The church needs to have the stucco replaced

and also the community building.

It is about $38,000 to repair it.

People pray in the church 24 hours a day.

We have prayed in there for 11 years.

The archdiocese gave the church to us

for this purpose for a small price.

Can you help us?

Acts 4: 13-21

They were astonished at the fearlessness shown by Peter and John, considering that they were uneducated laymen; and they recognised them as associates of Jesus; but when they saw the man who had been cured standing by their side, they could find no answer. So they ordered them to stand outside while the Sanhedrin had a private discussion. ‘What are we going to do with these men?’ they asked. ‘It is obvious to everybody in Jerusalem that a notable miracle has been worked through them, and we cannot deny it. But to stop the whole thing spreading any further among the people, let us threaten them against ever speaking to anyone in this name again.’

So they called them in and gave them a warning on no account to make statements or to teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John retorted, ‘You must judge whether in God’s eyes it is right to listen to you and not to God. We cannot stop proclaiming what we have seen and heard.’ The court repeated the threats and then released them; they could not think of any way to punish them, since all the people were giving glory to God for what had happened. The man who had been miraculously cured was over forty years old.

Peter and John healed the crippled man —
The people were in awe —

It was God who healed through Peter
                        and John

They told Peter and John - never to
                        mention that man's name
                        again (Jesus)

They were not to teach about Jesus.

The court could not punish them
because of the awe of the people —

We see the courage of Peter and John
                        and remember Peter's timidity
                        when the Lord died.

The Psalm tells us of where our strength
                    comes from

Psalm 118: 1, 14-21

Give thanks to Yahweh for he is good,
for his faithful love endures for ever.

Yahweh is my strength and my song,
he has been my Savior.

Shouts of joy and salvation,
in the tents of the upright,
‘Yahweh’s right hand is triumphant,
Yahweh’s right hand is victorious,
Yahweh’s right hand is triumphant!’

I shall not die, I shall live
to recount the great deeds of Yahweh.
Though Yehweh punished me sternly,
he has not abandoned me to death.

Open for me the gates of saving justice,
I shall go in and thank Yahweh.
This is the gate of Yahweh,
where the upright go in.
I thank you for hearing me,
and making yourself my Saviour.

Mark 16: 9-15

Having risen in the morning on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary of Magdala from whom he had cast out seven devils. She then went to those who had been his companions, and who were mourning and in tears, and told them. But they did not believe her when they heard her say that he was alive and that she had seen him.

After this, he showed himself under another form to two of them as they were on their way into the country. These went back and told the others, who did not believe them either.

Lastly, he showed himself to the Eleven themselves while they were at table. He reproached them for their incredulity and obstinacy, because they had refused to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. And he said to them, ‘Go out to the whole world; proclaim the gospel to all creation.

Mary Magdalene went to tell Jesus'
                    followers —
it says — who were weeping —

But when Mary Magdalene told them —
                    the Gospel shows the disbelief
of the Apostles — it says —
"they (the apostles) refused to believe
                    it"

Later 2 disciples walked with Jesus
and when He revealed to them
                    Himself in the
                    breaking of the bread —

These men, too, announced the good
                    news to the others —
that Jesus appeared and had risen —

but the others didn't believe the
                        2 disciples or
                        Mary Magdalene —

                    LACK of Faith

As they were at table Jesus appeared to
                    the Eleven —

Jesus told them about their disbelief —

Jesus told them to go to the whole world
and spread the good news — to
                    ALL of Creation —

It was hard to believe Jesus rose from
                    the dead —

Just as Jesus was not believed
Many do not believe the Church

Jesus was sinless and still put to death —

The Church is made up of imperfect human
beings who some sin majorly hurting the
                    Church —

But the Church is the earthly continuation
                    of Christ's redemptive Incarnation.

Excerpt from Response in Christ by Fr. Edward Carder, S.J. pp. 18-19

Yet Christ did not reveal the Father and the Father's plan only through word. He also did so through His actions. At times the events of His life were a more eloquent revelation than His words. The crucified Christ, as He hangs in silence upon the cross, speaks volumes to the world concerning the love and mercy of God, the justice of God, and the heinousness of sin. In short, it is the total person of Christ in all His words, actions, gestures – in everything – who reveals the Father to men.1 This revelation of the Father includes within itself God's desire for man's response. For God does not reveal Himself in Christ to man for any empty purpose. God tells us He loves us, that He gives Himself to us in Christ, and that He wants us to respond with a love of our own as we live the way Our Father wants us to live: in Christ, Who is the way, the truth and the life.

God in the Shepherds of Christ has told us to go into
the world and spread the good
                    news.

To live the life of resurrection and
To bring the life of resurrection to others

We must empty ourselves of hate and anger —
Admit the evil defects, habits within us
that block us from being like Jesus —

Empty ourselves of anger that makes our
actions impure when we act out
                    old anger on others —

We are the child of our whole life — we are
to realize that our spontaneity comes from that
little child of the past — we discipline our-
selves and do not give into feelings of
                anger, jealousy, envy, seeking dominance
                for dominance sake —

Little kids in the school yard may play together,
but one waits to be victimized — crying, blaming
                somebody because they don't mix

                    Children must learn
Adults are to work in unity —

Did you ever see a person who has pent
up anger — 50 years and does not live in
                the moment —

We must ask God to help us remove
these defects of character and be people
                living a resurrected life —
We admit our defects, bad habits, we look
inside, we take a fearless inventory and
quit blaming others for our selfish,
                isolated, unsocial, angry ways —

                    We run our boat —

We beg God to remove these defects
of character after we take a fearless
inventory how we hurt others — We make
amends to others (unless making amends would
hurt someone more) We tell God we are
sorry, we go to confession, we admit we
hurt the other we hurt — we don't continue
lying to ourselves and them — We admit
our sins and tell God we are sorry —
with a strong intent to not sin again
                asking for God's help —

Clogged vessels can get packed —
pressed in anger — depriving ourselves of
                giving and receiving love

People with stuffed anger are like this —
                    they keep hiding their anger
                    controlling every one or everyone
around them — lest they get
                    off guard and explode
                    Shaking — holding in

Not communication — they can't control that
                        they may explode

They have the answer before the question
                    to control  things

A person living in the now is

                    SPONTANEOUS ————— NOT CONTROLLED

Did you see a little girl of 4 on the
                    monkey bars

Children grow to be adults —
                    meaning perfect parents may
                    have been demeaning, demanding
                    perfection — selfish —

The adult now plays tapes their mom and dad
told them as a child —

You must control negative - demeaning
                    tapes that mean nothing now

God created us so uniquely special
                    Read the Blue Books
                    Know His love

No person can fix our negative
                        tapes we tell ourselves —
                        We must will to change
                        old demeaning tapes

                Live a life of resurrection

SHEPHERDS OF CHRIST AND FATIMA

In the Shepherds of Christ, we are a family, joined in one heart in Mary and Jesus' Heart because of our consecration to Their Hearts. We are acting as His Heart beating in this world. We are the modern day apostles joined in one heart.

As we give our hearts to Mary, the Holy Spirit gives us lights to know God and we go forth into the world as lights because we love God so much. We cannot know God and not love Him. So our hearts are filled with the burning love of God.

We Are One in Jesus' Heart

The core leaders contact the coordinators. The coordinators contact the individual apostles. All apostles are working for Jesus. They try to spend one hour a day either in front of the tabernacle or at home alone with Jesus. In this hour, Jesus directs them on their life. They share intimate love with Jesus. He teaches them about Himself and the Father's will for them. It is so important to spend an hour of intimacy everyday with Jesus.

We live by Mary's Peace Plan given at Fatima. It is as follows:

  1. Until a sufficient number of people have consecrated their hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, we will not have peace in the world.

  2. Mary has requested all to pray the daily rosary.

  3. We must observe the Five First Saturday devotion:
    - Communion, confession (within 8 days before or after the Saturday), recital of the rosary, meditating for 15 minutes on the mysteries of the rosary. All this is to be done in a spirit of reparation.

  4. We must make reparation to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

His plan centers around this.

We have heads functioning in the individual ministries. Everything we do leads to consecration of hearts. As the apostles press on the three institutions, the Church, family, and school to help spread the consecration, the strayed ones will be led home to His Heart.

Mary said at Fatima, until a sufficient number of people have consecrated their hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, we will not have peace in the world.

The Present Condition of the World

Pictorial representation of of Present Condition of the World

Peace will come when hearts are hearts of love. The scales must shift. It will happen through the consecration. Mary's peace plan: until a sufficient amount of people consecrate their hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, we will not have peace.

The Scale Must Shift

Pictorial representation of shift in Present Condition of the World

The Father looks to the earth; He sees much darkness.

Tree showing much darkness in the world

The Father looks to the earth. There are so many hearts that are not on fire for love of God. The hearts of burning love light up the earth. It is as lights on a Christmas tree. It is sparsely lighted. Therefore, the tree looks dark.

As the Shepherds of Christ Movement spreads (as well as other movements focused on spreading consecration to Their Hearts) the tree is covered with more hearts filled with burning love for Jesus and the earth becomes more lighted.

The tree is covered with hearts consecrated to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. The tree is so bright.

Tree showing hearts consecrated to Jesus and Mary

As the Shepherds of Christ apostles spread the consecration to the Church, the family, and the school, the tree is covered with lights and the earth is covered with the fire of His love.

The Father looks to the earth now. He is displeased with the hearts of men. The Father wants us to love God and love each other. He wants us to live according to His will in love.

Mary appears at Fatima. She tells us that we are offending God. She tells us what we must do. Mary's peace plan:

Mary said there will be an era of peace, in which the Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph.

God gave us Mary as our Mother. We are disobeying our Mother's requests given at Fatima. Do you think the Father is pleased with willful children disobeying their mother?

Man disobeys, the devil blocks the Fatima message. World War II happens just as Mary said.

Jesus writes His message of love on our hearts. His life lives in our hearts. The Scriptures and the Mass live in our hearts.

In the Shepherds of Christ Movement, our focus is on the priest.

Words of Jesus to Members of
Shepherds of Christ Associates:

"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.

"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.

"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."

- Message from Jesus to Father Edward J. Carter, S.J., Founder, as given on July 31, 1994,
feast of Saint Ignatius Loyola, Founder of the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits)

Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus

My dear fellow Associate Members,

Jesus is calling special apostles to join a new division of the Shepherds of Christ Movement. Here is a message from Jesus given to Father Carter:

My beloved priest-companion, I am requesting that a new prayer movement be started under the direction of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. I am asking for volunteers who are willing to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for one hour, twice-weekly. Members of the Shepherds of Christ prayer chapters, as well as others, are to be invited to join this movement.

These apostles are to pray for the intentions I am giving you. For part of the hour they are to use the prayers of the Shepherds of Christ Associates Handbook. They may spend the rest of the hour as they so choose.

I will use this new prayer movement within My Shepherds of Christ Ministries in a powerful way to help in the renewal of My Church and the world. I will give great graces to those who join this movement. The name, Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, is to be given to this movement.

I am inviting My beloved Rita Ring to be coordinator for this activity.

I pour out the great love of My Sacred Heart to all. I am Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.

This is indeed a special calling for us to unite in one heart with His Eucharistic Heart and pray for the following intentions:

  1. For the spread of the devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary culminating in the reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.

  2. For the Pope.

  3. For all bishops of the world.

  4. For all priests.

  5. For all sisters and brothers in the religious life.

  6. For all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, and for the spread of this movement to the world.

  7. For all members of the Catholic Church.

  8. For all members of the human family.

  9. For all souls in purgatory.

84. Thank you for your letter and for the renewed commitment of prayerful support of all of us called to be Shepherds of Christ. I deeply appreciate the commitment that you and those associated with the Shepherds of Christ have made in support of us. Through our Archdiocesan Pastoral Bulletin I will inform priests about this and invite them to consider the formation of prayer groups for this purpose. 9/9/2008 Archbishop USA

85. Thank you for your beautiful letter and accompanying material on the Shepherds of Christ. I read with attention the material enclosed. Fr. Edward Carter, S.J., and yourself were specially set aside by the Holy Spirit to pray for those who serve the various ministries of the Church. Your work has given birth to many graces and spiritual fruit. I am certain that your prayer and counsel have saved many priests from an overly pessimistic evaluation of the present state of the presbyterate in the USA. You began this work in 1993; this was well before the breaking forth of the sexual abuse crisis within the Church in 2002. The strength and consolation that your members are offering to priests through their prayers have been of immense importance in sustaining priests in their ministry. I will continue to pray for the intentions of your association and deepen my own prayer for the life and ministry of priests in the USA and through the world. 9/9/2008 Cardinal Vatican

86. I have received your letter of August 30, 2008 and the enclosed publication "Guiding Light, The Word Alive in Our Hearts." Please know of our gratitude for your evident love of the Church and ministry to priests. May the Lord continue to bless the Shepherds of Christ and to guide those who benefit from it to an ever-deepening spiritual life within the Catholic faith. 9/9/2008 Cardinal Vatican

87. Thank you very much for your letter of August 30, 2008, and for the enclosed prayer card, booklets and books produced by Shepherds of Christ. It was very kind of you to share these materials with me. 9/9/2008 Bishop USA

88. Thank you for sending your kind letter and the Homilies by Rev. Fr. Joe Robinson, I appreciate your work and pray for greater fruits for the priests all over the world. 9/8/2008 Cardinal Japan

89. Thank you for taking the time to explain the Shepherds of Christ Movement. I am so pleased that you have continued the vision of Fr. Carter, S.J. 9/8/2008 Archbishop USA

90. I have recently received three books and other material which you and your collaborators keep publishing as an instrument of prayers for priests and spiritual assistance to priests. Thanks for this donation which I will again hand over to the library of our Theological seminary to be used by professors and seminarians. 9/8/2008 Archbishop Croatia

91. Thank you very much for the book "Guiding Light: The Word Alive in Our Hearts." I will enjoy reading your book in the coming months when everything slows down. I commend you for the good work you are doing for the Church, and pray that the Lord will continue to bless you and your work. Please keep me in your daily prayers, as you are assured of my prayers. 9/8/2008 Bishop USA

92. I have received your kind letter dated August 30, 2008 together with the "Guiding Light", a book of the Homilies by Fr. Robinson. I am very grateful for your kind remembrance of me, particularly in your prayers, I have been at the Shrine of Our Lady of Loreto, and have had a special "memento" of you and of "The Shepherds of Christ Ministries." 9/8/2008 Cardinal Vatican

93. Thank you for the package of books and pamphlets from the Shepherds of Christ Ministries. I will certainly keep your movement in my prayer. 9/5/2008 Bishop USA

94. Thank you for your recent letter to me, dated the 30th August 2008, and also for the accompanying booklet "Guiding Light", consisting of homilies by your brother, Fr. Joe Robinson. I do hope that the material will help many priests throughout the world grow closer to Christ "our great high Priest". 9/5/2008 Cardinal Scotland

95. Thank you for sending me the materials published by the Shepherds of Christ. They are always well-done, although many priests might dismiss them as too "traditional" for their consideration. In your most recent mailing, you include a book of homilies, something that most priests find helpful, no matter what their position might be on various devotions. Homilies aids are often the way into a priest's preoccupations, and I think you might wish to consider other similar materials to bring your ministry to the attention of more priests. Thank you again for including me in your recent mailing. You are in my prayers; please keep me in yours. 9/4/2008 Cardinal USA

96. Thank you for your letter of August 30, 2008. Thank you also for the enclosed materials and the two books Guiding Light: The Word Alive in Our Hearts and Medicine of Immortality. 9/3/2008 Bishop USA

97. I write to acknowledge receipt of your kind letter of June 24th, enclosing a copy of Shepherds of Christ, A Book of Spirituality Newsletter for Priests. While thanking you for the same, I assure you of my prayers. 9/2/2008 Cardinal Vatican

98. Thank you for sending the Mass Book and other material from the Shepherds of Christ Ministries. 8/30/2008 Cardinal Vatican

99. I would like to acknowledge receipt of the documents of June 24, 2008 you were kind enough to send him. With sincere thanks. 8/21/2008 Archbishop Canada

Death  -  Resurrection

Romans 6: 3-11

You cannot have forgotten that all of us, when we were baptised into Christ Jesus, were baptised into his death. So by our baptism into his death we were buried with him, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father's glorious power, we too should begin living a new life. If we have been joined to him by dying a death like his, so we shall be by a resurrection like his; realising that our former self was crucified with him, so that the self which belonged to sin should be destroyed and we should be freed from the slavery of sin. Someone who has died, of course, no longer has to answer for sin.

But we believe that, if we died with Christ, then we shall live with him too. We know that Christ has been raised from the dead and will never die again. Death has no power over him any more. For by dying, he is dead to sin once and for all, and now the life that he lives is life with God. In the same way, you must see yourselves as being dead to sin but alive for God in Christ Jesus.

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

Yes — All the ends of the earth have seen
the power of God.

God has called us to be united as a family in
the Shepherds of Christ.

This is a vocation — to pray deeply for
the priests, the Church and the world and
to help support the Newsletter and the
Ministries.

Remember the image of Our Lady
of Clearwater on the building. We have
very special Fatima statues so you can
have a special place of prayer in your
homes, praying the rosary for your family
and for the priests, the Church and the
world. If you are interested in these
very special Fatima/Clearwater statues
e-mail me with your phone number
and address
info@sofc.org.

     Those using the special statues
will be united to us in a special way —
We want you to pray the Shepherds of
Christ prayers for the priests, the Church
and the world from your special place
in your home.

When people have set up a prayer corner/niche
with this statue, Fatima/Clearwater glass, they have
reported that their families have received special
blessings. With this statue it is important to pray
the prayers in the red prayer manual and consecrate
your home and family to the Sacred Heart and
Immaculate Heart.

Call Sheila or Doris about statues or go to China or
Clearwater.
