It happened that, three days later, they found him in the Temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions; and all those who heard him were astounded at his intelligence and his replies. They were overcome when they saw him, and his mother said to him, ‘My child, why have you done this to us? See how worried your father and I have been, looking for you.’ He replied, ‘Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?’ But they did not understand what he meant. He went down with them then and came to Nazareth and lived under their authority. His mother stored up all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom, in stature, and in favour with God and with people.

2. Jesus was lost in the temple and Mary and Joseph were anxious.
3. Jesus was lost for three days.
4. Mary and Joseph thought of Jesus as a little boy of 12.
5. Jesus is the Son of God.
6. Jesus was always obedient to His Father.
7. Jesus lived the Father's will.
8. Jesus said: He was about His Father's business.
9. They did not understand.
10. Jesus was doing what His Father wanted.
