Pray for Urgent Intentions
and Funds

Dear Friend,

I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with you in love.

Jesus asked us to finish one room in the priest house, so a priest could stay there. We have been working on this room for 6 months. We need $3,000 for the carpet, shades and furniture. Could anyone help us with a donation for the priest house to complete this room?

We have been working on the priest house for 6 years. Jesus would like a priest be able to stay there.

Thanks
Rita & Doris

                March 30, 2013 - Holy Saturday

                R. After 20 years of messages from Jesus and Mary
what can I say. God is love – God wants
us to walk hand-in-hand. We are to be
united. The Church is one, holy, Catholic
                and Apostolic.

Jesus showed us He forgave the sinners –
We are here to prepare ourselves for heaven,
we are here to learn God is our Rock, to
love and trust Him, to put Him first in our
lives. Life on earth is fragile, we are here
to know that we are to grow in the image
and likeness of God. Die to those ways
not like Jesus, to rise to new life in Him.

Things get in the way of what we want
and plan and we have to see the goal and
keep on fighting for it. We cannot predict
what will happen around us. We are
here to fine-tune our heart in the ways
of God. This takes His grace, this takes
surrender, this takes love, this takes
giving and taking, this takes holiness,
begging God to help us live the Gospel
message of giving and taking as God
                wants of us.

                    Woundedness, a wounded human
nature can have us caught in our
wounds, testing others for their love,
being afraid to love, trying to manipulate
and control others for the hole in
ourselves that is a gaping wound,
                old unfinished business, never trusting
or truly relating with others in
                meaningful, trusting, give-and-take
                relationships: we stopped because
of our need to control, isolation,
being a wanderer, seeking that approval
                men cannot give.

Our life is to get down and get our
hands dirty – taking a chance, loving
others, like Jesus did, when we see
all He went through for us.

Being like Jesus, putting on Christ,
giving to others, thinking about all
the souls Jesus died for. I can't be
focused in doing physical acts for all,
but I unite to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
going on around the world – united to
Jesus, giving myself mystically to God,
in the Holy Spirit, united with all of heaven,
the angels and saints, united with the souls
in purgatory – loving the world God
created – praying for the priests, the
                Church and the world.

Excerpt from Response in Christ by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.

e) Relationship with Members of the Church

There is but one true Church of Christ. Yet this one Church has three different states of existence. There is the pilgrim Church, the Church of this world, composed of members who have received the grace of Christ and strive for its development. They have not yet obtained the goal of their efforts, as have the members of the heavenly Church, who enjoy God in eternal happiness. The Church suffering is an intermediate state of existence necessary for those who had not achieved the required purification as members of the pilgrim Church. Although there are these three phases of the Church’s existence, there is a profound union existing between all the members. All these members possess the same basic life of grace in Christ, and this common life establishes the most intimate bonds of love. In our preceding chapter, we discussed the pilgrim Church. Let us now consider the Church suffering and the heavenly Church.

The members of the Church suffering are those who have departed from this life in an incomplete state of Christian development. Their development is incomplete in the sense that grace has not fully taken possession of them, and, as a result, they are yet closed in upon themselves to a greater or lesser degree. They as yet cannot open themselves out in complete love to the Triune God in the beatific vision. They must undergo a further purification, a purification which could have been achieved upon earth with merit. Now the purification must be achieved with no merit attached. The pain of this purification is mixed with the certain expectation of achieving the vision of God. We can hasten the advent of this vision for this people by the offering of prayers and other good works. Scripture itself refers to our action on behalf of those in purgatory in Chapter 12 of the Second Book of Maccabees beginning with verse 38.

The members of the heavenly Church are those in whom the life of grace has taken full possession and has reached its completion in the life of glory. Faith now is unnecessary, as the light of glory gives the human intellect a new strength and capacity for seeing God face-to-face. While the Christian was a wayfarer, he received the imprint of the indwelling Trinity as he shared in God’s own life. Now in heaven that grace-life and possession of God reaches its completion—the absolute completion is not achieved, however, until the resurrection of the body. The divine persons give Themselves to the beatified in a profound union far surpassing that of the indwelling of the Trinity experienced here below.

This life of heaven is still the Christ-life, for just as we possess a share in Trinitarian life here below as mediated by Christ, and exercise this grace-life as structured by Him, so also in heaven is the mediation of Christ present. In the words of Rahner, "One always sees the Father through Jesus. Just as immediately as this, for the directness of the vision of God is not a denial of the mediatorship of Christ as man."14 And not only does the humanity of Christ unite the blessed to God, but also, in some way, to the whole of creation. This is merely a completion of what is begun here below, namely, the union with Christ in His humanity establishing the Christian in a special relationship with God, with other men, and with the whole of creation. We have a glimpse, therefore, of the fullness of life which members of the heavenly Church possess.

The heavenly Church, as St. Thomas says, is the true Church.15 The Church of this earth and the Church of purgatory are, each in its own way, reaching out in loving hope for the heavenly Jerusalem. Vatican II puts it very simply: "The Church, to which we are called in Christ Jesus, and in which we acquire sanctity through the grace of God, will attain her full perfection only in the glory of heaven."16

The members of the heavenly Church can help us in living our life of grace until we too share its fullness with them. Their power of intercession on our behalf is but another ramification of the communal aspect of Christianity. We are meant to help others grow in Christ. We, in turn, are intended by God to receive aid from others—yes, from members of the heavenly Church, as well as from those with whom we dwell here below.

Not only can we be aided by the saints’ intercession, but the example of the canonized saints can also be of great value to us. They have concretely proved that full holiness is possible. Such an inspiration is of real worth when we are tempted to think that Christian sanctity in its higher degrees is impossible of attainment. Moreover, the canonized saints, in their diversity, teach us that there are many authentic versions of Christian holiness. They can be innovators in showing us that there are numerous possibilities in assimilating the mystery of Christ, although the basic assimilation remains the same for all Christians of all times. In the opinion of Rahner this is one of the chief roles the canonized saints exert in the life of the Church.17

                R. Loving and counting on God who loves
us so much. Feeding my hungry
                soul with God.

If I don't eat much food, like Good
                Friday, I am hungry. If I don't
eat period, I wither and die. If a
person is sick and they throw-up
and have diarrhea we worry about
                dehydration.

What about ignoring God and the
spiritual things. The body exists to
serve the soul, Fr. Carter says. Do you
believe this? Do you have God as the focus?
Is God #1 in our lives? We were created
to know, love and serve God. We are not
happy when we are like flapping
pigeons in the forest – looking for
what – an answer in men, an answer
in ourselves, an answer in affections,
                wealth or pride.

Only God feeds the starved soul.
We may be wounded in love or lost
our parents, like I lost my mom at
five, but we have to learn that
God loves us and is always there and
our lives are so short. We will struggle
and have sweat on our brow doing so –
Jesus sweat blood in the garden for
our sins – In Genesis it said

Genesis 3:19

By the sweat of your face
   will you earn your food,
until you return to the ground,
as you were taken from it.
   For dust you are
and to dust you shall return.’

                R. Jesus sweat Blood, Jesus – God-made-Man –
God showed us we would suffer –
We are to be in our hearts, not shut them
down because we don't trust anybody –
Be alive – get wounded – love and forgive,
We need love and forgiveness, we have
hurt the body of Christ, we made
Jesus suffer for our sins. We are
                not perfect.

In humility we see our dark parts
and work on them and we see our
good parts and we praise God. We know
if we try to control others for our
vain glory it is wrong. Religious are
called to serve God and be obedient.
Fr. Carter was such an example to me. He
took the vows of poverty, chastity and
                obedience. He took this seriously.
He made his 10 minute examine
every day. In this we stop and we see
how we are doing. If we are serving
God, we thank and praise Him for the
good we do, if we are offending
God and others because we are in
desolation – we pray for help to turn
our hearts in the right direction – doing
                God's will in love.

We don't settle in for days and
                weeks in desolation expecting
somebody to come and make us feel
better when we have sinned – we are
sorry like Peter when he denied Jesus,
who offended God by this. We are
sorry, we want to make up for what
                wrong we did.

                    Judas was consumed with
pride and anger – full of self –

When we live for the self we get the
                    self –

When we live for God and keep working
at it – living in Him –
                    God runs the show –

We are to live as members of the body
of Christ – more and more in His
                    image and likeness –

136. THE FOURTH DAY

        A MEDITATION ON TWO STANDARDS

The one of Christ, our supreme leader and lord,
the other of Lucifer, the deadly enemy of our
human nature

PRAYER.   The usual preparatory prayer.

window at a former Jesuit Seminary

137. FIRST PRELUDE.   This is the history. Here it will be that Christ calls and wants all beneath His standard, and Lucifer, on the other hand, wants all under his.

138. SECOND PRELUDE.   This is a mental representation of the place. It will be here to see a great plain, comprising the whole region about Jerusalem, where the sovereign Commander-in-Chief of all the good is Christ our Lord; and another plain about the region of Babylon, where the chief of the enemy is Lucifer.

139. THIRD PRELUDE.   This is to ask for what I desire. Here it will be to ask for a knowledge of the deceits of the rebel chief and help to guard myself against them; and also to ask for a knowledge of the true life exemplified in the sovereign and true Commander, and the grace to imitate Him.

FIRST PART

THE STANDARD OF SATAN

140. FIRST POINT.   Imagine you see the chief of all the enemy in the vast plain about Babylon, seated on a great throne of fire and smoke, his appearance inspiring horror and terror.

141. SECOND POINT.   Consider how he summons innumerable demons, and scatters them, some to one city and some to another, throughout the whole world, so that no province, no place, no state of life, no individual is overlooked.

142. THIRD POINT.   Consider the address he makes to them, how he goads them on to lay snares for men and bind them with chains. First they are to tempt them to covet riches (as Satan himself is accustomed to do in most cases) that they may the more easily attain the empty honors of this world, and then come to overweening pride.

The first step, then, will be riches, the second honor, the third pride. From these three steps the evil one leads to all other vices.

SECOND PART

THE STANDARD OF CHRIST

143.   In a similar way, we are to picture to ourselves the sovereign and true Commander, Christ our Lord.

144. FIRST POINT.   Consider Christ our Lord, standing in a lowly place in a great plain about the region of Jerusalem, His appearance beautiful and attractive.

145. SECOND POINT.   Consider how the Lord of all the world chooses so many persons, apostles, disciples, etc., and sends them throughout the whole world to spread His sacred doctrine among all men, no matter what their state or condition.

146. THIRD POINT.   . . .

Deuteronomy 30: 19-20

Today, I call heaven and earth to witness against you: I am offering you life or death, blessing or curse. Choose life, then, so that you and your descendants may live, in the love of Yahweh your God, obeying his voice, holding fast to him; for in this your life consists, and on this depends the length of time that you stay in the country which Yahweh swore to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that he would give them.’

                R. There is enough love to go around –

                Jesus shows us this.

Jesus: Some are addicted to excitement –
when they sin or want to feel –
they punish or try to control others –
                    stirring a pot of witch's brew –
love gives – love is rooted in God

Angry men come from men centered on
                    themselves.

When one is wounded they must learn
to forgive and move on doing what
                    God expects of them.
Living to love and serve God.

                R. Christ's resurrection is a sign of my
resurrection – Christ came forth from
the tomb – We break the chains that
held us bound, through God's grace –
                We overturn laziness, spiritual laziness
that keeps us focused on ourselves
and we see through the eyes of God.
We pray to our Savior to help us.

                I hear Jesus say
"I died for you, what more do you
                want?"

A person ready to commit suicide
may not really want it – they want
                a way out –

Sinfulness – mortal sins – is a dead
end street – if we don't want to
be forgiven by God and men.

We need to keep our relationship open.
When we sin, we really need to ask for
God's forgiveness, to really try to make up
for the sin – to tell the person we are
                sorry for our sins.

                This reestablishes the relationship if
                the person we sinned against
forgives and we can move on – respecting
the dignity of others and not sinning
against them for our weaknesses of
                selfishness, fear, control,
                disobedience, laziness ourselves,
                and unloving ways.

Get rid of the old yeast to have
                fresh dough.

1 Corinthians 5: 7-8

Throw out the old yeast so that you can be the fresh dough, unleavened as you are. For our Passover has been sacrificed, that is, Christ; let us keep the feast, then, with none of the old yeast and no leavening of evil and wickedness, but only the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

                R. We should get rid of old unforgiveness,
                anger, laziness, pride, envy,
jealousies, the ugly parts of our
tainted heart – like a snow plow –
push it out and the street is free –
                push out festering, bitter corruption,
                in our hearts, taintedness –

Let us be risen from these
terrible ways and put Jesus in charge –

We must put aside wanting affections
of men as our goal and see ourselves
in the eyes of God – carrying out
the life, death and resurrection of Jesus
in our lives. Being as God wants of us –
                not focused on self "that-a-way
boy". Doing what we do to please
God, to serve God, to build the
Kingdom of God – not using our
lives to convince ourselves we are
okay if men think we are great – then
we will be okay – this is deficient thinking –

We need to be actors in God's
                army building the Kingdom, not
reactors - focused on self –
creating games – going in and out
depending on how we are feeling,
being pressed on by satan or not.

                    We must discern the spirits.
We can get ideas from ourselves
which can be good or bad, or
ideas from the Holy Spirit prompting
us in serving God in love, or from
the evil one – who may come as
an angel of light and then twist
things so we are serving his
                wicked design in hate.

When we serve God we are
                living the Easter message of
coming forth from the tomb –
We are building the body of Christ –

                Our interior disposition is like
the Jesuits – men for others –
loving and giving to build the
                body of Christ.

We are not isolated, we don't want
failure of what is good to serve
                our power –

Power comes from God and we
thank Him and use it wisely to
build the body of Christ –

Not try to tear it down so we can seek
                power for ourselves, our deficient
                ways we see ourselves –

                Jesus says: Selfish, Selfish,
Selfish – What do you want
                    I died for you –
                    I am the Savior –

Sirach 15: 3-4

She will give him the bread of understanding to eat,
and the water of wisdom to drink.
He will lean on her and will not fall,
he will rely on her and not be put to shame.

Exodus 13: 5, 9

and when Yahweh has brought you into the country of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, flowing with milk and honey, which he swore to your ancestors that he would give you, then you must observe this rite in the same month.

This will serve as a sign on your hand would serve, or a reminder on your forehead, and in that way the law of Yahweh will be ever on your lips: for with a mighty hand Yahweh brought you out of Egypt.

Excerpt from Tell My People             (Message from Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.)

"What I say to you in the dark, tell in
the daylight; what you hear in whispers, proclaim
from the housetops."
(Matthew 10:27)

Jesus Has Come to Give Us Life

Jesus: "This is the day celebrating My Resurrection (Easter). The day of newness of life. I am Lord and Master. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Tell My people to come to Me if they wish to experience life in abundance. I want to give all an ever greater share in the life of My Resurrection. Without Me

by Fr. Carter, S.J.

you cannot be happy, nor have peace, nor have real joy. Tell My people to surrender to Me more and more. The more they do so, the more they will experience My love, wisdom, power, peace, joy, happiness, mercy, and goodness. Within My Heart My people will find these riches. I am Lord and Master! Please listen to My words."

Reflection: Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus has come to give us life, and to give us this life in abundance.

When we were baptized, we were incorporated into Christ and His Church. When we were baptized, we received the life of sanctifying grace. This life is a created sharing in the life of the Trinity. Truly, we are called to live a God-like existence according to the teaching and example of Jesus! It is our duty and our privilege to develop our life of grace–our Christ-life–through our participation in the Mass, through the reception of the sacraments, through prayer, and through all other good works. Indeed, we are called to love God and neighbor more and more.

What a glorious life has been given to us! In a spirit of thanksgiving, and together with Mary our Mother, let us always strive to know Christ more intimately, to love Him more ardently, and to follow Him more closely, so that He will always bring us to a closer union with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit.

                R. Life is not life if it is not rooted in God.

Fr. Carter, S.J. on front of book

R. Let us make the Stations very often. It is in walking the Way of the Cross in the Stations with Him that we understand more and more the Passion and Way of the Cross and so His immense love for us. See Mary as she holds the lifeless body of her Son in her arms under the cross. Jesus always did the Father's will. Mary always complied to the Father's will. It is in following the Father's will that we will have peace and joy in our lives. I see Jesus in her arms under the cross. To Jesus' death He complied to the Father's will. This is the love that Jesus has for us - that Jesus gave Himself on the cross, and He gives Himself to us this day in the Holy Eucharist. He calls out, "tell them, Rita, tell them, how I long for their love, how I wait and how I thirst for them to come to spend time with Me." Jesus wants us to talk to Him all through the day, to tell Him of our love for Him. Let us pray for the grace to know, love and serve God more.

                From Blue Book 10

January 16, 1996

Before the Tabernacle

Glorious Mysteries

The Resurrection

1. R. What a great gift that we are given in Baptism: a sharing in His Divine Life. The price that Jesus paid is His life that He gave for us on the cross. See Jesus as He hangs on the cross, His face covered with blood and crowned with thorns, His body withered, His hands and feet pierced. He gave the last drop of His blood and the last beat of His Heart. He showed us the way. His way is the way of total surrender. He gave His all and He remains with us this day in this room.

Jesus Christ, the same Jesus that walked the earth, the Son of God, remains in this room, in the tabernacle, and is longing and waiting for us to tell Him how deeply we love Him and give ourselves to Him. He wants intimacy with Him. Love is giving - He gives to us and we give to Him. This is the sharing of this intimacy between Him and us. The more we give of ourselves, the more we die to ourselves in the ways that are not like Him. The more we surrender ourselves, the deeper our relationship with Him becomes, for it is a relationship. He outpours His love to us. We partake more fully as we surrender and give more of ourselves to Him.

Jesus calls each one of us here in this Shepherds of Christ Movement to deeper intimacy with Him. We have been called and we have been chosen. We are a light that He is sending into this world to take the message of His love and Jesus asks for holiness - holiness in all of our actions, for it is in our speech and the way that we conduct ourselves that we preach the mightiest lessons of His love for us. We are receiving great graces from Him as He promised, to carry out this mission. You have been called and you have been chosen. We have the greatest treasure that there is: the love of God, Jesus Christ, truly present in this room and giving Himself to us. This is a rosary about life, about sharing in His life through baptism and He feeds this life with Himself. We grow more and more in this graced life. We live His life, death and resurrection in our lives.

To know Him a little is to want so much more, for nothing on the face of this earth is like the love of God. Let us open up our hearts and let Him fill us with His Divine Love that we may be more and more satisfied.

2. Song: Come give me life, abundant life, I thirst to be with Thee

3. R. I see the withered body of Jesus as He hung on the cross and I see Him as He comes forth from the tomb, glistening in light, His glorified wounds - the Almighty God!

4. R. We cannot even comprehend the glory that awaits us. To know Him a little is to know how wonderful it is to share more and more in His life. Jesus wants to abundantly fill us with this life. We must spend time with Jesus. Jesus has the time for us, we are the ones that keep ourselves from Him. We busy ourselves and become more and more busy - and does the work really get done? Jesus calls us to spend time each day to put the fragmented pieces of our life together, for our source of this life is from Him. When we are Baptized we receive a sharing in His Life: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit live within us in a special way. As we go out to the world, as we interact, we must come to the interior of our hearts to know what Jesus is telling us about Himself and about our lives.

If we do not spend this time every day with Jesus we miss what God wants to communicate to us. This world in many ways has turned godless. It is in these precious moments that we spend with Him that He feeds us, that He comforts us and He fills us deeply with His love. He calls each one of us this evening to make a commitment to Him that we will take time each day to be alone with Him. No matter how busy the day is, that we find time in our day to just sit with Him and enjoy the presence of the Almighty God within our hearts.

5. Jesus: In your busyness you have forgotten how much I am calling you to come and to be with Me. I am calling you this evening in a special way to a commitment to spend time alone every day with the Almighty God.

6. R. You do not see that if we run down the road at a fast pace it doesn't matter if it is the wrong road, or how fast that we ran down the road, if we spin our wheels and we do not go anywhere. It doesn't matter how fast we spin our wheels. Jesus is the Almighty God. He is so present to us. He knows our every thought, our every desire in our heart, and He stands by us and He says to us, "what are you doing? I am here. I am with you. Come to the silence of your heart and know My peace and My love."

7. R. Jesus paid such a price for us to share in His life. What a treasure, that we receive this sharing in His Divine life in baptism.

8. Hail Mary
9. Hail Mary

10. Jesus: You look the other way and I stand and knock on the door of your heart. I want such intimacy with you, My beloved ones. Surrender and give yourselves to Me. Quit controlling your lives, surrender and let go. Come to Me. I am Lord and Master of your life. I guard you. I watch you. I am attentive to your every need.

Sing: God's Love

The Ascension of Our Lord into Heaven

Acts 1: 9-11

As he said this he was lifted up while they looked on, and a cloud took him from their sight. They were still staring into the sky as he went, when suddenly two men in white were standing beside them, and they said, ‘Why are you Galileans standing here looking into the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way as you have seen him go to heaven.’

R. Before Jesus ascended into Heaven, He gave to the apostles the power to baptize and to forgive sins.

1. R. He took them out to the town near Bethany. Jesus raised His arms and He ascended into Heaven.

2. R. They stood in utter amazement as the cloud took Him from their sight.

3. R. Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to them. The apostles were filled with fear and they locked themselves in the upper room.

4. R. We see Mary in the Visitation as she greets Elizabeth and she tells her the good news. I see Jesus ascend into Heaven and He leaves behind the apostles to carry out His work and we see how the Church has grown this day. We are commissioned in Baptism to carry out His life, death, and resurrection in our lives. As we go through our lives we carry out His life, death and resurrection. We walk the walk to Calvary with Him. We fall under the cross. We are persecuted and misunderstood, we are rejected, we share more fully in the life of Jesus. Many may stand around us, ridicule us as they ridiculed Jesus, but we know in our hearts of the love of God. We know what it is to share in this intimacy with the Almighty God and nothing: persecution, ridicule, falling to the ground, spitting in our face, can stop us, for we have been called and we have been chosen as His special apostles to go out to this world and to carry out His life, death and resurrection in our lives.

Jesus asked us to model our lives after Him. See Jesus in all of His actions. Would He act like me? Would He talk like me? Is there holiness in this action? Jesus is calling us to be His apostles and He is giving to us great graces to grow ever more in our lives in Him. We must constantly look at our actions and see that they are the actions of holiness for He calls us and we have been chosen for this special mission to go into this world that is suffering and in pain and to carry the Gospel  message - the Good News - we are commissioned in baptism to do this.

We are to be examples in all that we do and in all that we say. Jesus ascended into Heaven but He remains with us this day and He gives to us the bread of life. He gives us His Body and His Blood, to nourish us and He asks us in every Mass that we unite in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and die to ourselves and offer our lives as an offering to the Father. We are to die to those things that are not like Him, that we may be more and more holy and that we unite in deep intimacy with Him in Communion. Let us open our hearts and let Him work within us.

Song: A Song from Jesus

Jesus: I come to you this day.

Song: A Song from Jesus

Jesus: I call you to holiness. I call you to consecration, to consecrate your hearts every day, to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. You are My apostles and you are commissioned in Baptism to carry out My life, death and resurrection in your lives.

5. R. Are you hungry? Nothing, nothing feeds the starved soul but the love of God.

Song: I Am the Bread of Life

6. Hail Mary
7. Hail Mary
8. Hail Mary

9. Jesus: Many are called but few are chosen. I have chosen you, My beloved ones for intimate union with Me. Open wide your hearts and let Me fill you with My life.

10. Hail Mary

The Descent of the Holy Spirit

R. They were gathered in the upper room with the Blessed Virgin Mary and there was a gigantic-like wind and there appeared over their heads parted tongues of fire and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and they were transformed from fear into fearlessness.

1. R. They went out to preach the Gospel message and they were not afraid for they knew the love of God. To unite with love itself is to be absent of fear.

Dear Holy Spirit, descend upon us and work in us to make us holy!

2. R. I look at myself, especially at the Consecration of the Mass, and I want to die to all those things that are not like Him, and to do more like Him. I know that I want to be holy, but it takes the action of the Holy Spirit working to sanctify me, to be more and more like Him.

Dear God, help us at every Mass to unite deeper with Jesus, in this offering to the Father, that we can die to the ways that are not like God. Holy Spirit, work within us to sanctify us more and more to be like Him.

3. R. They went out to preach the Gospel Message. Many were converted. They went from town to town. They were locked in prisons. They did not care. They got out singing for they knew the love of God. Give us this fearlessness in the world that has turned cold in many ways toward God. We are sorry the world uses the name of God in vain and does not treat You with the reverence that You deserve. Give us the courage to go out and to speak up for God and to act as You want us to act!

4. R. Help us to unite in such oneness with You that we are as St. Paul says

Galatians 2: 19-20 ...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

R. Help us to live your life, death and resurrection in our lives. Thank you for this special sharing in Your life. Help our face to radiate the life within - this sharing in Your life within us. Help our actions and speech to be as you want. Help us to put on Christ in all of our actions, that we will preach the Gospel in all of our ways and help us to ask ourselves, would Christ act like this?

5. Hail Mary
6. Hail Mary
7. Hail Mary
8. Hail Mary

9. Jesus: Your answers are found within each moment. Take time to be alone with Me.

10. Jesus: My dear sweet one, I want to be so close to you. Open wide your heart and let Me enter into your hearts and join in the deepest intimacy with you. Surrender and let go, die to yourselves that you will live in Me. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. It is in Me that you will have peace and joy in your hearts. As you are in your hearts, so shall you be in this world. You are the lights that I am sending into the dark night. Let your hearts be forever pure that your lights will shine the brightest light. I am Jesus, I am calling you to this close union with Me.

The Assumption of the Blessed Mother

R. Our Blessed Lady was taken into Heaven.

1. R. Mary is the Mother of our Christ-life. Mary is our spiritual Mother, given to us as Jesus died on the cross. It is in her heart that we are sanctified through the action of the Holy Spirit. Christ was formed in Mary's womb, through Power of the Holy Spirit. We go to Mary's Heart and the Holy Spirit sanctifies us more and more. Let us pray to the Holy Spirit to make us holy, that He works within the heart of Mary and brings us to greater holiness, that we may dwell deeper and deeper in the Heart of Jesus.

(Message from Fr. Edward Carter, S.J.)

Fr. Carter, S.J.

 Excerpt from Tell My People

The Holy Spirit

Jesus: "My beloved friend, tell My people to pray daily to the Holy Spirit. They are to pray for an increase in His gifts. My people must realize that the Holy Spirit comes to transform them. The Spirit desires to transform you more and more according to My image. Those who are docile to His touch become increasingly shaped in My likeness. He performs this marvel within Mary's Immaculate Heart. The more one dwells in My Mother's Heart, the more active are the workings of the Spirit. The Spirit leads Mary to place you within My own Heart. In both Our Hearts, then, your transformation continues.

by Fr. Carter, S.J.

The more you are formed after My own Heart, the more I lead you to the bosom of My Father. Tell My people all this. Tell them to pray daily for a greater appreciation of these wondrous gifts. I am Lord and Master. All who come to My Heart will be on fire to receive the gifts of the Spirit in ever greater measure! I love and bless My people!"

Reflection: The Holy Spirit is given to us to fashion us ever more according to the likeness of Jesus. And the more we are like Jesus, the more Jesus leads us to the Father. Do we, each day, pray to the Holy Spirit to be more open to His transforming influence? Do we strive each day to grow in union with Mary? The greater our union with our Mother, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, the greater is the transforming action of the Holy Spirit within us.

end of excerpt

2. R. I see myself in the heart of Mary with the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit acts, working on me and I am united in deeper union in the Heart of Jesus, this endless cavern of Divine Love and the deeper I unite to Jesus in His Heart, the more I am united to the Father, for Jesus is one with the Father. We cannot even imagine what it is to be united in this deep union and know the Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwelling within our heart.

3. R. Let us go to the heart of our Mother and dwell there, that we may be united more and more to the Trinity.

4. Song: I am Your Sacred Heart

R. Mary is the Mother of our Christ-life. Mary places us deeper and deeper into Jesus' Heart and we unite with Jesus more and more. We unite with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

5. R. We receive Jesus in the Eucharist. He gives Himself to us. Jesus is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit. If we receive the Almighty God, who are we that we are given this great gift and that we take it so lightly? This is our little heaven on earth - dwelling in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

6. R. In the troubled world and in all of the things that press down on us in this world today, let us realize that the true treasure that we seek is within our hearts, so we dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. If we are in the state of grace, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, live within us. We need this time each day to be alone and to just be with God that loves us so much that He gives us a sharing in His life in baptism. When we go to Jesus, He gives to us knowledge of Himself and knowledge about ourselves. We will find our answers within these precious moments that we spend with Him.

7. Hail Mary
8. Hail Mary
9. Hail Mary
10. Hail Mary

Mary is Crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth

Revelation 12:1  Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman, robed with the sun, standing on the moon, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

1. R. Mary is the highest human person and she was chosen as the Mother of God. How many today blaspheme our beloved Mother? It is in giving her, our Mother, honor, that we realize how much God loves us, that He came into this world in the womb of Mary, a human person, that Mary became the Mother of God, that Mary was conceived without sin, that she conceived the Christ Child by the Power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spouse of Mary. We are to honor Mary. We realize how much God loves His creatures. Mary is the Mother of God and our Mother.

Luke 1: 35  The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God.

2. R. Jesus wants His Heart venerated next to the heart of His Mother - this is how He loves His Mother. How it offends Jesus when Mary is ridiculed and treated irreverently!

3. R. Mary wants us to make reparation to her Immaculate Heart for the blasphemies against her, against her as Mother of God, against her Immaculate Conception, against her as a Virgin. At every Communion let us tell Mary how much we love her.

4. R. At every Communion let us help make reparation to the Heart of Jesus for the injustices and the indifference to Him.

5. Hail Mary

6. R. Let us honor Mary and realize that in dwelling in Mary's heart that we will unite more and more to the Almighty God. It is in dwelling in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, Fr. Carter, said it is our little heaven on earth.

7. R. Let this be our greatest desire, to be united with the Almighty God forever and ever in heaven.

8. R. Let us go to the heart of Mary and unite deeper to the Almighty God.

9. R. Let us consecrate our hearts daily to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and turn our lives over to Them and ask the Holy Spirit to work within Mary's heart to make us holy, that we will carry His great love to this world.

10. Song: Eve Has Not Seen

R. Let us unite in one heart with the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Let us be in one mind and one heart in Jesus. Satan is division, he prowls this earth trying to trip us up. The Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph and the Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign, when we consecrate our hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, not in words spoken but in reality, we must consecrate ourselves and give our all to Jesus and Mary and beg the Holy Spirit to make us holy and spread these prayers and the Consecration to the Two Hearts to all.

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Reflect on the Word - Cycle B —  The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - The Word Alive in Our Hearts
Inspiring Homilies covering partial year of Cycle A by Fr. Joe Robinson

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #1 - CD. - Christ is Our Strength - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our-selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #2 - CD. - Suffering: A Source of Life - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. Fr. Carter knew suffering that year. His voice is so powerful as he read each Newsletter from his heart and soul. "Every man has his own share in the redemption. Each one is also called to share in that suffering through which the redemption was accomplished. He is called to share in that suffering through which all human suffering has also been redeemed. In bringing about the redemption through suffering, Christ has also raised human suffering to the level of the redemption. Thus each man in his suffering can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ..." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
