Excerpt from Response in Christ - Chapter 4 by Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J.

In schematic outline we have discussed the manner in which the baptized Christian extends his Mass to his daily existence. As he so lives out his Mass, he is becoming more Christlike. He becomes a more perfect priest and victim for his next participation in the eucharistic sacrifice.42 The beautiful cycle which the Mass contains lies exposed before us. As part of this cycle the Christian is intimately involved in the process of continued redemption. The Mass is the center of the Christian life: ". . . the liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed; at the same time it is the fount from which all her power flows."43

Jesus: I call you to live your lives as devout members of the mystical body of Christ. I have given these writings that men will realize that they are to live united deeply to the Mass going on around the world. Your lives, given as an offering, a sacrifice every moment in union with the Mass going on around the world. Your life, a sacrifice, offered to the Father, in union with the Mass in oneness with Me, in the Holy Spirit through the intercession of the Blessed Mother with all the angels and saints and the souls in purgatory.

Your lives given as members of My mystical body can help to bring down great graces for the priest, the Church and the world.

Excerpt from Response in Christ - Chapter 4 by Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J.

"How does the Christian help Christ redeem the world? (Henceforth the term "world" is to be understood as including both rational and nonrational creation.) As previously stated, the Christian helps Christ redeem the world by reliving Christ's mysteries. The same "events" or mysteries which accomplished the objective redemption further the subjective redemption also. Since at the heart of Christ's mysteries are His death and Resurrection, it is especially these that the Christian must relive. As the Christian dies mystically with Christ through loving conformity with the Father's will, he rises with Christ to an ever greater share in the Resurrection, in the newness of life, in the life of grace. As the Christian in this manner relives the paschal mystery of Christ, he is accomplishing not only his own redemption, but he is also, in a mysterious yet real manner, helping Christ redeem the world."

Joyful Mysteries

The Annunciation

l. R. The angel appeared to the Virgin Mary and asked her to be the Mother of God.

2. R. We are so focused on so many incidentals in our lives today. God came into this world because of His great love for us. There are so many distractions in our life that press on us and keep us from this realization of the great gift that we are given that He is alive and that He lives in our hearts when we are baptized and in the state of grace.

3. R. In this rosary let us open our hearts wide and let the Almighty God fill our hearts and our souls with this grace and His love. These are rosaries from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Whenever we pray the rosary, Mary promised that she will be present in a special way and also her Son, Jesus, would be here. Jesus has promised over and over again that as we pray the rosary He will give great healing touches to our hearts and fill us with abundant grace. Let us open our hearts so that He may penetrate our hearts and fill our souls with His grace and with His love.

4. Song: A Song from Jesus

5. R. Mary had such love for the Father, wishing always to please Him. As a little child she loved the Father and wanted always to do His will. Mary was chosen to be the Mother of God.

6. R. We should respect and honor the Virgin Mary for the Father chose her from all women to be the Mother of His Son. Mary, who was sinless, was given this great honor, to be the Mother of God. It is in looking at our Mother Mary, and modeling our lives after her, that we too will be more like Mary.

7. R. Think of the little baby Jesus conceived in the womb of His Mother through the power of the Holy Spirit. Think of God within the womb of a human person – this is the love that He has for us, that He came into this world a little baby. Who are we that we are so high and mighty in our hearts, Mary comes we are filled with pride and thoughts of getting ahead, and the Almighty God shows us the way: He comes into this world a little baby.

8. R. Jesus was formed in the womb of His Mother, the Almighty God – His Most Sacred Heart was formed within His Mother. How close the intimacy between Jesus and His Mother for Their Hearts were in the same body, the life from His Mother flowed into Jesus’ body.

9. R. God is the source of life and within this life flows through to the embryo. The embryo is dependent upon the mother for this life which flows into them. Mary is our Mother. The times ahead will be very hard and very tough but, in realizing Mary is our Mother, we will be protected by her, if we think of ourselves in our deepest trouble, when we feel that we are being pressed on and it is so hard, if we think of ourselves going to the spiritual womb of Mary, and that our needs are provided for us, we will have peace in times of intense struggle going to Mary's Immaculate Heart. We go to the spiritual womb of Mary, to the heart of Mary, and she mothers us as she mothered and cared for her Son, Jesus.

10. Jesus: My dear ones, the times ahead will be hard. You must focus within. You must come to our Hearts and dwell in our Hearts, for it is in our Hearts that you will be filled with such love.

Song: Oh, Holy Mary

The Visitation

l. From Our Lady of Fatima's Peace Plan from Heaven, p.11

“One day, while Lucy (now Sister Lucia) was kneeling in prayer in the convent chapel (December 10, 1925), the Blessed Mother and the Christ Child appeared to her with a new and wonderful message for souls. The first to speak was the Christ Child, who said: “Have pity on the heart of your Most Holy Mother. It is covered with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment, and there is no one to remove them with an act of reparation.”

Holding in her hand a heart encircled with sharp thorns, Our Lady then said to Sister Lucia: “My child, behold my heart surrounded with thorns which ungrateful men place therein at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. You at least try to console me. Announce in my name that I promise to assist at the hour of death with all the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, go to Confession and receive Holy Communion, recite the Rosary, and keep me company for a quarter of an hour while meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to me.”

R. Mary is blasphemed by so many in her Motherhood, her Virginity and her Immaculate Conception. The children are taught to not respect and honor their Mother. Many of her images are defaced. These are the blasphemies against our Holy Mother. The reason we do the rosary on the 5th of the month is that we meditate on the mysteries, the gentleness and the tenderness of Mary, her love for Jesus and for all of her children, and meditate how she is treated with such ungratefulness and hatred by so many of her children.

2. R. Mary made haste to the hill country to be with her cousin Elizabeth and when she arrived the baby in Elizabeth’s womb leapt for joy at the sight of Mary and the presence of Jesus.

3. R. Jesus is alive this day. He lives within our hearts. We feel the presence of our friend that is next to us. God is so present to us this day and we do not realize the presence many times.

4. R. The babe within the womb of Elizabeth leapt with joy at the presence of the Almighty God. We should realize how truly present God is this day. He remains with us in the Holy Eucharist in His Divinity and humanity.

5. R. The same presence that was within the womb of the Virgin Mary and the child within Elizabeth leapt for joy, we receive the Almighty God within us when we go to the Holy Eucharist.

6. R. Jesus longs and thirsts to be so close to us but there is within each one of us a craving and a longing – an appetite that is so strong for His love and many times we do not realize how we are longing and thirsting for His love. We go to so many things in this world to try to fill the craving in our soul when the Almighty God is waiting for us in the tabernacle, to come and to talk to Him.

7. R. A visit from Jesus. Jesus loves us so much that the Almighty God remains with us, always there in the tabernacle, waiting for us to come, and He is neglected and forgotten, and ignored. People walk in front of the tabernacle and talk and do not even respect Jesus and love Jesus as He deserves. Today is First Friday. His Heart is surrounded by thorns, for this indifference and neglect. Mary carried the child Jesus within her womb, she went to visit her cousin Elizabeth and the child within her womb leapt for joy.  Look at how we treat God this day. He remains with us, waiting for us to come and to be with Him.

8. R. The power is in the Eucharist, for the Almighty God is truly present and with us. Our hearts are in anguish and pain and we look in so many places and God waits in all the tabernacles of the world for hungry souls to come and to be with Him and He cries out, “ how few souls come to Me and tell Me of their love.”

 9. R. If we saw Mary this day, if we saw her and she was carrying the child Jesus, we would be so overjoyed. But Jesus comes to us and gives us Himself in the Holy Eucharist.

10. Jesus: My dear ones, focus on My presence with you. When the priest lifts up the consecrated host, realize that I am truly present in consecrated host, and that I am waiting for you and longing for you to be with Me. Your hearts are at unrest until they rest in Me.

The Birth of Jesus

l. R. Jesus loved us so much that He came into this world a baby.

2. Song: From the Day you were Born

3. R. The gentle heart of the Child Jesus – how tenderly He loves each one of us and He came into this world a little child because He wanted us to love Him. Look at the hearts of men this day. So cold and hard are the hearts of many men but Jesus comes and shows us His gentle Heart. Jesus, teach us to have hearts like little children, that we will live to please our heavenly Father, that we will not be haughty and prideful but within our hearts that we will be gentle and kind as the heart of a little child, a heart that does not hold anger and resentment, but a heart that forgives and loves.

4. R. Look at the scene at Bethlehem and see the Child Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary and Joseph. Look at the eyes of Mary as she gazes into the eyes of her beloved Son. Think of what it would be like to look into the eyes of the Almighty God. God lives in each one of us. You look into the eyes of your brother with such anger and hatred and greed. If you look into the eyes of your brother and see Jesus, how would you treat our brother?

5. R. Within the heart is found many treasures and in the heart of many is found much anger and coldness and hatred. The key to opening our hearts is to look at all the unforgiveness, bitterness and anger that we harbor for our brother. God is love. To unite to love itself,  the hearts must be pure without anger and hatred.

6. R. Look into the eyes of the Child Jesus as Mary looked into His eyes. Do you see - see the light in His eyes, and the beauty? Let us look into the eyes of all of our brothers and see the reflection of the God that lives within - see ourselves that were created by the Father with such love. Let’s ask God for the grace to help us to look at all our brothers and to see in their eyes the reflection of Jesus.

7. R. There are so many hearts this day that are hard and cold for they are looking for love. We are creatures of love, created by the Father to be loved and to give love. Many have turned their hearts off. They have turned their hearts to hearts of stone. It is in spreading the messages of God’s love, of uniting our hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary that we will receive more abundantly His life in us and His love in this cold, dark world today.

8. R. Above the stable in Bethlehem there was a star that shone and it was so bright and filled with radiant light. Within each one of us, when we are in the state of grace, there is an immense light for the Almighty God lives within us in a special way. Look into the hearts of all of our brothers and see the creation of the Father in them, for as we love our brothers, we are loving Jesus in them.

9. R. Jesus came to this earth and He wanted to be loved. He is here this day. He is alive and He is asking us to put aside all division, unforgiveness, hatred and anger in our hearts, to have hearts like little children and to love one another.

10. Song: Silent Night

R. His way is love. His way is peace. His way is light. He is calling us to give our hearts to Him, to give our hearts to Our Lady for it is in her heart that the Holy Spirit lives in such action that we are molded more into His image and likeness. The key to love in our hearts is to give our hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

The Presentation in the Temple

l. Song: Little Child

2. R. See, in these mysteries of the rosary, the gentleness, the tenderness, the love between Son and Mother, the Hearts that beat within the same body for two mysteries of the rosary. The Child that nursed at the breast of His Mother. As we meditate on these mysteries of the rosary, we see Jesus as a child, we see His humility and His love for us that God came to this earth a little baby for love of us. He shows us that He came in the womb of His Mother Mary. It is in going through Mary that we will unite in deep love with our beloved Jesus.

3. R. See the tender touch of Mary as she carried the Child Jesus to the temple and she is met by the prophet Simeon who tells her of the immense sufferings to come.

4. R. Oh heart of Mary, let us come to your kind and gentle heart and dwell in your heart, for within your heart are so many treasures, for you pondered always the ways of your Son within your heart that you knew and loved God: the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. We want to go to your heart and to dwell in your heart and be filled with the permeating action, action of the Holy Spirit that our hearts will be hearts of love - hearts that will be the love of the Almighty God. In this dark and cold world this day we will not harbor hatred and anger but will radiate the life of God that is alive within us.

5. R. Then the Most Holy Virgin said, “Look, my daughter at my heart, surrounded with thorns, with which ungrateful men pierce me at every moment with their blasphemies and ingratitude. You, at least try to console me in announcing my name. I promise to assist in the moment of death, with all graces necessary for salvation, all those that on the First Saturdays of five consecutive months attend Mass, Confession and meditation on the rosary." How serious are we in observing this First Saturday devotion? Mary said at Fatima that the peace of the world depends on three things in particular: consecration of our hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, praying the rosary, and the First Saturday devotion. We see that Mary’s heart was pierced with a sword, but she appeared and told us how her heart is pierced because of the ingratitude of men. Think of how Mary is neglected today in her motherhood. She is a the singular vessel. Mary is our Mother, given to us by Jesus under the cross. It is through her heart that we know the Almighty God in such love. Let’s ask Mary to take our heart now and to take our heart to the deepest recesses of the Heart of her Son that we may be united in such deep love of the Almighty God.

6. R. Within the Heart of Mary are such treasures. As we go to the heart of Mary, she will fill us more and more with this love that the world needs.

7. R. We see how her heart was pierced with a sword, for from the prophecy of Simeon she carried this knowledge with her at every moment, and her heart was always in a constant state of pain from the prophecy of Simeon, but in this pain Mary loved and was so pure.

8. Hail Mary

9. R. Think of how it would be to dwell within the heart of Mary, how it would be to read the scriptures as Mary would read them, to act the way that Mary would act, to love the way that Mary would love. We pray to our heavenly Mother, to take our hearts, to ask the Holy Spirit to transform our hearts to hearts on fire with God’s love, that this fire will radiate on this earth and that the earth will be lighted with the Hearts of Mary and Jesus, with the burning love of the Almighty God.

10. R. Mary looked into the face of her Son on the way to Calvary and she saw His love for men. So much she saw when she looked into His eyes! Look at this world this day. Look how we treat the Almighty God. This is the same God that gave Himself for us, that came to this earth a little baby and look how He is treated! This is why Mary appeared to me every day for l4 months to deliver the message that we must turn our hearts to the Heart of her Son.

The Finding in the Temple

1. R. I am here to deliver a message that I have received over and over again from our heavenly Mother about the lost children of this world. Mary said we must stop offending God, and we must turn our hearts to Him, that many, many souls were being lost and that they are falling into hell like rain. This is the message that I received over and over again from our heavenly Mother: If we do not stop offending God, there will be many wars that will break out.

2. R. There will be war in our hearts, wars in our families, wars among nations, wars. Mary gives to us the peace plan for the world. It is centered in giving our hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. When we give our hearts to Jesus and Mary, our hearts are hearts of love.

3. R. Mary tells us to pray the rosary. In meditating on the lives of Jesus and Mary, their lives become alive in our lives and we model our actions after their actions.

4. R. These rosaries are rosaries given from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary to us. They are teaching tools that will teach us about the love of Jesus and Mary. They show us our heart. Jesus spreads His hands on both sides of His Heart, a Heart that is crowned with thorns. Mary comes and shows us her heart, surrounded with thorns. Men are offending God today. Mary said that we must stop offending Him and give our hearts to her and to Jesus and pray the rosary and observe the First Saturday devotion in reparation for the ingratitude of man.

5. R. Mary told me over and over again about her little lost children. It is so hard to see Mary and to hear this and to know that souls are going into hell, and it is through this movement, the Shepherds of Christ Movement, that the consecration will spread around the earth and that hearts will be turned to hearts of love. If hearts are consecrated to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, there will not be wars, there will not be anger or bitterness, there will not be hatred, there will be peace.

6. R. Mary went to the temple to look for her Son, but she is searching today for her lost children and many will not pay any attention to their Mother. She wants to lead them home to the Heart of her Son.

7. R. Oh, Heart of Jesus, we love You, we adore You and we worship You. We are so sorry for the indifferences and the ingratitude against Your Heart and we want to comfort You and tell You of our immense love for You. Oh, Sacred Heart of Jesus, You are so beautiful, so kind and loving. Help us to love You more and more. Give us the grace that our greatest desire in life is to love God more and more.

8. Jesus: I have given to you rosaries from the Hearts of Jesus and Mary to help spread My burning love throughout this world. I am asking you to turn your hearts to hearts of love and to help to spread the rosary, for when people pray the rosary their hearts are turned to gentle, kind and loving hearts.

9. Jesus: My Mother Mary is searching for the lost hearts in this world. Will you help? Will you help Me to reach these hearts that are cold and hard, with the fire of My love. I am longing for hearts to come to Me, to tell Me of their love. I came, a little child, into this world, for I longed for love. Come to My Heart and love Me with all your heart. I am Jesus. I love  you, I love you, I love you. I am kind and gentle of heart.

10. Jesus: You must spread the consecration throughout this earth. When hearts consecrate their hearts to My Heart and to My Mother’s heart, you will have peace in your world.

Song: Let There be Peace on Earth

R. Let there be one happy family, with God as our Father and Mary as our Mother. Let us vow to spread this consecration in the Shepherds of Christ Movement fervently throughout this world for there will be an era of peace and the Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph but we must rid our hearts of all hatred, anger and bitterness, for hearts divided will not unite with the hearts of love. God is love. In order to be one in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, we must trade all division in our hearts for our brothers and love them.

Jesus: Will you give Me your heart? Will you put aside all of the anger in your heart and come to Me, for I will fill you with My burning love and My light will shine on your eyes and your face. You, I have called as My apostles, My apostles of love. I am giving you abundant grace that you will shine in the dark night. On this 5th of July l996, I am asking you to be children of the light to shine in the darkened world. Your lights will shine when your hearts are consecrated to Our Hearts. Do not underestimate the sufferings that will occur if men insist on ignoring God.

July 9, 1996

This rosary was led by Fr. Carter on Tuesday, July the 9, 1996 during the Shepherds of Christ Associates Meeting at Tom Arlinghaus's farm. The meditations and messages were given to Rita Ring during the rosary. All meditations have been discerned by Fr. Edward J. Carter S.J.

Sorrowful Mysteries

The Agony in the Garden

  1. Jesus: Put aside all of the thoughts in your heart that do not pertain to Me. You are distracted by many things in your hearts. It is in this rosary that I will give you abundant grace, and you will grow more and more in My love.

  2. We see Jesus as He kneels in the garden. Jesus: You will be tested and tried, My beloved one. You will grow from these trials for I am giving to you great grace. You do not know of the sufferings that you will experience, but I am with you at every moment. You must surrender and come to My Heart for it is there that you will find refuge from the darkest night. I will never leave you. I am Jesus. I am with you at every moment. Do you feel My presence within your heart? Come to Me and know My precious love for you.

  3. I see Jesus in the garden. How many times we have suffered in our lives, felt the suffering so deep within our hearts? Do we know from this suffering a little of the immense pain that Jesus suffered in the garden? Think of Jesus in the garden. He was in such anguish that He sweat blood. How little are these trials that He gives to us! We carry our cross on our backs with glum faces and feel upset in our hearts. Jesus showed us the way. He showed us His suffering. He asked us to meditate on His suffering that we will know more His great love for us.

  4. I look back, Jesus, to the messages in the Second Blue Book - so many messages on surrender and letting go. So long ago, two and a half years ago, but today I am learning to surrender, surrender, surrender. I thought, then, that I knew the meaning of the word "surrender", but I see today I know so little of the meaning of this word. I know only by Your grace that I will surrender and give myself to You.

  5. We see Jesus as He kneels in the garden of Gethsemane, and we know how He surrendered to the will of the Father. It is in living according to the will of the Father that we will have peace and joy in our lives. Jesus shows us the way. If we meditate on the mysteries of this rosary, His life will live in our lives.

  6. I opened the Second Blue Book, today, to the message that says, "Jesus wants both feet off the ground." At the time I received this message, January 18th 1994, I thought I knew what it was to surrender for I had surrendered so many things already. But I learn more and more each day how I need to surrender, and it is only through Him that I will surrender. I see Jesus in the garden, His face covered with a bloody sweat, and I know that He surrendered to the will of the Father.

  7. Why are we here? Why are we gathered here to pray this rosary? What is God asking of each of us? God is asking us to give ourselves to help in the salvation of souls. For nine months our Blessed Lady called out to me, and told me of her children that were going to hell. I know, as if deeply engraved in my heart, the reality of souls going to hell this day. It is this pain that I feel in my heart that helps me to go on and to help, as much as I can, with the work of saving souls.

  8. I see Jesus in the garden, and He looks all alone. The Apostles are asleep, and His face is covered with blood. I see Him there with agony in His face and tension in His body, and within His Heart He knows all of His precious souls that will neglect Him and forget Him despite His suffering. Jesus: Do you know what it is, My beloved ones, to love, to love, and to be ignored?

  9. Over and over again, I experienced the suffering of Jesus, before the tabernacle, for the souls that neglect Him and treat Him with such indifference. He called out, "Tell them! Tell them how I am longing and waiting for them to come to Me!" It is such agony to know that Jesus loves His precious souls so much, and He is ignored - Jesus, the Heart of burning love.

  10. This is the message that He has delivered over and over again - "I am alive! I am alive! I am alive, and I am longing and thirsting for My precious souls to come and to tell Me of their love." He calls out, "Bring Me souls! Bring Me souls!" It is in our prayers and sacrifices, it is in proceeding steadfastly ahead in the struggles and all the trials, that we help in the work of redemption. It is so important that we identify, in our lives, with Him, that we give our hearts to Jesus and Mary and that our every act be united to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, that grace might be poured out on this darkened world for the salvation of souls. This is why He has called us here. This is why our heavenly Mother appeared over and over again. This is why He sweat blood in the garden of Gethsemane. He would have suffered more because He loves so much. His greatest agony was the agony that He suffered for the souls that would neglect Him and treat Him with indifference and then would be lost forever to the fires of hell.

The Scourging at the Pillar

  1. And so we wake and we go through the day, and we go to bed each night, and we go through many trials and sufferings, and it seems, many times, that we would like to quit. Look at Jesus. See Him, His hands tied to the pillar. See Him as He stands there, and the men come with their sharp instruments to beat Him.

  2. Song: I have called you by name....

  3. Why would God come and talk to us? This situation is so urgent. This world has turned to such sin. Mary appeared at Fatima, and she told men that they must stop offending God. She gave them a peace plan. They ignored our heavenly Mother, and there was World War II. See Jesus at the pillar. Mary wants us to meditate on the mysteries of the rosary so that His life will live in our lives. Today the world is in such a sorry state. He has called us as His apostles to go into the world so that He will live in us and minister to His beloved souls through us. Who are we that God loves us so much that He lives in us and that His life flows through us?

  4. Within our soul is the craving for God's love - the craving to love and to be loved, yet we feel empty many times. We are wanting for love. If we meditate on the mysteries of the rosary, if we see the blood covered face of Jesus and the torn flesh of His body, how can we not realize how much He loves us?

  5. The world is very sick. The Church and the world are in need of renewal.

  6. Jesus has called us in the Shepherds of Christ Movement to go into the world and to carry the messages of His love.

  7. The trial that you are suffering today may be very difficult, but if we look at the torn body of Jesus, it will seem so small.

  8. How Jesus loves each one of us, that He came into this world a helpless baby, that He gave Himself as a sacrifice for our sins!

  9. Look at the world today and the sins of the flesh. Look at the world in all of its vileness. How brazen are all those who parade such filth on the screen for children to learn at such an early age. Look at what we see on our TV screens and at the movie theaters, and then look at the body of Jesus covered with wounds.

  10. Mary said at Fatima that we must stop offending God. This is why Jesus and Mary are giving us these messages this day. This situation is very urgent. There are many souls that are going into hell. It may be very hard, but as we press forward millions and millions of souls will be saved through this movement. There are many devils that are battling us as we proceed, but how can we say "no" to Jesus and Mary?

The Crowning with Thorns

  1. Look at the haughty hearts of so many today. Our own hearts, our hearts that are so fixed in getting ahead and being first. Look at the pride and the control in the minds of men, and then look at the head of Jesus as they pound into His head the sharp thorns that pierced His head and made Him bleed.

  2. How we whine and we complain about so many little trials that we must suffer. Did Jesus ever have a headache? Look at the wounded head of our Savior.

  3. Mary is calling us to prayer and sacrifice.

  4. The bell tolls and at every second, every act that we perform, when offered as a sacrifice to the Father, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, becomes a heroic deed in helping in the work of redemption.

  5. God came and gave Himself. He was spit on. He was crowned with thorns. He was mocked. He was kicked. He was whipped, and they tore His flesh. This is the love that He has for us. He wants each and every soul in heaven with Him. He is calling us to give of ourselves to help in the work of redemption.

  6. Jesus appears with a crown of thorns around His Heart - His precious Heart, pierced by the indifference and the hatred of the souls that He loves. Let us comfort His Heart with our acts of love, and let us vow to go into this world and to fight, despite all the struggle and all the obstacles that Satan has created, to go into this world and to carry the greatest news that there is to the souls that are starving, that are hungry, and that are in pain - the news that our beloved Savior loves us.

  7. Song: Only this I want, but to know the Lord...

  8. The more we are united to Jesus, the more we help souls get to heaven, and someday we will receive a crown of glory and be with Him in such celestial bliss for all eternity.

  9. Jesus: My beloved ones, I have called you to this Farm to hear this message. I long for My precious souls to come to Me. Will you bring these souls to Me? Will you help through your trials and your sufferings to continue to bring souls to Me? I am so thirsty for souls, My precious souls that I love so much.

  10. And they spit on Jesus, and they mocked Him. They hurled hateful remarks at the Almighty God, and He was silent. He withstood all of this treatment for within His Heart was divine love, His Heart on fire for His precious souls.

The Carrying of the Cross

  1. He walked with a heavy cross on His back, and within His Heart was burning love for His precious souls.

  2. If Jesus was here at this moment, if we saw Him humped over with the cross on His back, if we saw the blood as it poured down from His crowned head, if we saw His blood covered face and the suffering in His face, would we believe then that He loves us?

  3. It is in realizing His immense love for us that we will carry this love to others. You must read all the messages that He has given to us. With our hearts on fire, receiving the love letters from our beloved one to us, do we hear Jesus say over and over again, "I love you. I love you. I love you."? Jesus will fill us with His love, and when we are filled with this love we will carry this love to others.

  4. The souls, today, are hungry. They need to be fed with the love of God. They are starving. Where do the children go that have not even been told about the love of God? Look at Jesus with His cross on His back. This is the love that He has for each soul. It is up to us to carry this message to the world, for the world is suffering and in need of this message. Vile deeds will continue until the message of His love is carried out to the hurting souls.

  5. Mary walked by her beloved Son knowing in her heart that He was the Almighty God. Think of the heart of Mary and how she suffered such anguish to watch her beloved Jesus.

  6. Day after day after day, Mary appeared for 14 months and cried out that we must change our ways, that we must help the children, that we must spread the rosary and the consecration to the children. The message was the same - you are offending God, and souls are going into hell.

  7. Mary looked into the face of her beloved Son. Can you imagine what she saw when she looked into His eyes, His beautiful eyes surrounded by blood and wounds? Can you imagine the heart of Mary as she looks into the face of her Son, knowing of all of the souls that would be lost despite His suffering?

  8. Jesus looked into the face of Mary, and He was comforted by the sight of His Mother, His Mother that He loved so much. But He saw her suffering, and His Heart was in such pain and sorrow to see His Mother suffer.

  9. Mary calls out today for the little lost children, the children that she loves so much, her children, and she asks us to be a mother to these children. She asks us to pray and to sacrifice. She asks us to teach the children about the rosary and to teach the children about the love of Jesus and the love of their Mother.

  10. Can we share the cross of Christ with Jesus? Can we comfort His aching Heart by bringing to Him His precious souls? Many souls will be lost if we give into the temptation to give up. It will become difficult and hard. Can we look into the eyes of Jesus as Mary looked into the eyes of Jesus, and say to Jesus covered with blood, crowned with thorns, cross on His back, "Jesus this is too hard."?

The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus

  1. To His death on the cross, He gave Himself. He always did the Father's will. He's asking us, today, to help in the act of redemption, to help the souls that are suffering, to sacrifice, to offer every act that we do as a sacrifice to help save souls.

  2. I see the body of Jesus humped over, withered, so frail, and so weak. This is the Almighty God - all powerful and almighty. It is God. Jesus: I am the Almighty God. R. We see Jesus in this state hanging from the cross. At any moment, He could have come down from the cross, but Jesus gave Himself that we would be saved. He lives in us this day. He acts in us this day. As we become one in Him, He operates through us this day. He loves through us this day. He gives to others through us this day. He shows us that the road is a road that is filled with suffering and trials, but He shows us the resurrection.

  3. Do we know what it is to be wrapped with the divine embrace of the Almighty God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?

  4. For all eternity we will be wrapped by this embrace. We will be completely satisfied, and our hearts will be at rest. He asks us, this day, to serve Him, to love Him, to give ourselves to Him. He shows us how He loves us. He gave Himself as a sacrifice on the cross for us.

  5. Song: O burning Heart, O love divine...

  6. The Almighty God loves us so much that He came into this world a little baby, and He gave Himself as a sacrifice on the cross. Jesus remains with us this day in His divinity and humanity, truly present in the Holy Eucharist, and our eyes behold the consecrated Host.

  7. Song: Come unto Me all who weary...

  8. Jesus no longer walks the earth, but He lives in this world today. He lives in our hearts. He is asking us to be one with Him that He can operate through us and touch the souls of His beloved ones today.

  9. We see Mary hold the little child in her arms, and we see Mary hold the lifeless body of Jesus in her arms under the cross. Jesus complied to the will of His Father. He is asking us this day to do the Father's will, to help in His plan, to help save souls. We do not realize how important all of our actions are in this plan of the Father to help save souls.

Jesus gave Himself on the cross, and He asks us to give ourselves to Him as a sacrifice. When we give ourselves in love to Jesus, we will unite in such love with the Almighty God. Message: We cannot say "no" to Jesus, that this is too hard. For all eternity many souls will be lost. What we do is so important. I hear Jesus call out, "Bring Me souls! Bring Me souls!" God is asking us to carry our cross as He carried His cross, for what we do is so important to His precious souls.

The Devil Tries to Stop Us

R. The devil presses on us. Sometimes we give in easily. The devil does not want us to pray or pray the Morning Offering. The devil does not want us to work together. He tries to create division and tries to stop us, and to keep us at odds with one another.

The Prayer meeting on Tuesdays and the Blue Book meeting are always important. The devil tries to get my mind upset every times I have to do a rosary. The devil wants to stop us.

Jesus: I am telling you, you are being pressed on. Please, I beg you to continue in love. When you are pressed on, give Me yourself and I will help you. Renew your Consecration and dwell in Our Hearts.

You must pray to the Holy Spirit and renew the Consecration. The devil will attempt to divide you. He works in hunger and tiredness. You must pray.

Once he has gripped you, you feel paralyzed and disappointed in yourself. You must ask for forgiveness and continue in love.

I am Jesus. Spray your house and consecrate your hearts. The work you do here is to help souls to get to heaven.

Do not give up. Tell Me of your love. Say, "Jesus, Jesus, I love you. Mary, My Mother, protect me from the snares of the devil."

1 John 4: 18-19

In love there is no room for fear, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear implies punishment and no one who is afraid has come to perfection in love. Let us love, then, because he first loved us.

R. Fear brings punishment. Perfect love casts out fear!

Jesus: The devil works in fear. The devil attacks your minds and your minds are filled with fear. Fear brings punishment. Perfect love casts our fear. When you begin to fear you must respond in love and trust. The evil one works in fear to attack you. I am guarding and watching you. Do not fear! Satan will talk in your minds to divide you. The work you do here will help souls. Do not give in to fear, you must respond in love.

1 John 4: 7-11

My dear friends, let us love one another, since love is from God and everyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. Whoever fails to love does not know God, because God is love. This is the revelation of God’s love for us, that God sent his only Son into the world that we might have life through him. Love consists in this: it is not we who loved God, but God loved us and sent his Son to expiate our sins. My dear friends, if God loved us so much, we too should love one another.

Glorious Mysteries

The Resurrection

l. R. Mary appeared six times at Fatima. She appeared as the Lady of the Rosary and each time she asked us to pray the rosary. She has called us here to pray this rosary. Jesus and Mary promise us, whenever we pray the rosary, They are here in a special way.

2. R. These messages and meditations are received from Jesus through this rosary.

3. Jesus: Open wide your hearts, My beloved ones. Let Me penetrate your heart with My love. I am giving to you great graces in this rosary. You must open your hearts that you will hear the message that I speak to you.

4. R. Let us see the withered body of Jesus as He hung on the cross this was the love that God has for us, that He gave Himself that He gave His life for love of us.

5. R. Next to this picture of the withered body of Jesus, see His body as He rose victorious from the dead on the third day His body glistening in white; His body glorified. This is the Almighty God. This is the love that He has for us: that He came to this earth a helpless baby, that He gave His life and died and that He rose on the third day, that we would share in His life.

6. Song: New Life

7. Jesus: I am with you at every second, as you breathe and as your heart beats. I am with you, I am guarding you and I am protecting you. I come to you, My beloved ones, to give to you a greater sharing in My life. Open your hearts and let Me penetrate your soul with My life. I love you. I love you. I love you.

8. R. We reach, in our lives, for so many incidental things and God is alive and He is waiting for us, to come and give our love to Him, to spend time with Him, to realize how close He truly is to us.

9. R. We see Jesus all through the Passion. We see Him suffer. We see Him fall under the cross. His enemies thought that they had won. They locked Him in a tomb and on the third day He came forth victorious these are the glorious mysteries.

1 Corinthians 15: 50-58

What I am saying, brothers, is that mere human nature cannot inherit the kingdom of God: what is perishable cannot inherit what is imperishable. Now I am going to tell you a mystery: we are not all going to fall asleep, but we are all going to be changed, instantly, in the twinkling of an eye, when the last trumpet sounds. The trumpet is going to sound, and then the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed, because this perishable nature of ours must put on imperishability, this mortal nature must put on immortality.

And after this perishable nature has put on imperishability and this mortal nature has put on immortality, then will the words of scripture come true: Death is swallowed up in victory. Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin comes from the Law. Thank God, then, for giving us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord.

So, my dear brothers, keep firm and immovable, always abounding in energy for the Lord’s work, being sure that in the Lord none of your labours is wasted.

R. Jesus wants us to love Him with our whole heart, our whole soul and our whole being. The Father created us with this desire – for the love of God. Nothing will fill the starved soul but this love.

l0. R. It is through Baptism that we receive a sharing in His life. Life comes from the Father, in the Spirit, through the pierced Heart of Jesus, through the heart of Mary to us. We are to be God's instrument in the world.

The Ascension

l. Luke 24: 50-51

Then he took them out as far as the outskirts of Bethany, and raising his hands he blessed them. Now as he blessed them, he withdrew from them and was carried up to heaven.

R. Can you imagine the apostles as they saw our beloved Lord ascend into the sky? We see with such limited vision. We see these things before us and stay so focused on so many things, and He asks us for faith.

2. Jesus: I am calling you to be My apostles, to go forth into this world this day and to carry the messages of My love to all those that are suffering and in pain.

3. Jesus: Satan is pressing hard on this earth. He aims to stop the messages that I am delivering. I am calling out to you to open your hearts that you will hear the messages of love for I want to live in your hearts.

4. R. Jesus no longer walks this earth. He ascended into heaven but He left the apostles behind to carry out His work. This day we are His apostles to carry the messages of His love to this world for many this day are blind, they do not even realize how God truly loves them and how He is alive and in our midst.

5. R. We see the apostles. We see how they were afraid and how they lacked faith. Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to them.

6. Jesus: Oh, My beloved ones, I am asking you to surrender and to give Me your hearts. It is in surrendering that I will unite in such oneness with you. If you give yourselves to My Sacred Heart we will unite in this oneness. You must not hold back.

7. R. The seeds of time move exceedingly slow and the hearts of men are slow to change. The messages that God delivers to this earth are urgent for the world is in such a state a state of serious sin. Man must stop offending God or we will suffer much.

8. Jesus: In the Shepherds of Christ Movement I am calling you to be My apostles to go into this world to carry the messages of My love. This world is hurting and in pain. I am Jesus. I am calling you to this state of urgency. My dear ones, look at the children in this world and how they are suffering. Look at the hearts of so many men that are so focused on vileness. I am calling out to you this day to help in spreading the messages of My love to this world.

9.  R. We are never alone. The Almighty God dwells within our graced baptized soul. God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwell within us in a very, very special way. If we could see our own graced soul and see the beauty of our soul, we would know more how beautiful it is that God lives in us. He calls out to us, "I am alive, I am alive, I am alive and I beg you to go into this world and to spread the message of My love to the world that is hurting."

l0. Hail Mary

Descent of the Holy Spirit

l. Jesus: I am with you in a very special way. You must surrender and let go. Let the messages that I deliver to you penetrate your heart. Do not give in to the tauntings of satan to distract you. I am with you at this moment and I am delivering these messages of My love to all those present. You will go forth in this world. You will carry this message for I am giving to you this grace. I am filling you with strength and courage. You are My apostles. You are My chosen ones that I am sending into the world to carry this message.

2. Acts 2: 1-3

When Pentecost day came round, they had all met together, when suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of a violent wind which filled the entire house in which they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues as of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them.

3. R. We see in the Bible how the apostles went from town to town and thousands were converted. It was the fearlessness that they had in their hearts that they proceeded ahead. When the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles they were transformed from fear to fearlessness. It is hard this day to stand up and to talk about God. God wants us to love Him with our whole heart, our whole soul, and our whole being. Man is offending God and God has come to tell us that we must stop offending God. But man will not listen. We must pray for the fearlessness of the apostles that we will have this courage to go into the world and to do what God is calling us to do for He says to us, "who will I send if you turn away?"

4. Song: Here I am Lord

5. R. Mary appeared at Fatima and she told us we must stop offending God. We must pray and we must sacrifice. There are many people this day in nursing homes and hospitals that are sick, that sit so many hours each day and do not even think about God. We need to reach this world with the messages of God's love. We need to reach the world and to tell them that they need to pray, that God is alive and He is calling out, that He is asking us to offer our sufferings to help in the renewal of the Church and our world.

6. R. So much suffering this day is wasted. If we give our hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and unite to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, so much grace can be released as we unite to the Mass and pray for the souls. We need to say the Morning Offering every day and offer up every act that we do to help souls to get to heaven.

7. R. "I am alive, I am alive, I am alive", our beloved Lord calls out to us. He lives within us. His life is alive in each one of us. He is giving to us great graces to grow more and more in our union with Him. He lives in the graced, baptized soul, He lives today in us. We look at a person that is deeply united to the Almighty God and His life radiates from their being. He is calling us to this deep union with Him that He will live in us and we will spread the Good News to the world as He operates in us.

Jesus: I am alive, I am alive, I am alive, and I live in the hearts of men. You can close your heart. Open your heart. The Heart of Jesus is a Heart of love.

8. R. In the Heart of God there is love. God is love. In Jesus' Heart there is not division, bitterness, anger or hatred. Jesus' Heart is a Heart of love. If we are to unite in one mind, in one heart, we must rid ourselves of all bitterness and hatred in our heart and turn our hearts to God.

9. R. Satan is attempting to divide families, friends . . .

l0. Jesus: My Heart is a Heart of love. So as you are in your hearts, you will be in this world. I am calling you to prayer and to sacrifice, to come to Me, to die to yourselves and to give yourselves to Me.

The Assumption

l. R. Mary was taken, body and soul, into heaven. Can you imagine the feelings within our Lady's heart as she was taken into heaven. Let us live our lives in the heart of Mary. Let us feel as she felt. Let us love her Son, through Mary's heart. Let us love the Father through the heart of Mary. Let us love her spouse, the Holy Spirit, through her pure and sinless heart, the heart of such love.

2. R. Oh, Mary - we love your pure and sinless heart, I want to love the Heart of Jesus with a heart more likened to Mary, her pure and tender heart. I want to love Him with this great love. I give my heart to you, Oh heavenly Mother. I want to dwell in your heart, to love with your heart, to speak with your heart, to act with your heart, to see with your eyes, to see the lost children of this world your lost children, and to love them as you would love them. I give my heart to you, Mary, to do with it as you want.

3. R. Mary is calling us to be the children of light, to go into this world and to spread the love of her Son in this world. As we dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, our hearts will be saturated with Their love and we will be more His instruments in the world. His love will radiate to the world that is around us. We must surrender and give ourselves to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and pray for the grace to love as He loves.

4. R. We seek always to love more perfectly. We do not love perfectly but we try to love more and more perfectly and we beg for the grace to love more as He loves.

5. R. "Until the messages of His burning love are circulated on this earth, there will continue to be so much suffering and pain in the hearts of so many men the hearts that have turned cold and lifeless. They need the messages of His love."

6. R. It is in going to the heart of Mary that she will teach us to love more perfectly.

7. R. It is in the heart of Mary, with the permeating action of the Holy Spirit that we are formed more and more into the image and likeness of Jesus. Let us go to the heart of Mary and forever be united to the Heart of Jesus the Hearts of perfect love.

8. Song: Immaculate Mary

9. R. The heart of Mary is kind and very gentle in heart. The heart of Mary is a heart of love. It is in dwelling in her heart that she will place us in the Heart of her Son and that the love of these two Hearts will radiate from our being.

l0. R. We surrender our lives to You, Jesus and Mary. We give You our hearts.

Coronation of Mary

l. R. We see in the life of Mary how the plan of the Father unfolds. We see the angel Gabriel appear to Mary.

Luke 1: 46

And Mary said: My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour;

R. We see Mary crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth.

2. R. We see the plan of the Father unfold. As we read the Scriptures, we see the plan of the Father unfold. We see the plan of the Father unfold but we do not see the plan of the Father at work in our own lives. From the day we were born we have been guarded and watched. He is giving to us all that we need to help in this plan of the Father, to help in the work of redemption. Let us pray for the grace to know more clearly the plan of the Father and to be able to watch it unfold in our lives, to watch it unfold with great joy for God, the Father, loves us so much that He uniquely created each one of us and gave to us such talents that we could help to lead souls to heaven.

3. Jesus: My beloved ones, your hearts are filled with fear and your minds are tormented by many things.  You must come to Me in your fear and I will fill you with My love.

4. Jesus: You must not give into the temptation of Satan to distract you, to encourage you to worry. I am Jesus. I am guarding you and I am watching you. You must come to My Heart and I will fill you with My love.

5. R. Each day we must spend time alone with God, that He can tell us about His plan for us. This time each day is so important to our lives.

6. R. We see heaven as so far off but Jesus, the Almighty God, is here and He is alive and He is giving to us so many graces that we can unite in deep union with Him, here on earth.

7. R. And the day will come and we will be wrapped in that divine embrace. We will know and love the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We will be satisfied if we go to heaven. We will have peace and joy beyond any human comprehension.

8. R. We must pray that we will see more and more this vision of God. We must pray for faith.

9. Song: Eye Has Not Seen

l0. Hail Mary

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Reflect on the Word - Cycle B —  The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Priestly Newsletter 2000 Issue 1
Audio CD - Read by Father Edward J. Carter
$ 10.00  plus postage

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #1 - CD. - Christ is Our Strength - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our-selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #2 - CD. - Suffering: A Source of Life - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. Fr. Carter knew suffering that year. His voice is so powerful as he read each Newsletter from his heart and soul. "Every man has his own share in the redemption. Each one is also called to share in that suffering through which the redemption was accomplished. He is called to share in that suffering through which all human suffering has also been redeemed. In bringing about the redemption through suffering, Christ has also raised human suffering to the level of the redemption. Thus each man in his suffering can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ–." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
