                R. We continue to hear from the letter
                    to the Colossians —

Paul moves into a new theme —
                    we should be concerned with
                        life hereafter
                    we get practical ideas how
                        to live —

                Today's Readings

Colossians 3: 1-11

Since you have been raised up to be with Christ, you must look for the things that are above, where Christ is, sitting at God’s right hand. Let your thoughts be on things above, not on the things that are on the earth, because you have died, and now the life you have is hidden with Christ in God. But when Christ is revealed—and he is your life—you, too, will be revealed with him in glory.

That is why you must kill everything in you that is earthly: sexual vice, impurity, uncontrolled passion, evil desires and especially greed, which is the same thing as worshipping a false god; it is precisely these things which draw God's retribution upon those who resist. And these things made up your way of life when you were living among such people, but now you also must give up all these things: human anger, hot temper, malice, abusive language and dirty talk; and do not lie to each other. You have stripped off your old behaviour with your old self, and you have put on a new self which will progress towards true knowledge the more it is renewed in the image of its Creator; and in that image there is no room for distinction between Greek and Jew, between the circumcised and uncircumcised, or between barbarian and Scythian, slave and free. There is only Christ: he is everything and he is in everything.

Psalm 145: 2-3, 10-11, 12-13

Bet
Day after day I shall bless you,
I shall praise your name for ever and ever.

Gimel
Great is Yahweh and worthy of all praise,
his greatness beyond all reckoning.

Yod
All your creatures shall thank you, Yahweh,
and your faithful shall bless you.

Kaph
They shall speak of the glory of your kingship
and tell of your might,

Lamed
making known your mighty deeds to the children of Adam,
the glory and majesty of your kingship.

Mem
Your kingship is a kingship for ever,
your reign lasts from age to age.

      Luke 6: 20-26

Then fixing his eyes on his disciples he said:

How blessed are you who are poor:
the kingdom of God is yours.
Blessed are you who are hungry now:
        you shall have your fill.
Blessed are you who are weeping now:
        you shall laugh.

‘Blessed are you when people hate you, drive you out, abuse you, denounce your name as criminal, on account of the Son of man. Rejoice when that day comes and dance for joy, look!—your reward will be great in heaven. This was the way their ancestors treated the prophets.

But alas for you who are rich:
you are having your consolation now.
Alas for you who have plenty to eat now:
        you shall go hungry.
Alas for you who are laughing now:
        you shall mourn and weep.

‘Alas for you when everyone speaks well of you! This was the way their ancestors treated the false prophets.

                R. Both readings give us the same
                    theme —

Our life, in this life, is not
what is of major importance —
but the life to come —

                    The beatitudes tell us this
St. Paul says you have put
                        on a new self —

                When the Kingdom comes the
                    poor will be helped
                    Matthew's version and
                    Luke's version are a little
                        different —

But the message is we can't
                    make this world our
                    main occupation —
It is the world to come that is important —

We pray for peace and holiness —

We pray lovingly that we may
                    always choose the fidelity
to God over the things of
                    this world —

That we may live in holiness,
                    humility and love as the
                    beatitudes speak of —

Sing: Oh Bread of Life, Oh Lord Divine

Prayer for Priests

Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the Flock, we pray that in the great love and mercy of Your Sacred Heart You attend to all the needs of Your priest-shepherds throughout the world. We ask that You draw back to Your Heart all those priests who have seriously strayed from Your path, that You rekindle the desire for holiness in the hearts of those priests who have become lukewarm, and that You continue to give Your fervent priests the desire for the highest holiness. United with Your Heart and Mary's Heart, we ask that You take this petition to Your heavenly Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen

11. Prayer for all members of the Shepherds of Christ Associates. "Dear Jesus, we ask Your special blessings on all members of Shepherds of Christ Associates. Continue to enlighten them regarding the very special privilege and responsibility you have given them as members of Your movement, Shepherds of Christ Associates. Draw them ever closer to Your Heart and to Your Mother's Heart. Allow them to more and more realize the great and special love of Your Hearts for each of them as unique individuals. Give them the grace to respond to Your love and Mary's love with an increased love of their own. As they dwell in Your Heart and Mary's Heart, abundantly care for all their needs and those of their loved ones. We make our prayer through You to the Father, in the Holy Spirit, with Mary our Mother at our side. Amen"

12. Prayer for the spiritual and financial success of the priestly newsletter. "Father, we ask Your special blessings upon the priestly newsletter, Shepherds of Christ. We ask that You open the priest-readers to the graces You wish to give them through this chosen instrument of Your Son. We also ask that You provide for the financial needs of the newsletter and the Shepherds of Christ Associates. We make our prayer through Jesus, in the Holy Spirit, with Mary at our side. Amen"

13. Prayer for all members of the human family. "Heavenly Father, we ask Your blessings on all Your children the world over. Attend to all their needs. We ask Your special assistance for all those marginalized people, all those who are so neglected and forgotten. United with our Mother Mary, we make this petition to You through Jesus and in the Holy Spirit."

14. Prayer to St. Michael and our Guardian Angels:

"St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen."

"Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen."

15. Pause for silent, personal prayer. This should last at least five minutes.

16. Act of consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

"Lord Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock, I consecrate myself to Your most Sacred Heart. From Your pierced Heart the Church was born, the Church You have called me, as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, to serve in a most special way. You reveal Your Heart as a symbol of Your love in all its aspects, including Your most special love for me, whom You have chosen as Your companion in this most important work. Help me to always love You in return. Help me to give myself entirely to You. Help me always to pour out my life in love of God and neighbor! Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in You!

"Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, I consecrate myself to your maternal and Immaculate Heart, this Heart which is symbol of your life of love. You are the Mother of my Savior. You are also my Mother. You love me with a most special love as a member of Shepherds of Christ Associates, a movement created by your Son as a powerful instrument for the renewal of the Church and the world. In a return of love, I give myself entirely to your motherly love and protection. You followed Jesus perfectly. You are His first and perfect disciple. Teach me to imitate you in the putting on of Christ. Be my motherly intercessor so that, through your Immaculate Heart, I may be guided to an ever closer union with the pierced Heart of Jesus, Chief Shepherd of the flock."

                R. Oh God You are good and forgiving help
                    us —

Oh God that we love ever more
our vocation and live to serve
                    You according to Your will

Prayer of Pope John Paul II for Vocations

Lord Jesus, as You once called the first disciples to make them fishers of men, let your sweet invitation continue to resound: "Come, follow Me!"

Give young men and women the grace of responding quickly to Your voice. Support your bishops, priests and consecrated people in their apostolic labor.

Grant perseverance to our seminarians and to all those who are carrying out the ideal of a life totally consecrated to Your service.

Awaken in our community a missionary eagerness. Lord, send workers to your harvest and do not allow humanity to be lost for the lack of pastors, missionaries and people dedicated to the cause of the Gospel.

O Mary, Mother of the Church, the model of every vocation, help us to say “yes” to the Lord Who calls us to cooperate in the divine plan of salvation. Amen.

                R. Oh God have mercy on us —
Oh God fill us with love and truth —

Oh God I am sorry for my sins,
                    forgive me God —
for I am deeply sorrowful for
                        my offenses against you —

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

                R. Oh God hear my prayer —

Sing: Oh God hear my prayer

Isaiah 33: 13-16

You who are far away,
listen to what I have done,
and you who are near, realise my strength.'
The sinners in Zion are panic-stricken
and fear seizes on the godless,
'Which of us can survive
    the devouring fire,
which of us survive everlasting burning?'
The one who acts uprightly
    and speaks honestly,
who scorns to get rich by extortion,
who rejects bribes out of hand,
who refuses to listen to plans
    involving bloodshed
and shuts his eyes
    rather than countenance crime:
such a man will live on the heights,
the craggy rocks will be his refuge,
he will be fed, he will not want for water.

Tobit 4: 15-16, 18-19

Do to no one what you would not want done to you. Do not drink wine to the point of drunkenness; do not let excess be your travelling companion.

‘Give your bread to those who are hungry, and your clothes to those who lack clothing. Of whatever you own in plenty, devote a proportion to almsgiving; and when you give alms, do it ungrudgingly.

‘Ask advice of every wise person; never scorn any profitable advice. Bless the Lord God in everything; beg him to guide your ways and bring your paths and purposes to their end. For wisdom is not the property of every nation; their desire for what is good is conferred by the Lord. At his will he lifts up or he casts down to the depths of the dwelling of the dead. So now, my child, remember these precepts and never let them fade from your heart.

                R. Oh God help me to do Your Divine Will

                We worship You God —
                We love You God —

We want to give You, ourselves —
Oh God have mercy on us —

Hear the voice of our supplication!

The Divine Praises

Be One in Me

Galatians 2: 19-20

...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

I woke and Jesus said "Rita you are fighting
this oneness with Me, you must let go."

                    Be one in Me.

Do everything in union with God.

                    R. Oneness, I go into His Heart and I am lost there,
He powers me, I am just operating
                        in Him.

                    I surrender myself to Him,
I am one in every breath.

Jesus: I give you abundant graces to do
this work for Me, you must
surrender and become one in Me.
As you operate, I operate in you.
                        Let go of fear —

Your fatigue is coming from your battling
this oneness. Give the letters I told
you to give. You must be obedient
and promptly. I will operate in you.
You must surrender totally to Me —

Every action you perform, feel a release
of anxiety when you let go.

Galatians 2: 19-20

...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

                R. Through Him, With Him and In Him

I become so joined with Him in the
                Eucharist.

Jesus: Let this be your constant
state, as you operate, I am
                joined one with you.

Surrender and let go and feel a lifting of
the burden and a renewed spirit take over.

My beautiful one, surrender and live in Me.

Galatians 2: 19-20

...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

                Give Me yourself
every breath you take - Surrender!

Jesus' Body Beaten for Me

R. Fr. Carter's Mass

I heard him break the host at Mass and cried because
Christ's body was broken for Me.

I realized how His beautiful body was
    battered for my sins.

How they whipped His body

"This is My Body given up for you"

Annunciation

See the tender beautiful body of the Child Jesus.
See so perfect as a little baby body is and
see His body battered, bruised and beaten for our sins.

Jesus died to give us new life.

March 14, 1995 - Tuesday, Fr. Carter's Mass

Nothing is Impossible with God

R. Jesus' most Sacred Heart was formed in Mary's womb.

Know that Elizabeth in her 6th month had conceived
of a son For Nothing is Impossible with God.

Surrender Compliance to God's Will

Mary said, ‘You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.’ ...   Luke 1: 38

He said yes in the first station.

Mary said yes.

I surrender to become more one in Him — let go
of selfishness to become united to God.

Song: Little Child

R. We live daily in this oneness as in communion —
    Communion — one in Him.

We are one Body — Such Oneness —
I become one in Him, He becomes
    one in me.

I put on Christ in all my actions. He is our
    bridegroom.

I become one in Him, He is in me —

One in Him — One in Him

Marriage — spiritual union —

Shepherds of Christ Meeting

Mary: I am Forever by Your Side

Mary: My dear little children:

I am Mary, your beloved Mother. I come to you this day and I ask you to draw your hearts ever closer to my beloved Son. He is with you at every moment, longing to be joined ever so closely to your hearts. He loves you with the dearest love.

I call out to you to open up your hearts, to not be influenced by this world and its sin and its hate for each other, but to turn your hearts so gently to my Son Who loves you with the tenderest Heart. I am your Mother and I am forever by your side and walk with you. I watch you. I guard you. I want to lead you ever closer to the Heart of my beloved Son.

Do not ever worry for we are so close to you with our Hearts filled with such love. Times are so tough now. You must come to us so We can fill your hearts with Our love. You will do so much work in this world for Us, but you must come to the Heart of my Son and let Him fill you. Every moment of your day be so fixed to Him. He is your beloved Savior, forever with you.

My precious little children, how I love each one of you so tenderly. I hold you so close to my Immaculate Heart. I call out to you: do not be influenced by this world that has turned to such sin. Pray the rosary every day. It is your weapon against the evil one. Turn your hearts to my Son, waiting for you.

I love you, my beloved ones. I am Mary, your Mother. Thank you for responding to this call.

Joyful Rosary from My Notebook

Annunciation

1. R. The angel appeared to Mary, Mary said 'yes'.

2. R. Jesus did the will of His Father. We should say yes, complete surrender to be one in Him.

3. Luke 1: 35, 38

The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God.

Mary said, ‘You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.’ ...

4. Luke 1: 36-37

And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for nothing is impossible to God.’

5. R. Such intimacy — The Heart of Jesus was formed in Mary's womb.

6. John 3:16

For this is how God loved the world:
he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
    may not perish
but may have eternal life.

    R. Jesus was conceived in the womb of Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit.

7. R. Mary is the spotless virgin.

8. Romans 5: 12-14

Well then; it was through one man that sin came into the world, and through sin death, and thus death has spread through the whole human race because everyone has sinned. Sin already existed in the world before there was any law, even though sin is not reckoned when there is no law. Nonetheless death reigned over all from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sin was not the breaking of a commandment, as Adam's was. He prefigured the One who was to come . . .

        9. From Response in Christ By Fr. Edward J. Carter, S.J., p. 70

   3) Immolation of the Victim

The central importance of Christ's sacrificial blood is evident. It is the blood of the new paschal lamb. It is the blood of the new covenant, the blood which redeems man. The shedding of this blood occurred during the immolation of Christ's passion-death. Schillebeeckx points out the significance of this immolation in blood: "The Blood of Christ is a theme that is truly central in the primitive Church, as Scripture shows it to us. This death sanctifies mankind, reconciles, establishes peace, redeems, constitutes the Church, and therefore unites man in communion with God and his fellow men. We are redeemed in sanguine, through the blood of Christ – this we find on almost every page of Scripture. It is impossible therefore to spiritualize Christ's sacrifice, to make it merely an internal act of love. There was indeed the act of love, but it was embodied in the sacrifice of blood."14

At this point we also note the profound unity of Christ's sacrifice. We observe that priest and victim are one and the same. At the Last Supper, Christ is chiefly priest; on Calvary, He is chiefly victim. Yet He is always priest and victim. Christ does not perform the immolation. He rather endures it. However, this is sufficient since it is not necessary for the priest of the sacrifice to achieve the immolation himself.

10. 2 Corinthians 5: 20-21

So we are ambassadors for Christ; it is as though God were urging you through us, and in the name of Christ we appeal to you to be reconciled to God. For our sake he made the sinless one a victim for sin, so that in him we might become the uprightness of God.

Visitation

1. Luke 1: 39-45

Mary set out at that time and went as quickly as she could into the hill country to a town in Judah. She went into Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth. Now it happened that as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leapt in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. She gave a loud cry and said, ‘Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord? Look, the moment your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb leapt for joy. Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord would be fulfilled.’ Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord would be fulfilled.’

2. R. Mary made haste -
means Mary had zeal to do God's will.

3. R. We are brothers in Christ —
Jesus took flesh for our sakes —
Jesus came and dwelt amongst us —

4. R. Jesus took on flesh —
Jesus had blood in His veins —

5. R. Mary went to visit Elizabeth.

6. R. Mary filled with the Holy Spirit proclaimed the Magnificat.

7. R. John the Baptist leapt in the womb of his mother, Elizabeth,
at the sight of Mary and Jesus in her womb.

8. R. Jesus was hidden in Mary's womb.
John the Baptist leapt for joy.

9. R. We should leap for joy to know Jesus
is truly present in the tabernacle.

10. R. Jesus stands at the door of our hearts and
Jesus knocks — we have a free will
to receive Him and love Him ardently —
    God is with us.
We should leap for joy as John did —
A visit from Jesus, the bridegroom
    of our soul!!
    Jesus is met with indifference
        by many and ingratitude and
coldness by many He loves so much.
Let us open our hearts and love Jesus
    with on fire love —
Jesus, our Divine Bridegroom —
    the bridegroom of our soul.

The Birth of Jesus

1. Luke 2: 1-7

Now it happened that at this time Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be made of the whole inhabited world. This census—the first—took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria, and everyone went to be registered, each to his own town. So Joseph set out from the town of Nazareth in Galilee for Judaea, to David’s town called Bethlehem, since he was of David’s House and line, in order to be registered together with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. Now it happened that, while they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to a son, her first–born. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the living–space.

2. R. God, make our souls delicately sensitive, to the
        touch of Your grace.

3. R. Oh Jesus, outpour Your grace to us.

4. R. This day is born to us A Savior!!

5. R. The angels sing —

Luke 2: 14

Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace for those he favors.

6. R. God is with us —

Sing: A Song from Jesus

7. R. Jesus comes as a helpless infant —
little weak cries, sweet smiles —
Approach Jesus with confidence in the
        blessed Sacrament —
    Know how He loves us.

8. R. Jesus comes in love —
        Jesus comes in poverty.
Jesus is the Savior of the world —
        Jesus is an infant.

9. R. Jesus is approachable — a baby —
        tender, sweet, docile —
        Jesus comes in poverty —
we can be full of pride —
        We can be rebellious —
Jesus obeyed His Father's will —
        Mary obeyed the Father's will.
        Simplicity — Hidden.

10. R. Jesus comes to us now truly present
        in His Divinity and humanity.
His presence in the consecrated host —
Jesus loves the Human Family —
Look at the Splendor of this night —
Jesus comes clothed in flesh —
Jesus is the Master of all goods.
Jesus comes in poverty for love of me.
I am lured by earthly goods —
Jesus shows us spiritual goods is
        what matters —

His sufferings were from the beginning —
His birth in a stable —
We see Jesus' love for us in coming
    to this earth.
Will I not return love to Jesus —
Jesus took flesh and blood —
Jesus gave His all for us —

Presentation in the Temple

1. Luke 2: 25-34

Now in Jerusalem there was a man named Simeon. He was an upright and devout man; he looked forward to the restoration of Israel and the Holy Spirit rested on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death until he had set eyes on the Christ of the Lord. Prompted by the Spirit he came to the Temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the Law required, he took him into his arms and blessed God; and he said:

    Now, Master, you are letting
        your servant go in peace
    as you promised;
for my eyes have seen the salvation
    which you have made ready
        in the sight of the nations;
a light of revelation for the gentiles
and glory for your people Israel.

As the child’s father and mother were wondering at the things that were being said about him, Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, ‘Look, he is destined for the fall and for the rise of many in Israel, destined to be a sign that is opposed—

2. Sing: Little Baby Hands and Feet

3. R. Mary's heart was pierced with a sword.

Sing: See the Eyes that Look at Mary

4. The Seven Sorrows

The first sorrow: the prophecy of Simeon

5. The second sorrow: the flight into Egypt

6. The third sorrow: the loss of the Child Jesus in the temple

7. The fourth sorrow: Jesus and Mary meet on the way to the cross

8. The fifth sorrow: Jesus dies on the cross

9. The sixth sorrow: Jesus is taken down from the cross and laid in Mary's arms

10. The seventh sorrow: the burial of Jesus

Finding in the Temple

1. Luke 2: 41-52

Every year his parents used to go to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. When he was twelve years old, they went up for the feast as usual. When the days of the feast were over and they set off home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without his parents knowing it. They assumed he was somewhere in the party, and it was only after a day’s journey that they went to look for him among their relations and acquaintances. When they failed to find him they went back to Jerusalem looking for him everywhere.

It happened that, three days later, they found him in the Temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions; and all those who heard him were astounded at his intelligence and his replies. They were overcome when they saw him, and his mother said to him, ‘My child, why have you done this to us? See how worried your father and I have been, looking for you.’ He replied, ‘Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?’ But they did not understand what he meant. He went down with them then and came to Nazareth and lived under their authority. His mother stored up all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom, in stature, and in favour with God and with people.

2. R. Jesus calls us, how do we respond —
Jesus called us His chosen ones to go
out to the world. Let us let go
and let Him operate in us —
His Might working in us —
God has a Plan for us.
We do not reach for what God wants
            of us —
God has elevated our knowing and
            loving capacity in baptism —
We must let go and let God run
            our lives —
We operate with His might when we
            give ourselves to Him —
Loving Surrender — Let go, now —

Sing: Little Child

3. R. We must let go and live as God wants
us to — That means we surrender
to the unknown — It is His Plan
for us - now, let go!!

Think of a vacuum — I once had a vacuum
I had to push hard — Then I got a power
vacuum — It is like God running us —
We let go to His power and do His work —
not carry around a ball and chain.

4. R. We walk up the hill, many times, with
    drudgery because of our own
resistance to God's will and our
    negative thoughts —
We hold on to drudgery from our
        own negativity — we should
do God's will with a positive 'yes'.
    Only by releasing ourselves of
        these negative, depressed,
        drudgery thoughts can we
        sail with His Might —
Look at Jesus carrying the cross —
He fell and got up for love of us —

Jesus the Little Boy of 12 shows His
wisdom to the doctors of the temple —
Jesus lived by the Father's Plan —
    Surrender to God's will —
Not feet bolted to the earth —
    Fly on eagle's wings —
See with the eyes that focus
        on what is beyond —
        not earthly eyes — focusing
        on our limited might —
        See, pray, know that
        God is almighty —

... for nothing is impossible to God.’  Luke 1: 37

5. R. We can see with our human eyes —
We can see with our human minds —
Reach with the desire to do God's will —
    relying on God's might —
    We are not alone!!
    God is with us.
See through the eyes of the Father —
Reach out — pray for an increase of
        faith, hope and love —
Life is rooted in God —
We must surrender to His will —
We lack faith and we lack trust
in God — Let go —
        Surrender —

6. R. We keep thinking we need to do it
    ourselves. The Father wants
us to be like little children —

Luke 10: 21

‘I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to little children'

We keep thinking we must do it
        ourselves —

7. R. We must ask God to help us know more
and more about Him — Insight into
    the Divine Mysteries —
    We stay after communion —
We sit in front of the tabernacle —
We pray to the Holy Spirit to be
more and more filled with grace —
        God's life in us —

8. R. Love is rooted in God —
God is the Author of Love —
    God is love —
    God is all knowing!!

We see Jesus showing His wisdom
in the Temple at 12 — We
realize we need to be taught —
God is teaching us now —
God gives us the Church —
        God gives us Himself —
We have the Word of God —
Jesus came to teach us about
            Himself —

9. R. Jesus is the Teacher —

Luke 2: 46-47

It happened that, three days later, they found him in the Temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions; and all those who heard him were astounded at his intelligence and his replies.

    R. We can be lost without Jesus —
We need Jesus — We need Jesus, Our Savior —
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life —
We need to find our way —
Jesus watches us struggle - with
    His arms outstretched He waits
for us - to choose to be closer to Him.
We fret and we fume and we worry
    and Jesus says

Song: Come Unto Me all who are Weary

R. Jesus says He is waiting for us —
Jesus says He loves us so much.

Jesus: Focus on Me —
You will be strengthened, have
    greater wisdom and knowledge,
be more loving the more you
    come to Me.

Galatians 2: 19-20

...I have been crucified with Christ and yet I am alive; yet it is no longer I, but Christ living in me.

Jesus: I am speaking to each one of you.
I want to be one in you and operate from you —
Do not give into anxiousness and fear —
See Me as I hung on the cross in perfect peace —
See Me as I walked on the way to Calvary —
    perfect peace —
    I love you, so much.
My Life lived in perfect peace —
I knew the Father's will —
You will have peace if you seek the Father's will and live by it —
Minute by minute, second by second,
I care for all your needs.
You cannot do the task I am calling you to
unless you have this union with Me —
You live in Me —
I live in your graced baptized soul.
You know the Father, Son and Holy Spirit live in you —
You have this constant presence in you —
You let Me operate in you in
love, doing the Father's will —
    You love your vocation —
You say 'yes' as Mary the perfect
    handmaid of the Lord —

This world has operated, many forgetting
about God — many are so sinful.
Do not follow the ways of this world —
Come to Me for your strength I am speaking to you here.
You are My mighty soldiers of My love —
go out into the world and deliver this message to the
hungry souls. You have been called, you have been chosen.
Pray to the Holy Spirit all day to grow
more and more in your wisdom
and knowledge of God and to
operate in this wisdom and
knowledge doing the Father's will.

10. From March 6, 1995 as Jesus and Mary appeared.

Jesus: Do this for the sake of souls,
I died for — I am calling you -
to endure the sufferings you cannot change
and to help others in love — love,
love, love - I beckon you.
The world is sinful —
Souls are at stake — many will
be condemned to eternal damnation.
You must busy yourself about this
work for souls, many souls will
be lost. Listen now — I call you —
I give you this message —

Song: Come Unto Me all who are Weary

Jesus: See the poor, the hungry, the homeless.
See the old — they wait — they need
these messages, the Nursing Home Ministry.
They are starving for My love, people are starving,
give them My messages of love — I beg you.
They were created for My love,
My chosen ones answer Me. Look at the world,
I talk to you. I love you so much.
Will you answer My call?
I call, My Mother calls you, now.
Who will I call if you do not answer.
I call you today — I let you experience
sorrow in your hearts to know
how I suffered for souls
that would be lost.
Give them My letters, give them the
rosary messages I give here —
tell the world My love. I beg you
to spread these rosaries throughout the world.
It is through the rosary you will fight satan.
The rosary is My weapon
against satan, The Mass — I give you
these weapons to fight satan —
Live in the Father's will —
Many have lost their way —
I am the Teacher.
I ask you to spread My love
letters to My beloved children
so that they will know the
love of Our Hearts —
So they will come home to our Hearts —
Mary is leading her children to you.
You must speak in love.

You need to circulate these letters.
You need to pray the rosary.
This is My call to you to go to the nursing homes
so that old people's hearts will not wander,
but will think and focus on God and pray for this world.
You I send into this world, for I will send those to you.
You must come to Me for strength,
for it is through Me that you will be strengthened.
You cannot ponder the job at hand.
The weariness is from satan, the strength is from Me.
The wisdom comes from the Divine God.
You must come to Me, be dependent upon Me
as a child dependent upon their father.
You must go to the Father and be ever closer to Him.
You are My chosen ones. I call to you this day.
You, I will lead into this world to spread the love
of My Heart and My Mother's Heart.

R. And they heard His plea and went into this
world with hearts that were filled with strength
and they flew on eagle's wings.
The power that powered them,
was the power of the Almighty God.
As they became one in Him,
He operated through them to a world
that was full of sin and pain.
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.
For He gives us the Church,
Himself in the Eucharist.

Jesus: I call you My chosen ones live in Me.

Song: Come Unto Me all who are Weary

Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.

Guiding Light - Steadfast to the Son
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle A of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00 plus postage

Guiding Light homily series - Steadfast to the Son - Cycle A — The sunflower is a great example of how we should be steadfastly guided by light. What a powerful thought that this exceptional plant is not stuck in one pose day in and day out, yet adaptable and magnetized to the sun. We feel the same about our Son. Our heads turns to face Christ as each day presents its challenges to find light. We join together like plants in a field and soak up the Son through the pulpit. We are a warm circle of strength using the wind of our breath to carry our priests' words, Christ's words, to new rich soil. $15

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle C of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Feed My Soul - Cycle C — In a world rapidly advancing and encouraging personal gain, we are faced with modern problems. There is a challenge to find time in our busy schedules for Sunday Mass or a family meal. We are able to research, shop, bank and even work without hearing one human voice. It is no wonder that we may often feel disconnected and famished at our week's end. In Fr. Joe's third book of homilies from Cycle C, we are reminded of the charity that Christ intended us to show each other. We have a calling to turn the other cheek and be the Good Samaritan to others. We are rewarded with the Father's kingdom and love when we are not worthy. We are not left alone or hungry. $15

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word
Inspiring Homilies Covering Cycle B of the Liturgical Year
$ 10.00 plus postage

Guiding Light - Focusing on the Word - Cycle B — At times we may feel that our path to Christ is a bit "out of focus". Like the disciples in the Book of Mark, this ordinary life clouds our vision of Christ's Divinity. We may doubt the practicality or possibility of applying His teachings and example to our modern life. Cycle B's homilies are a "guiding light" to help us realize Jesus' Messianic greatness and His promise of better things to come. $15

Guiding Light - The Word Alive in Our Hearts

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #1 - CD. - Christ is Our Strength - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. It is so beautiful. "This brief passage contains one of the greatest lessons of the spiritual life. As we progress along our spiritual journey, we become increasingly aware of how weak we are in our-selves, but how strong we are in Christ. To experience our weakness involves suffering. The degree and kind of suffering can vary. The suffering can include the experience of the classical dark night of the spirit as described by St. John of the Cross. One of the main purposes of the dark night is to make a person keenly aware of his or her helplessness without God." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10

Priestly Newsletter - 2000 #2 - CD. - Suffering: A Source of Life - Fr. Edward Carter, S.J. read it the year he died. Fr. Carter knew suffering that year. His voice is so powerful as he read each Newsletter from his heart and soul. "Every man has his own share in the redemption. Each one is also called to share in that suffering through which the redemption was accomplished. He is called to share in that suffering through which all human suffering has also been redeemed. In bringing about the redemption through suffering, Christ has also raised human suffering to the level of the redemption. Thus each man in his suffering can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ..." quote by Fr. Carter from the newsletter $10
