                From August 2, 1995 Rosary

Mary's Heart

The Visitation

1. R. Oh, tender Heart of the Child Jesus, that was formed in the womb of the Virgin Mary, help us to unite ever closer to Your tender and gentle loving Heart through the heart of Your beloved Mother.

2. R. Mary went to visit her cousin Elizabeth. Her heart is bursting with such joy to share the good news. She goes to one person and tells the great news that she is carrying the Child Jesus within her womb. In the rosary chapel, there is the window on Jesus ascending into Heaven. Mary goes to one person and as Jesus ascended into Heaven He left behind the Apostles to carry out the work that He had begun. This day He gives to us this mission - to carry out His life, death and resurrection in our lives. As we meditate deeply on these mysteries of the rosary, the lives of Jesus and Mary live more in our lives. We join more fully in the liturgy as we know more and more about Their lives.

3. R. Mary carried the Child Jesus within her womb. The child within Elizabeth’s womb, leapt for joy. Today we receive Jesus in the Eucharist. We receive the presence of the Almighty God. We receive the Almighty God, Jesus Christ, in His Divinity and His humanity in the Eucharist. Should we not leap for joy at the fact that the Almighty God gives Himself to us!

4. R. God the Father chose the Virgin Mary. God the Father so loved this world that He sent His Son Jesus in her womb. Mary is the Singular vessel. We unite in deep union with Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the heart of Mary, her Immaculate Heart. Mary loves the Father so much. Mary loves her Son. Mary is the Spouse of the Holy Spirit. We will unite in the deepest union with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit through Mary’s heart.

5. R. The heart of Mary knows the Heart of Christ. Mary pondered so many things in her heart. We should love God through Mary’s heart - love our brothers through Mary’s heart and love all the little children of the world through Mary’s heart. If I dwell in the heart of Mary, I will love more and more as Mary loved, with her pure and gentle heart.

6. R. Mary carried the child within her womb. Mary is the

Mother of God. Mary, full of grace.

7. R. The more I unite to the heart of Mary, the more I dwell in her heart, the more I will act in pure and gentle likeness to Mary, perfect handmaid of the Lord. The more I love with Mary’s heart, the more I am united with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

From Tell My People

The Holy Spirit

Jesus: “My beloved friend, tell My people to pray daily to the Holy Spirit. They are to pray for an increase in His gifts. My people must realize that the Holy Spirit comes to transform them. The Spirit desires to transform you more and more according to My image. Those who are docile to His touch become increasingly shaped in My likeness. He performs this marvel within Mary’s Immaculate Heart. The more one dwells in My Mother’s Heart, the more active are the workings of the Spirit. The Spirit leads Mary to place you within My own Heart. In both Our Hearts, then, your transformation continues. The more you are formed after My own Heart, the more I lead you to the bosom of My Father. Tell My people all this. Tell them to pray daily for a greater appreciation of these wondrous gifts. I am Lord and Master. All who come to My Heart will be on fire to receive the gifts of the Spirit in ever greater measure! I love and bless My people!”

Reflection: The Holy Spirit is given to us to fashion us ever more according to the likeness of Jesus. And the more we are like Jesus, the more Jesus leads us to the Father. Do we, each day, pray to the Holy Spirit to be more open to His transforming influence? Do we strive each day to grow in union with Mary? The greater our union with our Mother, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, the greater is the transforming action of the Holy Spirit within us.   end of excerpt

                R. Jesus has delivered these messages to me,
a housewife and mother and a
woman to tell the world –
When we are weak, He is strong –
God can use us with our feeble
                    ways and in our unworthiness
                    to accomplish great things
                    with His Might.

Jesus came as a suffering servant for
love of us. Jesus loves us so much –

Sunday is an important Feast to Him.

Listen to His messages of love

to help renew the Church and the world and
to pray – majorly pray for the priests,
the Church and the world with these

                offenses against His Heart and

Jesus wants the communion of reparation.

Jesus wants us to celebrate on the
                Feast of the Sacred Heart.

Jesus wants devotion to the Blessed Sacrament.

Picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus I Love You

 April 13, 1994

Words of Jesus. Read before the Tabernacle.

Jesus:  How, child, do I, Jesus, tell you I love you? You hold on to silly things when God is in your midst and is ardently loving you. I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I am writing to each precious child this day. I am on fire for love of you. I remain in the Eucharist to be with you with My ardent love. I did not want to leave My beloved ones at the Last Supper. I love you so, My dear and ardently loved children. I remain with you this day in the Blessed Sacrament, the same Jesus Who died a brutal death on the Cross.

Do you know I am truly present there? Do you know that God waits every day for you in the tabernacle? Do you comprehend even a minute amount of My love? You will never know of how I love you on earth.

I, Jesus, truly the Son of God, came to earth a man and suffered a brutal death for love of you. I love you so much! I remain with you this day. I long for your love. I want you to come and be with Me in front of the tabernacle. I wait, I yearn for you to come and whisper your love to Me. I am a person and I love you this day, with such an ardent on-fire love! No human could ever compare a speck to My love for you.

I wait, little ones, in the tabernacle. I wait for you to come and receive Me in Communion. I want you to want Me so much you cannot wait to come and receive Me. I want to be the love, the center of your life!

I am Jesus. I am the Son of God. I am writing to you this day. I want to possess your very soul and live in you. I have all you need, sweet ones. Oh, you are so blind! I long for your union with Me. I wrote the book of love. I instituted it, yet you go to the world for your love and do not even come to Me! Oh, I love you, little ones. Little ones, beloved of the Father, loved by the Holy Spirit, mothered by My very own mother! What more can I say? The rest is up to you!

I give you your will with such love and I want your love freely given. I am God. What do you think you could ever need that I do not give you? I am the Savior of this world. I am Jesus, the Son of God. I am waiting for you. I am longing for you. I am yearning for you. I am God. I have all you ever will need!

Surrender this life to Me. Pray My Prayer for Union with Me. I want to possess your soul and operate from your very being. I am Jesus. I am the Son of God. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I am Who am. I died and rose on the third day.

Harken to My call, harken to My pleading. Spend your days in love with Me. Nothing matters unless it is rooted in Me and rooted in My love. I am the Son of God. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I love you with the tenderest love. I am waiting this day for just you, My beloved one. Come to Me for I am the tenderest of all hearts. I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Words of Jesus to Members of
Shepherds of Christ Associates:

"My beloved priest-companion, I intend to use the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, and the movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates, in a powerful way for the renewal of My Church and the world.

"I will use the newsletter and the chapters of Shepherds of Christ Associates as a powerful instrument for spreading devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart.

"I am calling many to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. To all of them I will give great blessings. I will use them as instruments to help bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. I will give great graces to the members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. I will call them to be deeply united to My Heart and to Mary's Heart as I lead them ever closer to My Father in the Holy Spirit."

this devotion to the Sacred Heart.

Excerpt from May 5, 2013 Rosary

Jesus: And I come to you in a special way in this rosary and I want to touch your hearts. Let go now. Let go of all of those anxieties and worries. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with the desire to do God's will in all things, to let go to God, to say 'yes' to God, to be as God wants you to be, which means a total commitment in your heart, of loving God with greater love and loving one another with a heart that is more and more likened to Mine.

Jesus: And I am with you in a special way.

Jesus: Let go and let Me fill your heart with My love.

The Resurrection

3. Jesus: I am the Light of the World. Pray now to be healed in body, mind and soul.

4. Jesus: Let Me outpour My richest grace on you, that you open your hearts wide, that you are ready, that you let go of the fear and that you ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with love.

7. Jesus: And I carried My cross on the way to Calvary and My thoughts were of you, with the weight on My back, and I fell under the cross, but My thoughts were of you. And you hold onto foolish things when I am calling you to greater intimacy with Me. Oh My precious one, how indeed I want to be so close to you.

                May 31, 2013 continues

                R. The devil works in anger, where we
choose ourselves to be angry inside,
feeling cheated or unhappy and believe
others should make us happy – even
read our minds to know how we
                are thinking.

The devil works in this thinking
as we choose to think we will have
some prince, person who will be so
close to us and understand us and
                then we will be happy.

                    I remember a book once I read
years ago "Happiness is an inside Job."
I don't remember much of the book
but the title gives a big message
                in itself.

                    What do we want?

Do we really want to know peace and
love, then it is in looking inside and
praying for God to fill us with His life
more and more abundantly and quit making
                problems for ourselves with thinking
that can shut us down because we
                do not mature to know
                "Happiness is an inside job".
We were meant to love and give love to
others, to be rooted in God, to know
He has the way for us to live.

If we want peace, it must be
rooted in the Father's will. Let go
and Let God – Let go and experience
freedom. We were created by God to know,
love and serve Him and love our
                neighbor as ourselves –
Let go and Let God –

To enjoy each other's company, but not
                    to be slavishly dependent.

To be thankful to God for His gifts to us,
our calling in our vocation –

To be united to God every step of the way –
to trust in His Plan for us –
                    to seek it –
                    to embrace it –
                    to love it –
and to be as He wants us to be.

We have been baptized into new life.
We are temples of the Holy Spirit.
We are His – He controls the universe.

Give Him your all and know the freedom
                    of flying.

                R. Know how God runs the universe –

                God created us –
                God has a plan –

God loves us more than we can love
                    ourselves.
                    WOW! WOW! WOW!

Jesus paid the price for love of us,
this we know – if we really
listen to His words in the
                    Blue Books –
We hear His love for us and
He wants our love in return.

Addicted to excitement - the devil wants
you to be engaged in a crisis –
to be engaged, to have a problem
                    to be angry –
                    to be under pressure –
to work against peace and deep
                    intimacy with God.

The reality is God lives in the graced,
                    baptized soul –

God allows us to suffer many times
                    to come to Him –
                    suffer and identify our sufferings
                    with His –

We can live our whole life looking
in the wrong places to be
                    satisfied –

Our hearts were made for God –
Our hearts were made for heaven –

We will not be completely satisfied
                    here

We see before us our life here will
                    end –

We see the beginning of life in a
                    new born baby –

We know eternal life is ahead.

We saw our parents die, probably,
                    our bodies begin to deteriorate,
we know that we cannot stop
the aging process – no matter
                    how we try –

People older than us get older and
                    older and even movie stars
                    so young, once, and handsome
die. We see the dying and rising of
trees in winter and trees in spring –
What is that all about anyway?
We see flowers that are cut and beautiful
for us, die and we throw them away –
Life goes on all around us –
The birds, the fish of the sea,
the earth is beautiful and it changes –
We are changing - every moment we
are changing here in this time.
We see the order in the world, the
                    perfection in God's creation, the
beauty of the night, the light of
                    the day.

We rest, only to grow older and older
and know our bodies are deteriorating.
We have wonderful days to celebrate,
but they don't last forever, but our
hearts can be forever young in love –
love is eternal – love of God – love
of others – seeing ourselves as
eternally destined for heaven if we
follow the Father's Plan – our
life in Him only getting fuller and
fuller until we go to heaven and have
                    the fullness of life –

We have to learn to let go. We
cannot hold onto anything. When God
takes us, we take nothing with
us – We must focus on His Plan –
We are His and He created us and He
loves us and He wants us to love Him in
return – to focus on His Plan for us.

                Song: God's Love

Excerpt from Mother at Our Side by Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. p. 41

            Peace

During my visit to Medjugorje Ivan and Vicka spoke to us, and stressed the very important role peace plays in Mary's teaching. The further we progress along the path of conversion the more we experience the peace of Christ. The more we possess the peace of Christ, the more capable we are of helping to give peace to the world.

Excerpts from April 5, 2013 Rosary

The Resurrection

Mary: And I give to you my Blue Book, See Through the Eyes of Mary, for I appeared every day and much of the time my Son Jesus also appeared with me, that you will see through my eyes. For in seeing through my eyes, you will see the truth. And I ask you to spread this Blue Book, that others will know how to see through my eyes, the eyes that will lead men to greater purity and to know the love that Jesus has for you. This is a gift that I have given to you my children. As Our Lady of Clearwater, I ask you to spread my writings to my precious children.

                The Ascension

6. ... Jesus: When God the Father put the Lady of Clearwater on the building, here, in Clearwater, the plan of the Father was to proceed ahead in a certain way, to reach many souls with the prayer chapters and that they would grow in greater holiness. When people see how they want things their way, from the smallest thing to the largest thing, and they decide that I should do it that way, leading others in the movement to do it their way, they need to get out of the way and let Me run the show, as the Father's plan is unfolding.

7. Jesus: Busy, busy, busy, busy and you run down so many dead-end streets. Did you ever say to yourself, that you were sorry for those dead-end streets, when the path was laid before you and because of obstinacies and bad habits of wanting your way, even when you had no way, just the way to do it the opposite way of what was asked of you. Doing things the opposite way of what I ask you to do will have it's consequences. I am directing you and telling you the pathway that leads to success for many souls to be touched by My writings in this Movement. Listen.

The Descent of the Holy Spirit

7. Jesus sings: And I come to you and I give to you so many gifts. Thank your heavenly Father for the gift of this place, that He has allowed the Virgin Mary to appear here, to be a great gift to you. I am Jesus, your beloved Savior, Chief Shepherd of the Flock.

9. Mary sings: I am with you my children in a special way, I am Our Lady of Clearwater.

10. Mary sings: Continue to sing, because God likes that.

Mary sings: Be very grateful for the gifts that you have been given, not envious, because that is from satan.

Mary sings: Be pure of heart, my little children.

The Assumption

3. Mary: And the days of your lives pass so swiftly. You do not realize that you see that other people grow old and they die. You must realize that today, you must live as the Father intends you to live. Focus your whole life on the Father's will.

4. Mary: Open, open your eyes. Open your ears. Open your mouths to pray. Open your heart and do not be closed down. Be trustworthy for God loves a trustworthy person.

5. Mary: Be committed in the calling that God has called you. Why would He call you, so you would be wishy-washy and test Him? Be committed my children, to the relationships that God has put in your lives. Say 'yes' to your spouses, 'yes' to your children. Do not try to search outside for things that will take you away from what is important to God.

6. Mary: The devil attacks commitments. You must pray for grace that relationships will be healed and that they will be united, for the devil wants to divide families, marriages, communities, churches - anything that will bring love, unity and peace to the world. I am the Queen of Peace, your heavenly Mother and I speak to you the truth, the truth of my Son Jesus.

7. Mary: Let your 'yes' mean 'yes' and your 'no' mean 'no'. Do not be wishy-washy! For how do you think your heavenly Father expects you to live your lives? I am Mary, your heavenly Mother.

8. Mary: I give to you this night – this night, April the 5th, 2013, a night richly blessed, by Our presence and Our love. Thank your heavenly Father. Listen to me as your heavenly Mother, the Queen of Peace of the entire world.

9. Mary: I am Our Lady of Fatima in the Americas, Our Lady of Clearwater, Our Lady of Guadalupe. I am Mary your Mother, Mother of the Church, Mother of the world.

10. Mary: Give your heart to me and my Son, Jesus. Spread this consecration to Our Two Hearts, throughout the entire world. Until a sufficient number of people have consecrated their hearts, to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, you will not have peace in the world. Reach the Bishops to consecrate their dioceses. This is important to the peace of the world. My children, these are important messages that I give to you as the Queen of Peace, Our Lady of Clearwater.

Mary: A night richly blessed you say. I say yes, my children. God the Father has allowed me to appear, to give these messages, to give to you a great gift, that you must follow. If you want peace in the world, listen to the message as I deliver it to you, now, as I appear to you as Our Lady of Clearwater, Queen of Peace.

Mary: You are missing the finer things in life, for you are focused on many odd-ball things. I am telling you this, that you will turn your focus to the will of your Heavenly Father.  Glory Be

Mary is Crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth

Sing: Hail Holy Queen Enthroned Above

Mary: My little children, peace - peace - peace. I am the Queen of Peace.

1. Sing: Jesus, Jesus, Jesus the Light of the World, King of Kings, King of Kings, Jesus the Light of the World

Mary: I am Mary your Mother. I am the Queen of Peace.

Sing: Ave Ave Ave Maria, Ave Ave Ave Maria

2. Mary: I am Mary, your heavenly Mother. Listen to me. Do as my Son, Jesus has asked you to do. Do not be obstinate and contrary. This is a very bad habit, my children.

3. Mary Sings: How do you expect to win, when you know the Father's will, and yet you oppose it. In this case, you serve satan and you will have consequences that are not good. I am your heavenly Mother, Mary, your Mother. I look out across a crowd and my eyes are looking at you, closing and opening, saying to you, my children – (Mary stops singing and continues speaking) See Through the Eyes of Mary. Listen to me. Do not be closed down. Do not be obstinate. Never punish one another, because of your willful, evil ways, for it offends your heavenly Father. Jesus paid the price for such sins of arrogant pride and aggression.

R. Oh she's so beautiful. She has all this light around her and she is like white. Thank you Mary. Thank you. Thank you, Our heavenly Mother. Thank you for this gift.

4. R. So pretty.

5. Mary: Were you ever up in the morning my children, and did you see the light as it came up? Wasn't it beautiful? It was as if the darkness gave way to the day and with such glorious light. You were filled with great joy. It is like that. When you give into habits of envy, habits of obstinacy, it is like a dark night, a cloud surrounds your heads, and when you give way to the things of God, the light steels across the sky and it gives you great joy. There are so many with bad habits, that control for no reason at all, that are hurting themselves and all around them, that are opposing the Father's plan for their control, and for their power. It displeases your heavenly Father, my children.

R. She is appearing so awesomely. Thank you so much. Thank you Mary.

6. Mary: This is a night richly blessed, that God the Father has given to you. Be grateful. Have a heart of love, for if your heart is unloving, you are not like God. Why do you fool yourself? You think that He is like that? God is love.

7. Mary: Challenging the plan of the Father is from satan. Jesus, the Sacred Heart, is meek and gentle in Heart, not combatal, not prideful, not envious or jealous, not angry and punishing. He is the sweetest of all Hearts. He is God, my children. He is God. And you have been created in that image and likeness. But you have a free will, to strive to be more like God, and pray to the Holy Spirit, or to be pompous and prideful, and allow the evil one, to rule your life, while you pride yourself further, and tell yourself you are in charge. And you are indeed, at the service of satan, who wants to tear the limbs off of the children of the world, tear apart marriages, and wants souls to go to hell for all eternity.

8. Mary: And you serve him. And I cry out to you, why do you help him? Why is your pride your god, your abuse that is so displeasing to Jesus who died for you? I stood beneath the cross of my Son, and my heart was in such anguish for the little ones that would be lost forever. I am the Lady of Light. Will you reach them my children, with your hearts filled with love, and allowing the Holy Spirit to work in you and to speak in the world? Or will you serve satan, for your obstinate pride and tearing your own life apart, and hurting the lives of so many.

9. Mary: I am Mary, Queen of the Universe.

10. Mary: I am Mary, Our Lady of Clearwater. I am Mary, Queen of Purity.

Mary: I am Mary, Our Lady of Clearwater of the Americas, Queen of Peace, Our Lady of Fatima in the Americas. I am your heavenly Mother. I have spoken to you, my children and this rosary should be published to the world.

Mary: Night richly blessed, April the 5th, 2013.  Glory Be

8. Jesus: My dear ones, I am allowing you this day to suffer many trials for the days ahead will be dark and hard. In these struggles that you experience you will know deeper and deeper life in Me. Do not give up the struggles. Accept all of the sufferings that I am giving to you. Accept the sufferings as great gifts that I give to you for it is in your struggles that you will know Me more and more. In your life, which is a constant journey, constantly dying and rising in Me. Your goal is to be united deeper and deeper in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Surrender to all of the sufferings that you are experiencing at this moment and come to My Heart. Come to Me I will give you abundant life.

October 15, 1995 - There Appeared in the Sky a Woman, Mary (excerpt)

Written at 3:00 a.m. in Jackson, Michigan:

Jesus: I am calling all present to be My apostles in the Shepherds of Christ Movement, I am working through you to help the hurting world. I will give abundant graces to all to be joined deeply in their love with Me. Many are called, few are chosen. You are called, you are chosen, I am giving you great graces. I love you. I want you in union with Me. You will carry My love to others. How can you tell others about My love if you do not love Me deeply. It is in your deep and burning love with Me you will transmit My messages of love.

The Resurrection

9. Jesus: I give to you, My children, I give to you My Sacred Heart.  I am asking you to march into the darkness and to carry the light, the light that comes forth from My burning Heart of love.  You will be pressed on.  You will be stamped on.  You will suffer and be persecuted, for the devil wants you stopped.  You must be strong.  You must know that I am strengthening you for the task at hand.  You will be strong soldiers.  You wear the marks of battle.  You are marching into a world in which many are godless to carry My light.

The Coronation

6. Jesus: And so this is My message to you, My beloved ones, I ask you to carry out this message to the world.  I ask you to begin the prayer chapters in churches, if possible.  If not, to start all prayer chapters that are possible in your homes and other places.  I have given to you these prayers that will help bring about the renewal of the Church and the world.  You must pray these prayers fervently.  You are My apostles.  I am asking you to help.  I am not asking you to be anxious and to worry.  If you are unable to do some of the prayers, I am asking you to spend an hour with Me each day.  In that hour, I will instruct you on the ways of My Heart.  I will reveal to you the will of My Father for you.  I am Jesus.  I have called you here this day.  This will help bring about the completion of the Fatima message which began 80 years before.

Excerpt from May 5, 2013 Rosary

Excerpts from August 15, 1995

The Resurrection

1. Jesus: I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. Open wide your heart and let Me penetrate your heart with My abundant grace. My dear precious ones, how I long and thirst to be ever closer to your hearts. I wait at the door of your heart and I knock to come in, to be joined ever closer in such deep union with you, to shower My gentle love upon you. I am Jesus! I came to give you new life that you will have this lifeto the full. Open wide your heart and let Me in. Put aside all the distractions, all of the doubts, all of the worries of this day and let Me talk to you deeply in your heart. Let Me tell you the words of My love and tell you more and more of the mysteries of My life and My mother’s life. I love you! I love you! I love you! I am waiting for a deeper love relationship with you, My beloved spouse.

10. Jesus: My dear special sisters, you are chosen by Me, My beloved spouse. I am waiting and longing to unite ever closer to your heart. I love you with a burning love. I want you to love Me with a heart that is filled with burning love. I am waiting for you. Come to Me in silence. Let Me speak to you as you sit before My Tabernacle, I outpour to you more and more My abundant life. As you are filled more and more with My grace, you understand greater insights into My divine mysteries. I am giving to you a sharing in My life. Each day you understand deeper and deeper these mysteries. The mystery of My love for you. I am Jesus. I love you! I love you! I love you! I am sending you into a world that is filled with many hearts that are turning cold and hard. They are suffering. They are your brothers. Stay rooted firmly in the burning flames in My Heart. You are My beloved sisters, the stars in the sky. I have called you and I want to unite to you deeper and deeper in My love.

The Ascension

3. Jesus: I come to you My beloved ones, with a Heart that is burning and filled with My divine love. I give to you a sharing in My life. You were commissioned in Baptism to go into this world and carry out the work that I have begun. My dear ones, My dear sisters, so precious to My Heart filled with burning love, come to Me, for I am waiting and longing for your love.

6. Jesus: My beloved ones, The word is mission. I send you into this world My soldiers to go forth and to spread My love. The days here are short. They seem to linger, but the batting of an eye and your life is ended. I call you to love, love of God, love of one another. Many souls are suffering and in pain. They are your brothers. I ask you to love as I have loved you, to pray every day to the Father in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the Spirit with Mary your Mother to pray for the souls of your brothers and to offer up all of your actions done in accordance to the Father’s Will. Done in great love. Such a strong prayer — Live in the Father’s Will. Unite your prayers as an offering to the Father through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for your brothers, for the souls in Purgatory. This world is suffering and in pain. You must pray as you have never prayed before. I am Jesus. I am calling to you with whatever your state in life is at this moment to be an apostle of prayer, to spend your days living in the Father’s Will with love, performing all your actions for your suffering brothers and sisters.

7. Jesus: Prayers, My dear ones, can stop wars. Pray to your Father, pray with all your hearts. I call for a love relationship with you, that you will love Me with your whole heart, your whole soul and your whole being, not words that you recite, but a consecration to My Heart and to the Heart of My beloved Mother. I am Jesus. I am waiting for you all My dear ones, as I hung on the cross, My arms outstretched. The nails penetrating My hands and My feet. The thorns had punctured My head. My dear ones, I gave My All! But My greatest sufferings was not what you see when you look at the cross, the wounds that covered My body. My greatest sufferings were the sufferings of My Heart for the indifference, the neglect, the sacrileges committed against My Heart. For I would have suffered more for My beloved souls. I love! I love! I love each and every precious soul! I shed My blood for each soul. Each precious soul created by the Father, loved dearly by Him. Will you not pray for your beloved brothers? All of your days is a prayer for this world that is suffering and in pain. I am crying out to you My beloved ones. You are My apostles that I am sending into this world to spread My love. You cannot march on this world. You must pray with all your heart. You are My chosen ones. I AM JESUS! I love you with the deepest love.

The Descent of the Holy Spirit

4. Jesus: The sun may not shine, the earth may shake. My dear, dear ones, I am alive and I am with you this day. Open wide your hearts and let Me penetrate your hearts. I want hearts that are burning, in love. Hearts that are filled with fire. Pray to the Holy Spirit to transform you from fear to fearlessness, to fill your hearts with the fire of God’s love. My dear ones, you are given such great gifts of sharing in My divine life and My divine love. My precious sisters, chosen by Me for a special mission, I love you! I love you! I love you! Dearly I love you and wait by the door of your heart. Rid yourselves of any of the walls that are keeping you from a close union with Me. Remove all of the debris in your hearts, any resentment, anger that keeps you from deeper union with Me. Trade any bitterness in your heart for a heart that is filled with My Divine love. I want your hearts holy My dear ones. Hearts that are on fire and filled with love. Hearts that sing with the love of God. Hearts that love; love God and love one another. I am giving to you, My abundant life. I am filling you with great graces. As you are filled, you will march forth into this world and carry this love in your being. As you are in your hearts, so shall you be in this world. Make hearts sing with the love of God. I am alive! I am alive! I am alive! I live in your hearts this day.

7. Jesus: My beloved sisters, I am outpouring to you My grace. I share with you My abundant grace. I ask you to open wide your hearts. Let me penetrate your soul. Come to Me. Remove any walls and know My Divine love. I am alive. For I am longing and yearning to be closer and closer to you.

10. Jesus: I love you! I love you! I love you! My beloved sisters, I am longing for deeper and deeper union with your hearts.

The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

7. Jesus: The batting of an eye, the dropping of a pin and your life is over on this earth. My dear ones, your true home is in Heaven. Live your lives in accordance to the Father’s Will. With love, always love. Love God. Love one another. Strive to be holy as the Saints, living ordinary lives, but lives of holiness. Lives of love. I am Jesus, your beloved Savior. Come to My Heart and I will teach you the ways of My love.

10. Jesus: You, My beloved one are My child. I love you! I love you! I love you! Come and dwell in My Heart. I am waiting and longing to be so close to you. Open wide your heart and let Me fill you with My life. As you go to the Heart of My mother, as you model your lives after My mother, you will grow more and more in holiness. If you love and serve your God as He wants, someday soon you will be in the courts of Heaven in deepest union with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit united to all the angels and saints and your hearts will sing. You will know the presence of the Almighty God.

A Prayer for Intimacy with the Lamb, the Bridegroom of the Soul

Oh Lamb of God, Who take away the sins of the world, come and act on my soul most intimately. I surrender myself, as I ask for the grace to let go, to just be as I exist in You and You act most intimately on my soul. You are the Initiator. I am the soul waiting Your favors as You act in me. I love You. I adore You. I worship You. Come and possess my soul with Your Divine Grace, as I experience You most intimately.

First Friday, March 6, 1998 - 10th Day

My beloved Spouse, the Bridegroom of my soul,

The days go by with such swiftness, yet my focus is entirely on being one with Thee. The days fade in and out in shades of lights and darks, some days I receive immense insight into Your mysteries, some days I am left to tremendous suffering, wanting You so deeply in my soul and not experiencing Your favor.Picture of Jesus' Heart on fire.

On this First Friday, I recall vividly the vision of Your precious Heart I hold in my heart. I see it clearly, red and filled with fire, and I know the warmth and glow of Your sacred divine love.

Oh, my Sacred Heart, indeed, Thy love is most sacred. Yet even though I do not ponder as I should on the endless fires of love emitted from your treasured Heart, I have a constant awareness of this love which leads me to march forth in this battle of helping to win souls over for the Kingdom.

Little is accomplished if I nurse my wounds on those dark days and sit in a corner waiting for a great favor from You.

I walk those shaded days as You walked with the cross on Your back, but my awareness of Your Father and His plan for salvation is so limited, and I struggle tremendously as I am pressed on as I travel on my journey to the end of the day.

And then a day of glory comes and You look upon me, my Bridegroom, and give me great favors and allow me to have a day of resurrection from the doom and the struggle.

And how did He walk the earth? He walked it too, in dark and light days. Days in which they chased Him and wanted to kill Him, in which they called Him crazy, in which He sweat the saving Blood because of His anguish, in which He was tempted, in which He wept, in which He loved Mary His Mother and Mary Magdalene, in which He raised His dear friend Lazarus from the dead, in which He preached about the Kingdom to His followers.

Days of light, days of darkness, but He entered the tomb and came forth victorious in the end.

He rose to give us life, His wounds were glorified, the victory was won.

My Bridegroom, You give to me Yourself this day. I am one in the glorified Lord in the most intimate way. The banquet is prepared. The Lamb has been slain. Now we reap the glory of the risen Lord. We receive the gift of life in Him.

LIGHT and darkness. He is the Bread of Life, He comes to feed the starved soul with Himself. Our most treasured gift, our most treasured Friend, Jesus Christ, the Bridegroom of our soul, gives Himself as a sacrifice that we will share in His life most abundantly.

I love You, Jesus Christ my Bridegroom, come and possess my soul.

Excerpt from The Spouse of the Lamb

Ash Wednesday, February 25, 1998 - 1st Day

Jesus: Do you think I acted on your soul less when I gave you the experiences of hell?

I give to you the greatest graces to know My love. I act directly on your soul. I am the Bridegroom of your soul.

R. Oh Jesus, He took me to the heights of ecstasy in Him in realizing how He is the Initiator and acts on my soul. How foolish I am indeed to think it is I who control the workings of God on my soul, when in fact He is the Bridegroom of my soul.

I see Him look at me with the greatest love, as I did once in the study, when I knew He looked at me and loved me so. I sat with a white dress and my Bridegroom looked with love on me, thinking me so beautiful to Him, me the little child of the Father in all my faults, and looking on me with such love. He stood above me as a Bridegroom dressed in black, tall and handsome, and He looked down with the most loving eyes upon me and I knew the love of the Divine Creator.

Today I knew how it was, how He acted on my soul.

I see how it is when someone really acts in love and does something for me because that person loves me.

I see myself as open, letting go, putting myself entirely in the hands of the Creator, the God I love, and the Bridegroom comes with the greatest love and His grace. He gives me Himself. My job is to be, just to be, a soul, waiting for the Bridegroom to just give me Himself in the greatest love. I am, I know it is He who acts, and when He acts His presence overtakes my soul. I am, I let go and I reminisce about all the times He just overtook my soul.

Little do I do, for it is the Bridegroom loving me, loving my soul and acting most intimately on my soul.

I sit and surrender myself entirely to Him. He is the Initiator. He is the One Who acts with His grace and NOTHING - no intimate experience, nothing here can fill the soul with this love and satisfaction.

For the Bridegroom acts and the soul is satisfied, the only desire is that it will never end. Sometimes there is such a longing and realizing the temporariness of it all. Sometimes He gives my soul such satisfaction, comfort and love, and I am filled with the greatest peace and satisfaction with less awareness of the temporariness, just peace.

Jesus:  I give you the peace of the Sacred Heart of Jesus when He acts on the soul of His spouse. I am the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. I am the Spouse of your soul. I give you this satisfaction so that you will write to Me after Communion for My Mass Books for the world. This book will be entitled the Spouse of the Lamb. I will act on your soul most intimately.

And what My child is the key, but total surrender as a spouse who knows her spouse loves her and takes the love given. You, child, pray for this grace, to be possessed by the Lamb, the Bridegroom of your soul. What lesson did I teach you this day but that it is I who act upon you, you do not control My love given to you in any way. A grace is given, a grace is received.

Your total surrender is the way to most optimally allow the Bridegroom, the Lamb, to act on your soul.

Total yielding, so that you will allow yourself to be IN ME.

R. Oh my God - how to explain that which happens when You act on my soul and what I experience. Are there any words that could do this justice when the Almighty God finds favor with me most intimately, and gives Himself to me?

Jesus:  My child, I act, you are passive, empty and open. Surrender and I will possess your soul with the lights of heaven so you can experience your Divine Lover most intimately. Surrender, surrender, surrender, a state of being and surrender to live in Him at the point of greatest intimacy in the Mass.

You will know days of darkness and joy as the shadows and lights fade in and out of your life and I reveal Myself most intimately to you.

I am Jesus Christ, the Bridegroom of your soul. Your hand must record these experiences for the marriage of the Lamb to the soul.

I act upon your soul most intimately.

R.
My beloved Jesus,

The Bridegroom of my soul. It is not I who write, but in fact, You Who write through me, to Yourself. I surrender myself and want to exist in You in such oneness that I can more optimally love You.

This is my desire to give You great love from my heart existent in You.

And this I write for 10 minutes that You will help me to love God most intimately and give myself more completely to Him.

My God, I adore You, I worship You, I love You, my beloved Spouse, the Bridegroom of my soul. I know the black Bridegroom, the one dressed as a bridegroom who wears a white robe of glory. Yes, it is the priests dressed in black that are to teach us to be the spouse of the Lamb.

Revelation 1:6

…and made us a Kingdom of Priests to serve his God and Father; to him, then, be glory and power for ever and ever. Amen.

R. And the Bridegroom comes, He summons the soul.

Oh, my Bridegroom, we pray for the wedding of the Lamb to our souls.

We pray for the spousal relationship of our souls with Our Divine God.

Jesus:  I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The life flows from My Sacred Heart to My body, the Church. Many never mention the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

What body would survive cut off from the heart? My life flows from My Heart into the body, My Church.

I am the Sacred Heart of Jesus and My Heart will reign - I am calling My people to a personal spousal relationship with God. This is the work of the Shepherds of Christ. I bless you in this mission to bring about the Reign of My Sacred Heart.

I am Jesus, the Son of God, Son of Man, the Sacred Heart, I am the beating Heart that keeps the body alive with My grace.

R. Blood and water poured forth from His most Sacred Heart. Blood a symbol of the Eucharist, water a symbol of Baptism.

He cursed the barren fig tree.

Revelation 6:13

…and the stars of the sky fell onto the earth like figs dropping from a fig tree when a high wind shakes it;

Revelation 7:17

…because the Lamb who is at the heart of the throne will be their shepherd and will guide them to springs of living water; and God will wipe away all tears from their eyes

Revelation 5:10

and made them
a line of kings and priests for God,
to rule the world.

Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus

My dear fellow Associate Members,

Jesus is calling special apostles to join a new division of the Shepherds of Christ Movement. Here is a message from Jesus given to Father Carter:

My beloved priest-companion, I am requesting that a new prayer movement be started under the direction of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. I am asking for volunteers who are willing to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for one hour, twice-weekly. Members of the Shepherds of Christ prayer chapters, as well as others, are to be invited to join this movement.

These apostles are to pray for the intentions I am giving you. For part of the hour they are to use the prayers of the Shepherds of Christ Associates Handbook. They may spend the rest of the hour as they so choose.

I will use this new prayer movement within My Shepherds of Christ Ministries in a powerful way to help in the renewal of My Church and the world. I will give great graces to those who join this movement. The name, Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, is to be given to this movement.

I am inviting My beloved Rita Ring to be coordinator for this activity.

I pour out the great love of My Sacred Heart to all. I am Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.

This is indeed a special calling for us to unite in one heart with His Eucharistic Heart and pray for the following intentions:

    1. For the spread of the devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary culminating in the reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.
    2. For the Pope.
    3. For all bishops of the world.
    4. For all priests.
    5. For all sisters and brothers in the religious life.
    6. For all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, and for the spread of this movement to the world.
    7. For all members of the Catholic Church.
    8. For all members of the human family.
    9. For all souls in purgatory.

The Birth of the Full Ministries
of the Shepherds of Christ

"I wish to share with you part of a message which Jesus gave us on October 13, 1994. The message tells us about the expansion of the Shepherds of Christ movement:

'My beloved priest-companion, today I come to you with another mission. I am asking you to establish Shepherds of Christ Ministries. At My request you have already begun the priestly newsletter, "Shepherds of Christ", and the prayer chapters, Shepherds of Christ Associates...

'I am giving you this message on this day, the 77th Anniversary of the Great Apparition at Fatima, because of the close connection between the Shepherds of Christ movement and the Fatima message. The Fatima message is centered in devotion to My Heart and My Mother's Heart, especially in consecration to Our Hearts. Shepherds of Christ Ministries is also centered in devotion to Our Hearts. I will use Shepherds of Christ Ministries as a great instrument in helping to bring about the triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the reign of My Sacred Heart. When this occurs, My Church and the world will be experiencing the great era of peace promised by My Mother at Fatima.

'Today, then, October 13, 1994, the 77th Anniversary of the Great Apparition at Fatima, marks the birth of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. I pour forth the great love of My Sacred Heart to all. I am Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.'

"Jesus has told us that Shepherds of Christ Ministries includes: the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ, Shepherds of Christ Associates prayer chapters, various publications, including books, whatever else Our Lord directs us to undertake.

"As members of Shepherds of Christ Associates, you are an extremely important part of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. You have given great joy to the Heart of Jesus by responding to His invitation to become members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. As He draws you closer to His Heart and to His Mother's Heart as Associates members, He will fill you with an ever-increasing experience of His love, peace, and joy."

Ordinariness

He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them…(Lk. 2:51).

These words of Luke conclude his description of the event referred to as the finding of the child Jesus in the temple. They also immediately precede Chapter 3 of Luke’s Gospel which begins treatment of Jesus’ public life. In between these two events—Jesus’ being found in the temple by Mary and Joseph and Jesus’ public life—there took place what is called Jesus’ hidden life at Nazareth.

During those many years at Nazareth Jesus, Mary, and Joseph lived a very ordinary existence—ordinary regarding the externals of their existence. In fact, so ordinary did their lives appear that one without faith might say that such an existence was rather mundane. Karl Rahner observes: "Let us take a good look at Jesus who had the courage to lead an apparently useless life for thirty years. We should ask Him for the grace to give us to understand what His hidden life means for our religious existence."

Notice, Rahner says an apparently useless life (italics mine). In reality, Jesus' life at Nazareth, so ordinary as to appear rather useless to one without faith, was a segment of the greatest human life ever lived. Jesus' life at Nazareth was an aspect of His redemptive effort. What seemed to be such an ordinary life, was, in actually, an aspect of the drama of Jesus' redemptive work.

We live ordinary lives, too—ordinary regarding their outward appearance. To the extent, however, that we live in union with Jesus and Mary, to the extent that we live with deep faith, hope, and love, to this extent our lives are extraordinary. We truly are living the ordinary, extraordinarily. This is what Jesus wants of us…

Spectacular opportunities for serving Christ—spectacular in their outward appearance—are relatively few in the span of one's life. We can, however, make each day special for Jesus if we allow Him to lead the way. Then our days are special because Jesus helps us to live them from the depths of our Christian existence. They are lived with great love of God and neighbor and, consequently, are great days in the real meaning of great.

Let us ask Mary, who lived those many years with Jesus and Joseph at Nazareth in a very simple, ordinary style of life, to help us see how the ordinary can truly be extraordinary.

The Greatness Of The Present Moment

We can easily develop the habit of belittling the present, not realizing that only the present is completely ours—not the past nor the future. If we wrongfully dwell on the past and the future, we miss numerous opportunities in the here-and-now to exercise our Christ-life. We pass over varied opportunities to be loving, kind, generous, and patient.

Looking ahead to future times, we dream of special opportunities to prove ourselves to be outstandingly Christian, while our neglect of present opportunities is making us terribly mediocre. Or, reflecting upon the past, we squander time mourning missed opportunities while we simultaneously waste the precious chances of the here-and-now.

All this is not to say that there should be no thought of the past or future. Proper recollection of the past, for instance, reminds us of mistakes of those former days and can aid us in avoiding the repetition of such failings. Also, a certain reflection regarding the future is necessary if we are to plan properly. Looking down the path of life as it stretches out before us is also an inspiration to work according to God's will to achieve future goals.

The past and the future, therefore, deserve some of our attention. It is the present, however, which deserves our concentrated focus.

Today is the acceptable time. Today is the time of salvation. Today is the time when I can prayerfully meet Jesus, deepen my love for Him, renew my determination to belong entirely to Him. Today is the time when I have numerous opportunities to love my neighbor in quiet but meaningful ways, especially those who are poor, or lonely, or so forgotten in their material and spiritual needs. Today is the time when I can use suffering properly, rather than waste its opportunity for growth. Today is the time when I can be patient and the time when I can be faithful to duty, despite the problems and anxieties. Today is the time when I can rejoice in the Lord, thanking Him for all His wonderful gifts.

Now is the time. Now is the time to live and to love. Now is the time to be Christians according to the Heart of Christ, this Heart which Mary our mother deeply desires us to come to each day of our lives. Now is not yesterday; now is not tomorrow; now is today, and today is the day of salvation: Behold, now is a very acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Cor. 6:2).

From a Lenten Homily, March 24, 2000

Live in the Moment

Today’s Gospel in its story certainly points ahead to Jesus in His Passion and death. And as we read passages such as this during the Lenten season, we are reminded once again that the Church in her Liturgy of the Word gives us an opportunity to undergo a purification, an ever deepening cleansing of ourselves so that we may be a more fit instrument for receiving the great graces which are to be given to us at the time of the Resurrection memorial on Easter. And so all in all, Lent is a time of purification to prepare us for ever-greater gifts of the Lord. It’s a time of self-discipline, a time to renew our efforts to be self-disciplined in the service of the Lord. Self-discipline is an aspect of purification. And I suggest that one of the most difficult acts of self-discipline in the spiritual journey is to concentrate on the present moment. We have a very strong tendency to disregard the importance of the present moment by focusing in a wrong way on the past or in a wrong way on the future. There are proper occasions for thinking of the past and the future. For example, we have to learn from the past and we have to prepare for the future, but our great emphasis has to be upon the present. There is a Latin axiom which says, age quod agis, age quod agis, which means: do what you are doing, concentrate on the present. And of course we are familiar with that term in the history of spirituality: the sacrament of the present moment. And so the discipline of Lent certainly encourages us to include in a deeper self-discipline a greater determination to get as much as we can out of the present moment. People with a terminal illness have an opportunity as they prepare for death for increased prayer, contrition, love of God. However, some are taken very, very quickly. But for those who have the opportunity of knowing with some certainty the time of their death, I’m sure as they look back on their lives, they are saddened by the many times they did not use time and opportunities for the service of the Lord properly, and are overjoyed at those times in which they did use the present opportunity properly. A great means we have of living in the present properly is a greater focus upon our Lord. For if I have that awareness of the fact I am united with Jesus here and now, why should I be concerned so much about the future or the past? Yes, a great help in living in the present and deriving all the good we can from it for ourselves and others is an ever greater focus upon Jesus, because the more I focus upon Jesus and the more I live with Him in the present moment, the more I am satisfied with the present moment. And so let us in our Lenten activity resolve to grow in that self-discipline - which is very difficult at times - to really live in the presence with the fullness of our being as much as is possible, with the help of God’s grace. Now is the day of salvation. Now is the day of salvation.

Involvement With The World

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

For in him were created all things in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things were created through him and for him.

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

He is the head of the body, the church.

He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he himself might be preeminent.

For in him all the fullness was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile all things for him, making peace by the blood of his cross (through him), whether those on earth or those in heaven (1 Col. 1:15-20).

The Christian should have a deeper love for the world than the nonbeliever. All that is true and good and beautiful, all that we humans reach out for in authentic hope, all the worthwhile and enthusiastic dreams of the human heart for a better world, the Christian should be more concerned about all this than is the nonbeliever. Why? Because as the above Scripture passage tells us, the world belongs to Christ. The Christian knows that the human family's pursuit of the true, the good, and the beautiful is ultimately a pursuit of Christ. The Christian knows that any authentic step forward that the human race takes, marks a deepening of the Christic evolutionary process whereby the human family and this world are more closely united to the center and crown of the universe—Christ Himself.

Because the world belongs to Christ, the Christian should feel at home in his or her secular involvement. Obviously, there is a sinful dimension to the world. There are murders, rapes, and blatant sexual promiscuity, and selfish lust for power; there is serious neglect of duty, and a hedonistic pursuit of pleasure. The sinful element of the world, however, should not make us blind to its basic truth, goodness, and beauty.

Obviously, we should not love and embrace the world's sinful dimension. A holy sadness should touch us when we reflect upon the moral depravity that defiles the world's Christic image. We do not refuse involvement with the world, however, because of the world's sinfulness. We often must behave in a way that is different from the way much of the world thinks and acts, yet we must be different in a way that does not make us shirk our responsibility toward the world.

The world in which we contemporary Christians live is a world which is a mixture of that which is true and good and beautiful, and that which is ugly and dreadful and terrifying. We have the privilege and the responsibility of promoting the world's goodness and of lessening its evil influence. We have to aid in directing the human family to increasingly walk along the path that has been made by the footprints of Jesus. This is not always an easy task. There are so many forces in today's world that work against Christ, His message, and the order He came to establish. But are we going to shirk the challenge? Are we going to allow the further pursuit of the true, the good, and the beautiful to be increasingly blocked by the forces of evil?...

Let us pray unceasingly for this transformation of the world in Christ. Besides our prayer, let us also follow the lead of the Holy Spirit in all our other activities so that we may do our share to bring about the glorious new world order of which Mary speaks. We can do this in a spirit of peace and joy despite the various difficulties involved. When we are tempted to become discouraged in the process, let us always turn to Mary. She will comfort us and give us the courage to continue on. How eager she is that we all do our part in leading the world closer to Christ, this world which belongs to Christ, this world which will soon experience a glorious new reign of Jesus Who is King of the universe.

Lourdes—And My Own
Marian Experience

Since my first pilgrimage to Lourdes marked a very definitive stage in Mary's dealings with me—in her call to me—I am going to utilize this entry on Lourdes to share with you certain aspects of my Marian experience. In none of my previous books have I shared my spiritual experience in such a direct fashion. I am doing so now only because I believe it is Mary's wish that I do so. May my sharing of Mary's maternal love manifested to me be an occasion for your own reflection on Mary's goodness to you.

I have always been blessed with a strong devotion to Mary. I feel this gift is one of God's greatest graces given to me. I remember at an early age often repeating the Hail Mary. Later, I was very much attracted to Our Lady's requests at Fatima. I made the five first Saturdays and practiced what I was told were the other aspects of Mary's Fatima message.

After graduating from college I entered the Jesuits. Our first phase of training consists of two years of novitiate—a period in which one is introduced into the spiritual life according to the Jesuit tradition. This first period of Jesuit training marked a very significant growth in my devotion to Mary.

As I progressed in my Jesuit life over the years, Mary was always a loving, caring mother. I always felt, among other things, that she was a lifeline—always there in a special way at particularly difficult stages of the spiritual journey, not only then, but certainly then. I was not always as loyal a child of Mary as I should have been, but she always kept me aware of her very important role in our lives.

In early 1989 I was in Europe—destination Rome. As I was traveling toward Italy from Northern Europe, I made plans to stop at Lourdes. I considered this a very special stop on my itinerary.

As I left Toulouse on the train for Lourdes, it was raining. Not very far from Toulouse, the rain stopped and the sun appeared. I considered this a gift from Mary.

I walked from the Lourdes train station to the Shrine. It was a day in January, sunny and pleasant, but, as would be expected at that time of the year, there were less than 25 pilgrims at the grotto site. The atmosphere was very special. One realized this was a very holy place. I sat on one of the benches and began to pray. All of a sudden, I was deeply impressed with this thought: "I have finally come home." The thought seemed to come from outside of me, similar to an infused idea. I did not fully understand what this idea meant. I had not seriously strayed from God, so the idea of "coming home" did not mean I was returning as a prodigal son. Nor did the idea mean that I had finally found Mary, since, as I have stated above, I have always been blessed with a strong devotion to her. I was, then, somewhat puzzled at what the words "I have finally come home" meant. My experience, however, was a very profound one as I sat there before the grotto of Mary. I wept tears of peace and consolation. This was to be my first experience of the gift of tears at a Marian shrine. Later I would also experience this gift at Fatima, Guadalupe, and Medjugorje. The gift of tears on these occasions would always be in confirmation of a special interior enlightenment.

In the months that followed, whenever I recalled these words impressed upon me at Lourdes, I was still not sure of their meaning. I did, though, decide to write this book on Mary. I had long wanted to write such a book, but did not feel prepared to do so until now.

Mary revealed her will for me—which, of course, is God's will for me—in an extraordinary fashion. This special manifestation, and other recent events, have had a profound impact upon me and have very significantly deepened my spiritual life. This deepening continued in a very special way through my recent pilgrimages to Fatima, Lourdes, Guadalupe, and Medjugorje.

I was privileged to be at Fatima for the 75th anniversary of the October 13 apparition of Mary to the three young visionaries—Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco. I had a conviction that Mary wanted me there at that particular time. That I was able to be present for this momentous occasion was another special gift of Mary to me.

On October 12, the eve of the anniversary day, I was praying in the basilica at Fatima. I was close to the altar. In the sanctuary was a statue of Our Lady of Fatima. I prayed that Mary would draw me closer than ever to the Heart of Jesus and to her own Immaculate Heart. I also prayed that I would be able, as never before, to work for the spread of devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

As I prayed I would often glance at Mary's statue, and when I did, I was often given the gift of tears—I know it was a special gift because I myself had no control over when this would or would not take place. The same thing happened the next day. It was a most profound spiritual experience—even more so than the one at Lourdes.

On the 13th itself, there were about one million pilgrims present for the anniversary occasion. At communion time of the outdoor Mass I felt a special confirmation of the above-mentioned experience.

From Fatima I went to Lourdes. This time, unlike my first visit, I was present along with thousands of other pilgrims. It is indeed a special experience to be at Lourdes with so many others for the impressive candlelight rosary procession at night and for other activities. Being personally present amidst all this gives one a sense of why Lourdes has been such an attraction for millions and millions of pilgrims over the years. Again, my experience at the grotto of Our Lady was very special, as was the making of the Way of the Cross on the hill high above the basilicas and the grotto.

A few months after my visits to Fatima and Lourdes I was at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. It was another special gift to be able to be there for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12. What an inspiration it is to be there on this most special day—to see the Mexican people come from miles and miles away for this feast which is so dear to their hearts. Their devotion to Our Lady is most remarkable. Regarding myself, the entire pilgrimage prior to the feast day was rather subdued—peaceful, but no special experience. I remained in such a state on the feast itself up to and including most of the Mass at the Shrine. Then at communion time I was gifted with the same type of deep experience which had occurred at Lourdes and Fatima. I was rather suddenly struck with a deep conviction that I am protected by Mary's mantle and that I should not be afraid or worry. Again, this interior enlightenment was accompanied by the gift of tears.

My final pilgrimage was to Medjugorje—December 28, 1992, to January 4, 1993. Again, after prayer, I had developed the conviction that Mary wanted me there for her great feast of January 1st—which, of course, is the feast of Mary, Mother of God. I thought something special would happen on that day, although I did not know precisely what.

As was the case at Guadalupe, nothing out of the ordinary happened to me on the days previous to January 1. I did not see any phenomena concerning the sun which many pilgrims have observed over the years at Medjugorje. The chain on my rosary did not change to gold—as has occurred with many of the Medjugorje pilgrims. But Mary did have her gift for me. Just as I had hoped, something special did occur on the feast of January 1. At Mass, after receiving communion, I received a profound experience of Mary's motherhood toward me and also a profound conviction of Jesus' love for me. This conviction of Jesus' love for me may be the most special I have ever experienced. Again, these interior enlightenments were accompanied by the gift of tears.

Later that day I had the great privilege of being present in the choir loft for the daily apparition of Our Lady. Ivan was the only visionary present in Church this particular day. Although I felt extremely blessed to be present for the apparition—which, of course, only Ivan himself could see—I had no special inner experience at this time. Others in our group said they did have a special personal experience at the time of the apparition. My special experience of the day had indeed occurred earlier at Mass.

Since that first visit to Lourdes when I was suddenly struck with the thought, "I have finally come home," much has happened regarding my relationship with Mary. I now believe I know the meaning of those words impressed upon me at Lourdes in January, 1989. More than three years later Mary began to instruct me regarding the precise meaning of those words. She has, in her maternal love for me, entered my life as never before. She has led me to consecrate myself to the Heart of Christ and to her Immaculate Heart in a very meaningful manner. In an extraordinary fashion she has given me a mission to fulfill in the service of Jesus. As she cooperates with the Holy Spirit in my ongoing transformation in Christ, she is leading me along paths which I have never traveled before. I can never thank her adequately for her goodness to me.

The above constitutes some of the main aspects of my personal Marian pilgrimage over the years. You also have your own Marian experience, and I am sure you have shed your own tears of joy and peace along the way.

If you have not yet done so, I strongly encourage you to consecrate yourself to the Heart of Jesus and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In consecrating yourself to Mary—in entrusting yourself entirely to her—you will be enabling her to lead you ever closer to the Heart of Christ. She will accomplish marvels in you as she aids you, in cooperation with the Holy Spirit, in living out your consecration to the Sacred Heart. Indeed, she will ever be Mother at your side as you come closer to the Father through Christ and in the Holy Spirit.

I have never been happier, never more at peace, than I presently am. Since Mary has drawn me to consecrate myself to her Immaculate Heart, marvelous changes have taken place within me. She has brought me to the Heart of Jesus in a way I had not experienced before.

If you have given yourself totally to Mary—and this is what consecration to her Immaculate Heart means—you have had similar experiences.

Having consecrated ourselves to Mary, we feel secure as we rest in her loving, maternal Heart. There she comforts us when we are sad—there she wipes away our tears. There she rejoices with us when we rejoice. There she smiles as we share with her our accomplishments for Christ. There she encourages us when we are fearful. There she strengthens us for the most difficult tasks.

What a great gift Jesus has bestowed upon us in giving Mary to us as our mother! Let us thank Him each day for this Mother who loves us with an unfathomable love. We must try to grow in the appreciation of this love. The more we do so, the more we want to cry out, "O Mother, how loving, caring, and tender you are! Draw us ever closer to your Immaculate Heart where you accomplish your marvels within us."

Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

"Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!

"Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock."

In my thoughts and reflections are born a more tangible understanding of these eternal concepts presented in the Gospels and the readings. Anyone can read a sentence, but not anyone can absorb it's true meaning. Truth, in this day and age, is almost a matter of opinion or individual entitlement. We believe that Christ's truth is our Roman Catholic Church. We, as priests, champion it's teachings; we are ambassadors for the Pope and Christ to those faces looking at us. We are the light by which our congregation reads to reflect upon real truth and we do it hand in hand. $15

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 15.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #1 - CD. - Christ is Our Strength - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our-selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #2 - CD. - Suffering: A Source of Life - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. Fr. Carter knew suffering that year. His voice is so powerful as he read each Newsletter from his heart and soul. "Every man has his own share in the redemption. Each one is also called to share in that suffering through which the redemption was accomplished. He is called to share in that suffering through which all human suffering has also been redeemed. In bringing about the redemption through suffering, Christ has also raised human suffering to the level of the redemption. Thus each man in his suffering can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ–." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
