July 22, 2015 - Feast of St. Mary Magdalene

                R. Dear Jesus I am sorry for my sins, I
pray to be forgiven, I love You so much
Jesus, outpour Your gratuitous gift of
Your love to me. I want to love You and
others and myself as You desire. Please
Jesus, I want the gifts of faith, hope and love
increased ever more in my life. Dear
God use me as You want me to do Your
                work. Transform my fearfulness to
fearlessness You want me to have, to
be empowered in my vocation to serve
You and help build Your Kingdom on earth.
Thank You God for Your gifts. Thank You
God for the people in my life  — transform
relationships in this world to be in
unity with You. Dear God I pray that men
on this earth do as the Father wants obeying
Your commandments and loving and serving God.

Dear God I pray for the priests, the Church
and the world. Dear God please spread
Your saving blood on the whole
human race. Please help the pope
to help us spread these prayer chapters

                R. that You gave to Fr. Carter all over
                the world.

I ask that the Blood of Jesus be spread
on me, my family, my extended family,
the Shepherds of Christ family and all of
their families. I cast the devil into the
fires of hell for all of us and
consecrate our hearts in as far
as I am able to the Sacred Heart and
                Immaculate Heart and ask for
an outpouring of the Holy Spirit
                on all of us.

                R. I pray all these prayers through
                the powerful intercession of
Mary by our side. I pray for
Dan and thank You for the healings
You have given. I pray for the
healing of the family tree for
                all of us.

Oh God I love You so much. I
praise You, worship You and adore
You. Thanks for Fr. Joe, Fr. Mike,
Monsignor, Fr. Ken and all the priests
that help us, and all our priests, through
the powerful intercession of Fr. Carter,
                I pray for them. Amen.

I know that God has a Plan. When we
disobey His will we have problems  —
God is the Almighty God who created
us for a purpose, we must surrender
to Him, trust in Him, be united
                and pray to Him.

We should be like babies at the
breast and do what God wants us
to do  - to seek it  — to love the will
of God and to do it. We must pray
and have open hearts  - so one with
God  — get rid of old debris in our
hearts, like sorting out the old
messes in an old house we
had and left there. Sort out
the good and bad habits in our
ways and hold onto the good behaviors,
pray for the grace to love, to love and
be united to God. Listen to God  —
God has the Plan for our life  —
Our vocation is to be as God wants
                us to be.

Love Me First Above All Things (excerpt)

Jesus: ... My children, My children, My willful children, do you want things done your way, do you ponder and arrive at your conclusions, or are you striving to do My will? The will of the Father is made clear in your hearts in front of the tabernacle, in the silent moments you spend alone with God. Beg the Spirit to give you His gifts, to open your minds and hearts.

Do not be willful, strive to do only His will. I am Jesus, Son of the Living God. I give you the way to eternal life. Give up your attachments to your own ways and follow ME.

I am the Way, I am Truth and Life (Jn 14:6), He that comes to Me will have the light of life. Come and follow Me.

Life is not life - if it is not rooted in Jesus!

John 20: 1-2, 11-18

It was very early on the first day of the week and still dark, when Mary of Magdala came to the tomb. She saw that the stone had been moved away from the tomb and came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. ‘They have taken the Lord out of the tomb,’ she said, ‘and we don’t know where they have put him.’

The appearance to Mary of Magdala

But Mary was standing outside near the tomb, weeping. Then, as she wept, she stooped to look inside, and saw two angels in white sitting where the body of Jesus had been, one at the head, the other at the feet. They said, ‘Woman, why are you weeping?’ ‘They have taken my Lord away,’ she replied, ‘and I don’t know where they have put him.’ As she said this she turned round and saw Jesus standing there, though she did not realise that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?’ Supposing him to be the gardener, she said, ‘Sir, if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and remove him.’ Jesus said, ‘Mary!’ She turned round then and said to him in Hebrew, ‘Rabbuni!’—which means Master. Jesus said to her, ‘Do not cling to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to the brothers, and tell them: I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ So Mary of Magdala told the disciples, ‘I have seen the Lord,’ and that he had said these things to her.

                Song: Come to My Heart

                R. We see Christ was wrapped in the
                burial wrappings and placed
                in a new tomb.

April 5, 2001

                R. But on the 3rd day He rose from
                    the dead  —
                    dropping the burial cloth  —

                Jesus died leaving behind the
                    wrapping

Jesus rose - in white, light,
                    glorified wounds

                Today's Readings

Exodus 16: 1-5, 9-15

Setting out from Elim, the whole community of Israelites entered the desert of Sin, lying between Elim and Sinai-on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had left Egypt. And the whole community of Israelites began complaining about Moses and Aaron in the desert and said to them, 'Why did we not die at Yahweh's hand in Egypt, where we used to sit round the flesh pots and could eat to our heart's content! As it is, you have led us into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death!'

Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Look, I shall rain down bread for you from the heavens. Each day the people must go out and collect their ration for the day; I propose to test them in this way to see whether they will follow my law or not. On the sixth day, however, when they prepare what they have brought in, this must be twice as much as they collect on ordinary days.'

Moses then said to Aaron, 'Say to the whole community of Israelites, "Approach Yahweh's presence, for he has heard your complaints." 'As Aaron was speaking to the whole community of Israelites, they turned towards the desert, and there the glory of Yahweh appeared in the cloud. Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said, 'I have heard the Israelites' complaints. Speak to them as follows, "At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will have bread to your heart's content, and then you will know that I am Yahweh your God."'

That evening, quails flew in and covered the camp, and next morning there was a layer of dew all round the camp. When the layer of dew lifted, there on the surface of the desert was something fine and granular, as fine as hoarfrost on the ground. As soon as the Israelites saw this, they said to one another, 'What is that?' not knowing what it was. 'That', Moses told them, 'is the food which Yahweh has given you to eat.

Psalm 78: 18-19, 23-28

they deliberately challenged God
by demanding food to their hearts' content.

They insulted God by saying,
'Can God make a banquet in the desert?

Even so he gave orders to the skies above,
he opened the sluice gates of heaven;
he rained down manna to feed them,
he gave them the wheat of heaven;
mere mortals ate the bread of the Mighty,
he sent them as much food as they could want.

He roused an east wind in the heavens,
despatched a south wind by his strength;
he rained down meat on them like dust,
birds thick as sand on the seashore,
tumbling into the middle of his camp,
all around his dwelling-place.

John 20: 1-2, 11-18

                R. In the first reading we see that
                    the Israelites rebelled
                    against God continually  —
                    They grumbled against God
                        and Moses
And God gave them to eat

Our life is to be lived  —

                    LIVED  —

to have greater life in Him  —

We can be as a mummy and be
                    rigid  — hiding those things
that are not like Jesus  —

                R. We were created in the image
                    and likeness of God  —

We are to grow in greater
                    life in Him

                We went to Egypt about
10 years ago and I saw
                    Ramses II - Mummy in
                    the Cairo Museum  —

                R. He was dead  —
                He was rigid
                He was born in 1303BC
                    and died in 1213BC

                Is that 3,000 years about?

I had a dream and it was this  —
We used to stay in a condo
                    when my children were
                    little and I went back
there and it was the same,
but messy, where things in the
                    kitchen and clothes in the
                    bedroom I had left behind.
I was with John and Doris and
I wanted to go back and sort
out the things  — getting rid
                    of some and keeping some
                    and making things orderly.

Well, Our Lord, told me  — the days
                    of our lives are important.
We cannot close the door on
                    the past. We influenced people
                    and things by our disorderly
                    ways and we remember the
                    scripture.

 Exodus 34: 6-7

Then Yahweh passed before him and called out, ‘Yahweh, Yahweh, God of tenderness and compassion, slow to anger, rich in faithful love and constancy, maintaining his faithful love to thousands, forgiving fault, crime and sin, yet letting nothing go unchecked, and punishing the parent’s fault in the children and in the grandchildren to the third and fourth generation!’

                R. We are accountable for our sins,
but God is merciful - telling
                    our children we are sorry
                    for our bad habits while
                    we were learning how to
                    be in relationships and
                    could have hurt them
should help them heal, by our
                    validating  - we were not
                    perfect and learning  —
all need to pray for the healing
                    of their family tree  —
                    how we lived, related,
                    etc. effects future children
                    not even born yet  —

We need to grow in relationships - it takes time  —
                    We are imperfect, we were
                    taught by imperfect people  —
Years ago men ruled the home
                    so much a woman stayed
home and took care of children.
But there must be order  —
Women are not to rebel to be
                    on top  —

Men and women are to live in
                    love and -- even though
                    their may be tension.

Genesis 3: 16

    To the woman he said:

I shall give you intense pain
        in childbearing,
you will give birth to your children
        in pain.
Your yearning will be for your husband,
    and he will dominate you.

Ephesians 5: 21-33

Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives should be subject to their husbands as to the Lord, since, as Christ is head of the Church, and saves the whole body, so is a husband the head of his wife; and as the Church is subject to Christ, so should wives be to their husbands, in everything. Husbands should love their wives, just as Christ loved the Church and sacrificed himself for her to make her holy by washing her in cleansing water with a form of words, so that when he took the Church to himself she would be glorious, with no speck or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and faultless. In the same way, husbands must love their wives as they love their own bodies; for a man to love his wife is for him to love himself. A man never hates his own body, but he feeds it and looks after it; and that is the way Christ treats the Church, because we are parts of his Body. This is why a man leaves his father and mother and becomes attached to his wife, and the two become one flesh. This mystery has great significance, but I am applying it to Christ and the Church. To sum up: you also, each one of you, must love his wife as he loves himself; and let every wife respect her husband.

Sirach 3: 12-14

My child, support your father in his old age,
do not grieve him during his life.
Even if his mind should fail, show him sympathy,
    do not despise him in your health and strength;
for kindness to a father will not be forgotten
but will serve as reparation for your sins.

                R. We know we should know our
place  — working in our vocations  —
growing in unity - each being all God
wants us to be in unity and love.

Living virtuously in faith, hope and love
                    is knowing your place in
                    God the Father's Plan  —
                    Seeing through God's eyes.

The deadly sins are when man
                    doesn't know his place
                    in God's plan  —

                R. Like Eve wanted to be equal to
God  — Eve did not know
her place (she was under God,
she was to be obedient to God)

1 Corinthians 15: 20-28

In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

                R. We see that in the deadly sins
                    lust can be not knowing
                    our place  —

                We see jealousy, envy are
                    relationship problems  —
                    where one should be glad
                    when one is doing what
                    God wills and rejoice  —
not try to take another person out
because of our jealous eyes  —
An envious person sees others as
                    exceeding over them and thinks
it is taking away from them  — this
                    is because the person doesn't
                    see themselves as so important
                    in God's plan  —

                The deadly sins are tendencies
                    we have because of original
                    sin, where man sees in
                    relationships with God,
                    others and themselves in
                    distorted vision and acts
in such a way that is
                    not putting themselves in the
                    right place in relationships
                    with God, others or themselves

We are to love ourselves as God wills.

Being in the right place with
                    God, others and ourselves
                    in relationships is
                    living virtuously  —
                    seeing through the eyes of
                    God in faith (not with
                    distorted vision, inordinate
                    attachments)
                    loving God, others and
                    ourselves virtuously is
                    loving with the gift God
                    gives us to love  —
                    supernaturally as He desires  —
                    God is the source  —
                    God is the gift-giver  —
                    God gives the grace to
love likened to Him  — it is a gift
and we are to thank Him for this
                    gift  —

God gives the gift of loving as
                    He chooses  —
                    We need this grace from
God to love likened to Him  —

Faith, hope and love are theological virtues
given in baptism and we need
                    God's grace to grow in
faith, hope and love  — that is why
                    they are called theological
                    virtues  —

We can think of how a man and
                    woman grow to get married
                    in their relationship of
                    giving themselves to each
other  — they want to give
                    themselves in deeper love
and they can choose to marry
                    to do this  —

The more we give ourselves to God  —
                    the more our relationship
                    grows. God wants our love
and as we grow and ask
for this grace to love more
likened to Him, our Divine lover,
He gives this grace to us as He
                    chooses, but it is His
gratuitous gift given to us  —

God deserves our love  — the
                    more we love deeply
                    because of His gift we
                    share in God's loving
                    activity  — we love on
                    a supernatural level, we have
                    this capacity because of baptism.

God is the gift-giver of this grace to us to love  —
So we seek this grace, we cooperate
with His generous gift and we
                    thank Him abundantly  —

We owe God love  — People
before us gave us love  — In justice
we are to make the world
                a better place  — more Christ-like  —
bringing His love to the world  —
We have a debt to pay for those
who went before us and gave
love  — so we owe it to future
                generations to make the world
a better place as God wants.
                It is justice.

Here is a quote from Fr. Carter's
                    Newsletter.

Priestly Newsletter Book II - September/October 1997

Scriptural Reflections

In all this Mary offers an example. Selfishness was totally foreign to her. She did not belong to herself. She belonged to God. She was not closed in upon herself. She was completely open to God. When God spoke, she listened. When God pointed the way, she followed. She realized that life is not a process a person masters by carefully mapping out one's own self-conceived plans of conquest, but a mystery to be gradually experienced by being open to God's personal and loving guidance.

Selfishness, then, did not close Mary off from God's call. Neither did fear. God asked her to assume a tremendous responsibility. He asked her to be the Mother of Jesus. Mary did not engage in a process of false humility and say that such a great role was above her. She did not say that she did not have the proper qualifications for this awesome mission. Briefly, she did not waste time looking at herself, making pleas that she was not worthy, telling the angel he had better go look for someone else. No, Mary did not look at herself. Her gaze was absorbed in God. She fully realized that whatever God asked of her, His grace would accomplish. She fully realized that although she herself had to cooperate, this work was much more God's than hers.

Mary's words, then, truly sum up what is the authentic Christian response at any point of life, in any kind of situation: "I am the handmaid of the Lord," said Mary, "let what you have said be done to me".

                R. To get back to my dream  —

I had a reoccurring dream where
I had to take a college final
and never went to class  —

The last judgment is like this  —
God has put us here with a Plan.
We are to live our vocation
                    to be more holy  —

The Church, the world and the
                    individual Christian are in
the state of becoming more and
more Christic  — this is as Christ
                    desires  - like Christ  —

We see how in today's first reading,
                how they grumbled against Moses
                and they were always rebelling
                against God.

                    God is over us  —

                    The world, the Church and
                the individual Christian are
to be molded in the image
of Christ  — this is God's Plan  —
                Happiness is in living
                according to God's Plan  —
                not trying to rebel and
                make things our way opposed
to God's will for us, because we
are to be ready to grow and change!

We are to seek God's will for us!

There is disorder because of the
sin of Adam and Eve  —

                God works in order.

Romans 8: 5-9

Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires; those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things. And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life and peace, because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God's Law, and indeed it cannot, and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God. You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made a home in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

                R. We know God did not give up
                    on the Israelites when
                    they grumbled  —

God made a promise to Noah
                    never to destroy the earth
                    by water again  — the
                    rainbow after the rain
is a sign of this  —

It's like God says with every rain  —
Remember the flood of Noah  —
                    well, remember My Covenant
                    with mankind  —
see the rain - now see My rainbow, Wow

 Genesis 9: 8-17

God spoke as follows to Noah and his sons, ‘I am now establishing my covenant with you and with your descendants to come, and with every living creature that was with you: birds, cattle and every wild animal with you; everything that came out of the ark, every living thing on earth. And I shall maintain my covenant with you: that never again shall all living things be destroyed by the waters of a flood, nor shall there ever again be a flood to devastate the earth.’

‘And this’, God said, ‘is the sign of the covenant which I now make between myself and you and every living creature with you for all ages to come: I now set my bow in the clouds and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I gather the clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds, I shall recall the covenant between myself and you and every living creature, in a word all living things, and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all living things. When the bow is in the clouds I shall see it and call to mind the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth, that is, all living things.’

‘That’, God told Noah, ‘is the sign of the covenant I have established between myself and all living things on earth.’

Jesus says: The rainbow is a sign I give you.

                R. Well in the reoccurring dream
I know I would flunk my class
if I didn't attend class and
                never knew anything about
it and had to take a final  —

                Jesus says: Don't close the
                door on the past  —

                R. We will have a final
at the end of our life here!
Our bad habits need to be
                changed. We can't try
                to make our life now
                with innocent others
                a battle ground for unfinished
                business of the past  —
                We seek healing and holiness!

                    The question is

                    What does God want for
                our vocation to help our
                relationships with God, others
and ourselves, to be as He wants
to help build the Kingdom of God while
we are on earth  — for witnessing
                now, for future generations
to come  — in showing great
love to God  — who is the
                gift-giver and love
                to others and living as
the gift God gives to the
                world by our life  —
We have a purpose in God's
                    plan!

From the Priestly Newsletter

Cardinal Newman said

"... everyone who breathes, high and low,
educated and ignorant, young and old, man and woman,
has a mission, has a work. We are not sent
into this world for nothing; we are not born at
                    random. . . God sees every one of us;
He creates every soul, He lodges it in
a body, one by one, for a purpose. He needs,
He deigns to need, every one of us.
He has an end for each of us... we are
placed in our different ranks and stations, not to
get what we can out of them for ourselves, but to
labor in them for Him, as He rejoiced to do His work,
we must rejoice in ours also.

Isaiah 61: 10

I exult for joy in Yahweh,
my soul rejoices in my God,
for he has clothed me
    in garments of salvation,
he has wrapped me in a cloak
    of saving justice,
like a bridegroom wearing his garland,
like a bride adorned in her jewels.

Isaiah 62: 5

Like a young man marrying a virgin,
your rebuilder will wed you,
and as the bridegroom rejoices in his bride,
so will your God rejoice in you.

Psalm 146: 1-2

Alleluia!
Praise Yahweh, my soul!
I will praise Yahweh all my life,
I will make music to my God as long as I live.

                R. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus I place my
                    trust in Thee.

Matthew 22: 36-40

'Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?' Jesus said to him, 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.'

                R. Heaven is for lovers  —

Our life is to learn to
                    grow in unity and
                    love in relationships
                    with God, others and
                    ourselves

                Not be a mummy that
                    is closed  —
                Not to be caved-in

                To open our hearts like
Jesus did on the cross  —

                R. Jesus shows us His
                    spread arms and
                    His bare body on
                    the cross

Death/Resurrection

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

Lucia's Vision

January 5, 1997

R. On January 5, 1997, I was wakened by Our Lord and He was mumbling as He was around my bed as He did on October 8, 1997, when He delivered the "Seedless, Barren, No Fruit on the Vine" message.

I heard Him and He repeated the words over and over again. I had a copy of the all-night message on the floor, I jumped from the bed and began to write around the message, for it was the only paper available and He was speaking very plainly and direct. I wrote this message in the margins of the paper. He kept repeating "BABY, BARE BABY, LAID BARE".

Jesus:  Open yourself, Oh Jerusalem, your time is come you will be a light to the people in darkness, many will walk whence you come and the earth will be shakened and the light will come across a dark sky and enlighten their minds.

Oh stiff-necked people, you are so stiff in your ways, let the spirit envelope you and lead you on your way.

A country of stiffs, a people of planning and prodding, of deliberating and wonderingyou lack faith, Jerusalem, you lack faith in God.

Oh walk naked into the cold night, you are cold in your hearts and naked in your clothingI cloth you with glory, I light your face with light, but you turn your cheeks to the darkness and stay stiff-necked in your hearts. Oh cold and dark hearts, reach for the light that you may know the glory that awaits the sinners and enlightens their minds.

R. Dear Jesus, I offer You all I do today.

Soon the dark night will pass and the light of day like a person opening up the store for a new day, the dark of night will peel away and the morning light will come.

Jesus You are always there - at every moment, with me, to be with me in the day - I am not alone.
Today is the day You have made and when I go to bed tonight I can never live this day again.

The opportunities You bring, to do Your work today, are before me.
Help me to serve You and to let You operate me to do Your holy work.

Come Lord, fill me now with Your life in me.
Holy Spirit sanctify me, dwell in me, enlighten me, help me to be docile to Your touch, Please bless the work of my hands today.

Fear is a big way the devil tries to block what God wants us to do this day.
We can fear all kinds of things.
We can fear health, we can fear acceptance, we can fear we will be made fun of, we can fear nobody will hear us,
we can fear we are too tired or we can fear we are too fat or thin, we can fear that we won't have what we need, we can fear others will not accept us, we can fear...

Isn't that the way the media works to try to get us to give in.

Jesus, I give You myself to use for Your day today operating in me, I want to serve You, Come and dwell in me now.

Come Holy Spirit help me to be an empty vessel ready to be filled.

Mary, my mother, walk by my side.

Mary, my Mother, I come to dwell in your Immaculate Heart - take me to the Heart of Jesus.

Come to me Lord and possess my soul.

I offer everything I do all day united to the Mass.
I offer all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings to You Lord, united to the Mass for the building of the Kingdom of God, for the priest, the Church and the world.
I offer my day for my private intentions, I offer my day for my family and the Shepherds of Christ members and needs.

Come to me Lord and possess my soul.

Sing: Come Holy Ghost

Sing: Come to me Lord and Possess my Soul

I love you God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - come dwell in me now.

I adore You, I worship You, I love You, I thank You, God. Amen.

I surrender God in love to do Your will today.
Help me to love.
Dear Heavenly Father help me to see through your eyes.

Guardian Angel

"Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen."
