It is about $38,000 to repair it.

People pray in the church 24 hours a day.

We have prayed in there for 11 years.

The archdiocese gave the church to us

for this purpose for a small price.

Acts 5: 27-33

When they had brought them in to face the Sanhedrin, the high priest demanded an explanation. 'We gave you a strong warning', he said, 'not to preach in this name, and what have you done? You have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and seem determined to fix the guilt for this man's death on us.' In reply Peter and the apostles said, 'Obedience to God comes before obedience to men; it was the God of our ancestors who raised up Jesus, whom you executed by hanging on a tree. By his own right hand God has now raised him up to be leader and Saviour, to give repentance and forgiveness of sins through him to Israel. We are witnesses to this, we and the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.' This so infuriated them that they wanted to put them to death.

                The proud do not wish their sins be revealed
                They cannot tolerate that anyone may know
                    their weakness —

                They will defend their attitude — they do not
                    budge — their righteousness and control
                    can become their god —

                This is what means the most to them, not
                    forgiveness and truth — saving face —
                    hiding the truth about their part
                    in contributing to the disorder of things —

                Jesus is truth —

                The Father wants us to walk in the truth —
                    to tell our sins —
                    to say we are sorry —
                    to ask to be forgiven —

                Jesus says the self-righteous prideful men
                    defends themselves not their God —
                    they see looking inward to themselves —

                Where a man loving — acts in unity seeing
                    himself as part of a unit —
                    seeing the whole Plan of the Father  and
                    knowing his dependence on God and
                    on others

                The prideful man can rule like a ruler with
                    no concern for those over or under
                    him — he gives as he desires — not more
                    or less — the Plan he sees is his plan to make
                    him dominant for dominance sake and to save
                    his face

                    Where one walks in the footsteps of Jesus —
                one sees he is to follow and not lead —
                he is being taught by God —
                and he is totally dependent on Him —

                Where one is prideful, it is control that dictates
                    his way — what is his plan and how can
                    he protect his disunified ways

                A man following God — follows His rules —
                    He loves God's rules — He loves
                    Obedience — In heaven there is perfect
                    poverty, chastity and obedience —

                A man walks like Jesus showed us in obedience,
                    doing the will of God — the man knows he
                    is a sinner — he wants to obey God — do things
                    for God's honor and glory and
                    promote His Kingdom, the Kingdom of God —
                    the man following God's footprints wants
                    unity — not disunity —

                God is his goal
                God is his love

                He realizes we are to love God and love others and
                When we love others — we are seeing and
                    loving Jesus in them —

                God walks with us in our brothers —

                Living a life trying to prove we are
                    right is living a life of isolation —
                    it is living a lie, we are all sinners

                Vengeance belongs to God — he who is
                    self-righteous and vindictive —
                    malicious judging others' sin, may
                    not look at themselves at all —
                    like a wise old owl —
                        looking down —
                        seeing themselves as sinless —

                    not living for God's will in love to serve others —
                    but living to prove others are sinners -- they themselves think
                        they are not sinners — so others are under and they are
                        over

                When we live to do God's will —
                    we live to see the uniqueness of others —

                We know we are vital to God's plan —
                We aren't living to prove our worth to men —
                We are busy doing for God —

                Obeying the greatest commandment of loving God
                    and loving others

                We see with the eyes of the Father who
                    created us all and loves us all —

                We want to work as brothers in unity —
                We see how we are dependent on
                    others and we recognize their gifts —

                But those who serve are always ready to be
                    corrected and do the best for God —
                    to be focused on His Kingdom —

                To love the souls - Jesus died for —

                We are not to look with jealous, envious,
                    controlling, lustful, lethargy,
                    seeking dominance, anger, in
                    our eyes — this is the way of satan

                We are to look with love for God and love
                    for others

                We are to look with the eyes of giving —
                Jesus' whole life was a life of giving —

                Jesus taught us how to give
                Jesus taught us how to serve
                Jesus taught us how to obey the Father's will
                Jesus taught us unity
                Jesus taught us poverty, chastity, obedience —
                Jesus taught us about relationships with
                    Mary and Mary Magdalene and John and Peter
                    and the other Apostles

                Jesus taught us

                Jesus loved us so much He took flesh to
                    teach us how to be in His footsteps
                    like Him —
                    Jesus sweat blood for you and me —
                    Jesus was whipped for you and me
                    Jesus was crowned with thorns for you and me

                Jesus, the Son of God —

                Disease is sickness

                We see how even a baby can be so very sick —

                Where does a sickness come from in a baby —
                    they — all of a sudden - are sick —
                    they cry
                    they suffer
                    they can get dehydrated

                We have to stop and take care of them —
                There is sickness because Adam and Eve sinned —
                There is disorder because Adam and Eve sinned —

                We are to learn to be like the New Adam and the New Eve,
                    Jesus and Mary

                Jesus cured the lepers —

                There are dark spots, evil in all of us — we
                    must be healed —

                The proud man - lives to prove he has no
                    evil in him — he can lie to cover-up
                    his error to prove he is always
                    right —

                This pride we see in the sin of Adam and
                    Eve who wanted to be like God —

                We are to die to our imperfections

                Jesus died for our sins

                    We should fear the general
                judgment — the right fear at the right time.

Matthew 10: 27

What I say to you in the dark, tell in the daylight; what you hear in whispers, proclaim from the housetops.

                There will be judgment —
                There will be eternal life for some
                There will be condemnation for others

                We are here to obey God and His commands
                    and His greatest commandment is
                    to love God and love others as ourselves —

                Salvation is a gift —

                We are to serve God, love God and
                    serve others and love them and
                    try to do good — love ourselves and
                    walk in the footsteps of Jesus
