I Am Your Arms, You Are My Soldiers (excerpt)
Jesus: Don't look back. Don't ask Me any questions. I am directing you in your hearts. Stay steadfast and attached to My promptings. A mike you carry in your heart and I am filling you in on the other side. To hear Me, you must stay very close to Me. You never go away from Me or you will miss My strategy and you could have a mishap. You stay very close and listen with wide open ears. You are very attentive to My voice and you trust Me to know. I won't leave you ever. Even if the voice gets faint, you know that if you wait My directions will become clearer, so you wait on Me always. Trust. Faith. Love. We are bound together by these. You do not falter or run amok because you trust totally in Me. You don't think, "Oh, maybe I better help Him" and do a little of your own directing. You are like a baby on its back waiting to be picked up. That dependency I require of you. Trust totally in the Master and have faith that He will be there. You never see Me by your side. You just know I am here and never leave you. And it is My love that goes with you. The power of it all, the warmth in the soul, the light to the bowed down. My love and all its power! Rays of light and power go from My heart to you. You are never alone. I go with you always on your way!
I am the Master and you are My little ones. I bind you by My love. You trust and have faith in Me. Oh, babies, do not worry anymore. Give up this worry. Surrender to Me Who loves you and let Me lead your way. You will never run amok. Your ways will be directed and your light is My light. I light your path and you proceed on your way, directed by Me and on your way.

Sin and unhappiness
"The damage done by a sinful act will also affect the seriousness of a sin. To say falsely that a man has money in the bank will be less evil than to say falsely that he is a thief. The first lie may make people think he is stingy. But the second will cause him to lose his job.
The gravity of a sin will be measured too by the dignity or excellence of either the person offended or the person sinning. It is worse to sin directly against God than it is to sin against a human being. Likewise it is more serious for a king or president to steal from the public treasury than it is for a private citizen to steal from his neighbor.
A sinful act is a human act. As a human act it is a voluntary act. Sin comes then chiefly from the will of man. But it can be found also in human reason and the sense appetite in so far as these human powers are inclined to be moved by the will to actions in the pursuit of good or evil.
Sin therefore is a disease of man as man. This is a frightening thing about sin. It is like a cancerous growth in the human personality precisely where it is most human. It eats away gradually a man's control over his own human actions in the pursuit of happiness. A cancerous growth in the body may begin in a less important part of the body. But it will grow until it prevents the working of a vital organ such as the lungs, or brain or digestive system and so lead to the death of the body. Sin is a cancerous growth in the soul of a man. If allowed to grow it will ultimately prevent man from attaining happiness. And the failure to attain happiness is the death of man as man."
R. The Word is like a two-edged sword
that penetrates heart and soul.
It becomes a man to grow more
and more in the spiritual life.
The more he chooses to love and
to give of himself, like Jesus,
the more he is loving – It comes
from him to be that way.
The more a man chooses to
deceive others, to be envious
of others and when he sees
another being Christ-like,
performing virtuous acts, an
evil man can grow in such
bad habits of evil – the evil man
judges falsely that the good man is
tarnishing him in someway – so he works
in envy, in evil as a habit
to bring the good man down
and discredit him.
St. Thomas in the last paragraph
shows how damaging sin can
be to the individual sinning.
The Word of God is given to us
to follow - to allow it to
penetrate our heart and soul.
Jesus in this Blue Book I message
tells us to trust Him – to be
united to Him.
When we read the scriptures
and ask God to allow this
Word to penetrate our heart
and soul we know more
and more about God and
His way and He wants us
to be more and more in the image
of God, for we were created by
God the Father in the image
and likeness of Jesus and the
Holy Spirit works to mold us
more and more in the image
and likeness of Jesus if we
give ourselves to Him.
We have a free will –

Jesus: "My beloved friend, tell My people to pray daily to the Holy Spirit. They are to pray for an increase in His gifts. My people must realize that the Holy Spirit comes to transform them. The Spirit desires to transform you more and more according to My image. Those who are docile to His touch become increasingly shaped in My likeness. He performs this marvel within Mary's Immaculate Heart. The more one dwells in My Mother's Heart, the more active are the workings of the Spirit. The Spirit leads Mary to place you within My own Heart. In both Our Hearts, then, your transformation continues. The more you are formed after My own Heart, the more I lead you to the bosom of My Father. Tell My people all this. Tell them to pray daily for a greater appreciation of these wondrous gifts. I am Lord and Master. All who come to My Heart will be on fire to receive the gifts of the Spirit in ever greater measure! I love and bless My people!"
Reflection: The Holy Spirit is given to us to fashion us ever more according to the likeness of Jesus. And the more we are like Jesus, the more Jesus leads us to the Father. Do we, each day, pray to the Holy Spirit to be more open to His transforming influence? Do we strive each day to grow in union with Mary? The greater our union with our Mother, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, the greater is the transforming action of the Holy Spirit within us. end of excerpt
R. A person who keeps giving into
the deadly sins develops habits
of jealousy, envy, pride,
slothfulness, where they hold out
what they need to do for their
spiritual growth.
They act undisciplined or
tell themselves they can do what
they want to others. Being prideful
and jealous and envious of
our brothers can make us
very "numb", "deadened in our heart"
A person with a heart like
Christ has a meek and soft
heart. Is sensitive to the
needs of others. Sees more
and more through the eyes of
God the Father who is love.
A person living in God is a
person of hope and faith.
They believe as this Blue Book
message is instructing us –
they have faith in God.
We were created to have a soft
and gentle heart. This is God's
plan for us.

R. When I love Jesus, I give myself
to Him.

When I worry, I have taken my focus off of You and placed it on myself. Help me not to give in to the promptings of others to change what in my heart You are making very clear to me. I worship You, I adore You and I love You. Come and dwell in me now.

R. God calls us to love and relationship.
Relationship is on going – it builds.
A person wanting union with others
and God is open.
They keep moving deeper and deeper
into union, trust, love,
giving and taking.
Satan wants to control an
individual and enslave them.
A person can be like a roller
coaster and turn off good
feelings with God and others
by hurting others, being jealous,
wishing to do evil or bring
down darkness or hatred
against another.
It's like a roller coaster –
The person being more and more
in the image of Jesus is open,
giving, receiving, working in
love and trust – building
relationship takes giving of
oneself in this loving,
trustworthy way – living in
the truth.
A person wanting to shut down and
be in control, can harden their
heart. If something good happens
with others – next they can
do something mean to destroy trust
and love with the others. That way
they never move ahead in any
relationship – they destroy any
trust as soon as they engage
in any good interaction by
acting in darkness, unpredictable,
in consistently and bringing down
harm on the other –
God wants us to give and to love
and to grow in trust and love
with Him and others – to have
union in the light of God –
to work trustingly with others
according to God's will.
God calls us to pray in union
with Him and others in our
hearts. We need to give of ourselves
trustingly to do this. We establish
the spirit of letting go – like the
Blue Book message says and
trusting God, believing in God,
waiting on God.
When satan enslaves a person
they give in more and more to
deception, lies, they close
down, they can surprise others
that have given love to them by
tricks and games.
A person loving God is giving
in relationships God is helping
them develop to build His Kingdom.
These relationships are developed
in moving forward with the
goal of being as God wants –
serving God, building the Kingdom of God,
loving our neighbor as ourselves.
Like St. Paul says
...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.
R. Love is not love until we
give it away.
Jesus came and took flesh
to teach us about love –
Jesus gave Himself on the cross –
Jesus gives and keeps on giving –
The Mass is the sacrifice of
Calvary – sacramentally
made present –
Jesus gives to us today!
We can unite to the Mass.
We can go to the Mass.
We can live united to the Mass
all day in all our actions –
But we can't be enslaved to
the bad, dark habits of
trusting – no one – even Jesus –
of giving to no one – coming back
with love given to us like a
wounded dog in the street
biting the person trying to help
them in their pain.
Love takes giving of oneself –
Jesus showed us how to love –
Jesus gives us our lives today
to be more and more like Him –
We can offer our lives to God
united to the Mass –
the Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary
sacramentally made present.
Mary stood by the cross of Christ
and Mary stands by the altar
at Mass
interceding for that saving
grace God wants to outpour
when we unite to Jesus and
pray to the Father in the Holy Spirit
with all the angels and saints and
souls in purgatory –
We pray for the saving grace to
be outpoured.
As members of the mystical
body of Christ – we unite with
Christ our head and pray
for the saving grace to be
outpoured on the world.
We are united to one another
in the mystical body of Christ –
praying with Christ our head –
every day – all day – in all
our actions –
Here is a Morning Offering I wrote
June 8, 1995 with the
Imprimatur – 21 years ago.
Morning Offering
My dear Father, I offer You this day all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings, my every breath, my every heartbeat, my every thought, all my actions, in union with Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in the Holy Spirit. I pray the Holy Spirit is with me every second today, enlightening me to do the Will of the Father and filling me with the fire of God's love.
I ask Jesus and Mary to be one in me in all that I do and I unite with all the angels and saints and souls in purgatory to pray continually to the Father for these intercessions, in this prayer, for this day.
For myself, I pray for grace-abundant grace, to know and love God more and more and to follow the Will of the Father. I pray to the Holy Spirit to transform me in the heart of Mary to be more and more like Jesus. I pray that I can forever dwell in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. I pray for conversion of all those I hold dear who need conversion. I pray for each member of my family that they will be filled with Your abundant grace to grow in their knowledge and love of God.
I pray for all my friends that they will receive abundant grace to carry out the great plan of the Father, that they will grow forever closer to Jesus' Heart through Mary's heart, that we will all be led by the Holy Spirit to do His work, that we will, together, carry out the plan of the Father as He intends us to, to spread the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary's heart to this world.
Jesus, I pray for myself so the Holy Spirit descends upon me and opens my heart to Your love so I will grow more and more deeply in union with You. I pray that I do not worry what other people think but try always to please the Father and do His Will. I pray that I may help lead many to Your burning love.
I pray for the following people in particular that they will be filled with the Spirit and grow deeply in their union with You, that they will receive abundant graces to know, love and serve You more. (Include special friends by name...)
I pray for priests the world over, for the success of the Priestly Newsletter, the Chapters and for the finances needed for the Newsletter. I pray for the circulation of the Blue Book messages, rosary meditations and tapes. I pray for all those involved in the publication of these messages.
I pray that You will shower Your abundant graces onto the priests reading the Newsletter the people reading and hearing the Blue Book messages and rosary meditations and all of Fr. Carter's publications.
We pray for the intentions we hold deep within our hearts, for our families and friends, for those requesting our prayers. We pray for children the world over and for the souls in purgatory. We ask God to shower His abundant grace on us and the members of our Shepherds of Christ Chapter so that we may grow more and more in our knowledge and love of God.
We consecrate ourselves to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We pray for Father Carter, for Father Smith, for Rita Ring, and for John Weickert, for all leaders and helpers in the Shepherds of Christ Movement, for Shepherds of Christ Ministries, and Our Lady of Light Ministry. We pray for all those who are working in these ministries.
We bind ourselves and our children and our friends to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We place the precious blood of Jesus on ourselves, and all we touch, so that we will be protected from the evil one. We pray to St. Michael to cast the devil into hell.
We love You, God, we love You, we love You. We beg that we may receive the grace to love You more and more deeply. We adore You, we praise You, our beloved Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

don't trust – be in control –

God created us and He wants us

Sure the devil wants us to

Morning Offering
My dear Father, I offer you this day all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings in union with Jesus in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in the Holy Spirit.
I unite with our Mother, Mary, all the angels and saints, and all the souls in purgatory to pray to the Father for myself, for each member of my family, for my friends, for all people throughout the world, for all the souls in purgatory, and for all other intentions of the Sacred Heart.
I love You, Jesus, and I give You my heart. I love you, Mary, and I give you my heart. Amen.
A Prayer before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
Let me be a holy sacrifice and unite with God in the sacrament of His greatest love.
I want to be one in Him in this act of love, where He gives Himself to me and I give myself as a sacrifice to Him. Let me be a holy sacrifice as I become one with Him in this my act of greatest love to Him.
Let me unite with Him more, that I may more deeply love Him. May I help make reparation to His adorable Heart and the heart of His Mother, Mary. With greatest love, I offer myself to You and pray that You will accept my sacrifice of greatest love. I give myself to You and unite in Your gift of Yourself to me. Come and possess my soul.
Cleanse me, strengthen me, heal me. Dear Holy Spirit act in the heart of Mary to make me more and more like Jesus.
Father, I offer this my sacrifice, myself united to Jesus in the Holy Spirit to You. Help me to love God more deeply in this act of my greatest love.
Give me the grace to grow in my knowledge, love and service of You and for this to be my greatest participation in the Mass. Give me the greatest graces to love You so deeply in this Mass, You who are so worthy of my love.

Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus
My dear fellow Associate Members,
Jesus is calling special apostles to join a new division of the Shepherds of Christ Movement. Here is a message from Jesus given to Father Carter:
My beloved priest-companion, I am requesting that a new prayer movement be started under the direction of Shepherds of Christ Ministries. I am asking for volunteers who are willing to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for one hour, twice-weekly. Members of the Shepherds of Christ prayer chapters, as well as others, are to be invited to join this movement.
These apostles are to pray for the intentions I am giving you. For part of the hour they are to use the prayers of the Shepherds of Christ Associates Handbook. They may spend the rest of the hour as they so choose.
I will use this new prayer movement within My Shepherds of Christ Ministries in a powerful way to help in the renewal of My Church and the world. I will give great graces to those who join this movement. The name, Apostles of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, is to be given to this movement.
I am inviting My beloved Rita Ring to be coordinator for this activity.
I pour out the great love of My Sacred Heart to all. I am Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock.
This is indeed a special calling for us to unite in one heart with His Eucharistic Heart and pray for the following intentions:
1. For the spread of the devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary culminating in the reign of the Sacred Heart and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.
2. For the Pope.
3. For all bishops of the world.
4. For all priests.
5. For all sisters and brothers in the religious life.
6. For all members of the Shepherds of Christ Movement, and for the spread of this movement to the world.
