Messenger:            Jesus told me to put on this scripture.

1 Corinthians 7: 25-35

About people remaining virgin, I have no directions from the Lord, but I give my own opinion as a person who has been granted the Lord’s mercy to be faithful. Well then, because of the stress which is weighing upon us, the right thing seems to be this: it is good for people to stay as they are. If you are joined to a wife, do not seek to be released; if you are freed of a wife, do not look for a wife. However, if you do get married, that is not a sin, and it is not sinful for a virgin to enter upon marriage. But such people will have the hardships consequent on human nature, and I would like you to be without that.

What I mean, brothers, is that the time has become limited, and from now on, those who have spouses should live as though they had none; and those who mourn as though they were not mourning; those who enjoy life as though they did not enjoy it; those who have been buying property as though they had no possessions; and those who are involved with the world as though they were people not engrossed in it. Because this world as we know it is passing away.

I should like you to have your minds free from all worry. The unmarried man gives his mind to the Lord’s affairs and to how he can please the Lord; but the man who is married gives his mind to the affairs of this world and to how he can please his wife, and he is divided in mind. So, too, the unmarried woman, and the virgin, gives her mind to the Lord’s affairs and to being holy in body and spirit; but the married woman gives her mind to the affairs of this world and to how she can please her husband. I am saying this only to help you, not to put a bridle on you, but so that everything is as it should be, and you are able to give your undivided attention to the Lord.

Mark 3: 31-35

Now his mother and his brothers arrived and, standing outside, sent in a message asking for him. A crowd was sitting round him at the time the message was passed to him, ‘Look, your mother and brothers and sisters are outside asking for you.’ He replied, ‘Who are my mother and my brothers?’ And looking at those sitting in a circle round him, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers. Anyone who does the will of God, that person is my brother and sister and mother.’

November 14, 2003 message continues

Messenger:            I boast of knowing the Lord for He is

                            my delight.

Jesus speaks:        Don't proclaim to be holy, then show

                            hatred toward your brother.

Matthew 18: 5-7

‘Anyone who welcomes one little child like this in my name welcomes me. But anyone who is the downfall of one of these little ones who have faith in me would be better drowned in the depths of the sea with a great millstone round his neck. Alas for the world that there should be such causes of falling! Causes of falling indeed there must be, but alas for anyone who provides them!

November 14, 2003 message continues

Jesus speaks:         I am your judge and I judge justly.

The holy man is one who loves God with his

whole heart and whole soul and loves his

                            neighbor as himself.

If I call you to love, why do you not

                            love, but act hatefully.

A man gave his neighbors directions

on how to be holy and how to love, but

he himself acted hatefully to his wife

and children and some others. He went

to Church to worship but was so unkind

                            at home.

Why do you act hatefully in your

                            speech and manners especially toward

your family and those closest to you?

Hate comes in many forms. One who

asks for things may not have a right to

them and you don't have to give your

possessions to everyone who asks, this

                            is not love.

Love is doing the will of God. Love

can be difficult if one wants your

car and they have no right to it,

you tell them no, but if you know

your neighbor is cold and without a coat

and you have ten coats you would be

very selfish to hoard them all for yourself.

First to thine own self be true, tell

the truth, do not lie to yourself.

Speak as I desire you to speak, be

                            silent in some situations.

Silence is needed for some things.

A man went to Church daily and told

others how faithful he was about his

prayers, but he was unloving to others.

Oh My people pray to do God's will

every day. Pray and be loving. Do

not give into people if you know

that it is God's will you do something

                            else.

The mark is to be loving.

                                Holiness comes from being loving.

Do not give into satan who wants you

to think ill thoughts toward others in

                            your head.

I was crowned with a crown of thorns

and My head bled for all the sins

of the flesh, how many today give

into the pornography on the newsstands

and in the movies. What are you doing

                            that is against the commandments?

Do you love God above all things?

Do you examine your conscience, are

you sorry when you sin? Do you

ask for forgiveness for your sins?

Proverbs 31: 10-13, 19-20, 30-31

Aleph
The truly capable woman—who can find her? She is far beyond the price of pearls.

Bet
Her husband’s heart has confidence in her, from her he will derive no little profit.

Gimel
Advantage and not hurt she brings him all the days of her life.

Dalet
She selects wool and flax, she does her work with eager hands.

Yod
She sets her hands to the distaff, her fingers grasp the spindle.

Kaph
She holds out her hands to the poor, she opens her arms to the needy

Shin
Charm is deceitful, and beauty empty; the woman who fears Yahweh is the one to praise.

Taw
Give her a share in what her hands have worked for, and let her works tell her praises at the city gates.

Luke 16: 9-15

‘And so I tell you this: use money, tainted as it is, to win you friends, and thus make sure that when it fails you, they will welcome you into eternal dwellings. Anyone who is trustworthy in little things is trustworthy in great; anyone who is dishonest in little things is dishonest in great. If then you are not trustworthy with money, that tainted thing, who will trust you with genuine riches? And if you are not trustworthy with what is not yours, who will give you what is your very own?

‘No servant can be the slave of two masters: he will either hate the first and love the second, or be attached to the first and despise the second. You cannot be the slave both of God and of money.’

The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and jeered at him. He said to them, ‘You are the very ones who pass yourselves off as upright in people’s sight, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed in human eyes is loathsome in the sight of God.
