Mysteries of Light

Baptism of the Lord

1. Jesus is the New Adam.

2. God can give us very special
        grace from meditating on these
        Mysteries of Light.

3. There are three Persons in one God.

4. Study the picture at the beginning
        of these meditations.

5. We see Jesus, we see a dove
        above Jesus, which is telling
        us to think about the Holy Spirit.
        We know in this mystery, the
        voice of the Father was heard
        saying

This is My Beloved Son, in 
    whom I am well pleased.

6. From meditating on these mysteries
        of light, I feel I am getting
        special grace to know each
        Person of the Trinity more deeply.

7. In every moment I live, I have
        this deep relationship with the
        Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

8. Since the Holy Father gave us
        the direction to meditate on
        these mysteries my deep love
        for each Person of the
        Trinity has increased.

9. I know each Person Father,
        Son and Holy Spirit so
        deeply and love Them so
        very much.

10. God is with us. He has given
        us the Holy Father to guide
        us. God works through 
        those He puts over us.
      God wants us to have structure
        and to obey those over us who
        are living the way God wants
        them to live.

 

Marriage at Cana

1. God has given us the sacrament of marriage.

2. Jesus performed His first miracle
        at the marriage at Cana.

3. God calls people to different
        vocations in life.

4. Religious are called to a very
        special relationship with Christ
        through the vow of celibacy.

5. Through their sacrifice, Religious
        can help make reparation to God
        for the sins of the flesh in the world.

6. At the marriage at Cana, Jesus showed
        his support for community life.

7. At the marriage at Cana, Jesus
        shows us that we can ask Mary
        our Mother to intercede for us.

8. At the marriage feast at Cana Jesus
        changed water into wine at Mary's
        request.

9. Mary shows her faith, that she believed
        Jesus would handle the situation
        at her request.

10. We pray through the powerful
        intercession of Mary our Mother.     

Kingdom of God

1.  Luke 17: 20-25

Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was to come, he gave them this answer, ‘The coming of the kingdom of God does not admit of observation and there will be no one to say, "Look, it is here! Look, it is there!" For look, the kingdom of God is among you.’

He said to the disciples, ‘A time will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of man and will not see it. They will say to you, "Look, it is there!" or, "Look, it is here!" Make no move; do not set off in pursuit; for as the lightning flashing from one part of heaven lights up the other, so will be the Son of man when his Day comes. But first he is destined to suffer grievously and be rejected by this generation.

2. One of Fr. Carter's favorite scriptures was

Matthew 7:21

‘It is not anyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," who will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but the person who does the will of my Father in heaven.
       

3. Fr. Carter spent His whole life
        learning about the spiritual life,
        writing about it as a holy priest
        of the Church and learning how
        to love his brothers more deeply. 
        This helped us in the Movement 
        to learn from all his direction
        how to love God and one
        another more perfectly.

4. We are building the Kingdom
        of God by how we love God,
        love one another and try to
        serve God by doing His will.

5. In many situations we can settle
        something selfishly or settle it
        in a way of love to help build
        God's kingdom.

6. Disobeying God's law is not being loving.

7. Parents need to discipline their 
        children in love and help build
        the Kingdom, by helping them
        grow into loving persons.

8.  We are sinners, we try to do what
        God wants, those in authority
        do what they do lovingly to
        build the Kingdom.

9.  Jesus obeyed His Father -- He
        shows us how to be obedient 
        and He loved those under Him
        so much He gave his life for them.

10. We must do what we know God 
        wants of us in a loving way.
        It isn't loving to not do God's will.

    

 

   

 

Transfiguration

1. The bread and wine is changed
        into the Body and Blood of
        Jesus at Mass.

2. God can give us a grace to help
        change our hearts.

3. God wants us to cooperate with
        the special graces He gives us.

4. Jesus took Peter, James and John
        up the mountain.

5. Jesus was transfigured before them.

6. God gives us Himself in the Holy Eucharist.

7. We can not imagine how beautiful
        our own graced soul is when
        we are in the state of grace.

8. Jesus wants our souls to be full of light
        and radiant with His grace.

9. God gives us the gift of baptism.

10. God offers us a special sharing in His life.

The Last Supper

1. Luke 22:19-20

Then he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ He did the same with the cup after supper, and said, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood poured out for you.

2. God has given the priests the
        power to change the bread and
        wine into the Body and Blood
        of Jesus.

3. Our priests today are being
        persecuted.

4. In parts of the world where priests
        are trying to spread Christianity 
        they are being persecuted.

        5. We do not know in many places
                of the world how very hard it can
                be for our priests in some areas
                where people don't believe that Jesus
                is the Son of God and priests are
                persecuted for teaching the truth.

6. The Eucharist is such a gift.

7. The devil doesn't want us to know
        how powerful the Eucharist is.  

8.  The priests is a gift from God
        and the devil wants to do
        all he can to stop them.

9.  The Mass is so important to us.

10. The priest is so important to us.
        Jesus gave Fr. Carter this 
        Movement — Shepherds of Christ
        to pray for the priests, the
        Church and the world.

      These are the prayers Jesus
        told Fr. Carter to pray
        in the Prayer Manual —
