We are the bride of Christ

Jesus describes His bride in Proverbs

Proverbs 31: 10-13, 19-20, 30-31

Aleph   The truly capable woman—who can find her?
She is far beyond the price of pearls.

Bet       Her husband’s heart has confidence in her,
from her he will derive no little profit.

Gimel   Advantage and not hurt she brings him
all the days of her life.

Dalet    She selects wool and flax,
she does her work with eager hands.

Yod       She sets her hands to the distaff,
                her fingers grasp the spindle.

Kaph    She holds out her hands to the poor,
she opens her arms to the needy.

Shin      Charm is deceitful, and beauty empty;
the woman who fears Yahweh is the one to praise.

Taw       Give her a share in what her hands have worked for,
and let her works tell her praises at the city gates.

Religious are the special brides of Christ

Psalm 128: 1-5

How blessed are all who fear Yahweh,
    who walk in his ways!

Your own labours will yield you a living,
happy and prosperous will you be.
Your wife a fruitful vine
in the inner places of your house.
Your children round your table
like shoots of an olive tree.

Such are the blessings that fall
    on those who fear Yahweh.
May Yahweh bless you from Zion!
May you see Jerusalem prosper
all the days of your life,
and live to see your children’s children!

Peace to Israel!

                We come to the Feast

like olive plants around His table

He feeds us, the beloved, with His Body and Blood

Such an intimate union with the Divine Almighty God

We eat His Body and drink His Blood

In going to the Eucharist we unite most deeply to the Bridegroom of our soul

God wants us to bear fruit for the Kingdom

In feasting at the table of the Lord
we are ready to bring His special love to the children of the Church and the world

Our role in the Shepherds of Christ is to help bring about the Reign of the Sacred Heart
and the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart

This is the second last Sunday of the Liturgical Year Cycle A

Next Sunday is the Feast of Christ the King

Our mission in the Shepherds of Christ is to help bring about this era of peace
culminating in the reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart

Let us pray as Jesus taught us to pray in the Our Father

Our Father

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. * Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

                Nuptials   Nuptials

Revelation 21: 1-2

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband.

To me the reading from the Book of Proverbs and the Psalm
should be read by the religious every day and the priest of
how God intends them to live out their vocation as His bride
and to teach the mystical Body of Christ to live united to Christ
                    the Bridegroom of their souls.

Holy Spirit where we are blind enlighten us to see the Word of God
as instructions for the journey that we have here
until He takes us to our true home in heaven.

The old testament to me prefigures how the religious are to be as the bride of Christ attentive to their bridegroom, in the new testament reading Christ
comes and they are in labor.

The Thessalonian reading talks about God coming to us —
we know not the time nor the hour that He will come and call us to go home.

                As a woman in labor

we should be laboring to be ready to meet the Bridegroom
building His Kingdom as a faithful spouse of the Divine Bridegroom
and loving the souls He gave His life for.

1 Thessalonians 5: 1-4

About times and dates, brothers, there is no need to write to you for you are well aware in any case that the Day of the Lord is going to come like a thief in the night. It is when people are saying, ‘How quiet and peaceful it is’ that sudden destruction falls on them, as suddenly as labour pains come on a pregnant woman; and there is no escape.

But you, brothers, do not live in the dark, that the Day should take you unawares like a thief.

Bringing forth fruit for the Kingdom

Even the Alleluia verse is telling us about bringing forth fruit for the Kingdom

A woman in labor is to bring forth fruit from her womb

Jesus is the fruit of Mary's womb

The incarnation goes on in us

as we go to the spiritual womb of Mary (her Immaculate Heart) the Holy Spirit works on us to be children of the light.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. * Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

In the Thessalonians writing we see reference to the children of light and the children of darkness.

The soul that lives most intimately that relationship with Jesus the Bridegroom of the soul and dwelling in the Immaculate Heart of Mary (her spiritual womb) is one that lives as a child of light in the world

The one that fails to prepare in this journey in their lives for the heavenly reward, not realizing as they should the great opportunity to be the spouse of Christ can allow themselves to be maraudered by the pleasures of this earth into a life of decadence in which they become the children of the darkness.

All sin damages our relationship in varying degrees with Jesus, ourselves, and others.

Religious are to, indeed, teach the world to live out their spousal relationship with Jesus.

The letters of love Jesus gave in the Blue Books were to help the souls to know and love Him most intimately.

As it says in St. Paul

Galatians 2: 19-20

...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

Mary appearing in Clearwater appeared as Our Lady of Clearwater in rainbow color looking like Our Lady of Guadalupe.

We usually think of Our Lady of Guadalupe as pregnant.

The more we go to Mary's Immaculate Heart (her spiritual womb) the more we are brought forth children of the light as the Holy Spirit enlightens us to do God's will.

                Christ the First Fruits

1 Corinthians 15: 20-28

In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first–fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first–fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

We are to bring forth fruit from our journey here below helping the children of the Church and the world to be children of the light.

This is our mission in the Shepherds of Christ.

The Gospel talks about the journey

It talks about the men receiving talents and are called by God to respond, to be instruments in the world, that will help lead others to be as God wants them to be.

The one who receives 5 talents responds as the Master desires

The one who receives 2 talents responds as the Master desires

The one who receives the 1 is a lazy servant.

When one is pregnant they bring forth fruit or are supposed to

The servant receiving one talent did not act as the bride of Christ, bringing forth fruit for the Kingdom.

Matthew 25: 14-30

‘It is like a man about to go abroad who summoned his servants and entrusted his property to them. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to a third one, each in proportion to his ability. Then he set out on his journey. The man who had received the five talents promptly went and traded with them and made five more. The man who had received two made two more in the same way. But the man who had received one went off and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.  Now a long time afterwards, the master of those servants came back and went through his accounts with them. The man who had received the five talents came forward bringing five more. “Sir,” he said, “you entrusted me with five talents; here are five more that I have made.” His master said to him, “Well done, good and trustworthy servant; you have shown you are trustworthy in small things; I will trust you with greater; come and join in your master’s happiness.” Next the man with the two talents came forward. “Sir,” he said, “you entrusted me with two talents; here are two more that I have made.” His master said to him, “Well done, good and trustworthy servant; you have shown you are trustworthy in small things; I will trust you with greater; come and join in your master’s happiness.” Last came forward the man who had the single talent. “Sir,” said he, “I had heard you were a hard man, reaping where you had not sown and gathering where you had not scattered; so I was afraid, and I went off and hid your talent in the ground. Here it is; it was yours, you have it back.” But his master answered him, “You wicked and lazy servant! So you knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered? Well then, you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have got my money back with interest.  So now, take the talent from him and give it to the man who has the ten talents.  For to everyone who has will be given more, and he will have more than enough; but anyone who has not, will be deprived even of what he has. As for this good–for–nothing servant, throw him into the darkness outside, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.”

When we go to confession we can look at the little things, little acts that we may do that offend others

But what about our failure to use the talents God has given for helping to build the Kingdom of God and the Church and the world

Do we ask ourselves about the things we have failed to do?

How pure are our hearts that they can bring this light to the world?

How pure are our hearts that they can be like the wife in the writing of Proverbs, so attuned to her bridegroom and pleasing Him and being at the city gate?

                Look at Revelation 21

Do we see the Bride coming down from heaven
                adorned to meet her Bridegroom
would the bride not spare anything for Him, the Divine Bridegroom.
Her life is so centered in being one with Him and living for His holy purpose bringing forth fruit for the Kingdom, bringing light into the world,
bearing children for the Church, children of light, molded more and more in His image and likeness.

The "Bail-out" according to the Mother of God, Mother of the Church, Mother of the children of this world
per her request at Fatima are:
                    1) the rosary
                    2) by the message of the angel of Portugal especially — the Eucharist
                    3) consecration (devotion) to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary

When praying the rosary the Holy Spirit works with Mary enlightening the soul regarding the mysteries of Jesus and Mary's life, the mysteries of God's love, the love of the Trinity — Mary is the Queen of Peace, God has entrusted the peace of the world to her, God has sent her as a messenger to this world
and we ignore her — she brings the "bail-out"

We can see the uniqueness of each individual, the grand design of the Father, giving to each one of us the talents that only we have, that can make up the
grand tapestry of helping to lead the souls Jesus died for, to heaven forever.
it is in accordance to the Father's will that we are happiest and that we are soldiers of the light.

                City of God

                Bride of Christ

Proverbs 30: 30-31

Shin      Charm is deceitful, and beauty empty;
the woman who fears Yahweh is the one to praise.

Taw       Give her a share in what her hands have worked for,
and let her works tell her praises at the city gates.

                Fruit of the womb

Revelation 21: 1-2

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband.

When elderly were asked when dying what they regretted the most was not what they did with their money but, how they had neglected their relationships, with God and with others

                Heaven is relationship.

We are to prepare ourselves for relationship in heaven.

These readings in today's scripture are especially pertinent to those in religious life that will be held accountable for teaching others in the world about holiness and their relationship with God and others.

When Jesus died on the cross, He showed us the selflessness of His act of giving Himself in such love for men.

Dear Holy Spirit move in us to be other focused to live as the spouse of Christ, the bride at the city gate that is known for loving her Husband and being a real witness to teaching others about love, unity, light, order.

The old testament I feel prefigures the new testament that the Proverbs writing is telling us about spousalship with Jesus

The new testament writing of Thessalonians is telling us about the woman in labor, the Bridegroom comes to take us home — we are called to give an accounting of our lives, a journey on this earth ended

We walked as children of light or children of darkness
Being faithful to our spouse or unfaithful
in the mission of building up the Kingdom of God or not.

                The rule of the religious
to live most fully as the bride of Christ
to teach the children of the Church about this relationship

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Banquet of the Lord
the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present
uniting with Mary under the cross
Mary the most perfect spouse of the Lamb

John 19: 25-27

Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. Seeing his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing near her, Jesus said to his mother, ‘Woman, this is your son.’ Then to the disciple he said, ‘This is your mother.’ And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

Mary's Message from the Rosary of August 27, 1996Sorrowful Mother

Mary speaks: I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

Every moment of our lives, in being so one with God in our spousal relationship helping in the work of redemption for Jesus died for the souls
but He wants me to live united to the Mass at every moment praying for the priests, the Church and the world

                "Bail-out" "Bail-out"

Being the bride of Christ we live to please Him

                He wants souls for heaven

                He died for them

Religious, Religious, Priests — see through the eyes of Christ

Quit looking at your "belly buttons"

Quit looking at the mud pies

Reach to the heights of heaven

Live to help the souls reach upward

Not to drag them down to the imperfect places where so many are frozen in their lives, not changing more and more in the image and likeness of Jesus as they should

                "Bail-out" "Bail-out"

Mary said at Fatima we must "convert"

                Put on your white robes

Our country is stained with streaks of the blood of babies — an agony in the garden

Jesus sweat blood for these souls

How are you responding to your vocation as the bride of Christ?

How do they see you at the gate of the city as the bride of Jesus?

Are you furthering the Kingdom of God?

In the Gospel God is referred to as the Master — the one giving the talents

The Master means He's in charge

                Don't be a lazy servant

We are called to be the spouse of the Lamb

A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

God comes to take the bride home

1 Thessalonians 5: 2-3

for you are well aware in any case that the Day of the Lord is going to come like a thief in the night. It is when people are saying, ‘How quiet and peaceful it is’ that sudden destruction falls on them, as suddenly as labour pains come on a pregnant woman; and there is no escape.

                Children of light

                bearing fruit

1 Thessalonians 5: 4-6

But you, brothers, do not live in the dark, that the Day should take you unawares like a thief. No, you are all children of light and children of the day: we do not belong to the night or to darkness, so we should not go on sleeping, as everyone else does, but stay wide awake and sober.

John 15: 4a-5b

Remain in me, as I in you.
As a branch cannot bear fruit all by itself,
unless it remains part of the vine,
neither can you unless you remain in me.
I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Whoever remains in me, with me in him,
bears fruit in plenty;
for cut off from me you can do nothing.

To be the Spouse of Christ
serve Him as a faithful wife
                    Religious — especially
teach the people about the spousalship of Jesus

The highest honor to be the spouse of Jesus the Bridegroom of our soul

Jesus is on fire for love of us

Shin      Charm is deceitful, and beauty empty;
the woman who fears Yahweh is the one to praise.

Taw       Give her a share in what her hands have worked for,
and let her works tell her praises at the city gates.

                At the city gates

                The City of God

Revelation 21: 1-2

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband.

A Prayer before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
Let me be a holy sacrifice and unite with God in the sacrament of His greatest love.
I want to be one in Him in this act of love, where He gives Himself to me and I give myself as a sacrifice to Him. Let me be a holy sacrifice as I become one with Him in this my act of greatest love to Him.
Let me unite with Him more, that I may more deeply love Him. May I help make reparation to His adorable Heart and the heart of His Mother, Mary. With greatest love, I offer myself to You and pray that You will accept my sacrifice of greatest love. I give myself to You and unite in Your gift of Yourself to me. Come and possess my soul.
Cleanse me, strengthen me, heal me. Dear Holy Spirit act in the heart of Mary to make me more and more like Jesus.
Father, I offer this my sacrifice, myself united to Jesus in the Holy Spirit to You. Help me to love God more deeply in this act of my greatest love.
Give me the grace to grow in my knowledge, love and service of You and for this to be my greatest participation in the Mass. Give me the greatest graces to love You so deeply in this Mass, You who are so worthy of my love.
