                May 28, 2013

                R. God is the master over creation –

What He created was good, but Adam
                    and Eve sinned.

God created an orderly world –
                It was beautiful and peaceful
                It was harmonious
                It was without sin, violence
                    and evil.

                In the beginning
God made a world for the creatures
                    to love each other –
                    to love God

He blessed them, He loved them,
                    the world is beautiful –
                    a reflection of God

There was health and peace and
                    not disease – no
                    war – no violence,
                but Adam and Eve sinned!!

Evil, disobedience to God's will –
they rejected the Divine will –
                    there was disorder and evil
                    after their sin –

God made man and woman to love Him
and to love each other –

We see the friction between man
                    and woman in Genesis 3
                    after they sinned

God gave them the garden of Eden –

Adam and Eve were to obey God –

Work is not a burden, but a
                    gift –

We see after the fall – God says
                    by the sweat of your
                    brow you will earn your
                    bread (Genesis)

The world before the fall had
                    perfect harmony,
                    harmony between human
                    beings, between man and
                    woman, between
                    man and creation –

                Perfect Harmony

God gave Adam and Eve limits –
Humans were not to eat of
the tree of good and evil –

Humans were to obey God not
try to be independent of God.

                    They were creatures of the
                Creator. A person disobeying God,
                rebelling against God, as satan
                tempts them, is raising themselves
                above God –

                Thus the commandments God gave
                    to Moses –

The Ten Commandments

  1. I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me.
  2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain.
  3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
  4. Honor your father and your mother.
  5. You shall not kill.
  6. You shall not commit adultery.
  7. You shall not steal.
  8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
  10. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.

                R. Opposing God's will is putting
our will over God's will –
                    Rebelling against God –

                Look at disorder in places
                    where ones won't listen
                    to anything.

I remember God told me to
bring order to a place –
                    to paint it white –
                    those opposing order
                    argued, chaos, it
                    becomes the way and the
                    rule is established –

When God gives a direction to move
                    ahead and reach others –
the devil tempts those he uses,
                    those opposing God,
                    they use force to implement
the rules that satan wants –

                Utter chaos, commotion –
                    the work of building the
Kingdom of God is thwarted as the
                    devil works through those
                    disobeying God to thwart
any obedience to God or the
building of the Kingdom of God –

                God is order –
                God works in order –

God gave them a rule in the garden
                    to obey Him.

                God is the Creator –
they are dependent on God –

Adam and Eve raised above God –
                    disobeyed God –

                The mess started –

                I remember Jesus telling me
                    paint the walls white –

                The garden was beautiful –

They had all the blessing He gave
                    them –

                They disobeyed God –

                They wanted their dominance
                    over God –

                The garden was the symbol
He used on a bank building
                    in Florida –

God the Father said He put
                    Mary's image on the
                    building.

                On March 1, 2004 Mary's
                    image head was destroyed
                    by a sling-shot –

He wanted His crucifix in the garden –
He told me to have it carved –
He told me what He wanted
with the crucifix in the garden –

There was a sink hole under where the
image was and it had to
                    be repaired –
                    a sink-hole after Mary's
                    image head was destroyed.

The Mary well and Jesus well was
                    given –

Jesus told me to have the Mary
                    well repaired professionally –

Healings from Mary well and Jesus well

Healings

from

The Building of the Two Hearts

1. After using the Jesus water, pain and non-movement (for 3 years) in my fingers was healed instantly. Now fingers are cracking and working and no pain. Has taken x-rays. 10-19-2008

2. My mother was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in April 2005. She received the Jesus water of Clearwater that my brother brought to El Salvador. She was treated at Instituto Salvadoreno del Segino Social. She was expected to live 3-6 months. She lived well for 2 years. Now she rests in peace with Lord Jesus and Virgin Mary. She died of Pneumonia March 21, 2007.  4/27/2007

3. The CAT scan showed a dark spot and they thought they would have to remove my right kidney. My family went to the Blessed Mother and asked for prayers and help. They also got the healing water. Well all our prayers were answered. There was no cancer or tumor. Thanks for all your prayers and help, and thanks to the Lord above.  4/18/2007

4. A man from South Carolina came to thank Jesus and Mary for his healing. His brother sent him Jesus' water when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Three doctors told him there was nothing they could do for him. He started using Jesus' water and started feeling better (He could hardly walk, he was using a wheelchair a lot). He went back to the doctor and tests showed no more cancer — gone! The doctor told him he never saw this happen before. He is around 70 years old and walks and feels normal.   2006

5. Peter was operated on for cancer he had for 10 years on his leg and because the wound was so big, they had to take some skin from another part of his leg to be able to fix it but it did split. So Monday the doctor said that another surgery was needed but thanks to Jesus water on Wednesday on that same week he was healed. - Argentina   7/2/2006

6. Cancer of the lungs. A friend of ours who we visit from Canada. He told us of his illness and we came and prayed at the Virgin Mary's appearance on March 28, 2006. He had Jesus' water put on him the night before his surgery. His surgery was on March 31 and the cancer was gone. Thank you for your blessings.  4/2/2006

7. A woman came in today from New York and said she was here last March (2005) and got the Jesus water. Her cousin who was very healthy and had just retired at age 60 suffered a massive stroke. He was taken to the best neurological hospital in New York and the doctors said he had no chance of recovery. He had a blood clot at the base of his brain stem. He was in intensive care and the woman with the other family members were visiting him and she put Jesus water on him and they prayed over him, while he was laying in bed in a fetal position unable to talk was paralyzed. After she had left (only 30 minutes of visitation in Intensive Care) the woman received a call from her cousin's wife saying the man had sat up in bed after they left and was miraculously healed. He is back at home now. The doctors came in and said this was a miracle. This was 2 months ago.  1/24/2006

                R. We see original sin at the beginning of
                    Adam and Eve –

Original sin is a lack of
                    respect for one's dependence
                    on the Creator's laws
                    of creation – the moral
                    norms that govern
                    freedom.

                When a person keeps misusing
                    power and serving satan –
                    they self-destruct if
it goes on and on and on
                    decadence - Jesus says –

Isaiah 5: 20

Woe to those who call what is bad, good,
    and what is good, bad,
who substitute darkness for light
    and light for darkness,
who substitute bitter for sweet
    and sweet for bitter.

                R. At the time of Noah - there was
                    so much disobedience and
                    corruption – He had to
                    flood the earth –

                Species are ordered
                God is order
                Natural order of creation –

                In dysfunctional families – the
                    addiction can destroy people's
harmony and so they, to get
                    healed, have to work the
12 steps – Go back to God
                    as the power over them.

Before Adam and Eve sinned there was
                    not covetousness, lust,
                    envy, hatred –

After the fall, these sins were
                    a source of shame –

The devil makes good look bad and
                    bad look good –

Eve sees what first looks good and
she does it and it is evil –
                    she disobeyed God –

Death is contrary to the Plan of
                    God the Creator – Death
                    a consequence of sin –
                    disease, head-aches, anger,
                    disharmony of elements etc.

                Man sins –

Adam and Eve wanted to be independent
                    of God

Original sin is a lack of respect
                    for one's dependence on
                    the Creator –
                    the laws of creation –
                    moral norms that govern freedom

A person, a group of persons wanting
                    to determine what is
                    right and wrong without God.

Genesis 3: 5

God knows in fact that the day you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods, knowing good from evil.'

                R. Man preferred himself to God –
He chooses himself over God –

                God chose man –
                God loved man –

God created him in His own
                    image and likeness –

                Man chose to make himself
                    over God –
                    man can destroy himself
                    in rebelling against
                    God –

We saw a movie about a blind man
                    yesterday –
his sight was restored and he
                    was never happy –
with his sight – he chose
                        to go deeper and deeper
                        in destruction and destroying
                        himself –

                When a community, a person,
                    a family keeps going deep
                    and deep into rebelling against
                    God – they will finally
                    self-destruct – or if they
                    hit bottom many
use the 12 steps to turn themselves
                    around –
                    recognizing a power over them
                        and coming clean under
                        God –

                Look at the Holocaust –

                Mary's message July 13, 1917
                    she showed the children
                    hell and she said if
                    you don't listen there
                    will be a worse war

                Self - destruct –

                Look at the Holocaust

                We didn't listen to Mary's
                    message at Fatima –

Mary's Message
from the Rosary of August 27, 1996

Mary:  I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my Heart was in such pain for I saw Him before my eyes. I saw Him covered with blood. I saw Him die. My Heart, my children, my Heart to watch my Son, but my Heart, my Heart, how I suffered for my little children of the world that give in to this world and give up the love of my Son. O my little children of light, I give you this message. Carry this light into the darkness for your Mother Mary, for I stood beneath the cross and I cried. I cried for the little ones. I cried for the young ones, the ones that do not care and will lose their souls. How do I make you see for you will not listen to me? What can I do? I come. I appear. I beg. I plead. I give you these gifts from my Son, and you reject me. I do not deliver messages very often anymore for I have been ignored. The message is the same. You do not read the messages I have given to you. Please help me. Help the little children. I appear. I appear. I appear, and I am ignored. I stood beneath the cross, and I cried. I cried, and my Heart was in such anguish for my little children, for I am searching for them this day as I searched for the Child Jesus. Please, please help me. I cannot hold back the hand of my Son any longer. I am Mary, your Mother. I ask you to help my children. You are my children of light.

                R. God is the Creator –
                    we are creatures under
                    Him

Sixteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time

Jeremiah 23: 1-6

‘Disaster for the shepherds who lose and scatter the sheep of my pasture, Yahweh declares. This, therefore, is what Yahweh, God of Israel, says about the shepherds who shepherd my people, "You have scattered my flock, you have driven them away and have not taken care of them. Right, I shall take care of you for your misdeeds, Yahweh declares! But the remnant of my flock I myself shall gather from all the countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; they will be fruitful and increase in numbers. For them I shall raise up shepherds to shepherd them and pasture them. No fear, no terror for them any more; not one shall be lost, Yahweh declares!

   Look, the days are coming,
      Yahweh declares,
when I shall raise an upright Branch
      for David;
he will reign as king and be wise,
doing what is just and upright
      in the country.

In his days Judah will triumph
   and Israel live in safety.
And this is the name he will be called,
  ‘Yahweh–is–our–Saving–Justice.’ "

Ephesians 2: 13-18

But now in Christ Jesus, you that used to be so far off have been brought close, by the blood of Christ. For he is the peace between us, and has made the two into one entity and broken down the barrier which used to keep them apart, by destroying in his own person the hostility, that is, the Law of commandments with its decrees. His purpose in this was, by restoring peace, to create a single New Man out of the two of them, and through the cross, to reconcile them both to God in one Body; in his own person he killed the hostility. He came to bring the good news of peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. Through him, then, we both in the one Spirit have free access to the Father.

     Mark 6: 30-34

The apostles rejoined Jesus and told him all they had done and taught. And he said to them, ‘Come away to some lonely place all by yourselves and rest for a while’; for there were so many coming and going that there was no time for them even to eat. So they went off in the boat to a lonely place where they could be by themselves. But people saw them going, and many recognised them; and from every town they all hurried to the place on foot and reached it before them. So as he stepped ashore he saw a large crowd; and he took pity on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he set himself to teach them at some length.

Sixteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time

July 19, 2009

HOMILY: There was a man who worked in a museum whose job it was to explain the different exhibits. On one occasion he pointed to the bones of a dinosaur saying the bones were 100 million and 9 years old. Someone asked how they could date those bones so accurately. He said “well, when I started working here, I was told these bones were 100 million years old and I’ve worked here for nine years.”

Today I want to give everyone a little history lesson. I’m not going back to the dinosaurs, but I am going back pretty far – to King David, 1000 years before Christ. When I was in school, I hated history. It wasn’t until we studied the history of the Old Testament in the seminary that I began to appreciate it. I cannot cram 1000 years of history into a couple of minutes. I just want to touch on the parts of Jewish history that are mentioned in today’s reading. If you want to learn more, read everything in the Old Testament, but be sure you have a commentary to help you. Otherwise, you’ll give up in despair because you won’t know what it’s all about - especially the prophets and the historical books.

When David was king 1000 years before Christ, David wanted to build a house for God, since there was no Temple for God at that time. God did not give David permission to do so, however God promised David through the prophet Nathan that he would bless him and build David a house in the sense that David’s kingdom would continue forever and one of his descendants would always rule. This blessing lasted through the reign of David’s son, Solomon; but we humans somehow have the ability to sabotage God’s blessings. Solomon turned to pagan gods and over-extended the country financially by elaborate building projects and exorbitant taxes, so when Solomon died there was a rebellion and most of Israel broke away from Solomon’s successor, David’s grandson, Rehoboam. Rehoboam continued to rule over the southern part of Israel, the area we know as Judaea . For 400 years (and this is amazing) the kings of Judaea were descendants of King David. The northern kingdom that rebelled against David’s successors suffered under a succession of kings and rebellions. In less than 300 years the northern kingdom was destroyed by the Assyrians, people from northern Iraq. About 100 years after that, the Babylonians from southern Iraq conquered the Assyrians and took control of the entire Middle East. The conquest of the Babylonians brings us up to Jeremiah whom we heard in today’s first reading. At the time of Jeremiah, here was the situation: the northern kingdom no longer existed. The southern kingdom, Judaea, was still being ruled by David’s descendants but they were not loyal to God or to God’s laws. Jeremiah spoke to these kings as they came into power, the last four being: Jehoahaz, Jehoiakim, Jehoikin and Zedekiah. Zedikiah, the last reigning king, died in disgrace. After the Babylonians captured him, his sons were slaughtered before his eyes, he was then blinded and led off to Babylon in chains where he presumably died. You can read how Jeremiah spoke with them in great detail in the book of Jeremiah. He told them exactly what they needed to do to survive the invading forces of Babylon. His messages were ignored. He blames them and their leadership for the destruction that came upon God’s people. As we heard in today’s first reading, God speaks through Jeremiah: “Woe to the shepherds who mislead and scatter the flock of my pasture.” God said he would take over shepherding his people; he would bring them back from exile; he would appoint leaders over them who would serve them well and lead them to peace and security. It took 600 years before God thought the world was ready for this king who would reign and govern wisely, who would do what is just and right in the land.

But then he came, through the announcement of an angel to a virgin who was engaged to a man named Joseph of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel said to her “Do not be afraid Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his Kingdom there will be no end.”

In last week’s gospel, Jesus sent his apostles out to heal and cast out demons and to call people to repentance. In today’s gospel we are told of their return, excited over their experience and tired. Jesus wanted to some time off, but he couldn’t. The mission of Jesus and his apostles apparently was so successful that a great crowd caught up with them before they had chance to catch their breath. Mark describes Jesus taking compassion on them (his heart was moved with deep sympathy for them would probably be a better translation). He saw them as sheep without a shepherd, - people without leadership, and he began to teach them.

One of the important messages in today’s readings is that in love our Lord leads us, by teaching us and appointing others to teach us. But we need to listen, and we need to keep on listening. We’ll never be finished listening and learning as long as our world suffers from injustice, poverty, hunger, discrimination, war, hatred and killing of innocent people. Christ would be put to death before he would stop teaching. It is to our own great loss when we stop listening. That’s one of the reasons we are here each weekend, to listen and to learn. We call ourselves disciples. The word disciple means learner. When we’ve quit learning, we’ve quit being a disciple.

                R. The core of sin is independence
                    of God – to make
                    decisions independent
                    of God –
                    Relativism – secularism –
Consenting to the temptation of satan –

Genesis 3: 6

The woman saw that the tree was good to eat and pleasing to the eye, and that it was enticing for the wisdom that it could give. So she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate it.

                R. Sin entered the world – there was
                    the harmony of God's creation
                    distorted – Thus human beings
                    are living rebelling against
                    God. There is envy, lust,
                    covetousness, pride –

Man sees God with a distorted vision
Man sees others with a distorted vision
Man sees himself with a distorted vision

Adam and Eve were naked –

We see in the holocaust how
they were shot naked and how
                    awful it looked –
                    men, women and children
                    stripped and killed in the
                    showers

We see the order, the harmony of
                    God's creation is fractured
                    by man's disobedience to
                    God

The devil wants a person to lie about
                    their disobedience to God –

                    Sin is disobedience to God

                    We are accountable and responsible
                        for sin against God –

                    God makes the rules –

                    Man in disobedience seeks
                        independence from God –

The devil wants to make right
                        look wrong and wrong look
                        right –

                Misuse of power –

Look what happened to the King
                    who disobeyed Jeremiah –

What about the Roman Emperor who
                    killed the Christians because
                    he wanted to be recognized
                    as Divine

Blame enters the world with the sin
                    of Adam and Eve –
                    husbands blame wives –
                    Look at the T.V.
                    Men seeking dominance for
                        dominance sake –
                    Power - struggles
                    Power over –

God wants harmony – he gives
                    authority to some – the
                    devil wants utter pandemonium

The devil wants the rule given to those who
                    force their misuse of power.

There is one rule that works –
We live to do God's will –
We live to promote the Kingdom of God
                    We live in love –
                    Nothing else works –

                Take disobedience to the heights
                    and you self-destruct –

Look at the time of Noah –
that is a lesson for us –

If you disobey God – bad things
                    happen –

                Mary appeared in rainbow color

 Genesis 9: 12-17

‘And this’, God said, ‘is the sign of the covenant which I now make between myself and you and every living creature with you for all ages to come: I now set my bow in the clouds and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I gather the clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds, I shall recall the covenant between myself and you and every living creature, in a word all living things, and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all living things. When the bow is in the clouds I shall see it and call to mind the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth, that is, all living things.’

‘That’, God told Noah, ‘is the sign of the covenant I have established between myself and all living things on earth.’

                R. Grace moves a person toward God
                Concupiscence moves one toward sin.
Sin upsets the order willed by
                    God.

Genesis 3: 18-19

It will yield you brambles and thistles,
as you eat the produce of the land.
By the sweat of your face
    will you earn you food,
until you return to the ground,
as you were taken from it.
    For dust you are
and to dust you shall return.

                R. Sin entered the world –

Romans 5: 12- 21

Well then; it was through one man that sin came into the world, and through sin death, and thus death has spread through the whole human race because everyone has sinned. Sin already existed in the world before there was any law, even though sin is not reckoned when there is no law. Nonetheless death reigned over all from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sin was not the breaking of a commandment, as Adam's was. He prefigured the One who was to come . . .

There is no comparison between the free gift and the offence. If death came to many through the offence of one man, how much greater an effect the grace of God has had, coming to so many and so plentifully as a free gift through the one man Jesus Christ! Again, there is no comparison between the gift and the offence of one man. One single offence brought condemnation, but now, after many offences, have come the free gift and so acquittal! It was by one man’s offence that death came to reign over all, but how much greater the reign in life of those who receive the fullness of grace and the gift of saving justice, through the one man, Jesus Christ. One man’s offence brought condemnation on all humanity; and one man’s good act has brought justification and life to all humanity. Just as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by one man’s obedience are many to be made upright. When law came on the scene, it was to multiply the offences. But however much sin increased, grace was always greater; so that as sin’s reign brought death, so grace was to rule through saving justice that leads to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Genesis 4: 6-7

Yahweh asked Cain, ‘Why are you angry and downcast? If you are doing right, surely you ought to hold your head high! But if you are not doing right, Sin is crouching at the door hungry to get you. You can still master him.’

                R. Doing good should be a sufficient
                    reward in and of itself

                Cain lied to God

The sin is committed, Cain kills
                    Abel –

Genesis 4: 23-24

Lamech said to his wives:

Adah and Zillah, hear my voice,
wives of Lamech, listen to what I say:
I killed a man for wounding me,
a boy for striking me.
Sevenfold vengeance for Cain,
but seventy-sevenfold for Lamech.

                R. Vengeance – pride, arrogance,
                    revenge

Men and women seek to be like God
                    without God

Genesis 7: 11-13

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, and on the seventeenth day of the month, that very day all the springs of the great deep burst through, and the sluices of heaven opened. And heavy rain fell on earth for forty days and forty nights.

That very day Noah and his sons Shem, Ham and Japheth boarded the ark, with Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons,

                R. Noah – a new father –

After Adam and Eve fell there was
                    division, not harmony –
                    rebellion
                    slothfulness

Tower of Babel – they wanted to
be like God without God –

                They wanted independence of God

                Slow deterioration of unity

                R. They disobeyed the prophets sent
                    to them –

                They wanted equality with God.

Satan says, "I will not serve God."

                They worship themselves–
                pride - arrogance - seeking
                    power over

After the fall – they were scattered –
When man sins – he hurts others
                    after them –

We are a thread in a Master Plan

                Me – Me – Me

A city divided against itself will
                    not stand

                Abraham – Father of Nations

                Moses – chosen people

                God never breaks His Covenant

                Jews were the chosen people

We are chosen under Jesus Christ.

                God molds us in grace

                We see Abraham, Jacob
                We see Peter and Paul

                Jesus came!

                R. Barren women in the scriptures –

                God gave them children –

                Abraham led the way
                Abraham a person of faith
                    faithful to God –

He was blessed with being the
                    Father of many nations –

                Those disobeying God can
                    self-destruct –

                Abraham – Faith
Abraham – did what God wanted
                Abraham – sacrificed!
                Abraham – served God
                Abraham – faithful to God

From sin we move further and further
                    from God –
                    we have a distorted view
                    when we sin
                    Distorted Vision

1 Corinthians 3: 9-13, 16-17

After all, we do share in God’s work; you are God’s farm, God’s building.

By the grace of God which was given to me, I laid the foundations like a trained master–builder, and someone else is building on them. Now each one must be careful how he does the building. For nobody can lay down any other foundation than the one which is there already, namely Jesus Christ. On this foundation, different people may build in gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay or straw but each person’s handiwork will be shown for what it is. The Day which dawns in fire will make it clear and the fire itself will test the quality of each person’s work.

Do you not realise that you are a temple of God with the Spirit of God living in you? If anybody should destroy the temple of God, God will destroy that person, because God’s temple is holy; and you are that temple.

                R. Misuse of power is so a person
can establish their own rules –
They want to throw out what is
                    the rule, so they misuse
power to get rid of what is
                    stopping them ruling –
Once they slowly work at it
                    through games, force,
                    argumentation, usurping
                    power through misuse –
making their rule – they continually
                    force their own regime on
                    others – new rules opposed
                    to God's rules –

This is how satan works in people
                    with this negative, aggressive
                    usurping of power and order
                    as satan pushes ahead –
trying to make a situation in
                    which those wanting to operate
by God's rules are caught in
the chains, the evil one has
                    used through an unfaithful
person – binding the good by
                    some force they use.

The dark reality of satan, of sin
is a place of darkness –
                    like a dingy, dark, unloving
                    basement, isolated and holding
men at bay by misuse of power,
                    corruption of power against God's
                    will.

We see Adam and Eve disobeyed God's
                    will.

Disobeying God's will brings chaos –
lets satan come in disorder –
                    things can break, disharmony –

                Where one disobeying God opens
                    themselves to satan.

One obeying God's will is blessed –
there is harmony and light –
the Holy Spirit is working –

A person opposing God's will opens
                    themselves to chaos, disorder,
                    commotion – a negative energy
                    surrounds them.

God has called us to love of Him and love
                    of each other.

God has called us to live and seek His will,
to love His will, to study His Plan,
to realize our dependence on Him –
                    Obedience to God's will.

Romans 8: 5-9

Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires; those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things. And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life and peace, because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God's Law, and indeed it cannot, and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God. You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made a home in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

                R. God created the world - the seen and the unseen –
                    out of nothing

God created man. God made human beings
the apex of creation – God created
                    for purpose and meaning.

                God created with balance
                    There is order
There is symmetry in God's creation.

                God is all powerful –
                God is all good
God is the Master of creation –

                Adam and Eve disobeyed God
Eve wanted to be equal to God –
                    Adam and Eve rebelled against
                        God's Plan.

In chaos and disharmony, division in
relationships things don't feel good –

God is peace and love –

The Holy Spirit comes in loving, forgiving hearts –
you feel, peace – not commotion
attacking authority – rebellion – this feels bad

                Dear

I give my heart to Jesus and Mary with you in love.

If anybody should destroy the temple of God, God will destroy that person, because God’ s temple is holy; and you are that temple.

We are happy to write to you and tell you how we pray for you night and day before the exposed Eucharist in China, Indiana, USA. Our founder, Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. (doctorate in theology), started a network of prayer chapters over 19 years ago. Now, they stretch around the world and our prayer manual is in eight languages with the Church’s Imprimatur. We try to grow in greater intimacy with God, united to the Mass so our prayers will be strong prayers for you our beloved hierarchy. Our lives are lived doing this work of spreading the Priestly Newsletter and/or homilies of my brother, Fr. Joseph Robinson.

The Word and the Eucharist are the Bread of Life!

We circulate Fr. Joe’s homilies focused on the Word and the Eucharist. The Word and the Eucharist are the Bread of Life! Please pray for the spread of these prayer chapters dedicated to consecration to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and giving great devotion to these most precious and holy Hearts.

The Two Hearts and Fatima

Mary said at Fatima that Bishops need to consecrate their dioceses to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart. In the summer of 1994, over 19 years ago, Fr. Carter said that Our Lord told him to say the prayer manual prayers and “I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit.” Fr. Carter called this our little heaven on earth.

The Fountain of Life

For me, I have come to the realization of the gift of our Catholic Church. As co-founder, 19 years ago, I wrote this prayer January 17, 1994.

Prayer for Union with Jesus

Come to me, Lord, and possess my soul. Come into my heart and permeate my soul. Help me to sit in silence with You and let You work in my heart.

I am Yours to possess. I am Yours to use. I want to be selfless and only exist in You. Help me to spoon out all that is me and be an empty vessel ready to be filled by You. Help me to die to myself and live only for You. Use me as You will. Let me never draw my attention back to myself. I only want to operate as You do, dwelling within me.

I am Yours, Lord. I want to have my life in You. I want to do the will of the Father. Give me the strength to put aside the world and let You operate my very being. Help me to act as You desire. Strengthen me against the distractions of the devil to take me from Your work.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

We are so gifted. The Church was born through the pierced Heart of Jesus. Blood and water poured out from His pierced Heart, Water for Baptism, Blood for the Eucharist. The Church in having this great devotion to His Sacred Heart and Mary’s Immaculate Heart can help make reparation to these two most precious Hearts. Mary asked for this at Fatima in order to have peace in the world.

Oh this fountain of His life – given to us in the Church through the hands of His precious priests.

I wrote this song, I Love You Jesus, to give great love to Jesus and His precious Heart: “Oh Burning Heart, Oh Love Divine, How dear you are to me; I see the host; I know you’re there to love and care for me.” I beg in the song for Him to give us life, abundant life, I thirst to be with Thee.

The Indwelling of the Trinity and the Life of Grace

Our lives are to be lived in this deeper interior life – Of every moment – so one with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit who dwell in a special way in our graced baptized soul – To be fed by His Word and the Eucharist at Mass and adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Matthew 22:36-40

‘Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?’ Jesus said to him, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang the whole Law, and the Prophets too.’

I see it this way – our lives are this preparation for the beatific vision – the fullness of life – our unity with Father, Son and Holy Spirit for all eternity – but our relationship grows every moment of our lives as I am one in my heart more and more with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit – so wrapped in Their love – growing in that oneness as St. Paul says:

Galatians 2: 19-20

…I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

I wrote this Prayer, Before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, from the Mass Book.

A Prayer before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

Let me be a holy sacrifice and unite with God in the sacrament of His greatest love.

I want to be one in Him in this act of love, where He gives Himself to me and I give myself as a sacrifice to Him. Let me be a holy sacrifice as I become one with Him in this my act of greatest love to Him.

Let me unite with Him more, that I may more deeply love Him. May I help make reparation to His adorable Heart and the heart of His Mother, Mary. With greatest love, I offer myself to You and pray that You will accept my sacrifice of greatest love. I give myself to You and unite in Your gift of Yourself to me. Come and possess my soul.

Cleanse me, strengthen me, heal me. Dear Holy Spirit act in the heart of Mary to make me more and more like Jesus.

Father, I offer this my sacrifice, myself united to Jesus in the Holy Spirit to You. Help me to love God more deeply in this act of my greatest love.

Give me the grace to grow in my knowledge, love and service of You and for this to be my greatest participation in the Mass. Give me the greatest graces to love You so deeply in this Mass, You who are so worthy of my love.       - Mass Book, December 27, 1995

Living United to the Mass

We unite to the Mass, all day, every day, in our Morning Offering. We, the members of the mystical body of Christ, are deeply united to the Masses going on around the world.

In this offering at Mass and in all we do, during our day and night, living according to the will of the Father in love: we unite to Jesus in the Mass (the Mass the sacrifice of Calvary, sacramentally made present) and we pray to the Father – in the Holy Spirit, through the intercession of the angels and saints, the souls in purgatory and united to one another, through the intercession of our beloved Heavenly Mother – we want to be giving such love to God in this union who is all deserving of our love – our love in praising and thanking Him and making reparation for our sins and the sins of the whole human race – (In this act we want to be loving God with our whole heart, our whole soul, our whole being).

We then give great love to the souls of this earth, in petitioning that God outpours His grace to these souls, to be as the Father wishes them to be. We also pray for grace for them to cooperate with that grace God gives. We are more deeply one united to the Mass in our Morning Offering.

Our lives are thus an offering – united to the Mass going on around the world – giving great love, adoration, praise, reparation and petition to God.

Loving God – Loving others as ourselves.

Loving our brothers so deeply, we are praying for that conversion Mary asked for at Fatima – praying for the grace to be as our Heavenly Father wants us to be. Loving God – Loving others as ourselves.

And we love ourselves as the unique creation of our heavenly Father – with a purpose to be Christ to one another in the world – Love in Him.

Knowing that union every minute – where I am never alone – knowing the Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwell in my graced baptized soul, and therefore, my relationship with God deepens into greater oneness – AWESOME

Oh God, You are so good to us, indeed. Help us to be Your instruments in this world – to live as Your holy ones – united to the Mass – serving You and growing in greater holiness.

My brother’s book really focuses on the Word: the Old Testament and New Testament. It focuses on the purity of living life, rejoicing in these precious gifts God gives us in the Church. It helps us in our journey here in loving God and others and responding to God’s call to us.

A Bit of Personal History

My mom and dad were married at St. Boniface Church June 25, 1936. Joe, my oldest brother, was born October 14, 1937. I, the youngest of five, was born August 8, 1946. Fr. Carter, S.J., our founder, entered the Jesuits August 8, 1951. My mom died 1952 when I was 5.

Fr. Don McCarthy, my cousin, said his first Mass at St. Boniface, August 29, 1954. He usually says Mass on the 13th of each month. Forty years later on August 30, 1994, I began my first prayer chapter, the core prayer chapter, under the direction of Fr. Ed Carter, S.J. This is where Fr. Joe and Fr. Don went to the seminary, along with Fr. Don’s two priest brothers.

On March 22, 1994, St. Lucia’s birthday (the main Fatima visionary), the corner fell off the once seminary built in 1922 where all the Cincinnati priest went until 1981.

On December 17, 1996, the image appeared in Clearwater, Florida. We began circulating prayer manuals praying for the priests from this place right away.

We acquired this building in 1998 and have had it ever since circulating prayer manuals, rosaries, etc. 15 years now.

On March 1, 2004 someone shattered the image head with a sling-shot.

Our Mission and the Consecration to the Two Hearts

The Father has a Plan. This is the time He chose us to be here to help the souls that Jesus died for. We are brothers in Christ. We are to live in love of God and others. We are to recognize our part in uniquely loving and building God’s Kingdom here and now.

We have circulated over 17,000,000 Priestly Newsletters in books and individually for 19 years at the direction of Fr. Carter, S.J., our founder.

 1. We hope Bishops consecrate their diocese to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart and spread this devotion as Mary asked for at Fatima. Fr. Carter said, July 31, 1994, Jesus asked him to begin these prayer chapters.

2. The more people consecrate themselves, their homes, the schools, the Churches and all places to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart, the more we will go to the period of peace Mary promised at Fatima.

“But in the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, Russia will be converted, and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world.” (13) Our Lady’s Peace Plan, op cit., p.5.

Fr. Carter said that Jesus told him the following on July 31, 1994.

Words to Members of Shepherds of Christ Associates:

My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.

I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.

I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit.

— Father Edward J. Carter, S.J., Founder, Feast of Saint Ignatius Loyola,
July 31, 1994 Founder of the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits)

Fr. Carter also said that Jesus told him to start the Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Ministry.

Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus

My dear fellow Associate Members,

Jesus is calling special apostles to join a new division of the Shepherds of Christ Movement. Here is a message from Jesus given to Father Carter:

My beloved priest-companion, I am requesting that a new prayer movement be started under the direction of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. I am asking for volunteers who are willing to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for one hour, twice-weekly. Members of the Shepherds of Christ prayer chapters, as well as others, are to be invited to join this movement.

These apostles are to pray for the intentions I am giving you. For part of the hour they are to use the prayers of the Shepherds of Christ Associates Handbook. They may spend the rest of the hour as they so choose.

I will use this new prayer movement within My Shepherds of Christ Ministries in a powerful way to help in the renewal of My Church and the world. I will give great graces to those who join this movement. The name, Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, is to be given to this movement.

I am inviting My beloved Rita Ring to be coordinator for this activity.

I pour out the great love of My Sacred Heart to all. I am Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.

This is indeed a special calling for us to unite in one heart with His Eucharistic Heart and pray for the following intentions:

1. For the spread of the devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary culminating in the reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.

6. For all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, and for the spread of this movement to the world.

2. For the Pope.

7. For all members of the Catholic Church.

3. For all bishops of the world.

8. For all members of the human family.

4. For all priests.

9. For all souls in purgatory.

5. For all sisters and brothers in the religious life

I can see when we are in heaven (if we go to heaven), we would be looking to the earth and seeing this network of prayer chapters dedicated to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart – helping to strengthen our priests, the Church and the world. What strength and grace it could help to be released because there are prayers all over the world dedicated to this.

We do not know how much God is asking us to do things that will help bring down grace for those of the future Church – like this network of prayer chapters Associates of the Shepherds of Christ.

Jesus died and Jesus rose and He is with us this day in His Divinity and humanity in the Eucharist, God’s undaunted love for us. God is with us! The Holy Spirit leads us to greater love and unity, to greater life in Him.

Please help us spread these prayer chapters – praying for the priests, the Church and the world with such devotion to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart with the Litanies, Seven Sorrows, Promises of the Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary and Consecration to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart.

    God is with us!

Thank You

Oh thank you for all you do. We love you and the Church and God so much. We want to do His work and we love the souls Jesus died for.

Sincerely in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary,

Rita Ring, Co-founder
Shepherds of Christ

  3. 3. I am the One Who sets the captives free.

  4. 4. I open the minds of the blind.

  5. 5. I gave My Apostles the power to forgive sins.

  6. 6. I gave you My Church, My Bride.

  7. 7. I sent the Holy Spirit to come to you.

  8. 8. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

  9. 9. The Spirit of Truth comes to you.

  10. 10. You must walk in the ways of truth.

Descent of the Holy Spirit

                Jesus:

  1. 1. On that Pentecost the Holy Spirit came upon them in tongues of fire.

  2. 2. Where they were once blind they could see.

  3. 3. Pray for the Holy Spirit to come alive in your hearts. Pray the Holy Spirit Novena I gave you. It is for your Church and your world, for you and your family, for healing, for protection from the evil one. It is to help you be My spouse

  4. 4. Say often, "Oh Holy Spirit, enkindle in me the fire of God's love."

  5. 5. See the fire from My Heart.

  6. 6. See the love of God as a burning furnace, a flame of the deepest intensity, beyond your human comprehension.

  7. 7. Pray the Holy Spirit Novena as a body at 6:20, being united to all others all over the world.

  8. 8. Have the pictures of these mysteries fixed in your mind. See Mary and the Apostles and the fire above their heads. Meditate on this mystery. Meditate how the Apostles were no longer afraid, but fearless.

  9. 9. Say, "Oh Holy Spirit, fill US WITH the FIRE of God's love."

  10. 10. Sing: Come Holy Ghost, think of every word, pray to Him with all your hearts as you sing. Feel the words deep in your hearts. The Holy Spirit is your God.

  2. 2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.

  3. 3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against Hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.

  4. 4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.

  5. 5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary shall not perish.

  6. 6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.

  7. 7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.

  4. 4. I will be their refuge during life and above all in death.

  5. 5. I will bestow a large blessing on all their undertakings.

  6. 6. Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.

  7. 7. Tepid souls shall grow fervent.

  8. 8. Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.

  9. 9. I will bless every place where a picture of My Heart shall be set up and honored.

  10. 10. I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.

  11. 11. Those who promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.

  12. 12. I promise you in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the first Friday in nine consecutive months the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving their sacraments; My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

  1. 10. The promise I made to your Founder is:

I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit.

Coronation

            Jesus:

  1. 1. Mary told her children to wear the scapular and pray the rosary.

  2. 2. Mary wants peace, the Father wants peace. God wants you to be children of love.

  3. 3. Mary will be recognized by her children.

  4. 4. You must spread the devotion of the First Saturdays and tell them Mary has given a great promise to those that observe the 5 First Saturdays.

  5. 5. I promise you great things for observing the First Fridays.

  6. 6. I promise you great things for spreading devotion to My Heart.

  7. 7. I will write your name in My Heart if you heed My wishes.

  8. 8. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus on fire for love of you.

  9. 9. I will reign in all hearts.

  10. 10. R. The Sacred Heart of Jesus will reign and the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph. Alleluia, the risen LORD is with us today.

Guiding Light - Reflect on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Reflect on the Word - Cycle B —  The Word leaves an impression on our souls. In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - The Word Alive in Our Hearts
Inspiring Homilies covering partial year of Cycle A by Fr. Joe Robinson
$ 10.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - The Word Alive in Our Hearts. - Cycle A (partial) — Homilies by the Reverend Joe Robinson given at St. Boniface Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is a tremendous honor Fr. Joe has allowed us to share these great gifts with you – for greater holiness and knowing more and more about God. $10

Priestly Newsletter 2000 Issue 1
Audio CD - Read by Father Edward J. Carter
$ 10.00  plus postage

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #1 - CD. - Christ is Our Strength - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our-selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #2 - CD. - Suffering: A Source of Life - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. Fr. Carter knew suffering that year. His voice is so powerful as he read each Newsletter from his heart and soul. "Every man has his own share in the redemption. Each one is also called to share in that suffering through which the redemption was accomplished. He is called to share in that suffering through which all human suffering has also been redeemed. In bringing about the redemption through suffering, Christ has also raised human suffering to the level of the redemption. Thus each man in his suffering can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ–." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
