Prayer for Grace for our Country

Dear Father united to Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacrifice of Calvary sacramentally made present, celebrated around the world, in the Holy Spirit. We offer up all we do united to the Mass. We unite in one mind and one heart as members of the mystical body of Christ, with Christ our head in the pure and holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, through the powerful intercession of Mary with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory, and we beg for the saving grace, for our country, the United States. Please help us. We further pray for unity to always do the will of God in love. We spread the Blood of Jesus on the leaders and people of the United States and cast the devil into hell. We consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and all our dioceses, and beg for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God help us. We pray for our families, the priests, the Church and the world. In the Name of Jesus please hear us, we pray. We pray for our president and leaders. We pray that we are united as one nation under God to work together in love as God wants.

1 John 1: 5-2:2

I: TO WALK IN THE LIGHT

This is what we have heard from him and are declaring to you:
God is light,
and there is no darkness in him at all.
If we say that we share in God’s life
while we are living in darkness,
we are lying,
because we are not living the truth.
But if we live in light,
as he is in light,
we have a share in another’s life,
and the blood of Jesus, his Son,
cleanses us from all sin.

If we say, ‘We have no sin,’
we are deceiving ourselves,
and truth has no place in us;
if we acknowledge our sins,
he is trustworthy and upright,
so that he will forgive our sins
and will cleanse us from all evil.
If we say, ‘We have never sinned,’
we make him a liar,
and his word has no place in us.

My children, I am writing this
    to prevent you from sinning;
but if anyone does sin,
we have an advocate with the Father,
Jesus Christ, the upright.
He is the sacrifice to expiate our sins,
and not only ours,
but also those of the whole world.

                R. The Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary, sacramentally made present.

Fr. Carter said, "It's not there
                    is too much suffering in
this world, but so much is
                    wasted.

In a world where every day we
have trials and joys we can
                    say the Morning Offering and
unite all we do to all the
                    Masses going on around the
                    world.

We try to spread this Say Daily
                    card to nursing homes.

                We have short morning offerings

The strength is in being one
                    with Jesus.

                Mary says giving your hearts
to Jesus and Mary in consecration
                    to Their Two Hearts.

Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!

Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.

Sorrowful Mysteries

                The Agony in the Garden

                1. Jesus took Peter, James and John into the
                    Garden.

                2. Jesus saw before Him all
                    the sins of the world,
                    the deepest, darkest sins
                    of men.

                3. Jesus' greatest suffering was
to His Sacred Heart for the souls
                    that He loved so much
                    and gave Himself for
                    and would reject Him
                    with stubborn, hard
                    hearts and sin mortally
                    without admitting their
                    sin or asking for
                    forgiveness.

                4. Bishop Sheen said the sin is
not as bad as the person
                    that refuses to even
                    admit it or ask for
                    forgiveness and stays
                    in that sin.

                5. Jesus is love –
                    He loves us.

                    God the Father, our Father
                    created us to be with
                    Him forever in heaven –
                    Heaven is a reward promised
to those who love and serve
                    the Lord.

                6. The devil tries to manipulates people
                    with his temptations
and lies – He uses their
                    weakness to try to get
                    them to isolate and
                    sin.

                7. The devil wants men to live
                    in bad habits in the
                    deadly sins.

                8. God wants us to live virtuously.
That is in faith, hope, love,
                    humility, temperance,
                    fortitude, justice and
                    prudence.

                9. There are other virtues that
                    can raise men up –
                    kindness, honesty,
                    gratitude, compassion,
                    obedience, integrity,
                    sincerity, diligence,
                    forgiveness, loyalty,
                    respect, honor,
                    self-control.

                10. Jesus: I am the way, the truth
and the life – no one
                    comes to the Father except
                    through Me.

                The Scourging at the Pillar

                1. Jesus was whipped repeatedly
at the pillar, by the men
                    who tore Jesus' back
                    and made Him bleed.

                2. Jesus did this for our sins.
Jesus paid the price for our
                    sins.

                3. Jesus loves us so much He
                    endured this treatment
                    for love of us.

                4. What did Jesus think before
                    they came down with
                    their whips?

                5. He knows all things – in
                    His Divine Knowing
                    He knew all that would
                    happen to Him.

                6. The Mass is the sacrifice
                    of Calvary, sacramentally
                    made present.

                7. We can identify our
                    sufferings with Jesus
                    as the Mass goes on
                    all day.

                8.

                9. Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis AAS. XXXV, 232-233

Through the Eucharistic Sacrifice Christ the Lord desired to set before us in a very special way this remarkable union whereby we are united one with another and with our divine Head, a union that no word of praise can ever sufficiently express. For in this sacrifice the sacred ministers act not only as the representative of our Saviour, but as the representative of the whole Mystical Body and of each one of the faithful.

                10. Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis AAS. XXXV, 232-233

Again, in this act of sacrifice, the faithful of Christ, united by the common bond of devotion and prayer, offer to the eternal Father through the hands of the priest, whose prayer alone has made it present on the altar, the Immaculate Lamb, the most acceptable victim of praise and propitiation for the Church’s universal need. Moreover, just as the divine Redeemer, while dying on the Cross, offered Himself to the eternal Father as Head of the whole human race, so now, ‘in this clean oblation’ He not only offers Himself as Head of the Church to His heavenly Father but in Himself His mystical members as well. He embraces them all, yes, even the weaker and more ailing members, with the deepest love of His Heart.

                The Crowning with Thorns

                1. Jesus is the King of Kings,
                    Lord of Lords.

                2. They mocked Jesus and made
                    Him a crown of thorns
                    and pounded it into
                    His Head.

                3. He knew all that would
                    happen to Him and He
                    said "yes".

                4. Blood came into His eyes
                    and ears and they pounded
                    Jesus on His Head –
                    for the sins of pride,
                    the schemes of malice -
                    tricks of men.

                5. Jesus says what you do
to others, you do to Me.

                6. Jesus: I love you to My death on
                    the cross.

                7. Jesus: In My bitter passion
                    I was comforted by
                    your prayers in these
                    rosaries and your love
                    you give Me in
                    song and prayer in these
                    prayer services.

                8. Jesus: The devil hates the 5th
                    prayers and 13th prayers
                    and tries to block it.

                9. Mary: Souls are going into
                    hell tonight who would not
                    admit their mortal sins
                    and ask for forgiveness.

                10. Mary: Don't block my
                    message –

                The Carrying of the Cross

                1. Jesus carried the cross with
the weight of the sins of
                    the world.

                2. Jesus fell under the cross
                    3 times. They poked
at Him and tried to hurt
Him to get Him to get up.

                3. The cross was so heavy He
                    felt His shoulders would
                    break from its weight.

                4. Simon of Cyrene was forced
to carry the cross with Jesus.

                5. We were called by God to love
                    and help each other when
                    we carry crosses, loses,
                    sickness – We are blessed
                    for loving and helping
                    others, Jesus did it
                    for us.

                6. Cry, oh Mary, I'm
                    sorry for all the tears
                    you shed watching
                    your Son, carry the
                    cross.

                7. Jesus' face was full of blood
                    and an imprint was
                    on Veronica's cloth.

                8. Oh Jesus, I am so sorry for
                    our sins. We love
                    You and thank You for
                    all You suffered for us.

                9. Oh Jesus, You are all good.
                    Dear God the Father, thank
                    You for creating us in
                    the image and likeness of
                    Your Son.

                10. Oh Mary we are sorry –

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light. end of Mary's Message

                The Crucifixion

                1. August 23, 1993 - On His Passion

Jesus: My dear child,

I was condemned to death, death on a cross. They gave Me a big cross and made Me carry it. They stood around and glared at Me. It weighed on My shoulder and I pulled at it until it finally moved. Every step was almost impossible as I dragged it, weighing so heavily on My shoulders.

                2. August 23, 1993 - On His Passion continues

My shoulder felt as if the bones inside would crack and the cross would fall through to the ground. I couldn’t drag it any more. I tried, I fell. I fell and its weight fell on Me. A guard hit Me with something sharp. It really hurt because he wanted Me to move, and fast! People were watching — on with the show! How dare I fall in the middle of the show! He hit Me again and the blow really stung Me. I got up because it hurt so badly. I tried to walk on.

                3. August 23, 1993 - On His Passion continues

My Mother was in the crowd. She looked at Me and her face looked red and hurt. Tears rolled down her cheeks like rain and as her eyes met Mine, I was hurt so by her sorrow! She was always by My side, silent and loving. She was My Mother of love! She is always there next to you when you suffer.

                4. August 23, 1993 - On His Passion continues

I fell again and he (the guard) really hit Me. It (the cross) was so heavy that he and I together could barely move it. It seemed as I walked, heavier with the sins of the world heaped on it. My hands were bleeding. Blood ran from the wounds of My thorns and My head throbbed, seeming to make the wounds in My head bleed even more. Some of the Blood was dried, some of it running all over My Body. I had so many cuts and bruises — and people watched and laughed!

                5. August 23, 1993 - On His Passion continues

I am Jesus, Son of the Living God, and they laughed and mimicked Me! Oh, such hardened hearts! How vile can men’s hearts become? The devil’s grip is paralyzing and crippling.

The walk was so long up a hill and over rocks — the cross had to be lifted over the rocks. My Body was bleeding so badly! My Heart was pounding. I knew that the salvation of all men depended on My love. Therefore, I went through such agony.

                6. August 23, 1993 - On His Passion continues

I thought of My intense love for you — that many would go to heaven because of My suffering — and I continued to the top of the hill. At the top they laid Me on the cross and with a big hammer nailed My hands to it. It was the worst (suffering) yet. My hands were nailed with big nails and the big hammer. Then, as if that weren’t enough, with a big nail they nailed through both feet.

                7. August 23, 1993 - On His Passion continues

Then they lifted the cross and banged it into (a hole in) the ground. My shoulders ached from how I hung. My head bobbed and My neck ached and they laughed and said, "Now save Yourself." I hurt so much! I suffered this way for hours — which seemed like forever — and they glared at Me and laughed! My Mother watched in such agony.

                8. August 23, 1993 - On His Passion continues

For love of you, to My death I gave you My Body. My child, I shed My Blood and gave you My life that you might be with Me forever in heaven — not for a day, a month or a year, but forever with Me in heaven.

                9. August 23, 1993 - On His Passion continues

I am the true Bread come down from heaven. He who eats My Flesh will have life forever. For the drink I give you is My Blood and food you eat is My Body. Who would lay down his life for a friend? I did, for you. I love you this much, child. Forget about those who reject you. You have My life that I gave you and I give you life eternal.

                10. August 23, 1993 - On His Passion continues

I am the One true God. I am the Light of life. He who abides in Me will have life eternal, for the drink I give is My Blood and the food I give is My Body. Drink and eat and have everlasting life.

My child, that is all you need to know. Love one another and be good that you may enter into My Kingdom.

Guiding Light homily series — Reflect on the Word — Cycle B     The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $10

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Litugical Year

Guiding Light homily series — Steadfast to the Son — Cycle A    The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $10

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word

Guiding Light — Focusing on the Word — Cycle B    At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $10

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Litugical Year
$ 10.00

Guiding Light — Feed My Soul — Cycle C    In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $10
