Pope John Paul II wrote Love and Responsibility 1960

Pope John Paul II said "A human being should never
be used as means to an end — but always treated as an end in
him or herself — Thou shalt Love thy neighbor as thyself."

Exodus 40: 16-21, 34-38

Moses did this; he did exactly as Yahweh had ordered him. On the first day of the first month in the second year the Dwelling was erected. Moses erected the Dwelling. He fixed its sockets, set up its frames, put its crossbars in position and set up its poles. He spread the tent over the Dwelling and the covering for the tent over that, as Yahweh had ordered Moses. He took the Testimony and put it in the ark, positioned the shafts on the ark and put the mercy-seat on top of the ark. He brought the ark into the Dwelling and put the screening curtain in place, screening the ark of the Testimony, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.

The cloud then covered the Tent of Meeting and the glory of Yahweh filled the Dwelling. Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting, since the cloud stayed over it and the glory of Yahweh filled the Dwelling.

At every stage of their journey, whenever the cloud rose from the Dwelling, the Israelites would resume their march. If the cloud did not rise, they would not resume their march until the day it did rise. For Yahweh's cloud stayed over the Dwelling during the daytime and there was fire inside the cloud at night, for the whole House of Israel to see, at every stage of their journey.

Psalm 84: 3-6, 8, 11

Even the sparrow has found a home,
the swallow a nest to place its young:
your altars, Yahweh Sabaoth,
    my King and my God.

How blessed are those who live in your house;
they shall praise you continually.                                        Pause
Blessed those who find their strength in you,
whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.

As they pass through the Valley of the Balsam,
they make there a water hole,
and a further blessing early rain fills it.

Yahweh, God Sabaoth, hear my prayer,
listen, God of Jacob.

For Yahweh God is a rampart and shield,
    he gives grace and glory;
Yahweh refuses nothing good
to those whose life is blameless.

Matthew 13: 47-53

'Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet that is cast in the sea and brings in a haul of all kinds of fish. When it is full, the fishermen bring it ashore; then, sitting down, they collect the good ones in baskets and throw away those that are no use. This is how it will be at the end of time: the angels will appear and separate the wicked from the upright, to throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.

'Have you understood all these?' They said, 'Yes.' And he said to them, 'Well then, every scribe who becomes a disciple of the kingdom of Heaven is like a householder who brings out from his storeroom new things as well as old.'

When Jesus had finished these parables he left the district;

Every day is a wonderful day to obey God and His commandments,
                    to do God's holy will.

The world is like a big lake and God has called us to
fish for the souls with love and compassion —
                    to grow in kindness

To thank the Father every day
                    To pray for strength
To pray God touches me today
                    God the Father protect me

                We must examine ourselves —
not get stuck in bad habits that hurt others
                        and ourselves —
habits we get by giving into our wounded
                        human nature

God has blessed us, we are to rejoice to build
                    His Kingdom on earth.

                    Christ walked on the water
Peter fell in when he doubted
We fall in our sins —
                    The New Adam is perfect

2 Peter 1: 16-19

When we told you about the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we were not slavishly repeating cleverly invented myths; no, we had seen his majesty with our own eyes. He was honoured and glorified by God the Father, when a voice came to him from the transcendent Glory, This is my Son, the Beloved; he enjoys my favour.  We ourselves heard this voice from heaven, when we were with him on the holy mountain.

So we have confirmation of the words of the prophets; and you will be right to pay attention to it as to a lamp for lighting a way through the dark, until the dawn comes and the morning star rises in your minds.

The saints are happy in heaven —
                    They followed Christ
Jesus shed His Blood for our sins.

Numbers 12: 1-13

Miriam, and Aaron too, criticised Moses over the Cushite woman he had married. He had indeed married a Cushite woman. They said, ‘Is Moses the only one through whom Yahweh has spoken? Has he not spoken through us too?’ Yahweh heard this. Now Moses was extremely humble, the humblest man on earth.

Suddenly Yahweh said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, ‘Come out, all three of you, to the Tent of Meeting.’ They went, all three of them, and Yahweh descended in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the Tent. He called Aaron and Miriam and they both came forward. Yahweh said: Listen to my words! if there is a prophet among you, I reveal myself to him in a vision, I speak to him in a dream. Not so with my servant Moses; to him my whole household is entrusted; to him I speak face to face, plainly and not in riddles, and he sees Yahweh’s form. How, then, could you dare to criticise my servant Moses? Yahweh’s anger was aroused by them. He went away, and as soon as the cloud left the Tent, there was Miriam covered with a virulent skin–disease, white as snow! Aaron turned to look at her and saw that she had contracted a virulent skin–disease.

Aaron said to Moses: ‘Oh, my Lord, please do not punish us for the sin we have been foolish enough to commit. Do not let her be like some monster with its flesh half eaten away when it leaves its mother’s womb!’ Moses pleaded with Yahweh. ‘O God,’ he said, ‘I beg you, please heal her!’

Today many do not even want to say the word sin.
They think they are acting perfectly and we are here
to prepare ourselves for heaven —
We are sinners — we must recognize our
                        sins and do God's will.
Pride is one of the weaknesses because of our
                        wounded human nature —
To think we are without sin, when in fact
the reason we sin is because of our pride
Jesus cried on the cross - because despite His sufferings
souls would be lost because of their own sin
                        and failure to repent
Jesus gave His all for love of us —
But we can continue to sin against God
Jesus could have stopped His suffering in the garden —
Adam and Eve disobeyed in the garden
                    Jesus obeyed the Father's will
                    Jesus sweat blood

Psalm 22: 1, 8-9, 17-20, 23-24

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

‘He trusted himself to Yahweh, let Yahweh set him free!
Let him deliver him, as he took such delight in him.’

It was you who drew me from the womb
and soothed me on my mother’s breast.

I can count every one of my bones,
while they look on and gloat;
they divide my garments among them
and cast lots for my clothing.

Yahweh, do not hold aloof!
My strength, come quickly to my help,
rescue my soul from the sword,
the one life I have from the grasp of the dog!

‘You who fear Yahweh, praise him!
All the race of Jacob, honour him!
Revere him, all the race of Israel!’

For he has not despised
nor disregarded the poverty of the poor,
has not turned away his face,
but has listened to the cry for help.

2 Corinthians 9: 6-10

But remember:  anyone who sows sparsely will reap sparsely as well—and anyone who sows generously will reap generously as well. Each one should give as much as he has decided on his own initiative, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. God is perfectly able to enrich you with every grace, so that you always have enough for every conceivable need, and your resources overflow in all kinds of good work. As scripture says: To the needy he gave without stint, his uprightness stands firm for ever.

The one who so freely provides seed for the sower and food to eat will provide you with ample store of seed for sowing and make the harvest of your uprightness a bigger one:

Deuteronomy 10: 12-22

‘And now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God ask of you? Only this: to fear Yahweh your God, to follow all his ways, to love him, to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and all your soul, to keep the commandments and laws of Yahweh, which I am laying down for you today for your own good.

‘Look, to Yahweh your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth and everything on it; yet it was on your ancestors, for love of them, that Yahweh set his heart to love them, and he chose their descendants after them, you yourselves, out of all nations, up to the present day. Circumcise your heart then and be obstinate no longer; for Yahweh your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, triumphant and terrible, free of favouritism, never to be bribed. He it is who sees justice done for the orphan and the widow, who loves the stranger and gives him food and clothing. (Love the stranger then, for you were once strangers in Egypt.) Yahweh your God is the one whom you must fear and serve; to him you must hold firm; in his name take your oaths. Him you must praise, he is your God: for you he has done these great and terrible things which you have seen for yourselves; and, although your ancestors numbered only seventy persons when they went down to Egypt, Yahweh your God has now made you as many as the stars of heaven.’

                Blessed be God

We offer ourselves, our lives to God
We want to serve God and not to sin against
                    God by worshipping other gods.

                God please outpour Your grace.
God help us to be holy and not willful —
God help us to see the prophets as teachers of how
                    you love obedience.
God help us to see how the saints lived by doing the
                    will of God in love.

                Blessed be God forever more
                Blessed be God
                Help us God

Colossians 3: 1-5, 9-11

Since you have been raised up to be with Christ, you must look for the things that are above, where Christ is, sitting at God’s right hand. Let your thoughts be on things above, not on the things that are on the earth, because you have died, and now the life you have is hidden with Christ in God. But when Christ is revealed—and he is your life—you, too, will be revealed with him in glory.

That is why you must kill everything in you that is earthly: sexual vice, impurity, uncontrolled passion, evil desires and especially greed, which is the same thing as worshipping a false god;

and do not lie to each other. You have stripped off your old behaviour with your old self, and you have put on a new self which will progress towards true knowledge the more it is renewed in the image of its Creator; and in that image there is no room for distinction between Greek and Jew, between the circumcised and uncircumcised, or between barbarian and Scythian, slave and free. There is only Christ: he is everything and he is in everything.

                    The magnificence of God
God shows us His will —
He talks in our hearts if we listen
Satan wants us to listen to his lies to tell
                        us untruths.

Now this is made clear to me.
God is a God of miracles and He can do all things.
                He is with me always.

Eve disobeyed God because she could not let go
of having anyone over her telling her
                    what to do.
She disobeyed and her disobedience and
Adam's disobedience affected all of us.

The lesson Mary teaches us, is to be a handmaid
                    of the Lord.
The tendency of fallen man is to be his
                        own boss —
he may think adversely like this
and if you can get away with it and
know you are to obey — then punish
the person in charge by procrastination, adverseness,
                        lack of communication, unavailability, anything
to be in charge and in control — (This is thinking wrong.)
If you have to obey - you can try to emotionally
control the person over you — (This is wrong too.)

It is one lesson I teach now from the garden,
because of Adam and Eve we all suffered —
Adam and Eve disobeyed God —
they didn't want anybody telling them
                        what to do

What is the lesson of Jesus on the cross, Jesus
                    the new Adam,

                Luke 23: 46
"Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Father, into
your hands I commend my spirit' and
when he had said this he breathed his last."

Luke 22: 41-42

Then he withdrew from them, about a stone’s throw away, and knelt down and prayed. ‘Father,’ he said, ‘if you are willing, take this cup away from me. Nevertheless, let your will be done, not mine.’

                Even Peter denied Jesus
Peter was not under the cross — Mary was
under the cross, John was under the cross.

Moses went to the mountain —
while Moses was on the mountain below they made a molten calf.

What message did I get from Mary when she
                    appeared
"You have made money your god."

Do you care what the message is that goes with
                    the vision in Clearwater —
                    circulate the Priestly Newsletter
circulate the Blue Books, Rosary Books
                    begin prayer chapters

You say oh what a catastrophe that this happened

Mary's image head — the most precious part of the
image — Jesus told me crushed and put in the
Fatima statues could pay for the Newsletter —

Jesus wants the Priestly Newsletter to circulate to the
80,000 priests every other month —

Jesus wants us keeping the Virgin Mary building
for the purpose of prayer and spreading
the Blue Books and Consecration —

This beautiful image — given to us by God is
a sign that He wants us reaching the souls
with this consecration to the Sacred Heart
                    and Immaculate Heart.

Joseph had a coat of colors — they threw him in
a pit — his own brothers because of
                    jealousy

Mary's image wore her rainbow gown and they
knocked off the head of the image —
Do you think God the Father wants man to
make reparation for such an atrocity —

                ADAM AND EVE DISOBEYED GOD
                ADAM AND EVE SINNED

The weak human nature wants dominance
The weak human nature is rebellious

Jesus paid the price for our sins
He sweat blood in the garden telling us
                        to obey —

When God told Adam and Eve not to eat of the
                    tree they disobeyed.

Now some people may do something at the
end, but they control and control,
hold out, try to emotionally control when
they are told to do something.

                The priesthood has dwindled —
There are scarce religious orders —

God wants celibate religious persons serving
the Church as handmaids of the Lord —
                    living under obedience.
The servants and handmaids started by
Fr. Carter with this title were to live
in obedience and celibacy — serving
this purpose to spread the Priestly
Newsletter and prayer chapters to the
                    ends of the earth.

One can watch a small child learn obedience,
but a very strong-willed child will never give
in — they want to win — they want to do it
their way — they may try to manipulate by
any means — even make condescending
remarks at three to be dominant and
the parent may give in because their
                    will is so strong.

Mary showed us at the Miracle of Cana — she said
to do what He tells you
And Jesus turned water into wine, but
Mary the perfect handmaid of the Lord
was under Jesus — she obeyed God.

The weak human nature wants dominance at
all costs — they won't give in like the
                    three year old — strong-willed child —
                    that won't obey —
when told to do a very simple thing — it
is a test for them to win and they have
predetermined they will win and not obey.

By age 25 — they cannot follow any vocation to
the religious life (if so called), because it is so ingrained
in them to be in control, never to let
                    anyone over them —

What happens with marriages when someone
                        is so self-willed —
they want their spouse under them
                        they want people under them

I have watched children learn about obedience
and getting along, sharing — sharing is
love — sharing is learning to walk hand-
                    in-hand

Some people do things just for dominance —
the song of their soul is — I will be
in control — no matter what — in
                    some way — I am over — I watch
people cry, to get the simplest task
                    accomplished. (This thinking is wrong.)

There is so much wasted time when a job
needs to be done and a person uses all these
manipulative tactics to be on top — it adds
utter confusion because the purpose is not
God's will, but if they are in control and
                if they win —
When asked if they will do something — their
will is so strong — they will go to any extent to
be the one who is giving the directions and is
                in control —

The religious order which follow Jesus —
live in at least - obedience and chastity —
telling the boss what to do usually doesn't
work at a job where one is being paid — but
for a very strong-willed person — they cannot have
relationships unless they are in control and
the other is willing to suffer to put "butter
                on the table" —

Everything is a challenge to them to be on top —
and their habits are so advanced to achieve this
in their manipulative mind — power is their god —
doing it their way — not working in a group —
                not obeying structure —

Somewhere they made the rule for themselves
I am going to control no matter what — it is
my god. They cannot have normal relationships
because they need to dominate for the sake of
control, not because it is God's will.

If put to the test — they let satan run the
show of making everyone wait and wait and
cry, while they are satisfied to watch them
                scamper under them.

Being like Mary is not being impure in
your actions. Mary was not jealous, envious,
                selfish, angry, condescending —

Mary shows us in scripture she was the handmaid
                of the Lord —

she even said it in the Magnificat

           The Magnificat

Luke 1: 46-55

And Mary said:

My soul proclaims
    the greatness of the Lord
and my spirit rejoices
    in God my Saviour;
because he has looked upon
    the humiliation of his servant.
Yes, from now onwards
all generations will call me blessed,
for the Almighty
has done great things for me.
Holy is his name,
and his faithful love extends age after age
    to those who fear him.
He has used the power of his arm,
he has routed the arrogant of heart.
He has pulled down princes
    from their thrones
        and raised high the lowly.
He has filled the starving with good things,
    sent the rich away empty.
He has come to the help
    of Israel his servant,
        mindful of his faithful love
—according to the promise
    he made to our ancestors—
of his mercy to Abraham
and to his descendants for ever.

                Jesus gives us Himself —
                    Jesus the new Adam
sweat blood doing the will of the Father
Jesus hung on the cross to His brutal
death for the sins of men.

What is this Movement — Shepherds of Christ — to
teach the poor banished children of Adam and
Eve about the obedience of Jesus, the
New Adam, and Mary, the handmaid
                    of the Lord.

What is consecration — it means to make holy
to give ones life to the pure and Sacred Heart of Jesus,
the one who obeyed His Father's will to His death
                    on the cross —
                    hanging on the cross -
                    Jesus teaches us about obedience

the cross in Clearwater is made from trees in Texas

                    Adam disobeyed
He ate the fruit from the forbidden tree

A selfish — self-willed person has not learned
the message of Jesus on the cross

A person who serves, but manipulates everything
for their own dominance has an impure motive —

The rule of life is living according to the
                Father's will

September 4, 2004

No matter how much you tell an adult, who
has made this promise to themselves to be over
in all relationships — they will not change
their heart unless they make the decision to
be under others according to structure and
according to God's will. They may do some things
to obey, but they may have secrets which they feel
give them power-over in the end —

The advancement in the spiritual life
is not control, but loving accordance to
God's will — to follow God's calling for
                whatever our vocation is.

If a person is argumentative and ready
to fight about anything to prove they are
right and will go to any extent to prove
they are right — constantly they have serious
issues that need to see what is so
threatening in their heart that they are like
a "loaded gun" trying to prove they are "right"
at all costs — even if their house burns down —
they are in such a fog screaming "I am right"
that, that is all that matters to them.

Jesus was not screaming "I am right"
on the cross. Jesus said: "Not My will, but
                Thine be done."

Mary says to us "Do whatever He tells
                you."

The wounded human nature says — "I am
right, I will be dominant, I want to be
over-you at all costs. I can rescue
you, because my "power" is threatened
and you need to be "weak" because I
am feeling "weak" and need to have power-over
you to get my "power" back." It is
dysfunctional to hurt others so I can
get my "weak, sheepish-self" to have
                "power" back.

Purity is found in the Hearts of Jesus
                and Mary.

Mary lived always by the Father's will,
Mary wasn't crying to Joseph or Jesus —
"I have my rights — you are wrong
Joseph" — Mary did the Father's will
in suffering and joy — Mary's rule
was this — doing the Father's will in
                love.

Jesus sweat Blood in the garden doing the
                Father's will.

Jesus gave His life doing the Father's
                will.

Jesus was in a garden —
Jesus paid for our sins —
                    Adam sinned in the garden
                    Jesus was put before Pilate
                    Jesus was sentenced to death
                    (Peter denied Jesus)
                    (Peter wasn't under the cross)
                    Jesus was mocked, spit on,
                        His flesh torn

                BUT JESUS DID THE FATHER'S

                    WILL

A person with strict moms and dads at
40 may still be rebelling against
them and trying to get their power
back after they have been around
                    the family.

Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the garden.
The sin at the beginning of the bible
is sin doing their own will.

                A STORY

A man was called to be a
priest — his whole life was lived
in being isolated and doing his
                    own thing —
he wanted no one over him
                    he didn't eat with anybody
finally he became so demanding —
he had to live by himself
                    permanently.

He could not be under a bishop

                        ______   ______  _______

The devil is very aware of structure —
                    if someone is blocking something
                    he wants done —
                    he encourages others to go-over
                        that person and make "trouble".

A normal person loves structure —
                    God works in structure
His power comes to us through
                        structure.
                    Structure according to God's
will is the way we are
                        empowered.

A person taking the lead on their
own is like Adam and Eve —

They have cut off the power.

What do you have when a
                    parish doesn't stay connected
to the pope — it is like a
                    ship lost at sea.

Structure is the way power is
                    released.

In an army, war — the individuals
on the "front" are to take orders
                    from a master plan —

It is devastation for a commander to
                    disobey those over-him   —
lots more lives are lost —
                    he is working against those
                    over-him.

It is the same if satan tries to get a person
to think they are above the structure
                    over us —
We are never over the structure over
                    us.
                    God works in structure —

Not obeying structure is what Adam and
Eve did — it affected all of us —

Jesus shows us obedience to His Father.
Mary shows us how to be a handmaid —

A person who wants dominance, wants
dominance — they try to tell the
person in authority what to do —
not in a helping way —
                    just to get control —
the things they are supposed to do — they
do half-heartedly to do with their own
                        initiative
Then it starts to become a habit.

                Who wins — I won here —
                    you followed me here —
just one more game to be over
                        and not obey

                Obedience is what God wants
                Obedience to the Church —
We are under the rules of the Church
                Children are under parents

When a divorce occurs — then the
                    basic structure is disturbed

The law has to be called in
division from a divorce is handled
                    Handled by the law.

                Things are not smooth
                Holidays are divided
                Vacations divided

                When I was 5 - my mom died —
I had no mother at five —
I learned to rely on Jesus at 5 —
I had to live without my natural mom —

Mary appeared to me later —
Jesus gave me the Blue Books to teach
                    me about love

Jesus died obeying the will of the Father —
Mary stood under the cross and watched
                    her Son die

The wounded human nature wants their
                    own will —
seeks dominance for dominance sake —
                    argues to be right —
                    manipulates for power not theirs
                        to have —
Does not see the big picture —

One of Fr. Carter's favorite quotes was this

Matthew 7: 21-23

‘It is not anyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," who will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but the person who does the will of my Father in heaven. When the day comes many will say to me, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name, work many miracles in your name?" Then I shall tell them to their faces: I have never known you; away from me, all evil doers!

Matthew 12: 46-50

He was still speaking to the crowds when suddenly his mother and his brothers were standing outside and were anxious to have a word with him. But to the man who told him this Jesus replied, ‘Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?’ And stretching out his hand towards his disciples he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers. Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.’

1 Corinthians 15: 20-28

In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life; but all of them in their proper order: Christ the first-fruits, and next, at his coming, those who belong to him. After that will come the end, when he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished every principality, every ruling force and power. For he is to be king until he has made his enemies his footstool, and the last of the enemies to be done away with is death, for he has put all things under his feet. But when it is said everything is subjected, this obviously cannot include the One who subjected everything to him. When everything has been subjected to him, then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.

Romans 12: 2

Do not model your behaviour on the contemporary world, but let the renewing of your minds transform you, so that you may discern for yourselves what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and mature.

Ephesians 5: 17

This is why you must not be thoughtless but must recognise what is the will of the Lord.

Colossians 4: 3-8

Pray for us especially, asking God to throw open a door for us to announce the message and proclaim the mystery of Christ, for the sake of which I am in chains; pray that I may proclaim it as clearly as I ought.

Act wisely with outsiders, making the best of the present time. Always talk pleasantly and with a flavour of wit but be sensitive to the kind of answer each one requires.

Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is a very dear brother, and a trustworthy helper and companion in the service of the Lord. I am sending him to you precisely for this purpose: to give you news about us and to encourage you thoroughly.

If we are to have oneness — we
        must operate according to the
        structure God intends — obeying
        God's will.

Look at Genesis — Adam and Eve
        sinned.

            Man became so corrupt God
flooded the earth and the descendents
        left all came from Noah
who were saved on the ark.

What should we say — the story of
"salvation history" is written in the
Bible. Jesus came and gave us the
        Church —

            The New Adam —
Eve came from side of Adam
The Church was born from the pierced
        Heart of Jesus.

Revelation 19: 5-10

Then a voice came from the throne; it said, 'Praise our God, you servants of his and those who fear him, small and great alike.' And I heard what seemed to be the voices of a huge crowd, like the sound of the ocean or the great roar of thunder, answering, 'Alleluia! The reign of the Lord our God Almighty has begun; let us be glad and joyful and give glory to God, because this is the time for the marriage of the Lamb. His bride is ready, and she has been able to dress herself in dazzling white linen, because her linen is made of the good deeds of the saints.' The angel said, 'Write this, "Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb," ' and he added, 'These words of God are true.' Then I knelt at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, ‘Never do that: I am your fellow–servant and the fellow–servant of all your brothers who have in themselves the witness of Jesus. God alone you must worship.’ The witness of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 21: 1-8

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne, 'Look, here God lives among human beings. He will make his home among them; they will be his people, and he will be their God, God-with-them. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness or pain. The world of the past has gone.'

Then the One sitting on the throne spoke. 'Look, I am making the whole of creation new. Write this, "What I am saying is trustworthy and will come true."' Then he said to me, 'It has already happened. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give water from the well of life free to anybody who is thirsty; anyone who proves victorious will inherit these things; and I will be his God and he will be my son. But the legacy for cowards, for those who break their word, or worship obscenities, for murderers and the sexually immoral, and for sorcerers, worshippers of false gods or any other sort of liars, is the second death in the burning lake of sulphur.'

Genesis Chapter 3

Now, the snake was the most subtle of all the wild animals that Yahweh God had made. It asked the woman, 'Did God really say you were not to eat from any of the trees in the garden?' The woman answered the snake, 'We may eat the fruit of the trees in the garden. But of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden God said, "You must not eat it, nor touch it, under pain of death." ' Then the snake said to the woman, 'No! You will not die! God knows in fact that the day you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods, knowing good from evil.' The woman saw that the tree was good to eat and pleasing to the eye, and that it was enticing for the wisdom that it could give. So she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened and they realised that they were naked. So they sewed fig-leaves together to make themselves loin-cloths.

The man and his wife heard the sound of Yahweh God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from Yahweh God among the trees of the garden. But Yahweh God called to the man. 'Where are you?' he asked. 'I heard the sound of you in the garden,' he replied. 'I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.' 'Who told you that you were naked?' he asked. 'Have you been eating from the tree I forbade you to eat?' The man replied, 'It was the woman you put with me; she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.' Then Yahweh God said to the woman, 'Why did you do that?' The woman replied, 'The snake tempted me and I ate.'

Then Yahweh God said to the snake, 'Because you have done this,

    Accursed be you
of all animals wild and tame!
On your belly you will go
and on dust you will feed
    as long as you live.
    I shall put enmity
    between you and the woman,
    and between your offspring and hers;
    it will bruise your head
and you will strike its heel.'

    To the woman he said:

I shall give you intense pain
        in childbearing,
you will give birth to your children
        in pain.
Your yearning will be for your husband,
    and he will dominate you.

To the man he said, 'Because you listened to the voice of your wife and ate from the tree of which I had forbidden you to eat,

Accursed be the soil because of you!
Painfully will you get your food from it
    as long as you live.
It will yield you brambles and thistles,
as you eat the produce of the land.
By the sweat of your face

    will you earn you food,
until you return to the ground,
as you were taken from it.
    For dust you are
and to dust you shall return.

The man named his wife 'Eve' because she was the mother of all those who live. Yahweh God made tunics of skins for the man and his wife and clothed them. Then Yahweh God said, 'Now that the man has become like one of us in knowing good from evil, he must not be allowed to reach out his hand and pick from the tree of life too, and eat and live for ever!' So Yahweh God expelled him from the garden of Eden, to till the soil from which he had been taken. He banished the man, and in front of the garden of Eden he posted the great winged creatures and the fiery flashing sword, to guard the way to the tree of life.

        Spiritual Blindness

Psalm 95: 7-11

For he is our God,
and we the people of his sheepfold,
the flock of his hand.

If only you would listen to him today!
Do not harden your hearts as at Meribah,
as at the time of Massah in the desert,
when your ancestors challenged me,
put me to the test, and saw what I could do!

For forty years that generation sickened me,
and I said, Always fickle hearts;
they cannot grasp my ways.
Then in my anger I swore
they would never enter my place of rest.

We must be open to God
Hear what we need to change in our heart
            Not be defensive
Not have a hardened, bitter heart —
            Angry heart —

        Jesus heals the whole person

                                                                                                .
                                                                                                .
                                                                                                .

                                                                                       (the Sacraments of the Church)

                Jesus outpours abundant life to
                    us in the sacraments
In the world the good is made to
                    look evil many times —
Evil is made to look good many times.

                                            (many times)

Only God's ways lead to happiness

The more Christ increases in me the
                    happier I am

John the Baptist said — "He must increase
                    I must decrease"

When we stand up — like a prophet
we may be met with ridicule —
                    people don't want to change
they want it their way — many of
them — even when it is wrong

We have only so many years to help
                    spread the Kingdom for future
                    generations

Look at Pope John Paul II

                    Look at Fr. Carter

God wants us to be loving
We are here to build up His Kingdom
                We are to spread peace

Concupiscence — weakness of the flesh
People in the world can try to
                        judge by the world

                We must obey the commandments
We must live by His Word

People in the world can be competing
                    with God's plan

We are here to be more and more like
                    the image of Christ

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

-God's Blue Book, January 17, 1994

A Hardened, Bitter Heart - keeps us
                    stuck

God wants us to open our heart
We are given the gift of confession
Confession is a chance to heal our
                    woundedness

The Church, where the tabernacle is,
can be empty all day and the
concerts and ball games are packed.

We live in a society of ill-informed
                    consciences

Sin, to many, has become "common place".
We must recognize the voice of the
                    Good Shepherd.

John 10: 11-15

I am the good shepherd:
the good shepherd lays down his life
   for his sheep.
The hired man,
since he is not the shepherd
and the sheep do not belong to him,
abandons the sheep
as soon as he sees a wolf coming,
   and runs away,
and then the wolf attacks
   and scatters the sheep;
he runs away
because he is only a hired man
and has no concern for the sheep.
I am the good shepherd;
I know my own
and my own know me,
just as the Father knows me
and I know the Father;
and I lay down my life for my sheep.

Galatians 2: 19-20

...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

John 15: 1-8

I am the true vine,
and my Father is the vinedresser.
Every branch in me that bears no fruit
he cuts away,
and every branch that does bear fruit
     he prunes
to make it bear even more.
You are clean already,
by means of the word
that I have spoken to you.
Remain in me, as I in you.
As a branch cannot bear fruit all by itself,
unless it remains part of the vine,
neither can you unless you remain in me.
I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Whoever remains in me, with me in him,
bears fruit in plenty;
for cut off from me you can do nothing.
Anyone who does not remain in me
is thrown away like a branch
—and withers;
these branches are collected
     and thrown on the fire
and are burnt.
If you remain in me
and my words remain in you,
you may ask for whatever you please
and you will get it.
It is to the glory of my Father
that you should bear much fruit
and be my disciples.

The more we are one with God —
                    we find rest

We can focus on trying to find happiness
in persons, place and things —
We can marry and 3 years down the
                    line we are empty

We must do all things for the honor and
glory of God if we really want to
                    be happy.

We must search for the truth.

John 14: 6

Jesus said:

I am the Way; I am Truth and Life.
No one can come to the Father
    except through me.

All of us, human creatures, but Mary, are wounded
                    by original sin.

After the fall — men looked at each
                    other imperfectly.

There is tension between us because of
                    original sin

                We are self-centered

There is tension between men and women.

The harmony is broken because of
                    original sin

                Catholics believe human nature is
                    wounded by original sin

                We have a free will
                    1) to love
                    2) to do God's will —

We can choose to not love and not do
                    God's will

People enslaved in sin have disobeyed
                    God's will

With Cain, we see premeditated sin —
Cain had a choice to kill or
                    not kill Abel.

                God chooses us
God tells us about Himself in His creation

                God is the "I Am"

                God is

We see with limited vision —

God put Mary's image on the building in
                    Clearwater

The head of the image was knocked off

                Noah was pleasing to God

The human race at the time of Noah
                    had become very evil.

Genesis 7: 11-24

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, and on the seventeenth day of the month, that very day all the springs of the great deep burst through, and the sluices of heaven opened. And heavy rain fell on earth for forty days and forty nights. That very day Noah and his sons Shem, Ham and Japheth boarded the ark, with Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons, and with them every species of wild animal, every species of cattle, every species of creeping things that creep along the ground, every species of bird, everything that flies, everything with wings. One pair of all that was alive and had the breath of life boarded the ark with Noah, and those that went aboard were a male and female of all that was alive, as God had commanded him. Then Yahweh shut him in.

The flood lasted forty days on earth. The waters swelled, lifting the ark until it floated off the ground. The waters rose, swelling higher above the ground, and the ark drifted away over the waters. The waters rose higher and higher above the ground until all the highest mountains under the whole of heaven were submerged. The waters reached their peak fifteen cubits above the submerged mountains. And all living things that stirred on earth perished; birds, cattle, wild animals, all the creatures swarming over the earth, and all human beings. Everything with the least breath of life in its nostrils, everything on dry land, died. Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out, people, animals, creeping things and birds; they were wiped off the earth and only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark. The waters maintained their level on earth for a hundred and fifty days.

Genesis 9: 11-17

And I shall maintain my covenant with you: that never again shall all living things be destroyed by the waters of a flood, nor shall there ever again be a flood to devastate the earth.’

‘And this’, God said, ‘is the sign of the covenant which I now make between myself and you and every living creature with you for all ages to come: I now set my bow in the clouds and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I gather the clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds, I shall recall the covenant between myself and you and every living creature, in a word all living things, and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all living things. When the bow is in the clouds I shall see it and call to mind the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth, that is, all living things.’ ‘That’, God told Noah, ‘is the sign of the covenant I have established between myself and all living things on earth.’

                Order —

God wanted 2 of all the animals
                        on the Ark

Hebrews 11: 1-40

Only faith can guarantee the blessings that we hope for, or prove the existence of realities that are unseen. It is for their faith that our ancestors are acknowledged.

It is by faith that we understand that the ages were created by a word from God, so that from the invisible the visible world came to be.

It was because of his faith that Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain, and for that he was acknowledged as upright when God himself made acknowledgement of his offerings. Though he is dead, he still speaks by faith.

It was because of his faith that Enoch was taken up and did not experience death: he was no more, because God took him; because before his assumption he was acknowledged to have pleased God. Now it is impossible to please God without faith, since anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and rewards those who seek him.

It was through his faith that Noah, when he had been warned by God of something that had never been seen before, took care to build an ark to save his family. His faith was a judgement on the world, and he was able to claim the uprightness which comes from faith.

It was by faith that Abraham obeyed the call to set out for a country that was the inheritance given to him and his descendants, and that he set out without knowing where he was going. By faith he sojourned in the Promised Land as though it were not his, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. He looked forward to the well-founded city, designed and built by God.

It was equally by faith that Sarah, in spite of being past the age, was made able to conceive, because she believed that he who had made the promise was faithful to it.

Because of this, there came from one man, and one who already had the mark of death on him, descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven and the grains of sand on the seashore which cannot be counted.

All these died in faith, before receiving any of the things that had been promised, but they saw them in the far distance and welcomed them, recognising that they were only strangers and nomads on earth. People who use such terms about themselves make it quite plain that they are in search of a homeland. If they had meant the country they came from, they would have had the opportunity to return to it; but in fact they were longing for a better homeland, their heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, since he has founded the city for them.

It was by faith that Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac. He offered to sacrifice his only son even though he had yet to receive what had been promised, and he had been told: Isaac is the one through whom your name will be carried on. He was confident that God had the power even to raise the dead; and so, figuratively speaking, he was given back Isaac from the dead.

It was by faith that this same Isaac gave his blessing to Jacob and Esau for the still distant future. By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph's sons, bowed in reverence, as he leant on his staff. It was by faith that, when he was about to die, Joseph mentioned the Exodus of the Israelites and gave instructions about his own remains.

It was by faith that Moses, when he was born, was kept hidden by his parents for three months; because they saw that he was a fine child; they were not afraid of the royal edict. It was by faith that, when he was grown up, Moses refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter and chose to be ill-treated in company with God's people rather than to enjoy the transitory pleasures of sin. He considered that the humiliations offered to the Anointed were something more precious than all the treasures of Egypt, because he had his eyes fixed on the reward. It was by faith that he left Egypt without fear of the king's anger; he held to his purpose like someone who could see the Invisible. It was by faith that he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood to prevent the Destroyer from touching any of their first-born sons. It was by faith they crossed the Red Sea as easily as dry land, while the Egyptians, trying to do the same, were drowned.

It was through faith that the walls of Jericho fell down when the people had marched round them for seven days. It was by faith that Rahab the prostitute welcomed the spies and so was not killed with the unbelievers.

What more shall I say? There is not time for me to give an account of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, or of David, Samuel and the prophets. These were men who through faith conquered kingdoms, did what was upright and earned the promises. They could keep a lion's mouth shut, put out blazing fires and emerge unscathed from battle. They were weak people who were given strength to be brave in war and drive back foreign invaders. Some returned to their wives from the dead by resurrection; and others submitted to torture, refusing release so that they would rise again to a better life. Some had to bear being pilloried and flogged, or even chained up in prison. They were stoned, or sawn in half, or killed by the sword; they were homeless, and wore only the skins of sheep and goats; they were in want and hardship, and maltreated. They were too good for the world and they wandered in deserts and mountains and in caves and ravines. These all won acknowledgment through their faith, but they did not receive what was promised, since God had made provision for us to have something better, and they were not to reach perfection except with us.
