in the middle of a hurricane
and the wind presses on all sides.
You may feel great fear,
but you know My presence is always with you.
It is pressure that you feel on all sides.
That which is outside is totally unpredictable
and yet you must endure the suffering
for what else can you do?

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, and on the seventeenth day of the month, that very day all the springs of the great deep burst through, and the sluices of heaven opened. And heavy rain fell on earth for forty days and forty nights.
The flood lasted forty days on earth. The waters swelled, lifting the ark until it floated off the ground. The waters rose, swelling higher above the ground, and the ark drifted away over the waters. Pressure can come from inside or
outside. It can be real pressure as just
mentioned. Because of the outside pressure,
one experiences deep pressure inside,
it can be physical, like wind and
rain, it can be mental, which is
untouched although majorly real to
the individual.
What is reality, one in a hurricane
faces a reality of uncontrollable events.

A person who has just experienced
heart surgery, and things are seemingly
touch and go, has the uncontrollable
events of that situation, and also
the trauma that goes with it,
mental pressure.
You may feel you are on Noah's
ark in a hurricane, but let's talk
about Noah and the people on the
Ark.
Today the technology is so
advanced, the report so vivid one
may think the news in a
hurricane has a broadcast
system, on the other side of the
hurricane shutters and the news,
you may think could almost tell
you when the big wave could
smash your dwelling.
Noah was on the ark,
his broadcast system was God.
He didn't need the modern
technology, Noah knew he
needed the ark, God told him
He wanted him to survive.
We all may experience pressures
within and pressures without,
being in a hurricane reminds us
of Noah's ark — they did not sink,
they were spared —
the hand of God was definitely
upon them.

Fools rush in where angels
fear to go.
Jesus speaks: I
give you the high winds and
the rains, that you may see that
you do not control your boats.
I control the elements.
And although you may tell
yourself your spools of thread are
all in a row and to you that is
what matters, in one second I
can take you from your place,
a major wind and rain may
envelope your neatly placed
spools of thread.
One thing is indeedly certain,
you do not control the elements,
a woman or man may think
they control the thread of old
age but in the end the old body
eventually dies and the person
must surrender like it or not.
Do you have the vision of
yourself, standing by the coffin
that was meant for you and
saying, "Not me, I ain't going
in there." As if up to the
end you can really control such
matters. "I ain't going in there."
Death is a natural process
for the body, you live so long
and then you die, your bodies
go underground and decay,
the food for maggots.
Let's look at the theater.
A "hot" movie was playing and
they packed the house. When
the movie was over the ushers
were there to usher people out.
One man enjoyed the movie so
much would not get up from
his seat, no matter what the usher
said he just wasn't going to leave.
How silly you say, he caused
a spectacle. The ushers prodded
him, there was a scene and
the old man wouldn't budge.
He can be likened to the man
wearing his war fatigues, carrying
his gun and he had been
discharged from the service long
ago and the war was over.
Standing by your casket,
saying to yourself, "Catch me
if you can, I ain't get'n in."
Now look at the mysteries of
the rosary. In meditating on the
mysteries of the rosary, you learn
in the death there is the resurrection,
this is the paschal mystery.
A woman in labor soon gives
birth to the child. Every woman
that was pregnant knows as
the child gets bigger and bigger —
they are growing —
they are alive —
and they can't stay where they
are at.
You are on a spiritual journey,
you are growing more and more
and you can't stay where you're
at. The body will soon decay
and you must move to another
place. Your soul moves on, you
cannot make the body last.
Your life is like a constant
pressure here below. The body
is corruptible no matter what you
do to maintain it.
A man ate "seaweed #2"
his whole life. At long last
in his 60's they found a defect
in something at the base of the
brain and he died in 3 months.
Many in the troubled earth stand
by their coffin and fail to recognize
that one day all will be laid
to rest.
