                June 14, 2016

In the Month of the Sacred Heart

                R. A habit of doing a certain thing –
the right way, can be changed when
a person decides to get up in front
of everyone and do it their way –
So next the others, because of their
willfulness, decide it is okay to do
                it their way too.

                    Sunday's Gospel talked of justice
and mercy. There must be laws to
govern us, but we see that God in
His love for us, forgives us when we
ask for forgiveness and want to
                repent of our sins.

                    Forgiving and asking for forgiveness
is a big thing. We see in the Our Father
"forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
                those who trespass against us."

Because people have tried to get their
way and have forced bad behavior in
the mix as acceptable, the norm, or
so it appears, can keep changing more
and more away from what God wants
                of us.

God's laws are given as gifts for
us to follow. They are commandments.
The devil tries to get us to make right →
                wrong and wrong → right.

God is Absolute truth. God is unchangeable.
God wants us to obey Him. We see at the
beginning of the Bible – God told Adam and
Eve what to do and they disobeyed Him –
There are consequences when we disobey
God. Most of all they push us further
away from our intimacy with God.
Have you ever known you did something
in a different way that God wanted
and then said to God I think it was
okay, God, please help it to work.

If we have veered from the plan
God wanted us to follow and we know
it – it would be better to say "I am
                sorry, God, please forgive me".
How we think about what is God's
will for us comes from deeper union
with God, praying for faith to see
what He wants of us and praying to
the Holy Spirit for the moral virtues
to do it the way God wants and the
Gifts of the Holy Spirit to
                help us in our actions.

The more ways that are against
God's will are accepted in the rules
of our country – the more we have
to ask God to help us to see what is
                right.

God has rules He has given us
to follow. We are to obey the commandments,
but if there is bad example all around
us and even rules that say things are
okay when they disobey the commandments
of God – then we need to follow God's
commandments and live by His Word –
this is our truth. We pray to know
what is right and wrong in the Holy Spirit Novena.

The devil wants to lead things off
and it helps to reflect on what was
the right way we were to operate
when people have been forcing their
                dysfunction and willfulness and
                lawlessness because bad leadership
tried to force this situation of
                lawlessness.

How do we swing the pendulum back
to the original plan God the Father
                wanted, when a leader discredited
the real authority and forced their
                dysfunction and ways against
                the plan.

We can study the Garden of Eden,
when Adam and Eve disobeyed –
He cast them from the Garden – He
did not ignore what they did.

When things were getting more and
more lawless at the time of Noah –
he preserved the human race by
the upright – Noah and his
descendants and He allowed the earth to
                be flooded.

In giving us this Movement, God
has given us many messages about
love and union with Him. When Jesus
is the King and center of our hearts
and we follow Him, consecrate our hearts
to Jesus and to Mary, our spiritual Mother,
we know we will have hearts of love
as God wants. Jesus is the way, the
truth and the life. When we give
our heart to His Heart – we follow
Him and His ways. So God asked Fr. Carter
to spread the Consecration to the
Two Hearts all over the world.

And God asked Fr. Carter to spread these
prayers with devotion to the Two Hearts
all over the world. We have these
                prayers in 8 languages.

We can answer the call of God
to do this – or settle in and make
our own rules and not do it.

                    The question becomes when God
is asking us to do one thing and we
do something else instead of what
God asks for – where is the drive,
desire to disobey God and do something
                else coming from.

                    Opposing God's will makes conflict
                in ourselves with God.

Our actions opposed to what is
                just has consequences, we can't
just do what we want. We must
discipline our actions – We must
live by the moral virtues if we
want to do the right thing according
to God. Pray for the virtues of
                temperance and fortitude and justice
                and prudence.

I went to the eye doctor, long ago
and he put lots of lenses before my
eyes and he said "is this right" –
"is this right" – "is this right" –

That is how I see it God wants us
to see through the eyes of the heavenly
Father – His plan for us – His will
                for us –

He keeps saying put on the right
vision – see through my eyes –

                    A certain person once accused
many people of being dysfunctional –
That is a true statement – we see at
the time of Noah how God flooded
the earth because of the waywardness
of men and wickedness of them and
he kept Noah and his family.

A person that sees themselves in the
light of Christ wants to change when
he has bad habits, he does not want
to blame others for his isolated,
                controlling ways. He wants what
Christ wants and since we are
all imperfect and in need of conversion,
a person knows that he is part of the
puzzle when God put us together to
                work with each others.

When we see we have contributed
through bad example to others suffering
and going in the wrong direction –
repenting we tell God we will try
to change and give a good example
to help correct the wrong we did.

When we disobey God we hurt our
                relationship with God. When we
are unjust to God and others we
                hurt our relationship with God
                and others.

When God calls us to a particular
vocation – like saints, sisters and
                brothers, priests living in communities,
families, marriage – there is a lot
of work asking for forgiveness and
forgiving others to bring unity to
a community. We all have a wounded
human nature and we are learning
how to be more and more in the
                image of Jesus.

When we know God has called us
                to a vocation – we don't leave
                because we and others are
                imperfect. God may be teaching
us a valuable lesson we need to
learn for our salvation in the
situation we are in. If we know
God has called us there to do this
                work, we cannot abandon our
                calling because of others willfulness
or our need to control and run things
when it is out of order.

                    God works is structure. God
has given us rules to follow –

All our actions must have as our
goal that of bringing us to eternal happiness
in heaven. When actions are performed
                because of bitterness, anger, jealousy,
                pride, lust, slothfulness, gluttony,
they are not performed as God wants.
                Such actions performed because of
                deadly sins have consequences that
hurt our relationship with God and
                others.

The person who commits these sins
must ask God and others for forgiveness
                to restore their relationship with
                others.

If a man will never admit he
did anything wrong – he is missing
what is necessary to work on his relationship
                with others and with God.

These actions of a man based on the
deadly sins: pride, greed, envy, wrath,
lust, gluttony, and sloth - have consequences.
The man whose actions are directed at
                eternal happiness and using right
                reasoning will find true happiness.
When actions are based on the deadly
sins he will lose, ultimately, happiness.

We can ask ourselves - is this action
                I am performing morally right.
Where there is not responsibility and
                accountability for one's actions –
that man has a problem in his
relationship with God – he can
                blame anybody he wants –

We are accountable to God for our sins
of hatred against God and our neighbor.
We have responsibility before God for
positions we hold in authority to
do what is the will of God in
                directing others' lives and dealing
                with others.

                Leadership has responsibility before
God. We are accountable in a
serious way how we lead in
                example and correctness of duty
                before others.

                Our actions have consequences!
                Our actions must be morally
right. How we act will take us
to happiness or away from happiness.

When a man operates in his actions with
the goal of eternal happiness and
                    right reason and according to
                    God's will in love –
he reaches out in serving the
Divine God and helping to build
                    the Kingdom of God.

When a man controls his actions
                against right reasoning, with malice
and according to the deadly sins of
pride, greed, envy, wrath, lust, gluttony,
and sloth – he limits the scope of what
he is doing in his selfish ways –
He narrows down to a small space –
                his space of serving himself
                and walking in darkness.

                This ultimately brings great unhappiness
because he opposed God's will for
him, it makes him unhappy when
                    he has conflict with God.

We are to prepare for eternity –
We are to walk in the light and
build up what God has asked
                us to do.
Not close down in darkness –
                trying to keep ourselves confined
in a small safe place –

                    Every man can choose what
God's will is for him or reject it
because he has a free will.

We are to choose actions that are
in right reason and help us
                to grow in our relationship
                with God and others and
to have the vision of the
                heavenly Father.

God the Father doesn't want us
                    performing acts in anger
                    and jealousy, bitterness
                    and pride.
                    Even the man in darkness
                    knows he doesn't feel
good when he does this –

                Darkness inside from bad choices
                    of determining one's actions
                    on past anger, jealousy,
                    envy, pride, slothfulness
                    etc. –
becomes a way of life for
                        a man when he continues
                        in these dark ways,
                        hurting his relationship with
                        God and others.

The man of light – sees the light –
knows his life is to be lived
                    in developing a greater
                    relationship with God and others.

He is accountable and responsible for
his actions before God and in
                    dealing with others –

Our life is to be lived in growing
                    in loving relationships
                    with God and others –

We have one life to live and this life
is to be lived preparing us
                    for eternal relationship in love
                    with God forever.

We are here to base our actions on
                    that goal of eternal happiness,
actions are because of right reason
according to the will of God
                    in love –

Morning Offering

My dear Father, I offer You this day all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings, my every breath, my every heartbeat, my every thought, all my actions, in union with Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in the Holy Spirit. I pray the Holy Spirit is with me every second today, enlightening me to do the Will of the Father and filling me with the fire of God's love.

I ask Jesus and Mary to be one in me in all that I do and I unite with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory to pray continually to the Father for these intercessions, in this prayer, for this day.

For myself, I pray for grace-abundant grace, to know and love God more and more and to follow the Will of the Father. I pray to the Holy Spirit to transform me in the heart of Mary to be more and more like Jesus. I pray that I can forever dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. I pray for conversion of all those I hold dear who need conversion. I pray for each member of my family that they will be filled with Your abundant grace to grow in their knowledge and love of God.

I pray for all my friends that they will receive abundant grace to carry out the great plan of the Father, that they will grow forever closer to Jesus' Heart through Mary's heart, that we will all be led by the Holy Spirit to do His work, that we will, together, carry out the plan of the Father as He intends us to, to spread the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary's heart to this world.

Jesus, I pray for myself so the Holy Spirit descends upon me and opens my heart to Your love so I will grow more and more deeply in union with You. I pray that I do not worry what other people think but try always to please the Father and do His Will. I pray that I may help lead many to Your burning love.

I pray for the following people in particular that they will be filled with the Spirit and grow deeply in their union with You, that they will receive abundant graces to know, love and serve You more. (Include special friends by name...)

I pray for priests the world over, for the success of the Priestly Newsletter, the Chapters and for the finances needed for the Newsletter. I pray for the circulation of the Blue Book messages, rosary meditations and tapes. I pray for all those involved in the publication of these messages.

I pray that You will shower Your abundant graces onto the priests reading the Newsletter the people reading and hearing the Blue Book messages and rosary meditations and all of Fr. Carter's publications.

We pray for the intentions we hold deep within our hearts, for our families and friends, for those requesting our prayers. We pray for children the world over and for the souls in purgatory. We ask God to shower His abundant grace on us and the members of our Shepherds of Christ Chapter so that we may grow more and more in our knowledge and love of God.

We consecrate ourselves to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We pray for Father Carter, for Father Smith, for Rita Ring, and for John Weickert, for all leaders and helpers in the Shepherds of Christ Movement, for Shepherds of Christ Ministries, and Our Lady of Light Ministry. We pray for all those who are working in these ministries.

We bind ourselves and our children and our friends to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We place the precious blood of Jesus on ourselves, and all we touch, so that we will be protected from the evil one. We pray to St. Michael to cast the devil into hell.

We love You, God, we love You, we love You. We beg that we may receive the grace to love You more and more deeply. We adore You, we praise You, our beloved Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
